I had been to italy and france with family on vacation for 15 days. i bought italy matrix prepaid sim card(plan was rs.3099 500min voice free and 1gb data, i took it because of data plan so that i can use it for navigation, directions and local transport details on gmaps)from bangalore airport(as most of the time i was travelling in italy).
Sales person took passport copy, application form filled with signature.
Sales person said its activated use when you are in italy, i switched in mobile in rome italy, my phone did not get signal( i tried manual selection or auto selection different carrier, did not work).
Surprisingly there was no toll free number to call to customer care and you have to call india number(internal number for customer support) and they dont respond for 25mins of waiting on internal call(pathetic support)

I somehow managed to get to hotel where i got wifi support(whole purpose of sim card has gone for toss) and contacted friend of mine to help contacting india matrix customer care number(he tried 4-5 times waited for 25-30mins on call to talk to customer care person).got to know from customer care that my number was not active in the first place. after activation it started working and after 10days of my trip again connection lost and i dont have any means to contact matrix customer care as its india number(this time i was looking for navigation and direction from matrix sim card).

When you are on vacation and using sim card for data, navigation and direction purpose. if network provider fails to provide is not a good state to be.

Since the day i bought sim card and contacted customer care, they did not contact me on service they provided nor an e-mail on difficulty faced due to matrix support system.


I am looking for refund of the money.

    I had purchased a sim card for usa from matrix representative mr. Krunal valand for account code no. 106884. The sim card was supposed to work from 14th may to 30th may. However, when i landed in us on 16th may, i found the sim was not working. I had immediately informed mr. Krunal about this. There had been repeated communications between my side and matrix representatives, one of which was mr. Krunal and the other was a tech service gentleman who was calling from delhi.In spite of repeated requests, they were not able to activate my sim card. Since i was with my family and we were in desperate need of a means of communication, i had to purchase a local sim card in us, after facing a lot of difficulty, which i did on 17th. Immediately after purchase, i had sent an sms to mr. Krunal (17th may us time, 18th may ist) asking him to cancel the non-functional matrix sim card so that i was not charged for it.

    To my great disgust and dismay, i have now received a bill from matrix for the amount of 3057/-. I have not received any apology from your side for
    1. Services that matrix failed to provide.
    2.Innumerable hardships that i had to face without a means of communication with my family members in a foreign country
    3. Anxiety and mental anguish that the company caused to all o[censored]s.
    4. Trouble that i had to go through to get a local usa sim card which required a us id to be activated. I had to call up a local friend and ask him to provide his credit card details to the company so that my simcard (Lykamobile) could be activated.

    Needless to say, i am extremely dissatisfied with your services. I expect you to:
    1. Cancel the bill with immediate effect.
    2. Tender an apology for the poor services given by your company and the needless hardships and anguish that i and my family members had to experience as a result.

    Failing this, i will be resorting to strong remedial action.

    More than a week since my complaint. Matrix has not responded to it. In fact they have gone ahead and deducted the bill amount from my credit card (they take pre-authorisation on the credit card before they give you the sim). Thoroughly disgusted with the fraud!!

      Alteast have some trained professionals in your company, not just bugging scripted bunch of fools saying same stuff again and again, the extra 4000₹ charged from me i give you as charity, but trust me soon your company is gona be shut, as you are the worst service provider, the fakest company fooling people globally and rather being apologetic you guys at like dons, a genuine advise atleast recruit people with telecom background!
      Girls repeating same stuff will not gonna help you.people should file a mental harassment case aginst you and them.such a pain you guys are!

      We had bought Thai currency from matrix along with 2 sim cards saying only usage charges would be payable . Now when bill is generated company charges usage for one sim and all rental and setup charges for other . Company representative is now denying any such commitment. Seems company culture is like that.

        Having a terrible experience with Matrix. I had taken Matrix postpaid sim while going to Africa last November. The call charges seemed decent and I made few calls to India to stay within limits of the free minutes. When I received the bill I saw they are charging me for dialing some UK number. I called/mailed customer care to correct the bill but all I got to know is that those numbers were dialed from my phone which is impossible, and I will have to pay the entire amount. I am more than willing to clear my unpaid dues but can't pay fraud bill amounts. Please advice what should be my next steps.

          Recently we went to Europe on 29th April 2016 and were promised a plan by Mr. Gaurav Bhardwaj, their representative to be able to use the data plan in Netherlands, belgium, Switzerland as well as France. In Netherlands the plan and data worked. However once we reached Belgium the data stopped working. We sent a mail to them on 3rd May but got a reply from them only on 6th of May by which we were gone. We were promised 3 gb but we managed to use only 200 mB. we have still been charged for using data. Moreover We have been debited twice by them. We have not received the bill the second time we were debited. I just want the money back for the services not given by them but paid by me and a detailed bill.

            My Name is Shashank Gupta and I'm complaining about the Matrix Cellular Employee.
            I've given the credit card details at the time of purchasing the sim to charge the amount from the Card as the norm of the Matrix Company. The company is charging more amount as stated and the employee of the company Ms. Ghazal Siddiqui has no sense of talking to a customer. She is calling me as well as other family numbers and talking all rubbish with them, insulting them and cursing them. This is totally not acceptable. First of all charging extra from promised and misbehaving from the family member that too my mother. When I asked her to apologise, she said now I've talked to mother, if not paid, I'll call other family numbers as well.
            I want to register the complaint and if not fulfilled by the company, I'll take this matter to consumer forum.

              My parents while coming to USA, called up matrix kolkata to get a unlimited pre-paid sim.

              Some lady came for the delivery. My parents were given a sim with number[protected].

              My parents were very specific that they needed unlimited plan for three months in usa.

              The lady gave them a sim card saying " My parents need to give 6000 rupees as deposit, from which a certain amount will be deducted each month for the plan and rest will be returned when they return the phone to them when they come back."

              And the lady also said that My parents would get text message of their deducted amount and how much is left on their balance of 6000 rupees every month.

              They did not receive anything like that in text and when I was checking my father's email, I saw that matrix has sent a whooping 28000 rupees (approx.) as a bill for three months.

              I asked for the call history and they sent 1 months call history.

              I do not understand how in a unlimited call plan, one is charged for calls and ultimately one receives a bill of 28000 rupees.

              Has matrix stooped down to such low level that they are trying to con senior citizens because they are not that up to date with these kind of things?

              If you donot rectify this ASAP, I will be pressing legal action against matrix.

              And not to mention I will make sure this thing goes on all the news papers and social media.

              My parents called up the matrix office in kolkata to send the paperwork that matrix and my mother has agreed upon, last week, and they have not send anything yet and have not done anything other than just sending the bill of 36000

                Hi,

                I bought the SIM card(No-[protected]) from Indra Gandhi international airport Delhi on 23 May 2016,

                Broker told me that it has 30 days India calling free but after 12 Days i am unable to call in India,

                I have called several times to customer care and i got the answer that your issue will be resolved within 20 minutes but after two days the issue is same,

                please look as i have to make calls to India urgently.

                  My husband and I bought 2 matrix sims while leaving on a vacation for mauritius on 28th April for one week. As soon as we were back, we returned the sim cards to matrix. When the bill invoice was sent, we faced a lot of issues because o[censored]nnecessary charges applied. Though some amount was credited back to credit card.                   But, guess what, on 9th June, we again got the bill invoice saying that the rentals for May month have to be paid, which is total of around 1200 INR. We don't even have the sim cards, how can we use it?? and how can they send such bill again.

                  Now again, matrix would auto-debit from our credit card. If you have our credit card auto-debit authorization, does that mean you will keep on auto-debiting whenever you wish to??

                    I bough a matrix Card was bought on 13th may night from Delhi International Airport while travelling to South Africa for 9 days I informed matrix personnel that i will travel for one whole day till 14th night to reach my destination in South Africa and I will be in South Africa till 23rd morning and want a minimal plan, just to remain connected. He offered approx ZAR 599 plan as cheapest, though I found it quite expensive for just 9 days, but then I was in a hurry, as every passenger to catch the flight. I signed some papers quickly with full trust on matrix, as i have used them earlier too.

                    I realized that matrix employee has committed a fraud by changing plan to highest category as he fully knew that i will not connect for quite some time, when i checked my mail on hotel wi-fi. I found an e-mail from matrix asking me to accept a plan of ZAR 899. I rejected the agreement immediately. I received an SMS that card will be blocked within 24 hours.

                    Now the chase by Matrix began. Almost everyday, i received mail from matrix for me to conform the agreement, as if i had committed a mistake. I rejected it every-time. Also, i wrote a mail to the support team.

                    Finally, matrix staff Rashi Sharma accepted the mistake and wrote to me on 20th may that my plan has been changed to ZAR 599. I rejected any offer by Matrix now, quite harassed by the experience. I was supposed to fly back on 23rd May morning from Cape Town. It was of no use then to have a number. I had already suffered the lack of communication for good 6 days out of 9 that i had in South Africa, courtesy MATRIX and loss of business back home.

                    Matrix claims that they have settled my case as the plan was changed to ZAR 599. Now they have raised a bill with innumerable additional charges never informed.

                    I see that matrix works by deception and cheating its customers and has trained its employees well in this art. I refuse to pay any bill and instead seek compensation for loss & harassment.

                    I have taken the case in social media and will take it to consumer court seeking a compensation of ZAR 100000 with a week, if not settled.

                    Will also complain to telecom authorities to shut the company immediately for committing fraud on multiple travelers like me.

                      Biggest mistake of my life choosing matrix.
                      False random messeges charges applied on the bill.
                      Charged for local country calling informing its free.
                      Charged for calling on landline number informing it is free.
                      The fakest and the worst company ever, misguiding the customers providing false package information and no one tries to resolve it.being charged 9100₹ in place of 5000₹.worst customer support i ever dealt with, no call backs, putting calls on hold for 10mins and not reverting.

                      Got 300 min local and international calling free and 1 GB data of which i didn't consume much, and i have been charged for the local calling i.e calling from turkey to turkey or greece to greece i have also been charged for calling on indian landline and also for some random messages which i never sent from my phone and have no idea of whome those numbers belonged to, the sim card provider was nitin who gave me all the wrong information about this plan.now i have been charged 9100₹ in place of 4999₹ plus taxes.

                        We went to Australia in the year 2015 and took a matrix prepaid sim which was worth Rs 1499. We were told that in this plan that the incoming were free and we could daily make outgoing calls for 30 minutes. If the call duration exceeds 30 minutes per day only then we will be charged. Thus, everyday we made calls which were less than 30 minutes, and i have the proof for the same.

                        We received a bill of Rs 9082 on our return whereas it should have been Rs 1499 plus taxes. I was very angry and immediately blocked my credit card but by them they had already deducted Rs 5000 wrongly.

                        Therefore, with this complaint i want to bring out the truth about matrix and what a fraud this company is. I want a refund which will be Rs[protected]+taxes), and want matrix to stop these legal notices otherwise i will have to take concrete legal actions against the company.

                          I have bought a sim from matrix delhi airport. They charged me 2410 rs for free incoming calls 100 mins outgoing calls and 100 mb data free. But the sim was not even used once.. I have dropped them complaints throught mails but to no response.. They are doing fraud for charging such a big amount and still not giving us services.. They are a bunch of sitting at customer care center. They have given a number for india to call but when sim is not working how can you call them..

                            I had purchased a matrix prepaid sim for my trip to usa and my number was [protected]. As per the terms and condition i was to get unlimited data with 500 mb being at 3g speed and the balance being at 128 kpbs.In addition i was to get unlimited sms apart from 1000 min india calling and unlimited incoming and outgoing within usa. Throughout my trip i did not get 3g speed for data and the data rate was so poor that i could not use any app. Even a simple app like uber did not function and i was severely handicapped in ordering uber for my local transportation.In addition throughout the trip i did not receive any incoming sms.                             We truly regret the inconvenience caused to you and do understand the gravity of the situation.

                            We would like to apprise you that due to a technical glitch at the network operator's end, the SMS services have been affected which has rendered the service to be completely or partially non-functional.

                            The issue has already been raised with the network operator and our technical team is in continuous follow up with them. As per our parent operator, the text feature may remain affected for some more time while they seek to resolve this. Unfortunately, at present we do not have a resolution turn around to this problem that has arisen.

                            Aside to this, we hope all the other services of the SIM card are working fine for you. If you are facing trouble with any other functionality of the sim card, we would request you to let us know immediately for enabling us to address it for you.

                            We anticipate your patience and understanding in this regard and value your business and association with Matrix as always.

                            I am facing the same problem ...no incoming text and emails...I cannot download the uber app as cannot receive the text message from them to verify mobile no...it's very inconvenient and expensive to call for regular cabs. Will matrix pay the difference!!! Should have never bought matrix :(
                            Tele no USA [protected] bought from mr raj pandey who reassured me that he would take immediate action in case of any problem..but despite several messages and calls no help...just ignores all the what's app sent to him ...terrible service ...
                            Last year I bought Xim card and had no problems ...don't know why I changed :(

                              This is regarding service provided by Matrix Cellular (International) Services Ltd. 7 Khullar Farms, Mandi road Mehrauli, New Delhi- 110030. I opted 7 days rental plan on Matrix international postpaid sim for my Indonesia visit. At time of sale, I have been told that I would be getting daily 15 mins free calls to India & local Indonesia. Same information was mentioned by them in body of their service confirmation email. As per opted plan, in the end of service, I was expecting bill of max Rs. 3000 inclusive of all taxes. But Matrix billed me for Rs. 14205.34. After following up with them, they said that to avail free calls to India, I was supposed to prefix Indian number with some budget code. Since I didn’t prefixed it I have been charged with international call rates instead of free call rates. My concerns are- 1) Sales executive did not mentioned same while making sale. 2) Provided such customer beneficial information was having some conditions applied to it, it was not mentioned in main body of confirmation email neither has *(conditions applied) in front of it so that I would have understood that it’s having certain conditions associated to it. 3) They have mentioned free services by name as budget, that too in 6th point of their terms & conditions attachment in email. Which is also a difficult term to be understood by a layman person (a consumer). On account of above mentioned items I have been misguided by Matrix leading to generate bill of such a huge amount which they are now asking me to pay. Considering it might be human error that sales executive missed to mention this information while making sale, but it has to there in email body AS PER STANDARDS or in a layman understandable format. Matrix is doing their business by misguiding their customers by hiding such customer beneficial info & generating bills with huge amount, which they are then enforcing customers to pay.

                                My daughter had taken a sim for usa - 10 days plan on the 17th of may. She has been in usa since the 18th of may, till today her sim has not worked.
                                I have been calling the agent, kalpesh ([protected]) who got me the sim, but to no avail.

                                Request you to please arrange for a refund of the sim card. I paid rs 3, 500/- for the same.

                                Please let me know the proceedure for the same.

                                  I took a Matrix Pre Paid card on 30th April 2016 for travel in Europe from 5th to 15th May. Was in Denmark & Germany. God bless them. They have a very bad service. I could ring outside numbers but could not ring up the local sim carried by my wife. Nor could the local sim call my number though in both countries we were using a local sim for calling back to India. The matrix people just kept sending messages: Valued(What a joke) Customer our technical team informs that your issue is now resolved. I kept sending them mails that the issue is not resolved but other than calling me up that we are sorting it out or that it will soon be sorted out or then sending me messages that the issue is resolved, Matrix did nothing about it.

                                  i bought an unlimited plan for INR 1999/- but they have raised a wrong bill of INR 6004. I raised an objection but they still charged my Credit Card.

                                    My husband and I bought matrix sim while leaving on a vacation for mauritius. According to the sales person, the tariff fee of Rs.300 would be auto-debited from the credit card after our trip ends. When we came back, around 2000 were auto-debited from our credit card of which around 1600 were of data plan service. We were even unaware of any such service activated on our sim, neither we utilized it.

                                    We have been reaching out to the support desk of matrix but all in vain.

                                    We had taken the sim cards for one week, and we had even returned those as soon as we were back. But guess what? Again, we have received the rentals for May month.

                                    If we have even returned the sim cards, how can bill be issued for it?? If you have our credit card auto-debit details, does that mean you will keep on debiting whenever you wish to?

                                      I got their sim with 10 day usa package worth 49.99
                                      My trip was from 18th to 27th and 29th early morning 2am was the landing day back in bengaluru.
                                      So, effectively i was on foreign land for exactly 10days.
                                      In the bill they included 12 days and they charged ($10.00 + surcharge+ tax) for 2 additional days on pro-rata basis. This was not informed when it was purchased in airport and i needed only for 10days as i selected 10 day package.
                                      Also sim was not used for more than 10days. This is evident from the itemized bill. But they charged for 12days. This is shocking. When i escalated, mr shashak, nodal officer in bengaluru mentioned that bill can not be reversed as its on pro-rata basis and it seems i had entered trip duration as from 18th to 29th. I had entered this including the return day.

                                      Also i got unnecessarily charged for many suspicious incoming local sms.
                                      From their itemized bill, it seems, the sim received incoming sms as soon as i land in foreign land, almost 18 of them from same number at same minute.
                                      However my phone handset never received any of these sms in the itemized bill. This looks very suspicious since i did not share my matrix number with anyone and how can i get so many sms at same minute as soon as i land. They charged around usd 5.5 + surcharge + tax on all these and i was shocked again to see this unnecessary charge on many sms
                                      Again nodal officer mentioned they can not reverse this as these are genuine sms as per their automated billing platform.
                                      I have never received these sms and my handset never recorded any of these sms.
                                      I need right billing for 10 day 49.99 package and unnecessary billing on sms must be reversed

                                      Mr. Shashank has shared the customer agreement form which has been duly signed by you. The trip dates are explicitly mentioned in it and has been charged to you accordingly.

                                      Further, the bill is absolutely in consonance with the usages made by you. It has been raised through the reliable billing platform of the network partner and there is no possibility of inaccuracy there. As per your itemized bill, it shows the date, time, description, duration and amount which was made by your connection, while the SIM card was under your possession. We assure you that all the charges reflecting in the bill are valid and genuine.

                                      At the outset, please be assured that Matrix will never charge you for the services that have not been rendered to you from our end.

                                      Hence, we regret to inform you that we won't be able to make any changes in the bill.

                                      Do you show me statement about pro-rata concept in your agreement form?
                                      Also this was not explained by your sales during purchase of the 10 day plan. can you provide any proof about pro-rata concept explained in the CAF?
                                      Also I had shared my mail id in the CAF, why your platform did not mail me about the plan details?

                                      Also can you show me statement saying trip dates would mean SIM usage requirements?
                                      I had duly filled trip dates including my return date back to India. Also I had shared trip itinerary to the sales person; why did he not put 10 days as itinerary explains everything about the stay?

                                      Have a look at the SIM usage details. Its exactly used for 10days as I was never there on foreign land beyond 10days. how can you price for 12 days when I was not there beyond 10 days?
                                      Purchased plan was for 10 days. Nothing beyond that. So, pls revert the charges. Don't cheat your customer so openly.

                                      As per your itemized bill, it shows the date, time, description, duration and amount. From this itself I came to know that there are spurious 18 SMS to the new Matrix SIM as soon as I land in foreign land. All these are at the same minute of the hr. Can you imagine some one collecting my matrix number as soon as I land and sending those many SMS and that too I do not have any record of receiving any of them.
                                      Can I openly say that this is cheating by Matrix by sending spurious SMS and charging customers for all the incoming SMS??

                                      Pls revert the amount charged. Mr. Ashish, pls do not cheat your customers and inform your colleague Shashank as well.
                                      Pls educate your sales people to inform about pro-rata concept to all customers.
                                      Also pls do not send spurious SMS to new customers and charge them for all these SMS.

                                      This a similar pattern concocted by matrix deliberately. Even I have been charged for data I have not used. The moment I landed on foreign land the itemized bill shows data usage. That means i got out of the plane, cleared my immigration, collected my baggage, exchanged cash to foreign exchange and caught the taxi after pushing my trolly, all this while I was browsing the internet? Also I had taken unlimited plan and then the charge me Rs 50, 000 for using half GB extra, saying that my plan was for 3 GB, again no intimation was sent via email, notifying the customer about when the plan has got exhausted. All this is pre planned brother, no use of beating your head against the wall. All their replies are the same manner, saying that you have signed the agreement. Who know what is written in the such fine print behind the agreement form. The main culprits are the sales people who deliberately misguide and give false information, again, these people are trained to give false info to the customers. Some one should stand up and fight against these scammers and teach them a lesson. These people are filing case in bulk, like in hundreds, against their customers to extort money.
                                      You have been talking in a very polite manner I must say. Its good you did not give your credit card details to them or else they would have swiped thousands of rupees from your account. All of us should make youtube videos to exposes these frauds. The irony is that thousands of employees know that they are earning their salaries from the extorted money from customers. These people are shameless too as they also are supporting a crime and are criminals too.

                                        I with my wife visited singapore &malaysia w.E.F. 3-11 april 2016. While we were on the way for check-in person sold us 4 sims.But they did not work
                                        In foreign. I had to pay heavy amount on calls from landline, relatives could not contact us.
                                        Now they are demanding 4 sims but not providing proper address.
                                        Secondly they are not clearing whether they will charge or not
                                        3rdly 2 sms has come tome about deducting 7-800 rs from my credit card, i do not know how they come to know my card no.
