When I Go to BHUBANESWAR MAIN BRANCH of SBI They told me go to GOVT. TREASURY of SBI, BHUBANESWAR.When I Reach and told them to open a account they told me to go R.C.E.CAMPUS, BHUBANESWAR.When I reach and told to open an account they told me to go BHUBANESWAR MAIN BRANCH of SBI.

What can I do or How Can I open an account in SBI.PLZ Help me as soon as.

Cash Deposit between Branches — Charges to deposit money!!!!

Wow this comes as a shocker! Guess nobody is actually complaining. This one is a classic!!
I go to deposit Rs. 1500 at the behest of a friend to Vijaya Bank, Residency Road. I need Rs 1500 to reach Vijaya Bank in Sakleshpur, Hassan Dist (180 km from Bangalore). I fill in a blue form and think that the procedure is over. Once I reach the cashier (after a 30 minute wait in a Queue), he tells me there is a charge to deposit money, and I need to fill in a DD form !! I ask him why? He tells me thats a 'Board Decision'. I need to pay Rs 20 more on the deposit of Rs 1500 (that is going into Vijaya Bank itself). However I have to leave the bank (there is such a huge queue that the first time it took me 30 minutes to reach the cashier !) I leave and then decide, that being a busy day I will approach a branch on my way to another assignment.
I enter Vijaya Bank, Shantinagar at about 2:30pm the same day and to my surprise the cashier there tells me that I need to pay Rs. 40 over and above the Rs 1500, that I need to transfer (confusion???). I reach the Senior Manager and he too looks confused too, but agrees with the cashier ;). I approach the cashier with a look of frustration and tell him that it is pretty ridiculous! that I pay for depositing into the same Bank. I get a comment that this is not "SOCIAL BANKING' and that charges are applicable! Wow ... so much for Customer Service etc ... I guess the Vijaya Bank employees need to know that getting a job like theirs is in itself 'SOCIAL SERVICE'. They are nowhere near standards that are even 'acceptable'!! Its a shame that there is such a snob attitude and total lack of 'humanity' among this lot !! A BIG SHAME!!

You're right Mr. Sengupta. I've also faced this problem when i had to deposit some money in my account from a nearby bank at my home (my account is in Patny Centre, another branch which is a little farther from my home). They had charged me Rs.25 for my amount was less than Rs.5000

i want to know about the transaction charges applied for the online payments from my international ATM card of SBI. any body can help me?

With reference to the above I have deposited cash for Rs.2000.00 on 09.07.2009 towards the purchase bills. You have charges Rs.110.30 as cash deposit charge in my account. Usually I am making the payment through auto debit with my ICICI Bank savings account. This is the first time I am making the payment by cash. Actually I am not ware of the cash payment fee for cash deposit. In this regard I humbly request you to waive off the said charges from my account.

The same problem faced by all the A/c holders of SBI. Only option, we should cancel our account and open in other nationalised banks.

As a policy, SBI is always non consumer friendly.

With increasing competition, atleast they should come forward to help their a/c holders.

I also faced similar problem. I have decided to withdraw my a/c from SBI, only because of the "other bank charges".

if the huge deposit will deposit in SBI for 10 years what is persantage to the funder ? what is commission of middle man?

Syndicate Bank is also charging like this. It is better to address the grievance to RBI. I donot think bank may charge on depositing the cash.

I think nowadays all nationalized banks are doing this because they need to compensate the loss happening with the latest interest calculating regulation posed by RBI. They are loosing money in monthly interest calculations so this way they are trying to gain..

But it is simply destroying the sole purpose of Core Banking..

The trend these days is to first offer the consumers with some service and when they get used to it start charging for it. Initially it was free of cost. the basic requirement is that they should be satisfied with the profit they make out of lending money to borrowers at double the rates they pay to the depositors. But now they are not satisfied by it. They want abnormal profits and the employees want fat salaries.

The fact is correct . I too closed all my transactions with SBI .Being a largest bank in the country, it should be an example for consumer friendly to other banks but SBI is not so consumer freindly .

My name is Anvesh One day I faced the same problem in state bank of India for depositing 500rs in my own account they are charging 25rs for that .If I asked in SBI they are telling that service charge for transferring money in to home branch . They are charging money for just sitting in front of Computer and transferring money . when they are going to realize the customer problems ?

I completely Disagree to those people complaining against SBI. As it is the Largest Bank in India and Hold a very good Position in the Global Banking Arena Too some of the Opportunist People and some of the Banker of Privaised Banks are Spreading these Mal-Thoughts among people.

Actually all the Nationalised banks following the RBI norms and Guidance to Potentialize the Money market to the Depriving ecomonic condition of our country.

And my dear friends, you should know the Service charges taking by the private banks are more and more than your imaginations and they are not providing Service... They are doing their Business and emptied your pocket in such a way that all the time you are repeadedly cheated and cheated. Poor you Poor your thoughts... Ridiculous..

I am customer of SBI. 30 years I enjoyed the service of SBI.. And I feel Homely... One day When you wake up and realize what SBI is and Will be in that time, You will Worth my Words...

I also faced same problem. They have cut 30 rs for non home branch for deposit money to my account and 10 rs for pass book entry in non home branch. What a rubbish... At one side they are advertising their core banking, mobile banking etc. on big big hoardings and inside they cut this type of hidden charges. Other government bank is also there in our state but they are not charged for non home branch. Bank of india is one of the best example. This should be changed. They have to stop this hidden charges...

I think SBI is cheating customer by charging for deposits in Non home branch. Afterall it is the technology (core banking) which gives this features and why should then try to make money in every thing. I noticed that from 1st April even EFT and RTGS transaction are charged rs.5 per transaction. Why does the RBI not consult the civil society members before framing the charges, after all in Democracy it is by /for / with the people, why does RBI follow autocratic approach and things itself above the people.
WHAT IS RBI DOING ABOUT THE following atrocious charges of various Bank or is it in hands and gloves.
a) many MNC banks have started charging Rs.500 per month if the balance is below 25000. How can this be allowed ? is RBI head also getting his cut ?
b) the interest rate charged by for credit card by bank is almost 40~50 % per annum, how can this be allowed and why is RBI not governing these rates ? this is three times higher than a normal pawn broker rate of interest . On one side the govt discourages taking loan from local pawn brokers and on other side they loot in form of Credit card. When thy offer only 5-6 % per anum for FD below 365 days how can they allow interest rate of 45 to 50 % on credit card

I've also faced same problem when i had to deposit some money in my account from a nearby bank at my home (my account is in Kapshera Branch, another branch which is a little farther from my home in Gurgaon). I shocked when they had charged me Rs.25 for my amount was Rs.3000/-.It's is very funny, at the one side RBI taking decision to stop inflation's the other side bank do like this. If anyone see the effect of this charges, everybody escape to deposit amount in his account. then he take cash with him & spent the other things to increase inflation s . So anybody help me where i can complaint of this to wave off like these charges.

s today i go to deposit 5000/- Rs. in SBI home bank non home branch; but the accountant(Mr. parkar, SBI, Karjat, Dist Raigad, Maharashtra) sent to me to deposit the money to customer service officer & he took 98/- Rs. service tax for Rs.4900/-. I go to the bank to ask about these problem but they didn't give me perfect answer. I this is doubtful, but I don't know what I do?

Can anybody tell me why the bank is charging when cash is deposited in another bank??

Then i guess its meaningless to make a portal like this where there is no actions take.

Sbi cards is charging rs.100/-plus12.5percent gst, as cash handling charges for cash deposit made against card payments in their own branches.i just paid rs.113/- as cash handling fee in recent statement received after depositing annual fee. Such a fee is not mentioned in fee schedule for various services provided by sbicards.

State bank employees are getting salary from govt. They will not think about customers. The employees are so dull they dont have manners to talk with customers. Once I went to SBH, Degloor for education loan enquiry, the employees were not telling the information.I hate state bank employees.

This this like roaming provided by cellphone networks. Before some years the cellular providers considered every local city as local and other than the registered city as roaming and put extra roaming charges for us. But after sometime TRAI indulged and removed all these policies and made a single state as local.
I think RBI should also regulate these activities performed by Banks all over the India. This is weird guys, much more costlier than the roaming charges. Even though for deposits we need to pay charges. But what they do is a simple online transaction and that process for nonlocal deposits does not cost them too much. I swear it is a way for Banks to EARN MONEY from us:-(

i never get that amount.i called up they are saying that amount has been with drawn from my side.

i got irritated and went to hdfc bank sector 62 again they are saying that manuaaly i have to the complaint with complaint number. i lost my complaint number.i called up customer service they are regect me to give complaint number(my case is looking by puja) in customer service.

please consider my complaint and solve my problem as soon as possible

Now, I request you to please verify the matter and credit back the amount Rs.15000 wrongly debited to my account, immediately.

Enclosed please find my application for duplicate ATM PIN, which was submitted on 28.09.2010 at Gadchandur Branch. Till date I have not received any password. I have enquired so many times in Bank and also lodge online complaint through net banking but no any positive response received from Bank.

First of all I did not wish to rate the services for SBI as the services have become worst. I Purchased Bata shoes at Kolhapur city on 8-3-2008 using my ATM/Debit card. The cost of this purschase was 1199/-. This amount has been debited twice from my savings account. Till date[protected] my amount has not been returned by SBI.

my sb a/c no. is [protected] in sbi central secretariat new delhi. I find that on 19.3.2009 a sum of Rs. 50 has been debited from my account on account of Annual Maint. Fees - Card No[protected]. Another sum of Rs. 50 for the same purpose has been debited from my account in respect of ATM cadre no.[protected] which is mine atm card number. As former card is not mine, i think it has been due to some mistake that Rs. 50 has been deducted from my account. Kindly verify and take appropriate action.

I am having my SB A/C with SBI IP Estate New Delhi Branch. For making payment of fees to college I applied for a draft of Rs 90000 payable at State Bank Of Bikaner and Jaipur at Laxamangadh Distt Sikar Rajasthan but the IP Estate branch of SBI refused to issue the draft on the pretext that they can issue a draft payable at SBI branches only and not at any other bank whereas the college requires drafts payable at SBBJ only. Under this situation how a person having bank account in SBI can make payment by way of draft. It is not necessary that all places have SBI branches or the payee has bank account in SBI only. If such problem is with the biggest bank of India and that also of Govt bank how they claim customer friendly and appropriate banking system.

During contacting the branch over phone I cant receive reply in this regard. I informed the same my inability to contact the section concerned of the branch and status of the Consumer Care for my inquiry is "in discussion" so far. In this regard I already sent an email to the branch and I don't receive any reply. Hence, kindly arrange to send me my DD or else re-credit the debited amount of Rs.10000/- in to my SB account so as to apply DD from any local banks.

i have withdrawal Rs 1000 from SBI ATM Jahangirabad through PNB ATM Card. but when i updated my passbook its also shows Rs 10000 extra withdrawal in the same date. so what can i do to it.

On afternoon of 2nd Jan 2010, I made a transaction in ATM of Indian overseas bank. At that time there was an error i, e.“ your transaction cannot be processed temporarily”. After that I cancelled my transaction and went for another ATM which is of SBI. I withdrawal Rs.10000 and gave command for mini statement.

In the statement withdrawal reflects twice on the same day. i got shocked and went to general manager of IOB and complaint him for the same. then he replied your account would be credited in 2 hours.


I also called for complaint to SBI helpline and they replied the same will be credited in 2 days. After that I visited at your branch and the result was same.


My association with your Bank goes back a long way and I regret to inform you that this is the first time I am encountering such a problem.

I request you to kindly look into the matter and remit the said amount into my account asap. I am enclosing a copy of the latest Account Statement for your action.

on 1 nov 2010 i used my sbi ATM at central bank of india ATM situated at vikas minar dda but neither cash nor receipt was delivered when i come back and checked my account online the Rs 1000 was debited from my account i approached to central bank of india as well as sbi manager but they told to go to branch from where my card was issued where as sbi is now global my complain can be forwarded but nothing is done till today kindly help me in this regard

tata sbi credit card — bill not sent by them

i have used the tata sbi card for last one year but they have not send the bill on time and so many times ringup for payment of bill. i personally contact their help desk as well as there head office at delhi but they do not take any action unless a phone call for payment of bill. i am not understand what is the hidden reason behind for not sending the bill on time.

Tata card which I have been issued was not used even for one single time.One fine day they sent me a draft for Rs10000 saying that it is express money draft.As iam not wlling to accept i did not encash the same. But quite surprisingly they are charging financial charges other charges to the extent of 600 to 700 every month for the last one year.I have not used the card and I have not taken any amount from them i donot know how iam liable to pay this unethical charges apart from showing dues as 10300..

i am using sbi tatacredit card since it was changed from sbi card.you people say you have been selected as a potetial coustomer.
Since that day we have not received the bill from your end.when we call your people say to complain the matter to the tool free no.and according to there records some body is receiving the bill at our end.
we want to know who is receiving the bill on our behalf.i want to see the scaned copy of the P O D of the courier.
more over the card is blocked due to some internal policy matter.they say payments are not on time.
how can a person pay if he is not given the bills.
pl let me know as how we can proceed on this matter.

My card no [protected] & I am a regular user of this card . I have asked for bills to be sent to me by e mail, PLEASE SEND MONTHLY BILL ON THE ABOVE e mail add regularly, as last month bill yet to receive by me and unable to pay the same, meantime the phone calls coming from your office/agent. if it will happened next time, I shall no other option to pay the balance amount and stop using the card and convey the same to my contacts so that no one should harassed by you.

I am trying to register the online application for the past 36 hours. But I don't know whether I have registered or not. Each time I am getting the first two pages. I paid 250 rupees each for me and my brother. Please I need help.
