Karvy said that the charges for delivery was 0.3% of "trade value" or minimum of Rs. 25 + Taxes When I did the trading I realised that the brokerage was very high. I asked for the reason and got following information - KARVY charges 0.3% on "per share value" or minimum of 30 Ps per share. WHAT that means to investor - for share price Rs. 10/- and single trade of 1000 shares KARVY will charge brokerage of Rs 300/- (and not Rs. 30/- as your may be thinking using logic of 0.3% charges) THAT IS 3% BROKERAGE JUST IMAGING CHARGES ON STOKES THAT ARE BELOW Rs.10. SIMPLE PUT AVOID KARVY FOR ANY TRADING OF SHARES AS THEIR CHARGES ARE VERY VERY VERY HIGH

I have similar experience.
I have given my portfolio to Karvy for Portfolio Management. They are charging 0.5% brokerage whereas from others they are charging less.

Not to talk about their portfolio management performance.
I handed over two portfolios about two years back and the hypothetical current value of those portfolios (i.e. The passive portfolios without any transactions which can be set as bench mark) is about 5% higher than the portfolio managed by Karvy, ( Karvy has asked me to wait for 3 years which I am patiently waiting for !!).
At the time of taking over the Portfolio, it was told that the Portfolio Manager will be backed by Karvy Research Team. In practice, it does not happen since Portfolio Manager has to pay for the services from the Karvy Research Team, which he prefers to avoid- leading to portfolio management by an Individual without any back up of a research team !!.

Further Karvy forces you to open a current account with Kotak Bank ( Not a savings Account) and thus you loose interest on any liquid cash.
Karvy also does not allow the investor to "observe" his bank current account through Internet ( No operation of the account ).

Above is for information for the persons who may give their portfolio to Karvy for management.

    I have received a cheque consisting spelling mistake in my surname. When I visited your regional office in my city, Vadodara (Gujarat), they denied to accept my application and asked me to contact Head office in Hyderabad. Now if they are helpless here, then why we need to have Regional offices ?

In this organisation, women are not respected and they are harassed, ill-treated and abused ( can have various forms) Please be careful before you block your funds in this company or think of joining the same.

                  Dear Sir/Madam, I have 1050 units of the above said fund since its launch (2005), Twice i have tried to redeem all units through my brokers, but Karvy computershare have rejected my claim, 'signature mismatch', they said. On friday7th November, 2014, i personally went to your office situated at 305, 3rd floor, New Delhi House, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi, along with my Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, Bank passbook, Cheque book with name, address printed (the account no as in your records), original receipt of investment and a redemption form duly attested my signature by Sr.Manager, PNB, Janpath, New Delhi along with stamp The Lady sitting on the counter and at the reception says 'the bank manager have not written his name and employee code' so we are rejecting the form. Are you redeeming my shares or settling bank manager's PF account, If you have any doubt i have my aadhaar card, i have my pan card and my registered bank records, the original investment receipt It seems you are not willing to pay the redemption amount to me.An early solution is requested.                       Dear Mr/Ms I have demat accounts, which I had opened for my two minor sons . Both have now become adults and therefore now I want to make them operate as adults . You will be surprised to know that none in your organisation knows how to change this status . I went to your Indira Nagar office Lucknow and did all the documentation to their satisfaction . After some days I received the bundle back from your Hyderabad office - Regret unable to process - Not telling the specific lacuna - How funny . And asked me to go back to the front office at Lucknow . As expected they could not tell anything except scratching their head. Exhausted I sat back for 2 years . Now with the rally and interest coming up I fished out the bundle and went to your local Head office at Hazratganj opposite Raj bhawan Lucknow. There I met a very helping Mr Devvrat, who unable to help independently tried several calls at your Hyderabad office but could not know the procedure, and was told to mail the situation . The reply came after, as he said, 2 days, which he could not decipher again . and now today he is on leave - usual story of any office . Can you tell me authentically how to change the status from minor to major ? and who should be contacted if your help is also turns out to be not useful? I held my account’s since 5 years with karvy, around 7 family members also have the accounts managed by us with karvy arounding holding value with 1.5 crores, 2. My husband also have the account in his own name of shyam sunder gupta individual which has been now transferred to my name as sudha gupta with karvy, 3. We are the respected peoples and I am shocked that, how these peoples are reacting with us, we feel lonely after death of my husband, these people don’t care, 4. They are so, much cheated in absence of knowledge, that the limit has crossed, there is the rule of nsdl in case of nsdl that below holding of 10 lacs there is no need to produce court decree, although my holding on the day of acknowledgment letter sent by karvy our holding is below 10 lacs and these peoples have asked with us for the court decree(Violation of nsdl rule) they have cheated us with every aspect, 5. I am frustrated with this matter, I am facing this scenerio since july 20, 2014, no action have been taken from the nsdl and from other authorities against karvy stock broking limited, 6. They are running with a swing by doing violation of rules, 7. They haven’t done telephonic conversation with me, I have tried for the same, and local agra karvy stock broking manager have always said me that, he could not do any thing all the things will be done by karvy stock broking, Hyderabad, no body is helping us, these peoples are beggars asked for money when they need it but after their need is fulfilled, these peoples forget that relationship although my shuband and me both have our accounts with karvy, they new us then also treating us so harassingly, and my husbands account is also been transmitted in my name as sudha gupta, Is this not a valid proof to satisfy their quench these peoples are unnecessarily troubling us, 8. I will also not back step, if it is not solved iwill lead to highest authorities for this, if need I will also involve media to show the face of karvy 9. I request you to kindly ask the hoding statementon 9 november2012, the day on which I have received the first letter with karvy stock broking ltd in concerned with transmission of shares in huf account, I want my decision from that day on which I have received the letter against huf matter, on that day value of holding is below 10 lacs, and karvy had asked with me for the court decree, which is not necessary but then too these peoples unnecessarily troubling us, 10. In fact bank has also changed the new karta in their records on behalf on following documents. I am sendin g you following documents :- 1. First letter received from karvy, Hyderabad 2. Kindly find in deep blue my present query - (1) Kindly let me know on what basis did M/s Karvy sent SMS at 8:58:17 AM from BP-KARVY in my registered mobile with M/s Karvy & Mail from [protected]@karvy.com<mailto:[protected]@karvy.com><mailto:[protected]@... at 09:48 AM in my registered Mail Id with M/s Karvy informing me that Stocks worth Rs 30067.41 with M/s Karvy in Trading Account No 24101008 will be getting liquidated today due to Payin default/ Margin Shortfall. How did M/s Karvy know that Trading Account No 24101008 has Payin default/ Margin Shortfall and at what time and date???? Kindly note outstanding in square up notice includes Rs. 50 Or 0.5 % of Debit whichever is higher, in this case the debit amount was Rs 29917.8 and square off was Rs 30067.41 which includes 0.5% of the Debit amount M/s Karvy has not answered vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM as on what grounds M/s Karvy has sent the above SMS on Oct 31, 2013 at 8:58:17 AM and what was my Debit Amount in Trading Account No 24101008 as on 30/10/2013. Also M/s Karvy vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM has not told whether vide SMS/ Mail / Telephonic talk, information was provided to us (Trading Account Nos 2281189 & 24101008 holders) of Overdue Debit Balance. M/s Karvy can you kindly inform why no SMS/ Mail/ Telephonic talk method was used to convey to us Overdue Debit Balance????? (2) Kindly let me know when did M/s Karvy receive payment of Rs 52713.22 and Rs 29967/= of Trading Account No 24101008 in their Account and by what mode ? As per the ledger credit entry passed in your trading account for the amount Rs 52708.22 on October 29th, 2013 and Rs 29967 on October 31st, 2013. M/s Karvy has not stated vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM that by what mode they ( M/s Karvy ) have received payment of Rs 52713.22 and Rs 29967/= of Trading Account No 24101008 on 29/10/2013 & on which date and at what time as asked for in my mail dated Thursday, November 07, 2013 8:33 AM. M/s Karvy has the freedom to pass Ledger Entry as per their wishes & we as Customers are not liable for that. (3) Kindly let me know as to how M/s Karvy arrived at the figure of Rs 30067.41 worth Stock to be deducted from Trading Account 24101008 as per Mail from [protected]@karvy.com<mailto:[protected]@karvy.com><mailto:[protected]@... at 09:48 AM and SMS at 8:58:17 AM from BP-KARVY???? M/s Karvy has not given any reply vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM to this as it would be same to what they have replied to against my query (1). M/s Karvy has not answered how they have sent the above SMS on Oct 31, 2013 at 8:58:17 AM and what was my Debit Amount in Trading Account No 24101008 as on 30/10/2013. (4) Kindly let me know when was Ledger updated of Trading Account No 24101008 before sending SMS/ Mail about Payin default/ Margin Shortfall? M/s Karvy has not replied to this vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM. (5) Kindly let me know on what grounds you had blocked my Trading Account No 24101008 and 2281189 on 29/10/2013???? There was debit balance of Rs 50 in your account as on October 25th, 2013. (excluding transactions of October 25th, 2013 ). M/s Karvy has not taken into account that the above Debit Balance was not intimated to me by anybody of M/s Karvy from 26/09/13 till 29/10/2013 either by SMS or Mail or telephone & also not checked our payment history with M/s Karvy. Moreover shares worth more than Rs 25 Lakhs were in my DP 11266809 mapped to my Trading Account 24101008 and also in DP 12147257 mapped to Trading Account 2281189. (6) Kindly let me know what was the Overdue Debit Outstanding Balance of Trading Account Nos. 24101008 and 2281189 as on 25/10/2013???? M/s Karvy has not replied to this vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM but as per their reply to (5) it was Rs 50 & Rs 30 respectively. (7) Kindly let me know when and through whom did M/s Karvy intimate/inform me about Overdue Outstanding Debit Balance in my Trading Account Nos 24101008 & 2281189 ???? Kindly let me know the medium/mode of information to me???? M/s Karvy has not replied to this vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM. However kindly note that no one from M/s Karvy informed me about Debit Outstanding of Rs 50/= despite my regular telephonic talk with Mr Arijit of M/s Karvy. Also M/s Karvy did not intimate us vide SMS/ Mail or telephone of Overdue Debit Balance. (8) Kindly let me know why [protected]@karvy.com<mailto:[protected]@karvy.com><mailto:[protected]@... did not reply to my mail dated 28/10/13 enquiring what Transaction Charges have been levied on my Ledger; for what reason and what amount???? (9) Kindly let me know who is responsible for the mental trauma that I am undergoing from 29/10/13 and M/s Karvy is adding to this by sending SMS/ Mails stating Stocks will be deducted against new charges being levied in my Ledger without information to Trading Account Nos 24101008 & 2281189 Customers???? Ledger balance SMS will be send to you regularly from our end on your registered mobile M/s Karvy has stated that Ledger Balance SMS will be sent to me vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM but has not said whether any SMS/ Mail or telephonic talk was made by any M/s Karvy personnel to Trading Account Nos 24101008 & 2281189 holders of Rs 50/= & Rs 30/= Debit Balance in their Trading Accounts. M/s Karvy has till date not sent any SMS of Ledger Balance as stated in mail of [protected]@karvy.com<mailto:[protected]@karvy.com> dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM. M/s Karvy also has not replied vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM as to who is responsible for the mental trauma that I am undergoing from 29/10/13 and M/s Karvy is adding to this by sending SMS/ Mails stating Stocks will be deducted against new charges being levied in my Ledger without information to Trading Account Nos 24101008 & 2281189 Customers???? . (10) Kindly let me know who is responsible for forcing me to sell 120 Shares of Siemens on 29/10/13 in Trading Account 2281189 and what was the Overdue Debit Outstanding Balance in 2281189 as on 29/10/13 for it being blocked???? What amount was the Payin default/ Margin shortfall as stated by Mr Rohit Pasari who said that Trading Account 2281189 can be opened only after clearance of Overdue Debit Outstanding Balance of about Rs 60000/=???? Your account crossed a stipulated time as your account was already in debit of Rs.50 before October 25th, 2013 due to which additional limits were not available in your account on October 29th, 2013. M/s Karvy has not replied vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM as to which personnel from M/s Karvy contacted Trading Account Nos 24101008 & 2281189 holders of Rs 50/= & Rs 30/= Debit Balance in their Trading Accounts between 26/09/13 to 29/10/13. M/s Karvy has not replied vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM as to who was responsible for forcing me to sell 120 Shares of Siemens on 29/10/13 in Trading Account 2281189. Kindly note that shares worth Rs 25 Lakhs & more in DP 12147257 is mapped to Trading Account No 2281189 and similar amount in DP 11266819 mapped to Trading Account 24101008. Moreover M/s Karvy should also let me know when has there been a payment delay in Trading Accounts 2281189 & 24101008 except for this Rs 30/= & Rs50/= which was not informed to us by anybody from M/s Karvy. (11) Kindly let me know who is responsible for the losses that I have incurred and the mental trauma that I have been undergoing from 29/10/13???? (14) Kindly let me know why in M/s Karvy some Customers Trading Accounts are opened vide mail early morning daily despite these Customers having a higher Overdue Debit Balance than what it was in Trading Account Nos 24101008 & 2281189 and also overdue for more number of days????? Kindly let me know what is the criteria for such Customers getting their Trading Accounts opened and our Trading Account not get opened despite our payment records being absolutely clean without any delays beyond due date ???? (17) Kindly let me know how many days does it take to get payouts???? What should I do when I receive Payout after full 8 days??? Why did it take Contract Note No 1314/173N/1232886 dtd 10/09/13 for Rs 259991.80 in Trading Account No 2281189 to be paid in 4 installments on 13/09/13; 14/09/13; 17/09/13 and 18/09/13; that is full 8 days? It has been our experience that when it comes to Payouts, M/s Karvy has rarely given full payout in a single payout and they always have one excuse or the other. (19) Kindly let me know what are the Transaction Charges that have been levied in my Trading Accounts 2281189 & 24101008 as asked for in my mails dated 28/10/13; 29/10/13; 30/10/13; 31/10/13 and 01/11/13????? . What are the reasons for levying the Transaction Charges in Trading Account Nos 2281189 & 24101008 and on what date and what basis???? Transaction charges will be applicable on various cases such as, if you sell the shares which are lying in your trading account (collateral account) or if you ask for the payout of the scrips to your demat from your collateral etc.. The break up for these charges will be available at your branch. Rs.10 per scrip will be charged and it will be debited to your trading account. M/s Karvy vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM did not provide Ledger of Trading Accounts 2281189 & 24101008 despite requesting for same vide mails dated 28/10/13; 29/10/13; 30/10/13; 31/10/13 and 01/11/13????? M/s Karvy people should tell me how can one check what Transaction Charges are levied in their Trading Accounts without getting necessary Ledger. (20) Kindly let me know why Trading Account No 24101008 was blocked on 29/10/13 for the whole day and for what reason???? What was the Payin Default/ Margin Shortfall for it being blocked the whole day???? When did M/s Karvy receive the Payin Default/ Margin Shortfall amount???? When was Trading Account No 24101008 finally opened and on what grounds??? What was the Payin Default/ Margin Shortfall on that day???? Why did it take Mr Rohit Pasari 30 mins to call me after Arijit had requested him to do so? Why did it take Trading Account No 2281189 to be opened at around 12 Noon that too after selling 120 Siemens shares at 10:32 AM??? M/s Karvy has not replied to this vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM. (22) Mr Rohit Pasari rang me from his Office Number[protected] at 10:41 AM and duration of call was 3:46mins which he himself disconnected. It would be very kind if Mr Rohit Pasari could answers the following questions- (A) Why did it take Mr Rohit Pasari about 30 mins to call me up after Mr Arijit's call at 10-14 AM ? Overloaded? Petty Customer perhaps. (B) Was Mr Rohit Pasari aware of the delayed Debit Outstanding amount in Trading Accounts 24101008 & 2281189 as he was repeatedly stressing on clearance of the Debit Outstanding first? (C) Mr Rohit Pasari said that he had checked the Debit Outstanding in both Trading Accounts before speaking to me. Was Mr Rohit Pasari aware of payment history of both Trading Accounts and how many times have we defaulted before on our payments, as Mr Pasari was stressing on clearance of Overdue Debit Outstanding Amount ? (D) Did Mr Rohit Pasari take feedback from Mr Arijit about our payment history and was Mr Rohit Pasari aware that I had made NEFT payment on 29/10/13 in Trading Account 24101008 which was Credited to M/s Karvy at 08:55 AM? If the answer is "Yes", why was Trading Account 24101008 continued to blocked fully on 29/10/13 and what action did he take despite my phone call at 10:41 AM & 11:48 AM????? (E) Can Mr Rohit Pasari say what effort/ action did he take to open our both Trading Accounts as in 2281189 I was forced to sell 120 shares of Siemen at 10:32 AM and there was no Outstanding left and in 24101008 I had made NEFT payment of Rs 52708.22 which was Credited to M/s Karvy at 8:55 AM???? (F) Can Mr Rohit Pasari say why Trading Account 2281189 was opened at around Noon and 24101008 not opened at all on 29/10/13? Kindly verify from Mr Rohit Pasari whether he informed me about opening of Trading 2281189 at around Noon? M/s Karvy has not replied to this vide mail dated Thursday, November 14, 2013 12:45 PM. Kindly let me know whether M/s Karvy is interested to reply to my 22 point queries or should I look for other methods/ avenues to get necessary reply to my queries. We request you to please confirm the same for us to revise and send the bill accordingly." In this respect, I would like to state the following - a) I had received a call from a Lady Service Personnel of M/s Karvy but I had clearly stated that I would not like to discuss anything in this matter & that you are requested to reply to my mails vide mail only So your statement in mail dated Sat, May 31, 2014 at 5:32 PM as mentioned above duly underlined is not true. b) You have not answered to my queries submitted vide mail dated Thursday, May 29, 2014 10:59 AM marked as Reminder No - 4. The same is once again given below for your valued, belated & detailed reply. (1) DP 11266818 & DP 12147257 Rs 421/35 charged as AMC but in DP 11266809 Rs 505/62 charged as AMC for 2008-09. What is a matter of further concern is that once again I received a call on 02/07/2014 from telephone number[protected] at 11:52 am from a lady speaking on behalf of M/s Karvy regarding Trading Account against my DP 11266809. I asked the lady concerned who has provided her with my details and she replied that the blue eyed boy of M/s Karvy Mr Rohit Pasari has provided her my details. I would like to ask the good offices of M/s Karvy that on one hand you do not have the courage nor respect to reply to my mails and on the other hand Mr Pasari has been encouraged by M/s Karvy to mentally harass & disturb me. Kindly note that this is the third instance when I have been disturbed at the insistence & encouragement of M/s Karvy. A similar instance had happened on 08/01/2014 when I received a call from Ms Arpita of 99 R.N.Mukherjee Road, Kolkata from the number[protected] at 12-20 pm on stating that I am holding a D.P. Account but no Trading Account with M/s Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. In this context I have sent mails dated Wednesday, January 08, 2014 12:58 PM; Friday, January 17, 2014 12:30 PM & Tue, Jan 21, 2014 at 1:08 PM to which M/s Karvy replied - "Status was erroneously given to you by the concern executive and the required feedback is given to the concern. We ensure you best of our services in future" Kindly explain how can a professional Company like M/s Karvy repeat the same mistake thrice without any corrective steps / action taken. I am eagerly awaiting an honest, sincere, specific and detailed reply from the highly professional M/s Karvy who have a high reputation in the Industry. Yours truly, Bhupendra Singh Taragi

But from bhatinda i had already shifed to barnala due to my transfer to barnala. Then irequested your bhatinda branch to send the cheque to me at punjab national bank barnala hb where i was posted but they informed me to contact ludhiana branch. When i tried to contact ludhiana branch there was no one to attend the phone for no of days after some days suddenly some one attended the phone and informed me to send copy of account statement and informed me that they will credit the amount in the aaccoun . I send the statement through courier on[protected] but till date amount is not credited to my account. Irequest you to credit the amount alongh with interest at the rate of 24% from the date of redemption of my unit . Ac no [protected] in the name of harbans la jindal ifse code punb0347100 with in 7 days failure of which i will be compelled to approac consumer form
