I took an international simcard for travel to dubai more than 3 years ago. I tracked my usage via my phone and was well below the free limit I was provided.

However on my return, I was billed below amount or something like that. Rs. 15, 000 was automatically deducted from my credit card which was taken from me from the airport from where I took the Sim card. Please note that at time of taking my Sim card I was not told about any such hold against my card even when I asked the representative selling that card.

I was not satisfied with the bill, it was argued and settled at that time.

Now after more than 3 years of radio silence and no notice or communication. I am notified of a due balance by a lawyer [protected]@legalknights.in on my email id [protected]@gmail.com and threatening of a legal proceedings against me.

I am extremely disappointed with this kind of service and practice.

    Hi Matrix team,

    I have done two recharges on my number # 92XXXXXXXX. but recharge is not successful . got ERROR message "We are Sorry". After money deducted from my Account

    1) Using SBI bank amount Rs 1768.82 (Ref#GAKKPBYJ2) - money deducted from my back account but No recharge

    2) Using PayTM bank amount Rs 1180 (Ref#IGAKKPHTT4) - money deducted from my back account but No recharge .

    I did the 2nd recharge as 1st transaction failed. As there was duplicate recharge done for the same due to system ERROR. I want to cancel the 1st transaction ( Rs 1768.82 ) and refund the money back to my back account. After discussion with Matrix customer service team they have done the 2nd transaction (Rs 1180) recharge on my Mobile. But they are saying they can't refund the 1st transaction ( Rs 1768.82 ) . They are saying to add the 2nd transaction recharge now or next month as per my confirmation.

    But As I am leaving USA next month. There is NO use of my 2nd recharge amount . So I am requesting to refund the amount to my bank account . Very very disappointed with services and communications done by Matrix service team. Still the 2nd recharge pending not yet DONE.

        I took a matrix sim card for my 15 days europe trip from mumbai international airport on 27th feb 2020. Paid aprox 4300 for 25gd internet and free outgoing and i come calls to india. I was informed that instanbul (Where i had my layover) would also have matrix network however the same was not available. I ignored assuming i'll have network in europe but to my surprise not a single day i had complete network. I am still on my trip 6th day to be precise and could use only 3mb out of 25gb as there is no network. Half of my honeymoon trip is behind matrix team solving the issue. We had to purchase a new sim card in europe. I need my refund of rs 4300 paid to you and tje additional cost borne by me for purchasing a new sim card here in europe

        Hi, I bought Matrix SIM card in Bangalore Airport on April30-2022. I was told i get MSISDN number and get attached to Italy network when i land in Italy but it has been 5 days still am unable to connect to netwrok.
        Would like to know network setting like APN, MNC, MCC..etc for Italy Rome.

          Dear team,
          Today at 1621 hrs., i have received one sms from amex credit card that that an amount of rs. 123.92 was deducted at matrix. This is a real surprise to me as i have used matrix card or any other service since 2016.in this regard, i request you to kindly reverse the payment to my amex credit card and also remove any of card information if saved with you.

            As per the agreement t[protected] (Phone no: [protected]), i purchased an international sim card (For 28 days from 1st feb till 1st march) from matrix while travelling from india to uae. I specifically asked for unlimited data package & was promised the same in the agreement letter & over calls/emails. Nowhere in the call/email/agreement letter was any fup or data restrictions were mentioned.

            1) on 11th feb, i received notification that i'm about to consume my full data (5 gb). I notified the matrix support & got confirmation over mail that this message can be ignored as you have unlimited data package.
            2) on 13th feb, my internet data services receiving message that i've consumed my full 5gb data usage.
            3) despite multiple followups, escalations, i got no positive response from the team. On 17th feb, i got a response from matrix nodal officer that since i've used 5gb allocated, they are in process of discussion with local service provider (Du in uae) for data addon within next 2-4 hrs.
            4) on 18th feb, i got reply that more that can't be added due to cap limit & need to use only the calling services only.

              I have taken diamond postpaid plan for my travel to china for 15 days and surrendered my sim on exact date when i landed back to india.
              They have taken 1 month of time to give my final bill after many useless follow ups.

              And here comes twist & shock upon seeing my bill amount, they have charged 13937.96 for my whole trip. After analyzing the itemized bill i found there is big fraudulent happened in data handling.

              1. They have accounted even 1 kb as 1 mb
              2. Found lots of duplicate time stamp entry

              And the above makes my bill amount huge for 2 weeks travel.

              The most interesting part is while am asking about this scenarios they simply saying it was the bill given by china network provider we are not responsible. How comes this irresponsible answer..??

              I have cross validated our indian telecom service provider bill as well there is no such scenarios happened.

              Now am thinking to file a complaint against my bill

                I write with reference to matrix sim hired by me for my europe trip from 1st august, 2019, to 10th september, 2019 under account code: 2250112. They have raised invoices of huge amounts for data consumption whereas i have not used any cellular data on matrix sim.

                Towards end of july, 2019, i was approached on phone by a marketing executive of the matrix cellular to hire a matrix sim for my europe trip. I clearly told him that i would not need any sim during my trip as i would not need to use my phone for any calls, messages or data. However, he tried to convince me that i should take a matrix sim for any emergency usage. Upon his insistence, i agreed to hire a matrix sim and it was clearly understood that sim rental for the trip duration would be inr 900. Matrix obtained a refundable security deposit from me of rs 6, 000 saying that it is a mandatory requirement for hiring any of their sim cards. Now matrix is refusing to refund the security deposit by raising false and wrongful bills on me for data services which were never availed.

                It is pertinent to note that i did not make any call using the matrix sim and mobile data option was always switched off on my handset. I was shocked to receive a wrongful invoice no. Rmnx10920n395 for an amount of inr 4122. I immediately wrote to customer support of matrix notifying them about the wrongful, erroneous and fraudulent billing. They replied saying that the charges billed are for data consumption. I clarified by asserting that there was absolutely no cellular data consumption and mobile data was always switched off on my handset during the trip. I also informed matrix that mobile data was never switched on even for a single second and no mobile data was used at anytime. But, matrix is fraudulently alleging data consumption and refusing to pay back my security deposit.

                I wrote several emails clarifying that there was no data consumption and no calls made from their sim so matrix should only charge me the agreed rental of rs 900. Instead of cancelling and withdrawing the wrongful bill of inr 4122, matrix has raised an additional bogus bill no. Rmnx10920n407 for inr 3017 and now threatening me to pay inr 4122+3017 instead of agreed rental of inr 900. Thus, matrix is coercing me to pay an amount of rs 7139 against actual dues of only rs 900.

                It is evident that matrix cellular is a scam, acting fraudulently upon their innocent customers to coerce them into paying huge arbitrary amounts without any justification. They are acting in callous disregard of consumer interest to make unlawful gains for the company.

                Matrix cellular is once again called upon to cancel and withdraw the wrongful invoices raised under account code: 2250112 and refund my security deposit of rs 6000 after deducting the agreed sim rental of rs 900.

                It is clearly evident that Matrix Cellular is using dubious ways and means to cheat thousands of innocent customers like us. There was no call or data consumption on Matrix SIM hired by me, and Matrix has still raised baseless invoices for an arbitrary amount of Rs 7139.
                Matrix is guilty of criminal breach of trust because they are refusing to refund my security deposit of Rs 6000 and trying to misappropriate it. Shameless company behaving like a "fly-by-night operator".
                All Matrix consumers who are suffering should form a group and request Law Enforcement Agencies, Economic Offences Wing of Police, Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) and CBI to launch an investigation against Matrix Cellular and take strict action against them for fraud and scams.
                Strict action against Matrix Cellular is necessary so that they stop their sinister designs of taking consumers for a ride by raising false and frivolous bills of inflated amounts

                Matrix Cellular is busy devising ingenious methods to deceive and loot the innocent consumers.
                Hundreds and thousands of Matrix consumers are suffering due to fraudulent activities of Matrix. They raise bogus and arbitrary invoices for data usage even when customer has not switched on mobile data and there is zero cellular data consumption.

                  I was wrongly billed for fixed data packages worth rs 5781, which i have not asked for during my 10 days trip to europe recently
                  I took a rental plan for voice call for rs 500. I received the bill rmnx10720n943on 22 may. After that i had written more than 10 mails to get the data charges which was wrongly charged to me. Their bill clearly mention this as fixed charge and my data usage has been shown as zero for the complete duration.
                  Matrix have committed a fraud by putting data charges without my knowledge.
                  I requested them to remove the charges but they declined to do so. They were only willing to waive off one data package charges and not both data charges

                  This appears to be a standard practice at Matrix. I never switched on mobile data during my Europe trip and there was absolutely no data consumption but Matrix has billed me for 2 data packs.
                  I have written several emails to Matrix but they are falsely alleging that data charges are valid and refusing to pay back my refundable security deposit of Rs 6000/-.
                  Completely unethical, unprofessional and fraudulent company which is only interested in fleecing customers for money.
                  I had ordered Matrix Power Watch 2 online and it was for $0.01.
                  However on placing order number 108047, an amount of ₹24, 000/- got debited.
                  Not only fraudulent debit but also no product has been received.

                    I took a sim for singapore from matrix, i chose the 2999 tariff plan which included india calling free for 500 minutes and 50 gb data, and 500 minutes of free local calls. When i received the bill, it was 12263. They had charged 6830 for india calling, saying i have not used the budget dial. I felt duped since this condition of budget dial was not clearly mentioned. Their agent also did not explain about this.

                      We have been following up with matrix to share a no dues certificate since 2015. One of your staff who used our passport for forged numbers and left matrix.in spite of our frequent requests, we do not receive any of the reply or clarification.in a few of the cases, the bill charges are different from the offered tariff. There is no solution or conversation provided the matrix. This is not the first issue with matrix. They ripped off many of our staff and afterward reversed the charges. I think there are some loopholes in the coordination among teams of matrix and customer has to suffer with. It is better to provide the customer with the right solution if not, there should be a ban on their services.

                        I suraj s battu have worked for matrix cellular international services at andheri branch.

                        During leaving the company my 3 months salary was on hold due to prepaid amount pending to be collected from corporate which i have sold. Few days after the amount was collected.

                        Few weeks back i received a mail saying some amount is pending to be paid off prepaid simcard. But i have cleared all the amount during my notice period. But they mention that i have not paid the amount.

                        As the amount comes to 4000 approx so i have told because of above amount please don't hold my 3 months fnf. I don't have any proof that i have paid the amount because they don't provide any receipts during submitting the amount.

                        Any how i told them to debit from my fnf so they mentioned that now the policy is changed we can't.
                        First you have to pay the amount them we will release the amount.
                        But my question is if i pay the amount according to them which is pending will they release the fnf. Because it now 7 months my fnf is pending.

                          I purchased a 10 day unlimited (Data/voice) package for uk from bangalore international airport. I was promised 4g and data at high speeds. After reaching while the i was able to make calls the data was not working. It was very slow. I complained several times and the technical support recommended i change the settings to 3g and blamed the speed on coverage. The data is so slow that my wats app messages take almost 15 - 20 seconds to go. Should have bought a lyca or lebara

                            I had taken a sim card at the airport on 5 th sept 2013 for travel to usa
                            I was told about the cost per minute to india.
                            Once reaching usa, i was getting regular updates o[censored]sage & cost of calls immediately after making a call.
                            We then went on a crusie in 21 st sept along bahamas which is out o[censored]sa
                            While on cruise my companaions uses the mobile.
                            We didn’t get any usage costings while the we were 7 days on cruise
                            We must have made few calls.
                            We were back in mumbai in end of sept 2013
                            On 9 th october, my credit card company send a msg that my card doesn’t have limit to withdraw 45, 000 & matrix had tried to debit that from my account
                            I called up matrix, that they haven’t sent me a bill & i had already paid rs 20 k for 24 day travel & my matrix sim card was taken only for month of september. Why i did u try to debut so much amount whiteout informing? Then the company sent me a bill of rs 10 k
                            & till 9 th october no sms of any matrix usage etc was sent of balance etc
                            Which i said i have already paid that much.
                            Then they sent me a new bill of 97000 rs. I was shocked.
                            They sent me a bill which seemed unreal.
                            They charged me rs 25000 approx for 7-8 min call.
                            Their explanation was charges on cruise are very high & upto discretion of cruise for which they didn’t sent any timely bill or warning.
                            Then they charged me monthly bill for nov of rs 2000
                            Again in mailed that my card was only for sept month.
                            Now they hv put a case in lok adalat of non payments of dues in 2014 & are now pressuring to pay ela wo will have to bear extra interest charges. Pls help & call on [protected]

                              Hi team,

                              I have taken matrix international sim card from an employee of the matrix while receiving sim itself i clearly explained to their representative that data usage is not required to me and i need the connection for few calls that"s for a very short period. Accordingly, i had used just a few calls that are for a few seconds only.

                              After my trip, they have charged me a bill for 6700/ and automatically deducted from my credit card and for data usage, then i replied that actually, i have not used net data. Now they are coming back asking they will wave off 3000rs as the welcome gesture. Apart from all this they are insisting me to pay the bill for which i have not used.
                              While i am trying to contact the person who has handed over me a sim he is telling to contact to customer care for the issue. So irresponsible person.
                              In this regard, i request the high-level authority of matrix to withdraw or drop the bill and to maintain customer relationship.

                                As promised by matrix cellular service provider i took 2 sim cards for our trip to czech, hungary, austria, croatia. Took 5gb net, 500min free package. To our surprise only what's app service and calling service was working, we are unable to use important app like google and google maps. We got struct many times as didn't know where to go. Matrix people have cheated us as they have taken 7000 plus rupees from us and not providing the necessary services.

                                  I traveled to Amsterdam via Bangalore Airport last week. Bought a sim of 1999 for which i was charged around 2400 claiming they have included 2addl free sims for UAE in both to and fro journey
                                  This feature was not explained before swiping cards for transaction.
                                  And both the sims were useless as it did nt work on to and fro journey
                                  Felt cheated
                                  Similar experience by a fellow passenger
                                  Passengers pls dont take addl sims

                                    My name is jagjeet kaur yesterday I visited your outlet for rebounding of my hairs .. and they took 5000inr from me .. when i saw the results my hairs were i found my hairs rough burned and broken . My hairs are not streight at all they turned into the form they were before ... i am very unsatisfy from your work and i will never ever visit your store again ..even i will never suggest my friends to go there ... so sad 😞

                                      I purchased a matrix sim for a month trip to Malaysia. At the counter, on inquiring about the money charges and phone calls, i was told all calls were free for the month. I came back to India to find out that my bill have reached Rs.12000. I got help from my senior and talked to matrix and out of no where they decided Rs.5000 will be deducted out of Rs.12000. I was willing to pay and matrix just stopped contacting me. After 8 months, they called up again and this time when i asked the matrix guy started off with demeaning conversation to if i even have the money to pay, threatening me that they will send me legal notice, that they will cancel my passport and calling up my colleague and threatening her too. I had to scream at him to stop screaming and shouting and threatening me and on telling him its not about payment but am here to about the fraud charging, he simply replied that i didn't pay the bill. When I asked him what happened to the 5000 to be deducted and he came back with a reply that it is deducted only from the security deposit and that they contacted me after 8 months was because transaction failed in the card i registered with which they claimed was credit card. Firstly there was never any kind of security deposit for buying a matrix sim, secondly i have only debit card till date to my name. Thirdly they could not even clarify the charges of my bill. They have now send me a legal noticed to pay the bill.
