THE CORPORATION HAS RAISED PROPERTY TAX BILL FOR 2008-09 ON 28.04.2008 WHICH WAS RECEIVED BY US ON 03.09.2008. THE DATE OF RECEIPTS 03.09.2008 IS VERY MUCH CLEAR FROM THE POSTAL STAMP OF PROPERTY TAX BILL. WE HAVE PAID AMOUNT OF ALL THE 4 QUARTERS VIDE RECEIPTS NO.5800866 DATED 24.10.2008 AS PER FOLLOWING DETAILS :-
1ST QTR 5282/-(WITHOUT CLAIMING REBATE)
2ND QTR 5282 (WITHOUT CLAIMING REBATE)
3RD QTR 5018/- &
4TH QTR 5018/-
TOTAL 20600/-
WE HAVE WROTE SEVERAL TIMES TO KMC GIVING SUCH DETAILS ON 22.10.2008, 01.12.2008, 09.02.2009.
HOWEVER THE CORPORATION HAS ADJUSTED OUR ABOVE AMOUNT UNILATERALLY BY CHARGING PENALTY OF RS.792.29 FOR EACH 1ST & 2ND QTR. AND INTEREST RS.158.46 FOR 1ST QTR. FURTHER CORPORATION IS ASKING INTEREST OF RS.1214.86 FOR LAST QTR. WE HAVE FILED COMPLAIN AGAIN IN THIS REGARD ON 05.02.2011 IN WRITTING. FURTHER WE APPROACHED PERSONALLY ON 02.03.2011 AND MET MR.S.SAMANTA (DY.ASSESSOR) BUT HE DENIED US THAT PENALTY & INTEREST CAN NOT BE WAIVED AS IT IS THE DUTY OF ASSESSEE TO MAKE THE PAYMENT IN TIME.
HE TOLD US THAT KMC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY POSTAL IRREGULARITIES.

WE PRAY TO YOU THAT WE HAVE NO FAULT OF ANY KIND IN THIS CASE.RATHER WE HAVE CO-OPERATED WITH KMC BY PAYING THE AMOUNT IN ADVANCE ON 24.10.2008 WHICH WAS TO BE PAID ON 14.11.2008 & 12.02.2009.
MOREOVER WE WROTE SEVERAL TIMES WHICH KMC DID NOT BOTHER TO LOOK AFTER AND SHOWN THEIR NEGLIGIANT BEHAVIOUR AS USUAL. IN THIS CASE WE HAVE TO PAY EXTRA RS.3230/- (PENALTY RS.1584.58, INTEREST RS.1645.42) WHICH IS UNLAWFULL AND ILLEGAL.
PLEASE DIRECT THE CORPORATION TO ACCEPT OUR PAYMENT WITHOUT PENALTY AND INTEREST.

Municipal Corporation of India — Stray Dogs

There are so many stray dogs in front of House No. 105 to 113 , Pocket 52, Chittaranjan Park. No child can come out of the house and play. These dogs keep on howling throughout the night. Residents of the locality are a troubled lot.

I am a resident of ward no 98 of KMC. In the vicinity of our flat , about 7 - 9 stray dogs used to roam, bark at large and do all the nuisenses round the clock. They disturb us althrough the night. They used to gorw by 4 to 5 numbers every year. We are totally fed up with this unwanted disturbances.

I request the concerned department of KMC to take up the necessary action by sending a dog catcher squad immediately to keep away these street devils from our area.

I totally disagree with this kind of inhuman attitude towards stray dogs. This is brutal and has no meaning at all. Dogs are man's best friend. They cannot be a nuisance at all. This kind of attitude is totally not expected from civilised humans. It is our responsibility to feed these animals and take care of them when they are in distress. Every animal has the right to live as we human beings. Thus it is our duty to look after their welfare. It is the fundamental right of all living creatures to live and let live.

We are Residents of Zakaria street, near Md.Ali park, Kolkata-73. For the past couple of months numerous street dogs have been spreading menace in the street. A has given birth to 7-8 puppies and it entire street is filled with filth. Children cannot play and people cannot pass-by because of the dirt caused by these dogs. It is also spreading a lot of disease as the children happen to touch these filthy puppies.
I request you to please send a dog squad and remove these dogs from the street, for the betterment of the residents.

Human civilization through the last 10, 000 years have considered a dog as man's best friend. Unfortunately I find that in our city there are several people who have not evolved enough at the same pace as humans have done throughout India and the foreign countries. Humans all around us have the right to commit nuisance on the roads as the law and civilians turn a blind eye. Then what's wrong with dogs? Humans all around us make so much unwanted noise and burst crackers at the slightest pretext. What's wrong with dogs barking? It's because the newly rich people are going all out to buy expensive foreign purebreds that the domestication of street pups has almost ceased. This is the root cause of the proliferation of their numbers on the roads. In my childhood days, almost every household used to have a desi dog that they had caught from the street and they used to keep those pets indoors.

I would strongly suggest that on the one hand KMC should castrate as many diseased dogs as possible and let the the healthy ones live normal lives. I do not recommend killing off the diseased ones. They would die a natural death which every creature deserves, including humans. The dogs that are considered dangerous owing to their aggressive attitude should of course be put to sleep as they do pose a hazard to the public.

On the other hand what the KMC could do towards a long term progress in this matter is to think of ways and means of popularizing the domestication of stray dogs as our Indian dogs are much better suited for the average household owing to their simple expectations and almost zero demands.

Re : Street Dogs
I am a resident of Ward 65 under Kolkata Municipal Corporation. There are at least 20-25 dogs in 100 meters of our residence and they are not only barking they often chase the children and other passers by in the said locality. We are very much afraid of the free street dogs.
Please send a dog catcher squad in this area as the stray dogs are making it very difficult to live in our houses.

There are in numerous stray dogs in the area who are always found loitering around and at night chase any one who is found walking on the road. People in the area are scared to come out at night because of being bitten by these dogs. At night they bark loud and quarrel amongst themselves which has made sleeping very disturbing. With the onset of Board Exams students are getting disturbed. They also litter around here and there which is unhygienic and dirties the locality. Dear sir, sub: Harassment for rectification of outstanding bill under assessee no.[protected] in the name of
M/s. Venus Funds Management Ltd., situated at Cresent Tower 229, A.J.C. Bose Road, Kolkata-
700 020
we would like to inform you that, after received a wrong outstanding bills during the month of March'2012 and while the waiver scheme going on and on 26.03.2012 one application submitted along with xerox copy of wrong waiver bill but after that three original bill submitted at the division and handed over to the inspector and after that one letter submitted to your departmental receiving centre and several visit with the division and met with the inspector but yet we have not received any proper information about the rectification from your division and even the inspector also activate for the new story about the pending file which is not related and not tally with their record.The inspector is yet unable to clear up about the pending matters and could not say the actual status.
We therefore, like to lodge this complaint for necessary action as because while we have submitted our letter for rectification of outstanding bill and after three months yet the division or the assessment have been harassing for the rectification and we have lost our golden chance under waive scheme.
We are also eager to get back our original three bills.

Please take necessary action and try to punish for the harassment.

My father had purchased a flat on 45, Diamond Harbour Road, Sakher Bazar, Kolkata-8.I had also purchased a flat next to it so that I can stay comfortably at the same building with my family. Unfortunately the municipal corporation and the state had failed to arrest the growing air pollution and sound pollution due to which I have started having hearing problem along with asthama and various other health issue.
I have paid all my taxes , both to the state and to the central government for this flat and for having a healthy and safe life in my country.I pay my direct taxes also regularly.
Now I want to know whether I have my rights as an Indian to live a healthy and safe life in my country.

I live in 8C 1Z1 jogodyan lane kankurgachi, kolkata 700054. It is under kolkata municipality and registration charge to purchase a flat in this area is rs6000 per square feet. There is an illegal factory near my flat causing air pollution thorugh out the day time and sometimes in night also. We are not able to open our window, or do yoga. My health has also deteriorated and i am now suffering from throat infection. Requesting you to please do the needfull because out of house there is corona and inside house air pollution from this glass factory.
