Unit Trust of India Mutual Fund [UTIMF] Customer Care's response The certificate no. [protected] mentioned in your complain is incorrect. Further units under the CGGF 86 certificates [protected] & [protected] have been convertd into ARS bonds vide bond certificates 42434515 for 100 bonds and 42434523 for 91 bonds under investor Id no.[protected].

Maturity has already been processed under Id no.[protected] for the above captioned ARS bond certificates. The maturity cheque has been issued and same stands paid to unit holder's bank account at, ' HDFC BANK LTD GURGAON, HARYANA 122001 Savings [protected]' vide payment details are furnished below:

Unit Trust of India Mutual Fund [UTIMF] Customer Care's response In this regard we would like to inform you that, Specified undertaking o[censored]TI and Government of India had decided to foreclose the RUP scheme with effect from 1st April ’04 onwards into assured return scheme (ARS Bond).  The option forms have been sent to all unit holders in December ‘03 to January ’04 to avail maturity/fore closer proceeds under RUP scheme. The last date of receipt of duly filled option form was 16th February ’04.  It was also decided that if no option has been ticked or if option form is not received, it is to be treated as default option for ARS tax-free bonds. Further, these bonds are GOI bonds, issued for 5 years. The maturity date for ARS bonds was 01.01.2009. Half yearly interest due on every October and April @ 6.6 % till the maturity.
 
Accordingly units under the RUP 99 certificates [protected] & [protected] have been converted into ARS bonds vide bond certificates 38148354 for 159 bonds and 38148362 for 160 bonds under Id no.[protected]. The said bond certificates were dispatched to unit holder's registered address, however the same are returned to us as undelivered by the postal authorities.
 
In order to release the payment kindly submit the RUP 99 certificates or any other investment proof and ARS bond redemption form duly filled in all respect and signed by the unit holder S MADHURI. The signature o[censored]nit holder should be attested by bank manager under his official seal mentioning the details such as name, employee code & designation. Also submit the self attested copy of photo Id proof, address proof, bank statement or cancelled cheque leaf.

Maturity has already been processed under Id no.[protected] for the aforesaid ARS bond certificate. The maturity amount of Rs.18284/- has been issued vide payment instrument no.[protected]and sent to unit holder's bank account though ECS at, ' BANK OF BARODA (BOB) S.P.COLONY (SPC) Savings 10838] with settlement date 02-Apr-2009.

All the interest payments have been issued under Id no.[protected] as well. There are no outstanding dues under the captioned investment.

The said bond certificate was dispatched to unit holder's registered address, however the same is returned to us as undelivered by the postal authorities.

In order to release the maturity payment and interest payments kindly submit the RUP 99 certificate or any other investment proof and ARS bond redemption form duly filled in all respect and signed by the unit holder ANWESHA BANERJEE. Under Id no.[protected] we had received the request for conversion and same was processed on 20-Dec-2006. Accordingly units under the ARS bond certificate 38134728 have been converted into UTI-CCP scheme vide CCP Application no. 1216521 dated 26-Dec-2006 for Rs.25690/-.

Accordingly units under the US 64 bond certificate 12094060 for 1282 bonds have been converted into UTI-IF scheme vide Micr no. 479331, Application no. 8128541 dated 01-Feb-2008 for Rs.129570/-.
