Sir,

1. I a govt employ and I have my Salary account in the Chittorgarh, Rajasthan branch of State Bank of India.

2. I logged into my internet banking account on 13 July 2014 evening and to my shock I found that three transactions of Rs 56, 018.84 and one transaction of 28, 009.42 have been carried out without my knowledge. The sum total of all four transactions amounting to Rs. 1, 96, 065.94. Account transaction details are as follows.

3. I have Mob. No. [protected] registered with my account and surprisingly I did not receive any alert for such a huge amount of transaction. Nevertheless, on enquiring the reason for such default, the bank excused itself on account of some problem with information system of the bank. This clearly indicates security compromise with SBI’s site or online banking programmes.

4. When, I contacted an SBI helpline through phone, they could just block my cards and nothing else. They told me to contact my home branch and that my home branch only would be able to help me, here I do not understand that in this era of core banking why contacting home banch on Sunday was required and why was anything not done through customer helpline. Such lack of immediate action on bank’s part made me go through state of extreme helplessness and mental stress.

5. When my father approched to the branch manager of my home branch as I am posted to far off from my home and it was not possible for me to personally approach them, the branch manager inturn said that it was customer’s fault and the bank has got nothing to do with it, which as per my opinion is not at all a satisfactory reply.On asking that why the message for transaction was not received on the registered mob no., the branch manager replied that something would have gone wrong with their system. This reply in itself was alarming to me as, if I would have got the messege after the first transaction itself I would have blocked my card and the netbaking facillity through the banks customer helpline and would have saved the rest of the money, which could not happen.


6. On searching the internet, I found a few more cases of such kind and similar transaction IDs.ie. (POS PRCH TARGET CANADA –SAINT-LA), similar type of account, and the same kind of card ie. SBI GOLD MASTER DEBIT CARD, which has happened most likely because of info leaking on bank's part which points towards security lapse on a larger scale, which needs to be investigated thoroughly to prevent loss to innocent customers .

7. I further press upon the fact that I have not done any of the above mentioned purchases and my card lies with me in absolutely safe custody. The bank has failed to ensure the security of my money and this all has led to physical and mental stress and agony. I request you to enquire into the matter and arrange for immediate refund/credit the said amount to my account

Hi,
My relative Ajay Kumar Singh, who is in Mumbai, is also a victim of the same fraud.
He got 3 messages from 01:50 AM to 01:54 AM about shopping on Target Canada T3769.
A total of 3 transactions were done of amount 5598, 5598 and 72020.
I talked to Target Canada customer care and they say that they don't sell stuff online. You have to buy it physically.
They did not take any further action and said its upon your bank to investigate and take action.
Can anything be done about it?

I have the same experience on my savings account.
Actions to take on such fraudulent transactions:

1. Immediately contact Bank and block debit card.

2. Logde FIR against this.Ask for refund and compensation for trouble caused by insecure bank transactions.

3. Complain to cyber cell branch

4. These transactions give payment to online shopping portals.Contact their customer support and give transaction details.

Banks are responsible to give you refund and compensation.

    In jaipur branchsof s.B.I is not accepting cash deposit below then
    10000- they are saying you have to deposit this much amount only to eko
    Counter . I want to know is that any such rule to not to depositing cash
    Below then 10000- in s.B.I. And the eko branchs are asking for two percent of total dipositing amount. Is there any rule for this type of additional charges.

          I have done an online payment of Rs 1000, it was done successfully & i recieved a transaction reference message from BX-SBIINB with transaction ref no- IGW7982034. But payment was not done and amount deducted. I have checked my account summary, it is showing the after deduction amount and not showing the transaction in last 10 transaction.

            Hi, SBIcard service agent approached me for credit card application to whom I have shared the requested documents. On 4-jul-14 I received msg" Congratulations! Your SBI Card App No.[protected] has been approved. Card will reach you in 7 working days. You can now manage your account online at www.sbicard.com" On 10-jul-14 I called the sbicard customer care regarding card delivery, they said I will get card within 7 days On 11-jul-14 I received PIN from sbi card, again I called sbicard customer care on the same day and said that I received PIN but I didn't received card they again didn't give any proper response. On 13-jul-14 I am receiving msg from SBIcard "Your Statement Dt 11-JUL-14has been dispatched. Total amt due of Rs 673.04 or Min Amt of Rs 274.04 is payable by 31-JUL-14.- SBI Card. View last 1 yrs statement & manage your account online at www.sbicard.com" How can sbi request payment from me when I haven't received card from them and didn't do any traction. This is totally fraudulent activity. How can they do this even after all the RBI guidelines. I need clear response and action, reversal of transitions during which I never received the card. ( sms message says statement date is 11-jul-14 but till now I didn't received the card)

              Sir one of the staff in sbi brach at air force campus always misbehave rudely with customer . He often threatens customer and me that he will complaint to campus commanding officer about customer.

              He has told in front of me about an air force personnel who was from north east that these people takes loan and always ran away. He threatens air force employee that they will not get promotion if bank will write letter to commanding officer.

              He has denied to verify signature and update on system my hdfc ecs mandate form.Then start fighting with me that dont threaten all about commanding officer . Sbi mharajpura branch staff person name is perhaps mr . Ramswaroop. But iam not confirmed about his name.

While i have not done any shopping or Transaction etc for same amount. I didn't receive any sms of Rs. 1900 debited from my account on my REGISTERED MOBILE NO.. I didn't share my account details(Debit card password/code) to anyone. Till now I have done many complaints to SBI Team, but still I didn't get any satisfactory reply from them. I also made a complaint with Ticket no. PO[protected] dt. 06/05/2014 for the same. But SBI closed my complaint without solving my problem of the same transaction. Already 70 days are over but still I didn't get my money back. Till now I am very frustrated with the SBI services. My home branch is also not helping me in this matter.                         SBI is giving me conflicting and mis-leanding information. As per the previous conversation and the written statement they have offered me to convert my total outstanding payment into 24 months emi. They confired that I've to pay Rs 5558 per emi for 24 months after adding 10% in the total outstanding payment. This was confirmed in the call from the collection department.
                        Now, they're stating me that I've to pay minimum due plus emi amount (confirmed was Rs 5500+minimum due). All the time I'm getting conflicting information and it's a shame on SBI being a government organization. Due to them my credit score is severely affected and they're responsible for this. Please take the necessary action against them and please make me out of this situation. I'm fully dependent on you. Please be assured, I've a will to pay but I'm facing financial hardship at this time. That's the reason I've requested them to convert my payment into 24 emis. I'll make a payment of Rs 5558 per month as promised by the collection agent in the first call. That's all I wanted. Please look into this. Also ask them to rectify my cibil as it's affected due to their lake of help.

                            I Saroja Muttanna Palled having the account in SBI Belgaum Main branch Camp since 10 years SB A/C [protected]. and i am staying in Bangalore since 6 years along with my husband Muttanna, on 7th of April 2014 while checking my account through online came to know that 80, 000/- amount has been deducted in Mumbai location ATM on 24/03/2014 through ATM WDL-ATM 4815 SHREE TOWER PLOT NO 16 NAVI MUMBAI IN- and ATM WDL-ATM 6026 ITM HOSTEL KHARGHAR NAVI MUMBAI IN-Immediately on 07/04/2014 i have logged the complaint with customer care and called to belgaum branch ( manager Naganand) and informed, as they suggested to send the mail to branch id and give the police complaint. Immediately we have sent a mail to branch and given complaint in Vijayanagar Bangalore police stationComplaint No: PS PS GSC No is P[protected] and SBI complaint under Ticket No:OP[protected]. After 4 months bank is telling that ATM Card with you and pin with you, hacker has hacked your debit card no and pin and withdrawn the money hence bank is not responsible because its successful transaction and bank will no do any investigation pls check with police or go for consumer court... need your help regarding the same ThanksSaroja M Palled[protected]

                                I would like to inform you, I am not able to use SBI Internet Banking since last 3-4 months, as i am unable to receive the high security password during online transactions.

                                Once i had changed my mobile number, which was registered with Internet banking, later on, i have updated the same in my home branch. I am getting SMS alerts of every ATM Transactions and when salary posted but while Internet banking still not getting high security password.

                                Visited Branch office, as per them, i submitted my KYC forms and all required documents, They said, i will get the same after 48 hours, but actually nothing has been do

                                      The SBI credit card which I used expired long time back and didn't get renewed. Still they are sending bills with a amount of more than 2000 every month . The actual amount which I had to pay was Rs 15. I am not sure how the bill exceeded more than Rs 2000.Sincy card is expired, I cannot pay online. When I call the customer care, they will tell to come to bank and each branch tells go to different branch. This is like taking extra money from customer and even the customer is ready to pay, they are taking advantage of his patience. Please contact me at [protected] to resolve my complaint.                                         Am getting regular calls from various employees of SBI regarding irregularity in my home loan account. Am asked to come to the branch. Leaving all my work, I go to the branch to resolve the pendings. They are not able to find the irregularity, but nothing could be explored. However, as I could see am being charged 10.40% interest, instead of current interest of 10.15%. Also my EMI is almost Rs. 2000 more than it should be. The staff agrees when i am there but forgets as I leave. I have been sincerely paying my EMIs, but these people are compelling me to default. SBI has no facility for online complaints for home loan. Please help !! Himanshu
