Respected Sir, April 13th, 2008.

This is M. B. Panchal., I am using Idea’s Mobile No: [protected] since 1995. Now it is very sorry to say that I facing same
problems since last few years from your customer services departments, like last month I had cancelled voice mail service and also informed that stop to cut Rs.15/- from my balance
Amount. But this month also they ( your IDEA Cellular ltd.) cut the same Rs.15/-
So again I registered my the same thing and it’s communication ID 53554414.
When I conforming that again then I got so-much rudely and too-much arguments, And she had asked so-many questions like she was taking my interview. Due to these problems I get fade-up with your service.

Secondly, I also send one SMS for Do Not Disturbed ( DND ) no 1909 stop unwanted messages. I did this yesterday i.e. 12/04/2008.

But, now mark this point since I cancelled the Voice mail services from that time
I got and getting so-many calls from [protected], [protected]. And see the frequency of calling on my mobile number. It is clearly seems that they are harassing
Me to listen the voice message. Today since morning I had received minimum 15 calls from your IDEA Cellular ltd. You can see it from your computer where it was dialed and how many times.

Then you tell me how far it is justified that your IDEA Cellular ltd is not harassing me, and I can prove that your IDEA Cellular ltd is harassing me.

So has to do same thing if you will not take any action on this matter.

I am requesting to you don’t force to take action from my side. If it may happened that I have to go with the “MIDIA” or
“Telephone Revenue Regulating authority” and News papers
To justification.

I am waiting for your reply.

yes, customer care service of Idea is so bad. i am a student of M.C.A and during study i feel so much disturbance by unwanted calls
and messages by idea customer service department. i am trying to talk with customer care executive since ten days but reply is they are busy . even i tried at 1 a.m, again i got the same message.
so Idea should improve their customer service departments

I am an ordinary Indian Ashish bhargava from Bhopal and badly puzzled by my mobile company and seriously don’t know where to complaint and against whom?
I am a reliance GSM SMART customer since 2005. since last six months I am facing a lot of troubles listed below, without any support from SMART customer care.
• Most of time server is down and you are unable to recharge, call and use services like internet etc.
• I have recharged with Rs. 303/- for 30 days surfing but got only 20 days service due to server failure in month Oct 2008.
• One day, on seeing an free talk time on sprite coin I messaged the code to the given no I didn’t got anything except my bal became Rs. -10/- which was positive in Rs 36/- before SMS.
• I set a caller tune, which was automatically changed and told a server updation fault to me. I removed the tune at Nov 8th 2008.
• After the Nov 15th 2008 I noticed that my balance is being reduced daily more than I used, but there was no clarification by smart customer care, as my caller tune was already deactivated. On Dec 6 2008 I was at Rs -120/- negative balance. I was told that my rediffmail message service is activated so you are loosing your balance, but this was free according to rediff “you are charged when you read or access the mail by using this service the message alert is free from rediff. So as I knew I stoped the service immediately but still I’m loosing my balance an I am at Rs. -126/-.
• Also in 2007, the life time validity of my mother smart sim expired and it could not became life time again. It happened all of sudden as I told due to server updation. God knows what king of servers they are using or who stupid is running the system. What kind of joke it is we are paying for that what we are promised to give but in fact we are not getting like this case I paid for life time prepaid which expired in a year.
• Is there any law for these cheaters.
Role of smart customer care-
1. The best thing is even the head office person are unable tell for what you are being charged when you inquire about your lost balance, what is the sense of maintaining a huge server architechture.
2. Whenever you wanna to know something eagerly and urgently, most of times server is down and you see message on dialing “not available”.
3. if you get connected then they will ask your name and no. and then after initial investigation of your problem like, suddenly if you are unable to use internet service which was running fine earlier, you are said to being transferred to senior executive and you start waiting as much you can then in frustration when you disconnect and reconnect then again same procedure repeated. Thus the irritation is all you get no solution from customer care.
4. Touch points are wonderful places where the person is sitting only for the bill collection and selling you the post paid plans to prepaid customers by horrifying and misguiding customers on asking for your problem.
5. Like when I complained for unusual loss of my balance without my knowledge, then I was told “ sir we don’t keep track of call record for prepaid customers if you want to avoid such problem then take a post paid connection and you may go to head office (new market )for further details.
6. Any small problem may take days and weeks to get solved and very possible never.
Really I am really very frustrated and disappointed with the performance of these private network. Not only me, but thousands of customers are suffering from such problems but only problem is
• To whom it should told?
• Where to go for complaint?
• To whom against ?

It seen these private companies has given liberty form Govt for “rowdism” on public no law any where. No justice anywhere???

Plz tell me the ways to get the justice and overcome my losses or else place a hording for public as statuary warning that “service provider has no obligation for any kind of justification.”

    My Mobile no is [protected], I'm a prepaid customer of Idea Maharashtra my dailer tone was changed automaticaly on 12th April after that I called up at customer care on 4444 but nobody helped me properly & disconnected my phone. As I'm working with corporate office & very bad dailer tone was activated on my mobile so it is spoiling my image.

    My Mobile no is [protected](Maharashtra circle prepaid service). Yesterday i got a sms saying that my missed call alert has been activated, where as i have not asked for the same. It is not the question of Rs.15/ rental, but it is the question of forcing me to pay for the service which i do not need. There are other ways of earning money, this is not certainly asked for nd moreover the customer care representatives care a damn about the customers nd they simply reply in a manner unasked for, they disconnect the phone. here as a customer i am not that free to go through a lenghty process only to get disconnected at last.
    I would request ur top management to look for the said matter otherwise we do not have any other option, other than changing the service provider. Your's is a service industry nd i am totally aghast to get such a treatment.

    For more than 3 yrs he is using the same mobile No and everytime they hold the number and ask for documents.3 times i have presonally submitted the document but Idea People are Carelessly handling these document and i don't know if they are selling these imp information to others.
    So some action needs to be taken against Idea Prepaid Ltd.

    My Mobile no is [protected], I'm a prepaid customer of Idea Maharashtra my dailer tone was activated automaticaly on last month after that I called up at customer care on [protected] but nobody helped me properly & disconnected my phone, and deduct the amount from my prepaid account two times.After thar i called once again to customer care service and he ensured me that your dailer tone will be deactivated within 24 hour but it was not happen.

    Since last 2-3 months Idea's service is pathetic, I am continiously getting problem with over changing due to feather charges and content down load, If you call customer care, its worse all.
    I never asked to activate these services, they on their own activate this service and charging me.

    hi..i am new to pune and i am frm chennai. here i searched for a gud Mobile service and i got a strong suggestion for Idea. I belived and i bought those sim and i started to use it for 7-8 days. Unfortunately they immedetly cut the service without any pre-announcement and now i am searching for a new mobile service. For the deactivton they are telling the improper document issue. If it is why they have to activate for 7 days and why they let me recharge..?????????

      I hv idea mygang connection and its terrif is as follows:
      sms 2 mygang - Re. 0.01
      sms 2 other - Re. 0.10

      I recharged d sim card for validity extend by Rs.296 and after dis my sms charges on mygang has gone to Re.0.10.

          I m using idea postpaid connection from last one and a half year, n i am sorry to say that since then my facing problems, i did not expect this kind of experince from idea customer care, the agents working in your call center are seriously lacking on the knowledge part as well as on bhaviour part, it been long m making comlaints n every time i dont get the convincing results, i was working with Convergys when i purchased this connection, that time the sales person made me wronge commitments n just because of that i suggested that to my friends as well, we purchased 5 postpaid connection, that time the sales person told me that everymonth you will get 1000messages n you have to pay Rs 25 for that, i specially asked them what if i will exeed 1000, they told me again the same bundle will be activated n you will get another 1000 in the same month, i confrmed this with customer care as well, n the told me the same, last to last month my bill was little high as per my expections, i was busy those days so i made the payment, then after that i called CC n asked about my bill sagregation, n they told me 1580 is the no of msgs you have sent, so according to me it was 580 extra which was charged to me, i made the complaint regarding the same, n they promised me a call back from the billing, i recieved a call as well but unfortunately the lady i was speaking with was very adamant, she directly said i can only offer you a discount of Rs 50, i told her about the whole story, but very rudely she said thats the best i can offer you, let me know wheather you want that of not, that time i agreed to that.then next month i called CC n asked about a cheep plan from idea to idea, they offerd me a Rs 100 bundle n told me that your call charges will be 10p, it was quiet good so i asked them to activate that, i was on a diffrent plan of Rs 49 in which my call charger were low to 50p, i specially asked that can i use both at the same the, the guy said yes, nxt morning i confrmed the same thing once again n the other person told me the same, after one day i recieved a msg the service is not been activated pls contact CC, i called CC n asked them abt this, the agent told me that these two bundles are not compatible, then i spoke to one of TL regarding the same, the guy was helpful n told me the concept, i asked him to activate the idea to idea bundle n deactivate the Rs 50 bundle, the most unfortunate thing is that the TL also did not informed me about the seviceplan that, he didnt tell me that you will only get 1000 mins @ 10p, thrice i tried to confirm from the agents that is there any upper limit of mins in this bundle n every agent told me that u can use till the time u want, n u will be cahrged @10p only, i started using my ph accordingly, when the bill was generated i was shocked because it was very high from my expectations, i called CC n the the lady told me that u can only use 1000 mins in this bundle @ 10p, after that Its 99p per minute, then i visited the NH1 showroom in fariadabad because it was height this time, i told them abt this they said as if now we cant make the comlaint against CC, we can anly generate a normal complaint n promise you a call back, i recived a call back from billing n spoke to prerna, she even did not listen to me properly n asked now what do want, i said i want you to get my bill correct n charge me as per the comitment, very rudely she said no to it n one more time it was a bitter experince from idea CC, i want you to listen to all the call made by me n do the needful, becuse this time its height n i dont want to pay for anyone elses mistake.please workout on the Process trainning as well teach them about the call control so that the can give out the correct information in a nice way,

            I had placed a request for post to pre conversion on 10 March[protected] and I was asked to contact any of idea show room and give them this request number and conversion process would be done ASAP.

            So I reached your Kapil Vihar show room and I placed the request there on 15 March 2008 and placed the request there[protected].
            when the conversion didn't take place even till 18 March 2008 I called up customer care and I had words with Priya and she took my complaint and given me a request no[protected] and she assured me that the conversion would be done by 7 PM on 18 March 2008 and after the call my number was suspended and my prepaid SIM didn't got activated even till 7 PM and when I again called customer care I was told that it usually take 24 hrs so it would surely be done by 19 March 2008, Morning. Again even that doesn't happen, so when I called customer care I was told that it would be done by evening, again that doesn't worked out, and I had put a request to get a call back to get the status[protected] but I never got call back.

            I tried calling your executive (Vandana, [protected]) at showroom, but she didn't answered the phone and many times she disconnected the phone or jst say that she would be calling me in 10 mins.
            on 20 I had talked with Kavita and she assured me that my number would be converted and she called me back few times but all in vein and when I take leave and went to your show room after lots of arguments I was told my number would be activated by monday 24 or 25 of march due to Holi.

            On 24 March 2008, I had to again call customer care and I asked them what can be done and than the executive got my number activated back in Post paid.

            So you can see 7 days I was without phone, I lost lots of important calls, my family, friends and loved ones could not reach me on Holi, and I had to travel so may times to your show room, loads of calls to your customer care and result is all in vein.
            Along with I had to purchase a new connection and phone to keep the things going all because Idea can not serve its customers.

            I need compensation against the kind of service Idea had provided me in past 15 days.

              This is santosh jha, My Idear Cell number is [protected], I activated a package for USA/CANADA call for which call rate was 2 Rs per minute. But in the bill of March-08, Idea is charging me flat rate. I asked several time in customer care but they all are helpless even they all know it is wrong bill. What I have to do now, either i have to pay full charge or pakeage charge.Please help me.
              I have received excess Bill of more than 2000Rs. on bill as MMS/GPRS download, that too only on 16th Mar'09. I am using a low-end mobile phone which doesn't support any video and game downloads. But still in bill it is reflecting MMS downloads worth Rs.2000 on Mar16, 2009.

                Hi,

                On 19th of March, 2008 I had received a call from idea cellular informing me that the validity will be expiring on 23rd of march.
                He asked me to recharge my cell with Rs. 100 idea easy recharge on that day itself and the validity will increase by 1 year in addition to other benifits.

                I did that and recharged my cell with Rs. 100 easy recharge. I got additional benifit of Rs. 74 talktime and idea to idea free minutes but the validity did not get increased. I called customerr care on that day evening or next day morning( I don't exactlty remember the time ) and they informed that thr validity will be updated after 48 hours of recharge. Even after that nothing happend.

                On 23rd of March I called them up again and the customer care executive informed me that after 23rd march modnight the validity will be updated. This also did not happen.

                Today(24th march, 2008) when I tried making a call I was shocked to hear that the validity has expired and I have only the option of paying Rs. 2.50 to increase the validity by 1 day. I did that and called the customer care. They said that on that day my number was not there in the list for that scheme and no one had called me up. I was shocked again !!!

                They said the validity cannot be increased and I will have to bear only with the benifit of Rs. 74 talktime and idea to idea free minutes.

                This is absolutely disgusting. They also said that they cannot open the incoming record of my number for 19th to confirm that someone had called me from idea. In my incoming call list that number is erased due to other incoming calls. I have recorded the talk with the customer care and also have the reference number of tha talk.

                If you can get the incoming call list on my number mentioned below for 19-Mar-2008 between 9am to 12 noon, then that idea number will be seen.

                  Hi,
                  I have taken an Idea Pre paid connection and my mobile number is [protected].
                  After so many of complain to put me on do not disturb section they haven't taken any steps. In between this they continuosly disturbing me either through phone or messages, at least 12 times in a day. Now they have activated the caller tune and deduct 45Rs. without my confirmation. When I have contacted them they told me that this has been activated because you have received our calls nd might be possible that in between the call you have pressed any key. But when I have asked them that tell me from which key this service is getting activated they told me that it is not sure.
                  On asking the question why you are making such calls and disturbing us there statement is that you are our customer so we can disturb you.

                  I want to compalin against this and want my money back. Let me know what I have to do for that.

                  Your quick response in this regard will be highly appreciated. I am realy fade up with these kind of corruption which is there in the field of mobile connection too.

                    I am existing post paid customer of IDEA Cellular Company in Pune Maharashtra under T-582 CUG plan (corporate plan for Tech Mahindra Ltd employee call charges [protected]@per min (STD & LOCAL) for initial 449 min. per month)I have received the bill for the month of FEB-2008 however there are many discrepancy in bill.

                    ISSUE 2) Regarding change plan

                    On 25-Jan-2008 I dropped a mail from offical mail id to change the plan on my mobile no and that shold get activated within 48 hrs of time period
                    but company intenally delay in service and changed my plan to T-582 CUG on 8th of March 2008 (after 15 days ) that cause huge amount diffrance in
                    my bill amount.

                    Recently I have given a plan change request because T-582 CUG plan (corporate plan for Tech Mahindra Ltd employee call charges [protected]@per min (STD & LOCAL) for initial 449 min. per month) changed to T-623 CUG plan by IDEA Company for that I given a request on 25-Feb-2008 which not yet served after 19 days.


                    I have already initiated a complaint against my idea cellular customer care and services.

                    The last time IDEA customer executive told me that in the coming bill all my CUG charges for past will be adjusted . But nothing happens.

                    Even for one of my number [protected] I have rs249 plan . But instead of getting 600 minutes free . my bill is showing only 400 min free.

                    I am an idea user since 2007 and my number is [protected]. but from last one year i got many problem from your services and whenever i call ur customer care they either disconnect my phone or every time says that our server is down so call me back after 30 minute and after 30 minute story is same. And deduct unusual money from my balance ...yesterday (on 11/12/2011) I got a call from a number [protected] and i doesn't get an voice so when i reply back then I was connected to a computer generated voice and that was a porn site(in Hindi) my balance is deducted Rs.45/ just for 33 second call. and your customercare executive say that it is an International call. If it is so kindly tell me how my call is connected to internationally without an area code???? And how I got an incoming call without an area code.???? if it is possible then please given it to me in written then I will back to you with some legal action.

                      Not getting signals in CMC campus and few many IT companies at gachibowli.

                      In this regard many o[censored]s are moving to airtel service.

                      If you can't provide services even in hyderabad like cities, it is so bad and sad.

                        Hello Sir/Madam,

                        I am a Idea Cellular Prepaid Customer since November 2010. My number is [protected] and services to this number as been barred from last 10 days.

                        I purchased this number from a authorized dealer where i have filled the form, attached my recent photograph and photocopy of my passport as identity proof. I have asked the dealer do i get problem like service barring in future and he said no.

                        But, recently 2 weeks back i received a message where i was asked to submit the documents again. so i have submitted all the relevant documents(Electricity bill on Owner Name of my temporary residence, Pan Card, Driving Licence) again at ACE VENTURES, Violet Building, NECO Garden, Viman Nagar, PUNE on 21st January 2011. They said services to your number will be restored in 48 - 72 hrs.

                        I have called the customer care numerous times after the stipulated time asked for where they are useless. I know the policies of idea not exactly the customer care department because i am working on one of their Prepaid Project. They are not supposed to close the ticket until they provide the resolution. But, they simply escape giving some or the other contacts like 198, 53550 which are not reachable in my case to avail more information or complain regarding the issue.

                        Previously i had an issue like i recharged my prepaid account with 250/- through their portal on 1st of January 2011 where i got the balance credited on 4th of January evening.

                        I am filled with so much anger and i don't know how to sue this people.

                        My job timings are hurdle.

                            This month again I have not received the phone call details of [protected] inspite of writing several times and talking to customer care executive and doing SMS. Since Idea Cellular has failed in giving the call details in my email ID also I have made request to customer care on 14th Feb 08 (communication ID[protected] to surrender my mobile connection. They have asked me reason of surrender, I told them because of poor customer service support with detail briefing of past experience. Customer care executive has told me that he can consider the surrender of connection provided I say that services at show room was poor. Since I was not convinced with his opinion then he has told me that he will not accept the surrender request.

                            Then I called up at [protected] on 14th Feb08 to collect the cheque as 15th Feb 08 was the last day for the payment. Mr Diwakar has told me that on 15th Feb he will collect the cheque. On 15th Feb 08 when he has not come I again called him up and he has told me that due to his personal work he could not come and after two to three days he will collect the cheque and the late payement charges will not be applicable. I have also made request to bring the form to surrender the connection but till date neither he nor anybody else has come to collect the cheque.

                            Pls discontinue the services of [protected] and send the balance amount to be paid. From my side I have surrendered the connection on 14th Feb 08 thru my communication ID 13019831. This is my request as I do not have time to write mails and run around Idea Celluar show room.

                            Due to regular follow up and lucarative plans with commitment of good services by "Idea Cellular" marketing executive I have taken the mobile connection .
                            -First month I have received the bill with full call details in which I have seen few descrepancies. I have called up the in customer care regarding the descrepancies but from customer care I got very poor response. Then I called up to the marketing executive who has given the connection and shown him the descrepancies. He assured me that next time these descrepancies shall be taken care. Since amount was less I have ignored it and did the full payment.
                            -Second month- I have received the bill without call details. I made the request for call details and also informed to customer care ( communication ID[protected] but nobody from the idea customer care has responded to my below mentioned grievences. I was getting regular calls from the Idea Cellular for the payment of bill without giving the bill details. Most of the time I use to be in my official meeting and in roaming conditions which use to be very irritating. I made request to the caller to cut my connection and come with full and final amout to settle the account. All these comminucation was waste and finally I paid the amount thru cheque. The person who came to collect the cheque has taken my email ID and told me that thru email he will send the call details which are free.
                            - Now this month till date neither I have received the bill nor the call details in my email ID. I am getting the regular calls for the payment of bill. I have told them to send the bill so that I can pay the amount and caller will tell that they will send the bill. Now today is 21st of the month but I have not received the bill.
                            In the month of Dec 07 I have got some problems in my mobile internet setting and I have wasted 8 to ten days to get the setting again. The customer care tells to call at 3434 and from 7am to 12.PM(night) lines are always busy. Then I visited to Idea Cellular office two times (mobiles setting and laptop internet setting). Now you can see due to poor services I have wasted my petrol, time and paying the bills without using the services due to worst customer support.

                            This is my request to Idea Cellular that I do not have much time to attend the baseless calls and writing mails to complain regarding the poor services every month.

                            Since services of Idea Cellular is getting bad to worst and harassment from customer care every month, it request you to send the full and final settlement and cut my connection.

                            One of my colleague Mr Ravi Shankar Singh ([protected]) has told me that Idea Cellular has charged ISD charges in place of STD charges in few calls. By mistake Idea Cellular has send the detail bill in his email address from where he was able to see the mistake. Lateron Ravi Shankar has spoken to Idea representatative and which got corrected. I try to verify the detail bill(phone no details) for the month of Nov07 in internet but is not available. I am not able to verify the call details which is very disappointing. Response of customer care executive of Idea Cellular is worst so far I come accross till date.It looks that response of customer care executives/ officers are not recorded neither monitored. Idea Cellular sales executive will present good plans, schemes and commitment for good services and being having two mobile connection(reliance and vodafone), I have taken the connection of Idea Cellular. But becoming an Idea customer is horrible at each and every step when talking to for any solutions or issues.It looks customers are burden to Idea representatives. Going under such horrible and painful interaction with Idea Officers/executive I want to surrender connection if you can not provide the bill details. There are so many problems in life and not inerested to have one more problem of "Idea Services".

                            From: "deepak" <[protected]@yahoo.co.in>Add sender to Contacts To: ccare.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.comI m using idea postpaid connection from last one and a half year, n i am sorry to say that since then my facing problems, i did not expect this kind of experince from idea customer care, the agents working in your call center are seriously lacking on the knowledge part as well as on bhaviour part, it been long m making comlaints n every time i dont get the convincing results, i was working with Convergys when i purchased this connection, that time the sales person made me wronge commitments n just because of that i suggested that to my friends as well, we purchased 5 postpaid connection, that time the sales person told me that everymonth you will get 1000messages n you have to pay Rs 25 for that, i specially asked them what if i will exeed 1000, they told me again the same bundle will be activated n you will get another 1000 in the same month, i confrmed this with customer care as well, n the told me the same, last to last month my bill was little high as per my expections, i was busy those days so i made the payment, then after that i called CC n asked about my bill sagregation, n they told me 1580 is the no of msgs you have sent, so according to me it was 580 extra which was charged to me, i made the complaint regarding the same, n they promised me a call back from the billing, i recieved a call as well but unfortunately the lady i was speaking with was very adamant, she directly said i can only offer you a discount of Rs 50, i told her about the whole story, but very rudely she said thats the best i can offer you, let me know wheather you want that of not, that time i agreed to that.then next month i called CC n asked about a cheep plan from idea to idea, they offerd me a Rs 100 bundle n told me that your call charges will be 10p, it was quiet good so i asked them to activate that, i was on a diffrent plan of Rs 49 in which my call charger were low to 50p, i specially asked that can i use both at the same the, the guy said yes, nxt morning i confrmed the same thing once again n the other person told me the same, after one day i recieved a msg the service is not been activated pls contact CC, i called CC n asked them abt this, the agent told me that these two bundles are not compatible, then i spoke to one of TL regarding the same, the guy was helpful n told me the concept, i asked him to activate the idea to idea bundle n deactivate the Rs 50 bundle, the most unfortunate thing is that the TL also did not informed me about the seviceplan that, he didnt tell me that you will only get 1000 mins @ 10p, thrice i tried to confirm from the agents that is there any upper limit of mins in this bundle n every agent told me that u can use till the time u want, n u will be cahrged @10p only, i started using my ph accordingly, when the bill was generated i was shocked because it was very high from my expectations, i called CC n the the lady told me that u can only use 1000 mins in this bundle @ 10p, after that Its 99p per minute, then i visited the NH1 showroom in fariadabad because it was height this time, i told them abt this they said as if now we cant make the comlaint against CC, we can anly generate a normal complaint n promise you a call back, i recived a call back from billing n spoke to prerna, she even did not listen to me properly n asked now what do want, i said i want you to get my bill correct n charge me as per the comitment, very rudely she said no to it n one more time it was a bitter experince from idea CC, i want you to listen to all the call made by me n do the needful, becuse this time its height n i dont want to pay for anyone elses mistake.please workout on the Process trainning as well teach them about the call control so that the can give out the correct information in a nice way,

                            I just can't get enough words to describe the pathetic service that idea provides. how does one capture their outburst in written, but yes idea users have no other option as there is no customer care no. for idea (i mean where a cust. care executive listens to you), they just have recorded messages that will make you kill youselves.

                            now, why did I want to speak to cust. care, i (being a stupid) took the stupid connection of idea for myself (was told that STD rates are Rs.1.30/min), some SMS had to be sent to activate the new std rates, did that. i was sent a message saying, the rates would be active in 48 hours, it has been precisely 120 hours since the sms was sent, but the facility never got activated, i sent the msg again, got the reply again, but after that msg one more set of 48 hrs have passed, still m being charged Rs. 2.75/min for STD calls. that's really pathetic.

                            these days when customers are given the best treatment by other service providers, idea has such poor service, this is unbelievable.

                            i feel like being trapped coz i have taken two recharges on this pathetic sim card, i feel like throwing it away, but can’t...

                            one more thing, if you want to make calls, there is one main criteria, i.e. network, but here also idea chooses to be the worst, u just won’t get the network, even i[censored] r standing under open sky..unbelieveable isn't it...

                            from last one year i am using the idea PREPAID cellular card no: [protected], i had a complaint regarding the cutting the account balance from my number,

                            i was using the external recharge message utility provided by the idea company, as i used to recharge every month reguarlly, and the 17-may-2008 was the last date, i was having 21 Rs. balance in my a/c and at the same time next day, my a/c balance is been cut to the 34 Rs. and balance was "-13" rs.

                            as company is saying that we had sent u the message, but as a regular user i haven't got any message form the company that we have changed the system " UR MESSAGE UTILITY AUTOMATICALLY WILL BE DONE" " for that they must send any message to customer regarding,

                            but i haven't got any message from them, and as i talk with the customer executive, they were telling we don't know any thing regarding this matter, and i asked to refund me that balance, they were telling that it's not possible, (Mr. Mahesh Senva, gandhinagar, ) had given me the contact to complain on this no "[protected]" but it is the post paid number, and i am the prepaid user.?


                            and they are just miss guiding the user, and without informing the customer they are cutting the balacne of the customer.

                            i am idea prepaid customer from last 5 years but i switch to another cellular service because of poor service.
                            Quite Surprised, with all the above comments. I ambased in Goa, and using Idea Connection last 4-1/2 Years. Till date I had issues with Call Center and least co-operation from Customer Care Offices but my issues was resolvd with little bit pain.

                            Coverage, Call Connectivity, outbound call details etc all things are billed as per the bill.

                            Best thing is that till date i faced wrong billing 2 times and in both of the times i was given discount and adjustments.

                            In any case i rate idea to the best network and in service atleast in Goa, compared to other operators.

                            Every one has there own views.

                            My personal suggestion to all Post Paid users
                            1: Buy a connection from a sales agent but do not listen to there lucarative plan
                            2: Different Tariff Plans and add on Packages do not get explaination from call center but take it from a Local idea care office or a franchise idea care center which is reliable.
                            3: After activating any add on package wait for the bill after activation, later utlise the plan to its full capacity.

                            These are simple tricks what i used and have no complains for Idea Service.

                            I stay in Silvassa, til date I have had only minor complaints (regarding rate plans) from Idea and all of them have been resolved. I took my connection directly from the Idea authorised care centre in my city.

                            Then I registered myself on the Idea website to get my bills via email too.

                            Now I receive my call details in both ebook and hard copy.

                            It has been 3 years and I still don't have any complaints against Idea.

                            I guess service quality varies regionally.

                            I am currently using the limetime postpaid plan (which has been discontinued) with monthly rental of Rs 49 only + an additional add-on connection with monthly rental of Rs 125 with local calls (not just Idea 2 Idea) WORTH RS 125/- WHETHER TO LAND LINE OR OR MOBILE FREE PER MONTH.

                            You should always apply for new connection at an Idea Care centre.

                            recently i have activated idea gprs(plan 35/day) on my phone through
                            sms.It was on 05-02-09, 5 30 pm.on 8 -02-09 7:30 pm i called customer
                            care to enquire about my status.and they told me that the status is OK
                            and i can use it.but when i tried to connect it it showed an error in
                            connecting.i again called Ur officer and asked for a solution.to my
                            surprise the solution he gave me was an idiotic blunder.he answered as
                            a KG student who is new to a computer. and at last he gave me another
                            no to call and i tried from that no but the reply was "this no: dose
                            not exist ". so with the help of my friends i configured it and
                            connected to "internet".
                            but when i used it the balance on my phone got deducted.so again i
                            called the executive and he said to me that it is not active and it wl
                            take about 36 hours more.(u must note that its already 55 hours past
                            now). this time i had to talk a little bit rude.for this he shouted to
                            me and cut the phone in middle of the conversation.after a short time
                            i received a MSG "your comm id 48451969 has been registered and will
                            be serviced shortly.". so for further clarification i called the
                            executive again and another decent guy took the phone and he was very
                            polite and i asked him about the above MSG.after enquiry he replied
                            that it was the request for canceling the gprs service on my phone. so
                            i asked him how can u people cancel a service in my phone with out my
                            request. for that he said that he don't know anything about it and it
                            was the mistake of the officer who u talked earlier. and he begged
                            pardon and assured me that u will get it activated it by tomorrow and
                            the maximum time limit will be 7:30 am.As per this i called the
                            customer care at 9:00 am 09-02-09 and the reply was that its not yet
                            active and it will take yet another 12 hours.

                            On 2nd Jan 2009, Idea disconnected my outgoing service. They told me I have crossed 90% limit. At that time my total payment due was Rs. 658. and my credit limit is 750. I tought the maths also that 90% of 750 is 675 and NOT 658. I have requesed customer care representative to transfer the call to senior but from 6.00pm to 10.OO Pm they were REALLY BUSY. I have made several request to activate my outgoing facility but they were HELPLESS!!!. So now I am also Helpless to pay the bill. Sorry Idea for just Rs.17 you have suffered loss of Rs. 658. bad even worst management. FAIL.

                            Two or three times a day I receive automated telemarketing calls from Airtel, and I am being charged to receive them as if they were any other call. After diligent searching, I finally found the Do Not Disturb Registry on their website, which I naturally signed up for; however, it takes 45 days to be activated, so that they can continue billing me for unwanted calls during that time. This is extremely dishonest. They probably make more from this unscrupulous practice as they do from people who actually listen to the calls and respond to them, though I can't understand why anyone would.

                            idea cellular / postpaid connection — even after 48 hours connection is not activated

                            i am a employ in omnia bpo. On 19/03/09 i have got a corprate connection

                            ( post paid ) from mr dinesh ( contact no = [protected] ) . verification of adress and other things was completed on next day by mr amit ( don't know contact no ) . i have given 250 rupess to mr dinesh as security money but he did not give any recipt for it . he was saying for corprate connection there is no rule to proviede recipt

                            but till now my connection is not activated . Mr dinesh has given me post paid no - [protected] and sim no is =[protected] . Mr dinesh have told me that within 24 to 48 hours i will be able to get service but till now i am not getting any service

                            my connection is not activated till now even more than 48 hours has been passed over .

                            i have tried to contact to mr dinesh than he was saying that the photo copy of id card of company that i have provde them is not printed both side even he himself copied the id . he has given me contact no of his team leader Mr randeep ( contact no = [protected] )

                            i have talked with mr randeep and told him ishue he is saying today is sunday it is not possible to do anything today contact on monday . than i have called again to mr dinesh and told him the concern he is saying it's not his responsbilty for it i should go to idea cellur main office ( in mathura road ) .

                            in last three days i am facing these types of mental harrashment from your emploies .

                            they are not providing solution of problem even they are not talking with me with a normal behaviour . if it is happing with a post paid customer that what' s about prepaid . hope you will take care about the concern,

                            there was a normal call which was attended by me and then i came to know that this is a promotional call recorded voce mail from idea, offering caller tunes. as i did not need that service, i disconnected the call. later on i got a message saying that you have opted for caller tunes and soon it will be activated.Then i rang up to idea customer care (Mr Ankush) and informed the same to him. He told me, you will have to run this service for atleast one month.

                            As i don' t want this service and there was none of my fault. i request you to do the needful.

                              ----(1) I had called the idea call center for N numbers of times and most of the time call connects. I discribs the issue & while resolving they are talking roodly, with their custmers. & they most of time they will hungup the line.What the CUSRMERS will do against the services that they are getting through their services provider.and on the web site there is no any e-mail or tele-phone number of the senier dept to whome we will talk.
