Hi,

I have been using 2 Idea postpiad connects for the last 4 years. For the past 6 months I am being worngly billed for GPRS although I have activated this service. Everytime I call up the CC they say that it will be reverted in the next bill and it takes close to 1 month to revert the amount. And again in the nexr bill the charges appear. I am frustrated by this and I tried cancelling this number. But they are reluctant to return my STD deposit. They do not want me to cancel the number and are offering some or the other useless freebies. I also have not been refunded the GPRS charges for 2 months. But when I raise this with the CC they properly ignore it and nobody wants to go into calculations. I would suggest nobody should go for a Idea connection and should prefer other operators.

i am so depressed from idea. till it was spice it was good. i got a msg from cc that free national sms have been removed from existing sms packs... how can you do this with your old custmr...? cc said k you dont have any service that 2000 national sms in 80 rs...
this service was activated from the activation day of my number... can you please tell me that what the hell is happening????????????????//
I have tried most of the operators of atlest a year each (including AIRTEL, BPL, RELIANCE, TATA, TRUMP and now VODAFONE). each and every operator has some or the other problems and customer care is not intrested or doesnt know the solution of our problems.

there was a normal call which was attended by me and then i came to know that this is a promotional call recorded voce mail from idea, offering coller tunes. as i did not need that service, i disconnected the call. later on i got a message saying that you have opted for coller tunes and soo it will be activated.Then i rang up to idea customer care (Mr Ankush) and informed the same to him. He told me, you will have to run this service for atleast one month.

As i don' t want this service and there was none of my fault. i request you to do the needful.

i am using idea network in kerala(ernakulam, piravom). here
speed is too slow and can't able to use. here every one changing the
network because of the low speed. whether i want to wait or change the

want to just replace my idea sim card which was stolen ... but really i dont like the way they talk they people were just so unprofessional .. one sardar guy was setting there at that time was even very abbussive to me ...M not having any problem with my issue but there cust services is worst .. they denied to replace my sim due to x y z reason i dont care but when i m asking the reason they are just saying no reason in this .. i asked him is this the cust service they said just make a complaint on it ... nd even all the executive setting on that store providing pathetic services ... idea peoples are the robbers i suggest dont take idea to u all ...
i transfer my prepaid number to postpaid on 11/05/2009 at 10:40 am.
thay told me your no. is activatied in 72hrs. but till today 15/05/09 no response from ideacare.
And all verification complete on 12.05.09 at 8:30am by me.

i have taken a idea post paid connection but still after 6 days they didn't give me my no. and i don't know when they will start my no. i have already submmited all documents and payments after taken payment they are not doing good behavior with me...please sir help me...my contect no. is [protected]

Thanks for your support to bring resolution on this long pending issue. Though vide appended mail dated June 10, 2009 you have confirmed to credit my mobile account by Rs.313/- for the number [protected], I have been issued 02 Notices from your office to settle the entire amount of Rs.532/-.

The said notices dated June 10, 2009 are delivered to my residential address yesterday i.e. 17th June 2009. Of the 02 notices raised on me one is from your recovery department and other is from your advocate Mohit Gadkari & Co.

I am quite confused because your appended mail states I need to pay only Rs.220/- whereas your Recovery Department & Advocate are claiming for Rs.532/-. Hence need your support in knowing what is the final payment due from my side? If it is a mistake from your recovery department and advocate then please send them the proper communication with a copy to me to avoid further inconvenience.

The waiver given to me is not out of favor but is for the rectification of mistake from your end. This shows clear lapse in the system which results in mere harassment of the customer wherein you impose faulty charges and then send unnecessary communications/notices with the threat legal action for recovery. If this nuisance is not stopped immediately then unfortunately I also need to approach Consumer Forum.

This is with references to subject demand letter No. Idea/Mum/FDL/0705-1/F[protected] dated 22nd May 2009. Vide this said demand note you have raised demand of Rs. 531.80 on the undersigned Postpaid customer of Idea Cellular services (Number [protected]).

Appended is the response sent from Office Email ID to your demand letter;

In the said Demand letter it is mentioned that the services for the mobile number [protected] are stopped. I am happy to hear this but this could have done 4 months back when I had personally visited to your kiosk at Bhandup – Mumbai (the only service station near to my residence). I went there with the written request to deactivate my number because I was not getting proper network connectivity at my residence at Vikhroli. Your executive there refused to accept the written request and informed me to fill in the deactivation form. On her request I had asked for the deactivation form but I was told that the forms were out of stock. Then again after 02 working days I went to said kiosk but that time also the forms were not available. Hence I had requested your executive to at least accept the deactivation request letter duly signed by me but my request was again forfeited. When I procured the connection that time person from the same service center personally visited my residence to collect address proof with the SIM card but the same type of service was not given when I raised the request for deactivation.

After completion of billing period in the next month you had raised an invoice for the rental which I had not paid. On overdue of payment I got a call from your call center on the alternate number ([protected]) requesting to settle the outstanding. On this call I had informed the above incidence wherein I was not being given the deactivation form at your Kiosk. The call was ended with no satisfactory outcome.

Next month again one more invoice was furnished (that was for 02 months rentals alongwith interest on overdue payment) and I had not paid the same as well. On overdue again I got a call from your call center on my alternate number for settlement of outstanding dues. With the great patience I had re-explained the whole mistry and the call was ended with the confirmation that the incidence briefed by me would be communicated to the senior authorities. From that day I had neither received any phone call nor invoice.

In your demand letter it is mentioned that “on personal visit from your representative” I have not settled the claim which is not false because till time no one from Idea Cellular Services met me to recover so called unreasonable outstanding claim.

Yesterday i.e. 28th of May 2009, I had received the demand letter issued from your recovery department with the threat to take legal action against me if the dues are not settled within seven days. Please note I had requested your several executives to deactivate my services but nobody helped me to do so and hence I myself had stopped using your services the same can be checked from your system.

I am ready to pay one month rental & service tax thereon for the services which are not availed by me but not going to accept the forcefully levied incorrect charge of Rs.531.80. Here the mistake is not of mine but still I am ready to accept the charge for one month rental to kill this prolonged issue.

Even after my willingness to settle your unreasonable dues partially if I have been forced to make full payment then I have no option but to raise this issue with consumer forum and local authorities.

I will be happy to see a quick response on this which will help me to do the needful (either make the payment of one month rental with service tax or raise this issue with consumer forum).

I too agree with all the above mentions of bad customer service and unfriendly customer attitude of Idea. Aditya Birla Group who owns the company is a big name in the market and the attitude that the workers of Idea will tarnish their image. I have had many other providers services and have not had this sort of experience from Idea apart from Reliance. The rest of the providers are at least trying to provide prompt action on a complaint even if their networks are bad. Being a post paid customer if you have to make an interim payment every 7 days could easily opt to take a pre-paid connection and recharge as and when you need it. I feel that there is no need for a post paid connection if there is a limit on your calling. I can understand if the bills are not paid on time, but this rule has been imposed from the very first day that you have taken the connection. I am not sure if the higher-ups are noticing this blogs and I am sure that if they have, it would open their eyes and take appropriate action against erring customer service agents and officials manning their stores and the help lines.
Today I also came across a cab driver who has a pre paid connection who is not very fluent in English and people at the helpline were mocking at him when he answered in Kannada. I took over the call and explained to them that this person had recharged Rs.60 this week and he has not make calls, but his balance states 0.00. I was told to call back with the validation date ( The next agent who answered the call did not ask for it and was prompt in giving me the details), just to ward off the query. I understood that they have activated Kushwant Jokes, Wakeup Song and Naughty Jokes. I explained to the CSR that the driver does not even know to read and write English and what are the use of these jokes which is charged at Rs.30, Rs.30 and Rs.25 respectively from the last 3 years and did not notice until today that these amounts are being deducted. I was told that a message was sent and he had clicked on okay to activate the services. I requested for a refund of the charges and was very rudely told that it is not possible and that even if I go to any authorities or file a complaint, I will not get a refund as they have proof that these services were activated by the customer. I told them that even if you want to come back to the main screen of the mobile, you press okay and that is not an indication that we are willing to subscribe for their service. I was told then that the terms and conditions that a person signs when taking a connection clearly mentions them. I could not continue with the conversation as I was late for work. The customer service rep that I spoke to was very rude on the phone and when I informed her that I am recording the conversation, I was told that you can do anything and they do not care. God only help them and the company.
My no. [protected] blocked for STDs since last three days. There is no solution to the problem. No body is there to listen till i approach to the court for this silly thing. These operators do not have any fear of leagalities or law enforcement because law is very linient towards them. General people can not afford to spend time in leagal transactions. Spending time on these thing is loss of work and a national loss also. I think 20 to 25% indians remain out of work to spare time for these things only.There is no use of making any system in India. After spending Rs 1000 for annual subscripion i have to run door to door. Even they are not murcifull enough to allot another number for time being so that i can save my business.
I suggest close all customer care centers and give this job to company outlets which are distributing connections. I am sure the customer services will improve. But do not put any customer care center in between.

i am user of GPRS service of Idea cellular services. i am facing lot of problem like. depite of having full network on my phone i m unable to access net with full speed. and many times it not even get connected to net showing message. connection is ended by remote machine.

due to this i have faces many financial as well as mental harm.

I have a similar problem, idea is cheating innocent customers, I have called the customer service to enquire about the GPRS information and never gave consent to connect this service, to my surprise I recieved a message that its activated, and they were charging Rs 25 per day, Instead of calling then to revert my amout I called them to get me the settings so that I ll do a trial for a day but the useless guys overthere took almost 48 hours and half a dozen of calls to get me the settings and I was surprised with speed of the internet, I called them to immediately cancel and also informed them that this was not activated without my consent and ask them to look into this matter.

Its been more than a week now they still keep on charge Rs 25 randomly and when I call them the only irritating word I alway hear is " I am sorry sir but I want help you ... " well I am frustrated with calling them to cancel and revoke the amount which they are unnecesarily charging me.

Some one please guide me so that I can take up this cheating case to the authorities.

Can some senior person handle my case, activate my plan from 1st Oct, I will not pay for 25 days, after 1st Oct onwards . Also let me know is there any one time charge for changing the plan .

can person respond to my letter with some history of what I have been trying ?

IS there some body responsible who can call me & understand my problem, In case you cant do any thing stop my telephone service but I will not pay additional this is final & take you guys to court, I have very clearly mentioned I needed to change my plan as was told to me by your call centre then you people came up & said that there is no plan for 149 & there is only plan of T747 which I immediately agreed but you people are still playing Ping Pong with me .

I am not able to understand this why so much of carelessness by Idea ?, I will post all my communication to aditya Birla Group Chairman & ask Him why you people are behaving like this ?

Is it as per your corporate Governance or sheer negligence.

Would like to inform to everyone that Idea services are third class poor. There is no customer services. These use to keep customer on hold for hours with any reason and whenever they want the disconnected the line even.These people are madar chodd bhaan ke land request you everyone never go for idea post paid services even any services.
i stay in durg from past 6 yrs i m using idea sim ...previously i had prepaid connection...but 3 months back i was conyinuously calld up by d idea ppl for d activation of a new offer wer i wll be trasferd to a postpaid connection ...i was been said by them dat der wll no tax n i can get my prepaid connection wid my same old no. aftr 1 month if i wanted... i accepted d offer n my prepaid was converted to postpaid but den i was not satisfied but dey keep on convincing me to skick on dat...n now i wanted my prepaid connection back wid my same no. ...dis idea ppl in durg dey r delaying it without any reason..dis is creating inconviniece to me i submitted all d documents on 9th dec watever dey askd.n my prepais connection was about to start within 24hrs n now till date wenever i m goin to idea offc i m been asked to wait for another day.i been a brand loyal to idea but dis kind of response frm ur ppl is not expected.i request u to see to it.

hi this is kunal i have problem with gprs of idea i have talked many time with executive to deactivate my gprs 20 plan but they didnt deactivate it so fare and 20 rupees are getting detected from my prepaid account
i want to deactivate this service and want to get my fund back

    i have idea's card. last month i.e. in the month of may i had recharged with rs.89/- sms voucher. after that in the next month they have charged me a 89/- more and renew my sms pack without my permission and without informing.now my balance is in nagative. and they r saying that this is auto renewal system. please take some action against them.

    Idea Cellular — DOING WITHOUT PERMISSION

    My name is Sachin Kumar & My number is [protected] . I have to closed my 2 & half year nuber due to poor service of Idea. I said to idea to close my connection & refund my security on 11 th may but on 10th june i visited to Idea showroom where is security as it is not adjusted in my bill. Then what they did they applied for my security on their own on the same day without even telling me. then i talk to their customer care executive he said that u have applied for your security today, When i visit their showroom in the evening that why you applied on today then they said u came & shouting on us thats why we applied for your security. Then again I said that why you applied while i never gave any instruction to you then what did? They cancelled my request of security.
    what is goin on in idea
    They can do anything they want my request to all the consumer kindly check their bills while paying them as i never do

      i am very sorry to write this, but cnt help it, ..it has come to situation where i cannot MAKE A CALL FROM 6PM TILL 10 and other peak times..no way one can make a call to any number..this is very poor service frm u.everytime its shown network busy.
      then another one is TERRIBLY POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT CENTER.for calling a customer service executive, one has to wait for a long time.. u have to go through all the automated announcements for atleast 3 mins which is very irritating and we dont have time for tht also..
      then about knowing freebies by sending sms...
      we ll get an instant sms saying your request will be processed shortly.. after tht no reply from u..this is actually cheating cusomers.. idea is very keen in giving connections by ads, but you are not providing anything for the growing network which leads the existing customers into trouble..

[protected] this person is messeaging me on my no. and i have told him or her that kindly don't message me my sending him or her sms the but still the person is not listing after that i have made him several calls but the person have not receive my calls and switch Off his or her mobile. So i request you to kindly take necessary action or i have to take serious step against this number [protected].

      Idea has very bad service. I had a very bad experience with them when i change my post paid connnection to pre paid connection. Even though i provided all the documents asked by there service center and cleared all outstanding balance they have barred my serivce. No out going & incomming. Still as of now they haven;t restored my conncetion . I wrote their customer service also but no response till date. Bull sheet service by this idea cellular.

      The most poor "mobile phone customer care service" in kerala is Idea Care.

      I got an offer sms from Idea last 29th (29/04/2009) showing Rs 62 idea to idea calls are free with a validity of 10 days with Rs 100 flexi recharge. and the idea to idea calls will be credited in 48 Hrs..

      I made the Rs 100 Flexi recharge in the same day...I didn't get the offer even after 60 Hrs...

      I registered a complaint on 1st May 2009, They told the problem ill be solved in 48 Hrs
      They didn't take any action
      I called The Idea Care on 3rd May 2009, Complaint is renewed...
      again called on 6th May 2009... as usual complaint is renewd, and informed me that it will be solved before 11th May 10am
      ...
      And still they are extending the time from 11th May to 12th, from 12th to 13th...

      Finally I take a dicision that ------ I'll never recharge for an Idea offer again...

      Idea Cellular — unsatisfactory service & reply

      I had changed my VODAFONE number [protected] to IDEA and got activated on 7 th Feb 2011. For the first 4/5 days i was not able to get balance on my mobile. But on 12.02.2011 i noticed the balance reduced to Rs 2.00 .On the same day I contacted IDEA Copliant number 198 and tried to lodge the complaint. But the man attended said he will not register any complant and I may cll 12345 ,
      I told him that this number 12345 is not toll free and charges will be deducted from my account. He repeateadlly told me to dial 12345.
      In this way I am not at all satsfied about the services of IDEA .When I demanded perticulars of my call for which charges are deducted he did not gave me any perticulars.The call deatils are call made on 12.02.2011 at 02.22 pm and ended for 00.09.01 .

        Idea has provided a helpline number [protected] for its postpaid users in Maharashtra.
        On May 29, 2008, I tried to call this number several times during the day, but this number used to get connected to their pre-paid department instead of post-paid. The executives at the pre-paid department are not ready to route the call to postpaid, nor are they ready to register a complain or greivance for this problem. They simple disconnect the call, or tell us to dial again and again.

        I filled the form for getting myself converted from prepaid to post paid on 25th Dec, 2008, made the payment by cheque which was cleared on 27th Dec, 2008, but still the connection has not been converted, though i was assured that as soon as your verification is done and cheque is cleared your connection will be activated.         I have a complaint against ITBL TELECOM PVT.LTD. I have purchased my idea postpaid addon no. from your DSA ITBL TELECOM PVT.LTD.
        on behalf of my previous no.[protected].
        On 20th october/09 i recieved a call from ITBL, they are offering me the add-on connection with the offers like free travel package, free voilet etc.
        which i regretted because i already have the two connection. but after that they promise me to give the good mobile number. from the pool of numbers i have selected[protected], which is good at such a promising cost .so, i blocked the number.
        After that there executive abhimanyu came to my house at appointed time to complete the formallities, and at that time also before giving the money, i rechecked my number which is blocked for me. so he (abhimanyu) again called the concerned senior to confirm me the number. so he says yes you will get the same number.

        Now, it's 26th october/09 and my number is not activated till date. after a no. of calls, now they are saying that this number is on waiting, some body says that this is a gold number,
        somebody says your request is on processing stage.
        I also made complaint at ILBL with complaint no[protected] to rajiv) and[protected] to kusum) but have'nt recieved single call back.

        Now the issue is that i gave the amount of Rs : 250 on the basis that iwill get the desired number but now they are harassing me by saying that the number will not be the same.
        They have charged Rs 250 and on sixth day, no service is being paid . They give false promises to have customer in there net and after recieving the amount they tell the reality behind.

        please take the strict action against this false company otherwise i will go to consumer court.

        Hi,

        This is Naresh, I have post paid connection (Cell No. [protected]) I am using this number from last 10 years. I got heavy bill and it is showing 3g data usage which was not used by me. It is showing data usage of more than 700MB in a span of 27 Minutes. One time it is showing 256MB in 7 Seconds. bill dated 14th Aug 2014.
        When I try to raise a complaint to [protected]@idea.adityabirla.com and made number of call to call center no response from either side.
        Idea customer care service is worst, no one take responsibility to clarify the issue.

          I bought an Idea prepaid number [protected] three weeks ago. The number was working fine till last week. Since last week I am unable to make any calls nor can I receive any incoming calls. I get the message 'Services to this number are temporarily on hold' . The customer care keeps me waiting everytime I call them without giving me any useful information. It is very frustrating . After buying the card and adding a top-up card for lifetime incoming free, it is of no use. And the worst is I don't know why it is so. I had Rs 20 as balance in my Idea Chit chat account. Without using it ever, it is now reduced to 12p. I really don't know, how and why money gets reduced from a prepaid account. Could the Idea customer service wake up and tell me a good reason ?

          Sir,
          This is my direct complaint to the IDEA CELLULAR.
          I am surrering from the many problems from this company from the time I'd taken this SIM no.[protected]..
          But I avoided lets leave aside, but then they keep on holding my outgoing services that too for no cause..& they have no answer for this,everytime they said submit one more copy of documents.

              Dear sir,

              I would like to tell you the exact situation that what exactly happened and under what circumstances.

              I spoke with one of your representative regarding taking up an idea connection, (rep name Ashwani mob no: [protected])
              Some of the connection which was taken up by us was only for the purpose of getting GPRS activated on the handsets.Since then I have been chasing up with idea customer service to get the GPRS connection activated speaking with one of the floor support officers in idea I gave a call to ashwani from whome we took up with those connection and he assured that it will be done, sine I had lost faith on him I requested to speak with his team leader Anil (mob no:[protected]) and he said the same thing that don’t worry sir I will make sure that within 24 hrs yor GPRS connection gets activated, on top of it I received a call from Anil(T.L) On 1st may 2008 stating that we have forwarded some exceptions regarding GPRS activation and your name is in it, however if there is no approval for the same in that case I will provide you new idea connection with GPRS !!!...
              we asked how is it possible he replied that idea connection is being provided to MARUTI UDHYOG employees I just require your license photo copy and leave rest to me, I was shocked with the answer and understood that whome I am dealing with since then I stopped speaking with AnilAshwani .
              I came to know about Rahul (mob no:[protected]) and till 7th may 2008 I escalated the case to him and on the last day I got a response from him that I am being transferred to other dept and your case has been looked up by Amit(mob no:[protected]).
              i spoked with flooor support officer named preeti and more of them earlier she told me that we have rec the fax and we will get back to you tomorrom by 10:30 am no one called up again I had to chase up with amits no (mob no:[protected]) and after that I have been chasing up with amit to get GPRS activated .
              Since then he has been following it up for me.
              Talking about Amit he has been reasonable and to the point I personally don’t know about his designation but do know that if he would have been granted authority he would have rectified the issue in first conversation, his willingness and commitment does show
              "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

              At the end I would like to say that it has been far long a worse experience of my life with idea at least if we cannot change it we should try to improve it for mere future as it’s a perception based industry .
              “The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them."

              mean while i had a word with Amit and Amit told him that the gprs is being activated till 5PM a false commitment and it didn’t got activated basically false commitment recorded by me and can be presented in court of law in case or further escalation .
              We have got 27 recorded conversations with idea till now in which you will find many false commitments being made to up this is utmost nonsense and needs to be addressed at priority basis.

              I will like to ask, isn’t a million dollar organization capable enough to fulfill their commitment?????...
              "Sometimes it is not enough to do our best; we must do what is required."
              pls do something about it as it involves many connections sold on false comittment
              as if for now recently i have rec call from one of the manager that we can provide you unlimited gprs for 250 rs not ess than that however i want to get waht is written on the pamplet which was provided to me and i simply request the concerned authorities to fulfill what they have comitted

                I just can't get enough words to describe the pathetic service that idea provides. how does one capture their outburst in written, but yes idea users have no other option as there is no customer care no. for idea (i mean where a cust. care executive listens to you), they just have recorded messages that will make you kill youselves.

                now, why did I want to speak to cust. care, i (being a stupid) took the stupid connection of idea for myself (was told that STD rates are Rs.1.30/min), some SMS had to be sent to activate the new std rates, did that. i was sent a message saying, the rates would be active in 48 hours, it has been precisely 120 hours since the sms was sent, but the facility never got activated, i sent the msg again, got the reply again, but after that msg one more set of 48 hrs have passed, still m being charged Rs. 2.75/min for STD calls. that's really pathetic.

                these days when customers are given the best treatment by other service providers, idea has such poor service, this is unbelievable.

                i feel like being trapped coz i have taken two recharges on this pathetic sim card, i feel like throwing it away, but can’t...

                one more thing, if you want to make calls, there is one main criteria, i.e. network, but here also idea chooses to be the worst, u just won’t get the network, even i[censored] r standing under open sky..unbelieveable isn't it...

                that's ‘!dea’ for you...birla's idea to make you a fool...

                  Prepaid connection — receiving phone calls of songs

                  Idea Prepaid — Deactivating phone calls for commercial ads

                  About 15 days ago i filed a request at IDEA through customer care executive on phone for deactivating the advertise massages & phone calls from idea. They give me a communication ID[protected] & say it will be deactivate in few time.
                  But it is not deactivated till now & also getting at least 5 calls a day just for advertisement even in late night.
                  When i again contact them with my communication id through message service they say your Communication id is not valid.
                  And these adds are now also disturbing me.

                  In spite of my cell registered in DNC, I get calls from Idea. I intend to sue them. I got call from [protected].

                  i) I am getting unsolicited calls 20 per day ...There are unwanted messages, caller tunes.

                  Why do you chose to make the life of your customers hell like.

                  Calls have to be attended even when I am driving, thinking it may be some emergency call. You pick up the call and listen... 'Come on... bla bla bla'... Then songs...

                  This kind of activity may be stopped immediately.

                  Even I have tried Customer Care centre number of times, no help. I have requested for putting DND notice. God knows when I will get relieved of this kind of nuisance.

                  I sometimes feel throwing up the cell phone. Do you like such irritations from your customer.

                  It is against the profile of adityabirla group.

                  Too Much calls from IDEA and it is disturbing, first the ratio of the calls was 5-10 and the day i have activated for DND services the ratio of calls have almost doubled

                  I am getting Freqent SMS from Idea cellular for varius servises like Dialer tone, download Music. and also pre recordes calls.
                  I have called to Customer care executive to stop this unwanted SMS & calls. He replied it will get 45 days to stop the service.
                  it is rediculous that this much days are required to stop the services.

                  I am having Pre-paid Idea Cell Phone No. [protected] at Delhi. I am much surprised that the IDEA Cellular Ltd. has been duducting Rs. 30.00 (Rupees thirty only) per month for IZ - 55456 Shahnaz Hussain Hair Care Tips without my concent or agreement. The Companies Help Lines 4444, [protected] do not have any option to stop such unwarranted and fraudulent deductions from the account / subscription / recharge money of the customer. Such a practice of the Company may plese be stopped and the amount, so deducted be credited my account.

                  This must be done within 15 (Fifteen) days failing which I shall be contraint to take appropriate action at the Risk and Cost of the Company (IDEA Cellular Ltd.)
                  Dear Sir,

                  I have been losing Rs 25/- every day since 24th nov 09 till date. I requst to deactivate Rs25/-GPRS Plan An activate Rs 5/- GPRS Plan.
                  Since 24th of November 09 without my approval Rs 25/- per day GPRS plan has been activated to my cell no [protected].I made a complaint on customer care on 25th nov 09 to deactivate the Rs 25/- GPRS plan and on the customer care suggestion had asked to activate for Rs 5/- GPRS plan.I was assured with in six hours things will be done but on 25th it was not done.
                  On 26th morning I spoke to Mr. Fayaj shaikh who also assured me to get it done by 4 to 5 hours but still it was not carried out.
                  On 27th I spoke to Mr Sujit & Madam Mamata who again assured me to get it done by one hour or so this was at around 11am. Same eveing at around 4pm when I checked back with customer care I found nothing was done. I asked for Madam Mamata who did not come on line.I asked for some senior person I was kept on hold for 15 minutes.
                  Pl let me know is this the way to harass your customer for no fault. Pl treat this as final request as I have no alternate but to go to the Higher authorities.

                  i got new prepaid connection [[protected]] from idea on 31.12.2009 but after some days the, the service to this number was stopped by idea. after inquiry i came to know the require documents not submitted to the idea so i got dis-connect. and i have to resubmit the documents. here i have to state that if the documents not submitted by me then how can idea issue new connection ? if i got connection then it means that the documents already submitted. then how can idea stop service to my connection. if i submit the documents then its responsibility of idea co and their dealers. if not then how can they issue new connection to the customer? in this circumstance the card holder [customer] can miss-use of the connection. i wish to state due to disconnection i could not get in touch with my office, friends and relatives and still very much suffering. therefore idea co is requested to start service to [protected] immediately.

                  I am Lokesh from Goa. I am using idea sim card for last 7 years & I was very satisfied with the service & therefore I brought another sim card of idea last year. I am very happy with the Idea, its service, network, etc..

                  This is not a complaint but I have a "question & suggestion" for idea
                  My question for idea is that "Idea is showing ads o[censored]se mobile & save paper..Then why did idea haven't brought any sms scheme..?"
                  I don't say that there are not schemes..there are but they are quite expensive & we even get less Sms in that. We are youth & we are more interested in messaging. Where as other service provider are already providing bulk sms schemes Or cheaper rates..
                  I want to suggest to idea to provide a bulk sms scheme of around[protected] sms, fix a rate in between Rs 35-40 & provide validity of 30 days in Goa.. I think that it will be okey with idea & as well as idea users. I may even assure you that there will be huge response for that.. & all idea users are already happy & will be more happy with this.. specially youth like me who loves to send messages.

                  I have an Idea pre-paid mobile phone. But I continue getting unwanted calls for promotion of many services. I am fed up with this. I plan to switch over to other service provider.
                  too much calls from tata callcenter 7 other call centers for the schemes and caller tunes coming in my no.so please bared these unnecessary calls.

                  Daily atleast 3-4 times I am getting calls from [protected]./ [protected] / 554 / 523/[protected]. Many times I have sent SMS mentioning DND (Don't disturb me). I am 68 years old, sick and handicapped person.                     Dear Sir,
                    I had recharge a value voucher of Rs. 97 (for STD terrif Rs- 1/min) on 18th of April 2008. so that any STD calls rate get Rs 1/ min for the next one month, but somehow my plan was being changed from the operator side without my confirmation. and then onwards my STD call rate changed as normal calls (i. e. Rs- 2.65/min). when i realised and investigated that is happen, I made many calls to customer care of Idea and complained the same, but still its not been resolved. they are saying that we had a call you for changing your current service of STD rate Rs- 1 /min to STD rate Rs 2.65 with validity of six month and low rate for SMS and local calls, and took your confirmation to change that. therefore we did the same.
                    I'm very sure I did not relpy any confirmation as they are saying.

                    As of now I requested them to revert back my plan, they did and added Rs- 250 in my account as it was deducted from account for converting to another plan,
                    But they are not confirming to refund the amount was charged Rs 2.65/Min for the STD as initially was Rs- 1/min.
                    I mean to say that I wanted to get back Rs 1.56/min call for each and every STD calls being made at the rate of Rs- 2.65/min.

                      Idea customer care executives are harassing me for last two months..I requested them to deactivate power58 and they assured me that it will be deactivated within 24 hrs but 200 hrs hav passed and no result has come yet..these guys seem to hav decided that they will never help the customers anymopre...i hav switched to lifelong validity three months back...a person from idea called me and told me that the company is activating automatic power voucher with a daily deduction of rs 2 but afterwards another message came and it informed that the deduction is changed to rs 3 per day..when i asked them to deactivate they refuse..i donot hav any other way so i am moving to consumer forum to resolve the issue...my mobile no is [protected] .
                      let them feel a little more good...i equest others to do the same ..especially for 4141 service...haan ek baat aur..these guys have activated dialertone on my mobile and deducting 12rs dail for that..i am going to take this compensation also..hope all the readers agree with me.Almost 1000rs from my balance have been deducted this way.

                      I Mohammad Naved Khan, resident of Kanpur had purchased a "MY GANG" series card few months ago, of No. [protected] with 1 year validity & its expiry date is on 18/08/08.The same I had not used for more than 3 mnoths till expiry date.during grace period I had recharged with a plan of Rs 180 on 26/09/08 in which I got 1 year validty and exemption form daily charge of Re 1 deduction.After two weeks it shows "Sim Card Registration Failed".Then I contact my nearest IDEA showroom they told me if you don't use the sim for more than 3 months, your sim card registraion will be failed by the Company.But when I call at Customer Care and talked with the Executive Mr.Keshaw form Maharan Pratap Marg and Mr. Pawan and alwo with their senior Mr. Deepak Sen & Mr. Madhur they told me their is no such condition in MY GANG series as mentioned above.So I request you to please help me to issue me a duplicate Sim with same number & scheme. I'm waiting for your reply.

                      i agree with you..but i faced a bigger problem as compared to you..you must be getting 20-30 msgs daily from Idea. lol i got 120 msgs within 3 hours few days back..that 2 between 9:00 p.m to 11:30 p.m...and after the conversation with one Mr. Akhilesh(Supervisor) in customer care, delhi, i got comfirmation that it is a temporary problem and i wont get more msgs if i switch off my cell for 15 minutes..but when i checked in mrng arnd 7:00a.m, there were 45 unread msgs in the inbox..IDEA dont have any idea of our problems

                      i have lost my nokia moble and sim card of idea prepaid.I have lodged complaint with local police.But the behaviour of the idea staff(district office) was very rude.I told the situation to them that the person who got my mobil is not yer removed the sim and he is having the same sim card and no.so i contacted the idea staff to provide me with the call details so that i can follow the stolen person easily.But the atitude of the staff is very bad, They are not providing me any details...Based on Information act can i proceed legally or is there any hope in approaching the consumer redressal forum.

                        What are festival Days?? Indian Government and TRAI has not issued Calender for festival days for Mobile users! But operators have changed tarriffs on festival days according to thier benefits . This is cheating, Operators should send calender to thier customers in advance of festival days. Government authorities should keep close eyes on private players!

                            Dear Sir/Madam,

                            I own an idea connection which was on the name of Mr. Ankur Vishnoi bearing no. [protected] from last about 2 years. Earlier it was Postpaid Connection now I have given a request to migrate the same in Prepaid at Idea Showroom Sec-14 Gurgaon. They committed me the same will be activated in next 24 hours and even I had paid the entire bill but now i has been more than 60 hrs has passed but the sim is still inactive. Due to this I am facing lots of problems. Then I spoke to some customer care executive of prepaid division and I am shocked to hear that they have not received any request from neither from postpaid division nor from Idea Showroom. After that I spoke to some Nodal Officer who sits in Delhi Head Office the she told me some bill is pending from your side. I really dont understand why the showroom people have not taken the whole amount from me after informing them I want to clear my entire amount. Now I have made the oustanding payment around 18 hrs back. Even now also I am not aware when will it be activted. I dont understand why these people are not taking it in seriously. It gives the bad impression to the customer and affects the brand image of company. Infact I should say Idea gave the worst service.

                            I am having 2 connections of Dish TV. One parent and second child connection. I have problem regarding signal problem. I called Customer care so many times. First, from my office they said we dont entertain complaints if you are not in front of your TV set. I said ok, then called from my residence even told them signal strenght and quality so many times. Even total channels which are available in my package is 185 but we are able to view only 151 channels. Not getting what we are paying for... Problem is also not this. What we are having is our STar Plus, Zee TV and other popular channel's signal flew away after 8pm and we cant veiw any of these channels. These channels suddenly disappear coz of poor quality signal and screen breaks or cut.
                            I must say Very Bad service. Just imagine, what impression is it creating on us and in its ad they very boldly says that "Kya aap cable se santusht hai, vo kharab signal" i must say yes we were santusht atleast agar kharab hota hai then if we file a complaint they assist that ASAP. But their service i must say worst of the worst.
                            Every product is rated with the kind of service (AFTER SALE SERVICE) they provide to their customer. coz every one buys only that product which provides them not good but better service. but in case of Dish its not bad its worst.

I dont know y they are posting these guys wthout proper training or guys who dont update the informations. Most cases u can hear the same answer that they are helpless

                            I am a postpaid customer of IDEA Maharashtra - Pune circle.

                            My Outgoing is barred because i made less payment. I wrote mails to Customer care in this regard but no reply so far.


                            After making numerous calls to 12345 & waiting on hold for half an hour several times, these people are not able to understand the real problem & not ready to activate my outgoing calls.

                            I requested for disconnecting my Add-on connection on July 1, 2008 & till date (Oct 07, 2008) the number is not yet de-activated & although its not in use, I'm being continuosly charged for same. I made the full payment for my last month's bill without noticing that there was a charge on account of my add-on connection. This month when i checked the bill & found that i have been charged again & again.


                            Please anybody help. Can anybody let me know the details of any newspaper wherein i can send my details & hope of being heard.

                            Vodafone & Idea Cellular — Changes in Recharge Values without any notification

                            On[protected] all the prepaid comanies including above withdraw their schemes without any notification.

                            Airtel, Vodafone & Idea made major changes in their coupans value making little losses to each customer & huge profit to themselves. Although Airtel Updated his website about it but Vodafone & Idea websites were updated about this after 5 to 10 days of changes.

                            After penetrating the market with Considerable call rates for making maximum customer & pursuing Consumer to buy their product, now companies are jointly making a monopoly & raised their call rate (offers call rate not the base 1) by 4 times.

                            These actions are something legel in nature but totaly against consumer interest. They are taking away benefits of competancy & after affecting the behavior of consumer & making their excessive habbit o[censored]sing phone by charging like that is like indirectly robbing them.

                            Most of them also removed special plans for students so making maximum profits.

                            BONUS 149 -> 1000 minutes reduce to 333
                            BONUS 51 -> all local calls @ 50 paisa now limits to @50p to vodafone only
                            Bonus 124 -> all local calls @ 50p n all vodafone @ 10p scheme removed
                            Bonus 75-> all vodafone to vodafone @ 50p n std @ rs1 but local calls incresed to rs 60p from 50p.

                            Rs 201 & Rs 149 -> free minutes reduced from 1500 & 1000 to 500 & 375
                            Rs 51 -> idea to idea @ 50p & to other @60p (10p increase)

It is known to me that after my recharge for Rs. 125/- on 27.12.2008 at 8 pm the amount of Rs. 100/- has been deducted from account and I enquired this matter to local service provider of IDEA. They informed that the said amount of Rs. 100/- has been deducted toward GPRS charges. Though I did not applied for the same facility.

                            You are requested to stop this GPRS charges in future and this service will not be provided to me as the same is not essential for me. You are also requested to credit Rs. 100/- in my account immediately as this facility not asked.

I recharged as per the message but the expairy date is still on 15th may 2009, it is showing. I contacted the nearest customer care center here at Thalassery, Kannur they told me that the message is not for gang customers . It is very painful to me sir, as I am not an employed one to bear this financial burden.                             I'm a regular customer of Idea mobile service from last three years at Delhi. I had opted to continue my service after two years of postpaid service (defence plan) on expiry of the service of my mobile number [protected]. A representative of Idea called me to offer new plan with same number which I was using and i agreed for the same. He came to me with new SIM and told the number will remain same but on new sim as its Mega Hrtz will be good and charges Rs 250/- from me and after a week call came to note my new number. I disagreed and went to Idea care Vasant Kunj from there i came to know he (Shaiv BPO services) has cheated me and at the same time i lodged a complaint with them. They told amount will be re embursed by cheque to my address. From June 2009 I was trying the same also complaint at Idea care Connaught Place in Dec 09 again for atleast to adjust the amount in my Postpaid bill but all of no use. Idea has not opened the eyes till now in my case for this three years old customer. I request you to please look into the matter and do the needfull as early as possible. Any way I had decided not to pay the bill for postpaid service till it is cleared.

                            I Rajesh Nayan purchased two IDEA NET SETTER from your sales executive ABDUL
                            Mobile no – [protected] one was purchased on 13.08.10 and second one was purchased on 17.08.10 after cash payment of Rs. 1500/- each and assured him to referred my five advocate colleagues for this. One of the prepaid Net Setter I am using and another one which I was purchased for my brother in law on 17.08.10, because on 13TH Aug the modem was not available with him. Second one Net Setter No. he has given[protected] and SIM no.[protected]. We have got good faith in him. On either 13-14.09.10 when we made a call to him that net setter is not working he replied to come to you next day. Next day he came and taken away the net setter with him. Stating that its recharged is over. Since you have not used one month free unlimited browsing and downloading I will recharge from myself. From 13-14.09.10 he is misguiding us . Sometime he said that I am busy with my clients and sometime he told that idea server is not working that why your recharge has not done.
                            On 22.09.10 when I contact him he told that I am coming to Saket Distt. Court to meet at 2 pm at 2pm he again rang me that I am busy with my client and will come to you at 4 pm. When I try to contact him he did not picked up his mobile. I contact him from another mobile he replied so roughly which neither I can write nor I can Say.
                            He is keeping my net setter with him and harassing and torturing us and using abusive languages. I also assured him to referred him to my colleagues for the same, but he did not take care
                            I would like to state that to look after this matter on urgent basis and short out as soon as possible.

                            1)I subhash using idea number([protected]) from last 3 years,on 2 november 2011 without any notice or information my number is deactivated.
                            2) on 2 nov.2011 i visited idea customer care off. santosh ent. jodhpur and talked to Mr. rakesh and sangram singh,both of them after taiking with thier senior officers committed that my no. is activated within 24 hrs.both of them, their officer and customer care officer do not tell me the reason for deactivation of my number.
                            3)on 3 nov. again i visited idea off.Mr. sangram singh told me to submit my documents and given a duplicate sim(costing 25 rupees only) and committed to activate my no. with my balance and other schemes activated same as on 1 nov.2011 on my connection([protected]) wihtin 24 hrs.
                            4)again i visited on 4th,5th nov.2011 but my connection is not activated

                              I am a student studying in Pune.During my vacations I visited Lucknow.My simcard validity will expire on 10th May.That is why I contacted Lko customercare on 4th may to about the recharge options who advised me to visit the site & than get it recharged from lko after which i will get both balance & validity extended.The very next day i got a message from Idea about the latest racharge of Rs 195 with TT25 & lifelong validity.So i went to the nearby distributor shop & got my recharge done successfully with a message of conformation.But when i checked my balance it showed Rs 10 increment in balance & Validity till June3.At that moment I called Pune c.c. but they refused to seek any notice.Than i visited idea branch office where they asked me to wait for 48 hrs.But after that also nothing happened & regularly i was getting messages that my sim validity will expire on 10th May.Today(7th may) i called up Pune c.c. & after wasting my time for 20 mins they put me on hold after which line got disconnected.As i was on roaming i lost my avail balance too without any solution..

                                i am using my gang card. which is not sending the local sms from 18th april, i could loged 2 complaints on costomer care and local office but till now it is not solved.
                                I have purchase a my gang sim on december but i dont get the service of my gang...
                                i complain in ur customer care they say that the my gang plan is change into normal plan but ur new olan says that is active till today..

                                  I have been facing problem regarding the extremely poor network of Idea Cellular Ltd. in the area of Green Park, New Delhi-110016.
                                  I am facing this problem from Jan, 2008 till now nothing has been done to solve it.

                                  I have registerd complaint a number of times on the toll free no. 12345, but i am getting certain excuses from the idea executive that my building is faulty and nothing can de done for that. I was shocked to hear that my house has a fault which has started from Jan, 2008 & i am not able to get the network, despite the fact that all other network of Airtel & Vodaphone are perfectly fine.

                                  Then i again got a feedback that the tower in my area has some problem and will be sort it out soon.

                                  Then i got call from the network department & they told me that they some legal problem going out with the owner of the land where the tower is plotted & has no time frame for that when the problem can be sort it out.

                                  Its still hard to believe that being such a big corporate company Idea Cellular Ltd. cannot solve the major problem of its network.

                                  It seems like its better to change the company and use some other which has a better network and A BETTER CUSTOMER CARE DEPARTMENT.

                                  i have lost my cell last night, so plz cutt my no. to avoid misuse.

                                  Till yesterday I used to admire idea's service.But today I suffered an utterly nonsensical stuff from an idea employee. Somebody called me from idea today morning {from this no [protected] new delhi} and said my no has been selected for post paid connection.I refused to take the offer.Few hours later I found my outgoing call is blocked.That thug has blocked my outgoing call, simply because i didnt accept to take post paid connection. I am really frustrated how can Idea nurture such an unprofessional and irresponsible person.I am considering to take some serious action.Hope that Idea address my grievance.Please throw that nonsense out.

                                  I sent a 15-day notice regarding Idea's ‘Fraudulent Charges and Consequent Cancellation of Connection’ to Idea via email, attention: Ms. Nidhi Sagar, Nodal Officer at grievance.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com, on Jan. 23, 2010 with a copy to Mr. Sanjay Suri via email at appellate.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com. However, I have not received a point by point reply to the specific questions even till today. Instead, I have received subsequent bills with same fraudulent billing repeated. This is apparent from their response or a lack thereof that they are not interested in resolving the problem of their error of fraudulent charges, unauthorized charges and non-transparent billing amounting to deficiency in service on their part along with other criminal offences related to defrauding a consumer by unfair practices, harassing the consumer by repeatedly sending the fraudulent billing again and again and causing undue mental tension and depression as a result of Idae's actions.
                                  Please someone tell me how to proceed against Idea Cellular for their consumer fraud, inflated billing, fraudulent billing, unauthorised billing, billing for Telehpony that was not disclosed at the time of offering their service. What's your take on such issues against Idea!

                                    I am a customer of IDEA prepaid -[protected] since 5 years and have paid for lifetime rental. Since I was out of country so the payment of 270/ rs was not made and now when I am requesting(called the customer care 4 times to get the response) the company to activate the number subject to making the payment, its been told that I cannot get the same plan/connection.
                                    The credit limit says 1000 rs on the account, its really frustrating to understand even after paying life time rental why the plan/connection cannot be activated. (Persons contacted from IDEA - Mr Kunal - Ms Bhumika)

                                    I have taken 7 connections on my companys name M/S BMD MILK & MILK PRODUCTS, INDORE(MP) and payment is being regurarly done as we receive the bills at registered office, whereas this is 3 rd time that IDEA CELLUAR company without sending the bills are DEACTIVATING THE CONNECTIONS 7 ARE SENDING MESSAGE THAT THE NUMBERS ARE DEACTIVATED for Non payment of bills.
                                    I had informed the Assistant sales manager of Idea Cellular Mr.Arshit Khanna on his mobile number [protected] about the same and after his efforts the numbers were activated but Again I received the message that my number [protected] has been Deactivated, I received the message on 05/09/2011 at 08:03:33 AM stating that bill ammount has execeeded Credit limit and the amount of rs 901.63 has to be paid. Whereas I would like to inform you that The Credit limit is rs 1, 000/- and without intimating me the number was Deactivated whereas Idea has NO RIGHT TO DEACTIVATE without informing or sending the bill for payment and I am consulting my Lawyer for legal notice to company because I am not able to make the outgoing calls and I suffered the loss as I am trading in Raw material We are having a DAIRY PLANT and I was not able to call my customers for their Requirements as we sell MILK/CURD/PANEER/GHEE/CREAM/BUTTER ETC. I would like to know can the IDEA CELLULAR officials DEACTIVATE without notice ( SMS or Withour calling the concerned person to clear the Dues) as this shall harm the reputation of the company as well as of the person using the number.                                       Dear Sir/Madam

                                      I am Sandeep, a idea user. Last 22nd April at 6 pm, I got a call from idea ccare (Having [protected] no.) and the CCE told that my validity will expire on 24th of may 2008 and if I will recharge by Rs.290 at that day(22nd April 2008) then I will get 2 year validity, Rs.50 talk value, Rs.250 ITI talk value, 0.50
                                      Rs./call for 4 months at local numbers and my Icard services also will continue. He told that these

                                      facilities will update within 24 hours.

                                      So I recharged by Rs.290 that evening and I got Rs.50 talk value. But I didn't get other things after 48

                                      hours then I called at idea ccare and I told my problem to them but they told that I didn't get any call

                                      from ccare and they couldn't register my complaint. For this I called 5 times to idea ccare and 4 times

                                      they cut the call while i was putting on hold by them.

                                      I again got a call from the same number on 26th of April at 12:13 pm. and the person's name was

                                      Abhijeet. He again told for Rs.99 recharge, but when I told about Rs.290 recharge he cut the phone, and

                                      because it's a one way number I cant call on it.

                                      So please tell me where I have to go for that, because I want all services which were told to me or I

                                      want my money back. Because idea Customer care is not helping me, so I bound to write you my problem.

                                      today I have Done a TOP UP recharge for my Idea thru netbanking for Rs 103, At the same time After the money debited from my account I got a message that my mobile has been sucessfully rechrged with a talk value of Rs 74 but I got surprised That Instead of getting 93 Rs talk value i got only 74 that is a wrong value for the Rs & my earlier balance
                                      lapsed immediately after The recharge That was 79 Rs Just Five minutes before the recharge when I called the customer care officers today morning, then I was told by the customer care officer that neither The previous balance will be updated back nor the money would be given to me back now the situation is want my money back.                                         i have two idea Gang card. idea has declare for this card that upto first 500 minutes from gang to other gang number will cost Rs. 0.10 /minute but now i used only 10-15 minutes only but they are deducting per minutes 1.20 Rs. on both the number . i have try to call from both number to one another but always deducted the amount Rs. 1.20 per minute . i talked with customer care more than 4-5 times but they told me that amount will refund in my account and that was technical problem but till now amount is deducting Rs. 1.20 per minute. please take necessary action for the same.
