I booked honeymoon package for Mauritius from Yatra.com but i dont know some how Matrix got this information and they start continuously calling me for SIM. His name is Deepak Sharma- [protected]. He called me and told that the incoming call is free and you will get a talktime of 300 value in 300rs. He hide all the charges from me.
The matrix executive visited my house to sell the card and explained me that there is huge charges for data so please keep data off(He was nice person).

However they generated the bill with call charge of rs. 150 per min.
and bill of 2900 was generated which is increased to 9000rs in one month(GREAT MAN).

Any calling rate wasn't explained to us by their executive at the time of selling the number. Otherwise i never took the SIM and not to refer anyone.

I request you to please take strict action against them.

    Hi my name is atul singh and my matrix sim card number is +[protected] and [protected].

    I had never thought that my experience with such a brand will turn into a nightmare and i will have to send this email to you. However, i want to bring this matter to your attention so that you are aware how exactly your employees are selling the product.

    Issue: i had a flight to malaysia on 13th mar 16, one of the matrix representaive at igi delhi airport sold me a sim card with the wrong informaiton. He said that, i will be charged in total inr600 for both the sim and will get inr100 talk time on each card. However i have been bill to inr 3782.5 + inr 383.44. Incorrect informaiton given to me are as follows:

    1. I was told that amount will be charge on the day of retrun, which was 18th mar16, and they have charged my credit card today(20th april 20, 2016) more than 1 month.
    2. The agent told me that nothing extra will be charged, however the amount is 3 times extra than the promissed amount.
    3. I was not told that i will have to hand over the sim card after retrun to delhi, no office details where given, but i got a email from the matrix stating that i will have to return the sim, why all this information wsa not given to me at the airport.

    This is a fruad and i will take a legal action against it because i do not want this to be happene with other people. Moreover, the money is not that important, but i want that the agent who was at fault should accept it and make an apology.
    I would also suggest matrix team to personally visit to the airport for an audit.

    Could you please share written documents that was given to me at the airport with all the information that you have claimed to be true.

    I strongly disagree that your employee ever given all this information to at the airport.

    Why don't you accept your fault and agree that you have opened a fraudulent company who only cheat people.

As per our records, we have sent you a confirmation mail which had all the information related to your account comprising Tariff plan / MOP details / Trip dates / Mobile number / Customer Agreement Form.       I was travelling for work related stuff to china and got an international sim card from matrix. I wasn’t too sure if i really wanted to use it but nevertheless carried it with me, since it was more or less compulsory. I actually landed up using that sim card throughout my stay there and was pretty surprised with their connectivity and their customer services who were available at odd hours as well. It was a good surprise! Thumbs up!

        Someone has to take action against Matrix cellular .

        I had taken 2 sim from them with certain plan costing Rs 1500 approx .
        But they had charged me more then Rs 5500 .Even though i had not expended more then given Plan .

        So i will suggest all user not to buy Matrix card .

          During my international travel from Kolkata to Thailand I had taken post paid Sims of Matrix cellular service from Kolkata International Airport with activation effective from 28th January 2016 to 4thFebruary 2016.

          The Matrix representative at Airport told us about the attractive offer of their service when i told him about our requirement for only calling usage. As i had gone with my husband and my minor two children.
          The emphasis made by the matrix representative mentioned was only the two offers ie,
          1) Local calls between the Sims will be free,
          2) International Call to India will be charged with Rs 30/- per minute.

          The above two offers were so attractive and we were very happy to take the service.
          There was no agreement on data usage neither we discussed on it as the intention was very clear that; one, I had no use of it and even if required that will be with the free Wi-Fi from the hotel facility.

          When I returned on 4thfeb. 2016 at Kolkata I returned your sim and when I asked about the bill, it was conveyed by your representative that it would be sent through Email later.
          But the horrific scenario started by the series text messages of huge amount of bills.
          On 15thFebruary ’16 a sum of Rs. 2519.92 was debited from my credit card and on 8th march’16 another sum of Rs. 2000/- was debited from my credit card.

          It was 9th March 2016 I see series of text messages coming on my phone with unbelievable charges to which I was shocked and in no way could understand them as I had not taken the Data Plan at all as reflected in the messages. I was billed of Rs 88690/- .

          The above bills that is charged is beyond my imagination. I had taken matrix cellular service only on the pretext that I would save money by using free local calls between the Sims as I had gone with my husband and children.

          The bills which Matrix have given, in no way are acceptable. As a traveler no one would switch to matrix if we share this experience with others.
          As a lay man we do not have the expertise of the data usage terms. We were not informed by your representative about the expensive data charges. The matrix company‘s expertise (representative) did not take the responsibility of providing information so as to make a informed consent.
          There was absolutely no handouts or dos and don’ts ( any pamphlets) about the cellular usage for any customer to have a complete and basic information.
          But your representative only focused and highlighted on the free local calls and international calling of Rs 30/- per minute.
          Another aspect, i would like to state is that as a common man’s understanding and also the pattern in india, i have a local post paid BSNL sim and every month a text message services of bills are provided as per the usage, and when the amount of Rs 1200(twelve hundred) as ceiling amount is not paid the services are barred so also the Data usage, after every usage a text message is send to the customer of the usage and its available balance.

          So also as when we as a customer we were unaware about the cellular usage, your company did not take the responsibility in informing us of the cellular usage by text message since its charges are so expensive for a common person like us.
          As i have mentioned in my previous correspondence to Matrix that, your representative was the person who had changed the sims and handed over the ready phones .
          Moreover, since we were out of our home state Arunachal Pradesh our cellular data was switched off.

          And now while going through the bill you send us, we see that the bills that you have given are cellular data usage from day we arrived Thailand from 28th till the 4th February ( Till date we left the country). That means your representative have intentionally switched on the cellular data in the two phones, since he was the one who changed the sims and handed over the phone .

          Therefore I would like state that your representative have misguided, mis sold your sims services whereby he has hidden the facts of data charges and its usage, which has resulted in a inflated and unjustified bill which is not at all acceptable to me neither and I am in position to pay the huge amount charged to me. I have already paid Rs 4519 /- and that was the budget I had kept for the caller use.
          If your representative had even indicated about the charges I would have never ever have taken your services as it coasted me beyond imagination. It seems and is evident that your representative hid the facts misguided, misused and mis sold about the services and deprived me of basic information.

          The Matrix company ‘s moral responsibility lies in providing information of proper technical know hows of Cellular usage and its charges in a simple common man’s understanding. The Technical expertise should have been imparted to the customer so that the customer makes an informed choice at the time of a one’s travel to a foreign land. Today I am mentally harassed by the series of text messages/communications.
          Once again I would like to request to get this resolved ASAP.( May like to inform that i have written to Nodal Officer Matrix on 21st march 2016, and 30th march 2016 regarding the matter)

          As I have mentioned at I have been misguided, mislead, mis sold and misrepresented by your representative. He has intentionally cheated us and fooled us. We are from Arunachal Pradesh and not a habitual traveller .we fully believed whatever your representative said about the free calls and about the attractive offer. Your company does not want to accept the misdeeds of your representative . Therefore I will take up the matter at the higher level by addressing the issue to our local hon'ble member of parliament Kiren Rijuju so that many of tribal people are not cheated at the Airport. These problems should be made aware to the Airport Authority of India.

            I went to Dubai on 10/02/2016 through Aggarwal Sangathan and no.+[protected] was issued to me by Varun. On 09/02/2016, an amount of 300/- (100/- each three time) was charged on credit card. I came back on 15/02/2016 and returned the card. Now, it is found that company has charged Rs.847.28; 1325.70 and 1046.31 through my credit card on 14/03/2016 without any notice to me. The company has charged this amount when the card has not been used. This is unfair practice of the company and harassment and mental torture to a senior citizen.

              Dear Friends,

              Please do not dare to Purchase any Matrix Cards from India. I had Purchased from Mumbai office.

              I had Purchased card for UAE whereby I was being told outgoings AED 0.30 but they charge AED 2.40/minute. When spoke with Customer care, they are like you need to dial *-----# code to get this low charge, but when I was dialing this code, this code was not accepted.

              Sales Team dont upload documents on time due to which after reaching to Dubai my Card got active after 12-24 hours resulting to wastage of time and International Roaming Charges. My Complaint ID:SU[protected]

              Sales Persons Mr. Prakash Pandey [protected]-, Mr. Jahid-[protected] and Mr. Ashish-- Very sweet language when you want to buy new connection or forex currency but worst replys from Purchase and no reply.
              Customer Care worst people-- Mr Rohit and Ms. Khusboo Kumari Arya.

              My personal suggestion dont do any business with this fraud Company.

                This is a standard practice adapted by Matrix. They promise many things and do not disclose all the relevant details to the customer about the charges. I had taken a plan of Rs 5000 for Germany and USA with unlimited SMS in local country, 1 GB Data usage and free talk time of 60 min to India. My total data usage was less than 112 MB. On return to India they sent me a bill of Rs 25000/-. I Asked for the call details and charge rates by the local operator and they were never provided inspite of many calls to the call centre. Within few days they charged my debit card. I officially lodged a complaint with their customer care center and asked for the charges of the local operator. Which were not provided.
                I lodged a compliant with the my credit card company stating that these have been debited in excess. Credit card provider informed taht they will ask the Matrix for the relevant debit invoice and if they do not provide in 90 days then my credit card charges will be reverted back.
                This was actually done by the credit card company and the amount other than Rs 5000/- was credited back to my account.
                Now Matrix has resorted to the use of threat of legal case and heavy court charges if I dont settle this amicably.
                This is a ply used by the Matrix to all unsuspecting customers who pay in fear of the legal proceedings. It is high time we collectively take them to the court and make them pay for all this.
                My complaint to Matrix is appended below for which I havnt received no reply and all I have is a legal notice.


                I had looged my complaint for excess charging beyond the assured services vide SU[protected] case id. During my call with your executive I was assured that I will be hearing from your side within 2 working days. since then I have not heard from your side till u send this mail.
                I have few complaints which are yet to be addressed.
                I was informed by your executive that the proposed plan has unlimited local SMS and free data usage upto 1 GB. Asper my phone logs the data ussage on the phone did not exceed 112 MB.
                After all this I was surprised to know taht that the amount charged to me was more than INR 20939/-.
                I had lodged a complaint against this excessive charging on your call centre and was assured of a revert back with the details of the charging within two working days. At the time of lodging of my complaint teh total outstanding shown against my SIM cards was INR 20939 on 26 Aug 2015 against which I had lodged my complaint on 28 Aug 15 vide case id SU[protected].
                And now you have sent a mail saying that the outstanding against this SIM is INR 25832. It is not understood as to how the outstanding has increased by almost INR 5000 when I had returned to India on 30 July 2015 after which these sim have not been used.
                This very fact shows taht the your company and the organisation is manipulating the actual usgae through ulterior means and fleecing money from the the customers under wrong terms and conditions.
                I would like to represent the matter to your higher management and am not in agreement with the billed charges. I am willing to pay what was agreeed with your customer care executive as per teh terms and conditions explained to me during the phone call before availing your services i.e. INR 4999/- .
                As regards to the collection of your SIM is concerned I had informed your executive from the call center on 28 Aug that these can be collected once the bills have been settled to my staisfaction.

                  For this account, Ruby.[protected]@matrix.in had confirmed on 30th nov., that I will not be charged since the sim card had been returned.

                  Now after 2 months, suddenly, I am being charged an amount of over 3000 Rs. for the period December and also upto end of January. This is not acceptable and it is requested that the amount is immediately credited back to my account.

                    Sold me sim card by saying the incoming charges will be re 5 per minute but actually its costing re 15 per minute.
                    When tried to complain they said that sim card is not registered on my name . New way to cheat people.
                    I paid approx 3500 re for nothing. This incident happened at mumbai international airport On 23rd jan 2016.

                      I purchased a matrix sim card without data pack but i was charged around
                      rs 4000 for data services i never used. there are thousands of complaints against the company online so i request TRAI to intervene and sue this company.

                        WE have taken a voice as per plan and data of 2GB (AED150=Rs.2600 approx), cellular connection SIM from Matrix in Jun'2015 for our international travel to Dubai. They have taken our acceptance for voice plan but not data plan. I am using Matrix connection for last 7 years hence thought no problems, they will provide us the voice and data as requested. During my stay I received one email from Matrix claiming that we I have almost completed 2GB hence I immediately stopped using data connection to avoid unescessary charges.
                        After coming back to India they sent me an invoice of Rs.49, 025.00 for data and voice instead of Rs.3000, and subsequently deducted the same amount from my HDFC credit card as advance authorization was given as per their process.
                        I have raised it to Matrix even several time and even raised it their CEO and operation head but their was no proper response, they continue to claim that we have taken I have taken 1GB plan and hence these charges.
                        Finally when I could not get this resolved through Matrix senior management as well. I raised it as dispute to HDFC credit card dispute cell and they investigated the case and deducted Matrix payment of Rs.46000.00 from their dues.
                        Now Matrix guys are chasing me, threatening me of going to court, giving mental tensions and agony.
                        I would like to complaint against Matrix and set their process right, don't claim these faulty charges to me and withdraw this bill and claims.

                          I have taken matrix number for singapore and Indonesia.
                          The matrix executive visited my house to sell the card and explained me call details. As per the executive the locall call charge will be 16 rs/min and international call charge will be 25 rs/min.
                          However they generated the bill with call charge of rs. 100 per min.
                          On inquiring about the bill and call charges applied, they denied the rates explained by their executive and insted told us that we were using a wrong calling method.
                          Any calling method wasnt explained to us by their executive at the time of selling the number.
                          However thay have deducted my payment from my credit card.

                          I request you to please help me in getting my refund of the cheated balance.

                            I have taken a Matrix sim card for travelling to Thailand on July 2015. One Business development Executive from Kolkata Ms Amrita Bhattacharya had issued me that sim card and she had told me that i donot need to pay anything for 1 year as i am making 1 year contract with the Matrix Cellular.But she had not mentioned me over mail that i have to within the credit limit.Now Matrix cellular had issued a bill of Rs 75000 and that amount i cant pay. I am currently living in Thailand and studying MBA there. If i donot pay the amount to them they may make a legal case against me.

                            So I need ur help.

                              This is a serious complaint .I am a matrix customer and I recently went to Thailand and I took 2 sim from this service. when they gave me the sim they assured me about the billing that no matter how much we call bill will be within security deposit and they didnt tell me anything about data charges and all but after we returned after about 1 month from our date of return I got a huge bill of 25000.each call charging 700, 600 etc and f rom 1 sim only data charges were 12000.I think that's a mistake but the service provider spoke badly with us and warned us to pay it immediately. we seriously have no idea how can 1, 2 minutes of call can charge 800, 700.I want some strict action against them. it's not about paying the bill that anyways I m going to pay but they fooled us by saying that bill will be within 5k no matter how much u call.. please take some action so that they cant fool anyone from now onwards.                                 Recently, i traveled to singapore and as usual i had taken matrix sim for daily communication. First of all in the mail they sent it to me clearly told that 50 min is free for india calling, and mentioned a word b in the sentence...Without explaining it to me by the sales girl about this b...They sent a bill of approx. 4000 rupees which was earlier explained to me that it will be 1000 rupees...

                                The fault of sales girl is ultimately paid by me...

                                Recommendation:
                                1- never used matrix sim if you are travelling to singapore...
                                2- better to use whats up and other mean rather than choosing these costly option...

                                  Dear Team, Would like to apprise you that I had travelled to South Africa for 15 days in the month of August, 2015. While receiving the sim card I had paid security amount of INR 6000 and had received a receipt by Mr. Sumit Baluni. I came back in the first week of august and had been following up for my money, in return your customer care calls and asks by the end of the month for the sim. I had also returned the sim and was told that I would get a refund in 15 days. Since then, I have bee following by calls for my money. I feel that the team is a cheat and is not to be trusted. I will make sure that none of my family and friends end up using your services. I have faced prior issues with your company but still believed that it was just a one time case. But this experience ruined the entire opinion about Matrix cellular services. I would still expect a refund and hope that this time my request is sorted out. Looking forward to a positive response.                                     I have purchased Matrix cellular SIM for singapore and malasiya 1- I asked for prepaid sim, but got Postpaid sim 2- sales person trying to sell higher rental plan. 3- I took least rental plan of 99 . 4- didnt took Internet plan as i know not going to use internet during my vacation / holiday MAY Fault didn't took counter signature from Matrix team seal Issue started after i returned from trip 1- My mobile phone used about 4mb unkowingly 2- Saw there was email from Matrix which says " if customer do not respond it will automatically deemed to be accepted" 3- Matrix added SGD26 100MB data pack . I dont have any other intimation neither SMS nor phone call that your account has been added with this Plan untill i returned. 4- I raised complaint that I havent opted for this pack. Matrix argument is you havent rejected our email . My argument is i havent saw email untill i returned and after comming from vacation there is no point in rejection as it forced me to respond in 24hours after receiving email SO this is Matrix modus operandi of cheating customer. On contacting Nodal Officer Shashank he rejected my claim saying that we dont have such plan and all plans come with default pack . Paper on which I signed is and submitted is Fake. I obtained it before 10th october 2015 and sending email to them now. This article is to alert customer to have proper documents sign documents with date . Better donot Buy Matrix sims or you will be in legal loopholes of Indian law system Other Option is 1- At airport or in market give your Passport copy and obtain a prepaid sim It will be always be cheaper from MATRIX sim.

                                      When I purchased the Prepaid International matrix SIM card for US on 13th Nov'15 against CAF No- T[protected]. I have suffered these below problems on my purchase of this matrix card from Matrix service provider(Mehrauli, New Delhi)- 1. When I bought the card from Mr. Piyush Gupta, he told me and commit me on phone that if your travel plan changes, we will refund the whole amount back to you. 2. Secondly, when I asked the Matrix team to do the refund because of the change in the travel plan., Then they completely refused. 3. Thirdly, when I compromised on some grounds that according to the telephonic conversation with Mr. Piyush stating that keep the card with you, we will activate it in your future plan of travel. It can be activated till the next year even. 4. Now, that I am asking them to activate the card from 14th dec'15, they have problem in that also.

                                        I think this Company is just built to fetch the money out of the Customer's Pocket. Incident happen with me when i called up their customer care to ask about the roaming plans and the conditions when i had to travel to Guernsey. They said in the recorded audio that your number will be working normally there. But now i have lost all the balance in my account which was around 1500 INR. This is totally insane.
