I have taken internet connection in the month of May 2009 form M/s. Tata Teleservices Ltd. I have reqested to M/s. Saakar Teleservices (Authorised Agent) to cancel the connection on 16.01.2010 vide request No.[protected] as the services was not satisfactory. However, they did not cancelled the connection till the April 2010 and served three biils for Rs. 99/-, Rs. 1869/- and 547/- respectively. I have paid bill amount of Rs, 99/ under receipt No. 19405711 dated 22.03.2010 for the period 30.01.2010 to 26.02.2010. I have repeatedly requested to the their authorised agents that I have already applied for cancellation of connection and also lodge a complaint to the Nodal Officer of said Company on 08.04.2010 . Now they issued recovery notice No. SC/VAPI/MAR/043 without taking any decesion of my complaint dated 08.04.2010. My E-Mail address is [protected]@rediffmail.com.
I have applied for cancellation in the month of Jan.2010. why disconnected so late?

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am having my prepaid connection of Tata Indicom Walky wide no[protected],
    My instrument is dead & I want to upgrade it with new one, I visited all Navi Mumbai & Kalyan-Dombivli True Value Hub for get a new instrument, this is bad service from Tata Indicom that they dont have a new stock for replacement,
    My landline is dead and I am unable to use, regarding the same I mailed to Tata Indicom Customer care/ Nodal officer, but no use.

        Please find attached the letter with this complaint i recd end of February from Tata tel.

        I am trying to explain the problem at cs helpdesk <cs.[protected]@tatatel.co.in> but because everytime theirs somebody else who replies, i am not getting the issue resolved. Sometimes the service assitant says, your acount has been disconnected , sometimes, you need to pay as the acount shows. I am totally confused and am really totally dissatisfied with this tata indicom acount and the bill i have recd.

        what i recd from Tata helpdesk and tata helpline,is, your acount is already disconnected in

        Dear Sir,

        some 5 days back, I have recd a notice asking to pay Rs.205 and saying. regular bills have been sent to me and also regular notices.

        Pls note, i havent recd any bill or notice before.

        The last account i used was billed wrong because of the mistake done by TATA employee by marking my plan as something else instead o[censored]nlimited plan. He agreed the mistake and cleared the account by himself.

        I am not at all responsible for the bill generated and hence i am not willing to pay this.

        Pls have it confirmed with your tata indicom office in Ichalkaranji. The name of the person was Mr. Pradip.

        You can check my application form, i had asked to make it as unlimited but he activated it as some other plan.

        This problem already created a big trouble for me a few months back and i dont know why, i have again recd a letter.

        I have also launched online complain for the same thing : complain no .249561 and 252588 on your wesbite. I didnt recd any reply as yet.

        I hereby request you to kindly make the correction and confirm.

        Would appreciate your prompt reponse and favorable reply.

          My self Sandeep Kumar and my complaint about the mobile service provider named-Tata Indicom.We are using a prepaid mobile no- [protected] .As of now our phone outgoing has been closed from Tata Indicom as they require the ID proof for that.We have submitted the photo & ID proof for its re-verification and from Tata Indicom we recieved a 72 Hrs time to activate the outgoing facility on this no.

          But still we are waiting to activiate the outgoing facility from Tata Indicom.The outgoing has de-activited since 15-20 days.

          So pls look into the matter and do the needful against such cases as soon as possible.

          My Self Vivek and i live in east delhi.

          i have a tataindicom prepaid mobile number and I am using this mobile number since 1.5 years. and my problem is that i have given photo, id proof -, address proof (like Voter Id Card) as transfer order copy. but the retailer has not submitted My documents to tataindicom. he submitted wrong id proof for my mobile number. in case my mobile number will block or my mobile will lost. so i can't take this number again because of id proof problem. so this the big problem for me.I have wide range of contacts through this number.
          So please help me how can i submit my original document to tata indicom.
          please help me please help me. i will always great full to you.

            Hi,

            Instead of solving my pending complaint with the company, the company has send me a notice thru an advocate to take civil /criminal action against me .....

            ALL the staff of this company is arrogant, indecent, un-educated who are in VIMAN NAGAR, PUNE and the CALL CENTER PEOPLE. THIS KIND OF SERVICE THIS COMPANY PROVIDES TO ITS CUSTOMER WHO REGULARLY PAY THEIR BILLS ON TIME.

            So, i am writing the complaint as a resort that my grievance will be heard that how TATA INDICOM tortures their customers. Please refer below my grievance details as under:

            Ms Kirti called me on 15/12/2010 in reference to my below email .... assuring me that the things will be taken care of & gave me request number[protected] that my plan will be changed to 599 Unlimited w.e.f. 21/12/2010 (2) reversal of all the downloading charges except the monthly rent.

            But when i called the customer care on 24/12/2010, Mr. Sagar (customer care executive) informed me that the 599 Unlimited Plan has not been activated & the request number[protected] status is closed with no comments. So, he gave me another request number[protected] for changing my existing plan to 599 Unlimited Plan but he took no request for reversal of charges saying he is not aware of the issue.

            I have reced my Dec 2010 bill of Rs. 2,337/- .
            It would be my utmost sincere request to you is to reverse all the charges except the monthly rent based on my earlier email attached below for your ready reference.

            Hope that at least this time you will take Corrective Action by reversing the charges and changing my plan with immediate effect instead of false assurance.

            Hope you are in good spirits.

            I am a customer of your tata broadband internet service in Pune and i am using this service since aug 2010. I am writing this email as the last resort left with me before i move to Consumer Court .....please do not take this as threat but as a SERIOUS GREIVANCE OF A TORTURED CUSTOMER OF YOUR COMPANY.

            On[protected] @ 2.30pm i have called your customer care to change my plan from "DSL DS209 BIZ COMBO 666 PLAN" to " 499/- [protected]@ 256kps " reference number of the same is :[protected] & also permanent disconnection of the landline the reference number of the same is[protected]. The then customer care executive told me that the same will be implemented w.e.f[protected] i.e. from the next billing cyle.

            On[protected], in the afternoon i recd a cal from your customer care stating that my internet unbilled usage is Rs. 4,595/- & my plan still continues to be earlier one i.e. COMBO 666PLAN & @ 22.22pm i called your customer care & spoke to Chetan (one of your customer care executive) who told me that even though i have requested for a change of the plan the same has not been changed the reason given to me " 499/- UNLIMITED PLAN is not available in your area " ....... & when i asked that person Y has this not been informed to me that you cannot change my plan the reason given to me is very absurd & non-sense that " ITS NOT COMPANY POLICY TO CALL THE CUSTOMER "

            My question to you Mr. Dey is when the plan cant be changed ......HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO KNOW THAT MY PLAN IS NOT CHANGED UNLESS I AM INFORMED OF THE SAME?

            Its my sincere request to you is to resolve my matter asap & to nullify the full unbilled amount from[protected] onwards .....

            Else be assured that neither i am not going to pay any amount from[protected] since the same has not been changed as per my request nor the same has not been intimated to me that my request cant be implemented.

              refund of data card
              I want to return Tata photon plus wifi data card to TATA indiacom. Reason is speed is too slow. Frequently it gets disconnected I have complained many times but their service executive came once and his explanation is not dispointing. As per specification speed should be 3.1 Mbpsbut speed But we get is less than 126 kbps and most times less 44kbps and as low as 12kbps
              Tata company is painting a rosy picture for the public consumption. Public get misguided by their advertisements Govt should bring some legal measure to ensure their tall claims are actually met incase of their failure the product should be taken off from the market so that the naive public is not fooled

For heaven sake permit me too surrender your hardware and kindly let me have my money back. We are not purchasing your data card just to display it as a trophy. With our little we buy your product to meet our specific objective. If your product fails to meet the objective you are duty bound to take the product back and return our money. I appreciate your conciliatory tone once the consumer is rudely hurt by your pathetic performance of your product there is no point in prolonging the agony. kindly make arrangements to relieve me of your product

                Per Tata Indicom below advise, today I again register a fresh porting request, which is as follows:

                Dear Customer,
                Your Unique Porting Code is TD479961 which is Valid
                upto[protected]. Thank You - TATA Indicom[protected]:18:29AM

                With this porting code, I re filled all the forms and submitted all necessary documents at vodaphone store.

                I need Tata Indicom assurance that my porting request will be approved this time, without any further harassment.

                My name is Ravinder Singh from Delhi and I am using Tata indicom CDMA prepaid number [protected] from more than 2 years. Recently on 3rd Feb 2011 I made a request at Airtel for MNP, and on 8th Feb 2011, I got an sms from Airtel that the your porting request has been rejected because the unique code is not matching with the donor allocated porting code. I again made a request for unique code on same day. This time a got an sms from Tata indicom that your unique code TD544682 is already exists and which is valid till 18th Feb 2011. On 9th Feb 2011 I again go to Airtel and refill all the forms pertaining to MNP. Within a few days My porting request had been turned down again stating the same reason that unique code is mismatching.

                Since my unique code TD544682 was valid till 18th Feb 2011, I thought there could be some technical fault thats why my porting request was not approved, on 19th Feb I regenerate a fresh unique code TD981734 and went to vodaphone for porting. Few days later on 25th Feb 2011, I got an sms from vodafone stating that porting request had been rejected by your current operator due to the unique code does not match the donor allocated unique code for this number. I tried to log a complaint in this regard at Tata customer care, but they refused to provide me complaint number or docket number. I also write an email to Tata indicom's Nodal and Appellate Authority but till now nothing has been done in this regard.

                It is now evident that Tata Indicom is deliberately rejecting my porting request by stating the wrong reasons and trying to retain the customer by this cheap practice. I am very annoyed with this harassment and need compensation from Tata indicom and going to take a legal action against them. Since I have very very strong evidences against Tata indicom, I hope consumer court will definitely help me to provide me releief.

                TATA Indicom — rejection of MNP request

                I had applied for MNP from Tata Indicom to Idea, on March 11, 2011. After much follow-up, I came to know that Tata Indicom has rejected my request, though no reasons were cited for this rejection.

                On April 27, once again I have requested for MNP. My UPC is TA733235 which is valid till May 12 2011. This UPC was submitted along with the requisite documents on April 29. On May 2, when I called Idea to know the status, they informed me that the request has been sent to Tata Indicom. When I called Tata Indicom, I was informed that it will be done.

                Since I have received no communication from Tata Indicom so far, I called the customer care (12524) to find out whats happening. Customer Care has no information about it.

                Since the UPC will exprire tomorrow, Tata Indicom will ONCE AGAIN conveniently say that the UPC expired.Can you help me find a solution ?

                Its been nearly ten days since I have complained, and so far I have not seen any results, except for assurances that the problem will be solved.

                If this is the fate of priority tasks, I shudder to think what happens otherwise.

                TATA Indicom — Rejecting MNP request without any reason.

                This is Parvatini Shiva Gopal Rao, and my tata indicom mobile number is [protected]. On 28th of April 2011 I had applied for Mobile number portability (MNP) so that i can switch to Reliance communications. On the next day of appling for this request I got a call from tata indicom saying that they are providing me with 200 rupees discount on my bill as I was facing a problem with the network at my place. In the other hand tata indicom has rejected my MNP request (Unique Porting Code TZ564915). When i called and raised the concern about this then tata indicom customer care requested me to raise another request for MNP. On 12th May 2011, I again raised the MNP request (Unique Porting Code TZ125244) which was valid upto 27th May 2011, 4pm. On 19th May 2011 i called tata indicom customer care for status on the request, then they said that it will be resolved by 27th May 2011, 4pm. It should get resolved within 7 working days as per TRAI regulations. But they committed that 27th will be final date of resolution. And after that i called tata indicom customer care on 26th May 2011 for the status, they say that it would take few more days to this request, now the problem is on 27th May 2011 the Unique Porting Code will expire. My strong concern is why tata indicom has taken so long time to resolve this request of MNP (since 28th April still no end date).
                Why I'm forcefully imposed to use the service from which I’m intended to get rid of.
                Why my requests are taking time to resolve without any valid reasons?
                Please help me with this. Hope this would show me a ray of hope.

But now I have stopped the PCO and all equipments, machine has been returned back to Tata Indicom office on 20th July 2010. Still I have not get my caution money of Rs. 6000.00/-.                       I have mobile number [protected] (post-paid). As a premium customer, i got an add-on number [protected], for which calling between these numbers are free. But when i connected my SIM for calling , message came "number does not exist".
                      Next day i made complaint to company. They said "number is allotted to other person".

                      As i was paying regular rent for [protected], but still they deactivated my number with my permission. As i distributed this number more than 1000 people for which I am bearing LOSS in thousands.
                      So, please I request you to allot me my number back as soon as possible.

                        I wanted to shift a mobile number from vodafone to Tata indicom using Mobile number Portability, they asked me to generate UPC code which i generated and gave them on 08/02/2011, they promised me that MNP requests are entertained within 7 working days and UPC code generated is valid for 15 days, however till today that is 03/03/2011 my MNP is not activated and everytime i go to their store at Gurukul Road Ahmedabad, the store incharge Mr. Dutta asks me to come after 2 days, i even had a talk with Mr. Chandresh Rathod their team leader and One Mr. Varad Chhaya, a senior officer in the company but everytime everyone says that although there is no problem in any of my documents and application but it will take some more time. All my efforts have been in vain as nobody in Tata indicom is ready to solve the issue and now i even fear that UPC(a one time code) code's validity would have expired. Please help..

                        I wish to bring to your notice that I have been a loyal customer of all TATA products for a very long time staring from my phone to my car but the treatment that I receive in return for all the loyalty that I show to the company it is only giving me a step motherly way of treatment.



                        I had been using the Photon mobile internet connection for almost a year now and recently I decided to upgrade to the photon+ version so when I contacted the customer service I was asked to go to the showroom (address given below)

                        I was also told that they would take my old modem for thousand rupees and an additional 2500/- will be charged towards the new modem.

                        I visited the showroom on 23.09.2009 7.15 pm and was just made to wait by the employees there at the showrrom for about 20 minutes while they were happily munching a pack of chips and one Mr.Jebastin there took my modem and took a note of some number from it then I was told that they would be sending a mail to the head office and that I would be getting a call the next morning confirming the same.



                        Ø They never bothered to call me to update me on the status and when I called they just replied that they have not received any confirmation mail from the Head office

                        Ø From then on I have been patiently following it up with the executives there but all I get in return is the same answer “ Sir, We shall call and update you”

                        Ø They did not even call me once !!!!! – I think it is their duty to atleast keep the customer informed about the proceedings rather than me giving them a call thrice every day.

                        Ø Today is 28.09.2009 – Four days have passed since I had applied and still that mail has not come from the head office.



                        If this is the kind of treatment that is being given to the existing customers then I really wonder how the new customers would feel about the same. It would not take me minutes to terminate the current usage and avail for some other service provider but for being loyal to the company this is what I get in return!!!



                        I really don’t know if this mail will reach the right person but I feel it is my duty to let you know what a poor show your employees have put up

                          I have applied for mobile no .porting from Tata indicom cdma prepaid to Airtel on[protected] and received porting code as TR913166.I also got message from Tata company about processing my request.I also submitted my document to airtel.Now after 15 days my numbers not changed.I talk to Tata officials they say fault is from airtel side and airtel official says it is from tata side.
                          I request in this forum to consumer complaint official that what i should do?Should i sue Tata in consumer court or there is provision to complaint in institution like TRAI or some thing else .I faded out now i want to do some legal action against these companies who made joke of TRAI regulations and joking with customers .Plz. advise.

                          i had applied for the MNP on 19th April ‘ 2011, the validity of the UPC was till 24th april, i also got the porting message from airtel comapany, but till today 1st may more than 11 days have passed, but the number is not working, the company replied after 11 days that ur UPC code had expired he validity was to get expired on 24 april then and we applied on 19 april then how come UPC can expire pls check this problem as the company claims MNP time to be 24 hrs. my no. is [protected], other contact no. is [protected],
                          my new UPC code TP813123 validity is 16 may, should i have to pay for the porting charges again, filling of forms...and all the other stuff. and under normal period it took how many days to port a number to airtel from tata indicom, ...this is just a mental harrassment

                            I m facing lot of problem for the last one month.
                            My Tata indicom sim goes dead, i went to the neariest tata care for replacement.
                            They provide the sim in one month. After this the number activated in two weeks.
                            Then after starting the number, now they disconneted my outgoing calls without intimating me about this. After two week i got the sms for submitting the documents.

                            I m using this number from last four year. I have already submitted all the necessary documents when i purchase this number. Now they again need documents.
                            If the company lost my documents, then its not my fault, it is his duty to store or preserve the documents properly.

                            Now i want that my tata indicom number will start as soon as possible.

                              After getting the response in comments from tata indicom just after posting my previous complaint (http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/tata-indicom-c530135.html) I am still waiting to see when Tata Indicom would kindly revert. But till now no positive step has been taken with my complaint and none of the tata indicom employee contact me after that.

                              It seems the "Tata Indicom customer care" is posting here the condolence comments only and do nothing not even intimate the other departments or the nodal officers about the complaint. Or may be they intimated this to the other departments and the nodal officers and they are not working on that.

                              Today at 12:38 p.m I got the same warning message at [protected] from Tata Indicom.

                              God knows what is going on there?

                                I am using tata indicom connection for last 3 years.Around a month ago suddenly i discovered that my
                                outgoing facilities has been terminated though no prior intimation has been given to me which i think is
                                very much unprofessional and unconventional too.I immediately called up to customer care and being informed that i have to submit my documents again!.I went to the nearest tataindicom shop and they
                                refused to accept the said documents and informed that i have to submit it to the specified offices though they sell the connection happily but don't take any responsibility of the customer.Being very much annoyed i immediately took the connection of another service provider (not tata indicom) and also have the plan to change my family member's connection for avoiding future inconvenience.I am an IT professional and hardly get a time to bare this type of harassment.My no is [protected] though it is in switched off status now.You can contact me through e-mail([protected]@yahoo.co.in) you if you think a customer like me makes any value to you.Why do you not implementing any centralized collection system of the documents i.e customer can submit it in any tata indicom shop or like that.Only 4 or 5 collection centres does not make any sense.thanking you.

                                  I believe it is useless because may be this mail will be not read or if it will be read then after that it will be thrown in trash. I m a simple man who is working as a asst. branch Incharge in a Kolkata based company which office has been recently opened in Gorakhpur. I news has been come in my knowledge that a few people are involve in criminal activities and making fake trade license, letter pad,stamp of my company and they took five CUG postpaid connection from TATA INDICOM on the name of M/S Rose valley. I informed that telecom company to close those nos. with immediate effect but the officer who was sitting over there said company can’t close the connection till outstanding bill will not be clear.My ques are:-

                                  1. If any mis-happening will be done then who will be responsible?
                                  2. In trade license no of employees shown ZERO then how the CUG connections were issued?
                                  3. In AV(Address Verification) two times shown negative then how the numbers were working?


                                  Our police and media both don’t want to disclose any matter before happening because media will not get any mirch masala in that and there TRP can’t increased. After happening all the channels will show how active they are? Everyone showing that news as a breaking news and their reporters put their life on their palm to show that news to aware the public but before that where they live? As it is our police department fo the same thing when a man go to register a complain they will not lodge the complain but when any mishappening will be done then they awake. If both will active atleast 50% then crime rate will come down 100%. It is not a joke if I had power I could prove it.

                                    ago and by some problem I had shut off this number([protected]) and paid all the balance amount on 4th of august
                                    at c.p branch office near palika. And they told to me your balance security money will be courier to you within 45 days. And now its above 45 days so and also I call this

                                    Recently my tata indicom number converted from post paid to pre paid. But during incoming and outgoing calls the caller number (CLI) is not displaying. Infact it is showing 'No number'. But, when i am using customer care service number 12524, i am getting correct help. Pl do the needful.

                                      on 13th feb 2011 at 9:29pm i called to the customer care to know my daily free balance for 299RC. they gave wrong info regarding the balance.... when i came to know that the info is wrong, i again called customer care on same day at 09:43pm, and told that the last person who had talk to gave wrong info and why did he do so? while i'm talking to him, he cut my call..

                                      from the next time i called many times to the customer care but my call is not connected to the representative..

                                      TATA INDICOM introduced 299/- offer in which free unlimited calls to all TATA networks and 30 minutes free TT on every day to other networks.. but they didn't gave any separate inquiry number to know the daily free TT except 12524.. The 12524 CC people not giving correct info..

                                        made complaints many time about the billing that without any usage, ot excess billing amount. once i got a call from us side to pay the rentals for 2 months that i di, and i was told that the rest outstanding amount will b waived off. didnt get any response from ur side till nw and today suddenly i got a letter that i have to pay the outstanding amount as soon as possible.. how and why shall i do that because i didnt use that much, i sudenly get a bill of rs 10000/-
