Hi, My name is Sudheer Guddanti, customer o[censored]nion Bank of India. I would like to bring to your notice the issue I faced that led me to lodge a complaint (Complaint no. #7702690). I was charged Rs.577 for a failed transaction at point-of-sale on my debit card on[protected]. I subsequently raised a complaint on the same on[protected] so that I can get my money refunded. I was informed by the customer care that resolving the issue would take 45 days (45 working days to be precise). What I am disappointed is that there is no update on the progress till now (even after 45 days). Whenever I call up the customer care, I would be told that the complaint is still open and to call back after 2 days. They don't even have any idea if there is any progress on this. First of all, I am shocked to know that resolving these complaints takes 45 days. And to add to that, you don't even guarantee me if I would be getting my money back (which I should). The worst part about your service is not letting the customer know the progress on the complaint. Now, after 3 months when I called the customer care today, they say that the ticket is closed and the transaction is successful. They are saying I won't be getting my money back. I can't even go back to the merchant after 3 months (45 working days) and ask him for the money. This is a serious case of fraud from Union Bank of India with their pathetic service. I want my money back. Having banked with other banks, I do know that these issues can be resolved in a week's time. And these guys take 3 months and finally say the transaction is successful. Your service is pathetic to say the least and I am not at all happy with the way you treat customers. Very sad that you are least bothered about the complaints. Thanks,

    I am Satyapal Singh having Account o[censored]nion Bank. My A/C No - [protected], Branch - Khalishpur, District - Ghazipur (UP). There is double transaction from my debit card of Rs. 4050. I have used my Debit card (Swipe) for DDA form with Axix Bank on 24/9/14, money is debited from my account same day. But again same amount of Rs. 4050 is debited from my account on 26/9/14. I have called 3-4 times in customer care. Bank is showing its a ATM withdrawal. but hows it possible transaction of Rs. 4050 from ATM. They are not giving any detail about the transaction. Customer care people are not helping. Customer care people are saying to contact your home branch. Pls help. Its very urgent. Bank is not taking any complaint.       Should we say that banking has bailed in India.. Should we say that bank personnel in India are not Customer friendly even if they receive any complaints they don't take an action. There are many ATM centers where the machines ar not working. They not responding for the new cards. Also in many places cash gets exhausted. Further instead of cash bank papers come along with cash, which the machine counts as cash. There is one instance where my friend got a red slip used for, mentioning the denomination and the bank at which the cash was bundled . Even if someof the compl, aints are berought to the notice of the officials, they do not care the customers.

                I had already raised this request several times but didn't receive any favourable response. Please look into this matter.

                  Union bank of india, Kumbakonam branch, reference number [protected], this is regarding letter sent by the bank on 17/07/2014 ST AGRI CROP LOAN special settlement scheme 2014 for rs 4100. I have not taken any loan against ST AGRI CROP LOAN and even the address is wrong.                         I talked to branch manager Dev Prakash regarding new account opening and he told me that they can not open account of person who belongs to outside and residing here while providing all necessary documents as per RBI also her way of talking was very bad. i am not customer o[censored]nion bank of India but was thinking to open the saving account and now due to his behavior i think that i will never open account in your bank and neither suggest any one. if they behave like this for a person who want to open account so what should i think that how they behave with customers who already have account in his branch. For any Clarification and complete description talk to me.

                          Dear Sir/Madam, Kindly look in this matter, As i am a customer o[censored]nion Bank of India from 2006 my a/c [protected] is opened at Gwalior M.P. Now i am facing issue from past 15days but no one is helping me either not customer care center or not union bank branch. My issue regarding my debit card not active or not getting linked with my saving account no. as i have applied for new debit card bcoz my old debit card has been expired so i have applied for new card at Pune branch due currently i am not in Gwalior due to my job posting in Pune so i have applied for new debit card at UBI bank(Bhavanipeth Branch, pune), Jawaharlal Nehru Rd, Vrindavan Society, Guru Nanak Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra 411037 branch on 16th My 2014 and bank executive ask me my card will activated after 3 working days but when after 3 days my card not get activated then i have called on call center [protected] and they ask me pls contact the branch where my card issue so on May 20th i reached on branch and contact bank executive but they ask me your card not getting linked with your ac so pls call to customer care they will help you. Now there is no one helping me and still my debit card not active. kindly help me and resolved my issue as soon as possible pls.                                     I received a call this morning (29th March 2014) from a representative who was claiming to be the general manager of the Mumbai branch o[censored]nion Bank. He said his name was Kumar Swamy. He told me that in order to verify whether I was authentic and whether I made the complaint or not he required my user Id and password for internet banking for another bank. I told him that I did not have my internet banking password but I did have my phone banking username and password. I was a little naive and I provided him with my id and password and after that call I called my elder brother and discussed the situation with him. I was advised that I should change my password as soon as possible as they had no right to know the details of my account and following this advise I changed my phone banking password. The man on the phone provided me with a complaint number as well which was OV[protected]. He told me that he required my net banking user Id and password and asked me for a time when he could call me and I would have my net banking Id and password. I was called again in the evening at 8:30 from a number which appeared as +4065. I denied giving him my password on this occassion as well. The so called Mr. Swamy then called me from [protected] and said that I should believe him and give him my details as he was calling from the SBI helpline number. I again denied giving him the details after which he threatened to deactivate my SBI account for good and said that I would never be able to reactivate my SBI account. My elder brother was with me and I asked him to speak to the so called Mr. Swamy. He advised my brother to advise me to give him my details or else he would deactivate my SBI account. My brother questioned the authenticity of this statement and the so called Mr. Swamy replied by saying that they were linked with the RBI and they had all the authority in the world to deactivate my SBI account. So my brother told him that if he had the authority to do so then he could go ahead and do that. He then spoke to someone on his end saying that "haan Om Prakash Jaiswal ka account block kar dijiye" Please go ahead and block Om Prakash Jaiswal's account (which I believe was utter nonsense spoken to no one but the office walls that the so called Mr. Swamy must have been speaking to). He then provided me with another reference number which was IR[protected]. I then asked him where he was speaking from to which he replied head office so I asked him where this head office might me so he replied that it was in Bombay and he was the general manager Kumar Swamy. This is nothing more than a cheap call centre trick and I am sure this was one of their collection agents trying their cheap trick on us. I checked my atm account after this call and my account seemed to be in perfect working conditions. The man pretending to be Mr. Kumar Swamy did not even seem educated enough to be uttering such nonesense let alone be the general manager of the Union Bank of India in Mumbai. Whenever we are provided with account details and passwords we are advised not to disclose this information to anyone. This sounds very much like a scam to me and I am extrememly unhappy with this behaviour. I would like these people to take proper action and not have some fake call centre agents calling me and asking me for authentication with their weak logics. This is pathetic on your behalf and an example of poor customer service, not simply poor customer service but to me it sounds like an attempt to commit fraud. I want some proper action to be taken against these fraudulent people. My previous complaint was against the Union Bank branch in Mount Abu. My Union Bank account number was [protected]. I provided my phone number in my previous complaint.

                                      I was trying to buy some merchandise online and my debit card was not accepted because the details for authentication were considered incorrect. The name that appears on my card is RK[protected] and my card number is [protected]. Websites do not accept digits as a part of a name and in order to get this issue sorted I visited their branch office (Mount Abu) on the 24th of March 2014. When I discussed the problem that I was facing with the one of the officials in the bank, I was told that I would have to call the customer care helpline and they would be able to help me out with the issue. I called the customer care helpline and they told me that I would have to visit the branch office in order to find a solution for my problem. I visited the office again today (27th March 2014) and spoke to the branch manager about my problem. The branch officer spoke to me in an extremely rude manner and said that they could not do anything about the problem and that they did not have the authority required in order not handle the problem and that a call to the customer care helpline would be able to solve my problem. From what I know regarding the system, the customer care helpline is something of a call centre and I do believe that in any business the office of that business has more authority and power over its functioning than a call centre. If i want to activate options such as net banking and phone banking then I believe that the bank office would be able to do a lot more for me than the customer care call centre. I am extremely dissappointed in their services and I find their lousy excuses unappropriate and something that doubts my intelligence I don't know if they believe that their customers are foolish. I am extremely unhappy with their services and have also deactivated my account with them. This is not the first time that I am facing a problem with them. I am tired of wasting time and am a working man. I only have a day off during the whole week and I have plenty of things to do in that time. I can't afford to waste time on such services. I have a few other friends who are facing problems with the bank but if they wish to lodge a complaint then they would do so themselves. My elder brother was with me and I asked him to speak to the so called Mr. Swamy. He advised my brother to advise me to give him my details or else he would deactivate my SBI account. My brother questioned the authenticity of this statement and the so called Mr. Swamy replied by saying that they were linked with the RBI and they had all the authority in the world to deactivate my SBI account. So my brother told him that if he had the authority to do so then he could go ahead and do that. He then spoke to someone on his end saying that "haan Om Prakash Jaiswal ka account block kar dijiye" Please go ahead and block Om Prakash Jaiswal's account (which I believe was utter nonsense spoken to no one but the office walls that the so called Mr. Swamy must have been speaking to). He then provided me with another reference number which was IR[protected]. I then asked him where he was speaking from to which he replied head office so I asked him where this head office might me so he replied that it was in Bombay and he was the general manager Kumar Swamy. This is nothing more than a cheap call centre trick and I am sure this was one of their collection agents trying their cheap trick on us. I checked my atm account after this call and my account seemed to be in perfect working conditions. The man pretending to be Mr. Kumar Swamy did not even seem educated enough to be uttering such nonesense let alone be the general manager of the Union Bank of India in Mumbai. Whenever we are provided with account details and passwords we are advised not to disclose this information to anyone. This sounds very much like a scam to me and I am extrememly unhappy with this behaviour. I would like these people to take proper action and not have some fake call centre agents calling me and asking me for authentication with their weak logics. This is pathetic on your behalf and an example of poor customer service, not simply poor customer service but to me it sounds like an attempt to commit fraud. I want some proper action to be taken against these fraudulent people. My previous complaint was against the Union Bank branch in Mount Abu. My Union Bank account number was [protected]. I provided my phone number in my previous complaint.

                                        my saving a/c is debited by, 26800 INR, without my knowledge and concern, and when i asked to, call, helpline they don't give proper answer and asked me to contact branch, when i do the same, again miss guided and again asked me to call toll free.Now i am like a pendulum.with a complain no-5951070., against my account debit.
                                        It's really shameful for a old and reputed bank, with such a lame excuse.
                                        moreover customer helpline persons even don't know Hindi, and frequently disconnect line, in such situations.
