Idea Cellular — unwanted dialer tone

From last 15days days idea fooling me in a way of Caller tune & vice of idea (Not requested by me). Many complaints lodged against this in customer care time to time but all in vain. They are making me fool.

idead had activated idea jingle dialar tone which i hadnt requested on the same day1st jan09 i had deactivated thatone, but imigiately idea had activated the vice of idea as my dialar tone, then also i had deactivated that one after deactiving that once again idea jingle dialar tone activated this is happened with me @3to4 times with in the last 10days. they had always cutted the charges for the dialar tone rent. i m tring for the customeer care but it is always busy i had call various times means morning afternoon evening mid night but always buzy i had realy fedup. & suffered mentaly due to this

Idea customer care is not responding when ever i make they just pick up the call and disconnect it without giveing respones.plz help meas soon as possible.

I am customer of idea from last seven months. My idea no. is [protected]. I have activated GPRSUNLT i.e., gprs unlimited plan, 2 days ago on rent of Rs. 30/- per day, and i have proper settings for that but its not working properly. The they decrease my balance by Rs.30/-. Whenever I tried to surf its disconnected. Then I send message to deactivate service but they are decreasing my balance.
Idea also has poor service. Whenever I called customer care they takes lots of attempt, when they pick up the call they spoke very rough. Plz help me.
I just hope they will improve there services.

Idea — connection remains deactivated

It’s been an absolutely inconvenient situation that after paying money, voter ID card & Pan card as a legitimate document against an IDEA no.(new connection) [protected], the connection remains deactivated. May I know what the reason is?

My name is Manu sreenivasan, I activated that 49/month unlimited internet browsing.But i was not able to use that.I just leave that.But last day I lost my 49 rs, then i called customer care and ask what happens they said that its renewal thats why your money go.I just said ok, even that time i didnt get my idea setting.Then once again called customer care and they said 'dial *5789# ' I dial that and i got setting even i cannot use internet.Then i decide to deactivate this setting I asked for that and they said send "UNREG_SE to 55055.I also send that and they reply that the given code is invalid what should i do now help.

I just dialled the number shown on mty mobile to get more info about the GPRS services on my prepaid number. the next thing i know, i am being charged everyday, and the services don't even work. i try calling up customer services on the number [protected]. you get a few choices, but when you wait to speak to customer service, you get a voice message that the idea number you are calling is an invalid number. I would like to discontinue the GPRS. I think it's wicked that IDEA makes people pay for services they don't want, and have no way of disconnecting the services. I can't keep recharging every day, when i'm not using the services. Please help, or else i will be forced to disconnect the number.

I am a frequent user of IDEA CELLULAR and almost happy with its service but for the last one month whenever I try to dial a number like[protected] or the number like the same, it says that "Please check the number you had dialed" while when I try to dial the same number with my BSNL Mobile, it rings, not only for my delhi numbers but some other numbers are also not getting with this IDEA CELLULAR.

Whenever we tried to contact the customer care of idea cellular, it says the recorded message always that "All our customer care associates are busy on other lines, Please dial after some times", IS IT A GOOD "IDEA" SIR JI?

A partial amount 7.0 has been deducted toward the renewal & validity is extended accordingly”, I remained surprised because I had not given any such type of request when I talked with customer care executive he totally ignored me to take my complain & he disconnected my call and next some time I had to talk customer care. Finally they disconnected my connections. Two time I mailed to your customer care and I shocked their ignorance.



Also it is pertinent to mention that the same problem happened with my brother having mobile no [protected] having Delhi region.



I am surprised and shocked to see your such tantamount and lackadaisical behavior toward customer and finally I have decided to switch over to other private subscriber like Vodafone other.



Hence I wait for your reply within 2 days and failing which I have no alternate except to switch over to others.

I am a customer of the Idea prepaid services for a long time. I had submitted my photo and Identification documents already about 3 or 4 years ago. I got a message that I can ignore the instruction to submit the document if I had already done . But to my surprise the service is disconnected from today. Please reconnect immediately.

I am zankhana from ahmedabad. I am using idea from last 3 years..but i must say the service of idea is getting worst n worst day by day....i did recharge of 84rs i got msg tht my rc is activated.thn i checked my message bal it was showing 500 msg in my a/c. After seeing my bal of msg i started sending msgs to my frndz...And i saw that the bal was deducted from my main balance instead of msg bal...
For this i called to customer care they were taking my compliant so casually i talked to them for 1 hr but nine of them gave me satisfied answer. From customer care executive to floor manager Mr. Santosh every1 took it as fun did not showed any interest in my complain and beside all this, only for irritating me they were keeping my call on hold without informing me and at last when i said i want satisfactory answer they said sorry madam i gave u detail now m disconnected the call n he disconnected the call.
Instead of sovling my prob they were teaching me that i should call costumer care after the rc is done as if m free ..dont i have any other work to do tht i will call them them time after rc...They said this rc take 3hrs i said if this rc take 3hrs they should not show me 500 msg in balance this is something they are misguiding customer. just imagine 20 rs from one customer a huge amt they earn by such fraud ...and such useless customer care executives instead of helping us jus make fun and disconnect the call..i am going to give this in newspaper, and wil post everywhere in forums online. I want people should be aware of such big frauds done by idea.

Your customer care service is very bad.First of all no body take the call, if it happened they are unable to give satisfactory answer of my query.When I asked your executive about the unnecessary deduction of balance from my prepaid account, they disconnect my call.This is highly frustrating.

Hi Sir,
I'm a regular customer of idea from the last 3-4 years. but this time i'm feeling very sad that i'm using this idea connection from this much time. this time i'm getting frustrated by the false excuses given by the idea headoffice employees of noida.
i have been raised an issue 2 weeks ago on the cheated deduction of money from my amt. on that time they sad that there was a deduction of net 20/ day plan , and on that topic i said that yes you're true and please deactivate this service now. and they posted a complaint regarding this service and after few minutes i received a deactivation confirmation message. Even after all this, they still carrying on deducting Rs.20 everyday from my amt.. There were some more deduction on my no. and the service was 425 mid pack. on this, i asked them that how could i activate this service on my no. because there has been DND activated on my no. for the last 2 years. and even they people didn't know anything abt.the service. and there was nothing seeing on their system regarding this service. and on that i took out my phone and shown them the message of deduction information of this 425 mid pack scheme.
it's been so sad that this reputed idea company making people mad and happily deducted people money which they will get after a very hardwork.They people deducted almost Rs.300 from my amt. without any reason. Sir, i'm not a very rich person and working in a very small company and i can't afford this robbery.
Sir, please tell me where i'm wrong? you know very well that after DND activation we could not be able to activate any service on our no. because we could not receive any messages or phone calls from the company .
This is the very unhealthy or irresponsible behaviour which i was not expected from idea. Sir , please... do something regarding this as earliest possible otherwise you're going on deduction and i'll not be able to do any recharge on this no. and please refund my deducted amt. I'm so thankful of you.

this is to inform u regarding idea fraudulently deducting 250 rupees from my wifes cell phone.
i had gone to bangkok for my honeymoon on 2nd feb 2011 and when i returned home my wife realised that 100 rs has been deducted from her account. On the 9th of feb a further 149 rs were deducted from her account.

I called the idea call centre several times, initially for the first 3 calls they kept telling me that the 100 rs deduction is for receiving an incoming call from some no. which they said they cant divulge. As far as the 149 rs deduction is concerned every call centre personnel kept telling me that he/she has no information abt that and hence i should call after 4 hrs. I kept calling till 8 in the night, to no avail.
The next morning i called again but this time i again got the same info saying they have no news abt the 150 deduction but this time the lady tells me that the 100 rs deduction is for making an outgoing call from bangkok( this is completely impossible as my wife had kept her cell phone switched off and all calls were made from my cell). Now i lost my patience and shouted, to which they kept me on hold and finally came up with this excuse saying that 149 rs deduction is for international roaming rental.
I asked them i did not activate my international roaming, to which they say it gets activated by default. (would like to mention, i was carrying vodafone and uninor sim but there were no deductions on those 2 nos. at all, which clearly shows that idea is on a robbing spree).
The next day i called idea customer care (12345) again and spoke to one of the executives again but just asked him how much is the rental for international roaming? and he tells me there are no charges for international roaming. Then when i mentioned this incident to him he came up with another excuse saying the international roaming rentals are applicable to certain cities. So take note of the contradictory statements these guys are making.

I would sincerely like to request you to help me out of this, its not the question of 250 rs but question of my confidence to fight against many other firms doing the same to many others.

Now your tele executive has advised me to disconnect the connection. I am a person who is using this connection for more than 3 years.

Now to be very frank, I am currently suffering a unimaginable mental pressure because of this connection. Now I have decided to go for legal measures for compensating the mental & financial losses I suffered due to this connection with effect from 14/07/09 with media & news value.. Idea Cellular Pune — Incorrect Billing Done

I am using the IDEA GPRS service (Plan is 500 MB usage @Rs 200 per month.)

My billing cycle is 12th of every month.
So whatever usage i am doing in my billing cycle from 12 of current month to 11 of next month is billed in the billed generated on 12 on next month according to the plan.

In my case of the bill generated on 12 Aug, the GPRS USAGE for 11 July is added so the net GPRS usage of the month 12 Jul to 11Aug has exceeded the 500MB limit by 98 MB, so for that usage extra charges has been applied at 2 paise per KB to around Rs 1730.

And in the bill generated on 12 July the same gprs usage of 11 Jul has not been included so the net usage in bill from 12 Jun to 11 Jul in bill generated on 12 July is around 363MB.

Since the usage of 1st month's billing dates has been added to 2nd billing cycle so the net usage has exceeded the desired limit which should not be the case if that 11 Jul usage was billed in 12 July bill not on 12 Aug Bill

So i am asking the IDEA customer care representatives to do the reversal and adjustment for the same, but they are not ready to listen anything and forcing me to pay the bill.

Can you help me in this regard.

Idea — Imposing unnecessary promotions on customers

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am an Idea telecom prepaid service user. My number is [protected].

I was getting advertisement calls from Idea instead o[censored]sual “tring-tring” (known as Voice of Idea- which is by default activated on every customers number without their consent) for which I complained at their customer care dept.Customer Service representative gave me a number to dial to deactivate these promotional messages before the calls so that my callers can hear normal call tone. The number was supposed to deactivate promotional message when anyone calls me but instead it activated a dialer tone on my phone which was supposed to be free of cost as per the customer care. But again Rs. 45 were been deducted from my account for the same. I called up customer service people twice and got it deactivated from my phone, however they never acknowledge their mistake, and neither had they reimbursed my money.

Two days after this, I got a call to activate caller tune song on my cell phone Since, I am not at all interested in caller tunes and other promotional stuff, and I disconnected the call. To my amusement few seconds after disconnecting their call I got an SMS stating that Rs. 45 has been deducted from my balance and a caller tune has been activated on my phone of their choice. I called up Idea Customer Service and asked them to refund my Rs. 45 and deactivate this tone which I never opted. Instead of listening to me they blamed me that I have myself activated it on my phone and they can’t help me out with this. They were so rude that I insisted on speaking to their higher level manager. To my astonishment they were even worse as they assured that the tone would be removed ASAP, however they did not promised of reimbursing my Rs. 45. But even after 2 days my caller tone was not removed.
My situation is that at present I am looking for a job and getting calls from various HR people and Companies regarding the same ‘cause my number is there on various job portals. However, the caller tone being imposed on my phone is giving such a bad impression about me as a professional that people have even commented that why I am carrying a villagers tone on my phone. This is absolutely unacceptable. This is both ways loss for me, in terms of respect, time and money. Still the customer care people are not bothered about my problem. They are not even listening. They have no respect for their customers since they know nothing can be done against them.

I am sorry to say but this has become a practice for Idea Mobile company, to charge their customers for the services they never use (or never intend to use) and I am planning to go to consumer forum against the same.

Idea has not only poor service but they are also trying to cheat the customer in a fraudulent way by imposing their promotional schemes on their customers by any means. This matter may be referred to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India for a policy to stop Telecom companies for cheating prepaid customers. I have already several times spoken with the customer care representative and manager but nothing has happened neither my Rs. 90 (Rs. 45+ Rs. 45) have been reimbursed.

Please help me to get this company to acknowledge their wrongs.

I would not mind going to consumer court to demand compensation for the loss of respect I had both socially and professionally in past few days.

I would be so very grateful if you could look into it and help me out.

Please activate the National DND -DO NOT DISTURB service (SMS 1909 ) to stop the UCC-UNSOLICITED COMMERCIAL COMMUNICATIOn translated as unwanted promotion calls.

It is government monitored service and if the service provider do not compile with the request of DND, then the subscriber will be compensated for each act o[censored]CC. Imagine, the service provdier will need to pay 20, 000 Rs per each call in non compliance!!

I recd 10-15 promoping calls and sms daily. As i am busy in my own job i dont have time to read all this .i made a complain against it to stop this service but there is no response at all further they say it will take 45 days to stop this. As i dint request u to start this service so plz stop it immediately ,it harrass me. Literally i am thinking that i am trapped by buying idea sim, but anyway i[censored] will not response i have to change the sim card. Plz consider my request .

My name is purushothamareddy.y i am using the service of idea ([protected])prepaid(Andhra).I have already redisted my no in DND services for one year ago.My complait is i am getting unwanted calls from some services they are[protected]and getting unwanted sms from [protected].But still i am getting calls from some unwanted servicesI reprted to idea customer care contact center but they did not provide any proper responses.I request you please take action against idea service provider and stop the calls

Idea — receiving unwanted calls

Receiving unwanted customer care calls as well as messages which are useless. These are getting during office hrs. and it is very much disturbing my work. Please help us in not getting such call and messages.

We are using idea services since last 2 years and for the first time we have delayed the payment of idea cell phone and the services outgoing as well as incoming is stopped without any notice.Due to this we have lost important calls and we have to pay huge pricedue to this.
