Message i am getting when send port message "upc cannot be generated as the mobile number is not configured. Please contact your service provider". I am facing this issue from past 15 days. Called to customer care regularly. They are saying try after 4hours it will be resolved. I am not getting network niether at home nor at work place.

    Hello,
    I am user of idea service in maharashtra circle.

    I am trying to port out from idea, i tried many times, but i receive message
    "upc cannot be generated as the mobile number is not configured. Please contact service provider"

    I tried with customer care and visit to store many times, no resolution.

    During the same time, i was able to get upc code for my another number, i was able to port out.

    I have already being struggling with bad service by idea on quality of network availability and also addressing customer request.

      Even after clearing all the bills and submitting port requests more than 8 times Idea is not providing me the UPC.
      I always receive a msg from 1901 saying your number not configured contact your service provider.
      After calling Idea customer care they blame TRAI changes and tell me to try after 10th Jan 2020.
      Also, now idea goes with another excuse of saying you will not be able to generate UPC as you are out of your home network this means if i have left Chennai and shifted to Delhi I need to go back to Chennai to generate my UPC?
      This is unfair on customer part.

        I am user of idea service in Karnataka circle.

        Network coverage of Idea is not great at my workplace. I am trying to port out from idea, i tried many times, but i receive message
        "UPC cannot be generated as the mobile number is not configured. Please contact service provider". I have tried this several times, but showing same every time.

        Please resolve this issue asap.

            I am not able to generate UPC code for my idea number I tried all tricks and the reply was UPC cannot be generated as mobile number is not configured..pls contact service provider . I call the service provider everyday and they have no idea about the issue and It is not resolved from the last 5 days . I think the idea company is purposely blocking from doing porting to other number

                  I have converted my postpaid to prepaid number on saturday.

                  Now its been 3 days the same number is not activated in prepaid nor is active as postpaid. If i call [protected], they suggest to call postpaid and if called at another they said they can’t see the number.

                  Very harassing service. Though i have completed kyc documentation, idea is expecting us to waste our time to visit the store and calling there call centres?

                  I've installed my idea app and it displays wrong name in my account. I have submitted my Id proofs at the time of purchasing the SIM card, but it displays my dads name on it insted on mine, please resolve it !!!

                    Hello, my idea number is +91 [protected]. I have been using the same in international roaming (Qatar) for the past one year. From yesterday (30.12.2019) this sim is showing as no service. I have tried removing the sim and put it in another phone as well. Still the issue persists. On december 23rd 2019, i have recharged this number for inr1499 (Valid until dec 2020) and it has enough balance as well. This number is highly important for all my transations and hence need to get this resolved asap.

                      Used the normal porting process by sending the port request at 1900 from my idea mobile number. On submitting a port request the upc code is not generating and getting the error message reply from 1901. ”upc cannot be generated as the mobile number is not configured. Please contact your service provider for further assistance.". On calling idea customer care they are not ready to register a complaint, claiming all users are facing it. Kindly take action else i will file a complaint at trai as well as this issue is being noticed only for idea cellular.

                        I'm a idea customer, using idea from last 5 years. But looking at their network and high range plans, I decided to port to other service provider. But Idea is not allowing me to do it, they are forcing me to stay back. They are not generating any UPC code for my number from last one month.

                        Whenever I'm calling they are saying its technical issue, our sr technician will call you in next 24 hours and that's it.. no call from senior technicians.

                        Can you please take this on priotity as this is mental harassment and fraud also..

                          Hi all,
                          Currently i am in saudi arabia and using idea sim card as my primary sim from last 9+ years.
                          Since than i did not faced any issue, but this month i moved to saudi arabia due to some reason. As soon as i entered in saudi arabia boarder, my idea sim showing "no service" issue. I am unable to receive my important information like bank account, otp and etc.

                          Therefore i requests you to please resolve this issue as soon as possible.

                            I tried 6 times to PORT my number from one circle to another within Idea network only (my current sim was registered in Delhi but since now I have shifter to MP, I wanted to shift my postpaid phone number to MP circle) but everytime I sent the porting message to 1900 to port my Idea number ([protected]) I receive this sms in return: "upc cannot be generated as the mobile number is not configured. Please contact service provider".

                            My alternate contact number is: [protected]. I have also attached the screenshot of sms. You better solve my problem asap else I will port out of Idea network altogether.

                                  I am a user if idea cellular in telangana circle.

                                  I am trying to port out of idea but, whenever i am sending the port to 1900 getting error message like 'upc can not be generated as mobile no is not configured'.

                                  I went to the idea store they were unable to help. The executive checked my no and told everything is fine from their end. No bills are pending or any wrongdoing.

                                  Called customer care several times, the hacks they suggested like checking sms center no and etc, tried everything but nothing seems working.

                                  Please report and resolve this issue asap as i have struggled a lot.

                                    I am not able to port from idea to other operator.
                                    The number is from mahrastra circle. Everytime while porting i get the below message-

                                    Upc cannot be generated as the mobile number is not configured. Please contact your service provider.

                                    Whenever i call the help desk of idea they say it is a technical issue/ you will get the code in 4 hrs/ you will get the code after midnight.

                                    Why are you guys lying everytime. At least be bold and honest enough to give some genuine reply.

                                    It is really annoying and irritating to waste time time on such issues. We all have other problems to deal with in our lives, isn't it?

                                    So i request you to kindly look after my request.

                                      This is the third time i am complaining on the same issue.
                                      Worst service from last one week.
                                      We are not able to talk continuously with anyone. After few minutes or seconds, the voice drops and cannot here the other person speak.
                                      I want it to get resolved as soon as possible. The basic call is not working now in idea network. Very unhappy with the service.
                                      I do not want to raise the same complaint once again. Please resolve the issue and let me know.
                                      Please do the needful.

                                        Hi, i have been using idea sinve three years and i want to port out to another network for my international travel purpose. I have been trying to get the upc code since 14 days and i'm getting a message that says: "upc cannot be generated as the mobile number is not configured. Please contact your service provider for further assistance."

                                        I've also contacted the idea customer care many times regarding this issue for which they initially said it is a technical issue and would be resolved within 48 hrs. This obviously didn't happen. On another call they said it's an issue with trai and would be resolved soon but there's no progress with the issue.
