I wish to introduce myself as Alfred Anand from Chennai.
I purchased BigTV package of Rs.5000 the highest package in the lot which has all the channels.The package was purchased on 01.01.2009 and was installed on the very same day.
Right from day the channels like Sun, KTV and other channels ofthe sun network went blank and the screen said that i had to pay for the channels, but when i contacted the customerservice executive via the toll free number i was told that the matter shall be imediately looked into and sorted out in 48 hours.
My request number was 85186182
Even after a week's time i was not able to view the channels and i kept calling the customer care executive for help butvery sadly till this day this problem still persist.

I somehow manageged to call up the cust care executive today (16.01.2008) toexplain te whole story and i was asked not to turn my TV on for four hours andthat there will be an online refreshing of my box which also was not done.I had to again deperately reach for the executive for help and i was told that there had been a mistake while entering mycode instead of the south pack they had updated the north pack.I have been given another request number to day after fifteen days of wait.
My new request number is 8019275.

My dear friends of BIG TV iam a very loyal customer of all the Reliance products and this is definitely not the kind of treatment that a Loyal customer should get and by not having all good Tamil channels during such festival season makes it all the more frustrating.
Kindly look into the matter and please do the needful at the earliest.

    Hi,

    I purchased the BigTv connection in October 2008 and still (14th Jan 2009) they are unable to Install the connection in Kharghar, Maharastra. They provided so many new complaint numbers and Installation request numbers before the closing but the same problem at last. I am very helpless regarding the same.

      We had bought 32 inch LCD TV from Reliance Digital on 6- Dec-2008. We were promised that service engineer is going to visit next day. No one turned up next two days and we did the installation ourself. I found the power cable loose. I looked at the invoice given to me for their service contact number. There are no contact numbers on the invoice. I thought I will visit them and ask for the replacement of power cable.

      After one week of purchase we got a call from them for installation and they were requesting for a appointment to install the TV. My wife told them that TV has been installed but we have a problem with power cable. Please come and fix it. Till date no one has visited us. Instead of that we had been receiving call every week from their service center to install TV. I don't know what kind of systems they have in place to track customer calls. Everytime they called us we have to repeat the entire history but of no use. Now no one is calling also. I have given up on the service and only option left is to go back to store and ask for my money.

      My experience with Reliance digital is very bad. There check out procedures are very slow, sales people don't kow much about the product and customer service is pathetic. I am not going to buy any item from this store in my life. From my experience shops in neighbourhood market are more professional and responsive.

      Reliance Digital Gurgaon — Misselling by Reliance Digital Gurgaon

      I bought two Asus P320 PDA phones from Reliance Digital Store located on second floor in Ambiance Mall Gurgaon. First Phone was purchased on 15 August 2008 and second was purchased on 16 August 2008.At the time of purchase, I was told that with each phone I will receive a 1GB Micro SD card and all India maps within one week ofpurchase. On receiving the same, i will need to go to Reliance Digital Store and they will install the maps on the phones and all I will need to do is to register it on satguide website and i will be good to go. I called them on 21 August 2008 to enquire about the card and maps and i was told that i will receive them maximum by 27 August, 2008. I contacted them on 27 August and representative told me that they can only provide me the1GB Micro SD Card and not the maps. I told them that i was promised maps and the card. After conversing with their store manager, the representative "Prabhat" replied that there has been miscommunication from their end. At the time of selling the product to me they were told that with all Asus PDA there is 1GB card and All India Maps but afterwards they were told that maps are not with this phone. However, Prabhat got the approval from their store manager and said that they will arrange the 1GB Micro SD card along with maps for me latest by 3 September 2008. I received a call on 3 September and Reliance Digital Store representative "Vivek" told me that they will provide me a 1GB Micro SD Card and instead of maps they will provide me some other compensation for that like a Reebok t-shirt etc. I denied the offer and requested for the maps and 1GB micro SD card as promised. He promised to revert back with the same by 30 minutes. I called him after 4 hours and Vivek replied that they can arrange the card and maps but those maps will not work on this phone. I contacted Customer Relations Manager "Mona Khanna" on 4 September, 2008 and she promised me a callback within a day but contacted me after 6 days and confirmed the issue. She promised me that i will receive the maps for my phone. I received a call from "Prabhat" and he confirmed that the maps for the my phone have been received and i can collect them. I received a call from "Mona Khanna" asking me to collect the maps for my model but when i went there it was a completely different story. They got the maps but for different model and bluntly said that they cannot provide me the maps and i can do whatever i want, pretty good customer relations manager. According to me this is a miscommunication from the Reliance end and the cost of it cannot be levied on the customer i.e. me. Kindly assist

      Reliance Digital Gurgaon — STAFF CHEATING ON OFFERS

      HI!

      I and my husband had gone to Reliance Digital at Gurgaon, on last Thursday to purchase gifts on behalf of the company. We bought products worth nearly 10,000/- Rs.

      After repeated requests to give us a good offer, we were finally told that they( the STAFF ) would manage something jusrt for us. We were quite flattered. That feeling was shortlived. We were led to a small off the side area (looked more like their store), and were told with a flourish that we were eligible for getting a gift. On close inspection we realised the offer was for everyone and that too from the company. A small UN-NOTICABLE sign was declaring the same, the more you spent, better the reward.

      Strangely nobody was being informed of this offer. A couple who had purchased a LCD before us were not told of it, even though they would have won a GOLD CHAIN. The staff seems to be in on this, and pocketing the gifts for themselves, as when we asked the couple (who had bought the LCD) if they had claimed their gift , they were suprised. They went back for it only to be rudely told that their gift had alrady been issued...... TO WHOM???? as the BILL was with them, to that their was no answer.

      My point is, IS there no one to over see WHAT IS HAPPENING, WE ARE SPENDING HARD EARNED MONEY TRUSTING A CO. LIKE RELIANCE, ONLY TO FEEL CHEATED, AND NOT WANTING TO GO BACK.

      We still have to purchase 41,000/- Rs. worth of products, but are to scared to go back

      I also suffered the same problem when I purchased a Kenstar Food processor from Reliance Digital, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon.

      Within 6 months, it stopped working. After great effort, managed to get through to so called 'ResQ' numbers, and after a few days someone came and fixed it. A few months later, again the food processor stopped working. Along with that, ResQ number also stopped working. It gets forwarded to some other number which just keeps ringing. Tried finding Kenstar's customer service, that is equally bad. They have outourced their service to some stupid company whose website doesn't even provide proper information.

      Needless to say, I have a very expensive, heavy and large paper-weight taking up space in my kitchen today.

      Reliance Digital Gurgaon — Wrong commitments

      On saturday 10/07/10 i buy carrier airconditioner from reliance digital gurgaon.At the time of billing the sales man commit to deliver the ac on the same day and will install it on sunday positively.But they fail to deliver on saturday,They delivered it on sunday and again commit that technician will install it on sunday.I tried to make calls to the numbers given on bill receipt and got the answer that its not possible to install the ac today as installation done only after 24hrs of delivery.I again make a call and talk to customer care and in return the sms me that u will get the call shortly,your call has been asigned to the technician etc etc.But not recived anycall but inreturn i had to make call again and again after all its me hedaque to install the ac somehow.

      Is this the level of service expected from reliance.As we both (me and my wife) are working so its not possible for us to be at home on weekdays.But i think the reliance customer care,sales person and all those whom i talked are not even bothered to take pain.After all its the customer problem.He only follishly beleive of all such commitments from a company like Reliance.Iam not at all happy with the kind of customer care support given to me neither the person from sales.

        My experience with BIG TV


        This is with reference to my smart card number[protected] in the name of Thulasidasappa.

        I am just bring to concern people notice, I had taken BIG TV connection almost 3 months back, at the time of installation one of your executive had come to my house and he had furnished all the formalities in front me, when I bought this connection for yearly package in that package I got 2 recharge coupon one is for Rs, 200 other one for Rs, 500. After some time suddenly the connection got disconnected, same time I had contacted your customer care people to resolve issues, with in day I got back my connection.

        And same problem had repeated in the month of 24th Nov 08, I had contacted your customer care representative on 25th Nov 08, during my discussion he was mentioning that the executive who had visited my house not recharged worth of Rs.500, he was saying we can’t do anything about this, you need to contact the same person to get it recharged my balance. Same day I contacted that person he was saying there was no issues, according to him he did recharged worth of Rs, 700 at the time of installation and he also told me that please share my contact information to your call center for further clarification, I did shared the number on 26th Nov 08.But till today I been calling your call center representative about final result, no one can able to give exact status till today.

        As customer I am suffering along with family members without watching TV from more then 32 days. And I am ashamed talk to my friends about this BIG TV connection.
        I am just not able digest this about the big companies in INDIA like reliance I don’t know whom trust this matter.

        Finally I just decided to pursue further on enquiry more about how to go about to the consumer court and other various channels to bring to the public notice about my experience with BIG TV.

        I send SMS ON 09.01.11 at 01:47pm AS CPC[protected].
        I got the prompt reply from 55454
        Dear ... Smart card number you have entered is incorrect. Please enter correct 12 digit Smart Card Number. Thank You."
        I repeated the SMS to 55454.
        Fast came the same reply.
        My mobile No. is [protected].
        I sent another SMS to 55454 in my tel : no. [protected]
        No reply.
        This is a Big Joke.

        My Smart Card Number is[protected]... fince last 15-20 days my line is down due to set top box problem... every day they are telling issue will be resolved by replacing STB by nex 2 days but that 2 days are endless...
        Also as per them there is no disconnection process or nobody can log disconnection request... rubish...
        I have logged a complaint on 24th June, regarding the set-top issue, till today no one had called up or replaced the set-top box. i have called the customer care more than 30times, send mail to nodal officer, customer care etc but nothing had happened. Everyday when i call they used to say the issue will be resolved in 24/48 hours. i am totally annoyed. the thing is that, i have done a one year recharge on jan-13 and they are saying there is no option to refund the amount for the left out period. totally annoyed. fed up... I wanted to throw this box...

          Dear Concerned,

          We had visited Reliance Digital - Vashi on 07/12/08 for inquiry on Samsung Refrigerator 345Ltr wherein the staff had explained the product details and also stated that we will be gifted a electronic rice cooker with it. We told them that we would confirm the order by next week.

          On 14/12/08 we revisited to confirm the order wherein we were escorted by some other staff and their manager. They informed us there was no gift on Samsung Refrigerator since their sale is higher & gift were offered only on rare models.
          Then too we placed the order for the same and had asked for delivery before 19/12/08 & the same was confirmed by the staff too since we had to gift the same on the wedding.
          But till 19/12/08 we did not get even a single call for the delivery of the same. On inquiry it was found that the funds from our bank accounts were cleared on so we called up reliance but they said their sofware was not updated for the payment details & they will not deliver the product.
          On 21/12/08 we recd the delivery by 12:00 noon. At 08:00 p.m. the reliance staff had come for installation & demo. But found out that the product was damaged hence they informed the same to their office & would be replaced with a new one.
          On 23/12/08 we called up reliance digital - vashi for the same, the staf[censored]nethically said to us that 'if you want urgent delivery you come here once again & select any other refrigerator brand since they do not have stock for replacement, either wait for 8-10 days for the same'.

          This type of bad / delayed service & irresponsible staff is not seen anywhere who does not care for their customers. The Consumer Forum should definitely take serious action against them.

          We have now asked them to repay our entire money back & are cancelling the order since the entire purpose has been dissolved but there is no revert from them.

          reliance digital refrigerator — irresponsible staff

          we have bought one samsung refrigerator from reliance digital secunderabad and they have told us that they will definitely install the refrigerator IMMEDIATELY NEXT DAY but no one has turned up yet and when i called some service number there has been no response of hope from you.. if this persists then I'm going to take it very seriously and it will definitely effect your business..i want I'mmediate response now..

            I also purchased with this an Altec 5.1 speaker system for rs 4699.00

            I had advised the clerk that is a wedding gift and need to be checked thoroughly.

            I was advised that the Mitashi DVD was a sealed packed and has been quality checked.

            This gift was then given out to wedded couple.

            Now yesterday they called me and told me that the DVD is not in proper condition. There are screws missing and the piece looks like a seconds piece and has been opened at some stage.

            This has made me extremely disappointed in services offered by Reliance. If I come to such a big brand to purchase something and not go the local market, the reason is only that the brand guaranteed peace of mind and good service. But in this case I have recvd neither.

            The policy of the store I now read is within 7 days.
            I am not going to the store to have an argument with the service centre there until I have a directive from the company which will not only assist me in getting this issue sorted smoothly but also taking care that I am not stressed out or harassed. I have seen customers being mistreated at this outlet itself and hence dread approaching them directly.

            Please will someone assist and guide me through this,

            I am already facing a lot of embarrassment over a spoilt gift and am very upset over the matter.

              Hi consumer don't go to BIG TV DTH

              We bought the south Package on 29 Nov 2008. They Installed on 2nd Dec 2008 in our Town ( Gingee- 604202, Villupuram District - Tamil Nadu) Dealer belong to Thindvanam region. But till on 8th Dec 2008 The Whole buyers are nit getting Pic. If we call the customer service Number[protected].. the reply is our people are working, You will get pic today evening if we call morning & if we call in Evening reply will be you will get pic tomorrow morning, , the same is going on ...I don't when will this message will become end. From 8th Dec 10.00 AM onwards even all customer service number are not Working... Really we don't know what to-do next...Our Suggestion to Consumer is don’t go for BIG TV DTH.

              i purchased big tv on 9th october 2009 but till now i dont get the services so tomorrow i am going to consumer court and purchased tata sky instead of fraud big tv they are lier so i recommend you dont go to reliance big tv

                Sir,

                My Name is Ravikumar.B, i have taken a Big TV southern pack connection from one of the autorized vendors of Big TV - Phoenix Associate, No:14, Lakshmi Nagar, Avadi . The entire amount of 2190 rupees was paid at one go and we have recepite / bill for the payment. The BIG TV men had installed both the Dish and the Set top box with the 3 days of the payment . The connection worked fine for the firt fortnight. But after the first fortnight the connection got disconnected with the message saying that we would need to subscribe for the channels message being displayed on the TV. When called the BIG TV, we were informed that the vendor had not remitted the money collected from us and hence the connection got disconnected and they would look into it. We have been calling the BIG TV office with no progress. It has been a week since we had lodged the complaint but no action has been taken by BIG TV. Now were are being asked to remit addittional money. We had told BIG TV through the complaint that we would approaching consumer forum if our connection is not restored but with little luck. The stalemate still contnuies and as consumer we continue to suffer. But the has increased my resolve to approach the consumer forum and seek justice for all the troubles that we have gone through

                i m calling many many times to customer care to start our big tv but every time customer care person say you call again after 30 min what is the reason i dont know now i m suffring
                they are toatally fools <gadhe ke bache hain sab > they came to my home took my stb that was not working it was in very good condition from out side and put a old <what u call as [censored]a hua dibba> to my home when i asked to please bring new asked me to give200 pupees as bribe .i refused so he got away after leaving that old dabba .now what can i do.

                  I had purchased LG 21" CTV worth Rs 8196/- at " RELIANCE DIGITAL" Hyderabad on 3/11/2008 through ICICI creditcard .i was told that processing fee will be 2% on the total amount & was given in print on the customer copy of the swiped .

                  when my statement came i was surprised to see i was charged 4.15% as processing fee with an additional service tax on the processed amount. its a gross negligence & deceit of the people of reliance to their customers .i wish to bring this to ur notice &kindly do the needfull.

                  I saw just now.. it was only 2% in my case.

                  RELIANCE DIGITAL - SAMSUNG SPLIT AC — NON-SERVICING BY RELIANCE DIGITAL

                  RELIANCE DIGITAL CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO:[protected] DATE 8TH APRIL 2009. DESPITE SEVERAL FOLLOW UPS THEY DONOT ATTEND. I AM FRUSTRATED.
                  Reliance Digital is one of the worst service providers. I purchased a split AC in April 2nd. Their installation people had come and placed the compressor in the balcony adjacent to the room. Very well done but the balcony is totally enclosed with glass. The hot air from the compressor goes around our house.

                  I had complained to the service manager regarding this and he said it'll be fixed immediately. Until today, I have paid 3 visits to the store and numerous calls and the issue remains unattended. Their service center phone [protected] does not work.

                  Whenever I visited the store there was a new person at the customer care desk and I explained the entire situation. They enact so well and make you feel they are really committed but what happens is they post-pone it or forget it.

                  PLEASE DO NOT TRY RELIANCE. THEY ARE MAKING MONEY AT THE EXPENSE OF QUALITY.

                  I have bought the dishtv 15 days before. I am too much frustated with your service. and i cant not use my TV till now. if i would have taken cabel connection. I might not be facing this much problem.
                  Reliance is the the the the worst service provider I have come across. They are misleading the customers with their brand anema dn good will. I purchased a LCD & Home theatre woth 44k approx. Along with this I paid another 5000 as insurance. They have taken money of 500 for LCD cover which was never given to me. Its been 6 months as of now. They promised that we service for every 3 months. I tried calling them more than 20 times each quarter but of no use.

                  The worst service provider and never believe their promises.
                  I had purchased refrigerator. It's less than 2 weeks, it got spoiled.

                  Don't trust the price. This are cheap ... THE CHEAP People.
                  DONT BUY FROM RELIANC DIGITAL
                  Have brought Bajaj food processor from Reliance Digital Store, Banjara Hills on Sept-08. The Food processor motor started giving complaints in March -09 and when complained it was promply repaired at home. Now again ( Jul-09) it started giving trouble. When called Bajaj service center, they have taken in the complaint number and thier service person had attended to the food processort at our residence. But had declined to service it as it was brought in Relinace store and as per their agreement it has to be serviced only by reliance service center. So based on this we have given a call to Reliance service center, but as it was enganged we have called up Reliance store at Banjara Hills and the complaint was registered. As the service person did not attent even after 3 days of complaint register, we called the service center number.. The helpdesk person ( Shanmugan) replies that food processor support does not have home service and the food processort has to be taken to the store from where it was brought for service.. When we tried to explain that food processor was attended at home earlier in March-09 and even now the Bajaj service men has come home to support, Reliance Service Helpdesk person ( Shanmugan) was veryy arrogant and reply that for Food processort home service was never provided by any. I have never come acroos this arrogance to customer from a helpdesk person.

                  Request Reliance Service team to improve the helpdesk support staff.
                  Reliance digital is worst customer service. Customer service number[protected] any time call busy.
                  At Reliance Digital, I've come across the most horrifying customer service and after sales support. They promise you the world, but you are left high and dry once you've purchased the product.
                  In fact any product from under the Reliance name is non-reliable, what an irony.
                  As a gesture of goodwill to all fellow consumers I'd suggest you stay away from the Reliance brand because they lure you with the promise of better pricing but it comes with a HUGE price on your experience post the sale and may all the GODS be with you if ever the equipment you've purchased was defective.

                  I recently purchased a Hitachi air conditioner on a Friday from the Banjara Hills, Hyderabad store.

                  I specifically mentioned the pathetic service I received the last time, because of which they lost a purchase. Thinking it would be better, I went ahead with the purchase only because the Hitachi dealer said it would take a week to get the particular model I wanted.
                  As usual my troubles began before the delivery.
                  Delayed by 2 days and then the center send a CARPENTER, 3 days later to install the set.
                  The service engineer calls and tells me that the carpenter is an expert on installing the machine. In spite of making a hue and cry they decided the carpenter was all that was required. So the machine was installed by the carpenter and me.
                  Later I realized that the equipment was noisy and found that the packing wasn’t removed through the manual. This was when I went through hell and back to get a service engineer to come by. The best part was the engineer who came didn’t know what to do and thought everything was fine. So I had to locate the packing for him and then he removes it and behaves like nothing unusual happened. He then almost cut the internal wires by jamming it between the covers and then slammed the covers on along with the vent lever. His excuse was that he wasn’t trained on this particular model. So I offered to fix the rest of it not wanting to damage the equipment any further and asked him to leave.

                  By the way the famous Shanmugam (Service Manager) from the other consumer blogs along with his managers Anupam Kumar (Store Manager) and Krishnamacharya (AP Head) and others called me up a few times and promised me that the issue will be fixed after 23 calls from my end, but that’s where it ends. They weren’t interested in whether it was completed or not.
                  My discussion with Hitachi revealed that the Reliance deal with them does not include the technical training just sales and service. Wonder what the service is like if they aren’t trained on the installation. Inside information revealed Reliance gets the work done through Samsung and LG AC service centers.

                  Please forward this mail to all you know and avoid any purchase as far as possible from any Reliance outlet.
                  I hope Mukesh Ambani realizes the need of a team of retail experts who understand the market and its requirements and acts quickly before it’s too late.

                  I have purchased Videocon flat screen 29’ Tv on 15/10/2009 at 1:44 PM from Dr.A.S.Rao Nagar Reliance Digital Stores. As promised by them they have delivered it by evening (Just dumped it and said technical person would be coming and explaining the functioning) at 6:30 PM. I waited for them but no response, so called the service desk, they said u can start using it if any doubt they would send some one to attend the problem.. As on today 22/10/2009 no response from them.. would like to know is this service they provide to the customers. I even tried to contact the number which was given in the booklet but it’s a WRONG number and the person who lifted the phone was very RUDE.. if this was the case then why did the print the numbers on the booklet…?.

                  One more problem when I turned on the Tv for the first time there are some pink spots appearing on the left side of the screen which gradually move towards right side bottom. After some time they disappear.. is this the starting problem would like to KNOW…?

                  I had similar kind of experience with Reliance AOC branch ... I bough a gesar & inverter and they promised me it will get installed by Tuesday 17th ... unforunately nothing happend ... APC product which they delivered is wrong..."they didnt not provide an APC trolly" instead a third party product when i asked they said will deliver in a week mean time we will fix the invertor ..when the tech came home he said there is problem with the battery ... again we need to wait for the battery to get changed ... Since, 19th Mar every 2 days I have to call up your Customer Care and get another SR raised, which again get closed/resolved the next day. You keep me informed of an SR raised/resolved via SMS but your field engineer has not even called once.

                  I have purchased iphone at Reliance digital, Banjara hills, Hyderabad. The sales guy cleverly gave me a faulty piece to me, even if it was not working. I paid teh full amount to reliance digital.
                  Only after taking teh matter up with Airtel did the reliance guy agreed to replace it with another iphone.

                  They try to cheat even at teh point of sale giving faulty piece, and one has to go to airtel and spend 6 hours for travelling and settling for new working piece.

                  actually this is a business to be done by small dealers. here Amabanis thing they can mint money. they pay high salaries to story tellers in Bombay and they keep pushing thru their stroes. showing they are big they bargain better margins (than TMC or Rajkamal) and the sellers like Samsung/ LG / Godrej would not be much interested in selling to them but for orders from their Head Offices.

                  locally then engage some one on electornic fields who ever applies and they don't have knowledge to explain. TMC has sales guys who explain everything. Reliance attracts people like you and me by dazzling glass, lighting, parking, and discounts. for this you need to pay.
                  so don't buy long term products like AC, fridge etc. buy only ready to use things like cell phones, etc. or all what you could use.
                  also the store is big with less staff, so they can't attend all the complaints. they negotiate with LG /Onida, Samsung that with out serivce make the sale as Reliance would take care of that.
                  but Reliance has not geared up there, as they pay less salaries, so who stays - all incompetent people stay. they spoil your item also.

                    i purchased a philips home theatre in a combi offer with a panasonic 29inch flat TV...till now there are no complaints in the TV..but there has been a problem in the DVD player since the first day...it creates problem in playing VCDs...philips advertises that the player plays all kind of discs including VCDs..but whenever we play VCDs, it starts hanging after short intervals...which is very irritating...it was purchased from Reliance digital, vashi, navi mumbai...when we contacted them, they said that it wont be replaced, it will be repaired philips...but since there has been a problem since the first day, i think i should get a replacement...so this is my complaint.Kindly help me to get justice..i'll be highly obliged..

                      I have purchased an Big TV with Max Pack 1yr Subscription. As per the advertisement shown and the promotions all the packages are there in max pack. But after a week of installation suddenly the NDTV package was not available in my subscription. I have called to customer care 1st time and they have said this is temporary prob and will be resumed in half an hr.
                      After 2 hr i have called when i did not received the NDTV channels and than the other guy has said you need to recharge for that package. When i enquired about that more why it is required he said he was wrong and the services will be resumed within max 24 hrs. I logged a complaint.
                      Even after 24 hr the same problem comtinued and i have call the customer care again. At that time the new guy was not able to trace my previous compaint no and than he asked me to logged a new complaint and wait for 48 hr.
                      In the mean time while discussing the bad experiance of Customer care, i daid i had made a worng decission to buy Reliance Big TV and he said " You Should Have Thought Before Purchase" . I was shocked what a ustomer Care. As i have spend Rs.5000 on this i had no other way to get rid of this but to continue. The proble is continued and after 15 days out of 7 channels of NDTV nor i am getting 2 channels and as per their policy i need to pay Rs.40 if i want the other channels.

                      I would like to request all the readers and all persons not to buy the RELIANCE BIG TV. Please save your money.

                      I have subscribed for Starter 3 (product code –[protected] month subscription in the month of March 09. When I subscribed this package, I was offered to get 104 channels including UTV Movies and Filmy (both Hindi Movie channel). I have three complaints and none are being resolved after several contacts with Big TV customer care toll free number and visiting dealer’s showroom.

                      Complaint 1: On the internet site (http://www.bigtv.co.in/longtermpacks.html#) and on Big TV help menu appearing on my TV set, its being published that for Starter 3 pack, 104 channels are offered however when I contact Customer care number, I was advised its not 104 channels its only 91 channels which I will get. Can you explain where the discrepancy is? Why are you advertising for 104 channels and providing only 91 channels? Can you list which are the channels being provided currently under this scheme? I had contacted the Big TV email support ([protected]@bigtv.co.in) many times for this query but no response was provided(attached is the email for your ref)



                      Complaint 2: Complaint ref #[protected] I had registered a complaint in regards with UTV Movies not being viewed and Big TV customer care responded saying, due to public demand Big TV has replaced UTV Movies with Filmy channel. I had paid the amount of Rs.2096/- for long term starter 3 pack, and you would remove it without my consent!!! I was not contact or consulted to know what are my requirements, then why did you swap the channel? When I subscribed this package, I was offered to get 104 channels including UTV Movies and Filmy (both Hindi Movie channel) and I need both.
                      I was promised that complaint ticket will be resolved within 2 working days and its been more than 2 working weeks without any response.

                      Complaint 3: From past 1 week, we are not able to view Sahara One and Filmy Channel. What is the reason behind it? When contact customer care, they say the service will resume in 30min or so, but its been more than a week that we are not getting the service.




                      Many of the customer care officer are so irresponsible, unknowledgeable and disrespectful to disconnect the phone without any response. They keep the customer on hold for long and just disconnects the phone after long wait. To get my contact number changed, I had to call more than 5 times. When asked what the email id to escalate / post my complaint – they responded there is no such email id! What a shame!!!

                      My sincere request is to kindly look into this matter and provides appropriate resolution to me and other customers. I shall wait for your prompt & customer friendly response.

                      It has become horrible to get connected to customer care. More than 2 hours i have been tryingto contact customer care to inform about recharging certain channels required by us, but in vein.
                      I do not know the reason for not lifting the phone to answer, only recorded msgs coming and then
                      disconnects. The service has become very poor..The Management should take care of all the
                      complaints and rectify their faults and improve the services as it was during the initial period.
                      Otherwise they may have to close down the Reliance Big TV services and people will opt for
                      other better services rendered by other TVs.

                          I had Visited to the Reliance digital on 29-10-08 at Shipra Mall Indirapuram and while having a look at the different products a Sales Man came to me and convinced me that there is a 0% finance scheme on Sony products and you have to pay only Rs.3783 on the monthly basis and after accepting the reasonable deal I purchased the product. The Billing department took my credit card and swiped it for Rs.22, 700/- and confirmed me that in the statement your EMI will be mentioned.

                          Surprisingly I received the statement of my credit Card dated 06-11-08 in which the Bank asked me to submit the whole payment of Rs.22700/-. I was shoked as I did not have the money to deposite. I rushed to the Reliance digital & contacted Ms. Rajni who gave me the No. of Mr. Rishi who promised me that the problem will be solved with in 5 days but he never gave me any call and whenever I tried to contact him he talked in very bad manner and finally told me ok it is our fault and do what ever you want to do. When I requested him to give the Senior Officer's No. He stately refused. After this shoking experience of Reliance Digital I advise all the consumer to not to Purchase any product for the Relaince Digital. Now I am trying to contact Consumer Forum to get consumer rights. I will no leave this matter unattended.

                          1. They do not operate timely, they made their delivery one day later because of rains and then they came without any warning, and i had to rush from office to receive the delivery.
                          2. The delivery refused to install the firdge and they told me that a technician would come to do it (they ask for tips as well shame-facedly!!)
                          3. It takes a lot of time to connect on the phone numbers that they provide beacuase it is a single line.
                          4. On the phone, they told me that there will not be any technician coming for a single door refrigerator installation.
                          Now I have to arrange for someone to unpack the refrigerator as I don't think I will be able to manage it myself.
                          5. Also, the delivery people tilted the fridge and they carried horizontally into my flat. I always thought that a refrigerator should be held upright beacuse there is a chance of the compressor malfunctioning otherwise.

                          I purchased a LG 32lg80fr LCD TV from Reliance digital Hyderabad. They had put some 4000 Discount on the model whose price is 40990. They delivered me a Piece having a huge round scratch behind it. I asked the reliance to replace the piece. But they are saying that the discount was for the display piece and also for the damage. they are not even Speaking properly to customers.

                          I purchased Samsung m.w.o grill GW73VD on dated 24 Jan, 2010. Bill - C1006, # 0069 at Reliance digital Retail Ltd., 74, Ist Floor, Cunningham Road, B'lore - 560 0052.
                          They are not even speaking properly to customers & cheat us regarding MRP on the box mentioned Rs. 5, 890/- but they charged Rs. 5, 990/- and I got scratch card for Rs. 300/- that also they didn't give us.

                            With reference to the above subject, I would like to bring into your kind attention that, I have subscribed to BIG TV in the month of May 08. The BIG TV offered 03 months free subscription. After passing period of 03 months, the services and channels have been locked from 19th Aug. 08 by BIG TV Center. At that time I had Rs. 50 balance in my account. Since this time, it is inactive. 04 days before writing this letter (i.e. on 20th Nov. 08), I asked to Customer Care about my account balance, the C.C. executives replied that there is Rs. -270 (negative). It astonished me. I asked for detailed account. But he failed to do so. In reply, he just said that you have use the services and channels more than 03 months. How could I do this ? As the channels were locked from BIG TV and I have no controlling over there to restart it, without making recharge. Now after passing 02 days (i.e. on 22nd Nov.08), I again asked for the reasons behind negative balance, he fails to give answer but he said that you have Rs. -725 (negative) balance in account. Just 04 days before, I have Rs. -270 balance and now, I have Rs. -725 (i.e. Rs. 455 were been credited to my account).
                            One thing is not clearing me that, Whenever I click to any channels, a message appears that please subscribe to the channels. i.e. the channels are locked. And if I am not using the channels and services from you, why the monthly subscription is being charging to my account. Its just ridiculous.
                            Please, send the monthly statement of account of my Subscriber ID also clarify (reply) and find the reasons behind charging monthly subscription without viewing the channels.
                            If you fail to do these, I will have no option except to go for it in Consumer Court. Also send me the details about surrendering BIG TV Services. (Must be shameless for you.)
                            An early action is anticipated in this regard.

                            i am from tuni near vizag dist and i want to know about my account details and the screen is showing i have to recharge with in 48 hours of time and the coustamer care no is not available please send me my account details my card no is[protected]
                            I agree this is a big fraud. This problem is there with all satelite TV vendors. None of the local staff or the call center are aware of this rule or are acting smart. I went for Airtel. The moment I paid the initial amount the lady over the phone informed me that after the free period the rental charges will be Rs 9 per day i.e. whatever is the initial monthly package (during free period) selected divided by 30 days.The guy sitting in front of me was saying otherwise till I handed over the phone to him and asked the lady to explain the rule to their own employees. There is a Safe custody option wherein they charge 1 Re per day. It seems this has to be used if the customer is not using at any time after the free period. That means you still landup paying Rs 30 per month for not using any channel ! However this is not comunicated anywhere intentionally because otherwise they will not get customers. This is ideal case for consumer court.
                            The same is happening with my account too.

                              sir/madam,
                              My name is Kartikey pratap singh, I am a customer of reliance digital.My address is Chetana boys hostel, Room no.- 106, # 2, jaladarshani layout, M.S.R nagar new BEL road, Bangalore-560054.I have to raise a course of action against "Reliance digital pvt limited, Cunningham road, Bangalore".On the 17 Sept. 2008 at around 2:55 pm i bought a Philips 42" inches(42PFL7482) full hd(1080p) from reliance digital .

                              After 2 days i start facing problem with that:-

                              1)Images are very blur and hazy when we connect it with HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port/connector

                              2)Images have very highly contrasted and sharp due to which I have problem like black out in eyes

                              3)Display lights are start fluctuating often

                              4)Components are not working at a time.( PC and HDMI components)

                              In that spam of time( 29 Sept - 14 Oct) i walk in to reliance digital and told about the problem to concern salesperson.then he suggest me to buy a new HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connector/cable.we buy HDMI cable of around Rs.7000/- almost.

                              After buying that also PROBLEM REMAIN SAME .due to some problem i won't able to contact to them.

                              Then, I again walk-in on 31 Oct 2008, and raise a complaint against this defect and ask for rectification. Reliance digital resQ team assure me that within 4 working days Philips service center send a concern person at my place & he will rectify it .BUT NO ONE CAME
                              after 15 days I again went to reliance digital and ask regarding my complaint .then he said he raise the complaint online to Philips customer care on 31 Oct itself but nobody responded till know.
                              Then i ask him to give complaint no. he said complaint was being register by his backend people& he have to ask him.then when i am full frustrating by waiting and sitting helpless and ideal in front of him .i walk out from there.

                              On 19 Nov 2008 Reliance digital send his own person he promise me that he again raise a complaint .he said they didn't raise a complaint on 31 Oct, they raised complaint 1 week earlier (on 12-14 Nov). Now in front of me he again raise the complaint and given me the complaint no.and ask 3 days time. i gave him three days.

                              On 22 Nov 2008 Philips authorized service center send his person.in last when i ask him "Is there any complaint regarding me you receive earlier ?" he said "NO" this is the first complaint they receive regarding you(me).That persons are telling lie to me for last 22 days.that means they enjoy that his customers are suffering like that and wasting their money on craps

                              NOW I NEED COMPENSATION AGAINST MY MENTAL PRESSURE AND NOT PROPERLY TREATING AS A CUSTOMER AND TELLING LIE THAT IS I NEED "SONY BRAVIA TWO 52" INCHES FULL High-Definition" AND "PHILIPS NEW MODEL AND VERSION OF 42" INCHES FULL High-Definition" AGAINST MY 42" INCHES High-Definition FOR WHICH I HAD PAID

                                I have purchased Big TV DTH some time on September end. I swithched over from Tata SKY, after I fed up with them. Almost after 2 weeks it stopped working. From 06/11/08 to till today every day I am calling up the customer care and nobody is bothered to address the issue. Yeterday one guy called up and told he will be visiting me today, but he has not turned up. Please see the mails in this regard. Please please stay away from BIG TV. Now I feel the local 'goonda' cable guy is much better than the coorporate thiefs...

                                Please don't keep booking new calls, it would be better to keep the same reference for my complaint till it is called. If you go below and see, already there are 2 calls registered. When I called the help desk there is a call which is booked some time on 08/11/08 or 09/11/08 the call number is 79917493. I would like to keep track of that call, instead of keep registering new calls.

                                Thanks for all your mails, but till today my problem remain unaddressed. I am more interested to get my system up and running at the earliest, rather than keeping calling you, as a customer service executive you may know that.

                                Yesterday some body called me and called, he will send his technician, but he has not reached yet!!!. If there is no action I would be registering a complaint with the consumer forum tomorrow. This is the final correspondence to inform you about the same.

                                Hi,

                                My SIM card No is[protected]. Recently I, switched over to Big Tv from Tata Sky thinking that this will be much better than Tata Sky. Even though I was not happy about Tata sky, I never had such disappointing experience from them.

                                I would like to take your attention to the pathetic state of your customer service.
                                I lost the connection on 08/11/08 (Saturday) night with a message 'Signal interrupted due to rain etc" or some thing similar. Since it didn't come back till Sunday morning, I called up the customer service to complaint and the lady told me it is the problem across the Bigtv network and it will get rectified by evening on it’s on and didn't take the complaint.

                                I waited patiently till Sunday night, 10 pm and called up to complain, again they told me to wait for 10 min as they are resetting something and asked me to remove the SIM card, clean it with good cloth, reinsert, remove the power cable, wait for 1 min and then plug in etc, again no complaint is taken. I called up again around 10.30 pm, the same story of 10 pm repeated. The same story repeated at 11 PM also. I was tired and slept.

                                On Monday morning around 8pm I called up again to complain, the same story repeated, but more rudely when I told him tI have done all these activities and told him to do something else.
                                Then he told me to press the power button on remote for 1 min and then restart, then remove the receiver connection from behind and reconnect. Then go to the set up option and check the signal quality. It was found the signal quality is poor. Then he told me to go and check/set the connection on the receiver, I told him that i am not the technician to check and do the same and asked him to register a complaint. He told me, then that I have to check all these things my self, but he told he will register the compliant and asked me the contact no, alternate number etc, I gave both. Then he wanted the full address, I told him all the info should be available in the system, as I have provided all the details already. The 'gentle man' by name Mr. Muthu Raj, told me I am a 'Waste' ( I don't know what he meant by that. Is that only 'waste' people buy Big TV! or only waste people complain!! Or is it the standard way to address the customer!! ) and disconnected the phone. Then I called up again after 10 min and the lady 'Meena'' confirmed that the complaint was been registered. When i told her I wanted to register a complaint against the CSR, and want to speak to the manager, she held the line for 2 -3 min and told me no mangers are available and some body will call me. A 'waste' me kept the phone down and called up again in the night (Monday night around 10-11 pm) to check when the complaint will be acted up on and one Ujwal told me it will it will take 48 hrs, I told i need to speak to the manger, even though he was not ready initially, he connected to one Mr. Naveen and i explained the whole 'Waste' story to him. He promised that he will take it up and solve the issue ASAP.

                                Since on Tuesday till after noon since there was no action I called up again, they told 48 hrs is not yet over and it will be done with in the period. I waited till today 4.25pm and called up the customer service, as the so called 48 secret hrs were over, to my shock, she told me the complaint is closed!!!. Yes, it was a real 'WASTE effort.

                                Could you please let me know what I should be doing in such a scenario? I should wait for some action from your side. Please advice. I am a helpless customer of your Big service.

                                I have made all the calls from[protected] or[protected] and Complaint no is 79917493, if you are going to track down the issue and want to improve the customer service. These experiences make me think twice when some body asks me about the comparison between Tatasky and Big TV or when think about the data card or any other service from Reliance -ADAG.

                                I sincerely hope this could be an abrasion in your customer service and you will do all possible things to weed out such CSR, and solve the customer complaints.

                                Recently i had purchased three recharge coupons and out of which only 2 of the cards got recharged but one of the card worth 100 rupees did not get the recharge done

                                Please note the serial numbers for the recharge cards mentioned below and find out if the recharges can be checked and the same are credited to my account.

                                  Dear Sir/Madam,
                                  I have installed BIG TV in the month of March (Card No:[protected]. In the screen it shows that the sucriber is not available. I had contacted twice the customer care and booked the complaint with Mr. Mohan & Mr. Sandeep (Complaint No:[protected] &[protected] on May & June 2009. After the followups with customer care, no action is intiated.
                                  I would appreciate if some one from your side take initiative and do the needful. Hope there will be customer satisfaction at the earliest.

                                    I have been having issues with Big TV signal Quality. Most of the time it says poor Quality signal and no channels show up. I have been calling the customer care for more than 3 weeks now and my issue has not been resolved.

                                    A good joke is that some one from their end has closed the ticket saying that they spoke to me and the issue was resolved where i had not received any contact on that specified date.

                                    I would rather provide a Negative feedback on the Quality of service provided by Big tv. Bangalore.

                                    Resolved by throwing away the connection and moved to airtel.
                                    I have been having same issues with Big TV lost signal.                                       I have taken BIG TV subscription on Multiple Set Top Box Scheme in which installation charges Rs 500/- will be discounted on second set top box. My smart card no. of both the set top boxes are[protected] &[protected]. On the first connection I have paid 2990/- & for the second one Rs 2490/-. On both I have chosen PREMIUM PACK for six month which is under the offer by the company. On my smart card no.[protected] they have activated POPULAR PACK.For which I have made complaint on their toll free no. on 03rd NOV 08 the complaint no. is 79408318, the complaint has been rejected because their executive has not mention that my connection is under Multiple Set Top Box Scheme. Again I have registered second complaint on dated 08 NOV 08 under complaint no. 79815468. But my compaint is still pending.The company is claiming for solving of compalint with in 48 hrs but in my case almost 9 days has been passed. Kindly help me out.

                                      Please note that I have made a BIG mistake by buying big tv.

                                      I have mailed earlier also but no reply and no solution as well.

                                      My id is[protected].in the name of Navin Bansal.

                                      On 24 OR 25 Feb, I called cce & inqured about different packs available. the cce on the other side informed about a pack of Rs.196/- and even informed about the negetive charges of Rs. 24/-. She said altogether you have recharge of Rs.220/-. I was satisfied.

                                      In the evening at 2030 I recharged my Big tv with Rs. 225/- & called cce to inform to activate my big tv.But the person on the other side said it will take 4 hours to activate.So you call us after 4 hrs and then only we will activate your Rs.196/- pack. I even said that you note down my request and activate it after 4 hours, but the man on the other side said you have to call us.This is not my job. Never Mind.

                                      On next day morning again I called cce and asked them to activate my big tv, but as usual a new problem, lady on the other side said that it is not possible to activate Rs.196/- pack on your big tv because your total available balance is Rs.195/-. You have Re 1 less in your account, so you have to recharge with Rs. 10 more in order to get Rs.196/- pack & again call us to inform about the recharge.( MARTA KYA NA KARTA) I also did. (recharged)

                                      After recharge I inform them and asked them how long will it take to activate. she said 10 min.
                                      I was happy thinking finally I made it.

                                      In the afternoon, I come to know that the BIG SMART guys have activated Rs.110/- pack on my big tv.I again called cce & informed about this but they say nothing can be done now.YOU HAVE TO BEAR US FOR 1 MONTH.

                                      HA ! HA ! HA !!!
                                      what a BIG fool you make of people.

                                        The interface is very bad and the switching of channels is too slow that at times its very frustrating .

                                        Have complained many times at customer care but i think that they are not able to solve the problem as they always tell useless methods and try to avoid !!

                                        Till now, big tv is hopeless.
                                        I have bought Big Tv and Iam not getting the channels as per my scheme and whenerver I call up customer care they say their SLA is 48 hours, but that 48 hours wont never come...Iam really afraid that they are just ignoring every complaint...Anyonne has got any idea about where to register case against this...

                                        3. I've taken new connection BIG TV on 9th of October; it was working fine with all the features. On 03 of November Major Channels it automatically went off,

                                        4. I have made a complaint in customer care time and again ...The complaint no are 79422874 dated 04 November 08 and 79519124 dated 05th November 08 and interaction ID[protected] dated 09 Nov 08.

                                        5. But till now they didn't turn up to resolve this issue, every day I have to give wakeup call to listen their excuses, and I have to obey their immoral commitment.

                                        6. This is really ridiculous and no way acceptable, enough is enough...! please take out your connection and get my money back .

                                        7. Even I have spoken to Supervisers Named Miss Usha on 08th Nov, 9th Nov Mr yogesh and Mr ferozshaikh on 11 Nov But till now no action from Big TV.

                                        8. I can only say to the public PLEASE DON'T BUY " BIG TV ", and don't become a victim LIKE ME.

                                        I have bought BIG TV on 19th November 2008. From day of installation my STB is not working properly. It goes in hang mode. I have called many times to customer care but every time they told me that this problem will rectify in some times. But problem is as usual. My STB working too slow and many times it goes in hanging mode. At that time I am anable to change the channel and more on. For get rid of this problem i have to switch off my STB from electric board and again restart it. It takes too much time. I think it's worst DTH service of India. I want to replace it from any other DTH service available in India. Is it possible? I will give antenna and STB to other DTH provider and they will installed his antenna and STB at my home.
