We, the students of RVS IMSR Sulur, Coimbatore Tamil Nadu had bought 120 pieces of HCL leaptops (model ec2) serial number starts from 5083A[protected]A1459570 in these leaptos about 50 pieces have major problems like white lines in the LCD monitor, 5 to 7 dots, inactive right click buttons, DVD drives hanged.We have already contacted your coimbatore HCL showroom, they informed us the cost will varies from[protected].The main thing is that we got our leaptops about 10 months back.

i bought a hcl laptop the previous year; after one month of its purchase i encountered tha images are not clear wenever i browse...
i even called the hcl helpline and the dealer concerned regarding the same and they suggested me to download java runtime environment and i did the same.. but to my dismay there was no improvement in the display of images and my problem remaine unsolved!!
plzzz help me in solving my problem!!

laptop is under warranty.Problems details as its screen is hang & white lining comes on it, Bluetooth is not working properly, battery backup is too low, lid is lose, touch pad right & left switches not working properly, processor is not working properly all screen is hang & all programs are become notresponding when i open more then one program to it. so I request to HCl ptl to replace it as soon as possible. or any step is not taken by u then i will go to the consumer forum.

I had puchaged a laptop in october 2008 . i merly used it only for one month and the display of the screen is showing as pink color . I then approched to the service center A 78, sector -2 noida office .
An executive look the matter and told me that please collect laptop today, or next day but they hanged me up to 2 week and even not giving any responce . Executives who are sitting in that building are not giving the responce behaved as rude . I alwayssuggest to new customer wha want to purchage the laptop or note book please not purchage the HCL goods like laptop or desktop .

I, Sourabh Bhattacharjee, had purchased one Laptop of HCL having the product Code AX0U2406 from India Computer Centre, Jhanda Chowk, Ramgarh Cantt, Jharkhand dated 23rd May 2008. Further I would like to give the following details of my purchase

I have underwent two major problems in my laptop within this period of one year. The first problem was that the DVD tray of my laptop was defective which was though repaired by the company. Again, the second problem that had arisen was that I got a stray mark in the LCD of my laptop. When this problem was brought to the retail vendor i.e.India Computer Centre, initially no response was found from their side. On repeatation of the problem, Mr. Jaydeep, owner of India Computer Centre, asked me to go to the service centre situated at Vidyalaya Marg, Ashok Nagar, Ranchi to register my complain. I had registered my complain through a toll free number and then deposited my laptop in the service centre for the repairing of the LCD. After a month, i.e. on 15th May 2009, my repaired laptop was returned to me. From yesterday again, the LCD which was repaired started to show problems and my warranty has also expired on 23rd May 2009.

I just got fed up with the vendor and the company service centres. I doubt whether they had actually replaced my old LCD with the new one. For the last one year I had to run here and there a lot for all these and I didn't get any cooperation from my vendor.

India Computer Centre has made all the commitments to provide required after sale services during the sale of the product but neither it has given any service nor sold a good product. One cannot expect a brand like HCL to produce such kinds of products which gets upset twice within a period of one year.

Hope to get required help quickly.

I purchased a HCL laptop in march 2009. But last month (april 2009) my charger/adapter stopped working. I went to HCL Touch at Mount Road, Chennai for a replacement and was given a job no [protected] for my laptop serial no C084AX224863 and was told that I will receive a new charger in 4 working days. But since then almost 14 days have passed and I have received nothing and not even a proper response from the shop. HCL helpline number always seems to be busy and it is waste of time trying to call the helpline numbers.

This is not only outrageous, but I have lost complete faith in brand name HCL.

I have given you my above mentioned laptop since 5th Jan’2009 at your Service Center for repairing which is not still repaired . This is the 7th time of giving you the complaint since purchase of the laptop. And each time you are taking 3 to 4 months or more times for repairing and that is not in satisfactory condition.
Since the time of purchase, I could rarely able to use the system, for it become out of order again and again .Even after repairing the same problem occurs. As a student I have been harassed a lot by your service.
To resolve the problem, I would like to request you to replace the said laptop with a new one with in a week, as I need it urgently for my advance study. Failing which I may go under court of law if it requires.

I have purchased my laptop on 01-09-08and my laptop is in warrenty period and DVD ROM of my laptop is not working.i have searched a lot of hcl service centre but they all are saying that they are not responsible for this n they say that u may call HCL leaptop helpline no. that is[protected] and i have called to that no. and they was saying that the no. has been changed to the no.[protected].when i call to that no. the service provider says that please check the no. you have dialled.This event is happening since 45 days.what i can do for this.
please help me as soon as possible to solve my problem.i'll be thankfull to you.

I am Puneet Sachdeva, i had purchased a latop of your company on 2nd March 2009 and the system was packed, i took it at my place and opened it and tried to start it but to my surprise i was not able to start it and neither it was getting charged also, to get it resolved i called up the person form where i purchased it, he told me that he cannot do anything in this as the system was packed and there is no guarantee i have to go to HCL service cente in green park in new delhi i still pressurised him to replace the laptop as it was a brand new laptop & why i should get iot repaired but there was no positive answer from him, then i went to service centre they told me there is problem of power button they would replace it in one day then kept the laptop and i called them up to confirm if it is repaired or not they confimed me that there is some problem in Motherborad & hard disk so i have to give them some more time to replace the things as they will get the things from company and now after four days they told me after replacing new mother borad and hard disk system is still not working and they are not able to find the problem also. i would request you to please help me in regard by replacing this laptop as it is absolutely new laptop . i hope company of your stature would take care of this as my experience with your company is very bad till date.

I purchased a laptop of HCL Notebook Model no.P 993-T2060 dealer convinced me to buy HCL from Jaipur but I purchase from your Jodhpur dealer to get better services,

1. My first complaint was regarding CD WRITTER on the 20th Aug 2008 for which Nero software was re-installed, but the writer cover original plate was missing, it was replaced by different model plate. (till Today)

2. Second was regarding card reader for which when I complain, I was asked to leave laptop.

After keeping it for 15 Days, I received it with mother board changed but the touchpad right sight button not working & three caps of laptop under the screen was not on its place + a screw on the CD writer side was loose, because of damage in body.



We complain to call center / service center and received the complain no.[protected]

Laptop was again sent to jaipur on 10/02/09 as asked by your official; we received it on 18/02/2008 After 8 days. They replaced PCB set & return laptop to my distant relative who was in Jaipur. When I collected it problem was not sorted and I doubt about replacement of PCB.



The CD-Writer cover, Screw and the caps were not fitted on the laptop, and PCMCIA socket cap is missing,

Secondly they say that they do not cover these under AMC.

Now I have complained again at your toll no. according to which they say that laptop was not repaired and are asking to handover my laptop to them once again which I have already received with call status closed, and Engineer feedback check OK sign.

3. When I complain again to toll no. HCL officer saying that there is no need to give again complain no. because complain is pending. Than I ask for higher official contact no. they give me NODIA HCL office number.

When I told the problem they fell sorry and request to give some time to give complain no. which was 190209/01 by Mr.Mukesh ji and the second complain was register at NODIA 190209/11 by Mr.. Ramanand kumar 19/02/2009.

They haven’t contacted till now and when I call them up they said they nothing can be done as parts of this model is available.

We are surprize to see such a bad level of service from HCL.

We had booked an laptop and we recived the laptop under invoce nos [protected]. This is in name of Mr. O P Shrivastava.
and delivered at address D-26, Shanti Sadan, sector 12 Kharghar.
Following items were missing

1. Battery. 2. proper wifi driver

Inspite of keeping you informed from day of delivery till date we have not recieved the Battery and the right driver for wifi.

I request you to provide me the missing items ASAP or

we will be forced to take legal means to resolve this and go to consumer court for justice

I had purchased a HCL Leaptop from a reputed Electronics Shop at Behala, Kolkata in Nov 2006 and have paid for AMC also. At the time of purchasing, it was not mentioned that we need Windows XP CD for formatting the machine, if the machine becomes slow. We were given 5 ystem CDs along with the Leaptop. At the time of doing AMC also, we were not aware that HCL will not format our leaptop in case it becomes slow without the XP CD. The AMC paperworks were also not completed by HCL.

On 13th Jan 2009, we enquired at their service center in Kolkata that our Leaptop has become slow, so can we come to the service center to fix the problem. The reply we got was "yes". On taking the leaptop to their Shakespeare Sarani Service Center, we faced the following problems -

1. We were made to wait for about half an hour without any reason. Their service center people "forgot" to attend to us.

2. They said that the AMC paperwoks is not complete, so we should go to the Gariahat center and get it completed.

3. They will not be able to attend to our leaptop without the XP CD and they cannot provide any XP CD. We have to get it for ourselves. This issue was not cleared on 13th Jan when we enquired on phone before going to their service center.

I do not know if it will be of any use to post my complain in this website or any action will be taken by the HCL people or not but still I felt that people need to be made aware about the unprofessionalism of HCL Service Center.
