Sir,

I applied for a "Photon+2GB ARP with free Device" along with "Night Surf 10 GB Add on Pack" with full payment of Rs. 10,027 in cash through B S COMMUNICATIONS, R G B Road, Guwahati on 19/11/09. The connection was assured to me by the evening of 20/11/09. Address verification has already been completed.
After handing over a Device to me I was advised to wait till the evening of 20/11/09. In the evening, I was informed over phone that there was a mistake on your side and some TataIndiCom officer will come explain to me at my address. I was again informed that I had been given a wrong Device.
Till now, nobody contacted me. B S COMMUNICATIONS is not able to give any logical reply. I found nobody and no other way to lodge my complaint. My Device is not yet activated nor replaced.
So, I hereby lodged my complaint before you for and urgent action on the matter. If the Connection applied for is not possible, I demand an immediate full refund.

I have problem in Tata Indicom Photon+ data card is "Device is not found"
and when I reinstall software also not found data card,

Device port I was checked but there are not found as modem as well as port

    Tata Indicom Prepaid — duped by fake sms from tata

    my no is [protected].on 31/12/2008 at16.44pm got sms from tata urgent that i had won 5000 pounds . to claim prizei had to call [protected]. i did so promptly at16.50pm.a isd call of 09.29 mins made me realise that i was duped as the no, verification no all were not there as per their demand. top it with costumer care hanging my call when i tried to complain. sms had no number it was just from urgent same that tells u that your no has been recharged, hence it was tata duping me

    TATA Indicom — Duping the customers

    Sir/Madam,
    I am paying Tata Indicom for High Speed Internet Acess (Photon) unlimited scheme i.e, Rs. 1655 per month (including taxes). I am assigned the no. [protected]. I was promised that I will be getting a download speed of 3.1 Mbps. But unfortunately the download speed is Max 40Kbps and the average is 20 KBPS while much of the time the download speed is 10 bits per second. After repeated request also they have not done anything. Now I am trapped since I bought the modem with Rs.3500/- and if I surrender the service then my Rs.3500/- (modem price) will go in vain.
    So sir/madam, I request you kindly to look into the matter and do the needfull.

    Even I also got the legal notice even though I paid all my dues. Even after they have taken the equipments from my home, I got the bill for next two months. After calling and mailing 100 times to their customer care, at last they sent mail saying that no amount is due on my account, but after one year I got the legal notice.
    The reason for me for disconnecting the Tata Indicom was wrong billing. They were charging for the calls which I have not made. Tata Indicome is worst telecom service in the world.

    TATA INDICOM PHONE — billing

    Sir i have atata indicom phon[protected] .I withdrawal STD facility since March 2010. company raised the bill of RS. 170/- in the month of Aplril 2010 towards STD. On making a call on 121 co. had written off this amount. Again in May 2010 bill co. had mentioned Rs. 310/- towards STD calls. I gain complaint on 121, but your representative is saying that you had make the call with 95. as the 95 facility is withdral by march2010.Is this the reputation of TATA Indicom? There representative are so dummy that they dont know what they are saying.
    When STD facility already withdrawn how it is possible to make STD call on a single no.so plece help me.

      Hi,

      On 6th October I applied for tata indicom broadband connection.The sales executive told me that right now (that time) a scheme is going on in which If I pay bill of 6 months in advance then I'll be getting a wifi router free of cost.So,I applied for the connection under that scheme and he told me that you will get the router within 30 days.If possible I'll try to get a router within 4-5 days.Ok then I tried calling him but very soon he started avoiding my calls and many times he said that sir defnintely you will receive the router within 24 hrs within 72 hrs like this and then when I enquired at customer care through mail they said that I'll be receving the router within 10days of complaint.This I did after the 30days were over.But then again when I felt that again nothing is happening I wrote another mail after that I got a call from their side that my file/connection has not been enrolled under that scheme.Meanwhile during these 10 days I got call from their hyderabad office confirming that I'll receiver the router within 7 days of this call.Another call I got from their local office in Pune and they also said the same.But now today I got call and they said that I'll not be getting any router.I just want to know what the hell is this is this the value that they give to their customer.I have wasted my 1 and half month waiting for the router that also after paying some 11k in advance for 6 months.

      Could you guide me as what can be done in this case.I want to approach consumer court and I want compensation for the loss of my money and also for the inconvenience caused to me.Hope you can help me out in this matter.

          I purchased a Tata Indicom Plug 2 Surf Whiz including T-sim at Tata Tele Services LTD, 14 Manchester Square, 2nd Floor, Puliakulam Road, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641037 on 08.01.2009 for Rs.2350, Tata Indicom No. [protected], Account No.[protected], under unlimited plan 1099, activated on 10.01.2009.

          I was enticed by the words of a Tata Indicom executive, Mr. Ganesh (Cell No. [protected]), that they are the No. 1 wireless Internet service providers and they provide high speed data transfer than any others in this business. He even came to my home before purchasing the device to check if it worked in my locality. He checked with a device, which he usually uses to demonstrate to the customers, in my desktop computer and it seemed to work though not well. He said that being daytime it is usual to get low speed because of multiple users, but it may differ during the nighttime.

          I am a professional medical transcriptionist and I work from home mostly in the nighttime. I purchased this device thinking that it would be useful for me as most of my work depends on Internet connection. The company has clearly mentioned that they provide a bandwidth speed of 153.6 kbps, which should give a download speed of 19.2 KB/s. But, to my surprise the very first day I started using it, I got only a bandwidth speed of about 16-32 kbps, which gave a download speed of about 2-4 KB/s. I was not even able to log in to the software that I use for my work, which requires Internet connection, due to poor connectivity.

          When I purchased the device, I was told by the executive to contact him for any issues regarding the device or the connectivity, so I called him and informed him of the poor connectivity. He told me that he will inform the concerned person and address it ASAP, but the problem was never addressed. I kept on calling him daily regarding the poor connectivity and got the same answer. After 3-4 days, he finally stopped attending my calls, so I lodged a complaint online in the Tata Indicom Broadband Website regarding the poor connectivity, complaint number 43593. I hoped to get a solution, but didn't get any. I tried using my device in two different localities at various times during the day as well as night to check the connectivity, but still the speed was same and got disconnected frequently. All my attempts to get the device work proved to be in vain. After doing a lot of research online in the consumer forums and hearing from few others' own experiences, I came to know that I have been fooled by the enticing words of the sales executive and false promises of the company. I even visited another Tata Indicom showroom located in Trichy Road to inquire about the details of the device as if I were interested in purchasing a new one, hiding the fact I already own one. An executive there suggested that wireless modems are advisable only for laptops and not for desktops, which Mr. Ganesh didn’t tell me even when he was in my home checking it with my desktop computer. Again, the company has mentioned that the device can be used for desktop PC, a false promise made by the company. Even experts said that it is not advisable for desktop PC.

          My first month's bill was only Rs.279 as the device was activated on 10.01.2009, the last week of their billing cycle. Their billing cycle was 16th of every month. Due date on my first bill was 05.02.2009. Realizing that I have been cheated, I didn't pay the first month's bill. They disconnected my Internet connection on 06.02.2009 as I didn't pay the bill, but they kept on sending me bills for the subsequent two more months, making up a total of Rs.2434. It was mentioned in the last bill that the services was suspended on 09.03.2009, but I got a call on 06.02.2009 from them and they told that they have deactivated my connection and it will be activated only if I pay the bill amount. I even crosschecked on that day and found it was deactivated. I have just used the device merely 6-7 days and all these times just trying to using it, but didn't actually use it. The amount which I paid for buying the device, Rs.2350, is a total loss for me. Tata Indicom personnel kept on harassing through phone to pay the bill. They started sending recovery agents to my home, who asked me to surrender the device and pay the bill amount. When I asked them will they refund my money if I surrender the device, they told they will not. I don't understand why they are asking me to surrender the device, which I paid for. They didn't give me the device for free. They kept on harrassing me through phone and recovery agents using harsh words, which caused mental agony to me and my family. I received notice twice from an agency, A&A Associates, No. 1603 Opp St. Francis School, Trichy Road, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641018, dated 14.09.2009 and 08.10.2009 threatening me to pay the bill or they will sue me.

          Recently, I received a summon from Lok Adalat asking me to appear on 20.11.2009. Tata Tele Services LTD, No.2,3,&4 Thiru Vika Road, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600014, has filed the suit against me.

          Tata Indicom has made false promises, got my hard earned money, provided poor services, harassed me often and now they are suing me.

          Is this one of the ways to become crorepathi?

            I already have a USB modem (from Tata Indicom) which was purchased by my brother along with a post-paid sim card for Internet access. The sim card was surrendered by him as he no longer needed the connection.

            Now, I have the USB and I am planning to purchase a post-paid SIM card in Pune for internet access. But the company representative is insisting on buying a new USB modem again as it has been decided by the company management that not to give post-paid card without USB modem.

            Now, why should I purchase a USB modem when I already have one which was earlier purchased from Tata Indicom?

            I think Tata Indicom is trying to setup means of earning money in such a way.

              I've launched many complaint on tata indicom service center. They did not respond me properly. My issue is i have withdraw my postpaid service to prepaid service. When i withdraw my service i asked to refund my security amount.

              As per the rule security deposit by me is refund to me but they had not paid till date after the completion of the 5 month.

              They said that amount is sent by cheque. but till date i donot receive any cheque.

              Senior office of tata indicom not give any response. every time my request is closed by them.

              Please help me ... to get my security amount.

                I am using TATA Indicom Broadband 256 kbps unlimited pre-paid connection. Since last 3 months, the connection constantly gets disconnected every 5 minutes. There is also a regular deliberate disconnection of services on Friday after which there are obviously no repair services on the weekends. This gives them 3 days of downtime every 2-3 weeks. Even to interrupt downloads, the link is disconnected and reconnected to interrupt the connection in case the customer is away from keyboard so that bytes cannot be consumed continuously. When called on the customer care line, they charge STD call charges on the toll free number and reconnect you to a number of departments and keep you on hold saying their system is slow. customer care BPO officials have no worry about the company and just tell you terminate the account if dissatisfied. They also tell you to log on to the internet and do so , since that is their system. There is no money back. This is their method of taking large sums of money on pre-paid and even post - paid plans and then giving very bad services to customers, inevitably causing them to terminate their connection after a few months of frustration. To appeal to them they will give 1-2 days of smooth flow and then again start harassment after 3-4 days.

                I have tata broadband wimax connection. It has been 1 year to use internet connection from Tata. I am facing the same problem of losing the connection frequently since I have this connection. I have registered my complains many times. Each time they were calling me and asking me to change the cable and IP and all such nonsense time pass but even doing all this exercise I am not getting any help. They are not sending any technical person to fix the problem. Since a week if I am calling to their customer care to explain my problem they are not even registering my complain and putting off the phone. What a shameless people are in customer-care! Please judge your salary with your work and take your job seriously.

                If you are a TATA Broadband Manager or Executive please note this thing - your customer care is worst and you must have to improve it other wise you will loos your customer for sure.

                  i bought a sim of tata indicom worth 100 rupees more than 1 month before from a retailer shop here in Leela Ram Market,South Extension,Part 2..New Delhi-49....they have not yet activated my sim despite i submitted my documents twice n running to their shop every third or fourth day,...please solve my problem...i am pissed off!!

                  TATA Indicom Sim — service related problem

                  sir,
                  i purchased a sim in august,09 and the services to this sim has been disconnected thrice from the time it has been purchased. this connection was taken on my fathers id and the id proof has been sent before in both hard and soft copies still it gives the customer care gives the same excuse of not have received the documentary proof.

                  TATA Indicom — Sim not activated

                  I got a call from TATA Indicom to convert my prepaid to postpaid. I agreed on that and a person came to my house and take Rs.600/- and give me a sim card and told me that it will be activated by the evening. Its been 5 days and it did not get activated. I called up TATA Indicom and they are not replying properly. They dont know how to speak. They misbehaive with me and diconnect the phone.

                  Please help me.

                    so I applied for the same number in the nearby tata indicom store .So, as this is the case can i get backup of my contacts through the new sim card . Is there any possible way of getting my contacts list at any cost.

                        Hi ,

                        I have a new Tata indicom connection, Infinity 384 plan, which is just one week old. When I bought this connection, the sales person (name is Aditya) didn`t inform me about this connection being a prepaid connection. Thats not all, after 4412 rs. for 4 month, Indicom can`t provide me with a service that is continous, leave aside the performance of the connection. I have a PPPoe connection, and the connection drops every few hours, forcing me to dial-in again using my login credentials.

                        When I raised a ticket, I received a call from a Field engineer from Indicom (name is Vitthal Shinde), and he said that I need to buy a Static IP and pay 2000 rs a year, to bypass the login page. Same day, I called Indicom customer care again, and the executive then told me that this issue can be resolved by making some changes in the router. Next day, Vitthal shinde shows up at 1.30 pm, when he was supposed to come at 11.30 am, and again repeated the same statement that I need to buy a static IP address, just to bypass the login page and to have a continous session with Tata indicom server. It took him 1 hour to understand the issue and even then he couldn`t understand that I don`t have a problem with Web dialer and login page, all I want is a continous connection with the ISP server.

                        Indicom has provided me with 3 different ticket no., everytime i go to them asking updates about this issue. [protected], 11121374,[protected]. My problem is still persisting but I am getting mails from indicom saying that my issue has been resolved, thanks for your feedback. Also, someone called Mr. Babji calls me everyday, for this problem and everyday he asks me to buy a static IP address.

                        They are almost forcing me to buy a static IP address for Rs. 2000 per year.

                        They said that they are monitoring my connection, so I have reported thrice that my connection was dropped at so-so time and date, but still I don`t know what is their findings, and what they are doing to resolve this problem of mine. I have escalated this to the Indicom`s Nodal officer as well, but no action taken from their side as well.

                        Is this too much I am asking for ?

                        A continuous connection, so that I could work from home and download stuff from internet.

                        I have suffered enough due to unskilled, ruthless staff of Indicom.

                        Please help me out on this issue.

                            Hello,

                            Since 1 year I was using TATA indicom broadband connection for my laptop. One day when I was working with my laptop with the internet connection suddenly fire occurred near LAN port and the whole mother board got burnt.

                            When I consulted HP service center they have explained that high power has been supplied from the LAN port, since the whole mother board got burnt and there is no chances of getting repaired with the laptop

                            Then I took my laptop to the TATA Indicom broadband office Bangalore to compensate my losses. Technician has not accepted that the mistake has happened because of their equipments, and they have blamed KEB for power fluctuation mistake. Technician also told us that in a POE box there will be power controller.

                            Now my question is:
                            1) If TATA indicom broadband POE box is having power controller then why it has not controlled the high power?
                            2) If the case happened because of the KEB power fluctuation then why our TV and rerigerator didn't get burnt even though they were on?

                            We really really had very bad experience and losses by TATA indicom broadband services.

                            TATA INDICOM BROADBAND SERVICES — Compensation for Non use of Internet Services

                            On 8th of July 2009 due to the rain water coming from the internal insulation of the cable provided by the company of my broadband connection my Personal Computer's Motherboard was damaged. But due to the warranty terms and conditions I was fortunate enough to got a free repair of my motherboard and it was repaired and delivered back to me on 25th of August. As I had a perpaid Internet Package of three months(User ID [protected]@vsnl.net) which was renewed on the month of 10th June 2009 I was unable to use my package for almost two months. But on 27th of August 2009 when I was contact them to get extension of my package's expiration date as the problem I faced due to the lack of their negligency, they just denying for any kind of compensation. Whereas their service enginer verified the exact situation and accepted that they forgot to make necessary arrangements to stop rain water comming to my PC through the internal insulation of the cable on 9th of July. I therefore request you to plese help me on this regard.

                              I had read somewhere that the customer relation management can turn even an average product to highly sought after & profitable in the market...
                              But recently what I experienced was exectly the opposite.

                              I have always been a loyal customer of Tata company , hence there was no other product in mind when I wanted to take a wireless internet connection.The executives were prompt enough to come to my campus to explain the offers available. I had to leave Pune on 14th of Oct and hence I wanted the connection before 14th. This was the only commitment I wanted from them. They prominsed me that I will get the connection in 3 working days.I submitted the necessary documentse fee of Rs. 3009/- on 8th of Oct 2009.
                              However Tata Indicom failed to provide the connection on time. When I called them on 13th they promised that I will receive the same by 13th evening and I did not get it till 14th. Frantically I kept on calling them on 14th as I had my train departure from Pune on 14th at 1600 hrs.
                              The Sales executive , Mr. Ajay ( [protected]) & his senior Mr. Abhijit ( [protected]) simply refused to answer any of my calls. I had made not less that 50 calls to both of them & finally when they picked & answered they promised that I will be receiving the device in half an hour & before 1200hrs. as the delivery is on the way. I kept on waiting till1530 hrs & finally somehow when I got the no. of the person who was suppose to deliver the device & when I called him he said he is busy in a meeting & disconnected my call. I almost missed my train because if their unprofessional behaviour.

                              Later that evening when I again called them they promised to send that to me by courier , which was again a false promise.I again called them to send the same to my friend, which was again not delivered.

                              Later I almost gave up & again on reaching back to Pune on 24th Oct when I called them and asked for an explanation & to cancel the order, Mr. Abhijit & Mr. Ajay were kind enough to cancel it even without giving any apology. They never have the courtsey to call back the customers.

                              If only cancellation was aslo so easy. Its till date that I am following them but I never get a proper response. Today when I called them again ,they just informed me after some 20 days later that it is going to take another 25 days to send me back my cheque.....

                              What kind of customer service is this????
                              Are they trained to mentally harass customers ??
                              Whom do I approach?

                              Coudn't have been a better way to drive customers away.

                                Tata Indicom Broadband promises everything and do not deliver anything.
                                1. They promised 24/7 service. The server was down for atleast 5 working days in a month.
                                2. The plan signed up was for 2000 Rs - They sent a bill for 19,50,000 Rs (have email proof) and as a correction clained 6000+ Rs
                                3. Before the billing date (Nov 5th), they inactivated the account for no reason and did not bother to inform the customer

                                How are we suppose to trust them and continue to use Broadband service? Need assistance.
                                It is quite sad to share that company like tataindicom gives pathetic services & level of commitment is zero.There is no value calling customer service number[protected] for any kind of inconvenience, because the client problem is not at all heard.People handling TL profile like Mr Irshad have no value of commitment finally resulting in loss of our business since the day same broadband connection has been activated. The worst deal is that they don't even log a complaint and in three days 23 m, 24, 25 and 27 i have not been given a complaint number only been promised that the engineer will visit till the evening

                                I called on 23rd Jan at your customer service 10:05 pm but nobody taken my request to lodge the complaint.I called on 24th Jan & had word with Mr Irshad who has given commitment executive will visit within 24 hours time.But nobody visited yet.Still nobody ready to give commitment when your executive going to visit to resolve our broadband problem

                                we had chosen TATA over Airtel Broadband but did not know that your orgranisation is so unprofessional and under efficient. if you can kindly suggest why we should be paying the bill in case you want to give us this kind of services.Who is the responsible person in tataindicom who can take initiative to resolve this issue so that we can run our business smoothly. as you will not only loose a customer but we will also go in the media and write about your high commitments but EXTREEMLY POOR Technical quality and customer service team. the management in TATA Broadband has to take responsibility as we are not going to deal with a bunch of distrustful service team which is only defaulting in their wrok and effecting your REPUTATION. with a CEO as Mr. Tata the team with this ineficient nature is a curse to the company.

                                We have called today at your customer service to enquire as nobody visited yet.Had word with Ms Pamela(TL) & she has commited somebody will visit by today evening before 5:30 pm.

                                BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOBODY VISITED OR CALLED YET TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE PENDING SINCE 23RD JAN 2012.

                                  iam the customer for tata indicom since 412 years,last month without any information some amount was cut from account for caller tune, actually iam not activate any caller tune but they(call center persons) tell to me thats activated by me.one of my friend also face the same problem.recently these type of problems are incresed in telecom network mostly in reliance now in our tata indicom.for this customer got dissatisfied about thier network(indicom). so dont try to blame the customers, they(management of indicom)think that once customer use the number they cant change it.thats the main reason for this type of inconvinince to people.
                                  so pls consider my complaint.

                                    False promises, poor response to customer complaints the new Tata photon+ … sorry Tata metro+ (only for metro cities)

                                    This is regarding Tata Photon+ ( [protected]) purchased on 24/09/2009 in Bapujinagar, old bowenpally. Soon after taking the connection I haven’t realized it was only for metros because neither the agency informed me nor the customer care but everyone repeats the same stupid answer its works everywhere but the speed will be low.

                                    I am Nokia Care proprietor in Manchiral ,adilabad dist. I frequently travel from Hyderabad to Manchiral. It works fine in Hyderabad but never seen connectivity in Manchiral of course tata phone signal is full but no sign of photon+ signal.Every time I contact the customer care give me new docket number and put the phone saying I have arranged a call back to you sir.

                                    repeated settings are helpless. Clearly I asked them wheather this is only for metros they say no but why don’t I able to use internet in manchiral. I also tried in nalgonda where the tata indicom signal is excellent but my poor instrument failed to connect.


                                    The device has failed to perform as per the marketing specification given by tata and also the down time was simply unacceptable . tata indicom has failed to fix the issues even after repeated reminders and phone calls to customer care . This has been on for almost a month. So, hence my kind request is to immediately do what ever it takes to fix my problem or give me a full refund which I deserve after all this run around.

                                    Suggestion:
                                    If possible alter the name photon+ with metro+ which suits well and carry your speed but don’t carry unless it’s a metro city.
                                    After this complaint tata customer care people made a COURTESY CALL and never mind to resolve the complaint. This is ridiculous and unfair using the public money on false promises and no where caring the complaints.
                                    I bought two connections, and am unable to use them, as they never connect. I keep getting Error 678, remote computer did not respond etc etc etc... it is killing me that i paid Rs.3500 each and continue to pay Rs.750 per month... TATA is most useless GROUP. THeir buses worth 55 lacs keep catching fire... They nan of 1 one lac also catches fire... they are not able to deliver Nano on schedule as promised... they are making a fool of consumers by selling them TATA PHOTON PLUS for Rs.3500 each, even when the product is NOT WORKING!!!

                                      Sir,

                                      I was using tata indicom broadband for two years. It was a prepaid account. In June first week 2009, my line did not work. I gave complaint to customer care. They said cable has been cut & it was not feasible to repair it as there were very few customers in my area.
                                      My plan was Rs.3000 for 7.5GB for 6 months (Rs 500 per month). TATA asked me to change to WIMAX scheme of Rs.1100 per month. I said i cannot afford to spend that much & asked for the refund of balance amount in my account. At that point my account balance was Rs.2372.96.
                                      I was assured i will get a refund in 45 days and they gave the contact number of one Hemalatha for my followup.
                                      Till now nothing has happened & no one is responding.
                                      When i mailed the customer care, they say there is usage on 04/09/2009 & 05/09/2009 in the IP & there is no balance now.
                                      I have started using BSNL Broad band from August.
                                      I have attached the screenshot taken in my login which shows my account balance in JUNE 2009. Since then there in no cable link to my house.
                                      How can i use the TATA connection in september when there is no cable link forn june?

                                      Please help me to get the refund of my account balance.

                                        This is regarding to my cdma connection of tata indicom,no([protected]) I want to make a complaint that when i purchase this connection in august the dealer has given me the information that I will get 150 min free for every 4 months but i dint get it from october 09,when I called your customer care executive they were transferring my line for 4 times,girl name ranjana has told me that this scheme has been stopped then she transfered my call to amit,he give the information that it was in bundle pack and the wording was AISA HO NI SKTA K APKO FREE MIN MILE HO KYOKI SCREEN PE NAHI HAI.then I asked k hame to last 2 months mile the,then he said APSE JO HO SKTA HAI KR LO LEKIN MAIN KUCH NI KAR SAKTA.APKO JAHAN COMPLAINT DALNI HAI DALL DO TATA INDICOM ME CALL KARNE K LIYE DHANAYAWAD..
