A tasmac retail outlet is functioning from nethaji salai, ganesh nagar, guindy, chennai 32, near vandikkaran salai, within j-3 guindy police station limits.

This liquor outlet is located in a predominantly residential area.

This liquor outlet is located less than 50 metres from government midday noon meal scheme school, where poor children come to study and partake their midday meals.

This liquor outlet is located is located less than 50 metres from praveen memorial school.

This liquor outlet is located less than 100 metres from jayasiddhi vinayakar temple.

The functioning of the liquor retail outlet at nethaji salai offends the public safety, morality and right to free movement of the citizens of the locality.

The liquor outlet comprises a bar which is run by a former legislator (Ex. Mla) ashok who is now in the ops faction of the aiadmk.

People are not able to move freely as the entire nethaji salai is obstructed by parking of vehicles due to the liquor outlet.

The bar is open throughout the day and night 24 x 7 on all days. Even on holidays like gandhi jayanthi and mahavir jayanthi brisk sale of liquor is going on. There is no action despite hundreds of complaints.

Due to payment of regular hefty mamool, the j-3 police have not taken any action against the person running the bar.

The local population is most unsafe as goondas and rowdy elements rule the area after dusk. Children and women cannot walk the streets as it is unsafe even for men to walk.

The local residents organised a peaceful demonstration on 7.4.2017 at 12 noon to relocate the liquor shop, but local police refused to permit the agitators from going near the liquor shop. Police virtually stood guard at the liquor outlet when the demonstration was on. It is known that the person running the bar is paying hefty mamool to the local police to run the bar throughout day and night and on holidays also and therefore it is the police who will be put to great financial loss if the liquor outlet is closed or relocated.

It is therefore clear that citizen's welfare is not of paramount importance to the state and only money and greed take precedence. That is the reason why the state has not taken any action to close the retail outlet so far and police is backing the bar owner.

"dinamalar" has carried articles regarding the sorry state of affairs in the locality due to the liquor outlet.

The only option to ensure peace and well being for the residents of the ganesh nagar locality is to relocate the tasmac liquor outlet immediately.

Subject: Requesting not to violate rule 8(1) of the Tamilnadu liquor retail vending (shops and bars) by reinstalling the removed Tasmac Whine shop in ourThuthurmattam village


The Tasmac wine shop no:8426 functioned in the Thuthurmattam village, Coonoor taluk, Nilgiris district was violating the schedule 8 (1) rule of the Tamilnadu liquor retail vending (shops and bars) and identified by the Tamilnadu Survey and boundary act.
Honestly the violation was admitted and the shop was removed on[protected] and in your[protected] affidavit it is represented to the Madras High court. We the Public other than some drunkards were pleased by this significant activity.
At present to reinstall the Wine shop, some local politicians and drunkards requested the TASMAC district management and also submitted some available buildings details. By this the District Manager visited our village on[protected] and inspected the building, in that we came to know that the shown buildings again violated the schedule 8 (1) rule of the Tamilnadu liquor retail vending (shops and bars). So we again objected and presented our objection letter to the District Manager and the District Collector.

As a continuation we send this objection letter to you through this mail. More over as an additional information we wish to say that, the layout of the village consists of Bus stand, Hindu temple, Christian church, Muslim Mosque, Government Schools, Private Schools, Market and Living places are very close to each other. So where ever around our village if a Wine shop is installed, that shop will violate the schedule 8 (1) rule of the Tamilnadu liquor retail vending (shops and bars). Hence we request not to install or reinstall a Wine shop in our village, which will also lead to contempt of Court.

Today i went to TASMAC I have asked liquor 180 ml actual MRP rate is 100 but the sales man said Rs. 105/-. Immediately i have called TASMAC Consumer Support Number [protected], i have explained my concern they asked me to give my mobile to shop supervisor they had conversation. Finally they gave me the product on MRP Rate. So please call on complaint number and avoid giving bribe.

But few things i would like to share. The conversation which i had with shop keeper.

1. They claiming that...if bottle broken while handling those damage cost will be managed with this additional price which they collect from us. Ans. But how will this justified if milk pocket damaged or spoiled the milk agent need to claim from company not with consumer.
2. The load man who unload the product from lorry those people asking money..Ans. Then include that cost on MRP let it go Government not to shop keeper who gave rights to collect money from consumer and distribute with them.
3. They were asking where i am working, immediately i responded that i did not come here to ask subsidy...it does not matter where i am working how much salary i am getting.

Consumer please awake...now a days giving and asking bribe become shameless activity...do not give and get bribe.

TASMAC WINE SHOP (NO.530)
RESIDENTS OF JUSTICE RAJAMANNAR SALAI, K.K.NAGAR, CHENNAI-600093, WANTS TO SHIFT THE TASMAC WINE SHOP (NO.530)

WE the residents are in big trouble with the drunkards from tasmac wine shop no. 530.
They are throwing the bottles in the entrance of the street(vijayaragavapuram 4th cross) nearby best bakery which is very close to this tasmac.

smoking all the time..this smoke spreads all around. residents with infants and small children are suffering a lot.

At the entrance of the street the drunkards are urinating which also creates an unhealthy atmosphere.

We could not do anything with the drunkards. they spoil our entire mood an create an unsafe situation for living in our homes.

The drunkards also park their two wheelers, cars and autos in the entrance of the street and the hospital nearby.

The patients coming to SR fertility hospital which is at the entrance of the street are very much affected by this drunkards.

To add up, this justice rajamannar salai in k.k nagar has three wineshops situated very close to one another i.e., sTASMAC shop no. 530, 988 and 634.

all the three tasmac wineshops are located within 100metres distance.

so we the residents of rajamannar salai, old vijayaragavapuram openly beg the authorities to look into this seriously and this shop no.530 immediately.

It would be a great help if the authorities close this shop no.530 immediately as we are afraid of living in this area.

There is a tasmac shop at bajanai koil street, off to padhai, opp Muthoot finance. This area is full of residence apartments and houses and schools. This street is a busy one connecting arcot road to nelson manickam road. Due to this tasmac shop there is heavy traffic, bikes and autos parked everywhere and in front of all building enterances. Residents from home not able to go or come into their buildings. Also the guys come for drink, buy liquor and drink all along the road, at gates, small petty shops, in autos etc but not at bar. They drink and sleep at the enterance of the house in almost naked manner. Kids and women are scared to go out due to this. Very smell due to auto guys parked and peed at door steps. Very pathetic and nuisance created by this shop. Also there is a one no lottery shop which was adding fuel to the fire. Police as usual not bothered and they get their collections correctly. If authorities take steps to close this 2 shops will be very relief to the citizens of the area.

Every morning at the time of sale tasmac bottles morning 4.00am to 11.55 am time sale and after 10.01pm from 4.00 am till morning sale 10 boxes please restrict that sales person balu, ravikumar, murali, karuppsamy, mohan also thankyou sir please take necesssary action immediately all workers adid drugs

Lady Spot dead head injury on[protected] around 3PM, at rajamannar salai vijayaragavapuram Chennai-600093 due to traffic violation, Refer with the k.k.nagar R7 Police station.
Public disturbance, There is no parking facility, who come to the Wine Shop are parked their vehicle in the both side of the Road and they drink in the Road and throw the Empty Bottles, Water Pocket Covers, Cigaretes, Spit, Vomiting and Urinating in the Road and creating unhealthy filthy atmosphere for the Children’s, Ladies & Elders who pass by the area.
The people who come to the Wine Shop are shouting and using very bad words. This is rajamannar salai vijayaragavapuram Main Road is very nasty only because of this Wine Shop. (TASMAC WINE SHOP No.530) some of who are often found unconscious in front of houses.. Residents of rajamannar salai situated in the middle of TWO SCHOOLS so, We urgently & immediately would like to Shift the TASMAC WINE SHOP (No.530) we hereby submit our request to the State.

It is notified that rum items are are available in tasmac shops at variety wise as of other items why?
that to only 180ml is available all the times. 360 750ml bottles not available totally why?
while go for elite there only "old monk" premium is available and high rated "baccardi" white rum is available, what happend to other brands in rum while your company selling different brands in "brandy" and "wine" and "wisky" and why?
plese arrange for the sale of rum. items all brands like brandy and wiskyand wine.

Selling all the bottles at over rate than the price shown as mrp if I ask Bill they are not giving the bill they telling that no go and buy some where and also talking bad words is this the way of treating customers.For per bottle 2 rs etc is some how we can give that is also wrong thing but we are giving and buying but they are asking 5 rs for each bottle according to quarter 5 rs etc half 10 rs full 20 is that fine. If I give 2000 rs they are asking 10 rs etc per quarter did I print the note or did I told to issue the 2000 rs note. Please take the action immediately.

Today I went to buy a Brandy from TASMAC - Sholinganallur.

LE ROI XL SPECIAL RESERVA BRANDY. This is Rs. 640 only.

But the fellow inside the shop had taken from me Rs. 800 and have not given any receipt.

I want explanation fromm TASMAC management + my amount of Rs. 160 back.

I have also found that the bottle provided to me has been completely tampered and pilferaged.

Is this the way Tamil Nadu government who its face to the common people?.

The elite TASMAC shop in RS puram, Coimbatore does not give any bill to the customers. Moreover they are charging extra for each item purchased, ranging from 10 rs to 200 rs..
To add insult to injury, they make fun of customers who ask why they are charging extra. Sometimes, people who don't work in the TASMAC are being employed to take care of the customers who are even worse than the actual TASMAC employees

During the 1st date of this month we purchased 4 beer bottles at shop No: 7720 Kandramanickam .Sivaganga Dist .Pin 630 204 .at 9-15 am. We went to get the replacement at the shop & found the shop is locked .Next day we went with the same complaint .But they refused to give replacement .

Further that supervisor told, "You do complaint anywhere else .Our duty is selling only" .We need the justice from you .

I buy regularly from the PALS Tasmac outlet (basement) which is situated in between Chintamani and Round Tana on 2nd Avenue Annanagar. Everytime i am asked to pay a minimum of 20 rupees to 50 rupees depending on if they give me a full bottle or half bottles. They threaten me that i will not be able to get the brand next time if i refuse to pay the extra amount. Please sort out this menace asap. The ELITE outlet in Koyambedu 10 square mall also charges 100 to 200 rupees extra and refuses to bill for products sold.

Since last one month in kanyakumari district we are unable to get quality brands of liqour in tasmac shops... They sell only low quality and unknown brands and other good brands are out of stock..

On enquiring with tasmac staff we are informed that they get only these liqours as the are only stocked at tasmac godowns..

So please look into the matter and stock the quality liqours for peoples wellness..

Hi, i purchased misty grape red wine bottle from tasmac elite from ags mall, navallur, chennai. The shopkeeper charged rs 450 instead of rs 400 on that bottle. On asking about it, he first refused to sell the bottle to me. Later, with the help of a police officer and lot of arguments, they charged me the same rs 450 but gave me a bill for it. I have attached the pic for the same. Please take the necessary action. If you don't, the citizens of the country will loose faith in law. Thanks

TASMAC Liquor Shops & Bars — Nuisance caused by Tasmac Customers

There are 3 Tasmac Shops within a distance of 50mts from each other on Perambur High Road just opposite to the Perambur Railway Station, Perambur, Chennai. The visitors to these joints use the nearby lanes to park their vehicles, consume liquor and also to Urinate.

Our grievances & Suggestions:

Haphazard Parking: Vehicles ( Mostly Two Wheelers and Auto Rickshaws are parked in a very haphazard manner in the entrance to the Streets and also in front of our Gates. In the event of an emergency we are unable to call in an Ambulance or even Drive our Cars out of our Garages.

Suggestion : The Tasmac shops or Bars should provide sufficient Parking space for their customers.

Illegal Activities: All forms of illegal activities happen in this neighborhood. Residents of the locality are being threatened when they stand in their balconys or the entrance of the house in the evenings. Its becoming a nightmare for the residents especially Ladies, Children and Sr. Citizens to step out of their houses in the evenings.

Suggestion : Police Patrol which Frequents the Perambur High Road in the Evenings should be asked to visit the nearby lanes and ensure the anti social elements are kept at bay.

- Most of the shops have only one Toilet... when there are thousands of customers thronging the place, why is it that no action is being taken to ensure necessary infrastructure is in place. Most of the visitors use the Perambur High Road and also the adjoining lanes to Urinate and this is causing a lot of Health Issues to the Residents. When we are given to believe that a lot of Revenue is being generated by Tasmac which is owned by the Government, how come there is no motivation to provide clean, safe and healthy facilities for their customers.

Suggestion : Sufficient number of Clean Toilets need to be provided within the Bar Premises

- When there are Bars which have been opened for Consumers to have a Drink in Privacy, how come the enforcement agencies are turning a blind eye and allowing the Drinking in Public Spaces... Are we to believe that "While smoking in Public is an offence, for Tamilnadu, Drinking in Public is Permitted" because it turns out a lot of Revenue to the Government.

Suggestion : Enforce Strict Laws to Prohibit Consumption of Liquor in Public Spaces... or... Close down the Bars and get the customers to Buy the Liquor from the Shops and go and drink in their Homes.

- Once the shops close in the night around 2200hrs, the lights in the Bars are switched off and people continue to consume liquor upto 2230 to 2245 hrs depending on the rush within the bar. Also including a photograph of the Bar which is being operated in open air.

Suggestion : The Bar Timings should be strictly enforced failing which the Licence to Operate should be Cancelled and the Shop violating the rules should be Shut Down without any delay.

Request the senior officials from the enforcement authorities to inspect all areas in the night and ascertain to them self if they will be willing to put up with such living conditions.

Will concerned authorities take note of the situation and try to impose penalties on offenders or improve the conditions in the Bars to save the Residents in the Neighborhood of the troubles.

The government of the day before the elections promised to implement prohibition of liquor in a phased manner and closed down apprx 500 Tasmac Shops and Bars across Tamilnadu. In the city of Chennai one can still see clusters of Tasmac Shops and Bars operating within a distance of 100mts. Several complaints were filed with the Tasmac administration through the CM's Special Cell and PG Portal of the Government of India. We have only received contradictory feedback to our complaints all along and there seems to be a total lack of interest on the part of the administration to redress our complaints effectively.

Its a total SHAME that the People of Tamilnadu have elected a Government which cares to hoods about the welfare of its electorate. With no Choice we will now have to put up with all the problems until the next State Elections and work hard to get a Government which really cares for the welfare of the People.

I am a regular customer of tasmac elite shop in 10 square mall, koyambedu.in the particular shop the sales men charged extra 10 to 100 rs. on mrp regularly and while am asking any question against them, they asking me to raise complaint wherever i wish. the slaesmen behaviour is so rude. many times i have complained against this and no actions will take still. please take necessary actions immediately otherwise i will complaint in the cm cell.

The elite tasmac has been overcharging people by 5-10% over the printed MRP. A pint of Hoegaarden beer which costs about 200 rs in other metros is being sold for Inr 350/-.. the label of MRP( which looks dubious) says the price is INR 330/-..
This happens every-time on purchase of any imported liquor.

If govnt isn't unable to curb this corruption, they should rather issue private licences to businesses to run it professionally.

The staff is talking to everybody like his slave even though I am buyling a product of 140 rs by paying excess of 145 rd. Please take action against the staff. Normally only one person is available in this shop which is situated near balajinagar busstand Pallikaranai on velachery tambaram main road near kamakshi hospital . I never behaved incorrectly.
