All - BEWARE OF BUYING ANY PRODUCTS FROM BIG BAZAAR / FOOD BAZAAR


I bought grocery from Food Bazaar, Hyderabad City Centre - out which there was tamarind box also there in grocery. On 16th November night the day we bought it, we opened the box and we found big number of live cockroaches in the box. The person opened the box was my father in law who is a heart patient and he was stunned to see all of them over him.

We complained this to store manager next day (on 17th November 09) at around 0800 PM. We opened same box in front of store manager and area manager and we found still cockroaches coming out of it. Not even that box has cockroaches we opened another box in store which was lying for sale where in we found cockroaches in another box also.

Lots of complaint were made in writing to CEO of food bazaar and other team members, but team is SO SHAMELESS, thick skin as if they are professional in handling such cases in their regular course of action.

I personally recommend not buy any items from these chains of stores as they dont sell fresh and quality item. In nut shell, there product is like thier management only who is of no worth.

today i have purchase of Rs 1587/-from big bazaar Bill no.T53/7192 and get free TT of Rs 35/-(maggi health soups ) wich is mfg in JAN'10 and best before nine month from manufactring.How Big bazaar provide me expire date of Maggi health soup?

    your way of maintaining your loyal customers and your promotions are really silly, i would say.If this promotion is to make your green card members happy and attract them for shopping, why all this fuss of carrying a print out or showing the sms? Not everyone remembers to take a print oiut or carry the mobile or sometimes number gets changed and is not updated in your systems. But we do know there is some offer on fridays sometimes apart from the five percent. this means you want the customers to come and shop but you want to save the other promotional offer of 5 percent if customers do not bring the print out or show sms. How cheap!! and you have trained your staff to be very stiff with the customers which irates the customers more just for a mere 5 percent. please tell me after your mail n sms, how many of your customers really come and shop? maybe 10 percent or 20. cant you make them happy? so that they keep coming again and again to you and encourage others to come too? and if it is for security reasons of misusing the card, you can always ask for an identity. i was shocked to find this attitude today at your store at shipra mall. when i went for shopping, your customer desk officer flatly refused for the discount without the sms and email. how absurd! do you think every customer carrys a laptop? the card should be enough as a proof and you should be obliged to please your customers when they come for shopping. sorry to say but the services of shoppers stop is far far ahead of you guys and you have a long way to go with that mental set up of yours. you should go and see the discipline and politeness of their staff and how they treat their customer with special care. that is the reason why they have the highest number of loyal customers.

    I ahve purchased Haier 32 Inch LCD tv on 15th august 2009 from Pantaloon Bhubaneshwer by the name of my wife Suman sood at that time they offered Free Relaince Bigtv DTH with the LCD tv but its is 3 months passed DTH not installed and even not delivered now both Relaince & pantaloon are not ready to take any responcibility for the same suprizingly haier even not aware of offer

    I buy some dress from pantaloons camac street outlet. But due to miss guide by sales person the sizes are not fit. Now i ask same shirt in a biger size. But they ask eards extra money for that. Please help to solve problem

      Dear Sir,

      This is to inform you that I have done a purchase of Rs.6599/- from Pantallons Retail at South City project ,kolkata on 2nd Nov 09 at 16:45:54 from my ICICI Debit card. After that they have give a form to filled up for some special discount where I have written my details address and mob no.
      At 11.0 pm I found that I have lost My debit card. When I called ICICI customer care to lock the card
      I got informed that My card are already being locked and anther purchase has been done
      From my Debit card which was not purchased by myself.
      I meet to Pantaloons on 3rd Nov. There I found that may debit card has been swiped only
      After two & half minutes after my purchase from the same counter of amount Rs. 5597 (casher :Koushik).

      Now as I was busy to filled up the form given by pantaloons the card was not returned to me or not returned properly. As the swipe was done only after two & half minutes it shows so.

      The signature done in the slip was also not matching with my signature.The casher supposed to check the signature and should match with the signature behind the card.

      Also there is no details of the person who purchased it from my card although the cashier
      Are giving offer to make green card for extra discount & there the contact details is required.
      I have seen the CCTv also but it was not at all clear in the cash section area.

      These are the dispute from pantaloons of South city.

      I have done the FIR at Jadavpur Police station.Ref No GDE 227 dated:03/11/2009.


      I want the money Rs. 5597 to be recovered as early as possible.
      Your kind co operation in this matter will be highly appreciated.

        In Oct-2008, I had applied for EPF through IKN consultant Mumbai.In January, 2009 My EPF amount has been settled with Rs. PF - 7326/- and EPS - 4139/- but as on date it has not been credited in my Bank account.

        I am regular try to made contact with you through telephonically but no body recevied the call.

          With due respect i Binod Kumar Singh want to say that i went to pantaloon store santhacruz(West) milan subway branch with my wife and daughter for shopping.after i completed my shopping i went to pay the bill at the payment counter with my Future Prepaid Shopping Card .but at the payment counter they refused to accept the card and and it was very bad to inform you that they didnt had any idea about that.

          In this process they wasted my 3 very important office hours and also the store manager Mr sandeep Shetty and Sudarshan Partasarthy they both didnt provide me any information and had misbehaved with me very badly.in this regard i have already loged a complaint with ur share with us and my form number is 6. i had a telephonic conversation with alpana deodhar i was trying to call her at around 7 pm but her mobile phone is off .till now i have not recieved any single mail and sorry letter from your their side.

            I submitted the PF form with full details after I resigned my Job On 16/04/2008 and submitted the form in May 1st week 2008..to PANTALOON RETAIL (India) LTD (HILAND PARK BIG BAZAAR STORE, KOLKATA-700075) Office “SWAPNIL SHRIVASTAVA(HR of BIG BAZAAR HILANDPARK, KOLKATA-700075)after which he said it will take 6 to 8 months for getting the money back but I haven't received the amt. after that I contacted him, but he also resigned from PANTALOON, he told me that I’ve to contact with the new HR of BIG BAZZAR HILAND PARK, KOL-700075 Store. The name of the new HR is “AMIT TIWARI”.I contacted him several time and I called him many times, after that he gave me two mob no of MUMBAI PF OFFICE & told me that I’ve to contact with them. He is not responsible regarding my PF CLEARTION. Then I called up that two mob no, the name of those contact person are “Mr. HEMANT ([protected]) and Mr. PORSURAM ([protected]), but they told me that my PF cleared on “August 2008” and they disconnected the ph line. But till now I don’t get my PF Amount, another problem is that, on that time I don’t have any Bank account no except my Salary account no. I gave that account no, now from that account “AXIS BANK” take a quarterly charges Rs. 750 deducted in every 3 months. I’m living in Kolkata, outstation from my home. At this time I need that money for myself. They all harassed me like an animal, I spent 100 of rupees for std calls and my current AXIS BANK balance is Rs. (-)712.38. I’m really in a big problem...so I request you to do the needful and help me out from this problem...plsssssssss

            I have worked for future group home bazaar from 2009 Aug to 2010 Sep.My PF amount is not yet realeased.The company HR Vitthal is not giving any acknowledement for the same,My PF number is 38491/7166 Employee code 69599.There have been mails sent to him many times but the only reply i get is that there are no updates from the PF office.When i contacted the PF office it seems that they have not recieved the form.Please help me resolve the problem.

                I have taken a prepaid card from Pantaloons Kolkata, Kankurgachi store. Only after 3 to 4 uses the magnetic strip of the card is damaged and is not usable. The Helpline nos. are out of order. The website says contact any future group outlet and the store says call the helpline no. Further surprised to know from the website that 5% of my balance will be deducted for card replacement. Is there any help. All these big store owners are cheaters

                I really appologise for the hardships faced by you, as the call center number is down because of some technical issues at reliance infocom.

                We could replace the cards with out any charges.

                Big Bazaar outlet at Jayanagar 9th Block, Bangalore suggests that recharging the prepaid card is not happening at their counters. Tried other Future group outlets like Food bazaar and Central Mall at JP Nagar, they also suggest that reload is not happening. Also some of the retail counters at most of the Future group outlets do not have the FPPC functional. Why is future group mum at such sub standard services provided by their associates???
                I have purchased 2 Future prepaid cards from Hometown, Kolkata in November'2009 understanding that the card validity is for 1 year.

                Thereafter, while I was in Mumbai, I tried to use it but was told that this card is valid only in Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata.

                Now in June, I am back in Kolkata and when I presented the prepaid cards in Pantaloons, Kolkata they said that the cards facility have been withdrawn.

                I'm quite shocked at such a sudden withdrawal and am also surprised to note as to how can a facility which used to advertise "12 months validity" as a USP, suddenly stopped it without any notice to existing cardholders.

                I have around RS 4000 loaded in those cards- please let me know how I can redeem the card or get my money back.
                I have already given all my details to get my money back long back but still i havent yet received any money why is it being so late that to after giving all the details my name is subham goel & i too agree the abov person that how can the services been withdrawn that to without any prior notice

                future group prepaid money card — issue with the prepaid future card

                Hi,

                I bought future money pre-paid card last year. Even through it is valid according to the receipt which was given to me, it is NOT accepted anywhere in Bangalore (i tried foodBazar/E-Zone,,,).

                As per the future group outlet, this card service was withdrawn 4 months back itself. It has some money pre-loaded in it. I am extremely shocked after listening to such highly unethical business practice from future group.

                I sent them multiple emails but no response so far. The registered website for future money card itself seems to be not working. Seeing such big corporates follow these nasty business practice is really sad. Can any one suggest me next set of action which can be taken against the company.

                I got 250 rupees extra as an offer when I bought the card with 5000 Rs in 2009 november. When I tried to purchase at e-zone bangalore, they said the card is no longer valid. I raised a complaint then at future prepaid card number. They asked my details and account number. THey told they will directly put the money back to my account without the offer (250Rs). IT IS THREE MONTHS NOW and I didnt get back my money.
                IN DURGAPUR OUTLET SHOWING DISCOUNT ANOTHER N BILLING ANOTHER. TODAY EVENING I HV GONE TO BUY ONE LEDIS TOP N THAT WAS SHOWING 35% DISCOUNT BUT AT THE TIME OF BILLING THEY TOLD THAT WAS 20% DISCOUNT N AFTER THAT WHEN I GO TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY GIVE MY 1/2 hr N ATLAST THEY TOLD THIS DISCOUNT FOR THAT PARTICULER COLOUR ONLY. IS IT PANTALOONES MARKETING N BUSINESS POLICY???????????? OR MAKE FOLISH TO THE CUSTOMERS????????

                  Hi,

                  I went to Pune Central yesterday and did some shopping. I bought a T shirt pack worth Rs 599 from 2nd floor of the mall and then i went to 4th floor. There I liked another T shirt pack and exchanged it for my previous T shirt pack. The new T shirt pack cost is Rs. 498. So effectively I should be getting Rs. 101 in return.
                  When I asked for my money back, Pune Central officials told me they will not give cash back. Instead they said we will give you credit note of the same amount but that will be valid for a month only.
                  I told them i dont want to shop for next couple of months and this way you are forcing me to come to central again and do some shopping.
                  This is not ethical so kindly return my money back. But they were adamant and did not returned my money back.

                  Kindly help me on this as this I believe this is ethically wrong on the part of Stoe to force a consumer to shop from their store and this is a clear case of black mailing and fraud.
                  Kindly advice and suggest.

                      Pantaloons — loss of cell phone

                      i had been to pantaloons store at empress mall nagpur, where i tried some pants . i forgot my cell phone in the changing room itself , when i realised i came back within half an hour . my phone was ringing till the time i reached the mall but within five mins my phone got switched off. the guard appointed mrs.Anita Shambharkar just shrugged the matter stating she wasnt present at dat time. also the entire staff was quite hostile. i had a very nasty experience from the lady guard appointed.

                          I was employed with M/s Pantaloon Retail India Ltd. For the period 01.12.2003 to 30.04.2007 at their Kolkata office.I had submitted all the relevant papers for the withdrawal of my PF dues to the Kolkata office for processing. Since I was not getting the settlement I had enquired at their Mumbai office who confirmed that the papers had been submitted on 31.03.08 at your Kandivili office.I had written to PF Kandivili ofc in Jun-08 for a feedback as to the status.Everytime I have been given an assurance by the concerned in the company that the same will be credited to my a/c in 1 month.This way around seven months have elapsed but I have neither got my settlement money nor any communication from PF office as to whether there is any problem.No one picks up the phone when we call the Kandivili office.To get my rightful dues, I have been going through this harrassment for such a long time now.I request the concerned to please look into the matter.My PF No. is MH/38491/5798.

                          I was employed with M/s Pantaloon Retail India Ltd. For the period 24/02/2010 to 07/07/2011 at their uday sankar hr.I had submitted all the relevant papers on 30/10/2011 for the withdrawal of my PF dues to the H.R officer for processing, he told me that my PF will be submitted in my account on 17th march 2012. Since I was not getting the settlement I had enquired at their Mumbai office who told me that the papers had not been submitted on at your Kandivili office. This way around ten months have elapsed but I have not got my settlement money .I have also inform Sandhya kumar(HR Head)To get my rightful dues . she told me she will call back and replied soon but when she didn’t inform me then I will call her but she does not pick up the phone. I have been going through this harrassment for such a long time I haven’t got my PF submitted date .Now I request the concerned to please look into the matter.My PF No. is MH/38491/mh/38491/67633,

                            Hi,

                            I purchased furniture worth Approx.Rs.74000/- on 10/8/2008 through credit card.My advance receipt no . is [protected].
                            I was given a delivery date of 8/9/08 for my furniture( Almost a month after, the money being credited to them on 10/8/08).

                            Anyway, we kept waiting for the furniture and to our utter surprise and shock, nobody from the Organization called us that our furniture is being delayed by a week.We kept trying thier customer care no., but no avail.After a vigorous follow up, some articles were received and to get them installed, again a nightmarish experience.To add to our woes, now we come to Know that SOFA has not come and it will take another 15-18 days and wrong WARDROBE had been installed.

                            I kept speaking to Mr.Kuldeep and His superior Mr.Paras, who kept faltering their promises on some visibility on my issues.

                            Iam actually a very annoyed customer witha brand like PANTALOON, which is actually fraduding Customer's money and accruing interest for 2-3 months before delivering the goodies.

                            I would not like to commen on the quality of product but quality of Customer services is Pathetic.

                            I have been cheated on these areas and would shortly be filing my petiton with consumer court with appropriate compensation for all the inconvenience, Harrassment and money laundering bysuch comapnies, where in they are taking money in advance and not elivering the goods in time.

                            Hope, to take it forward in the beneft of all future consumers at HOME TOWN.

                            I agree with Girish's complaint...and I have also faced this Kuldeep who represents Home Town's cheating practices.

                            I bought a fresh recliner for myself almost a month back and paid Rs. 25, 000 for the same. Till date it has not been delivered even though they said that within 48 hours a fresh peice from WAREHOUSE will reach. Bloody cheats & fraudster company this. BEWARE EVERYONE, as the undersigned is suffering after the very first purchase from this shop.

                              Purchased Nirali Frying Pan from FutureBazar on May 7 to gift to Mom on Mothers day, when I was n USA.
                              Received the product well in time but the product was damaged. I Lodged a complaint and they take around 15 days to replace the product again the new product was in damaged condition.

                              Now when I reached India complaint again for the new damaged part they are saying that they replace product only with in 15 days.

                              I need refund for the same.

                                I had parked my two wheeler in the basement by paying Rs. 20/- After completing my purchases, i returned to the parking lot only to find that the helmet glass was broken. The security at the basement took me to his supervisor who was seated in a room in the basement itself. I told him that the helmet glass was broken. He only replied back saying that the security cannot look at all vehicles parked there and he wouldn't be in a position to help. Is it right to collect Rs. 20/- as parking fee if on return from shopping we find some damage? Wouldn't it be safer to park on the road?

                                It costed me Rs. 100/- to get the glass replaced.

                                    I HAD SEEN AN ADVT OF BRAND FACTORY IN TOI, HYDERABAD ON[protected]SATURDAY) WHICH READ AS - "BIG DEALS - BUY 3 GET 4 FREE - GRAB 7 FOR THE PRICE OF 3 ON 12O BEST BRANDS - LAST 2 DAYS". I VISITED BRAND FACTORY, ABIDS THE NEXT DAY. TO MY SURPRISE THE ATTENDERS WERE IN FIRST INSTANCE NOT CO-OPERATIVE AT ALL & ALSO INFORMED THAT THE OFFER IS AVAILABLE ONLY ON 2 BRANDS - INDIAN TERRAIN & ALEN SOLLY(THE ADVT CLAIMED 120 BRANDS). HAVING VISITED THE STORE, I THOUGHT I WILL DO SOME SHOPPING & FINALLY ENDED UP BUYING FOR ALMOST Rs.5000/-.

                                    WHEN I HAD INFORMED ABOUT THIS INCIDENCE TO MY FRIENDS, THEY TOO HAD THE SAME COMPLAINT THAT BF GIVES MISLEADING ADVTS ALWAYS.                                     I think when you are going to buy something then you should always keep a track on how much you are spending. You cannot blame Brand Factory if you yourself bought things worth 5000. You need to keep a tab on your budget.

                                    Moreover, legally Brand Factory's ad might not be misleading because you must have missed reading this in the ad - "* Terms and Conditions Apply" which must be in small font somewhere.

                                    So Partha, I don't think that it's misleading ads from BF but you liked so many things there that you bought them. Also, while paying the bill if you discovered that the deals were not right then you could have backed out and not paid.

                                    Ha...I visited BF many a times but that was only once I was satisfied with the offers, prices or whatever it is..that was last september ... however I observed these days shopping BF is not timeworth... better u go any shop in Himayath nagar... ex :Trendz. and the one beside that...or any outlet of KOUTON..                                     I have shoped for once in Brand Factory and found it to be misleading aswell, in the ad its mentioned that Buy clothing worth Rs. 5000 and get a crystal drinks set worth Rs 2499 in just 599... well i did thought of it once...just when i was about to pay 600 i asked the attended to show me the set, and guess what... to my surprise just at the back there was tag...which was covered with another sticker ...when we removed that i saw that the MRP is 399 only... i showed it to everyone who were present in the line...there manager said that its misprint and its the purchase price from China...we clicked some photos and asked the Manager to discuss with there main office...also threatened for launching police complain for forgery..after 1.45mins they called there main office and came to a conclusion ...and told us that they will give that as Free Of Cost for all the 27 customers...incident happened in Oct 2009, Marthahalli, Bangalore- Brand Factory.
                                    Since then i have never visited that place...also many a times u will find these offers like Open an account and get REEBOK watch worth Rs. 2599 for free or for 599...please understand these are products which are of special class..you wont find these products in any REEBOK outlets...these are only used as Free Of Cost products ...these are cheap and bears no warrenty...trust me...these are very cheap products manufactured in Indonasia and Taiwan...good to show off...but imagine if everyone gets the same without paying anything..that would be the time when these offers will fail...but till then Marketers are outsmarting us every now and then...

                                    On Sunday 12th June 2011, i went to Brand Factory at Taj Mahal Road, Abids, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh 500001 . After making the payment when we came back to home i check bills where i found that 1000/- extra was charged from me. Where i told & WAS WRITEN ALSO THAT THE PRODUCT HAD 50% DISCOUNT BUT I WAS CHAREGED FULL amount which is really unfair.

                                    Cash back given on 16th to 30th of month. that too 250 for month.

                                    all the brand costs already doubled before offer...

                                      I have transferred 100 nos shares of Pantaloon Industries in favour of new acquirers and submitted the form duly filled in with details of transaction to M/s Intime Spectrum Registry Ltd, Mumbai vide registered AD which was received on 25.02.2008. But till date the cheque/ payment against transfer od 100 nos shares as per EXIT OPTION has not been received nor i have received any communication from M/s Intime Spectrum Registry Ltd.
