Sir,

I have subscribed for Photon connection of Tata Indicom. The sales executive and his team kept many of the facts hidden despite my direct queries regarding its connectivity in various states of Maharashtra like Yavatmal, Gondia, Chandrapur, Amgaon, Amravati. Now i am being told that it is only available in Mumbai and Nagpur. They even told me abt its connectivity throughout the country but now it has come to light that all is fake and they will be installing towers in the coming time but they are selling their product in the false name.

Kindly take the matter seriously and resolve.

    I have mail to the TATA Indicom again and again but still i am not getting response. Plz suggest me now what should i have to do.

    The problem is that i have purchased your tata walky and i pay Rs- 1000 for this. The walky MODEL no is-LSP-35CT. It is having some problem for that for resolving the problum i called to the customer care and they give me the address of LG care, when i visit there they told me the battery of walky is duplicate and other thing also. Then i visited to your leela bhavan office (RO) they committed me that they will replace my walky but still i am facing the problem and it has not replaced.

    I have complained to your customer care and they told me that my complained will be resolve by 18/07/09, but its a very shame full thing that today it self no one is there to resolve my complain.     We are using the walky from past 2 years now the walky is not working at all from 1 months and it is not switching on also. in case it cannot work can u give us new walky in the same number.
    My tata indicom is not working blank display and voice at all ...only it shows the charging light...
    there is no praper response from your customer care and improper working of tata walky.. so pls disdonnect my tele service as soon as possible

      Based on the below, we would like to inform you that we have checked with the Concern Technical team and understand that the Modem is found faulty, and this is not derived post yourself visiting the Authorized Service Centre, but when the complaint was registered via us on 10-AUG-2009 16:17:32, and our Technical Engineer visited your premises and found the same faulty and then requested you to visit the service centre.

      However, It is noted from the Service Centre that as part of the process they have taken the modem and the same was kept under observation and finally derived by the higher Technical level that the modem was physically damaged and hence they were unable to rectify the issue.

      Further, we would like to inform you that for physically damaged modems, it is the customer who would need to purchase the same at his own cost.

      Trust this clarifies your requirement.

      Pls cancel the connection, as you will also do so by going thru the below interaction at your service center in Nungambakam:

      • I was there yesterday morning; and I explained that the problem is with the front of the instrument, as whenever I move it or hold hard it works;
      • They said, this is a physical damage and we would charge Rs 250/-, and will take 30 mins
      • I said that’s fine and left the instrument with them
      • When I came at 4 PM, no.1 they were not courteous, and then the came with the instrument and said that the Mother board has a problem, along with the front of the instrument
      • I told them that the problem was specific to front of the instrument, as it use to work
      • They were sarcastic and said we understand it better, and now you need to buy a new instrument
      • They I enquired that this should be covered under warranty and they refused that as well..

      I returned to Delhi last night, and when I tried using it again, my laptop turned Off.
      I tried many times, and same result…

      I’m not a complete fool to technology; they have done wrong soldering, which resulted in cross connection, spoiling the instrument…

      Now:

      Either get me a replacement within 24 hrs

      Or

      Cancel the account and I fill send the case to consumer forum, , , ,

      Tata Indicom - Net USB — Modem deffect & wrong charges

      Please kindly note that I am a customer of Tata telecom A/C[protected] Tata indicom no [protected] ) belong to VDATA Plan E .The Modem / USB provided by Tata against payment of Rs 3000 became out of order just after 9 month from purchase date & Despite of my several request nobody helped me & somehow Ii was able to get it repaired with payment of Rs 300.00 .TATA charged for net also while USB was out of order for that period.
      Again Now in the 4th week of July 2009, the same USB modem became out of order & despite of my running pillar to post No body from Tata has helped me in repair. More over I received a bill for July & August despite of fact that I have not used net services because of fault in modem supplied by Tata . I have made several complain to Tata indicom but no result .More over reply & behaviour of your tele-exicutive was not good who has called me up for 2 written complain.Now they send mail showing complain resolve while nobody has visited /contacted/ serviced me till date.
      I request you to kindly see the matter & arrange the same,
      1. Free replacement of modem as it is out of order 2nd time .
      2. Reversal of Net bill charges for the period I could not availed service because of fault in Tata modem.
      Hope your team will take appropriate action with taking up matter with Tata telecom as well maintain the Best Customer Protection services legacy maintained by your consumer forum

      I had a lot of difficulties with this company. Nobody picks up phones. The service is very bad. I am trying my best to cancel my connection and nobody tells how to do it!!

      I am paying my bills for the last 3 months for nothing! Can some body tell me how to cancel my postpaid wizz-to-surf connection?

      I am seriously thinking of contacting at the highest level about this problem. It is a shame that these people are using Tatas name.

      I got photon+ last month, They said first month bill is free, i got a bill to pay 1447 for first month, while i got photon+ they said browsing is free on 1500 plan only data download is cost, but now they are saying browsing is cost, i like to cut my photon+ connection.i request a replay.
      I CANT SEE THE TIME USING I ASKED SO MANY TIMES BUT THEY GIVE IRRESPONSIBLE ANSWER

        On 20 Aug 2009 I tried to recharge my tata indicom prepaid number from the tata indicom website through the online e-recharge. The transfer was successful from my SBI bank account, but the balance never reached to my number. The amount was deducted from my SBI account which can be seen clearly in my bank statement. My reference nos for the transaction are MSBI[protected]IG10170699 MSBI[protected]IG10170741 both with an amount of Rs 150. You are please requested to look into the matter at the earliest please.

          Hi

          The details of my photon connections are:
          Plan : Freedom plan
          Activation date: 28th July 2009
          First Bill date 06th Aug 2009(Bill period 28th July to 2nd Aug - 5 days)
          Invoice number[protected]
          Account number[protected]

          Facts of case:
          The first billed amount was 6584.98/- for Photon Plus. This was for a period of 5 days and for the usage of approx 30-35 hours approx.

          Complaint:
          We activated the internet on 28th July under the existing relationship of my cousin Hemang. As per the plan the monthly billing should not exceed 1250/-for 15 GB for first 2 months. The bill was Rs 6584.98/-approx. Can by any means an internet bill be 6584/- for 5 days?.
          Also when we went to inquire about it in tata gallery the people there had no proper knowlege of why such billing . They just gave us the itemised bill in which we came to know that the billing was just as per the whims and fancies of TATA Photon. Eg for 18 min usage the charges are 2154/-.
          Also The speed is very slow for which we have made complaint and the technician visited us but he also did not help atall
          I have taken subscription for business use and we generally use sites such as Google and just dail. There are no movie or other downloads from internet. I have lost business for approx 12 lacs because of this. All my competitors are taking away my clients due to lack of services from our part.This is all because of Tata photon

          hey i signed up with tata photon plus.. its been three months.. my plan is 1100rs / month 10gb bandwidth...my second bill is with 5 gb as per the bill .. but my actuall usage is only 3 gb.. i called and complinte almost 100times.. but no go. i left it becos anyway i had 10gb usage.. but the last month bill gave me a heart atack in which i already expected.. becos form the day one in there usage meter shows me incorrect reading.. i called them many timess. i have send screen shots.. i spoke with many people.. all i got is lets waits got bill to check .. now i got it.. its total of 13 gb usage it shows and i got a bill for 2900rs .. but i know 1000% i havent used much..i am still waiting for the answer.. this is my major issue as of now.. but they keep changeing billing date.. due date in the past three months bill.. i am so tired and frustrated.. the customer service is the crap and a big piece of i have ever seen n called...omg i cant beleive ta i cant do anything abt it ...do anyone have same problem.. lets escalate...lets c when tat guys gonna change n do things rite..
          I got my connection in March and have had problems with billing every single month. The first month was a nightmare. They didn't inform me of the date the billing cycle would start and I got a bill of Rs.12, 000. I got a very small discount on the bill and I continued using the service because I'd already spent Rs. 3, 600 on the modem, for which I believe one doesn't get a refund. There is absolutely no customer service and the call center people probably haven't graduated from kindergarten so there's no point talking to them. It's totally pathetic and seems to be a total con job, but I need a decent speed for my work and already spent so much that I grudgingly continue with the service. It's a real shame that one has to accept this daylight robbery.
          I completely agree with you.I think Tata Photon + has the worst service.They just fool people.I have started using it since one month and my plan is [protected]@650 plan where in i get 2GB download free.I have got a bill of Rs.924 for 20days.My usage would be hardly 30hrs in these 20days.Moreover i have not downloaded anything except for a ppt.You have to be a millionare to use Tata photon + connection.Prices are really really high

            I have complaint so many time in our vadapalani EB vadapalani office but nobody attend it.

            my house near having one transformer, one of the EB official put the single wire
            and connect the next opposit house(past eight months) this wire was going via my house rouff it
            is very dangerous anybody tuch the wire it may be an accident
            please do needful
            when i visit your EB vadapalani office AE/WIREMAN/OFFICIAL NOT AVOILABLE

              Hello,

              I bought a Tata Indicom prepaid number from Tata Indicom store located at Santacruz West, near railway station. I have submitted my documents twice to them, but still my number has been deactivated. Customer care said that they have not received any documents from the store yet. I have visited store many times, and they said my documents were submitted on time twice. Now what should I do? This is so frustrating for a consumer... I totally want to burn down Tata Indicom company right now!

                This is regarding my Tata Indicom mobile no. [protected], yesterday i did succesful recharge for Rs 222, as stated in the message recieved. But the current balance is still showing Rs 33.40.

                If the recharge was successful of Rs 222, how can the balance be Rs 33.40?

                Need an immmediate resolution of the above problem as i believe Tata is a responsible brand for their customers.

                  my name is sumit arora staying in delhi, i have an tata indicom connection [protected]. today, 15th aug.2009, saturday, i called to a tata indicom no. [protected] at around 10.50 am, and caller tune of that number has been automaticaly copied to my number without even touching to "*" button. i have called customer care(12524) and request them to lodge a complaint about this and reverse the caller tune charges they deducted from my account, but they refused to do so, and said it could be technical fault but amount once deducted will not be paid back, then i request them to transfer my call to any senior official. then the customer care executive told me to wait on the line as he transfring my call to his senior, but after 5 mins the call was disconnected and i called them again so many times the call connects every time but the customer care option is not working.
                  this is to request you that please take a appropriate action in this case as soon as possible.

                  The same situation i am facing here. they activate with our intimation and deduct the money from account and they send us the MSG Based on Your balance we are activated caller tune to you callers.

                    Hello everyone,

                    Frustrated and disgruntled with service of tata indicom post paid connection i am here on this forum to air my frustration on the disservice of one of the most respected brands of our country tata.

                    I have been using tata indicom's post paid connection almost from the time they introduced this telco service till date. All my business contacts, my personal and social network connects me on this number and i have no option but to continue with the number. You may be wondering if i am so dissatisfied why didn't i leave tata early on. The answer is the problem started a couple of months back (Infact its been almost 8 months) i think this is the price that i am paying for my loyalty to this big (Actually up...) brand.

                    Offlate they have started this new services of selecting caller tones from the ones they advertise. Ideally/legally this service of caller tone is by customers choice, i. E., if the customer wants then he can sms and get the caller tone for his number or can just avoid. But look what tata is doing, very intelligently without consent of customer they send an sms to customer asking for customer's "disapproval" for the said ringtone and if you don't send sms disapproving the activation they activate the same and charge you. Good going tata indicom this way you will definately make a lot of money, but you would definately end up risking brand tata.

                    Now listen to what alllllllllllllllll have i done before airing my view on this forum.

                    1. More than 50 sms sent disapproving the request for activating the new ring tone (I think i spend like almost 30 minutes everyday smsing).
                    2. More than 50 times in person complaints made at various customer care centers, don't even have records of all complaints i have made.
                    3. More than 5 registered complaints on 121... Note some of my complaint numbers i[censored] want[protected],[protected],[protected]...) (Please check the call logs and also listen to the conversation - to the officials if you are reading this)

                    I am completely exhausted, can't take this harrasment anymore, its not only me alone who is facing this problem there are a lot of tata indicon account holders in my family and friend circle a lot of them are facing the same issue. The problem seems to be systemic in nature but the company officials are ignoring this.

                    The last resort after airing my complaint on this forum would be consumer court...

                    Tata Indicom Postpaid Connection — Delay in activation, very very poor customer service!

                    i registered in TATA web site. but from few days ago i am not opening that one. because it is not connecting to server. i am facing this problem nearly 15 days from onwards. please go through this one

                    Tata Indicom Postpaid Connection — Refund of money

                    I had applied for a postpaid connection through M/s Shingavi Enterprise, (authorised Distributor for Tata Indicom), Shop no.5, Gawade Colony, Chinchwadgaon road, Pune-33 (Phone nos. 65328372, 65078241, [protected], [protected]) and paid an amount of Rs.450/- ( Rs.250/- as deposit, Rs.99/- for SIM Card and Rs.99/- for activation) vide Invoice no.1204722. But unfortunately, my invoice was rejected on some technical ground and hence I did not receive the mobile connection. Due to this, I should get the refund the amount which I had deposited. But in stead of repeated request, the above dealer is not refunding the amount and in stead informed me that a draft will come from the company. Kindly clarify whether it takes more that 3 months to return just Rs.450/- for a company like your's.
                    In this context, I expect that you will kindly take necessary step to refund my money at your earliest.

                    I can feel what you could have gone through, i had a similar experience after i bought their 'plug to surf whiz' internet connection for pc n laptop. While i was buying they said, the speed offered was better than reliance n all the blah blah. When i started using it, i came to know what speed they were taling about. I feel like crying using this device to connectto net. Please....anyone who reads this,do not ever buy a tata connection for net n tell others too..........

                    TATA Indicom — delay in activation of Postpaid Connection

                    I was not still getting activation of my postpaid connection, as it is already passed one week. and the staff of your tata indicom office were not resoponding to my complaint. I have already submitted the required documents as well the fee charges.

                    I am holding TATA Indicom Post paid service connection from 2003 onwards and paying monthly bills without any delay till today. 6 months back the company introduced a scheme on paying Rs.1000 incoming charges free for two years with call charges Rs.1 for mobile for 1 minute and for land line Rs.2. I have taken this option and paid Rs.1000.
                    Now after 6 months they have introduced on paying Rs.650 lifetime free in this call charges per miniuteRs.0. 75 paise for mobile to mobile and Rs.1.50 paise for land line. The TATA customer service executive again asked me to pay Rs.650 for making me in to the new scheme.
                    When they introduce like this scheme first they have to give the benefit for me as I have paid Rs.1000 only for two years. This is the way in our country the business people are looting amount from common man and becoming rich and rich day by day.
                    In India Police stations, Hospitals, Courts and all other public service departments are there but this type of complaints there is no public service not available for quick action taking this as advantage all business people are become like any thing. The one person who will come and save our Indians from these politicians by making correct rules implementations.

                    TATA Indicom — Delay in postpaid connections

                    The service providers at tata indicom outlets are not at all aware of the rules and regulation to be followed while providing post paid connections which results in Unnecessary problems for the customers wasting both the money and time.

                    For a single connection i have been called atleast 10 times with one or the other proff and yet the connection is not activated. The outled is located at kukatpally, Hyderabad. People sitting there are fools, who are not even aware of the proofs which needs to be submitted while taking a connection.

                    TataIndicom — Postpaid connection not yet activated

                    I had given my all proof required for post paid connection on 03/03/2009. The max time for the connection to get activated in 48 hrs . Still not activated, if i call customer service they beet around the bush. Have made more then 20 calls speaking to various executives and there managers. Everyone says will call you in 15 min but no one has called up yet . Can anyone tell me how to proceed legally for there bad service .
                    It is high time for the consumers to take action legally for such irresponsible answers.

                    I too have taken postpaid connection on 21st March 09, and I am told that same will be activated by 24th March 09, but to my surprise when I contacted the sales person (to whom I had taken connection), he investigated and told me that my connection is rejected due to improper address proof. Note here that same was no where informed to me, and when I queried from my side, only then I was told the same.

                    But with the great help of that person and his collegue (Mr. Saurabh and Mr.Ashu) same get activated by 27th March 09 (after a full one week). I really appreciate these two person's effort of helping me and getting my connection activated.

                    I am Bijender Kumar, I brought a new connection of tata indicom on 13.04.2010 and paid security amount of Rs.500 after three days my connection activatied but after two day my connection unactivatied.                       I have purchased a tata indicom prepaid some from a tata indicaom true value shop and submitted all the documents as need on 30-July-2009. On 7th of August the connection was disconnected. As I was out of station, visited the shop where I have purchased the sim. The person after looking at the sim told me that the problem is with the sim software and it has to be updated and told me to visit the indicom shop at besanthnagar for the same. When I visited the shop at besanthnagar I found that the document provided during the sim purchasing are not submitted and the services are stopped to my number due to this reason. Later on request I have resubmitted the document and this is the 4th day still my number is not activated. I have taken the connection to use the unlimited STD plan and because of stopping the serviced for the mistake by the retailer I am spending almost Rs.100/- to 150 per day which is a loss to me.

                      Request you to guide me how I can proceed further

                            this is devendra khubnani, an executive came from tata indicom broadband internet side, i filled an application form for internet broadband services, he has taken rs. 100 from me, at the time of installation i came to know that he has given wrong information about charges, so i stopped them from installing, then i talked to the executive he told me he was not aware of this misconduct then he told me that he is on wrong side, so i told him to refund my money, he told me he will do it with in 2 days, i called him twice after that he responded same, but did not come to refund, then i lost my mobile so his number. Its been 2 months i have not got my money back, i m sending you details.

                            Tata Indicom Broadband Connection — Dishonesty

                            I was in need of Broad band connection, so one person approached our premises to offer the best services from tata indicom he said I will have to pay 282/- insatllation charges my cheque issued on TTML is cleared from bank but so far no connection or insatllation at my place i am unable to reach the contact persons.
                            Its really disgusting that Tata Indicom is providing such a service.

                            Tata Indicom Broadband Connection — No Internet connection

                            This is to inform you that we are TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED with Tata Indicom Broadband connections. For starters, we have been coaxed to buy high value packs from quite sometime now. So, while we began with Rs 450 pack, we are now paying Rs 1600 packs. Fine.

                            But even after buying that, there’s no INTERNET connection time and again. For the last two days, we have no connection and despite a complaint (No: 7560438) and despite technicians working on it, there’s no connection once more.
                            This is SIMPLY not acceptable. Please let us know whether this trend will continue which then makes us take a decision to continue with Tata Indicom or go to some other subscriber.

                            Tata Indicom Broadband Connection — Network connection is down frequently

                            I have taken this Tata Indicom broadband connection in September 2008, thinking that it should be good, if not as good as Airtel (as i was using airtel earlier, but no network in this place). The first problem is that none of their installation guys know how to connect a wireless router, if you already have. As i have a laptop, i thought o[censored]sing it anywhere in my house rather than fixing it at one place to get the cabled connection. I said, ok let me try that way. Now, the real problem started. Almost every alternate day, the internet doesn't work. Then i have to call the customer service to rectify the problem. The first few solution they suggest is like disconnect the cables from setup box, switch off the setup box, or something else. I can't believe that its how the troubleshooting is done in this internet service. If even after doing these silly things it doesn't work then they change some settings, and by god's grace somehow it starts working. By this time already half an hour is over on the phone, and I have paid 30 rupees for this troubleshooting. So, you can see that every alternate day if i keep on calling them I'll be spending another 400-500 rupees (even after paying 750 for this connection). If i tell the customer service about it, they say why don't you get a BSNL landline then call us through our toll free number. What a great joke it is...Now This problem happens on an average every alternate days. And to my surprise every time the solutions are also the same. I can't believe that. Moreover, its giving me mental tension like anything. After doing work for the whole day at office, when i come back home, i have to call this stupid customer service to solve the internet problem. Its very very frustrating. Since i have paid advance of 4 months, so I'll continue for another 1-2 months, and then disconnect it. I'll try to get some other internet connection. I warn all you people about this service provider, before going for it...

                            Tata Indicom Broadband Connection — Refund after Cancellation

                            I availed a broadband connection from Tata Indicom in Aug, 2008 by opting for an option of paying 3 months rental in advance where in the installation fee is waived off. However due to poor connectivity I placed a cancellation request after 3 days of activation. During this process I was told that it would take 60 days to deactivate the connection and another 60 days to process the balance payment. It's been more than 4 months now and I haven't received the balance amount yet. When I called up the customer care and registered a complaint, I got a reply saying that it would take another 60 days to refund the balance amount. Clearly the ISP is taking the customers for a ride. Why would they need 120 days to refund the balance amount?

                            Is there any consumer grievance cell in TRAI, where in I can formally register a complaint against the ISP?

                            my bill of internet broad band is coming above rental charges ie 200 and coming 875 so i request u to cancel this internet and i will not pay this bill any way

                            TATA Indicom Broadband Connection — INTERNET IS NOT AT ALL CONNECTING FROM 18.00 HOURS TO 7.00 AM IN THE MORNING

                            I am you valued customer of Tata Indicom Broad Band for the last 8 years but recently I am not happy with your service which please and I would like to complaint about your service as under.

                            I am extremely sorry to inform you that my Tata indicom broad brand internet connection is not at all working from the night 18.00 hours to 7.00 a.m. in the morning for the last one month. Even though lot of complaints have been made over the phone and the technician also come in the morning and has seen it.

                            I am very much unhappy to use your TATA Indicom Broad Brand Internet connection and feel like switching off to some other broadband connection.

                            I request you to rectify the problem immediately and see that we get uninterupted internet connection from 18.00 in the night till 7.00 a.m. in the morning otherwise you will loose the valuable customer like me which please note.

                            I've lost my internet data card & also request for the disconnection long time back on mail and talk on the phone several times, but i still get the bill. it's almost 4 months and i just found out that they are still dispatching the bill. I don't know what is wrong with their customer service. I really don't have time to go down to their office and talk to them personally. Now i got a call from somewhere telling me that they are filling a case against me, which sounds very disturbing and disgusting to me. Please help me get rid of this.

Neither they have given me SR while giving complain nor they have given me DTC which I am liable to get from you by default. I was unable to use net connection for almost 15 days. Therefore I request the concern authorities to look into the matter and do the needful at the earliest as my validty time is approaching somewhere 2nd of sept. 2011.

                            Tata Indicom Broadband Connection — Tata Indicom Broadband connection failure

                            Hello,

                            This is biggest frustration for me to write this. I am totally disappointed from the service i got from Tata Indicom Broadband. Your customer service executive are not able to communicate & resolve the problems. No senior support even if i asked many times to escalate problem to senior executive. I would like to close this service as i did not get connection even if i had made a payment 6 days before. I am facing so much problem due to the Internet connection. I already called many times a day to your customer executive but they are giving me same answer that "We have written the your complaint & you will get Internet connection withing next 1 hour". This is response i am getting from you from last 6 days. I don't know how you guys calculate your 1 hr. Is your 1 hr means == 4-5 days ? Today morning i asked to pay bill again. I dont know why you are asking to pay bill again as i already paid & i have an SMS confirmation for my paid bill. I am getting in loss from last 5-6 days as my work is totally dependent on Internet.

                              i am regular customer of TTML. i stay in mumbai my phone no. is[protected], recently my phone is not working properly i complaint to the customer care service to replace my battery and they say come to our office and change the battery. when i purchase the phone and if any complaint regarding the phone they come to our place and rectify our complaint and now they say come and change the battery. that's why i am not satisfy with the company.
                              if anybody means company's big boss read this complaint please solve my problem coz i do;t have time to go to office of the company

                              It is really disappointing to see the way TATA INDICOM ( TATA Teleservices Maharashtra ) handles all its business prospects. We have applied for a PRI connection on the 2nd of December 2009 only to find out that there is a bureaucratic approach to the public listed entity.

                              We were all excited to get this connection and make a switch from Airtel our existing vendor for last 2 years who has not been upto the mark in terms of the service quality but atleast stood by all its commitment. Please see the list of events to find out the actual turn around time for TATA INDICOM to install a PRI connection.

                              November14th:

                              Meeting with TATA INdicom Sales executive and the proposal was sent

                              November 24th:

                              Conclusion of of product and price as per the offer given by the sales team.

                              December 2nd:

                              A final application was taken with all the required documents.

                              December 4th

                              More documents were collected which was later informed as a new edition and the final submission was done.

                              December 7th

                              On follow up with the sales team we found that the application has been logged and we shall be getting the connection by the end of week. After this conversation we have not been in able to get in touch with either the sales executive or manager on phone. We have been told that they have been in training all through out.

                              December 11th

                              We were told that some issue with the permission of premises has occurred which has been sorted out but when we called the society management we were told that no one has ever visited them.

                              December 14th

                              A verification call has been made by TATA and he tells me that it would be another 4-5 days if things go right. Also to our surprise we were asked for more documents which were furnished to their request.

                              December 15th

                              We are still waiting for the update on the connection as the sales team has stopped responding to our calls.

                              We have come to a conclusion that we were doing a switch because we wanted to upgrade to a better service but if the application is such a painful process than we can understand how things are looking going ahead. We would like to continue with our existing vendor and not pursue this engagement any further. We would appreciate if some action is taken so that no other customer goes through the same.

                                I have applied for a tata indicom sim, which was allotted on 30/6/2009, no is [protected]

                                I purchase the handset on 12/7/2009 & insert the sim for the first time on 13/7/2009.

                                On THE FIRST DAY ON 13/7/2009 I have received a call from Bombay that your bill amt is 1700.

                                How can this possible?

                                In fact on 13/7/2009 I have received a welcome call on my personal no [protected].

                                TODAY IT IS 2500 OUTSTANDING, IT INCREASED FROM 1500 TO 2500 DAY BY DAY INSPITE OF OUTGOING CLOSED.
                                NODAL OFFICER TELLS ME THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY THE AMOUNT.
                                THEY PRESSURIZE ME TO PAY THE AMOUNT.

                                  Myself Rajesh Kumar, is having a TATA Indicom post paid mobile connection since Sep'2008. At the time of connection purchase, all the relavant documents were submitted to the channel partner of Tata Indicom in bahadurgarh i.e. "GURUNANAK COMMUNICATION". After that I had to collect my very first bill from "G.C" personally becuase I received a call from TATA on my altenate number regarding my absence from the billing address. Then, after bill receipt, I came to know that their was an typographical error by the person who made entries as he eneterd H.No. 206 instead of 209. On the spot, I personally asked "G.C" to correct this mistake, but in vein. The same problem appeared again & this time our outgoings were barred by TATA because of non-payment on time. Again we requested "G.C" representatives to look into the matter seriously, but all in vein. The all things remained same for the next 4 months & every time TATA Indicom was barring our outgoings & we were requesting "G.C" to put the things in corrected manner. Moreover, we had to collect our bill personally from "G.C". Well, the next thing was that, we shifted to the other house in the same area in April'2009 & again we submitted the new address proof to "G.C" by hand & also one scanned copy of the same was sent to them by e-mail requesting for address change, but the things are still as it is. Even with my regular e-mails & follow up with "gurunanak communications", every thing is unturned except a increased level of mental torture to us day by day. Our H.No. is still 206 & every time, our outgoings are getting barred & every time TATA INDICOM is charging late fees from us. Really, now, we have tired of all this. Sometimes, we are feeling that, if this is is the customer service level of such a big player like TATA, then what we can expect from others in INDIA. By getting such ill-treatments in 21st century, it seems that we are living in 1960's INDIA. Well, now, I have no hope left from TATA INDICOM, as the same request was also submitted online under reference #[protected] dated 20.06.09, but till date, I have not received either any e-mail or call from TATA INDICOM customer services. Presently, the "GURUNANAK COMMUNICATIONS" has stopped to pick our phone calls & even they are not replying my e-mails properly.                                     We are using TATA Indicom USB data card for our Internet day today use since 1 year.
                                    But since last two days, while we are going to connect It, there is message of " Error 691 regrading Username and Password." I clear that we have not changed username or Password for the same.
                                    So kindly guide in this matter to solve this issue and we can work smoothly.

                                    Tata Indicom USB Data Card — Excessive Billing problem and slow Data speed

                                    I am very unsatisfied by the billing and data receiving speed. I have used 1308 min from 08/11/2007 to 20/11/2007 as per the billing date. The bill received by me shows 3377 min, which is far beyond my computer’s calculation. It is very unfortunate that I have good faith towards a world class Brand “TATA”, is using such practices to make profits. The services while I went to the Civil Lines office were so poor that none were able to solve my problems. The Speed that I was promised is already a big failure and it is some times so slow that even a normal web page fails to open. I was a big fool to invest heavy money for the USB device as well a high rental with a bonus ‘wrong billing’. Choose to go to Internet Café, but don’t be a fool to choose ‘The TATA Indicom’.

                                    Yes, you are right. I am also using the Tata Indicom data card. Even after the use of "Speed" softwere I am unable to open the normal web page.

                                    I have been cheated by them in landline connection too. I was purchased a Tata Indicom prepaid telephone in Kolkata around 4 years back, subesequently I left the Kolkata and returned the equipment to the Tata Indicom Ofiice. I was given assurance that my sequrity deposit Rs. 1000 will be refunded to me within 30 days. But almost 4 years passed but no response from Ttata Indicom. They are even not responding to the consumer complains and they are not providing any number for dicussion.

                                      I have purchased a tata indicom corporate postpaid connection for plan of 450/- monthly on 21st July, 2009. The day I purchased the set and took the connection it was never been activated.
                                      And 22nd I have raised the first complaint that my number has not been activated and when I got incoming call it’s showing incorrect number. Next day I had words with customer care and they suggested that you have to wait for 3 days than I wait next 3 days and than it was activated, next day my outgoing was disconnected when I talk to your customer care executive. They told me that your outstanding amount is exceeded by Rs. 1000/- and it was shocking that without using for more than 2 days my bill was exceeded by 1000/- than I talk to supervisor they told that your phone has been cloned by some other user but you have to pay 1000/- Rs than and only we can activate the number. It was really confusing that why should I pay 1000/- bugs for service which I had never used and I made all the calls to tata indicom number so there is no logic behind to exceed the outstanding bill. It’s more than 7 days continuously talking to different supervisor and they suggested that I have to pay the whole amount. Now technical team has not resolved the issue (complaint[protected] and last date was committed by tata indicom supervisor was 9.00pm 01st August, 2009 and again they said that technical team couldn’t find out the cloning amount on my number so they need one more week. Because they can’t check the amount in their system which will generated after one week and they have said that I have to pay whole amount including the cloning amount than and only this number can be activated within second otherwise I have to wait for whole month to resolve this issue.

                                      And i asked them to disconnect the service again they told that you atleast have to wait for next week, please either disconnect my number or activate it soon, at least I can expect a little bit things from tata indicom officer.

                                      I wish to inform you that I have made a request for cancellation of my Postpaid connection ( Account Number:[protected]
                                      on 03-Aug-2009 ( Reference Number :[protected]. But still this request has not been processed.

                                      I have again called the customercare today (10-Aug-2009) and enquired about my previous request (Transaction Reference Number :[protected].
                                      They responded that it will be done tomorrow (11-Aug-2009).

                                      Hence, I request you to terminate my connection with effect from 03-Aug-2009 by adjusting against my advance deposit of Rs. 500 with you.

                                      today on monday Mr.Vishal called me and asked me to send the voter id again which i have sended u priveiously.i have sended it again.
                                      what all is going on in ur department.no coordination is there, no comittment is there.
                                      they havent started my no.now i have given them the total amount of Rs.-600+40=640.which they will adjust in the bill. as there comittment.
                                      40 RS IS FOR THE SCANNING which is due to ur carelessnes of there executives.coz.i have asked to there executive kamal that plz take all the required doccument from me but he havent taken therefor the fault is of department
                                      NOW THEY HAVNT STARTED THE CONNECTION NOR THEY DEDUCT THE 40 RS/- FROM BILL IN FUTURE.

                                        Even after submission of valid documents for my residence, employment details twice my connection was revoked.The saddest part of the whole scenario is that I am also working with TATA group company Tata Consultancy Services.I provided them with the bonfide issued by my HR with all the details.If group company without any reason disconnects line and say your documents are not valid whats next to do.Even i submitted my company identity card.
                                        Being a TATA employee cant we expect little help from our same group, and if the TATA teleservices (TATA Indicom) does not accept bonafide letters from group companies then why they have kept an option as bonafide letters for Tata Indicom Connection.
