Sir,

In July 2015 I have booked a room in a resort in Mysore through TravelGuru website and made a full payment(5835/-)for that on July 30th 2015.
due to medical emergency we cancelled our trip on 4th November and intimated the same to TravelGuru team on 5thNovember, and asked them to cancel our bookings and REFUND the money whatever they can at that time as I have asked them to cancel booking 4 days prior to my Checkin...

It was very unexpected that I have to wait so long for a single cancellation. This kind of service is not expected for a professional organisation like Travel Guru. I have to call 4times (Ms. Nibedita, Ms. Ayesha, Rubbon Saloman etc) and each times each executive confirmed me that the revised voucher will be provided to me by within 2hrs but it was almost 24hrs over and yet to receive a single confirmation mail or revised voucher. Travel Guru has liar and unprofessional employee to manage customer.

    Dear Sir/Madam, I logged into travelguru.com and saw that there were 2 rooms available at Masinagudi - The Wild resort, I booked immediately on 28th and got the confirmation mail booking ID TGU[protected]. Next day I paid 5896/- by cash receipt # [protected]/travelguru order ID [protected]and again the ci got confirmation mail with details of the Hotel. The telephone number which they had mentioned was not working, so i called travel guru agent and got the mobile no. When i called The Wild they mentioned they don't have any mails/confirmation from Travelguru. Then I started following up with TraveGuru Agents and later on 30th evening they mentioned my booking stands cancelled as they could not reach out the Hotel. It was just an harassment me to go through the calls, following up, travelguru never bothered to call and inform. they were ridiculous, not worth while company to take care of the customer. They started offering me gift voucher for Rs.500/- when I shouted more they offered Rs.1000/- voucher and later they said you could go to any hotel and claim the reimbursement for the diff amount. It was disappointing to my family and also because of these guys I didnt make any alternative arrangements. Now I think this is what could be called money rotation, they collect money from customer keep in bank and probably take interest as the refund happens only after 5 working days or may be they show more booking go to the angel investors and show them how popular they are and beg money from them.     Never ever book on Travel Guru, they initially show there are rooms available later when we call hotel they say no confirmation ..,

      Dear Sir, I have made online hotel booking through travelguru.com My Booking ID. TGUA[protected] by mistake I made my booking in my nick name manish baheti but my original name is Mahesh Baheti. I called travel guru so many times to change the booking in my original name but it is almost 4 days passed I have not received any confirmation from travel guru. I transferred full amount of my room booking at the same time now it is very embrassing situation for me should I wait or cancel the booking. Not only this during booking their executive Mr. Manish Goel confirmed me that only the person who will stay in the room has to carry the original id proof. It doesn't matter that who is booking the room. After payment when we call to the concern hotel the person their says that it is compulsory that person who made booking has to stay in the room so because of that we ask TRAVELGURU to change the booking person name and keep the same booking. Now from 3 days they are asking that hotel person may ask for the charges for changing the room so we ask them about the charges for the same but till today neither they informed us about the charges nor they change the name. I feel I made a big mistake and pay them fully for the room teriff.

        I contacted TRAVELGURU for getting booked one deluxe room each at Mount Abu for 2 & 3rd nights and one at Udaipur for 4 & 5th nights at contact no.[protected] where after one Nisar (who gave his contact No. as [protected]) called me up and gave details of rooms at both the places. Accordingly, after settlement of room rent on telephone, he asked me for payment and said that he would get the payment collected in cash from my residence at Chandigarh and a receipt would be given in token of receipt of payment. As a fair dealing, I made payment of Rs.8281/ (Rs.5171/- & Rs.3110/-) in cash to the person visiting my place and he gave me a receipt also of the amount in question. Today morning, I received a telephone call at my mobile number from ph.no.[protected] from some female caller saying that the room booked for me in Hotel Rangniwas Udaipur doesn't have sufficient space to provide extra bedding. It is surprising that the money was taken by you, through your representative, on 29/07/2015 and he gave details of the room, as per my needs, on 28.07.2015 therefore there was no question of conflict in room size on 31.07.2015 i.e. after four days. I requested the caller that cancel booking of my room and make refund today itself by 5.00 p.m. as it is very meagre amount but she refused to do so. I immediately made a written complaint on this website with a request to refund my money by 5.00 p.m. today itself but it has not been done so far i.e. till 6.50 pm. Now you have forced me to report the matter to some agency like police to proceed against TRAVELGURU. I have seen so many complaints against you on the internet which show that TRAVELGURU are habitual of doing frauds with INNOCENT PUBLIC and are not indulged in fair dealings. As I have to travel on 2nd Aug., 2015, I still request TRAVELGURU to refund my money by tomorrow through special messanger so that i am not short of funds so that we may continue with our dealings in a fair manner. I am Class-I officer of judicial department at Chandigarh meaning thereby I am not a person of such kind who may drag the people in difficulty unnecessarily but there is a reason in this case.         In continuation of my earlier complaint, i would like to add here that i chose to get cancelled/refund of my booking amount for Mount Abu due to the climatic conditions according to which there is floods in Gujarat, southern cities of Rajasthan and on account of continuous rains, roads were damaged due to land-sliding and shooting of stones and it would not be possible to visit Mount Abu on 2nd to 4th August, 2015, hence, even though there was any booking, which in no case, was confirmed by the phone caller, as such in the absence of any confirmation of booking of room in Mount Abu, and in view of the whether conditions and road conditions, it was otherwise not possible to visit Mount Abu as such the money taken by Travelguru is required to be refunded because due to the circumstances beyond my control, visiting Mount Abu is not possible and the booking of room at Udaipur in Hotel Rangniwas was not confirmed by Travelguru due to size of the room. Therefore, in no situation and circumstances, Travelguru can withheld my money and are bound to refund the same without any reason and objection whatsoever. KANWAL RAMPAL.           dont book through the travel guru and he is a fraud and i booked one hotel through travel guru the hotel is not even best than care of platform. we struggled lot and the travel guru is earning money by cheating from good customers.

          dont ever buy through travel guru. he has charged me five star hotel price which is not at all the hotel is good and i was requesting for my refund and they denied to refund it.

            I booked Zo JH E18teen hotel proof of which is attached. When I went to Zo JH E18teen hotel the hotel authorities said they don't have with this booking ID.               Dear Diksha, It was very unfortunate and unprofessional from your part that after confirming the booking and accepting payments you have cancelled the booking without the intimation to me. Consider a situation if I would have travelled to Pushkar with your voucher and the hotel is all booked ? My pro active approach made me communicate with the hotel and confirm the reservation.Your claim to technologically advances site is questionable to the core. You took good 5 days to revert after my call to your call centre alarming about this situation. You/the person called me was quite unapologetic and sounded that it is a routine affair with your site. On exploring the internet about complaints there are loads of such complaints about your portal and associated cheating/false promises by your site. I would have appreciated if after this fiasco, somebody would have helped me to find another hotel/try to find a solution to my problem. I read that this portal is run by HBS graduate but i find no difference in operations to my travel agent round the street. Ethics and culture is not taught at HBS, the values comes from system you live in, unfortunately the promoters of the company are not inculcated with. Awaiting response. Sincerely, Pakul Chaturvedi

                I booked for 2 TRIPLE BED Rooms Through TRAVELGURU at MYSURU PRAKAASH PALACE, i got checked in at 7.00PM, but they told me that i cant Stay till next day 7.00PM, they hav insisted me to check out at 12.00Noon...They hav also provided me with Double Room(i.e) I booked for TRIPLE BED ROOM, but they gave me Double bed room..Though Paying money for TRIPLE BED ROOM i hav stayed in Double, nd also got Checked out in 7hours. I hav been suffered lot thru Booking on TRAVELGURU... note: 1.No one informed me about [email protected] To [email protected] noon CHECK-OUT. 2.Even in the INVOICE COPY Travel Guru hasn't Mentioned about tat 12 NOON check-OUT 3.I hav payed for TRIPLE BED room and stayed in Double room. 4. I have totally Paid RS.2881 & slept on the floor.. If Travel Guru cant provide good service, why the HELL ur calling us making us to BOOK rooms THru ur Service.

                  I had booked Hotel by making full payment on 23rd April for travel on 1st to 3rd May in Mahabaleshwar.The Travelguru guy confirmed booking.Wheraes on 28th April they called me up at night to inform that the hotel has not honored the booking and gave me a poor option .I rejected the same and they cancelled my booking and informed that they would refund full amount in 3 days.Till last 20 days they are enjoying my payment and I have not got my credit.I had also lost my taxi booking advance as I had to forego my travel.My family was upset as we had nothing to plan at the last minute. This is extremely unprofessional way of handling customer and is cheating .

                    I had booked a hotel via Travelguru for the long weekend of May 1 to 3, 2015 at yercaud, Tamilnadu on April 23, 2015. The representative at Travelguru had confirmed the booking and even sent a mail confirmation after i paid the entire charges for the 3-day stay. I was looking forward to spending the weekend with my family, as we rarely get such long weekends. But after 5 days, on April 28, 2015, I received a call from Travelguru stating that the hotel was full and the hotel had rejected their advances for booking my reservation. I was heavily disappointed as i had even made the Travel arrangements for the same. Travelguru simply called and said that my booking was cancelled and refund was being processed. It is not a matter of money. It is a matter of promise of service that they have to keep once they commit to. When a customer approach such sites, it is on the belief that they will keep up their promise. Add to it the lethargic response from the person who spoke like they are doing a huge favour for me for not charging the Cancellation fees, as if I had cancelled my reservation. Travelguru let me down big time!!! I would certainly not recommend it to anyone.

                      I booked a room (Royal Category-(With Breakfast &Dinner) in Hotel : BrightLand, Shimla bookingID.TGU[protected] for one night (CheckIn 1st May 2015) .I paid the amount in full i.e Rs 5772.When i visited Hotel and saw the room it was standard category room.I called the Travel guru they said its royal category, on my request Hotel staff agreed to change my room but the changed room was also the standard category. I called the travel gure again but they did not help me .So i had to stay there because i did not have any choice .And Hotel Manager told me that their charge for the same category are Rs 4220(Royal Category- Breakfast & Dinner).So i paid 1550 more and did not get the room as per expected category.

                        Travelguru sent me a booking comfirmation vide booking ID TGUA[protected] on my email [protected]@gmail.com. They also confirmed that they had received payment in the amount of Rs. 13778 from me. The booking was for 4 Executive rooms with breakfast at the hotel "City Park" in Amritsar. Reservation for these 4 rooms was confirmed for 4th april 2015 check in and 5th april 2015 check out. When we reached the hotel after an early morning train journey, the manager at City Park hotel told us that they are sold out and we don't have a booking. I was with my 90 year old grandmother, my retired parents and aunt, and a 11 month old infant! The manager then told me that they had informed travelguru on 2nd April itself that the hotel was sold out. Travelguru did not bother to inform us. Upon calling them, they told me they had tried contacting me at 12 pm on 4th of April (which was the time of our check in!!!). The very discourteous travelguru staff was unapologetic and the customer service manager Vinayak told me there is no use arguing, let me find another hotel for you. They then asked us to shift to a hotel called Volga which is not even a proper guest house to say the least. The cheating travelguru staff then told me that they have upgraded us to family suites in Volga. There is only one family suite in Volga and that is not even comparable to a basic room of City Park hotel.
                        The manager at city park hotel was nice to accommodate my grandmother in one room for 3 hours as a doctor had to come and see her as she was fairly unwell and all this waiting had added to her health problems. The doctor came and gave her three injections and lots of medication. After this we arranged our own transport and reached hotel Volga at 5 pm. Travelguru had assured us that Volga staff is already aware we are arriving. To our surprise and agony, the Volga staff made us wait for 1.5 hours in the dirty lobby while they got the rooms ready. All this while my grandmother, my 11 month old son and my retired parents kept waiting in the lobby. The standard of Volga hotel is not even 1500 Rs per room per night (which is on their tariff card as well) compared to the Rs 3444 we had paid for hotel city park. Noone from travelguru has informed us of any refund till asked and they said they would refund some amount as if they were doing me a favor.
                        This is MENTAL HARRASSMENT, CHEATING and BREACH OF AGREEMENT.

                        I HAVE BEEN AN EARLY CUSTOMER OF TRAVELGURU AND NOT ONLY WILL I TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, I WOULD ALSO TAKE PAINS TO ENSURE ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES, SOME OF WHOM ARE VERY SENIOR PEOPLE IN REPUTED ORGANISATIONS, DONT USE TRAVELGURU AGAIN

                          I had a booking done for a home stay in coorg. Hotel : Yedamakky Cottage, Coorg bookingID.TGU[protected].on 28th march 2015 for which i paid the amount in full. On the day of my trip i get a call from Travel guru saying that the place i booked is full and they are giving me an alternate place. I had to agree because i did not have a choice. I reached the new hotel they provided me for to stay and found out that this place is not in coorg. Alternate hotel which they provided me was 65km from coorg. And the hotel was like a booth bungalow, with a lady with me i found it very unsafe to stay so i called the customer care of travel guru, I had to wait 20 minutes before i could speak to someone. There was not use talking to that person as she did not do anything for the mistake that had happen and was least concern about the safety. I Lost precious weekend, there was waste of my time energy and money. I want full refund of my money for booking and also compensation for my time and money wasted.

                            As per booking ID, mentioned in the name of suresh g.the mail i have fwd.i am unable to check in as of today, due to a unforeseen and unexpected death of my family member. Therefore, i request to oversee my case in a sympathetic view and refund the hootel booking made out of my hard earned earnings, after due deligence after deducting the charges that may arisr.its a one off incident, not a deliberate attempt. Please do expedite my case as soon as possible as i have paid thru my credit card.

                              I had booked a resort in Matheran through Travel Guru and got a confirmation from Agent Shishir that the booking is confirmed. I paid 11, 000 for a resort on 20th Feb 2015. On 23rd Feb 2015, I called the resort to check my reservation, where they said that they do not have such reservations. I was surprised to hear and called up Travel guru to check the status. They mentioned that they will require time to confirm as rooms are not available. I cant believe that executive are so dumb that they fail to inform gst abt the rooms not available. What if I had not called the hotel to confirm? I would have been in a major trouble after reaching there. Later after arguing with them, they offered me an alternative in the sister co. of the resort where I was actually upset with the decision and had left with no option. I had my Anniversary plan for the weekend where Travel gurus have already screwed my plans...

                                Hi,
                                I tried to book resort "The Windflower Resort and Spa, Coorg using Travel Guru for the date 22nd Jan.When I went to trip adviser, I saw that I am getting this resort on travel guru for around Rs. 8000 but that is non refundable.I clicked on the travel guru and made the booking.When the invoice got generated, hotel booking was made for Bandipur not Coorg.I was really surprised and called the help desk.They said booking is confirmed and it is non refundable and they will not change it.Some how I got convinced after seeing the pic on Travel guru, the greenery shown for the resort and all situated at bandipur.But when I visited their it was a dry forest and small huts was created in between the forest.No television, Cannot walk in night, on the name of Bonfire there was 2 wood logs kept.It was not at all a family destination to stay with Kids.I could not even stay for even 1 hour and came back.I talked to hotel in charge for my cancellation and refund they said they cannot refund it back.I am feeling very cheated now.
                                When i explained them about their problem in site they rectified that but did not consider anything for my booking.

                                Please help me in getting my money back.

You booked the room for the accommodation of 6 adults in 2 rooms but when we reached hotel the room is not fit for even 2 adults, you (travell guru) made us to sleep on the floor which resulted the hardship and the major cervical pain to one o[censored]s who is already a cervical patient due to which our whole tour got spoiled even after facing all that hardship we tried to adjust their but the last nail in the coffin done when at the time of check out the receptionist charged INR 250 from us for that so called arrangement he had made for that 3rd person even he start fighting with us and we don't want to do the same so we paid the amount. When i called to your executive that girl was not ready to listen my problem and when i request her to transfer my call to her seniour the call is got disconnected. This type of behavior is not expected from a reputated travell agency even after having a strict consumer protection laws in our country. So, i m definatly going to take some legal action against you for the hardship, mental harashment, physical strain and for spoiling our whole tour.
