I recently bought a TATA photon whiz..my dealer said that it is having a 1 GB storage...he said that there will a button on the modem as he said that if I press that button than i can use it as a modem..AND if i again press that button than it will work as a 1GB storage pendrive..It is not having any button on it..Please suggest me how can i use it as a 1GB storage pendrive....please reply soon...

the tata photon whiz is the worst thing i ve ever used...u wont get the rite speed...sometimes 0kbps...it disconnects a lot...nobody knows how to use the storage space...DONT BUY IT>>>>>

    Hi,

    I just took Tata Indicom Photon + card 26/10/2009. The receipt which i am supposed to get for payment of Rs 3,400? didn't got it. However I got the rest of the kit and using the net connection. While taking the connection the sales person told me that he will be giving the reebok bag as gift along with product. He also told me that I will get a Welcome Call from Tata Customer Care persons the next day and they will be informing me about my plan which never happened till today(04/nov/2009). So putting all this things into consideration I think I am going to get a big shock when I get my Bill.

      Dear Sir/Madam,
      Your agent Mr. Raj Kumar (Mobile Nos.[protected] & [protected]) approached us on 9.10.09 for giving new tata internet connection telling us lies that the internet will be connected with your present landline telephone and the internet will work in perfect order till the time the landline telephone works perfectly. Earlier we had been using sify broadband internet and it sometimes went out of order. So, we believing on his bare lies, issued him the required cheque for Rs.500/- and he connected the internet on 16.10.09. After that our predicament starts and we are fed up with your internet, as it has hardly worked for 4 or 5 days within a period of 20 days, i.e., from 16.10.09 to 4.11.09. It can be ascertained from the complaints registered with you. The agent Raj Kumar is not attending our calls, as he has told all the lies. As we are laymen, we were not aware that this has been connected with the telephone or not. Now it has been known from the person attending the complaints that this is not connected with the telephone.

      Your Engineer, Mr. Venkat (Mobile No.[protected] reported to you wrong information regarding attending the complaint No.[protected] dt. 27.10.09, stating that the complaint has been attended to in the presence of some Mr. Sandeep (name concocted by him), as there is nobody of this name in our office. This lie was revealed by your employee registering our complaint No.[protected] dt. 3.11.09. This complaint has been attended to today.

      First of all, we wish our internet connection should be connected with our present telephone, which was assured by your agent that it will not go out of order. Secondly disciplinary action should be taken against your Agent Raj Kumar and your Engineer named Mr. Venkat (mobile No.[protected], it is a wrong number given by him, when he came here for the first time. Our internet connection should work in perfect order 24 hours and if there is any complaint, the same should be attended to immediately, as ours is a Govt. of India PSU and work suffers badly in the absence of internet connection.

        First of all i need to know the actual speed you have been providing to us. Its horrible for us(customers) to go more with this device. Atleast provide me with 80kbps of speed. Or else after free usage of 2 months it will be thrown into garbage and i wont allow any of my friends to buy this. My contact No: [protected].

        hi guys,

        i have been using tata photon whiz since the last 2 months and it is working fine. my downloading is also good and so fast. at first my downloading speed was normal (around 15-20 kbps), but after my 2 month research on internet protocol speedup, my download speed goes up to above 50Kpbs. now, i am using this without any interruption.

          My Tata Photon Whiz Internet speed is very very slow. Please can you help me.

            Hi,

            I made a request to disconnect my tata photon+ service on 4th August 2009. And the connection was disconnected from 16th Aug 2009. I received the August bill on September 2nd 2009. I paid it as it was my last payment. Now I got a bill for September saying that I have to pay 3500 rs. The plan is not mentioned in the bill. My online bill payment account is terminated. Today tata indicom customer care called me and asked me to pay 3500 rs. I asked her to check their system and told her i cannot pay september bill after i disconnected the service in august and also paid august bill. Please help me in this regard.             Interestingly in the september month itemised bill, only the internet usage of july is shown. Please see the attached screenshot. The last bill paid by me and the wrong bill is shown.

            Bill for the month of Sept. 2009 not received — bill received

            I have not received my bill for the month of sept. 2009 till date and I was out of station from 30.9.2009 to 5.10.2009 during the out of station my out going call has been stoped without ant region. Now I contect custmer care on date 7.10.2009 at 1.45 p.m. but they have not give me satsfiy regsion and cut the my call.

            Tata Photon+ — Speed and Service Issue

            I have bought a TATA Photon+ broadband last month. As company is promising a highest speed of 3.1 MBPS ( That no one has got yet) , i am getting a speed of merely 100 to 300 KBPS Max. When you ask about this low speed they have their own foolish reasons , like..

            [1] Sir, It depends on the Area and distance from the tower. ( to tell you , i can clearly see 5 network bars on my TATA photon+ dialer. )

            [2] Sir, Probably you have virus in your system.

            [3] Sir, Disconnect your Modem and start your system after 10 min. ( After 10 min . you will get the same speed, and when you call to customer care again some other person will pick the phone and you have to explain him all the story from begining )

            [4] Sir, probaly its a Operating System error..



            Gone are those days when TATA known for its Trust and services.. Now i dont know after spending 3700 Rs. on Modem what should i do.. ??
            And one more thing.. You ask the conditions in which we can get the 3.1 MBPS... they have one reply.. Sorry Sir, 3.1 MBPS is not possible...

            don't go for this tata photon+, , it is worest...i am realizing y did i paid 3700, as they will commit for 3.1 MBPS, your not at all het 256 KBPS, as i stay in middle of bangalore.

            My suggestion is don't belive on this conection...
            I also have the same kind of problem, my service got activated on 16th feb, and i have received bill on 4 th march of 650/-Rs,
            It happens for 5 of our colleagues.. They actually cheat like this being a well established and big corporate telecom company. For past 5 months, they been torturing me. They use to call daily to ask for bill amount. They dont have a proper termination system and people suffer. Don't ever go to Tata photon. Thats why they have so many offers and they are in al the corporates. If you want to know about bad behaviour of tata photon, chekc with people who disconnected the service. if you want to know how bad the internet speed, ask everyone who uses it. It is like GPRS.

              TTML A/c No[protected]


              I took a Tata Photon plus connection on June 3rd 2009, on the promise of getting 10GB download per month free for the first 2 months ( as per the offer letter) . 4-5 days after my photon was activated TTML sends me a letter telling me about the plan i have, and include the information stating -

              1) the first month plan fee would be charged on a prorata basis. (misleading information, not mentioned at the time of purchase of plan)

              2) they also stated that the credit limit assigned to me was Rs.1000/-. ( they should cut-off my connection on crossing Rs.1000 above my allowance.)

              Since i have no way of accurately checking how much of download or upload i have used... i had to wait for for my bill or wait for them to inform me that i had exceeded my credit limit and was due for disconnection.

              I recieved a monthly bill of 13,848/-

              How can i recieve a bill of anything above Rs.1000 more than my prorated allowance for the remaining of the month.

              I refused to pay the outstanding amount until they rectified the situation and resent me the bill and this i intimated to them on the 20 phone conversation i have had with their untrained customer service executives.
              I have also written to the nodal officer a number of times only to have ill informed replies, but no solutions.
              i would really appreciate if you could see into this situation.
              Completely agree... Experienced the same thing. Actually thought of discontinuing their service, except that there's no other service provider in the NE. Waiting for BSNL.

                I bought the new TATA Photon Plus connection, I used hardly 30 Min. After that I was unable to connect the net, I have given multiple complaints to the company but there was no action. Every time call center person gives some time but there is no proof till now my complaint is not resolved, more over I am getting bills for the service which I was not able to use because of the network problem or configuration pro
                sir. i had recharged my tataphoton + with Rs700/- easy recharges pack which i was told an unlimited plan. but my photon not run due some problems . i complaint to the your customer care .but no body solve such type problems. 2days passed. but balance deducted.how it is possible.

                please solve my problems .immedietly.

                  I have just bought photon+ in the month of 23rd May ’2009 got activated on 24th May 2009 with 950 Tariff Plan. (i.e. I get free usage of 2 GB during Day time ( 7 am to 10.59 pm) & 10 GB during Night time (11 pm to 7 am). The service engineer came to my place and installed along with Huawei Access Manager which includes Internet Usage Meter. Other means of keeping the track of Internet Usage Meter is through official web site http://www.tataindicom.com -> My Account -> Internet Usage Meter (day-wise). The third way is calling up Customer service to know the current usage meter. Assuring the best service will be provided by Tata Indicom. The billing period is from 5th May to 4th June of the month.

                  The first couple of bills found that they have been charged me more than what I have used. When I complained to concern department, they where very harsh and convinced me that is the final bill amount and have to pay immediately. They where very aggressive with their statement & finally I have to pay more.

                  Doing little bit of R&D in my system, I found that there is log file maintained by their software (Huawei Access Manager) which has complete details of date, starting time, ending time duration, upload & download usage units etc. I then imported this file into Excel file to do analysis on it. When I compared with the detail bill given by them and found lots of discrepancies in their figures.

                  I started marinating 3 different day-wise usage meter. First one is from the Usage Meter available in my system which was generated Huawei Access Manager. Second one is from their web-site http://www.tataindicom.com (day-wise Usage Meter) and the Third one is the figures from the Customer Service, Billing dept.

                  During fourth month (5th Aug – 5th Sep) the 3 different day-wise usage meter was maintained as mentioned above, along with the screen shots of web Usage Meter taken frequently.
                  This time I received the shocking bill on 7th with the bill amount of Rs. 9743/- instead of Rs. 1048/-. I took the item-wise details bill and compared it with other 3 figures; amazingly I found the following discrepancies in the bill.
                  a. The bill has supposed to be starting from 5th of Aug, they have bill from 23rd July, 13 days extra.
                  b. Huge difference in no o[censored]nits in the bill compared with all 3 above mentioned analysis report.
                  c. They have billed for the days which I haven’t used & some of the days which I haven’t event switched on my system.
                  d. I took the figures of 13 extra days (27th Jul to 4th Aug) & compared with the last months item-wise bill which was send by them. To my amazing discovery I found that they where not similar figures. Huge difference in the figures.

                  Similar discrepancies where found in my previous Bills also

                  The above discrepancies prove that they are charging extra money all these days for which is not been used by me.
                  Secondly the internet meter which they are using is unauthenticated.
                  They where cheating me all these months.

                  Despite contacting the head office too, and giving a request. NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN BY THE COMPANY.

                  To all Photon Plus users: Do similiar Analysis which I have done. You can also find lots of discrepancies in your bill too. STOP paying excess amount.

                  TATA INDICOM PHOTON+ — Cheating in Service

                  I have purchased new Tata Indicom Photon+ BB service (950Plan) on 2nd June. I am eligible to use free 2GB download during day time & 10GB free download during night time. Within first 5 days of service, my connection barred, saying that I have exceeded the my credit limit. My credit limit is 1500 INR. As they are claiming, I didn't receive any SMS alert or mail to inform the usage limit. But I have received bill on 22nd June for 5215 Rupees. The disconnected period is 8th June to 19th June. That means the BB service is active only from 2nd June to 7th June (6 Days). I can realise that they have not calculated my free downloadable size. Its like cheating in their service. No use of calling customer care service, as they are keep on forwarding the calls to different department/people -- hide and seek game. Junk service and support. In Tata Indicom's my account page, there is no day wise usage detail from 2nd June to 6th June. But for June 7th, they mentioned 3GB usage, which I have not used on that day!! I believe that 3GB is from 2nd June to 7th June ( for 6days), not for only 7th June!!! Don't know who will help me to resolve this issue.

                  photon+ (TATA INDICOM) — CHEATING

                  On purchasing this product (photon+ no.[protected]), the agent (Mr.DAMAN ,a turban boy from NEW FREINDS OFFICE OF TATA INDICOM), made these following promises to me:

                  1.Surfing or browsing is Unlimited.
                  2. U can convert this no. into SIM card.
                  3. U can Deactivated the services when u want, BUT HE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT REACTIVATION CHARGES OF Rs. 500/- FOR PUCHASING NEW NO. AGAIN.

                  Now i want my money back becoz after using the product, all 3 contents found wrong by me. I DUPED BY TATA INDICOM .They are not giving my money back i.e.Rs.3600/-.

                  TATA Indicom — Unnecessarily charging my account though i have not using their services past 7 months

                  My Tata Indicom Service No is [protected], I have not used their service for 7 months and they have been charging my account with dues. I moved to USA and before moving I cleared all the dues and asked the collection executive to cancel my account, which he assured he will but that never happened.....after 2 months a new bill was generated with late fees added to it. Then they started harrasing my parents if you will not clear the dues this and that will happen.....so inorder to avoid that my father again paid the dues and like before he was assured this time too that the a/c will be closed.....but that never happened...again they sent a bill with dues........I have paid 4000/- for not using their service at all. If any one will look into the record they will find that I never used their service for more than 7 months and have been paying the dues...I would sincerely request the consumer rights forum to look into this matter and help me getting back the dues which I paid for no service used and also the harrasement thses customer executive do when they called my parents.

                  TATA INDICOM PHOTON+ — Improper Service

                  Dear Sir/Madam,
                  I’m writing this last email to summarize the services and customer
                  care rendered to me by Tata Indicom for their photon+ product in last
                  couple of month.
                  1. I am using Mobile GPRS on my PC which provide enough speed to
                  browse email etc. I had searched lots of broadband service and
                  considered photon+ for my broadband needs.
                  2. It was informed to me that photon+ works on the Hi Speed Internet
                  Access Net which available 24 hours and delivers upto 3.1 Mbps
                  bandwidth.
                  3. Now when I approached customer care, it was informed that it is
                  only connectivity speed and actual speed available is fluctuate
                  between 256 Kbps to 600 Kbps. It shows how false product promotion is
                  being done.
                  4. Before subscribing phton+, I was confirmed by customer care that
                  there is no signal problem in Delhi NCR. However if there is, it will
                  be resolved by the dedicated team of technical engineers.
                  5. I asked about the unlimited tariff plan but none was available in
                  Phton+. Thus I opted 1GB @650 plan.
                  6. Since day one of subscribing I was, facing the bandwidth problem. I
                  was unable to browse Google homepage or even connect to Network
                  whenever I required mostly in morning and evening.
                  7. I had registered the complaint through my web account against which
                  I had received calls from customer care and inform that some
                  additional device will be installed. But no one had turn up.
                  8. When I checked the status of my complaint in September I come to
                  know there is no record of my complaint in my web account.
                  9. Again I had register the complaint through me web account and
                  through email also. The thread of correspondence is attached herewith.
                  10. I come to know that Tata has introduced the unlimited plan @950
                  with cap of 5GB after which speed will be reduced. My usage was
                  increasing for which Customer care had informed on asking that some
                  updater software consumes the usage. Thus I opted [protected]@950.
                  11. After activation of this plan I received the sms that my usage is
                  limited to 5GB than charges will be applicable as per tariff.
                  12. I’m surprised and contact customer care, and same was confirmed to
                  me that there is no unlimited plan.
                  13. Than I captured the web image about the plan which is attached herewith.
                  14. During this my credit limit which was set to 2500/- has crossed
                  and my account was put to inactive.
                  15. I have contacted to customer care and I asked to get in touch with
                  Team Leader of Customer care. But I was informed that lines are busy
                  and put a call back request and advise me that I’ll receive the call
                  within three hours. I’m not sure whether this call back request is
                  open or closed. But I haven’t received any call.
                  16. Next day again I approach the customer care and rigid to talk TL.
                  After a long waiting I come to able to talk TL Mr. Nitish who had
                  promised to call me within 5 minutes after checking the issue as the
                  system is working very slow. After 3 hours I had again contact and
                  approach to Mr. Nitish and come to know that he is still working on my
                  issue. But the call is still awaited.
                  17. I had tried to contact Nodal officer and Appellate Authority, But
                  I’m surprised, either phone remain busy or number not available in
                  business hours and phone remain unanswered after business hours.
                  18. I had asked about the steps taken to resolve my problem and
                  contact details of some of the officials of Tata Photon+ But the mail
                  was unreplied till yet.
                  Now my connection is inactive and Tatas are unable to act on any
                  inactive connection and I’m rigid to pay my bills only after the
                  resolution of my complaint. I have a simple plea that when I register
                  my two complaints my connection was active and all of complaints are
                  closed without my consent. It is not the solution that phone is not
                  answered. However I’m writing continuous emails. Before photon+ I was
                  using mobile GPRS, I also used mobile GPRS when phton+ not worked. So
                  there is no problem to use mobile GPRS when Photon+ is inactive.
                  I already had spent handsome money on purchase of photon+, there is no
                  reason for payment defaults as I haven’t use the services of Tatas as
                  much as I paid. So again I pay my bills only after resolution of
                  complaint and Tatas are not entitled to bare my services.
                  I’ll protest in appropriate forum against services rendered by Tatas,
                  expenses incurred in calling customer care, false advertising and the
                  harassment caused to me.

                  Tata Docomo — Bill Discrepancy access bill amount

                  This Hari Ram Singh, I had a Mobile no. that is [protected], my credit limit for this no. was 800/- .
                  there was some discrepancy in bill amt. for the month of Nov'11 that's why i have not made the payment till now i have received the bill collection call from Docomo but i have refuse to pay because i am asking again and again that how could be my bill amt. beyond to credit limit. my bill amt is 9307/- for the month of Nov while my credit limit was 800/- .after exceeding my credit limit outgoing should be barred which is not happened.

                  Disconnection harassment

                  I have requested for disconnection of tata photon plus account ([protected]) for around 6 times. But it is not being done for no reasons . Tata photon plus is total fruad please no one buy it. My life is miserable now

                    Dear friends, don't buy TataPhoton whiz wireless USB modem. Very low speed & Wost service, no Service Gurantee in Salem City. I have already purchased USB Modem last month. last 1 week internet connection very low & Error message. I Will complaint Sales Man & Customer Care, but he is not respond in my complaint. finally i will advice all of you Don't Buy Tata Photon Wizz Wireless USB modem.

                    my name is KUMAR ANURAG. I have bought a tata photon whiz since previous month .my tata photon whiz number is [protected].when i bought this connection its downloading speed was 3kbps.i want to say every costomer do not buy tata photon whiz.
                    don't buy tata photon whiz. tata company cheat their customer .very slow speed is its feature.i advise to all to buy only bsnl internet connection.
                    I am using Tata Photon Whiz for last two months. And I did not face any problems as per mentioned above. I get the downloading speed upto 20kbps/sec. and browsing speed is also pretty normal .

                    Only problem is that it is wireless. so you need to buy an usb extension and place the modem in a place where you get maximum range.

                    My USB is giving sometimes around 40-50 kbps. It also require Indicom coverage of signal strength. If strength is 70% then it works fine or else does take lot of time.

                    i got tata photon whiz last week of february 2010 the id no. [protected] used up to three full hours the charges are reduced more than rs.125/- the charges heavy than your tariff it is cheated. And error messages are raising.

                    On dated[protected], my internet account usage balance was 1474 MB. But today's balance is 373 MB.
                    Althouh since that day I have not been using internet, my usage balance is deducting gradually. How is it possible without using internet. I've complained several times since that day. But they told it is occured due to some technical problems. Till today they have not rectified this problem. so I completely fed up. If I made a phone call they did not respond correctly. so please rectify this problem and credited the deducted usage balance to my account.

                      please dont buy TATA PHOTON PLUS. customer care is the most bakwaas division their executive said to me, " yes we do it with all our customer that we de-activate the connection after 3 or 4 days due to ''some'' reason!!''
                      !! IIT HAPPENED 4 TIMES WITH ME when very first month my i took this stupid photon plus it is deactivated 4 times and customer care executive said that credit limit is exceeded and bill is Rs.6000/- only after 4 days o[censored]sage and per day usage was only for 3-4 hours in a village area where current comes hardly for 5 hours and internet speed is too slow.
                      in october when i got my hardcopy of bill it says only rupees 344/-. GOD KNOW HOW COME THESE PEOPLE ARE RUNNING THESE COMPANIES making fool out of customers.

                      I've recently purchased Tata Photon Plus Connection. It is so disgusting that none of the executives have really taken the pain to come to my house and check the download speed. It is so pathetic that my internet download speed varies between 15 to 45 ONLY. It is all crap the promises made to me. Moreover the IVR of the customer care executives is painful that we have dial.. wait...then give the same details every now and then and still the purpose is not solved.

                      It has been almost a month since i've taken this connection. I spoke to 3 executives and they told me that i would be getting e-mail notification about the usage per my package and so far no e-mail notification has been sent to me. I also registered myself on the website with the above e-mail address and no single confirmation till date about my password.

                      PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING THIS. I DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO SUFFER LIKE ME.
                      You have saved my money. I was almost taking the connection and I have already called customer service. Now, I will not buy this. But, which one is better as on the date? Reliance, I have tried many times. It is useless since its speed is worse. I was told that Tata Photon speed is good.

                      I've purchased Tata Photon Max Connection on date 22-Jun-2013 from
                      Kamson Marketing Pvt. Ltd. At the time of purchase they told me that
                      the connection will be activated within 24 hrs i.e., by 23-jun-2013.
                      But when I checked on 24-Jun-2013, connection was not activated. I
                      just called to customer care to know about the issue, but they told me
                      that connection is not activated because of local verification pending
                      and will definitely activated within 24 hrs i.e., on 24-Jun-2013.
                      Again I faced same issue on 24-Jun-2013 and I called to customer care.
                      again they told me the same thing and was suggested to wait for
                      another 24 hrs. Same thing is happening till date. still I am not able
                      to access the data network because of Local Verification pending.

                      I don't want this connection now and kindly take back your device and
                      return my money 1500.

I have raised a complain on last friday(21/10/2011),(complain number:[protected], they replied that it will be resolved by 24th oct,2011 09:40 AM, but till now they did'nt yet resolved it , and for their problem they have blocked my photon plus and I am unable to access my photon plus, Everyday I am calling them and they are replying that it is in process, but already 3 days gone and they did'nt yet solve that problem till now. According to my plan and data usage I should'nt get bill amount of Rs-3194, but they have charged me that much amount.

                          Last week I bought tata photon plus, at Hyderabad for 3600/= (non-refundable) with monthly tariff of 750/= per month.
                          Contracdictory to their claims of max speed upto 3.1 mbps, to my sheer astonishment I have never experienced even a normal browsing speed. complaints have been lodged several times but the problem persists. Can I lodge a police complaint of cheating ?. Can I go to a consumer court?
                          Can I get my deposit back?

                          I purchased this connection in the month of December'09 and since then I regret the decision to go for a Tata Photon Plus internet connection. When I started using this connection in my house, to my astonishment the signal would be available only in the living room and none of the other rooms in the house. I logged a complaint and what I was told that signal is coming in 1 room so the surfing should be done from that same room and that nothing else can be done as a resolution. Anyways, i spent the entire harsh winters of noida away from my cozy bedroom and sitting in the drawing room of my house to surf the internet. Out of sheer frustration 2 weeks back i disconnected this device and put it back in the box it came in. Today i called your customer care center and spoke to a Rekha and her sr executive Balvinder, and both of them could not empathize with me when i described my situation, i told them that i dont want this device as it is of no use to me, and they said that this is now your device, whether you use it or not we will not refund any amount to you for not using it.

                          I want to know, if this device is not working then why should i keep it? Tata indicom should cut some part of the money and refund me the amount of 3600 which they had taken from me. I am totally frustrated with your service and if I am not compensated for this then I will have to knock the doors of consumer court.

                            1) From Day 1 my USB modem does not work...
                            2) Complained to tata indicom and found marketting guys visiting my plase posing as technicians.
                            3) These executives are in a hurry to close the complaints and resort to play the blame game and close the complaints
                            4) I had the issue esculated, only to find that every person is playing the blame game.

                            1) When the USB modem is inserted in the USB port the OS crashes immedeatly.
                            2) Connecting the USB modem while booting only restart the complete system in loops
                            3) When connected with a USB hub, the system does not get restarted, and only 30 % of times it works perfectly well.
                            4) All other USB devices work perfectly well with my laptop.

                            I bought Photon plus EC1260 with my new Compaq Presario Laptop running on Windows 7 Home Premium. It was a blunder.

                            The device is NOT compatible on Windows 7 Operating System despite applying the patch available on the Tata Indicom website.

                            The laptop crashes and I get a BLUE SCREEN each time the device is removed or inserted or after using for 5-10 minutes. This has affected my laptop.

                            None of the technicians are able to help me. The suggestions given are outrageous from a) go top the HP service center - laptop may be faulty ; b) reinstall Windows 7 and even c) apply Service Pack 3 !!!. This was very strange.

                            I am going to ask for Refund. The guys should not have marketed the product for Windows 7 when its NOT compatible at all.

                                  I have been using photon plus from the past 2 months. It disconnects for every 3-4 min when i am out of hyderabad. In 2nd grade towns it should work with min speed. I have called them 6 times regarding the issue. Except in hyderabad it never worked for me, every time i should re-connect or play some songs on internet to keep the connection live. I have tried all the options as their executives told.

                                  Recently taken new connection of BSNL broadband. To get a password it took one week, but after wards net is disconnecting with in every 15 min. very poor service

                                  Agreed... Except in the home network, it sucks while in roaming. You've to be constantly doing some active actions to stay connected. If I start reading something on the net for more than 3-4 mins, it'll automatically disconnect, which is very frustrating. Also, the speed really slows down during the evening time, which is contrary to logic, since offices will be closed and home users will switch to more reliable broadband connections.

                                  I am a Canadian nationl visiting India on business and during my stay in Mumbai I happened to purchase a Tata Photon Plus as I was informed that it provided wireless connectivity anywhere in India. I have tried several times to use the product but it keeps logging me off everytime I connect. As a result of which I have had to rely on internet cafe's to carry out by business activities between India and North America

                                  I am certain that we(all o[censored]s that have bought this product have been scammed) India today is leading the world in info/tech and It is truely sad to see that you cannot even provide the common man/business people visiting with proper internet service.in this day and age. I am dissappointed with you India and will take my business elsewhere in future.

                                  Photon Plus Modem — Always disconnect

                                  I have using Photon + from lat 3 months. It always gets disconnected. and further it is not detected. And the outlets are not ready to take this device. The service center is too far and it is only the Service centre.

                                  I would like to draw your attention regarding cheating of customer by TATA Company. I bought TATA PHOTON from this company and installed it in my desktop on 25th of november 2010 but it does not work till date becouse of it's bad connectivity.
                                  In the begnning they told me it's fast & safe but i realised they fooled me.many times i called them for help but they are not ready to listen me anymore. I bought that device for my brother from my three months saving.

                                  Even I have faced this problem of frequent disconnection with Photon+ when it connects in Photon Whiz mode. After repeated calls to customer service, I got it resolved finally (I hope the problem is fixed now coz it is more than half an hour since I am connected this time without interruption. This is what I did the last time on my Windows XP laptop.

                                  1. Program Files -> Run
                                  2. Type "telephon.cpl" and press Enter.
                                  3. In phone and modem Options, select "New Location" under Dialing Rules and click "Edit" button.
                                  4. Select country as India and enter Area code 91.
                                  5. Check "To disable call waiting, dial" and enter "*70, ". [Star 7 0 comma]
                                  6. For dial using, select "Tone".
                                  7. Click OK.
                                  8. Click OK to close the phone and modem options.
                                  9. Restart Computer (Don't think this step is required. But, did it as the service person asked me to).

                                      Hi,

                                      I am ashish gupta, i am using tata photon whiz since last 20 days in ramapuram chennai area.
                                      My photon whiz no is — [protected].
                                      When i taken that conncetion, tata indicom executive was saying that
                                      Max. Speed of tata photon whiz is 153.6kbps.
                                      But i am getting only max. Speed 3 to 4 kbps.
                                      Regarding it i registered three complaints[protected],[protected],[protected]
                                      But issue not yet resolved.
                                      When i registered first complaint[protected], next day one technician mr. Kiran visit my home.
                                      But kiran was saying that 3 kbps is max. Speed of tata photon whiz in all over chennai.
                                      So kiran was not able to resolve that issue and without resolving that issue he left from my home.
                                      Again i registered two more complaints[protected],[protected] regarding same issue.
                                      Once again mr. Kiran visit my home but he was saying same wording that 3 kbps is max. Speed of
                                      Tata photon whiz in all over chennai and within 1 min without saying anything he left.
                                      I am calling daily customer care 2-3 times regarding same issue.
                                      But issue not yet resolved.
                                      On 12-sep-2009 i talked to customer care head mr. Nitin, he was saying that another technician
                                      Will visit on 14-sep-2009 till 9:00 pm and issue will resolved 100%. But nobody visit.
                                      I am totally fedup with tata photon whiz.

                                      Tata Photon Whiz — heavy charges and poor service

                                      Sir,
                                      on 17th september '09 i had taken a connection of tata photon whiz (broadband service). For 2 months it was free service, but now, after these two months they are charging a heavy amount of money i.e.Rs.1250 . On the other hand it was told us that the charges will be only Rs.800. Its speed is also very low, it did not works properly as sometime it did not shows any web pages. Earlier a complaint was give via email but no response was given to us.
                                      Dear Sirs & Madam,
                                      What is the secret behind your success, earning, pride? I will tell you, it's us the costumers, who buys and uses your products. And the motto of each and every company should be to provide the best service possible and not to cheat the customers (can be sued). Tata Photon Whiz, which has a speed of 153kbps (as they have mentioned) is not so true. It took me 5minutes to load this page with signal strength of 94% (the ugly truth) and the fees are no less either. Moreover it keeps on losing connection or falls to 0.00Kbps most of the time with the same signal strength (surprising huh?). Other net providers offering a speed of 128kbps is ten times more better than Tata Photon Whiz and with a lower fee (in this case Photon + also).
                                      Sir/madam, when are you fixing this problem? wat are you waiting for? someone to sue the company? or planning to bring more of the same products with more attractive offers into the market?

                                      153Kbps = 15KBps
                                      This is maxium donwload speed (15 KBps) that is commited by tata. If your data plan is unlimited then you will never gets this speed. Also, if there are simultaneous users from where you connected speed decreases. I am also customer of tata. I used their service in past. This is my experience. I have also bad experience with their service. I suggest you that see first difference between kb = kilo bits and Kb = Kilo Bytes (1 Kb = 1024 kb). Our browser shows speed in KB and tata presents their speed in kb .

                                      This is in regards with the tariff change request which I had made on 15 Nov 09 on customer care i.e. 1504 regarding my plan change from home plan 250 to home plan unlimited.                                       i'm using ubuntu operating system(LINUX)..
                                      in which how to connect internet through the TATA PHOTON whiz...
                                      i was told that downloading speed should be near 40 kbps but it is only 14 kbps.company making us fool.
                                      EXCESS BILLING, I was using Vdata Night Unlimited Surfing Plan, 400 rs, after 1 month what I see Bill was 855.heavy charges and poor service.

Cannot believe Tata sold us a bill of goods which is so inefficient and downright useless most of the time. Not to mention the indifferent response to complaints. Mr. Tata where are you?                                       Every day i try to speak to someone from Tata Photon, no use... Customer support Agent says this is not the concern department, then they transfer it takes again 10-15 minutes to speak.

                                      Before writing this comments I spoke to nearly 3 Agents till the end they keep on transfering, it's very frustrating.

                                      Very bad customer service if you purchase you'll waste your precious time and money with Tata and they won't refund your money.

                                      Tata Photon Plus Internet Connection — Reg; Account No 906531349 Provided false information and no sufficient response after the sale of the instrument.

                                      We took the connection of Tata Photon Plus on 28th of February Account No[protected] from the executive Mr. Srinivas from Ameerpet. He provided the information that there is no charge for browsing and surfing and we will be charged only for the downloads also the bill plan is incorrect. After that we called the customer care and found this information is wrong, even our database also showing wrong information updated by them. We contacted customecare many times but there is no such response towards resolving the issue. Now the connection is also disconnected.

                                      With absolute disappointment I am compel to say the photon plus device ([protected])
                                      delivered to me on 18th of March 2010 from GB Bazar,Agartala subdealer, has a very slow speed(Average 60 kbps) Subsequently I informed the service engineer and after 5 days when I received the device with no improvement. While connecting the device I contentiously get CDMA link and never got High speed link.However I once again request you to replace or repair the device immediately as my important works are held up and I am loosing interest on using device of your reputed concern.

                                      Tata Photon Whiz — Misguidance by executive

                                      Hi,

                                      I have been using Tata photon whiz for the last 20 days.All my 20 days went with frustration and depression.My concerns are below:-

                                      1--) First, i was misguided by a call center executive Aditya,

                                      2--) My internet speed like nothing. And it takes me hours to open even a single website.

                                      Aditya told me that my plan can be converted into Tata photon plus merely by paying 1000 bucks, but this is not possible.

                                      someone called me from Mohali and told i can get full refund of my device, but when i confirmed the same someone told this is not possible.

                                      Pathetic service, and false commitments.

                                      Fed up with the kind of service these guys provide.

                                      It has put me into frustration and wasted my time as well as money.

                                      Kindly do something in favor and improve the kind of service provided by Tata photon.

                                      It would be highly appreciated.

                                      Hi i have recently brought a tata photon wizz but its almost 8 days over now it has not been connectrd and shows error msg the executive does not respon to my call and was very rude ...even after providing all the doccuments my connection has not started .this kind of services are not accepted from tata ...i think they should hire more well mannered well trained people for this job as customer service is the mos important part of the business!!!

                                      hi you will not get more speed than this.that's for sure.other than that they will not dissconect your net i am myself a victim of tata photon whiz. after giving written application for disconnection my net connection was not disconnected.ihave received the bill after more than a month of giving request.the bill was not waivedoff.iam getting harassed by their salesman.i'll advise all that never take tata servicesby mistake even.
                                      iam using tata photon whiz from last 2 months.it gave the speed promised by dealer but gradually its getting worse with a speed of 150-153.6 kbps we should get download speed 20-25 KB/s but we are far to that, we are just stucked around 10-15 KB/s. this very appalling and shocking . server fails about 2-3 times a day giving us zero speed sometimes.i live in n i am waiting for tata photon plus in bhopal i hope it will give a better result.ANYBODY HAVE ANY SOLUTION

                                      I took a modem connection from tata indicom.. but the dealer in the shop cheat me with the photon whiz instead of photon+. He dint gave me instructions about photon+.. Also there s slow network coverage in my residing area.. So pls help me with this and get me a plan to change for photon+ with the actual price and i need to take action on the particular dealer...

                                      Tata photon whiz is vry in servise . while connectin the speed is 153kbps. but it instantly falls to 0.0kbps. it is a vry bad connection!!! some1 pls try to improve it!!
                                      I also join to the complaint that the promised speed is now getting to the internet connection.                                       But i am getting only max. speed 3 to 4 Kbps.

                                      But issue not yet resolved.

                                        the internet connection fails automatically too many time and the error in connection shown/ displayed.

                                        iam living in tripura(agartala) state of india.my photon whiz speed is very very slow...the download speed is only 0.9kbps...when i first purchased photon whiz, it was being told to me that the browsing speed will be 153.6kbps...but when i brought it in my home, the browsing speed was just 33kbps...please solve my problem as early as possible..my photon whiz number is([protected])..
