Dear sir/madam
I had account with HDFC bank Calicut branch, I had with withdrawal the amount 10000/rs from The PNB bank atm Delhi but the amount 1000k only I got from the atm and its atm slip shows 10000/rs withdrawal its in[protected]:19 ATM ID D 2150400
.I spoke to ATM coordinator they said the amount will credit with in 24 hours but it not credited so again I called on[protected] to phone banker registered a complaint complaint no 51350202 and they said the amt will credit my a/c with in 12 working days so I wait for that .In july 6 I checked my a/c the amt not credited so I gone to branch meet ATM coordinator she said the amt will credit[protected] but the amt not yet credited still[protected] so aging called phone banker they are not giving a clear answer so pls do the needful sir

This is to bring to your notice regarding my complaint No Hyd012236 which was logged on
13th May 2009 with HDFC Bank and still I have not received a proper response on that. Below are the complaint details.

Subject of Complaint: ATM Withdrawal

I have tried to withdraw Rs 4200/- from the HDFC ATM located at Franklin Templeton ISC at Hyderabad Gachibowli office. I have not taken the cash but immediately when I checked the mini statement, it was showing a debit of Rs 4200/-. The same moment, I called up HDFC call center and spoke to Swapna who told me that TAT is 4 days and the money will be credited into my bank account on the 4th Day automatically. As I have not received any update on the 4th day, out of curiosity, I again called up the call center and I was told that I have to fill the charge form and submit that at one of the nearest branch and the TAT for getting the money is 12 days. This is absolutely not accepted as I have missed by other commitments because of HDFC ATM problem and over an above, instead of resolving my query they are always giving me TATs which I am not concerned about.

I want HDFC Bank to answer to my below questions and do the needful.


1) Why I was not informed on the same day of complain that I have to fill up the charge form and hand it over at the nearest branch?
2) Why I have not received any call from your bank regarding my complaint status?
3) Who is going to look after my other commitments amounting to the above amount which is pending because my money is still lying with your bank?
4) Who is going to pay the charges of my calls what I have made for last 4 days to your call center?
5) I have missed my payment dates because I was not able to pay the amount on time to my other banking agencies. This has put my credit worthiness for a toss?
6) How will your bank compensate for the trouble what I had for all these days.?.

I attempted to withdraw Rs. 15000 through a hdfc outlet in goregaon area mumbai on 28.9.2009. the cash was not delivered but the amount was debited from my above account. i complained to the manager, cbi, nepz, noida branch on 29.9.2009 where i hold the above account. i request you to kindly look into the matter and credit the said amount in my account at the earliest.

On 23.10.2009, I made a complaint vide C/23102009/66 but no action has been taken so far .pl. expedite.

I went to SBI ATM at SBI Administrative Office, Garh Road, Meerut. There are Two ATMs
I tried to with draw Rs. 2000 but it came as unable to process at 13th Nov. 2009 time 17:30, but
the amount is debited my account on. When I have checked with 2nd ATM I found that Rs 2000/-
deduct my account and I have not get any cash from the same ATM.

I bring to ur kind notice that there was a debit entry on 15/12/2009 at 19-30 hrs. for Rs.2000/- for which there was no actual withdrawal when I tried to withdraw from Canara Bank ATM at Vaishalinagar.Subsequently I have withdrawn the same amount through Andhra Bank ATM. Since there is a double debit to my account, the rectification may be done at the earliest.

On 20th of October 2010, I had requested HDFC atm to withdraw 25000, after request the ATM discharged 23 notes of Rs. 1000 and 11 notes of Rs. 100, so there was a shortfall of Rs. 900 in the transaction. As per your complaint received from Phonbanking we checked the atm & we have not found any Excess amount in the atm.

And as per audit trail the said txn showing as clear withdrawal.so we can not credit your A/c

After all this, I lost 900 bucks for nothing, so after government banks are next to loot our money this way.

    I Invested Rs.5000/- in HDFC Mutual Fund - Long Term Equity Fund -Growth Plan in the year 10.02.2006. Folio.No.2690642/26. During 15th March 2006 I sent a Redemption Request to CAMS . But I got a letter from CAMS mentioning that it cannot be redempted because it is a close ended equity scheme. Meanwhile, I checked with HDFC Bank and they confirmed the redemption can be submitted on 1st July 2010. So I again sent a Redemtion request on 1st July 2010. But I got a SMS on 07.07.2010. saying that your REDEMPTION IS REJECTION. When is called the Customer Care Mr. Ganesh, he informed that the signature is mismatching. I informed him I have signed before 4 years. I am signing this signature for all banks. I told him you want to retain the money with you. And he connected to his supervisor Mr.Raghavan, I informed him the urgency of the money.day.He told to get the attestation from the Indian Bank otherwise he told to come directly to his office since today is the last day. because the scheme is a close ended scheme it will take another one month to open.
    I just want to clarify the below points.

    1) I have the sent the Redemption Request on 30.06.2010 and it was received by CAMS representative on 01.07.2010 at 10.30.
    WHY HDFC CAN'T VERIFY THE SIGNATURE BEFORE ITSELF,
    AND INFORM ME.
    2) The Supervisor, Mr.Raghavan, informed that there is a slight difference in the difference in the signature.
    THE INVESTMENT WAS MADE ON 2006, NOW IT IS 2010. SO THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE.IF YOU WANT TO CHECK, YOU CAN CALL MY MOBILE AND CONFIRM.
    3) He informed that each and every customer they cannot call and ask regarding this.
    FOR INVESTMENT PURPOSES,DAILY I AM GETTING NEARLY 10 -15 CALLS, BUT FOR REDEMPTION PURPOSES THEY HAVE NO TIME TO CALL.

    BASED ON THE ABOVE FACTS, I CAN CLEARLY UNDERSTAND, THAT HDFC MUTUAL FUND DOESNOT WANT TO GIVE THE MONEY BACK.
    I DON'T KNOW IN OTHER CASES HOW IT WORKS LIKE INSURANCE.

    HDFC Equity Fund - Growth — Not received redemption money

    Dear Concerned,

    Inspite of repeated reminders through mail & telephone the matter as still not been resolved. It has been more then a month that I have been following up with your respective department, with no responce from their end.

    I belive you would appreciate the timely release of my money that has been invested with you, with the assurance of a good service from your bank

    Anticipating a reply soon from your end.

    reliance infrastructre fund the nav is not keep rising though nfo june 2009 invested in larger value does realize any appreciation in NAV status even though the stock market
    gone from the day to 15%

    is any technical fault of investment from the fund manager compare to others.

    please reply and please advise would i have to shift this fund to some other co.

    reliance we had a good hope that time.

      Dear Friend,

      I would like to make you alert on few details regarding HDFC and other limited companies.

      HDFC home loan is a limited company and is not a banking institute.
      It is a self regulated financial organization and is not at all regulated as a refinancing institute or is not a Banking institute. Sales officers makes people fool by stating HDFC Home loan as part of banking division. Even interest rates charged by HDFC is very high which is increased in subsequent years.

      As such rates of interests for home loan are definitely regulated by RBI but limited and private companies do not fall under their per-view. These companies fall under company Act and not under Banking Act.

      At time of taking loan these companies promises low rates of interest and then increases rates of interest in subsequent years, which increases your burden of repayment in form of slow poison eating your lots of money.

      I will share my personal experience:

      I have a very bad experience with HDFC, My loan of 11 lac with tenure was only 20 years and was promised with 3% discounted rates for my loan account as the company with which I was working was a corporate client of HDFC, so my loan started at 7.25% rate of interest and a low EMI of 8595/- Rs only.

      In later stages HDFC revised rates of interest stating that my loan is on floating rates, where as no discounted rates are applied to my account. More on no reduction in rates are done at all even when rates of interest of other banks and institutes fall down. Even when they offer low interest rates to new customers – on my inquiry they asked for a proceeding fees of almost 12 thousand rupees to revise the rates of interest.
      My EMI is also revised to 10,526/- Rs and the tenure is now increased. Today even after paying EMI for more then 6 years my tenure of repayment is more then 18 years and EMI is increased from 8695/- Rs per month to 10526/- Rs per month. So I will end up paying money to HDFC for more then 24 years.

      So I will end up paying four additional years with new EMI to HDFC which will make me a loss of almost 10-12 lac rupees.

      HDFC is offering new customer 8.25 rates of interest where as even when I am a old customer with corporate tie up with the company – I am charged almost 11% rates of interest and I am screwed up by paying more EMI.

      I have started legal proceedings against HDFC – and warn you all that dont take loan from HDFC other wise your people will also end up in soup and will have to pay huge for small things.

      REQUEST YOU ALL TO TAKE LOANS ONLY FROM BANKING INSTITUTES AND NOT FROM ANY LTD COMPANY--
      Ask following questions at time of taking loan.

      1.Is the company having word “Bank” in its name.
      2.If the company is refinancing company - take in written that – rates of interest in the company will be regulated as per RBI norms.
      3.Only those people whose files are not getting approved from banks and documents are not clear enough and are in need of loan should opt for such institutes, but mind it these ltd companies slowly increases rates of interest and eats away your lots of money charging high rates of interest.

      PLEASE NOTE – HDFC is a limited company and not a BANK. Only banking institutes or company with word “Bank” in its name are regulated by RBI.
      Before signing any document of ltd company please read the terms and conditions completely and take a lawyers advise if needed before going ahead to sign the same.

      Please disseminate this information to all your friends and relatives so that they are not cheated by any private company in case of loans / home loans.

      As per Policy this should be under 8.70,

        I had applied for Home loan with my wife as co-applicant a month back. The processing fees of Rs.11030/- was also paid thru cheque. We were allotted an home loan a/c no[protected]Jeevan Deep Building, Kolkata) & asked to quote this in all future correspondences. After this HDFC was silent for 2 weeks in the name of processing the loan. The cheque was also encashed during this period. All required documents were submitted as & when required. On 06/07/10 I called to enquire about the status of our loan & was told by the concerned person that the loan cannot be processed due to some internal policy of HDFC. In no circumstances we were told the reason for not sanctioning the loan.

        We have already done the booking for the flat for which we required the loan & HDFC was the 1st choice because of their proffessional approach in dealing with the customers. We are surprised & taken aback by the lukewarm response from the bank. We were clearly told to get the loan from another bank. This behaviour of the bank has clearly opened our eyes & we now understand the way the bank operates with their customers. We now feel completely cheated since the processing fee is also taken & the loan not sanctioned.

        We now request you to return the processing fees immediately since we are not in favour of wasting our money by dealing with such banks.

            i have been following up with ERGO since 24th of june for the ERGO claim on my home loan. they keep on giving me one complaint number for another and are doing nothing. this is very frustrating. they had to send me a clain form which thet have not sent. what is the use of having an isurance if they cannot be o[censored]se to you in your bad times?

            HDFC Home loan/Insurance — Insurance

            I HAVE TAKEN A LOAN OF RS13 lakhs and preclosed. I have received the all the paper but they yet to reassign the nominee to my spouse name for the insurance premium paid. Even after regular follow up I get very unprofessional response.
            HDFC Ergo and the EGO of their employees are two sides of a coin.
            They reflect what they are in nut shell
            while at one side -till you buy their policy they pleade, please, make you happy.
            and the other side-when you have brought it you want certain clarification or assistance expect the opposite.
            They show their real colours.
            They even abuse you, threat you.

            Hey you are cheated in the most diplomatic way.

              Hi,
              I am in then process of availing a home loan from HDFC Ltd(Baner brqanch) for a resale property. I had submitted all my documents on 6th of June and they gave me a sanction by 25 June. That is 3 bloody weeks. When I went and asked them before starting then loan process they were happy to inform that the sanctioning will be done in 7 working days and it will take 3 working days for disbursement. I think they should not fool the customers like this. It has been 3 weeks for sanction and God knows when will they disburse the amount.
              They will not do a follow up at all. I think atleast nationalised banks are a better option atleast they will follow up and will give you some definitive answer. Here I dont get answer as the manager in branch is completely useless. Whenever I call him he just says that he will get back to me after talking to HDFC Shivaji Nagar branch. I dont know how HDFC selects their managers if they dont have the power to take decisions.
              It has been around 4-5 rounds of Baner and Shivaji Nagar and still I am waiting for a definitive answer as to when I will get my loan disbursed.
              Also everytime I go there is a new person who studies my case and asks me silly questions which I have already answered to their previous employee. I dont know what is the process they follow and why dont they stick to a single individual.
              Also all these sales people are uneducated as whenever you ask them something about some documents, why are they needed they starightly tell that they do not have the knowledge and will have to talk to legal team. They are also not sure of what all documents are required. I think a person working in the branch for 6 months will be aware of all the processes.
              I would beware that it is never an option to go to HDFC Ltd for any resale home loan realted issue.

              Mine is an internal loan transfer case.It has been 1 month and still my file has not being logged in at shivajii nagar branch but instead they need a new document every alternate day.I am literally fed up calling the bank officials and sales executive...I feel ur lucky atleast ur loan is sanctioned.

                I had made my PF claim 01/04/2010 and submitted all the required document to HR department. After almost 1 month they told me to pay Rs 5748/- for notice period amount and I had sent the cheque also. now they are refusing to pay amount of Providend fund and Pension and giving different type of excuses.
                My complaint is that take strict action against Mr. Vignesh Iyer for delaying PF settlement.Its almost 3 monts of process. Please help me to provide my PF fund.

                  HDFC is a bank that is full of crooks. My father and l invested £50K with it's merger bank..was Bank of Punjab in Amritsar Golden Temple Branch. Since HDFC has taken over. Despite the the Fixed Deposit maturing sometime ago. They are refusing to return my money with or without any interest. They are the worst greedy people l have seen and l hope soon someone will take them to the houses of parliament over their scandals. There is corruption from top to bottom in that bank. I have worked hard to save that money. All was fine when it was Bank of Punjab.

                  Thank you for your response, l have no way of telling that the person who is actually commented to my complaint is genuine or not. There is no way l am going to post my details over the net, l have no trust in the HDFC bank managers/people from the experience my father has had.                     I got a SMS from HDFC on 15 jun 2010 mentioning that my ATM Debit pin is dispatched but till date i dont know where it has gone.I called up HDFC spoken with there executive she told gave complaint number.After a week i called them again spoken with there executive VICTOR on 02 jul 2010 he told me that i will received a call from there side on 03 jul 2010.In the evening at 7:45 pm i gave them a call again the person said that now i will received a call on MONDAY i.e 05 jul 2010.I asked him to send my ATM Pin at my residence address but he said from through phone banking he cannot do so.I fail to understand WHAT to do..............WILL I GET MY PIN ...........

                    I have been a customer of the HDFC bank through the corporate account from January 2005


                    I had asked for a new debit card three months back since i had lost my old card.I received the card but the ATM pin never arrived.Since then I have made 3 requests for the pin & it has not been provided still.Each time I make a request money is deducted from my account as 'PIN REGN CHARGES ' & 'ST & CESS ON DUPL PIN CHGS', this should not be the case since 1) the PIN has never reached me & 2) since the card that I have is a corporate card.


                    HDFC bank is soo cheap that they take charges for the services that have neverbeen provided.I am with out a PIN for the past 3 months & all my money is stuck in the account.The staffs at the bank is not bothered.I approached the Kalyanangar Branch & they tell me that i need to go the Kasturba Road Bank, & the kasturba road bank asks me to contact the customer care, so this brings me back to SQUARE ONE The staff at the banks is just not bothered, the pass the customer from one person to another as if in government offices.They are uninterested & not interested in the customer problems


                    The customer care is so mannerless, the talk rudely they waste time & do no work.I have to first wait for long time for me to get across to one customer service guy & I have to repeat the same story to each person that they passs me on to .Each department gives me a different story each time


                    The end result is that i have still not got my ATM pin.The bank & its staff has displayed the ultimate callous behaviour .IT is disgusting to be part of such a bank.

                      Today I have visited Stephen House HDFC Branch at morning 9.45AM for Deposit Cash to my Account home branch is at Shyam Bazar, but they denied to take the cash. They has given the reason as a policy Cash is not accepted in Case of Salary Account. My Account is around 5 year old and I have not faced this type of problem ever before.                       Bull This is all Fake From HDFC bank. I lodged complaint regarding same problem 3 months back my account num is [protected], and i was being that now my accont is normal saving accnt i maintained qab of 30000 since then and yest i went to deposit cash and again they said they cant accept cash.HDFC is a big time sucker, , it sucks worst bank which i have seen.i am waiting for my PF then will close this bull
                      same as above me too have visited to hdfc branch they denied me to deposit cash on my accout...plz provide me this facility on my account plz reply on my mail that is [protected]@gmail.com
                      Is any RBI rule to deny cash deposit in HDFC salary a/c. Why they are not accepting cash deposit.

                        Around 1 month has been passed I have applied for Platinum Debit Card, I am yet to receive my card from the Bank, however I have received PIN for the same.............the problem is that the card I am using has been invalid due to new card issued for the same. Since I am not a net-banking user please let me know the option for which should Iproceed and also advice how can I register my self for net-banking if I have not logged in whithin 180 days from the date of open of account?????????

                        sir, i applied for netbanking via.phone banking on 17/12/2009.again on26/12/2009 and was assured to reach same within 7 or8 days.got an sms on 29/12/2009 for /dispatching the ipin to reach in 10 days.my request no was[protected].but sorry not reached till today.on dated08/01/2009 enquired but nothing in system.again request has been put on monday.my req.no is[protected].got an sms just now regarding dispatch of ipin today to reach in 10 days.see what happens?

                        On 20th July 2010 at 09.36 a.m. HDFC BANK(through mobile number [protected]) sent SMS on mobile number [protected] which reads as under:-

                        Your HDFC Bank Debit card has been dispatched via (AWB [protected]) through Express IT Courier to your registered mailing address with the bank. In case you do not reeive your card within 7 days Please contact HDFC Bank Phone banking.

                        Today, when i contacted HDFC Bank Phone Banking Service, it has been understood that they have dispatched Debit card on 17th July 2010.

                        To my surprise, till date I have not received my debit card. Does witin Mumbai, it take so much time for delivery of consignment?

                          Dear Sirs,

                          We had taken a housing loan from HDFC LTD (“The Company”), in the year 2006, whilst we were in Dubai, UAE. The loan was taken @ floating rate of interest, for buying a property in Ernakulam, Kerala, for Rs. 27 lakhs.

                          We have had a host of issues with this company during the tenure of the loan, due to which we chose to make an early repayment and close the said loan within about 4 years of availing the same.

                          We have observed that the company had increased the rate of interest whenever the market rate of interest had gone up. However, we have not seen them reducing the rate of interest charged to our account at the same speed, whenever the market rate of interest came down! When we had enquired regarding this unique phenomenon, the company officers, with whom we had interacted in Dubai and Ernakulam, had conveyed to me that it was appropriate as per their internal regulations. Furthermore, they said that we need to execute a fresh loan application and enter into a fresh loan agreement to avail the reduced market rate of interest. We believe that this might be an unfair trade practice by a large corporate, on their unorganized, isolated, hapless customers, which nobody would want to object.

                          We were not aware of this “consumer complaints forum” untill now, when we actually stumbled upon it today.

                          Is it possible to help us by taking up this issue with the company? Please forgive us if our understanding of floating rate interest loans is flawed.

                            Respected Sir,

                            With due respect, I beg to inform you that, I, Suman Mitra, am holding a credit card of HDFC Bank vide no. [protected] against my savings bank A/c No [protected] in same Bank from January 2008. Basically the above No. credit card was issued to me against my Savings Bank Account.

                            Since month of February’09 I have been undergoing some financial crisis and not able to pay the credit card bill in proper time. The same had been updated to Bank in time properly. Suddenly in month of June’09 HDFC Bank Card Division had done a lien in my savings bank account due to the non payment of credit card bill without any prior intimation. I was in a very big financial trouble at that time and requested Bank to unhold my account but they did not bother & asked that was not possible for them to unhold a lien account and as per the Bank’s policy if once any Savings A/c can lien, Bank has no rights to free the account except debited lien amount.

                            After a telephonic discussion with HDFC Executive I had made a visit to HDFC Bank credit Card Division Kolkata office but they neither supported me nor unhold my account. Next day after a long telephonic discussion we had come to a negotiation that a final amount of Rs.28,000/- ( Twenty Eight Thousand only ) as settlement against my dues. At that time they had deducted Rs. 24210.63 on 18.06.09 which had already held by the Bank, but did not hand over the settlement letter to me. After continuous follow up with Credit Card Division by E-Mail or by Telephone, Bank had updated me that the executive, whom I had made my settlement, had left the Organization & hence as of now I am not able to receive the settlement letter. At that time since the settlement letter was not provided and for that reason I had disagreed to pay any amount. Next month, I had to attain a Business Trip out side the state and had also informed the bank for the same and arranged to collect the pending amount after hand over the settlement letter. At that time one of Bank’s Executive ( Mr. Dharam ) had updated me that once I made the payment of minimum of Rs. 2000, Bank would handover the settlement letter. At the same month I had paid Rs.2,000/- to HDFC bank urgently but unfortunately became a fool to receive the letter. I had communicated with Bank customer care by E-mail but not get any positive response form their side.

                            In between I had received two or three calls from Bank’s end during every month & while I had asked for my settlement letter they just avoided to attend to my query & disconnected the calls. After that I had come to know from one of Bank’s Executive Rimpa Das ( 4005210 /[protected] that Bank had the earlier executive with whom my settlement terms were discussed against Rs. 2,000/-, had been terminated from the Bank. Rimpa Das had asked me to be in touch with Ms. Swaswati Mukherjee at [protected] but she was not responding to my calls. Even after this, I had made desperate attempts to be in touch with Bank’s Customer Services but I was not attended by any of Bank’s customer Services team. Suddenly in the month of November Bank had further held up my account as lien and debited amount of Rs. 3152.98 from my account but not provided any settlement letter and neither any explanation for the deduction of amount from my account. Due to some personal as well as official disturbances, I became irregular to follow up with Bank’s Customer Service Desk continuously.

                            After the month of November 2009, I had been receiving calls from the Customer Care team and whenever I had asked for the settlement letter, they simply neglected my request and used to reply that they are arranging for the same and often the calls would get disconnected. If we go through with the recording version with Bank’s executive discussion with me we can get the actual fact. During April 2010 last week , I had received a call from one of Bank’s Customer care executive , asking for a new settlement in about Rs 13,000 – 14,000 but the same was not accepted by me as I had been earlier requesting for the settlement letter which was not provided by the Bank .And now on 25 June , I had come to know that my Net Banking Access was disabled for some time without any intimation or any of my fault and an amount of Rs 47241.96 has been held up by the bank as lien and Bank had updated me that the money had been held up as part of the terms & conditions of the Credit Card usage.

                            Presently I get a transfer outside the State with my family, I have been in a big scarcity of funds & more over since bank has held up my money, I am unable to carry out my basic activities. Today also I have been trying for a long time to connect with any of Bank’s executive in Kolkata –[protected] /[protected]No s provided by Customer Service Office by E-Mail ) but got busy many times. I have some dependency in my family & I will make plans accordingly based of my wages. So at present I am in very critical situation.

                            I would kindly request your intervention at the earliest to resolve this issue as me and my family is in mental trauma just because of the Bank’s behavior. Hence ensure to get release my blocked money and the settlement letter.

                                  this in regards to CAR LOAN APPLIED with HDFC>>>
                                  They have rejected my loan stating some negtive score in CIBIL.
                                  However i have submiitted all supporting documents for clerance of any outstanding against me and there are no outstanding dues against me.

                                  I tried explaning them but they never listened to me .
                                  SAD Part is i was told to book my car i did that and then they told application is rejected.

                                  What can be done for same...!!!!!!

                                  In common terms i[censored] have cleared all your dues and same is not relected in CIBIL then what customers like do...HDFC IS referring to OLD AGE DATA and deciding the same....

                                    HDFC Bank — disappointing service at hdfc bank, anand niketan

                                    I have an hdfc bank salary account (at hdfc bank ,c-17,anand niketan branch, chanakya puri ) with act no-[protected] which i have been using for more than 2 years. 3 weeks back my debit card got captured in another banks atm because of some mal function and i had to approach my branch for a replacement. Even after four visits to the branch in three weeks up to june 29,2010 and filling up of numerous forms they couldnot provide me with an replacement debit card, cheque book or phone banking or net banking pin at the branch. They were not willing to update either my phone number or address even after i provided lease agreement for home as address proof. This is highly disappointing and unacceptable in an age where other banks are looking to provide competitive services to customers. I no longer think that the branch is going to take any step to help me. What should i do?
