I am yet another customer who is getting harassed by Matrix for fraudulent bill and now a threatening notice. I have been slammed with a Rs. 8713 bill for unknown usage. My CAF: M2492391, Connection No: [protected].
I took an international SIM last in the start of 2013 given to my Mr Atul Awasthi in Delhi and was charged a security amount of 5000 for one year telling me that all incoming in the specified 100 countries will be free and any outgoing will be charged as mentioned.

While I was abroad, I got a bill of few hundred rupees with no details o[censored]sage. As I do not hold a credit card and internet services are not available where I work it has not been possible for me to track or pay any outstanding. I could not use the SIM on regular basis as I had other better options available. Now when I arrive home in India, I got a notice of Rs. 8713 which was unthinkable as I hardly made any usage.
I wish to surrender the SIM and agree to pay any legitimate outstanding.

My friends are availing better services from other Cellular companies which are not such fraudulent. I have heard there is plethora of such cases of cheating against this company and they are ruthlessly extorting money from ignorant customers who travel abroad are not able to track their bills. Matrix team is absolutely irresponsible in this matter.

I wish to lodge a complain against Matrix, looking for a speedy resolution.

    To whomsoever it may concern,
    I wanted 2 international sim cards for Europe for my travel .i got the
    post paid sim cards from matrix .Rent of each sim was 500 +350(bonus
    o[censored]sing platinum credit card).Call charges were told to me₹30 per
    minute .to which my total talk time of a simcard was about 28 mins.I
    did not even use 20 mins of talk time .now your company has charged
    ₹2692 which is far more than the bill of ₹1250 which you guys told me
    would be charged.i want a strict action.please mail me my call records
    to prove your bill otherwise i am taking this matter to the court.

    My Uncle also got a matrix card and had amount deducted from his credit card automatically .But he never received bills on his billing address to check details and also is not aware of his CAF number,

    1) Can you tell me how to found these, The bill amount and the CAF number .

    2) Did you guys get CAF number and bills in your postal address ?

      Hi Sir, On July 31st, 2014, There is a transaction of Rs. 5000 on my credit card from Matrix Cellular. I already dropped a mail asking for Bill usage but I have not yet got any details on it. Also, I am trying to use http://www.selfcare.matrix.in/ for online checking. But the website itself is not opening. Just within 20 days I got a bill amount of Rs 7100/- which is very suspicious. The customer representatives of your company are fraudulent and not transparent. They told me that, I won't be getting any charge for incoming call in USA @Kolkata Airport. I rarely used this SIM for any outgoing call but mostly used for receiving calls from my USA office here. Please stop this dishonest practice and reply to my email.         mobile no[protected] challan no 581264 We have taken sim for Thailand from 24 06 2014 to 30 06 2014 for Thailand. The amount of bill is already been paid. While offering the service the person advisrd ro make a phone call after returning kolkata from airport and their people will collect the sim there. We had made the call accordingly and the person attended the call told that the sim will be collected from my residence in next 2 days. But they have not collected the same.I have made 3 calls to them to collect the same.Finally one person replied rudely and told what is your problem? we will collect it in due time.But after 2 months they are demanding Rs 350/- for the sim and not replying my emails properly. So I request people not to get in trap of matrix. Their aftersale service and behaviour is very bad.

          I have taken a card for my travel to dubai, after reaching dubai airport firstly i switched off the data connection from my mobile, switched off the phone, inserted the martix sim card and started the phone. As soon as i started the phone message came o[censored]nbilled amount Rs.10K, i call my family to check with the card provider what is the matter, they say we just provide card and take it back, you need to call to delhi office and get your details or email you query. What the heck is going i don't understand, then i removed the card and did'nt used it for 10 days, and after ten days when i again inserted the card again message came of Rs.15K unbilled amount. I am surprised as in have removed the card then how come the unbilled amount is Rs.15k. When email them for bill detials they replyed it will be generated on 10th Sep. and they rely on the service provider of dubai for the bill.

                REF:Matrix Mobile number: 96388452., SIM # : [protected], CAF#T[protected] I had been to Singapore for 7 days recently and took Matrix connection from Mumbai, India for calling and an add- on internet connection for 20 SGD(150MB free). For the entire duration of my stay, neither a single e-mail was checked or sent, nor any item was downloaded –in short the INTERNET SERVICE WAS NEVER USED EVEN FOR ONCE. When I came back to India, I found that Matrix Cellular has generated a bill of RS 1, 91, 214.(One lakh ninety one thousand two hundred and fourteen rupees ) As per the bill details, my call and sms charges was Rs 3117.82, which I completely agree to. But the rest of the amount (Rs 1, 78, 096) which Matrix Cellular has billed as data usage charges –I am absolutely clueless about, because internet service was not used at all. As a customer I felt I have been cheated in broad day light .The mere bill amount has caused me immense agony and anxiety. DO you really understand the value of the billed amount –with this amount a couple from India can visit and stay in Singapore for 7 days . I ask you to resolve the matter immediately, otherwise I will take this as a fraudulent intention on your part and I will be forced to move the Consumer Forum and other Legal aspects.                 We have checked your case with our billing team and validated that the bill is mainly high due to substantial data usages made (4.74 GB) by you. On checking we found as per the tariff, the free discount of data 500 Mbs was applied and you have been charged for the overage usages. Kindly be assured that the charges are in consonance with the tariff opted by you and same stands valid.                 My question to you is exactly the same. Where does this "Substantial Data Usage (4.74 GB)" come from - when i haven't used the Internet service for once for the entire duration of my stay in Singapore .!!!. So this is nothing but mere act of cheating. And then i get calls from your Customer Care - for how much i want to settle the Bill for . Is such settlement some kind of means for middle men to make money in the name of Matrix Cellular ? This kind of suggestion from your side is ample proof of extracting money from innocent people like me. This is akin to extortion. I will only pay for the Calls i had made (INR 3117.82 ) + 20 SGD i took the internet plan for ( things i really used - calling & SMSes), & not a single penny more. I would definitely write to your Sr Manager of Customer Care & CEO. Soon you will receive a letter from my Lawyer in this regard. I will also take this to TRAI & to Media & also to Social groups, to deter you from using such fraudulent means to any other people in future.                 Thanks for your comment & input. Rightly said. Matrix cellular has become a means of extortion to unassuming & un - suspecting customers. I think its high time we should pull ourselves up & take some legal step. We can also knock the door of TRAI. I'm planning to raise this issue in Social Media & to start a crusade against Matrix cellular. So pls don't pay. we all will fight it together. I;ve already got through my Cousin, an Advocate in High Court. He is legally taking care of this issue. Regards.

                  Dear Sir/Ma'am, I would like to bring to your notice my utter dissatisfaction and harassment caused by one of your employees in Pune Mr Abhijeet Patra. I had taken a Sim Card for Europe in the month of May, my number being +44 [protected]. I am sure you are used to getting complaints about inflated bills and I dont know what your company ethics are or how you handle these complaints but I had reported this problem to Mr Abhijeet Patra who was our agent. I even sent a copy of the detailed bills with the call charges being doubled as per the minutes and the basic cost also being charged 6000 as compared to Rs 600 which was told to us at the time of selling the sim. But my complaint is also about the agent who has been promising us since the month of June that he will get the extra money back and it shall be returned to us. After 2 months of his false assurances, he has been telling me since 3 weeks that a cheque in our name has come to him but he has not yet delivered it to us. He refuses that I make the effort of going to the matrix office as he would personally come and deliver it. today I took leave from my work and was promised by Mr Abhijeet that he will come and deliver the cheque. the day is over now and all I did was get messages from him saying that he is driving, or that he is in a meeting or that he will be coming to my house in an hour's time. I am extremely disgusted with his service and with the service he is providing for matrix. Either he tells us that the case is not in his hands and he cannot do anything to help us or he should not keep us hanging and waiting all day, when we took leave from our own jobs to sort out the matter our whole day was wasted. What kind of service is this? Is something wrong with your agents or is this how you treat people? I am so disgusted by Matrix and the agents in Pune and the over charged bill that 5 of our family friends from Koregaon Park have been abroad and have not taken Matrix after my advise. The international roaming on their normal mobile service providers are atleast honest and have decent forums to handle such issues. I will be going to the manager in the office and also complaining about Mr Abhijeet Patra, this is highly disgusting how we have been assured that he is coming to deliver the cheque week after week and not shown up.                   I had gone to China for a week and took Matrix sim card. For 2 hours of calling and few messges they charged me Rs12000 and told me thats my unbilled amount. After a week when i got my final bill it was Rs24000. Since months i have been writing to them that how can an unbilled amount of Rs12000 be doubled up to Rs24000. They keep explaining me there are charges n service taxes. This company is full of fraud. They write in my bill that i made 25 messages to a number when i know i never made those message. I want to take legal action againstt them.

                    executive Mr.Sunil Sevani ( m: [protected] ) has handed over sim on 15 / 05 / 14 at our Ahmedabad residence. We insert sim in our mobile & used it when we reached at Malaysia

                    We have received your bill ( Bill no : MLY3455090, Bill Date : 17/06/14 Name : Kishorchandra Sheth) with data usage charge of Rs 14, 685/- on 11/05/2014.

                    As we received SIM on 15/05/14 & used it on 20/05/14 onwards then how can usage charges of dated
                    11/05/14 came in my bill ????...

                    We have made complain of same to Mr. Sunil Sevani as we received bill. He has demanded our passport copy for confirmation. We have provided all data to him.After that he has given us assurance that it is by mistake & you do not have to worry & we will get change the bill.

                    After few days when we have not received revised bill we have started close follow up with him. But all the time he was giving answer that you do not have to worry & you don't have to pay the bill, we are talking with Malaysia telecom & they will revise the bill.

                    When we told Mr.Sunil that no of days has passed & you are not able to revise the bill then at lest you give request to our credit card company to not to deduct the charge. Then he told we have informed
                    your company. When we demanded Transaction Id for the same then he has also given us Transaction id.
                    By doing all these things he has passed almost 20 days. Now we received credit card statement with same charge with out any reversal. We have also talk with Customer Care of Credit Card. They told
                    we have not received any request for non deduction of any amount from Matrix so you have to pay..

                      I have been to Dubai for a 7 days and I was on Wifi all the while. The amount they billed me for data exceeded 10k and they dont have an answer around it. Guys please be prepared to get conned if you are taking Matrix Cellular. They are the biggest Frauds. They sent a bill of 21 k and since they have credit card details they have charged my card and are not even acknowledging the complaint. HariOm and Amardeep Kalra promised to resolve and at the end of it they just said that we cant do anything. Hands are tied.

                        This is with regards to billing for Matrix No. [protected] The bill is attached for your reference I had taken this number for travel to Europe with Make My Trip from the 03 Jun 2014 to 15 Jun 2014 That entailed travel through Italy, Austria, Switzerland Germany and Belgium. While on the trip i had used the phone to make a few outgoing calls and received some incoming calls. As has been correctly reflected in the bills the calls were made from Italy, austria, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium. At the same time there have been a huge lot of data usage reflected in the bill from Czech Republic. I have not made these usages at all. Firstly i had not even activated the username password that needed to be done as was SMSed to me from Matrix. Attached is a screen shot of the SMS received that reads "To use internet please ensure below Internet settings are updated in your phone" which were never updated.Secondly as is obvious, i was never in Czech Republic during the period. The SIM could not have been at two places at the same time. There has been a serious billing error and a huge bill has been sent to me and automatically deducted from my credit card. I am deeply disturbed from this total lack of credibility in billing and it has reaffirmed the fear that my colleagues warned me before i took Matrix for this trip that Matrix is famous for its faulty billing.                           i took sim card no[protected] from there company from 1/6/2014-6/6/2014 When i took the sim card i specifically told them that i do not want sim card for data i only need it for calling purpose which they are also accepting. Now after one month i recived a mail from them on 4/7/2014 and sms from there company that i have to pay them a bill for rs 18970 and last data of payemnt is 30.6.2014. Firstly to my surprise this bill was not at all possible so i checked the bill detail sent by them which informs me that all the bill is for huge data /internet which i used on my mobile as soon as i reached my destination dubai at 11:00 am that is the exact time when i was supposed to reach dubai and switch on my mobile phone. they accept that they knew prior to giving me the connection that data transfer will be active on my mobile but there custoemer person says they might have forgot to tell me this in first place. pls find bill attached and look into the matter how this compnay is cheating us customers through there mal practices i have written to there higher authorities as well but they are not providing proper response or reply they just say i have to pay this money even though they are fully aware that in all this there is no fault of mine. Now they are even harassing me mentally for the payemnt of this bill and threatning me to use legal action against me even though i have told them if they make proper bill and i am ready to pay the charges for services i have used but not for services which i havent. pls HELP as they think they are above the law and they can cheat customers with there fraudulant behaviour and practices.

                          your customer care person also says that this is common problem with your company when your companyy knows that gprs is pre-activated why was i now informed about it in first place.

                            I Mrs. Suseela Rajan has availed the matrix cellular facility when we travelled to Europe. Our tour was arranged by Makemytrip, who at the last moment introduced me to one Mr Devesh, business development executive. He sent his rep to my home one day before my travel and explained about his offer. He advised me to take two sets of sim cards which is a scheme for Rs 999/- while you will get a free hand set for use and Rs 300/- exempted for the total calls.All incoming calls will be free for Global & UK/Eastern Europe. We came back on 24 May 2014 and advised Matrix to collect the sim cards & hand set so that we should not be held irresponsible. I sent an e-mail to matrix regarding this. However, they sent their representative on 27 May and collected your gadgets. It was followed by a number e-mails informing that your bill has been generated. if you don't pay immediately you will have to pay a fine etc. i do not understand why all these mails when you have been authorized to recover the money from the credit card which they did ultimately. Meanwhile, they sent an assessment form to be filled, which I found was too early to be called for. I did not give my comments and waited for the bills. I was not convinced by the bills.When I complained, they immediately debited the amount from my credit card. A computer generated reply was sent to me informing that their support service is looking into the matter. No one seems to be in action after that. I contacted the local reps Mr.Devesh, business development executive, Navi Mumbai and he told me that he is busy without work and could not reach me. He is a well trained & brainwashed executive by your company who has been taught with some human related phrases and words by calling all stupid people by sir while not recognizing the real "sir" customers. My complaints have been sent to your support services and copy to Mr Devesh. He seems to be a short term business developer. He did not have the courtesy to call an esteemed customer and enquire what his problem was, instead he kept on avoiding and asked the customer to remind him at so and so time. My question is mine a very trivial matter nevertheless, being a reputed company why do you earn bad names due to the undesired attitudes of these little guys. I am a 61 year old retired Navy personnel and I believe in discipline, timing and above all commitments. This guy, Devesh will make the worst employee in ur crow, you take it from me being an experienced senior manager. Good luck.

                              Hi, I wish to complain against Matrix cellular. I was in Singapore for 4 days and these guys have generated a bill against my usage for Rs. 7526! Almost all call logs are false. For e.g. if i made a call to a number for 1 minute it is shown as 7 minutes. A 10 minute call is shown as 33 minutes!! And what's more, all calls have ended without any extra seconds..i.e. all call durations are whole numbers, 22:00, 33:00, 5:00, 7:00, etc. Clearly shows that this is a fake bill. I wish to complain against this and look for a speedy resolution. Rajat

                              This is amazing now. No resolution provided and Matrix has now gone ahead and billed my credit card with the said amount without my consent!!! What kind of a fraud is this?!
                              I am going to make sure nobody in my known circle and even my blog readers ever chose matrix cards.
                              This company is fraud and should be taken a legal action and government should band these types of company I have also been fooled like you bro i have made several complains to delhi and kolkata branch but no body is responding. They have a gateway facility so they take payments from customers account and cheat them.

                              2 calls made to the same number, notice the time of the call and the duration of the calls

                              14/05/14 23:09:56 9199xxxxxx60 International V019 Call India 00:11:00

                              So they mean to say that I made a call to this number at 23:09 and talked for 11 minutes, i.e. till 23:20 but in between I again called up this number at 23:15 and talked for another 9 minutes :)

                              This is how they cheat customers.
                              THIS COMPANY IS FRAUS AND THIS MR TUSHAR AGGARWAL IS SOME NORMAL CUSTOEMR CARE EXECUTIVE YOU MAKES FALSE COMMITMENTS AND INFORMATIONS SOEM STRICY ACTION SHOUDL BE TAKEN AGAINST THIS MATIX CELLULAR SERVICE THEY ARE OPENLY CHEATING CUSTOMERS
                              There is abundant evidence showing that Matrix Cellular is a fraud company. They are cheating customers by every possible manner.
                              I am also a victim of fraud, cheating and criminal breach of trust by Matrix. They have raised a bogus bill of more than Rs 7000/- whereas I have not made a single call using their SIM and there was no data usage as mobile data was always switched off.
                              They are misusing technology for making unlawful gains from innocent consumers. A thorough investigation must be conducted by a specialized government agency and strict action taken so that they can be prevented from defrauding more customers.

                                We had taken a connection (calling & data) for USA (No. [protected]) on a contract of 2 years, contract ending on 8th September 2013. Bills were paid regularly till the last two billing cycles, when inappropriate bills were being served. On each bill generation date they were charging us actual usage for the previous billing cycle and advance (voice rental + data pack + sms pack) for the next billing cycle. Ok fine. They charged us for a full billing cycle (voice rental + data pack + sms pack... 80USD) for usage of only 2 days. It was after many emails and calls at customer support they charged (voice rental) on pro-rate for 2 days. In rentals, customer for a few days and customer on a 2 year contract put on equal standing ! Moreover, in the last billing cycle of 07 Sept 13 – 06 Oct 13 (bill generated on 10th October 2013 ) Matrix again presented us with the advances for the next billing cycle that means billing cycle of 07 October - 06 November. Point to note is that the contract has expired on 08 September. We have reported this many times through email and calls on customer care but only reply to hear is about the ledger and the numbers generated in the bills. Shouldn't someone at Matrix care to understand the issue before sending the pending invoices and payment reminder on phones and emails. We are ready of pay the bill and would not like to spend unnecessary time on the issue.                                   No body in the complete Matrix organization hierarchy is acknowledging my email regarding the dispute from last one year.

                                  The mail chain is going from last 1 year, customer has been continually informing that no payment from the customer side is pending !!

                                  The costumer and his family is contentiously being harassed by Matrix. I am replying to every reminder and every letter received and telling the same story every now and then.

                                  No Body from the Matrix is understanding the customers point of view and is sending letter and reminders for the legal action !!

                                  I am tax payer of the nation and is not doing any thing which is illegal. My bank tells me that complete payment has been made to matrix and has even provided the reference number (Transaction Approval quote number as : 873464.) Now what customer is being asked for the extra amount?


                                  The records in matrix database need to be updated. I have already spoken to my bank and has been informed that complete payment to Matrix has been made.!

                                  Its not a issue with payment extra to matrix I can pay double of the amount but the inconvenience that you are causing to a customer and his family is highly not appreciated, if it continues I will specially recommend my company not to continue any relation ship with MATRIX in any international Travel !!

                                  I have already shared my concern to the operation's head email id, Nodal officer's id.

                                  Guys If you are travelling to UK use Lyca, Lebara sim card.

                                    Hi I have used Matrix simcard for UAE. Please highly recommended please do not buy the card from India. You get local simcard at the Airport with life time activation. What Matrix does is will apply you the standard rates o[censored]AE or any other country and on top of that will apply Service tax on overall bill amount which increases the bill amount to extra 12.36% plus the exchange rate that they apply is always higher than the market. The bill that is generated is always higher than what calls you have made plus the initial offers that you get by buying the card from UAE or any other country is better related to the Data & other plans that Matrix offers. Please which ever country you go, you will get simcards at the airport only which is way cheaper than what Matrix provides, and the service is also bad with Matrix. Please do not buy Matrix cards.

                                      My husband and i were travelling to HongKong for a vacation and we opted for a Matrix Sim Card. We had absolutely no issues, specially being a pre paid, recharging it when we wanted ensured we didn’t have a big fat bill like everyone else always complains of. Not only this, their network coverage and data transmission was really good.

                                        Incorrect Invoicing is done. Roaming charges are added wrongly. Invoice payment is done by reducing the roaming charges. Payment receipt is received, though system is my account as a 'Overdue' account. Please do the needful, as I am trying to contact the agent since 4 months, and request is still OPEN without any action.
