Hi

One of the biggest mistake i did was to take Matrix Post Paid Sim card from the IGI Airport,

I keep traveling to Uk but never took Matrix, I always preferred using lybra or Lyca. My bad days were about to come when i took the Matrix sim for the Airport

Firstly ,
I was surprised to see the new policy of the only telecom industry,
they took my Credit card and said 5000/- are now blocked they will not be transacted from the account but are like the security.

Point to mention here is ..the representative convinced me not to completely fill the form and he would fill on my behalf ( My mistake ).!!!!

I took 2 plan for 499/- for 1500 minutes free talk to India which is equal to 998/- ( Basic Rental ) for 300 minutes = 50 hours free calling to India

When i first received the bill they charged me the basic rental was charged to 1500/- ?????

inspite of charging me wrong they said it was me who too 3 package for 499/-..!!!!!!
Then they gave me another will for my usage . As mentioned above i as liable to call 50 hr without any free , I exceeded 4 hour ie : total usage was of 54 hours and 54 minuts.

Now the paid india Calling charges are .09 Pound / Minut
for 4 hour extra they charged me 12000/- ?

4 hour = 240 Minutes

total extra charge should be : 240 * 0.09 (Pound) = 21.6 (Pound)

Total INR = 21.6 * 86 = 1857 ...round off to 2000/

I was shocked to see my bill for 12000/- I am now more worried that My credit card imprints are still with them ,.I have faced this issue request you guys never ever think of going for matrix , IF you are traveling to Uk Go for Lyca or Lybra, they at least don't overcharge
....No to Matrix!!!!!

    Matrix Invoice # ATTG3269594.

I am an employee of HCL Technologies Ltd. I went to USA on an official trip on 30th Mar and returned on 7th Apr. I got an international SIM card from Matrix for the trip. The sales executive showed me a tariff code ATT10112ACCh and informed that the tariff was exclusively for HCL. I got the bill for Rs. 3936.48 after two weeks. Later I found that the tariff code for HCL was actually ATT0313HCL with lower call rates. My bill would only be half of this if the correct tariff code was applied.

I wrote a mail to [protected]@matrix.in on 22nd Apr and got a response that I will be contacted within 3 working days. I have not yet received any update. My follow-up e-mail on 30th Apr has not been responded.

    Thanks

I took Matrix SIM card for my phone and data SIM card for my iPad during my one week travel to USA in February 2013. I was told the billing plan around usd 80 for 1 GB download and if its exceeding the limit then the matrix cellular company would adjust the bill by paying usd 10 per GB for additional usage. I used the data card just for calling home and downloading my Simple emails with very minimal attachments. And believe it or not I have been charged rupees 17,700 (usd 315).

After I lodged the complaint to the representative named Flaguni Chatterjee who brought the Sim for me with a big smile has actually shamelessly refused to attend my complaint saying his senior is not interested in my complaint.

This matrix company is running a racket to cheat people and make loads of money and not bothering about their problems and complaints. The interesting fact was even the matrix guy was surprised to know the amount, but at the end I feel they all are bunch of crooks and making money by producing fraudulent bills. So friends please be aware of such company providing international SIM card for phone and Internet usage.

It's always best and smart way to take the prepaid Sim from the international destination locally so this way you are not worried or bothered about heavy bills from such fraud company. I have decided not to give my credit card authorisation in advance to any company without knowing the amount or else they will stab at your back and leave you in pain.

Please be aware of such companies and pass this information to your family and friends. R.K SADH

I had purchased Matrix number 04237519 in Jan, 2013 while travelling from India to Mauritius since they offer 15 minutes of daily free outgoing calls to India.
I had spoken to 3 different customer care executives regarding bill plan. All of them offered me the plan as follows:-

Rental of Rs. 999 for card validity of 10 days.
Free unlimited Incoming calls while in Mauritius
Daily Free Outgoing to India for 15 minutes.
Local Outgoing calls within Mauritius - 6 MUR / minute
Outgoing calls to India - 30 MUR / minute
        SMS - 5 MUR / sms
        GPRS - 40 MUR / MB

After that I paid them 6000 INR in cash as a security which they demanded. I used my number for 7 days while my stay over there from 24 Jan, 2013 to 30 Jan, 2013. I limited my outgoing calls to less than 15 minutes per day (except for 2 days). My all other calls were incoming.

After I came back to India, I returned the simcard (as per procedure). After that, I received the bill (of Rs. 4965) on my email and I realised that they had billed me according to a different plan which had only 500 Rs. of total free calling instead of 15 mintes of daily free calling.

This amount was very high since I didnt make any outgoing calls of more than 15 minutes on any day except for 2 days when I exceeded the 15 minutes by 4 and 2 minutes only. Rest all days my calling to india was less than 15 minutes. But they have billed me for all my calls according to some different plan which I was never told about. According to the plan that I was offered, my bill would not have been more than Rs. 1000.

I registered a complaint on customer care by complaint number SU[protected] on 15 Feb and they told me that I will hear from them within 48 hours but I never received any call. After that I have called the customer care 7-8 times and everytime the customer care tells me that problem is being checked and will receive a call back in 48 hours.

When I had called the customer care for purchasing a sim card, they were calling me at least 3-4 times a day till I didn't buy one. FOr the same reason, I was getting called by 3 different executives. But when I registered for a complaint, they never called back. I had to followup again and again but all in vain. The response is really poor and I am very irritated.

The amount involved may be very small but the way Matrix is fooling the people, they are doing a commendable job at it. I suggest you don't buy any matrix sim cards.

I am Sam, Cinematographer/Film maker from Kerala I took a sim card of matrix while i travel to Dubai. And in my tariff plan they wrote an amount of 1.5 dhs/MB but on bill they charged me 6027 Rs for 65.297 MB it is 92.30 Rs / MB. and send a bill of total amount of 6699 Rs. and while I am asking about that on costumer service, They are not ever responding well.. what shall I do for that now? could you please help me to get a justice. one more thing is there. It was not a roaming sim. It was the normal Du Simcard. in that case the call charge itsef very higher than the normal Du users there. could we do something against this? Hope you could help me to get a justice. Or should I go through the consumer court itself?
          Thank You Sam

I used 2 matrix cellular SIM cards in connection with foreign travel and I paid the charges immediately on receipt. After a few days I was sent another bill which included multiple sms (purported to have been sent even when the SIM was not in the phone). Apparently these sms are some kind of special / premium services which Matrix is not able to explain (each sms is charged at over INR 200!). I have written many e-mails but the standard response is that the services have been rendered by a genuine (!) network partner. Matrix is now threatening legal action (including criminal action) citing Indian Penal code. It is hard to believe that Matrix is a professional company. This is plain extortion.

I was to travel to Germany between 12.06.2012 to 16.06.2012 for business purposes to attend an International Sales Meeting in Berlin approached Matrix Cellular for securing a local SIM card for Germany required for making only phone calls as the company is in the business of providing SIM cards of different mobile telephone operators of different countries. The requirements of SIM card were communicated to an executive at Matrix. I completed the formalities by executing a Customer Agreement Form (CAF) (Ref.No. T[protected]/Account code-385983). The plan opted by me comprised only of phone calls and text messages and I categorically communicated that data services in form of Blackberry services were not required by me. As per the tariff plan provided by you to me call charges per to be billed at € 0.12 per minute for outgoing calls to landline & same mobile network and € 0.355 per minute for outgoing calls to other mobile networks. There were no other charges that were required to be paid as per the plan. I was provided a SIM card, and a personalized country specific mobile telephone number bearing no.[protected] for my usage in Germany. I secured the required security deposit through his credit card for securing a SIM card and personalized country mobile number. I further opted for post paid connection and was required to make the payment on my return to the country. The credit card details were also provided for making the payment. The Customer Agreement Form (CAF) incorporated terms and conditions interalia on pre-activation and the relevant condition qua pre-activation is extracted for reference:
“I am aware that GPRS may be pre-activated on the SIM card provided, charges are up to USD 20/MB usage”
So the agreement expressly provided for pre-activation of GPRS and no other number/services/data was to be pre-activated.

              1. That SIM card and personalized country specific mobile telephone number were serviced in Germany by O2 a brand owned by Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG (parent network), the mobile network provider, which belong to Telefónica Europe and are part of the Spanish telecommunication group Telefónica S.A. The company offers its customers postpaid and prepaid mobile telecom products as well as innovative mobile data services based on the GPRS and UMTS technologies.

              2. I during my business trip used the SIM card provided by Matrix for only making business calls and text messages. On return I was informed by Matrix Cellular that a bill of Rs. 59,044.96 (Bill no.O2GER466932) was generated from the use of the SIM card in Germany. I was shocked beyond imagination at such an exorbitant bill especially as I had used the SIM card for making limited calls for business purposes. Further, this was not the first time that I had used a SIM card in another country. I Requested Matrix Cellular to provide me with the invoice and itemized bill to check veracity o[censored]sage. The invoice and itemized bill was communicated to me on 25th June 2012.

              3. That on perusal of the itemized bill the call usage charges amounted to Rs. 3497/- (three thousand four hundred and ninety seven only). Remainder of the bill (Rs. 50,620.71-3497= Rs. 47,123.68) comprised of billing for a telephone number ‘77777’ under the heading of ‘premium service’. I was utterly at a loss to understand the origin of the calls to this number as I had not dialed this number at any point during his trip to Germany. Further, I was not even aware of such a number let alone the ‘premium service’ it offers. I immediately contacted the company for rectification of the invoice as I had not dialed this number for ‘premium service’. I further inquired as to the details of the service provider in possession of this number. Matrix Cellular Exceutive informed me that the premium number belonged to a company by the name of MoCoPay in Germany. On making further enquires on usage details the executive stonewalled it under the garb that the company MoCoPay doesn’t provide details of calls and only reflects in the invoice. In the meanwhile on 29.06.2012 Matrix Cellular illegally recovered the entire disputed amount through credit card via details provided by me at the time of signing the customer agreement form without any authorization from me

              4. That the invoice dated 15.06.2012 generated by Matrix contains charges amounting to €26.06 (Rs. 1,899) towards Blackberry Pack, a service which was neither used by me as is reflected from your itemized billing nor activated on express instruction by me. Inspite of express instructions and non-use of Blackberry I am a loss to understand its inclusion in the Bill/invoice generated Matrix Cellular. I have communicated to Matrix Cellular regarding this discrepancy but no action has been taken to rectify the situation.

              5. That the perusal of the call details to ‘premium number’ 77777 shows that the same have been activated between period of 12:21:11 hrs to 14:43:04hrs on 15.06.2012 with break of 2-4 minutes. This is the same time period when I was in an International Sales Meeting at Berlin and has witnesses to prove his presence and participation. The mobile phone was in the pocket throughout this time. So it is not humanly possible for me to be engaged in two activities simultaneously i.e. to conduct a sales meeting and talk on mobile phone for a continuous period of 2 hrs. The usage details of the calls to ‘premium service’ number 77777 indicate that the same were ‘pocket calls’ whereby the number was accidentally activated by my body pressure as the mobile was in my pocket. Further,’ pocket calls’ can take place to numbers on the SIM card or on the phone. In this case all the calls were to the same number which indicates to the fact that this ‘premium service’ number was pre-activated on the SIMCARD provided to me by your company. The pre-activation of ‘premium service’ number has been done surreptiously without either informing me or taking my express permission. This action by Matrix Cellular has been done to de-fraud, extort and extract money from my me by excessive billing. This action is also contrary to the terms and conditions contained in customer agreement form.

              6. That I have made enquires in Germany and it transpires that the ‘premium service’ number 77777 is further leased out to another company by the name Net Mobile AG under the brand name ‘Best Connection’. The SIMCARD provided by your company to me bears the name ‘Best Connection’ so your company has financial nexus with the use of premium service number ‘77777’. The telecom service provider for the mobile number provided to me is Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. The Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co charges its domestic clients €1.99 per minute for use of speed dial numbers providing ‘premium service’ such as 77777. In the present case matrix Cellular has raised an invoice wherein €5 per minute has been charged for usage of these services. As per the Rate List, provided to me the call rates are @ Euro0.12/min and Euro0.35/min to local phone numbers so the company could not have charged € 5 per minute in the first place without my express permission and knowledge . So the company set to gain €3.01 per minute o[censored]sage of this premium service’ number. As per details furnished by the company there has allegedly been 127 minutes o[censored]sage of this premium service’ number, so 127minutes ×€3.01= €382.27. The company has financially benefited to the tune of €382.27 and its conversion to INR 27, 8556.014 (1 EUR = 72.87 INR as per your bill) from the ‘use’ of this ‘premium service’ number. This is a rough estimate on the conservative side and calculation has been done considering that Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co is giving the domestic rate wherein they would most probably be giving the company bulk commercial rate less than €1.99 per minute. In such an eventuality theprofit margin on activation of ‘premium service’ number increases substantially.
              7. I have on various occasions communicated to you on these aspects but the company has not taken any action to rectify the situation and refund the amount illegally debited by them.

              8. It is evident that the company has cheated extracted and extorted money from me under the guise of a commercial transaction. This makes the company liable for criminal action in addition to civil wrong and damages. They have caused financial loss, harassment and mental agony to me.

              9. I further reserves the right to sue the company for the offences which might have been committed by them in course of transaction and other offences which amounts to extortion, fraud and cheating.
In view of above I call upon the company to refund the entire amount of Rs. 59,045 (fifty nine thousand and forty five only) with interest @ 18% till the date of making the payment from the date amount has become due with Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten lakhs only) as compensation for causing mental agony and harassment to me.

Mobile service provider — Billing Details

TELECOM - ITEMIZED Billing CHARGES - WHY?

When we buy goods and service, its mandatory that companies have to Bill item wise to the consumer in detail so that the consumer agrees to the charges and pays the consideration.
In such cases there are no charges for producing the Invoice by any company.

In telecom, why do Govt allow to place a CHARGE for itemized billing. And that too a sum as huge as about Rs 50/- per month.

                hello sir,
on our recent trip to hongkong we took four matrix sims with us , two each for macao and hongkong . one sim in macao was not operational and when we send the message to the matrix customer care we were called by them several times to rectify the problem, which itself was not rectified . to our astonihment we were billed for all the customer care calls and also we were charged for a call to our aircel no. that we took with ourselves. the aircel sim had a balance of rs 290 only and according to macao international roaming charges could not have supported call for more than 3 minutes but we were amazed to see a call charge for that no. for 14 minutes . when we reached india we checked the aircel balance and still it was 200 rs .
and very strangely in our hongkong bill statements we were charged for the same call between our two sims for different time durations differentiating by more than 60 seconds , HOW IS IT POSSIBLE ? we were assured for rs 500 free calls for each sim but what we got is the big zero.
we complained several times on their consumer helpline and also mailed them but there was no positive response from them .
we are great admirer of cnbc awaz pehredar and have seen several cases takin u turn on taking your initiatives . please help to get justice thanks .

                  Dear Sir / Madam,

I’d like to bring to your attention that Matrix Cellular Services has provided me deficient services, a fraudulent bill, have charged me wrongly and sent me a legal notice. They, instead of addressing their service gap, are threatening me of taking a legal action against me.

I have been charged incorrectly and have written to them for proper clarification but the response received is not satisfactory.
To give you a background., I had taken their services for my official tour to Belgium from 12th - 19th Oct 2012. I had requested for a free incoming sim for Belgium. Their service representative asked me to furnish relevant documents and I submitted my travel ticket to Belgium, and visa stamp proof on my passport card. The agent shared tariff card for my signature and confirmed that the sim provided by him will meet my requirements for free incoming and I'll additionally get rs 500 worth of free talktime. Before travelling, I again wrote to Matrix representative enquiring about my tariff but no response was received. On reaching Belgium, I realised my sim was not working and I was unable to receive or make calls/messages. I informed my husband in India through call (from my colleague;s cell) and an email of the same. I also wrote to the Matrix representative and also shared the number that was given to me for free incoming in Belgium and the networks I could see on my cell...but were not working. My husband also called this Matrix representative and helpline a couple of times to appraise them of the situation. Matrix representative told my husband who the wrote to me that I only needed to reboot my cell and there was no other problem with my card. I tried that but it did not work. We had to constantly follow-up with Matrix team throughout this period and no timely/proper response was forthcoming. This led to a business loss and my missing customer calls as I had no connectivity. Then, on 16th, my sim started working on its own and I continued with receiving calls the purpose for which I had bought the sim.

On returning in India, I suddenly received a bill for approx Rs 7000 and it wss only for 12th to 14th Oct. I was shocked and followed up with Matrix. despite my multiple follow-ups, there were no response from Matrix and further the amount was deducted from the credit card. This was for the period when my sim was not even working. Then, on escalating to nodal office and further follow-up for 2 weeks, Matrix team confirmed that they had by mistake given me Bahrain sim for Belgium. Then, they had also activated international roaming on my sim without informing me which then created a huge bill. Again, a month later, I received another bill of Rs 43000 approximately to my complete horror.

Despite knowing that I was given a wrong sim, Matrix team did not make me aware of the same when I was in Belgium thereby creating a huge bill on my incoming which was supposed to be free.

Again, many follow-ups later, Matrix team accepted their mistake but said they want me to pay rs 15000 as that is the cost they have incurred on wrong sim given to me. If i dont agree with their proposal, I'll have to pay the remaining 43000 in full!!!!

I am completely shocked and feel cheated with this whole thing - they gave me a bahrain sim in return of belgium documents, gave me a wrong tariff card, did not provide services or response for first 3 days of travel, activated roaming on my sim without informing me or even telling me in response to my mails - that I had been given a bahrain sim and that would attract roaming on incoming. Further, I have had to follwo-up with them for almost a quarter to get basic responses and Now they are threatening em with a legal notice.

This is just not acceptable and is completely fraudulent behaviour.

I also told them, that in all fairness, I am ready to pay for what I rightfully owe them - that is the basic rent/settling amount of Rs 699 and the charges for outgoing that I made. which comes to around[protected] Rs.

In fact they have already fraudulently deducted more amount than I owe to them through my credit card.

However, now they are threatening me that I pay 43000 more or they'll take me to court!

I appreciate if my case could be considered for a fair justice. I have copies of all the emails exchanged, the bill etc. I have mails I had written to Matrix representative to get clarity on my tariff and why my belgium incoming sim was not working in belgium. I have a copy of all the calls my husband made to Matrix to get clarity on why my sim was not working in belgium. I also have an email from matrix representative confirming that belgium roaming cant be activated on bahrain sim. This is a proof that different employees of Matrix give different information to people when they have to sell their services but after sales service is a completely different situation.

In alst one quarter, I have spent 20% of my office and home time in running after Matrix and stay stressed over turn of events. My health has taken a toll and doctors have confirmed that immunity is extremely low due to over stress.

I have checked internet and find that there are hundreds of people like me who have been cheated. I am not sure how many of them would have had the courage to pursue things in face of such fraudulent, scary legal notice mails.

But I, want to take this further and want fair justice.

                  Please help.

                  Thank you

                      Hello All

I have taken a SIM card from Matrix for use in Egypt on Jan 18 2013 and got the number [protected]. I asked and gave a copy of Egyptian Visa but was assigned a bill plan for UK from Matrix sales rep.

After coming back I was charged as per UK plan an amount of INR 10902. Which is incorrect and I made a complaint regarding this to Matrix on 4th Feb 2013. The complaint number is SU[protected]. I asked matrix to charge me as per Egypt plan and refund the amount back to my credit card. Till date no action has been taken by Matrix. I have called their call center numerous times and nothing has happened.

I am forced to write a complaint here. After this I will take legal action against Matrix.

Please help me with this problem.

We are having a corporate agreement with Matrix and had disputed a particular bill sent to us in 2010. This showed a series o[censored]sage which did not appear normal. We complained to teh branch representative in Banagore, Mr. Velu, who at the time orally assured us that this bill would be corrected. The account statements kept on coming along with Late payment charges.
Velu assured us that this would be rectified. Now Matrix filed a case for recovery and the previous personnel are no longer there.
We neither have all the documentation details etc and are now faced with the prospect of having to pay for a wrong bill.
We have now decided not to use Matrix as it is almost a racket that they are running.

On 25th May 2014 I left for US from Hyderabad airport.
Matrix sold me a SIM card & the executive who sold me the card said they will charge me only for international calls
& nothing else. They also said I will be charged only $20/- for the first 15 days & the company would contact me regarding the service by phone or mail. If I am not happy they will close the service.

                        1) I never received any confirmation call from the company
                        2) They charged me for something called data plan which I did not ask for.
                        3) when they sell the SIM cards they are in person. I tried many times to contact the company executives to stop the service they never respond.
                        4) They added some thing called fixed charges to the bill which they did not inform about.

I request take necessary action so that the travelling public are not cheated.

                          Hi ,
I have taken a SIM for 15 days for my UK Trip at Delhi Airport. I specifically mentioned at the time of purchase that I will be required only for 15days and no more extra days. The Desk guy assured me so I took the SIM.
When I returned back they Issue me bill which of 30days.. Double bill instead of 15 days.
Upon calling to their call centre Matrix is saying your account has been rolled over and so you need to pay for 30days instead of 15 days. They are saying that your connection start from 12th Jan 2013 to 27th -Jan-2013. which is 16days.
When I reply to them that it is Matrix desk guy mistake why he mentioned those dates when selling connection for 15 days. My UK trip is was only fro 15 days as per my tickets.

Upon repeated call to their customer care Matrix stand is not change. They are claiming that their bill is correct. I did not understand how any company can solely say that it is correct when the person is denying about the services.

I would recommend not to use Matrix services. They are actually Cheat.

There are so many complaints in this forum , I really did not understand how such company operates in India. Why their licence are not cancelled.

                          Regards

i opted to use two sim cards for dubai and was told of plan by their executive mr. C that the lowest plan is something rs. 600 and there would be free calling between the dubai no. upto certain limit and free incoming .
However to my surprise they have charged me for the data services not used by me at all on bote sims amounting to about rs. 8500 plus and on asking them to revert the charges the reply is same that the GPRS is preactivated on dubai sim and the on smartphones it gets automatically activated
so they mean to say that you use a silly old phone and not a SMART PHONE where as most of the phones are smartphones and then all samsung ,lg, and apple users would have to bear such a charge . so be aware of matrix and do not listen to their advice and do not get into agreement for billing them through the credit card as you would be charged any way and there is then no way to retrieve the overcharged money.
i have written the complaint but there customer care says that this what you agreed through the agreement but forgets to say that theydid not inform or fully make me aware of he same and that also amounts to breach of faith .
I hope that some sense prevails in their mind to maintain good customer relation

                              Dear friends,
I want to share my problem with matrix cellular services pvt. Ltd, 7 khullar farms, mandi road, mehrauli, new delhi. On my visit to china i contacted matrix to provide me a sim card. They immediately send there representative to my house to hand over the sim against an advance payment of rs. 6000. I was impressed with the fast response. But when i saw my first bill of 5 days it was rs 5800 i was shoked and to my surprise out of total call charges about 4000 was for internet usage i immediately contacted matrix and i was told that you have to put the option of no internet connection in your cell phone as internet activation comes with the sim card. I thought its my fault so i made the full payment. But i got elerted. I decided to further check the bill. In the second bill i checked the call duration and to my surprise there were some calls in the bill which were wrongly charged for call durations. For example when i received a call from india thru my airtel connection and talked about 1.03 min my airtyel charged the call for 2 min. But matrix charged the same call for 3 min. I.E 01 minutes extra. I checked all my bills and to my surprise each bill was overcharged for about rs 500~600. I had already made payment of rs 10,000 out of rs 15816.92. And when i asked matrix cellular new delhi to recheck and send the corrected bill the send me a legal notice thru legal knights law firm stating 1-7 years imprisonment. When i talked to mr chandra shekhar of legal knights law firm and briefed him about the problem he said you send me the mails. Thatis mr chandra shekhar without going into the details send me the notice. In my opinion matrix should be banned in india and the degree of such lawyers should also be cancelled. I will fight against this because i still believe in indian law. Anuj verma

                                Hi,

I took the Matrix Cellular services for Mauritius from 29th Nov - 5th Dec at a plan of 999 where I was promised 10 minutes of calling back to India free of cost and an additional Sim card for my spouse (Free of Cost). I made sure that I did not go beyond 10 minutes of free calling and other than that there were a few local calls.
To my surprise they charged me 1578.59 on my Credit Card, I did not bother to talk to their Customer Support though I spoke to the Rep who gave me the connection and he promised me that extra money will be reverted (Which never happened).
To add to it, they again sent me another bill of 4036.92 and charged the same on my account. This is sheer cheating, just because they have the credit card details, they are charging whatever amount they want. Every time I speak to the Rep, he promises me that the refund will be done as it is their fault. He agrees that they did not activate the correct Plan on my number which is why I got charged on actuals.

                                My Matrix Number: 04237650

Kindly address this complaint and assist me in getting my dues.

                                Thanks!

                                Complaint marked as Resolved
                                To Matrix Cellular,
With reference to the above mentioned subject I would like to state that I had taken a Matrix mobile connection for Malaysia bearing the number : [protected]. With utmost shock and disgust I would like to mention that the bill which I received for the above mentioned number was for an exhorbitant amount of Rs. 34,839. On going through the entire bill I found out that I have been charged WRONGLY Rs. 32,300.23 as OTHER DATA charges (GPRS), for the services which I NEVER USED. And the more shocking was the amount of data usage which is 268380 KB. I would like to state that I NEVER EVER USED ANY GPRS SERVICE. And why would I use any GPRS SERVICE when my HOTEL was WI-FI enabled and on top of it I was on a vacation and had no time to use the internet services.
The most important thing is that since the day I inserted my Malaysian sim card I used to receive GPRS Messages every now and then which I never responded to. All the time I had been receiving GPRS messages on my mobile phone till my stay in MALAYSIA.
I never ever availed the GPRS services so how can MATRIX charge me for the services I never used.
And the most Illegal thing which has been done by MATRIX is that My CREDIT CARD has been debited Rs. 34,839 for a bill which has been wrongly generated. How can a service provider charge somebody on his/her credit card for services which have never been availed.
I urge you to kindly reverse the debited amount of Rs. 32,300.23 which has been charged for the services I never availed.
I have contacted the customer service many a times...But no response from them. The complaint number is:[protected].
I need help from Consumer Complaints forum.
A quick action in this regards woud be highly appreciated.

                                Thanking you.

                                Yours sincerely,
                                Kabir Goswami
                                Thanks for your Info...!!!

I have also once faced a similar situation Last week I went to Australia for 4 days on a business trip, and my bill was extremely inflated. I think that the money they spend on advertising is made by fleecing innocent customers like us. They are a bunch of robbers. I have had a relatively better experience with Clay Telecom

Name of the person who is commiting to me as changed. But the end result remains the same. I am not seeing anybody acted on this is so far. Its been six days (4 business days) since you committed but i dint get any cheque yet

I am going to copy paste the conversation in Customer complaints

                                Hi Bhupesh,

Thanks for your constant follow up.. my worry is.. no one address the below mail. you know what your executive in airport swipped my credit card and told about flat rent then i walked off saying i dont need the plan and i told her to credit the money back.. She said its blocked for 15 days i was still fine with that. Later she came to security clearance place and called to inform that she can provide Rs. 50 per day rent and the usage charge. However to my surprise i got the this bill, when i called the call centre no one was ready to understand.

You tell me what to do...

                                Regards,

I would like to report the unfair trade practices followed by "MATRIX Cellular International Services Pvt Ltd" to sell their international cellular service plans to customers based on false tariff / plan information provided by their sales representative.

Recently, i had to travel on business visit to USA for a month and subcribed to their international cellular service plan. This plan - "ATT30wh0911s12", was sold to me by their sales representative at the Hyderabad international airport. As per sales representative, this plan would charge me $30 USD for one month, would have a Rs199 setup fee and 300 free minutes of outgoing + incoming calls.

When the invoice was generated, i realized (to my horror) that
                                  a) the 300 free minutes did not include outgoing calls from US to india for which i was charged 89 cents per minute. WOW!
                                  b) the setup fee of Rs 199 was actually Rs 222 (based on setup fee o[censored]SD 3.50)
                                  c) the currency rate used for conversion was 56.82 (the current rate is 54.85). That's additional Rs 2 per dollar

I would request the concerned to investigate and prevent such unfair practices from being adopted
                                  Dear Mr. Kumar,

                                      Dear Sir/Mam,

I travelled to Singapore from 25th nov 2012 to 02nd dec 2012. So I needed a local a SIM card and data card during my visit in order to avoid any roaming charges on Indian card. My budget was around 2000 to 2500. And I came to know about a good local deals from matrix executives. A big mistake I heard to them!! A lady called Shivani came to my place. I informed her about my budget and she suggested me about this perfect plan according to her. The total bill of these two cards should not have been more than 5000 based on our discussion. But when I received the final bills, I was shocked to see it to be 52,000/-. Its not a joke unfortunately! This is ridiculous with the fact that the Internet and Telephone connections have become very cheap these days, this amount could give me unlimited internet/mobile service for at least a year anywhere in this world. When I called customer care, they started claiming about the itemised bill that they had. This is a perfect example of professional cheating.

The way they have created the itemized bill does not make any sense. Just like Savita has mentioned above, all that Customer Card has said that this is how it is charged and that I didn’t used budget dialing services. Why dint their exective tell me about it when I had confirmed with the executive that my budget was not more than 2500. I fail to understand their cryptic means of service. I refuse to pay for the extra charges and told them that as per my calculation I owe them not more than[protected].

When I just opened up the consumer complaint forum, I was not surprised to see so many complaints against matrix (www.matrix.in) products and their services.

This is my official consumer complaint. I am ready to share all the information with the Indian Consumer Complaint team.

Someone really needs to take some serious action again Matrix for exploiting the peope with the misuse of technology and by misleading the people with their services/plans.

                                        Hi

I am Ajeesh Damodaran, taken a matrix sim card (+[protected]) on sep 30 2012 at Cochin international air port Kerala. The customer executive Mr.Rajeev (91-[protected]) who was given the connection for me. When i took the connection he told me that it is prepaid connection and i have to pay only Rs 500 and will get free calls for Rs 500.He asked me the copy of my credit card and address proof and he told me the amount 500 i need to pay only after getting the bill.He told the credit card copy is only for security purpose and the company won't take the money from my credit card.

So i used the sim card four days in malaysia (Oct 01 2012 to Oct 04 2012). After one month i have received a bill and it mentioned that i need to pay rupees 3329.99 for the usage in Malyasia. When i called the matrix support at kochi (D C Johar & Sons Pvt Ltd, 3rdcfloor Noor trade Center, Market road Ernakulam , Cochin-682011) they were telling that this is a not prepaid connection and it is post paid only. But you will get a free calls for Rs 500 and there was a mistake in the bill generated. So i told the billing section executive this is cheating and i won't pay money for this incorrect bill. After 10 days later they withdrawn the money Rs.3330 from my credit card with out my permission.

Because of this reasons i have submitted a dispute form at my credit card provider and planning to move legally

                                        Regards
