[Resolved] Idea Cellular — block my lost sim | |||
Please block my idea mobile number [protected] as my mobile got lost 6 hrs back. I am giving this information so that my number does not get misused. I called up the call center to block the number but due to mismatch of my date of birth, the customer care executive did not block the number. This is an emergency case and they should have blocked the number immediately for security but they did not bother to do so. However, i shall try calling them again with proper details. Aug 14, 2017 Updated by mkcmukesh i lost my number [protected] and tried call center to block the number. but to my surprise, I came to know after 2-3 years o[censored]sing this number that my identity details does not match at all. This is very awkward and it means idea has given me a number which is details of other person's documents. I came to know about this when I called up the call center to block the lost sim. I think i shall escalate this to the consumer forum. I requested them many times to actually block this number for security purpose and misuse by illicit people, but it was not done because of mismatch of identity proof. Lastly, i tried to put this in written here and now its not my responsibility if anything wrong happens with the number. I also have a recording of the conversation which I can provide if the idea people ask me for. I just want to reduce my credit limit of idea postpaid connection from ₹1400 to ₹500 as I have a plan of ₹499
Requested for porting of my number [protected], some one came and collected Rs.100 and handed over a SIM after adhar validation. More than a month, till now its not activated and none of the existing channels to have an option to complain. Idea sucks
