Dear sir I purchased a new nokia 820 on 29/1/13 from a local retailer of rishikesh(laxmi computers, railway road rishikesh) there is a problem of calling time and blank display. When i went to nokia care ( telepoint computers 34, railway road, ridhikesh). They told me that it will take 15 days to be repaired. So, i given my phone on 14/5/13 after 1 month they give back my phone on 12/6/13 but the problem is not solved. Again i give my phone on 14/6/13 and received it on 22/6/13, the same problem occurs and on next day i submitted my phone and received it on 8/7/13. After two days i.e. 10/7/13 i again submitted my phone and received it on 24/8/13 . After a long day of processing the problem is not solved, i just wasted the 4 months warranty on this process and i used my phone only for 2 months. It is a request to you to solved my problem as soon as possible otherwise i registered this complain on consumer forum.     i have purchased a Nokia Asha 305 on 25/04/13. it was creating problem since starting after 5 days i have visited to Nokia care because it was hanging while.. they have upgraded my cells software and told me it will now work fine but issue was still same after an month the out going voice became poor again i went to c-care they told me the mouth piece of handset in not working it needs to be replaced and you have to submit Rs-525/- (my set was in warranty) i said i was under warranty so they told its companies policy i[censored] have to get Ur handset repair in Nokia so you have to pay Rs- 525/- and we will provide u the warranty for another 1 year i deposited the amount and left my handset... after 16 days i got my cell back but when i checked it out the problem was still same .. after 2 days i again submitted my cell and got it after 11 days on august 14/08/13 but the issue was still same now finally 3rd time again have been submitted my handset on dated 17/08/13. now i m really fed up of all this and they need the handset to be changed by company but they r not changing it n again sent to me the same.... but now i will not going to receive the handset from c-care because i m suffering since 2 months and from the date of purchase i cant able to use the set for a month and problems were started kindly take some strict action and make my handset replaced... thanking you [protected] Shubham

      I extended my mobile warranty for one year by giving rupees 1450. some days back I was having problems in the handset so I went to the nokia care centre and they told me that because of water entering in mobile the problem has occured and they said that warranty is not applicable in such cases and warranty for my mobile is cancelled for future also.When I was extending my warranty they didn't told me about this and they said everything will be repaired of mobile body . and now they are even denying to give my rs1450 back. so please help me sir

        I'm using Nokia 6303I Classic for the use of GPRS , but recently I'm unable to use GPRS on my phone, an error showing on my phone is "subscribe to packet data first" I'm change my internet settings but nothing is working, and this remarks also appears when I intend to use multimedia message sending system (SMS) simultaneously any other application with internet also occurs this problem ,kindly do something and resolve this issue at your earliest convenience .

          Before some time i purchased nokia asha 311 mobile phone. Nokia confirmed these phone as smartphone and have a front camera. front camera available is available when we see the phone. Near ear side speaker but in phone there is no any option in which i can use front camera. I want to claim on nokia for the same. They made me fool. But I want to show them power of consumer. Please help me.

            I bought a Nokia phone ASHA 302model bearing IMEI no[protected] on 26th sept in hyderabad for Rs.8,000/-(eight thousand only).It was working fine until 16th aug 2013 when it accidentally fell in water.I removed the battery immediately an dried up the phone under the fan for 24 hours.The phone started working normally but the display was blurred on the display screen.I took it to a mobile repair shop and was told that the LCD display paper needed to be changed as it got wet and was advised to go to the authorized Nokia Care Centre in MG Market (tel-91-[protected] &[protected].. went there on 18th aug and asked if could be repaired under warranty as the phone was still under warranty but was told that display problems are not covered under warranty and i have to pay the repair charges.I agreed and got it repaired in half an hour by the technician SUMAN.I was asked to pay Rs.16,00/-(sixteen hundred only).I asked for the actual costs and was told by the Counter Clerk.Mr.S.Pradhan that servicing (Rs.1,300/-) + LCD paper cost (Rs.3,00/-). I paid the amount of Rs.1,600/- and asked for a receipt & job card statement but was told that no receipt is ever given and no job details can be given.I just left as I was in a hurry to get back to the hospital.I came home and saw that the phone's battery was getting discharged every 2 hours and called back the Nokia Care Centre.I was told that it takes 3-4 hours to fully charge the battery and put the phone for charging.I charged it fully for 6 hours and again the battery was getting discharged in 2 hours.I then checked the battery number and saw that the battery inside was different and lodged a complaint online to the contact centre of nokia india on 18th aug evening...I got a mail from them on 19th aug 2013 as below.
            Our team has received your email and your service request number is 1-[protected].

            Please allow us to handle the details of your case, and we’ll get back in touch with you shortly.

            Not satisfied with this I went back to Nokia Care Centre In MG Market,Gangtok where it was repaired. And demanded a receipt and job card details.I was told by the counter clerk Mr.S.Pradhan that the man who repaired it was unwell and did not come for work and that I could get in the next day.I went back on 21st august and again was told that tthe receipt and job card cannot be given. I threatened to complain to the police and returned.In the evening on 22nd august,, I got a call from the owner Mr.Karma(tel [protected]).He said that his ooffice did not have records of the repairs carried out and amount charged as his staff had not entered the same in his office records on the computer and he asked me for details of the phone model,IMEI number . I gave him these details .He then told me that his counter clerk Mr.S.Pradhan has erred & apologized for the mistake.He further told me that Mr.S.Pradhan was not answering his calls and that he would send Mr.S.Pradhan to my hospital with the battery & receipt the next morning.Finally at 5.30 pm,Mr.S.Pradhan came to our hospital,accepted his mistakes and gave me the original battery with the Nokia hologram & the number mentioned in the original receipt on purchase on 26th sept 2012 in hyderabad.he further gave me a hand written receipt for Rs.16,000/-(Sixteen thousand) and refused to give the computerised job card details.He demanded that I return his duplicate battery but I refused and told him that he can get it only after he gives me the detailed job card and that he would have to refund me the Rs.1,600/- he charged me.Till today he has not come back.I request the forum to take cognisance of this organised fraud by authorised service centres and punish them stringently so that the public are not cheated any more.

              Hi Team, I had bought the device in May this year. For the last one month I have been experiencing poor call quality and sometimes no sound from my side. Assume the mic is not functioning properly. I have been to the nokia care 3-4 times and they say that they do not have the mic for 720 in stock. Please suggest a solution as this is getting very annoying. I get a lot of client calls and this cannot go on like this. Regards, Sajith.M

              Hi Team,
              To add insult to injury i dropped my phone and the display glass is shattered. When i took it to the service centre they said the display would cost me arnd 8.5k to replace which is not covered under the warranty (8.5k for a 15k phone?). Even that i was prepared to pay for but he said that my warranty is void since there is physical damage and is asking me to pay another 1k to get the mic repaired. This is not fair. If the warranty is void then y should i come to nokia care? cant i get it done from somebody for a cheaper price? Please advice.

                i purchased Nokia Asha 305 on 18-July-2012, it worked fine till 1 year but now after warranty has expired i have started experiencing problems. my handset's mic is not working properly. it requires me to stick my mouth to the mic and then speak, even though the level of voice is too low. please suggest some solution.

                  NOKIA ComplaintI have purchased Nokia Lumia 720 on 10th of julyand the very next day I faced a techincal problem in it, backlightwasn'tworking. I took the handset to Nokia gallery and they checkeditout,but the problem was not sorted out, however the inchargepersonover there Mr. Binoy Varghese told me that he will sent thepiece tocompany and will find out the solution. After more than aweek, when Icalled Nokia care centre Mulund they replied that since mymobile isirrepairable it would be replaced by NEW HANDSET and asked metocollect new handset( and between this period I didn't get asinglereply from nokia care) .I visited the gallery I gotthehandset (which accordingly to them is considered a new handsetdon't know as per what logic) but it's condition waspathetic and worsewith scratches all over the bodyand also a big damage on it's backpanel it was not even fully lamineted, so sealed pack or labelledpack is out of the question I have refuse it, after 8 days I have got another hendset there was also with scratches all over the body ,What the hell is this???? a brand likeNOKIA provides a service like this???I think Nokiacompany is not at allinterested in handling customer queries, problemsand is unable togive solution.I would like to know the reason ofall the inconviniencecaused to me and also need PERMANENTSOLUTION, I had returned back the handset which was replaced from thecompany at 31 july 2013 and I have called at nokia gellary mulund at 16 aug thy told me thank u to reminding us for ur issu and to day this is 22 of aug I did'nt got a single cll from tham, I request to suggest me what to do about itI had already visitedNokia gallery 12 to 15 times and have called at nokia had ofice at minimum 20-25 times haven'tgot the solution yet, this time I request you to sort out the issueASAPPlease find below the details of the jobsheet:-Job Sheet Number :[protected]/130715/28my 1st ESN/IMEI Number was : [protected]

                    I bought Nokia Lumia 520 Mobile Phone on[protected] evening from S.H Mumtazuddin Times (P) LTD, add: 171 A&B Lenin Sarani, Kolkata-700013. At night as i opened its camera and its screen became green. As 18-08-13 was sunday i went to retailer on 19-08-13 i.e monday and told the issue. Retailer did reset the phone and camera began working and i took it back home. On 20-08-13 when put a memory card in it i found the phone memory and external memory both not opening. On 21-08-13 i went to retailer and Nokia Service center both and requested to replace the phone. Both refused. And atlast Nokia service center has kept my phone for repair gave delivery date on 05-09-13. A brand new smartphone of Nokia could be such cheap quality that i could not use it single day properly. And nokia service center has provided me a dam old nokia C3-00 model phone for temporary use till i get back my old phone and given an approx value of it: Rs 5800. That means if any malfunction causes or lost this old phone, i have to pay Rs-5800. In market nobody will pay max. Rs 1000 for it. Nokia is doing such bloody tricks, producing cheap products and harrasing customers.

                    Nokia — Sell me defected piece.

                    I purchased a new cellphone just before 5 days, on a next day of purchasing I found that my keypad's Right Navigation Key having some problem so i went to the dealer for replacement of my newly purchased device... They refused to replace it so i went to the Nokia Service Center to repair it... Service Center told me that they have no parts available for this model... I called your Customer care helpline but they are unable to help me...

                    I heard that it is your Company's policy that if there is any problem in device within 48 hours than company give replacement of device.... But as per your policy it is not done with me, even your service centers are helpless to solve my problem.

                    Now I m unable to use my device's keypad...

                      i m using nokia e7 from last two years. my phone got the problem of charging in 16 july 2013 m going to nokia customer care service centre ghazibad rajnagar where change the charing jack but after this my phone doesn't work anymore.. they say that now ur phone have motherboard problem but before my phone works very well they charge ruppee 1450 for changing charging jack but my phone now not working.. so i want my whole phone money back with charing jack charge..

                      after team nokia india interfare they call me nd i m going many tyms bt everytym they collect my phone and few minutes later said now ur touch also gone, now ur display also gone
                      they fraud me and my all genuine parts replace with fake and destroy parts
                      now m going to sue all nokia team in consumer court bcoz they heres me also
                      nd claim my whole phone money back nd chrgng jack money with compensation

                            NOKIA : KINDLY HELP INCASE THIS MATTER SEEMS OF ANY IMPORTANCE FOR A COMPANY BOASTING ABOUT ITS CUSTOMER SERVICE.
                            I have purchased this mobile 28/05/2010 and have a one year warranty on this mobile.
                            It was unpacked for approx. 4 months after which I started using it. There has been no damage nor any servicing done OR REQUIRED. It worked fine until now , where due to some problem the cell doesn't switch on. After consulting the Nokia service centre, a job sheet mentioning ' LIQUID LOGGED & TAMPERING of handset' an approximate cost of 1638/- is prepared.
                            The CO-OPERATION & CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE NOKIA CENTRE AT JUHU WAS A DISASTROUS EXPERIENCE. NO SENIORS READY TO SPEAK &SORT THE MATER IN SPITE OF BEING PRESENT WITH AN EXCUSE OF LACK OF TIME.
                            My point to raise this issue is not to point mistakes & make a huge issue out of this but, kindly do make the meaning of WARRANTY clear for customers & provide for an APPROACHABLE, SOLUTION ORIENTED , CUSTOMER CENTRIC STAFF.

                              I, Luckshika Ulaganathan, purchased a Nokia Lumia 920 on 23rd January, 2013 for Rs. 37,750. I had given it for repair of the SIM tray as it was not recognising the SIM card to Nokia Care in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu on 17th July,2013. They replaced the phone with a new Nokia Lumia 920. But the screen started flickering and had a poor audio quality. On 2nd August, I returned the phone back and they promised me to deliver a new model by 12th August but assured me that it will reach by 10th August. They gave me a old model of Nokia C6 which was not working properly. When they were contacted on 10th August, they said it has not been delivered and promised to deliver it on 12th August. On 12th august, they said the phone has not reached and they will not be able to specify a delivery date.
                              I then contacted the Bangalore Nokia care Center which is the main branch.
                              They said they are not sure when it will be delivered and said it will delivered within 3-4 days without any confirmation.
                              I request you to look into this as it has been a month since I am following upon this session without any progress. This service is completely unexpected from a brand of this kind.

                              Nokia Care — poor customer service

                              I had purchased a nokia phone from an authorised nokia store. From the day of purchase the phone had the defects of getting switched off automatically as well as the set was getting over-heated. I submitted the phone to an authorised nokia care centre for rectifying the problems.
                              At the time of delivery, there was a power failure at the nokia care centre. I was asked to wait indefinitely till the power is restored for the delivery of my phone, as they couldn't track the shelf where the phone is placed, without the use of computers. The service centre has been functional for more than one year and they had no backup for this problem. I had to wait for 45 minutes and leave the service centre finally as the power didnt resume.
                              All customers are asked to wait till the power resumes in case there is a power failure. The service centre staff said that they are helpless and they cant do anything in such cases of power failure and all customers have to wait till the power resumes.
                              This is certainly an irresponsible way of delivering service. The excuse isnt genuine enough to disrupt the service indefinitely. The service centres should take proactive mesaures to continue the service in such scenarios by arranging for some backup source of power as inverter or gensets to keep the computers running if they cant provide the service without use of them.
                              Dear Sir,

                              I bought Nokia 5610(music express) in April 2008.After using fortwo months its navigation key got broken(the usual problem with this hand set).i took it to Nokia Care(Noida).They got it repaired and returned the set to me after one month.After i got it back the hand set has got other problems like power lost in 1hr, hanging problem and voice inclarity.i again took it to nokia care.they again submitted it.but its of no use.still my hand set is having same problems.
                              Moreover the noika care people do not know how to tlak to there customers.they are so rude and i really feel embarrased while talking to them.

                              I bought my mobile 3 months back, since the time i have bought i am facing this problem of my mobile getting discarged immediately. I charge my mobile, it shows fully charged and the moment i remove charging it gets discharged. Finding this problem i approached your dealer/customer care

                              There started my actual problem, i had to take back the piece to the same vendor 3 times without any solution fort that. The service has been very pathetic, i dont know whether really understand what exactly is the problem, because same problem crops up everytime and i dont have a solution for that. What you should also remember is that the mobile is in the warranty perod, so in case after so many attempts if you are not able to solve the problem then why dont you just replace the piece. The psychological trauma that i have faced till now is so much that i have at last decided to go to the consumer forum. And this is my last attempt within your jurisdiction to get this issue full attention of yours and give me some solution. Please give this issue your full attention and see to it that this issue is sorted out as soon as possible.Hope this attempt is not futile. Expecting your very favorable response.

                              I am a customer of Nokia India. Few days’ back I found some problem (it was not detecting the head phone) with my hand set and give it to Nokia Care, Kolkata. After 28 days they informed me that Nokia will replace your hand set because the problem can not be solved. According to that I demand box pack but they said that it is not possible. So they gave me a 6300 hand set. They also said that this set may have problems but since the warranty period (1 year) has been expired during the servicing so they can not do any thing. Now I am facing huge problems. It is switching off frequently; some times it is getting hanged and so on. Now I want to know what I will do with this NOKIA hand set.                                 I bought Nokia Lumia last month. I am facing issues since the day I purchased it. I am not able to hear caller's voice properly many times and even caller is not able to hear me properly. This does not happen all the time but off course on many occasions. This problem happens where there is not signal issue.
                                I have visited Nokia care regarding the same, but they told me there is no issue in the phone. But when I check on internet a lot of people who have Nokia 720, are facing same issue.

                                Please suggest me how can I get my money back from manufacturer since they have launched it in market without proper testing.

                                I gave one 2626 handset to balaji UDUPI NCC ON 19 SEP 08.MY JOB SHEET NUMBER IS[protected]/080919/55.On gi ving at once they said that its a software problem n we'll have to send it to banglore.Time required will be 15 to 20 days they said .Since then i have been following them n they r just doing monday saturday teusdaY etc.

                                Such a prestigious company would be so irresponsible i had never thought .IT treats its customer in such a humiliating way, its justb god save .

                                I want my cell back any how as early aspossible whether repaired or even not.

                                Hi,Nokia Lumia, a complete disaster I must sayI brought a new phone and began experiencing the problem from the first day itself. On complaining I was told that the phone needs repairs. Even after insisting that I don't want repairs on a new phone and would settle for a new replacement, I was not being heard. Finally with complete disappointment I had to collect the repaired phone as was sent a letter stating the nokia care willmclose shortly. As expected the phone continued with yet another set of problems. This time the battery wouldn't charge and the phone kept resetting, losing imported contacts.To top this misery, the customer support centre is a pain in the neck. A bunch of , who keep putting your call on hold and come back with the same answer, 'sir, we will consult our concerned dept and get back'.I insisted that I speak to someone senior or get the details of someone who I could address these concerns, I was refused with a standard line... We will get back to you.I guess this has been the strategy to CHEAT customers and avoid attending and resolving the Nokia Lumia issues.I am surprised as i havent recd an email or an response from anyone other that the junior customer service staff. Who are forced to follow a process. Seems no one else at Nokia is listening nor botheredI am planning to go to the consumer court as i am cheated by Nokia.Even their link for email complaints does not mention lumia 710 in the phone category. Nokia, what a waste....

                                Thank you for responding. However, I am sorry to say that although I recd a call from your representative, it as only to console rather than resolve the problem. The lady on the call was kind enough to tell me to surrender the phone at the Nokia centre, she added that she would call me the next day and update me.. Although I surrendered the phone, I never got a call fro any representative till now. When I called, on 16th march, I was asked a couple of questions about my phone and then put on hold ( as usual) and then the call got disconnected.. Realising that it's a wait of time and money calling the customer care call centre, I decide to carry on the long wait..

                                Just to let you all now, the phone has gone back to Nokia for repairs...this time, Nokia tells me that the battery went defective, besides other problems in the phone.. So I have with me Two New job sheets.. One for the defective battery and the other for the defective phone.


                                Nokia pls stop doing your research on my phone and please please refund me my money..I am tired of you me contacting you and your team contacting me.. It's more that a month that the new Nolia Lumia purchased by me is not functional and keeps going for repairs. When it could not be done right in the first instance, why don't you just give me a refund. Why are troubling me?

                                  I purchased a cell Nokia Lumia 520 from Mobile Store Patna on 5th of June 2013.. After using a couple of days i experienced excess overheating in my cellphone.. I visited Nokia customer care but they said it is not a problem at first.. after using 10 more days i again visited customer care as the issue was really annoying.. on 15th june they just updated the cell n gave me back the cell.. i went there 3rd time on 27th june as the issue was not solved.. they said then that the cell will go to head office n will be repaired/replaced according to the nature of my cell's issue.. they called me on 29th june saying to collect the cell as it is repaired.. i went there to receive but i got disappointed again as the heating issue was not solved.. they said that they will send this time surely to delhi and they did on 29th june.. my cell reached after a month n i went there to collect it again on 25th july 2013.. this time also the issue was not solved..the manager himself admitted that the cell is defective and promised me to replace it and for that he needed to send it again to delhi.. on 25th july itself i submitted my cell fr the 4th time n i then went on 8th of august to collect it.. upto my dismay n harassment the cell was exactly the same n was not repaired again fr the 4th time.. they still accepted that the issue has still not been solved.. i am really frustrated by the behavior n service of Nokia.. i then took my cell losing all hopes that it will b repaired.. i ddnt expect this kind of tardy service from nokia even though my phone was brand new n was in the warranty period.. i feel cheated by nokia..

                                  I purchased one handset of Nokia i e Nokia 2626 as on June'08 after one year automatically IC of network was not working so I give it to NOkia Care Center (Life Style, Infront of Deepak Hotel, 5Civil Lines Sagar(M.P).

                                  After three days they called me told that set was not repaired as it is tempered from inside.so I take back my handset.

                                  Today I again put Sim in a handset and it is working.


                                  I just want to know if they are not able to repair that handset y they told me that set was tempered.If care centers propely not responding to customers, Where the hell customer went for reparing or any other services of Nokia get???

                                  8. I have spend Rs 240000/ on this phone and am stuck with it

The cell has purchased Just few months ago and already i have send it to the nokia care but again the problem consist and its not working (dead). I do not want a used handset.                                   Nokia — Rude behavior and did not provide warranty for the product

                                  I am writing this mail to forward a complaint to against one of the “Nokia Priority Partner” in Delhi, India.

                                  6 months back I bought a new Nokia “C6-01” phone from Nokia Priority outlet (D-154, Kamla Nagar) Delhi, India. At the time of purchase I also bought a “Screen Guard” in order to protect my screen from scratches. At that time I was told that I can use the original screen on Nokia cell which the company provides and once it gets off I can visit the store to get it replaced with the screen guard I have bought.
                                  Due to excellent quality of Nokia products the screen last for 6 months and after that I visited the store on 19th May, 2012 to get it replaced with the screen I bought at the time of purchase. On visiting the store they replaced the screen but when I asked them for the 6 months warranty they promised at the time of purchase, they simply refused to provide the same.

                                  The sales person firstly, refused to admit that he promised a warranty at the time of purchase but when I had an argument he started saying that the company has stopped providing warranty on them. But when I emphasized that its an old purchase and not a new and the warranty should prevail, he started giving other excuses.

                                  After some argument he even started abusing me and also told me that if I meet him outside he would beat me. He was very rude and his entire sales team started arguing with me. Eventually I had to leave the outlet without the warranty on the screen guard.

                                  On the whole I never expected such a behavior from a Nokia Priority outlet. The purpose of visiting a priority shop is that you expect genuine products of the company as well as a good customer service. But by seeing such a display of behavior at company’s outlet I was really disappointed. I expect that the company should take a strong action against such people else it would spoil its loyal customer base.

                                    my nokia handset 7210 is continuously having many problems. it is always being sent to the head office but there is no improvement in the problems. i have brought the handset to use but it is of no use as half the time it is with the care. so i want a solution to this problem.

                                    i had purchased Nokia C6 a PROBLEM BOX on 20th November 2010, from past many months i am facing continues problem with the device and the same was submitted to NOKIA Service Center at RTC X Roads, till now i had submitted for more than 10 times, in this 10 times one time they have sent the Device to NOKIA COMPANY (HO), after comming from HO also these are the below issues i am facing from the day one.
                                    1. Power save option is not working properly ( due to this unable to know waiting calls, cannot take conference calls, cannot any of the options, it will be in black screen.
                                    2. Hang ing issues
                                    3. system operates slow.
                                    4. while on the talk, in the power save condition the screen will go passive mode will not come to active mode to operate any options, it will be blank.
                                    5. while talk will go restart
                                    6. mobile will be active but no options will work, just need to restart to work
                                    7. while accessing mails , it will restart
                                    8. Blue tooth issue on communication , will show the communicaiton but no sound in ear phone,
                                    9.mobile will be in blank screen, while getting calls no buttons no slider will work
                                    10. network issues, when same airtel other mobile signals are good mine mobile is very poor.

                                    i am looking for a permanenet solution..

                                      I am dis appointed with the NOKIA bcoz i have visited 2 times at nokia customer care regarding defect in outer body of my Nokia C3(s. grey colour) . But they have not properly responded regarding what I do to cure the defect in my phone"s outer body. Now my friend has told me that he has replaced his C3"s outer body with same colour of mine free of cost from Nokia care centre.                                       i have purchase a new nokia C3 Handset from Janak Puri, Distt Center NPD on 17th nov 2010 on 18th nov 2010 i found that this handset having a problem with audio recording, and it has a manufacturing defect. when we shot any video on a party place where some music play on d.j. and some noisy place, the vedio recording will do fine but audio recording the bad sound its like blurrrrrrrrrrr. i have show this problem to the dealer as well as the nokia service center but they can`t able to repair. they just said that you keep your mobile with you with same problem.. .....please help to replace this handset with other or return my mony back.

                                        Your service is NOT good at all, so POOR, WORST ever probably because the technicians working there have no knowledge about software and hardwares.

                                        My Lumia 520(3 months old) has a problem, it restarts randomly once every day. Not sure when but I can tell you that it happens for sure, because whenever it restarts, the sound volume level resets to 15, and always I have to set it to 21. It is so annoying to have such a melon, so I decided to give it to Nokia Care to identify the problem after trying all those steps like resetting to factory settings, checking the battery and all other things like changing the sim card etc.

                                        At Nokia Care, they said that there is no problem with the hardware, so they upgraded the software(OS). But after returning home, I checked the OS version, it was the same as earlier, which is the latest already. Few minutes later, when I was using the phone(One Note), it restarted again.

                                        This time, Nokia Care guys told me that they are going to use the phone for couple of days to observe the behavior, then only they can send it for repairing if they find any issue. I got pissed off, asked them whether they are going to look at the screen constantly all the time. They said that is the only way to find if restart happens automatically. However, I could not let them use the phone for such dumb testing. Probably because you don't have any software or hardware tools to find out such fault! That is hilarious. I just wanted a replacement for that it you couldn't find the issue rather then doing random tests on that.

                                        Okay I am now going to live with this until I buy a new phone, won't be obviously Nokia. Till then I will suggest each and every person I meet not to buy such craps(services are poor too) to end up in such a situation. I am going to post it everywhere, whenever I find time to do so.

                                        All I need is a replacement. Again, it will be your decision whether you want to replace it or not, but one thing is sure, I will make sure that people know about it how pathetic your service is. It's again because, the technicians couldn't identify the problem, now they want to use the phone for couple pf days until they see a restart, and when they see it, probably they would send it for repairing. As per them, this proces might take 10 to 15 days. If they don't feel any problem, they would return the device without sending it for repairing. My question is, do you perform such DUMB testing on a SMART phone? What if that guy is sleeping when the phone restarts? lol. Don't you have any software or hardware to identify the fault? If no, tell me how your guys at factory going to solve the problem?

                                        Whatever it is, I need this device to be replaced ASAP, because it's just 4 months(actually less when this problem started a month back) old.

                                        Afterall, it is all about the ethics a company can have in their business. People will know about it how ethical your business is, if you talk nonsense in such cases.

                                        I bought NOKIA 3110 classic model set the phone got Software down and Memory Loss within 8 months from the date of purchase for the same i had given service to NOKIA SERVICE CENTER in 6 times,but still the problem is not yet solved, now i am seeking Replacement from NOKIA but the company has denied my request stating that "Warranty Expired" but my statement is the phone got problem in the warranty period only and the same problem not yet solved.

                                        So try to help me to get replacement.

                                        Nokia — Phone restarts again and again

                                        Dear Sir/Mam,

                                        I am Prateek Jain from Bhopal. I have purchased a Nokia handset 7230 on 21-Aug-2010 having ESN/IMEI No. [protected]. After 2 or 3 months it restarts whenever its themes are changed.
                                        I gave the handset to the authorized service center at SAMEER CARE, E-5/3, Opp. Habibganj Police Station, Bittan Market Arera Colony, Bhopal-462016, Ph:[protected]. I was following up with the customer care about my handset from 16/11/2010. Whenever I go there, a new version of Software is uploaded. But the problem remains the same. Later on the handset was replaced from Delhi, but with a new problem. The new handset begins to hang anytime. Once again it was sent and a new handset is provided to me having ESN/IMEI No. [protected] on 25-Jun-2011 with Job Sheet No:[protected]/110622/5.
                                        Restarting problem of my handset has not been solved yet. Instead of being solving my problem same reaction is given each and every time from last 7 months. Please help me.

                                        Nokia — hardware and software problem

                                        1-mobile is not working properly
                                        sometime software and hardware problem occur.
                                        2- i also go to customer care 4 time but not good response after repairing 1 or 2 days same problem occur again and again .

                                        Locating a Nokia Care Centre (NCC) is very Easy !
                                        SMS “NCC<space><City Name>” & send it to 55555, within few seconds you will receive the list of NCCs in that city.
                                        I got my device back on the same day I submitted to Nokia care, CMH Road, Bangalore.
                                        However, I don't have any Job Sheet number given. I am sending you more details in mail.

                                        I hope you are willing to resolve the issue.
                                        Till now, this issue is not resolved, I hope people should be aware of the fact what happens if they go for a Nokia Device. They should know the risk of the PAIN they could get.
                                        Nokia Lumina520 with Microsoft software updated to 8.1.
                                        Symptoms: Phone locks up and wont turn on until connected via a usb cable to a computer or charge point. or remove and replace battery and power on or connect to charger or press start button then wait 15 seconds and then press start button again. Battery discharging very fast sometimes.
                                        Date time gets messed up.
                                        Alarm un-reliable, sometimes works, sometimes does not.
                                        Phone battery area getting very hot sometimes. Hot battery - obviously overheating.
                                        I first noticed the issue immediately after updating to Microsoft Nokia Lumina 520 software revision 8.0. Internet forum cases mentioned that there were similar issues caused by the new Microsoft 8.0. Eventually Microsoft released a new rel 8.1 and an app to address the issues. This sent me on the wrong track and I presumed the problem was software related. I tried many possible solutions to hopefully get by until the software got better. I ran the Microsoft software fixer app provided by Microsoft/Nokia. Shortly after that I updated the software to their latest revision 8.1. Used electronic contact cleaner to clean the battery contacts. Tried using some backing behind the battery and also slightly bending contacts as forums mentioned bad battery contact after time in use. This due to age and mechanical vibration etc . Tried cleaning the battery contacts. Did several soft resets on the phone, which were possible in software 8.0 but seems the same technique does not work for 8.1. None solved. My service provider internet support technician was a token force.They advised to go to their local O2 / 3 phone shop. There I was told to send the phone back to their repair centre. They would wipe it completely back to factory settings and I might not even get same phone back again if they could not solve it. Naturally I did not do what I would consider a stupid move. They said that many smart phone makers products were giving all sorts of problems. For the Lumina 520 the shop person said they were not aware of the symptoms I described. Then I explained there were many same complaints on the internet forums for the main companies involved ie Microsoft, Nokia and the service provider. The shop person said they were not aware about this .
                                        Solution:
                                        To my surprise replacing the battery with a new low cost one from e-bay solved all the issues and immediately. Now the phone works correctly again. Now the battery lasts like new.

                                        Comment: I am an experienced electronics eng. This is why I did not hand my phone to the service centre, why I tried so many possible solutions before eventually finding one that solved. Hope this helps you ... Gerry (Ireland)
