my complained is about music subscription deduction of 49rs every month on this no IZ-55456 and IZ-54646. i have complained many times that i am not intrested any more . still they cut this amount every month.please look at tyhis matter.i do not have any contact no for this matter.

    I bought a Photon Plus connection for Rs. 3500 from Tata Indicom dealer on 22 September.

    After using for few minutes the device started giving error message and remote server stopped responding. For more than 10 days I have been logging compliants with Tata and no one is there to attend .

    Some time their server is down for upgradation other time they just give false promise to get back.

    When are we going to learn the meaning of CUSTOMER SERVICE in India .
    I have a photon plus connection, Net connection is very slow, Customer Service is very poor.

    I bought two connections, and am unable to use them, as they never connect. I keep getting Error 678, remote computer did not respond etc etc etc... it is killing me that i paid Rs.3500 each and continue to pay Rs.750 per month... TATA is most useless GROUP. THeir buses worth 55 lacs keep catching fire... They nan of 1 one lac also catches fire... they are not able to deliver Nano on schedule as promised... they are making a fool of consumers by selling them TATA PHOTON PLUS for Rs.3500 each, even when the product is NOT WORKING!!!

    Tata indicom Photon Plus — Poor Customer Service

    Hi, I am Tata Indicom's Foton Plus users.
    Inspite of paying premium cost for the package & availing latest option (in terms of cost & data usage) the quality of customer service is very very poor.
    a. For last couple of days I am observing excessive usage logged when I checked my daily usage via online a/c.
    b. after logging a complaint with concerned Call center (which is very poor with respect to system response, for every query they put you on hold for min or two) they are not ready to accept the any discrepancy
    c. Suggest to wait for bill but after insisting that I want to logged a complaint they suggest to send a mail.
    Only got automated reply but action so far.

    Summary> Quality of 'call center' & associated system is very poor & time consuming.

      I had taken Tata indicom photon plus connection on 8 jun 2009 thinking to be associated with a good company only to realise my forthcoming nightmares.My plan was of 950 rs. rental where i get 2 GB in day and 10GB in night.In july i was charged with a whopping bill of 12623 whereby i filed a complaint with Tata Indicom customer care department.my connection was consequently terminated.The customer care used to ask for five days permission after every 5 days and it was after 10-15 days that they said that they will escalate my problem to their nodal office.I was provided with details that were fudged and i complained them about it ,whereby my bill was adjusted somehow after 45 days,and also i was charged 100 rs extra for late charge deposit for no fault of mineand also not provided the correct details by the nodal office saying that they cant provide me it.THE problem is that i am facing the same problem again in the month of september where my bill is showing an amount of Rs. 2093 and my usage is <5GB in cumulative.The thing is that I use my connection after (11 P.M.) and due to some problem in their server it shows usage before 11 P.M. and the TATA INDICOM people are overcharging me for this.I hence request the consumer forum to look into the matter and bring redressal to it .and stop Tata indicom people to stop acting like Extortion agents and act as a responsible company.Below is an image attached of my internet usage meter which has one more mistake of showing data in "Bytes" and is an example of the lax attitude of Tata Indicom

        from that date i had not faced any problem.
        last one year i faced the network related problem.
        related that problem i had made many complaint in tataindicom costomer care center.
        but the executive says that your problem has been solved .
        but situation is same as before.

          Dear Sir,

          I am disappointed with the service of TATA Indicom, Its really Wrost services, on the day of 17 I had recharge with Rs 50/-, and next day I checked my balance they had deducted Rs 30/- from my account Balance, when I talked to thier cce. they told me that the deduction charges for the welcome tune , which I had never subscribed or activated, but they didnot want to listen any word from my side, and they had refuse to make call with their seniors, suddenly they he abused me. his name is Abhay, after that I had launched complain against him to Tata Office which is located in Noida, but still I am waiting for their response.

            I took the connection of Tata Broadband with an initial installation cost of 2100/- and took the 750 kbps unlimited plan. (@ 1550/- per month+Tax). But now, it is showing my billing for the first month as the monthly amount +2000/- extra for VAS which I never asked for. They have charged me for this for assigning me a static ip which I never asked for. I want them to correct this additional charges as I did not ask for these VAS that they have charged me for. Moreover, the person who came for installation has stopped picking up my phone and is not available to answer my queries. I would request for immediate correction of this unjustified billing, failing which I shall be forced to cancel my connection and even go to the extent of going to the consumer court.

              Hi,

              I purchased Photon Plus @ Nite Surf connection from Tata Indicom on 5/8/09 and was told that I would be given 2GB free download during daytime(7AM - 11PM) and 10GB download during night(11PM - 7AM). Any extra usage must have been charged @0.50 per MB.

              Upon receiving the bill, it was shocking to see that they have charged me on the basis of HH/MM/SS taking my bill to Rs2313 which would have been otherwise close to Rs1000 only. They have also not clearly stated my usage details, that is, bundled usage and extra usage. As per the RTI Act, being a customer I have the right to know the exact details for which I am billed.

              I would like the authorities to check the billing structure of Tata Indicom so that customers are not looted by means of hidden/fraud methods. For information purposes, I have attached my bills and the plan advertisement along with this complaint.

              TATA Indicom — Excess Billing as per the old plan even after changing

              Dear Sir,

              This is to bring your attention towards the conduct of breach in the billing of my "Tata Indicom Plug to surf" Tata Indicom No: [protected] & Account Number :[protected].

              I requested my plan to be changed on 2nd of May 09 to "325 Monthly rental" and the same was assured it got changed and my next bill would be generated on pro rata basis with the revised plan and I used the service adhering to the new plan. But still I received the bill as per the old plan Bill Date: 23/05/09.

              Every Telecom company is sending the bills on pro-rata basis.

              Kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

              TATA Indicom — excess billing over and above plan

              My Tata Indicon data card number is :- [protected],i am using their service since last january 2009.
              I was using their 30 hrs plan and swieched to VDATA 1 GB plan from 16/8/09.

              Now first of all they send us bill from 23/7/09 to 10/9/09.and also they have charged us over and above 1 gb as our usage has nt even reached 1 GB.

              we have complained for this several number of times to their concerned department,but all the complain has fallen n deaf ear and they have ignored it all the time.

              so we have decided to discontinue using their service and switch ovver to Realiance or Airtel .

              This is really a very bad experience o[censored]sing Tata service ,as we normally see Tata as our backbonne of Economy.
              Have been going through the pains, cusotmers are going through.. not sure who will bell the cat.. god knows

              TATA Indicom/Photon + — Excess Bill Generation

              Sorry to say, but Tata Indicom is simply looting the customers of Photon+ services.

              My Photon+ plan is of 950 INR per month. According to this plan my download limit is of 2GB morning and 10 GB in the night. Nowhere its written and even customer care persons didn't tell me that if I starts download before 11 PM, it will take charges of morning plan even after 11 PM.

              Customer care of Tata Indicom didn't bothered me to tell these details at the connection time. But after bill generation of 3000 INR, they are telling me these details.

              Please don't use Photon +, it really sucks.... its services, its customer care... everything.
              i agree with you completely..i have got the same connection with the different tariff...the problem i am getting is the speed...i supposed to get 3.1Mbps(but customers atleast expected 1Mbps) but i am getting a speed like 100kbps for browsing and 10-20kbps for downloading...after paying INR 3500/-...i gave complaint twice which are not useful at all and they dont really care abt the complaints...as you said tata photon plus, customer care, technicians, everything sucks, dont take this connection...
              tata indicom has this custom of generating excess bills ...and i suppose there is a bug in their system which shows unimaginably high usage numbers!!!
              Or might be tata is playing a probabilistic game of fraud by generating excess bills

              TATA PHOTON is cheating on its customers through inappropriate billing and not keeping up to its word. I am a Photon Plus (rather I was, as I would no longer like to use its services) customer since near about six months now. My plan was Rs 750/- with 3600 minutes usage per month, after goingthrough their new unlimited plan details I have called their [protected] Customer Care number on 18th August and requested my plan to be changed to unlimited plan (i.e Rs 950/- + tax). They have assured me that since it was middle of my billing cycle, they will change my existing plan from next billing cycle onwards i.e from 5th September onwards. Just to be doubly sure, I have called their customer care number again on 2nd September and taken asurance of my plan change effective 5th September. I was assuming that the plan has changed from 5th September and I have started using internet more often and for long durations as it was unlimited plan. But, when I called up same Customer Care number on 9th of Sepptember for a billing query and also asked for my existing plan which was supposed to have got activated, to my surprise the Customer Care representative informed that i was still under Rs 750/- limited hours plan. I was spell bound and zapped by their act. I have formally lodged a written complaint and asked for an explanation. Their representatives have called me back and informed that I have only enquired about un-limited plan and not asked for change of plan. I was not happy at all and sent another written complaint, finally someone has called me on 12th September and informed that they have verified all my calls made to them and they accept that it was their fault and the unlimited plan would be effective as communicated form Sep 5th onwards and formally in systems it would get updated from Oct 5th as it was middle of billing cycle. Though the bill that would be generated for Sep month would be that of my rs 750 /- plan, but as they have confirmed post to bill generation they would re-work it to unlimited plan. Again I was betrayed, and the bill generated for Sept month on 4th Oct was for Rs 3600/- and they refuse to provide any solution as yet.

              I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM.

              FOR NEW USERS PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH TATA PHOTON SERVICES.

              tataindicom- photon Plus — my account does not take in pay bill

              my Account with the Tata indicom for paying bill online was working well. however, for last two months [February; March 2011], I have been facing the problem of failing at payment.
              I want to close down the previous account and start a new account, which again is not possible. I do not know why?
              Any help?

              I have been a regular susbscriber to tata photocn plus for one year([protected]). After being fed up with excess billing every month, I opted for unlimited connection under advance payment scheme with yearly rental being payable in 3 instalments (this was clearly explained to me by the customer serve rep of the co and can be verified by recorded msg). However, I was sent a bill for advance payment of the entire amount for the year in one instalment. On raising a complaint with the co, it was advised to me that I pay the same in three monthly instalments and the service wiill be continued(the same can also be verified by the co through the recorded msg of customer service rep).I accordingly paid the first instalment of rs. 3144 before the due date. However, I was utterly surprised to find that the company subsequently disconnected my service. Beinga frequesnt traveller, I have not been able to take up the matter in time with company nor could make any alternative arrangement causing undesirable hardship. This abrupt disconnection after a misleading inmformation is totally undesirable from a company of tata group.

              My previous payment record has been impeccable without any instance of non-payment or delay in payment. However, the company does not have any system of checking the antedecents of customers before taking a drastic and unjustified step

              Dear All,
              Please go through the mail below before buyng TATA Photon Plus.

              Latest update : After posting this mail to Tata indicom customer care, I got a reply saying that if I pay 1500 and buy a new device I will be able to use Tata photon internet. So they mean that everytime you switch location, you dump your device and buy a new one so those at Tata indicom will get their monthly pay.
              Even though I am the owner of the useless device, I am unable to use it because of the in TATA indicomm.


              This is regarding the series of issues I am facing with my TATA photon plus usb device.

              I bought a Photon Plus device last year, from a TATA dealer at Powai, Mumbai. I gave my local Mumbai address (Mahakali Caves, Andheri, Mumbai ) and obtained a postpaid connection. The postpaid account number is[protected]. The TATA indicom person came to the address specified above, and installed the device on my laptop . After using the postpaid connection for about two months, I applied for converting my postpaid connection to prepaid connection at TATA indicom showroom at Sakinaka, Mumbai. I went to Sakinaka office continously for about three months, and then got my postpaid connection converted to prepaid . The prepaid number is [protected].

              Till December, I was using the prepaid connection, after which I got transferred to Chennai, TamilNadu. After that when I tried to access my device in Chennai, I got an error that my account was blocked. So, I called up the Customercare and they said that an address verification was held in Mumbai at January, and since I was not at Mumbai at that point of time, my device was blocked.

              So, I applied for a fresh prepaid connection at TamilNadu, and tried to activate the device. But again, when I tried to activate using the new number, I received the message that my device is blocked. So I went to the dealer at Chennai, and told him the problem. He checked with TATA authorities and said that the Mumbai number is still in my device and it needs to be removed from my device in order for me to use the device again. So, when I tried to contact customer care to remove the Mumbai number from my device, I got the most surprising answer from the Customer care executive . He said that the number [protected] was registered to some other person (it was a male) in Mumbai.

              It was a shock to me to know that the prepaid number which I had been using for about 3 months was actually registered in the name of some other person. Finally the customer care guy said that it is impossible for me to use the device again, as the number can be removed only if the person to whom the number is registered to, applies to disconnect the number.

              My wonder is how come people at TATA indicom showroom at Sakinaka gave me a prepaid number that was already registered in some other person's name. They had given a connection in the name of some non-existent person, and finally say that the device is blocked because I was not at that address. How can I apply to deactivate the connection if the connection itself was provided in some other person's name. If I had given wrong address, how could the TATA indicomm person come to that address and installed the device on my laptop?? This is really irritating. Because of the mistake done by some stupid officials at Sakinaka office, I am unable to use the device that I bought for about Rs. 1800.

              I have enough proof to show that I am the original owner of the device and that I was using the postpaid and prepaid connections from my laptop.

              I bought the device using TATA employees discount. I had provided my ID card for ID proof. I have used my HDFC account to pay bills for my postpaid account, and to recharge the prepaid account.

              Since I am the original owner of the device, I feel I deserve the right to use the device. Just because some careless registered my connection in someone else's name, I cant be made to suffer for his carelessness. I can provide enough proof to claim the ownership. And that being said, I request you to act hastily so that I could be able to use the device within a week.

              I am getting frustrated day by day for wasting my money on a useless device. Its been six months since I came to Chennai, and I am unable to check mails or connect to internet just because I bought an useless device. I request you to take the necessary action immediately, as I cannot waste my time further on this useless device. If my complaint is not resolved in a week, I have no other option than to dump this device and opt for some other network provider who provide good customer service, and most importantly, who dont cheat customers . I also inform you that if I cant use this device, I want a full refund of my money, failing which I may be forced to take legal actions against you for all the distress and mental agony that I have been through so far.

              Hoping this issue will be resolved soon.

                Here is my experience:
                2nd week of August: Purchased a Tata Photon USB card. The salessman promised me the world as to how they will come and make sure that the card works. The card did not work on my laptop. The support guy came and blamed it on the system - was rude and had this attitude “it’s a system problem…I can’t do anything. Sucks to be you!”
                3rd week of August: Still did not work. Got lots of calls from the support folks all trying to find out what the problem was.
                4th week of August: Still did not work. Switched to a different machine. Now it connects to the network but after 2 min, the card disconnects….at this point, I am SICK of this freaking card! Whenever I called them, they said “our tech support said that it was a problem with your system”
                1st week of Sept: got the bill for first month! At this point I haven’t been able to use the card even once.
                3rd week of Sept: Called the customer care to cancel the card. They tried to keep me as a customer, asked me to send them the payment. I did not want to shout at the poor customer support girl since she is probably working for minimum wage.

                Now that I have cancelled my Tata Photon card, I am HAPPY! I do not have to deal with these guys any more! What a scam!!!!!!!!!!
                Bottom line, “customer service” is still a foreign concept in our country. No one gives a damn.

                Tata indicom photon — Poor Service and Product Quality

                Let me express my utmost dissatisfaction with this product and your service and the way you handle your customers.
                First of all I have been telling them people on the pathetic quality of speeds at my home. In spite of repeated complaints, the situation remains as poor as ever
                The speed is so slow that i cant use it and no response
                Secondly I have a INR 750 plan which will take my bill to INR 827 per month) with taxes. and they gave me a credit limit of INR 800. That means every 15 days they will cut the connection
                I am so fed up with their service that If I can have my money reimbursed, I am ready to give back their photon card
                I REGRET THE DAY I TOOK THEIR CONNECTION. I HAVE SUNK MY MONEY

                TATA Indicom — pathetic services

                We had applied for the landline connection in the month of dec,2010. Since there were no DP ports available the executive asked us to consult other people who already have extra phone connection. one of our friend was ready to give his DP port to us.We even paid the bill of the person whose DP port we were about to take,we got a landline after 1000 complaints and follow ups. The executive named Purna([protected]) he gave us extra 3 mobile sims which we didnt request. He said that these sims were given free with the landline connection. The landline's outgoing was cancelled by ur people for GOD knows what reason and we were getting bills even though the landline was disconnected by ur people only guys are charging us for FREE mobile connections.

                We are not getting bills and now incoming also has been disconnected. We have raised many complaints, but in vein. Since the day one we have been raising issues with Purna. He has stopped giving solution to us now he is replying with lots of arrogance.

                My Hospital has got lot of problems because of this issue. All my banners, adds, posters and even the website has got the same number.Because of the false promises made by ur executive our hospital is in huge loss both financially and socially.. Even the customer care is giving no solution.

                  I was in need of internet connection, so i applied for tata photon, when i went to showroom, executive said me it will work anywhere, when i used at my place, result was not satisfactory, then i made a call to tata customer care, first he did not listen my query, and disconnected my phone, i made call again, then one of your executive registered my complaint, your executive came to my house, and went away to saying that we dont have tower over here, i can not help. in this case, i paid 3500. seems all are waste, i was not expected by tata indicom, please do needful!

                  I also took Tata Photon plus usb for 3600/- as i shifted to a new apartment in Dwarka where Airtel line was not there. I took a 2gb plan in tata photon plus and the person who came to my house at 11pm to install informed that i can browse unlimited but download only till 2gb after which the charge would levy.
                  I did only browsing but after 15 days i got a message that my limit for 2gb is finished and from now there would be charge. This is real cheating on tata photon's executive ...then i had to take a 10gb plan and finally recently i got my tata photon disconnected as the speed they promised me 3.1mbps but i was getting pathetic speed of 100-150kbps.
                  I have suffered a loss of 3600/- for this tata photon plus usb and really suggest people not to take this connection.

                  I bought two connections, and am unable to use them, as they never connect. I keep getting Error 678, remote computer did not respond etc etc etc... it is killing me that i paid Rs.3500 each and continue to pay Rs.750 per month... TATA is most useless GROUP. THeir buses worth 55 lacs keep catching fire... They nan of 1 one lac also catches fire... they are not able to deliver Nano on schedule as promised... they are making a fool of consumers by selling them TATA PHOTON PLUS for Rs.3500 each, even when the product is NOT WORKING!!!

                  Tata Indicom/Photon+ — Pathetic Service

                  My tata photon number is [protected]. I am a victim of pathetic services since last 3 months. Everytime I try to connect my photon+, for nothing else but to get disappointed. The device and the service is so pathetic and unsatisfactory that you would not be able to open a website in 100 years. I have complained so many times but to get more disappointment. And the customer care executives are so ill-manned and don't know how to talk to a disappointed customer. Even today, when I called customer care, they hung up my call when I started complaining about the services without providing any resolution for the issue.

                  I don't understand why are they running this service if they can't handle it. The thing (photon+) which should work is not working but the thing (TATA TELESERVICES) which should shut down is still running.

                  Kindly provide a resolution for the same. My work has suffered alot due to this.

                    We have registered Nation DND with the company and for which the company agree. But still they send the promotion calls. On complaining to customer care they behave rudely and disconnect the call the when asked about the matter. They manupulate the customer care no. such that we can not interact the customer care directly and we listen their promotional call only. We are using the no. [protected] for last 7-8 years but now their services are un tolerable.

                    Tata Indicom Walky — Fraudulent Marketing / Billing

                    Dear Sir,
                    I have 3 Nos. of BSNL Mobile and 1 No. of BSNL Landline with 2mbps speed Broadband.
                    I didnt have any interest to buy or go for a TATA WALKY.
                    There was a desperate Marketing Call on my mobile and somehow I got convinced to go in for a TATA INDICOMM Landline connection.
                    I wanted a LG SET with SMS Facility & Address Book and 7 DIGIT CDMA Number which is the usual rule or event for any other connection. My friends / Relatives / Office etc. all have 7 digit LANDLINE CDMA.
                    I was supplied with a Huaweii Handset with a 10 Nos. CDMA No. and was informed that now TATA Has stopped giving 7 DIGIT LANDLINE NOS to customers.
                    I was surprised.
                    Then, I was provided with a handset which is not having a SMS keypad or any Phone Address BOOK memory. As far as I know, the instrument was billed from an outlet whose Proprietor happens to my close associate for years and I know , he is into TATA INDICOMM's STD Booth Distribution of Handsets and Kiosks. So, I was provided an handset billed from a STD/KIOSK booth distributor,
                    When I have protested or rather complained about this problem, I was told that I have to return back the instrument and in the Office, the SMS facility and Phone Book will be activated. I was taken aback of this Information Technology wonder as to how this can be activated on this set.
                    The next day, the instrument was returned back to me and the Dealer himself called up to say that the handset cant be activated with SMS and Phone Book and just after Diwali, the handset will be changed.
                    From that day onwards, till date, I am following up and up and up, they are maintaining only one story, we have sent indent, TATA has no stock of Handsets. I requested them to take extra money and provide with a cordless handset , that also , they maintain TATA is unable to provide.
                    As a protest , I have kept my telephone switched off from day 4 onwards.
                    Today I have been called up from BBSR No. [protected] to give personal details for billing purpose, which I have provided sincerely but raised a question to the lady , that when this connection is with a zero rental facility and the phone is kept switched off due to handset dispute, what bill can be raised on my account ???????????????????? I have asked her to let me know my bill amount, she has told me that she will call in 5 minutes but she never called back after 5 hours and when I called back,no one lifted the phone. I have called up this number at 17:12hours whose record can be printed from BSNL.
                    I want to question INDIA
                    1. Whether TATA has stopped giving 7 digit Landline Nos. viz. 6534015
                    2. Whether TATA is not in a position to supply handsets to New Connections
                    3. Whether TATA is so desperate in its grass root marketing that it does this type of business of taking money in advance cash and after the CAF is generated and the connection pushed , then, you inform customer that there is no handset.
                    4. Whether RATAN TATA's group is indulging in such low level marketing.
                    I think, to get a connection target achievement, customers are lured into juicy promotions and then harassed like this , which should come before the public before its too late and it is not expected from TATA Group.

                    TATA Indicom — Registered to DND, but Not Working

                    Dear sir,
                    I am a Tata Indicom customer ([protected], Ranchi) . I registered myself for DND (Do not Disturb) service before 6 months. But I dont think that Tata Indicom is following the guidelines that TRAI has issued for unwanted calls and msgs for all the telecom service providers. I still get msgs (about 2 to 3 msgs) a day. And I have registered this complaint 2-3 times to Customer care executive. But till now i'm having a lot of problem due to promotional msgs.

                      My Self Mr.Sayyed Hamidali , I took the Tata Indicom PCO connection from Bhusawal Dist jalgaon. Head Office they told me at the time your money should be refunded when you surrender your instrument and connection ,after 4 to 5 month. so sir i surrender my pco on date 17/10/2006. but till they are not refunding my advance when i talk to the executive of Tata indicom Bhusawal head office, they told me that you just launch your complain.on consumer forum or whatever, they all can't do anything in our matter.
                      Sir they Harrassing me from last eight month that we are doing process your cheque in our finance department, then sometime saying your cheque will be issued on date 04/08/2009 and your cheque no. is 159925. but when i went to there office after many week they are told me that your cheque was lost by our officer mr. Sanjay Shinde Jalgoan. Told by mr. Patil which are working on bhusawal head office. when i asked him then what's next he told me do whatever or complaint to consumer forum they can't do anything o[censored]s. Sir its my humble request to you pls do something for such kind of people who are harrasing peoples.

                        I am using Tata Indicom Wimax Connection
                        I am able to login to my Tata Indicom account,Tata indicom email with two different passwords.
                        Customer Care is not responding to my calls.When ever I call, either call will be put on hold or there will be No response.
                        I dont think tata indicom connection is secure since i am able to login to my account with two different passwords.

                            I have been continuously following up with Tata Indicom service team in vain.I have not received any welcome letter from your team nor any welcome call, so that I can at least know my billing date and free usage (10GB) calculated on pro rata basis. I have always checked my Internet usage online, but never its mentioned there, its mentioned there as 10240 MB free. My call or service was barred after I have crossed 11 GB, that means they have assumed that I got 10 GB free!!

                            Now I received the bill on 9th Sept (activated on 18th). Now when I have received the bill, the free usage is calculated as 6.5 GB approx, and rest 3.5 GB is charged to me. If you actually do your billing considering 6.5 GB pro rata basis, then credit limit of Rs.1000 trigger will work at 7.5 GB usage (1GB more). This never happened, now they charge me a bill of Rs.9000 odd, and wants me to pay for it, and I receive a collection call from Tata Indicom team.

                            I want them to waive off the amount, or deduct the free usage from the next month. I want an urgent revert on this.

                            TATA INDICOM PHOTON+ — Excess billing

                            I had taken a new Photon+ wireless internet connection on 27th of May, 2009. I had used it until 10th of may after which my connection was barred. When enquired they said that I had exceeded my limit o[censored]sage and my bill amount is Rs. 18, 203. My tariff says Rs. 1, 250 per month and 15GB of free usage. On 10th of May, I had received a message from Tata indicom stating that I had reached 75% of my bundled usage limit and if I exceed the limit, I need to pay Rs.2/MB or Rs.1/min. This means that I had not exceeded the limit. Even if I had crossed, my credit limit is Rs. 2500 and they should have barred by connection when I reached that amount. When I asked for clarification, they are not clear in their explanation and say they have escalated the issue but have no clear response. They say they would call back in 4 working hours and never turn up. When I ask about that they say that they had given a call and I didnt pick up the call. They also claim that they have sent messages about the net usage but I havent received it. A colleague of mine also has a similar issue. He had used net only for 4 days and his connection was also barred and his bill amount was Rs. 7000.
                            I am also having the same issue with TATA Indicom Photon connection. Could you please provide me the solution for this .

                            Tata indicom photon — MIS INFORMATION

                            Dear Sir,
                            On Friday, 14th Aug, I bought a TATA INDICOM PHOTON BROADBAND. As I was travelling next day, I had specifically asked the dealer that if the connection can be activated on Friday 6 pm latest, then only I would purchase the device. He promised that it would else I could return the device.

                            Whole of Saturday I tried calling him, he avoided my calls or made false promise. Same story was repeated on Sunday.

                            Monday morning, I told him to take back hi device. He agreed and called me t o the shop.
                            There he said that my connection was active and he would not take it back.

                            My point is that I bought the device because it would be activated on the very same day.


                            Now from TATA reps I am told that it takes 48 hours to activate the connection and he had miscommunicated me.


                            He is not taking back the device and I was not able to access the net on Friday, saturday and sunday when I most needed it while travelling.

                            TATA Indicom Photon — Failure to deliver promised product and absconding dealer

                            We had paid Rs 4000 for Tata Indicom Photon High SPeed Internet from an Authorised dealer in Dindoshi, Rupam Enterprises, by the name of Suraj
                            This person took the money and documents and has been absconding for the last 3 weeks. He is also not reachable by call and the shop remains closed as well.

                            We called the call centre and they asked us to go to Santacruz Customer care and then register the complaint

                            I feel very sorry for such a service being rendered by the biggest Indian conglomerate.

                            I feel they need to be penalised by the consumers court

But on that day the device sold to me was SXC-1080 CDMA USB modem (for Rs. 1599 + Sim for Rs. 100 + Security for Rs. 200) which I got to know once I reached home. Next day I went there and met again to out let manager Ms.Pratibha Nair and she said that there is no difference and it would work in same way as photon works and we do not have that device even though I was not satisfied and came back to home. Since then I am getting lots of problem and unable to get a good connectivity as well. After complaining again to her and asking for photon device only and then she said that it has not been introduced in MP yet. Now my question is if it is not introduced yet, how they were ablke to do the demo to me and why the brochures are lying in their out let.
                            I am highly disappointed and found that they unkowingly sold me the wrong modem which I was not looking for by giving me excuses. After spending lot of money and extra Rs.300 as well unable to use the internet and my work is also suffering which I was not expecting from such a large company.
                            I would like you to kindly check it on your behalf and help me to get my right Photne Modem which actully I am looking for.

                            TATA Indicom Photon — network problem

                            I am user of tata indicom mobile photan prepaid plan, tata indicom photan plan is having internet and TV options.but there is no netwok signals in the area in and near by the city BHUJ.many times asked and informed to POOR tata cust.care but there is no responce and they are saying bring minimum 10 customers detail signed hard copy application and submit to our near office.

                            Tata Photon — Mis selling

                            I have taken this Tata photon connection from one of the retailer Aman. His Contact No. is [protected]. He sold me this instrument from one of his guy named Ajay who,s contact no. is [protected]. He had taken 1400 cash from me and had given me the instrument for which no receipt has yet been provided to me. Also, after that i have been calling up Aman a number of times but he has never responded to me.
                            He told me that i will get a 950 Rs rental for this postpaid connection and will get a speed of 3.1 MBps. Today when i was downloading some stuff, i was getting a speed of 2.5 kbps. I was shocked to see this speed.
                            For the same i then called up the call centre. Someone in the name of Bharat spoke to me and was very rude in his communication. He never provided me any solution to my problem. Rather he said to close the connection by giving a request. I asked him as to what needs to be done about the instrument. He said, "do whatever you like".
                            I am very dissatisfied with this kind of service being provided and the kind of misselling which has been done. Also, when i asked Bharat about my account details, he said i need to login and check my details and that he could not help me. He also said that i had crossed my limit of 5 GB wherein i had used this connection only the 3rd time. Neither have i yet done any major downloads.

                            i had take a call from one of your representatives today itself. He told me that i had a compolaint and would like to know what the same was. I am shocked that people who are calling me to resolve the complaint dont even know what the problem is. Anyways, i did tell him the same and he then told me that he will ask the retailer who has sold me the instrument, to get in touch with me and give me the bill. Also, then i asked him what about the speed problem. He said i was over with my 5 GB usage on 25th May and that was the reason the speed was slow. Also, i told him in that case, i was to get a speed of 155kbps atleast. He then replied that it is because of the location that signal is not coming. so i said, i am getting all full bands of signal in the connection then how come i am not able to get good speed. He said then, because my billing cycle for this month was over thats why the speed was slow and it will get better next month.
                            I dont understand what crap you and your team is upto. Also, i told him that i was nver told about all these things when i had taken the connection. This guy replied that then, you should have asked these things and that he cannot do anythiung about the same.
                            I would like to know as what is this way of resolving the problem and who else if not tata indicom guys will respond to the problem.
                            I would like to tell you that if this is not resolved at the earliest, kindly get this connection cancelled and refund my money. Else, iw ill definitely file a police complaint now.
                            I am no fool that by providing these illogical so called solutions of yours, my problem or the priority of this complaint gets over. It still is the same.

                              I have sent so many complaints to Tata Indicom but continuous wrong deductions also that are still going on. today also more amount is deducted from my balance. so kindly take some action because i'm not only a single person who is facing these problems but there are a lot of people in my relation who are facing these problems such as --
                              - Call Drop
                              - Wrong Deduction
                              - Caller Tunes Automatic Subscription
                              - unnecessary Disturbance Due to Caller Tunes Sms whole day
                              - Network Problem (the whole day signal comes in and out continuously)
                              I have been following-up with the customer care as well as the Tata Indicom's official, but they are reluctant to solve my problem. Every time I call them, they register a complaint and say it will be solved and close down the complaint at their end without any solution and for caller tunes and wrong deduction say that “the amount will not be refunded”.
                              We all can't waste money like this and can't tolerate this kind of service like we are forced to keep one more mobile with us of non-tata indicom connection because tata's network is very bad not only in single area but everywhere all over delhi as my all relatives who have taken tata mobiles under pay per plan are facing same problems and are saying that we can't rely on tata indicom network so we have to keep other mobiles also and then what's use of taking mobiles of tata indicom. I am very dissatisfied from this type of Service and mischievies behaviour from the company's peoples. This is totally burglery and theft.
                              So kindly look into the matter and do needful to justify the same

                              TATA Indicom — Problem regarding connection

                              Dear Sir

                              I had taken a new Tata Indicom new connection(Post paid) from the Tata hub in Jayanagar - 4th Block, Bangalore from the person named Suresh and gave him all my documents.He told me that within 24 hrs. my connection would be activated, so I gave him all the money and required deposits.

                              But after 2 days also, when my connection was not activated, I called him up and he told me that it would be activated by mid night.I again waited for some more time but to no use.

                              Then I kept calling him in his office and on his mobile and he never picked up my call and once when he picked up the call, he told me that my application has been misplaced, so I need to fill up one more form and came to my place to get the signature and he told me that now it would be done by the evening.I waited till the evening also but again no use.

                              Again when I called him up the next morning, he told me that since I am not married and staying alone, so I have to deposit another 500 Rs. for security and I was really shocked to hear that.It was really ridiculous to hear all these crap and then finally when I agreed to pay him 500/- he got the number activated.

                              So finally I got my new connection activated in 6 days which normally takes just few hours to be done and that too after hundreds of calls given to him - god bless that man - SURESH.

                              I have taken new mobile with pay per call call plan on 12sep09 and recharged with Rs.100 but very less balance is left even i have not made so many calls when i checked out then i came to know that welcome tune is set on my mobile. i called up customer care on 15/9/09 at 11.55pm but the person who pick the call said that with all new connections caller tunes are set 4free and after 2days charges of Rs 30per month are deducted this is rule of company. we cant remove caller tune from your mobile and regarding balance also i have spoken at customer care, i said that we have not made so many outgoing calls but very less balance is left, then he said 30rs. must have been deducted 4caller tunes set at your mobile rest we don’t know as our systems are not updated daily.

                              I have registered complaint at customer care that network goes down very frequently whenever i make calls and the calls disconnects again and again then they said that about network we cant do anything network is company problem..

                              Till now wrong deductions are taking place daily. Today I have made only a single call but 3 Rs are deducted instead of 1Rs. And yesterday also I have made 3 local and 1 std call so 3+3= 6 Rs. Must be reduced from my balance but 11 Rs. Are deducted. Before that also I’m checking wrong deductions on daily basis.. I have called at customer care so many times but nobody listens and most of times disconnects call saying systems are on updation we can't help you else say that u have made so many calls that’s why balance is deducted.. and i have sent complaint on website also but still there is no response. The complaint no. is - 106461 and my mobile no. is [protected]. Please take suitable action so that network problem is resolved and there will not be any wrong deductions in future. I also want my 30 rs back in my account that are deducted for caller tunes without my wish and please make sure that company dont do this with its customers either in terms of balance deduction or caller tune or network problem.

                              Tata Indicom Prepaid Connection — Wrong Deductions & Weak Network Signals

                              I have taken pay per call plan on on my mobile but so many wrong deductions are taking place. The calls also disconnects in between automatically again and again from the day I have taken this pay per call plan in my mobile. The company reduces call charges in new plans but then network goes away again and again so what’s the use of these plans if call disconnects in every 2 or 3 minutes. I have called at customer care so many times but nobody listens and most of times disconnects call saying systems are on updation so we can't help you. I have sent complaint on website also but still there is no response. The complaint no.’s are – 106471 and 107062 and my mobile no. is [protected]. Please take suitable action so that network problem is resolved and there will not be any wrong deductions in future. Please make sure that company dont do this with its customers either in terms of balance deduction or network problem or anything else.

                              TATA Indicom — Theft of talk time

                              I went to sleep at 00:30 a.m. 30th November checking the talk time balance. It was Rs. 8.00.
                              After that between 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. a call came from [protected], I made a call to [protected] for two minutes and I made a call to 65168145 for two minutes

                              The call I made was to tata indicom phones. Those are free since I use Rs 325 recharge voucher.
                              After that I again attempted to call [protected] but in vain. I checked the balance. It was 93 paisa only.
                              I called customer care at 12527. They told have played online games at 00-37, 00-40 and 00-45 am 30th November. I shouted on him. I never play games. And in our flat only two o[censored]s live (me and my wife). She too have mobile ([protected]) and never play games. What is this non sense? Why should my money be robbed like this? This is the only reason why Indian consumers who can spend more have restricted spending. No strict enforcement of law leads to decreased spending, decreased urge in spending, decreased urge in earning and decreased urge in enterprising mood. My mobile no - [protected]

                              with due respect I want to draw few lines for your kind consideration and concrete action.

                              I have been using tata indicom prepaid mobile (No-[protected]) for long time. last month they cut Rs30/- (Thirty only) for the voice chat activation automatically, when I reported to customer care they told you must have selected it .which is purely dubious. then I sent SMS UNSUB VOICE to 582820 and confirmed after two days from customer care that the voice chat service is deactivated.

                              Then exactly on 14th Apr 10 again I got another SMS from 129100 stating that your voice chat service is deactive and send sms to activate it. Then also I sent UNSUB VOICE to 582820 so that there will be no doubt.

                              Again automatically (Tata indicom) on 15 Apr 2010 at 10:21 hours when I was in office and busy with my office paper works got another SMS from 129100 telling that Dear Customer, Due to low balance you have been renewed with Rs10/per 10 days for the Astrology on SMS alerts. This is auto-renewable at Rs30/-per 30 days. to unsubsc(1/2).

                              Today (15/04/10) I requested customer care 121 and booked the complaint. The lady told she will forward the mail to Mr Kiran and you will get feed back in 45 days.My compliant number is -[protected] dated 15 Apr 10 at pre-paid customer care tata indicom services ltd.

                              As I donot touch my mobile in my home how it is happening? And I use to see only how many miss calls are there? as we are not allowed to use mobile in my office.

                              Please verify this and I want my money back.

                              They have deducted 30 rupees for caller tune without my reply. Simply they have deducted amount with one phone call. Every day we are receiving more than 7 calls from tata indicom services with different numbers. Every time we received and cut these unused calls.

                              Today I have received one call from tate indicom service and cut this. For receiving this call they have deducted amount. For this i have contacted customer care center. they said, you have received phone call that is related to the caller tune.

                              Is it correct way to deduct the amount? I have sufficient balance, so they have deducted amount without proper information and proper reply from my side. If I dont have sufficent balance, did they provide this caller tune?

                              Difficult to track every day how many rupees they have deducted. Unexpectedly i have observed this.

                              For setting the caller tune they dont need last recharge amount, recharge date and custermer name, but for deactiving caller tune they asked these details. Is it the correct procedure?

                                I buy my first no.[protected] in the month of july,and after that i was recharge atleast 4 times sms voucher on this no.after that the company block my sim and said on your ther is no facility to recharge sms voucher.In my openion this is not fair to block my sim to recharge sms card.this is totally the harisment to the customer.i talked so many time to customer care but they were not able to give me proper ans.because they have not any logical answer.all time thy were said,with in a 24 hours u will take facility.but i started complaint at 19 to till know,and today is 22nd.it means i suffered 4 days,and result is NEGATIVE.this is my 1st complaint.

                                2nd one complaint-my 2nd no. is [protected],i was purchase this sim on 5th.when i purchase,the dealer told me,when ever u recharge no.u will get double talktime 4 six month.after that i was recharge my no.with the 100 Rs. of voucher on10th of september,after that i will get only 88 Rs.balance talktime,at the place of 176 Rs.taltktime.and this not only the dealer said to me ke were get double talktime,i[censored] recharge atleast at the amount of 100Rs. even i have also my sim envelope and on my envelope there company also mention on that,if customer recharge the sim and get double talktime for six month.and on that day i complaint countinously till know,but result is as usval NEGATIVE.I m a student and i m wasting my lots of time,on the company stupidty.I[censored]r fraud,and i[censored] r cheat with the customer,one day u will lost ur company and lost ur customer faith.because customer believe on u and u cheat the customer and wasting her time also.i always said to my friends that tata indicom is best of the best company,but know a days i said this is the worst of worst company.i suggest all my friends don't by tata mobile,in ever life,bec.they cheat the customer and the company is fraud. that's it, i don't want to say any thing about this fraud and cheating with the customer company.

                                  I have purchased a Tata Indicom Walky(Prepaid Landline) recharge coupon from Sri Adi Narayana Traders, Opp to Sri Ganesh Darshan Hotel , 3rd Block , Jayanagar, Bangalore for Rs.550. But after scratching card itself I acme to know that the card is exipred. Immediately I went back to the same shop and asked him to replace with the new one or return back the money. But he refused to accept it and argued that he has not sold it. Late I complained to Tata Indicom customer care , the complint number is NTT[protected]. But even after that I did not get any favourable response from TATA Indicom.

                                  Now I need either replacement for the card or my money back.

                                  I had 2 TATA Indicom numbers one lanline and other one mobile. I called up the customer care to disconnect the landline number they tried to convinvce me to continue with the service i explained them that the signal quality was very poor.They agreed to send an engineer who visited and said that this was a known problem with TATA and there is no fix for it, i asked TATA to disconnect the numer, which they did but they keep on calling me for the bill which was genareted after the disconnection. This whole mess sorted out after frequent explanations to all their reps that the number was disconnected 3 months ago. Now the same thing is happening with my mobile number i asked for disconnections 2-3 months ago but still i am getting calls to pat the bill.                                         Dear sir/madam,

                                        I have been using the Honest 450 plan of tata indicom from last 1 year. The Only reason behind switching to tata services is that they were providing unlimited calls to tata network all over the india. Few days back i got a letter from them and i was shocked to see that they had changed my plan. They had put a cap of 2000 STD call on my STD T2T usage, and after which they are going to charge me .5 paise for every pulse. The reason they had written in the letter is "a small section of consumers is abusing the free local and STD T2T offered under Honest 450 plan".
                                        I want to know one thing that how come someone could abuse any service when u had provided a plan for free usage. Acc. to the plan which was provided one can use the phone 24x7, because that is something for which we were paying them.
                                        Now they introduced a new plan Honest 750 which is same as Honest 450 but only thing is unlimited calls without any cap of 2000 mins.
                                        This seems to be a very cheap trick to make revenue. I believe that government shouldn't allow these type of things. Even if they want to change a plan then that should be for all the new customers, not the existing ones.
                                        If there is nothing done at this moment then this will keep on going and the service providers will keep on playing with the customers.
                                        I request you to take some action or else plz guide me what should i do.

                                        I also faced same Problem. But in my case they did not send me any mail, call or sms about this change and directly i got my shocking bill will added rup 639 for extra tata 2 tata calls.

                                        TATA indicom does not follows policies of TRAI.

                                        1. they changed existing post paid plan without customer's agreement
                                        2. they does not provide postpaid-prepaid connection conversion
                                        3. in their 224/- rent Business Silver plan STD is 2.75/- per mins, whether STD can not be more that 1.50 Rup per min
                                        4. they do not provide connection transfer from one region to other. if I'm moving from UP to Delhi then i have to withdraw existing connection in UP and then need to buy new connection in delhi
