I booked ticket in ur universal travels from sirkali to chennai yest(8th nov). Boarding at sirkali petrol bunk around 10.45pm.. I waited upto 11pm.. then called ur employee.. they said bus just started frm karakal nd ask me to wait for 1hr.. I waited upto 12.15.. then again I called.. they said tat, bus didnt came inside nd crossed chidambaram. which s more than 40km from my boarding point.. nd they reply me tat bus won't return and also come nd collect ur money from office 2mrw.. d worst rereply from ur employees.. I ask them to stop d bus nd travel nearly 40km in two wheeler in tat midnight nd catch d bus.. when I entered d bus, they was already a passenger seated in my allocated seat..
What thing s going on ur travel.. and what s d need of pre booking done by passengers like me..
Kindly take necessary action regarding this issue..

Very worst service i have never seen any travels like this. Staff performance is very worst . Buses not quality and neetness. So please try to avoid .

    Yesterday i booked from coimbatore to neyveli they told the bus timing be 10.30 but the seats are not filled they are roaming gandhipuram for about 1 hr for filling tickets, if we ask they are saying that aftr filling the bus only we will go .. Worst travels and then they haulted it for more than 30 mins in salem and 30 mins some tea shop and its new driver who don't even know the route roaming here and there and asking some people and they haulted in virudhachalam for more than 40 mins i don't even know whether it is a travels or parcel serivces that loads have been in bus😏 Worst travels

      Providing Very bad bus service with waiting up to 3hrs in Coimbatore for no reason just waiting for travellers to get out the bus so that he can return. Took almost 13hrs from Pondicherry to Coimbatore and extra 3hrs in Coimbatore. Inappropriate behaviour of the bus crew when asked about the reason. I booked it through redbud . The government or the complaint board is taking a blind eye to these complaints . With these numerous complaints the government is liable to make at least an enquiry instead doesn't even make an enquiry which makes us citizens lose their hope in the government or the complaint board.

        Booked ac bus in chennai...wheras it should reach guindy by 7.30 am wheras it reaces by 9 am...that too non ac..bus looks like a town bus..please do not travel in this bus. Waste of money...sucha cheeting travels in chennai.
        Also bus authorities not attending the calls and once we see them they are not responding properly. They are using bad words to their customers. They are not giving basic respect as well. Please dont prefer this travels to travel.pity is many of them are started to travel in the bus without any arguments.

        Kindly take action as we indians should stop these kind of nonsense thefts.

          We have traveled from tirunelveli to pondy dated on 15th august. I was travelled with my wife & kids (Upper bearth). At the time of travelling your person arquie with us for taking additional one ticket for my child (Less than five years) compulsory... Him self & ktc nagar agency lady was misbehaviour infront of all passenger and collect the amount of rs 500/- without issuing ticket.. He ordered to sit the seat number 14, this seat also lady seat. At the time of dinner time, your person was collected amount of rs 500/- from another passanger & he arranged to sit the same seat number 14. He was unwantedly collected rs 500/- from me. Really i am disappointed your people service... Kindly arrange to refund my extra amount of rs 500/-.

            Universal travels — worst service

            I booked a ticket for a travel from chennai to trivandrum on 13/07/16 by a scania multiaxle bus. the bus was scheduled to leave from koyambedu by 10.30 pm trivandrum reaching time is 8.30am but still not reached trivandrum, was continuosly driving without breakfast. no second driver. how serious universal travel is about the safety...

              I booked a ticket for a travel from Chennai to Mayiladuthurai on 26/05/16 by a Volvo Multiaxle bus. The bus was scheduled to leave from koyambedu by 11.05 pm and we were waiting including families and kids in the road in Koyambedu and the office looks exactly like a work shop. No seats for passengers and passengers are standing hours together on the road in mid night from 10.15 pm to 12.20 am. The bus came by 12.05 am and departed by 12.20 am. The same driver who drove from Vailankanni by 3 pm was continuosly driving without break. No second driver. How serious universal travel is about the safety of the passengers! The bus rashed like anything. within 4 hours i.e by 4 am, it stopped on the highway and I was told to get down and forced to get into SRM bus (Non-AC, Fully packed) citing that for a singly passenger, the bus cannot go to Mayiladuthurai which is hardly 28 km from that location. What a reply . I have paid the fare for travel upto mayiladuthurai and I was asked to get down. How irresponsible universal travel is! The AC adjustment got broken and we were getting chilled air and the journey was horrible.
              as SRM bus is fully packed. I was travelling 28 km sitting in driver cabin. I was blaming myself having chosen the worst bus operator. I will never dream of travelling with universal travels..

                I have booked a ticket from chidambaram to chennai dated 2nd May 2016 in universal travels. Due to last minute update as bus break down, i am not able to cancel the ticket in redbus. I arranged my journey somehow on that day. when i contacted the travels regarding the cancellation of ticket and refund, i was informed that money get refunded after 3 days. I contacted many times regarding the refund, but i didnot get any proper response.

                  The travel agencies in question is universal travels. For a travel of 3 hours the bus us delayed for more than an hour. Furthermore there is no response or prior information from the travel agencies. We book tickets based on the timings u have provided and schedule our appointments at our destinations accordingly. If there is no point in maintaining timings, why even bother to put timings. Its understandable the buses can b delayed but no some prior information or no response from the company is very bad. This is what has happened to me here. I ve to cancel or postponed a very important meeting because of this. I ve been a very regular user of red bus, but this time its really crossed limits. Kindly take necessary action so that passengers like me don't suffer in future!

                    I have booked 3 ticket's in universel travels seat # 20, 21, 22 the bus route was from chennai to sirkali and the boarding time in guindy thri vee ka bus stop chennai was 11.40 pm but the bus came by 12.50 and the condition of the bus was very worst. I was not able digest that very famous travels like universel is having this type of buses in their queue.

                    The bus was breakdown for 7 hours near kalpakkam and they have arranged for a spare by by 8.15 am by[protected].

                    We are booking the ticket's for our family based on the brand name and for safety. But universel travel's is giving up their name with these types of activities.

                      Universal travels is running this bus py-02-k-4496 to bangalore from karaikal with out permit.

                      On 17th apr'16, i was travelling in this bus

                      1. First of all the bus reached virudhachalam 2 hr's late.
                      2. When we reached hosur @ 7.15 am we are all asked to get down and board another bus as there is no permit to run the bus to bangalore (But the ticket was booked and charged as final destination as bangalore).
                      3. After a long debate we boarded the connectivity bus, but again we are caught in attibale as even the connectivity bus do not have permit to enter bangalore.

                      Finally we are all asked to travel and reach bangalore on our own or else after all the formalities rto will facilitate the local bmtc bus to the respective destination.

                      When i complaint to universal desk, shameless universal owner is saying we are not aware of all these things.

                      I need to see a very strict action against to these kind of cheaters. If make sure they pay huge penalties directly to the people who traveled in their vehicle.

                        Very very worst travels. Please dont book. I booked ticket from kumbakonam to chennai. Bus timings is 11.30PM. But the bus came by 2 AM.

                        With my small kid i stand outside. Not for my self there is 50 & more peoples were stand on the way. No response. Nothing. ...

                        VERY VERY WORST BUS TRAVELS I am traveled at MARCH 20TH VELANKANNI to CHENNAI. Bus reporting time is 9 15PM arrival 9 30 But BUS Came in 10 10 PM .. SLEEper seats were WROST. LIKE AS PUBLIC TOILET .. SCREENING STRICH. Not WORK I Didnot Close OVERALL MY FAMILY PRIVACY.                             On 17.01.2015 i have booked on universal travels from nagercoil to neyveli but atlast these has said that bus wont go to neyveli and they asked us to get down on trichy at 2.30 am... Very very very worst service i have ever seen... First i must kick the of the website busindia...

                              Very very worst customer service and poor response from their staff. i had an official trip from chennai - velankanni - chennai. I usually prefer only sleeper AC bus. As my plan was in last min, only universal travels bus was available. form chennai the bus starting time was 11 but they make us to wait till 11.40. No bedsheets, no pillow provided for AC sleeper bus. Return also I booked in same universal travels. 11.01.2016, 9.15 pm is the departure time but the bus arrived only by 10.30 (1 hour late). The travels took no initiative in informing us about late. finally I and another one guy boarded in velankanni. remaining all seats were empty. I thought in mid the passengers may get in . nearly from 11.15 they get into karaikal and stopped the bus for 10 mins break they said, in mid they were calling the passengers from karaikal bus stand calling to chennai for ticket rate 450 rs where I paid 700rs. none of them get in. without any intimation they were doing all this. I really scared as i'm the only girl, there are some 5 to 6 guys their staff were roaming here and there. then by 11.50 they said to immediately get down as their another bus started from velankanni 11pm has reached which is non ac bus. i'm really irritated by their activity. They urged me to get down. I really shouted them, they were telling for only two of them they cant run. I asked them, why the hell then you start the bus from velankanni. no answer from them. kindly don't use this universal travels service

                                  I happened to book in the Universal Travels to ravel from Pondicherry to Palakkad for the jounery on 23.12.2015. The bus started late though it was scheduled for departure by 7.30 p.m.. On the way the bus was loaded with parcels here and there. After reaching Vridhachalam by 1.00 a.m. on 24.12.2015 RTO made a surprise check up. Upon checking it was revealed tat the bus has not taken permit to run. Also the driving licence of the driver was expired well in august 2015. So no permit and licence. Hence the RTO has blocked the bus and prevented the bus for further journey. We all had to get down from the bus at Vridhachalam. Kindly look into the plight o[censored]s who has booked on line. It is also the worst part of this dirty travels is that the bus will run only upto Coimbatore . There have other arrangements which we have to move to the other bus for continuing of our journey to Palakkad, Thrissur, and Ernakulam. The RTO people taking our plight have arranged for the local bus upto Coimbatore. Also there travels have not responded to our calls and has initiated for alternative arrangements either providing new bus or they have taken any pain for withholding the connection bus. I had been charged for this non AC bus Rs. 793/- as fare. The strain, mental agony, etc is too much. Kindly do not allow this type of travels to remain in this world. Also help me to get back my money. This money if you donate to the flood relief it will be of great satisfaction rather than feeding this type of corporates who is making money like this.

                                    Few facts about Universal Travels and Services (UTS): I have travelled in UTS from Chennai to Karaikal and vice versa many times. I used to book in this bus at the last minute when there s no seats available in other bus services and in train. That is I don’t have any other options. In many such travels I face many issues. Not all UTS services are bad, I have travelled from Karaikal to Bangalore and vice versa when I worked in Bangalore. Also travelled once in Kochi to Karikal Bus. All these are good and maintain perfect timing (bug Luggage problems were there). Only to and from Chennai UTS busses are very worst. Below details are from my personnel experience and from my friends experiences. Please go through this if you need to have some idea on the service. Do like or reply if you agree or not. At least it will be useful for someone else. Especially late night service To/From Chennai: 1. There are many pick-up points which don’t have UTS offices or Support person. So no one can make sure that your pickup will be safe. 2. They will send a contact number (Driver) and when you called them, they without asking whether you need to board that particular bus at that boarding point on that time, they will say "Bus is on the way sir, please wait". Whenever you call they will say some nearest place and crossed it. For instance when you are waiting at Anna University for 11.30 bus, till 11:45 they will say it has crossed Vadapalani. But fact will be it might have not started from CMBT itself. (This is true that I faced it one time, I am calling them like that but it didn't reach till 12:30, when I asked one of the passengers in that bus that when it started from CMBT, they are telling it is started at 12:05 only from CMBT. 3. At some calls when you ask they will say "Sir that bus already Crossed Anna University" and it is near Thiruvanmiyur. Later again you fight with them they will say that this is different bus, your bus will come later and give some other number. That time only we will realize that we calling a wrong person. 4. You will be panicked by seeing some five UTS busses are going and yours didn’t arrive even after the pick-up time. 5. When one UTS bus is coming, that attendee won’t say their timing and destination and what seat numbers they expect. Rather everyone need to say their destination and seat number, they attendee will say not this bus. Some used to say that already gone sir. 6. You can see many UTS busses waiting a long way just to swap their passenger due to the reason as mentioned in above case 5. 7. So as a whole many UTS buses (say starting from 11:00 to 12:30 some 5 busses) from Chennai will be near ECR Sholinganallur Tollgate at 1:00 AM to swap their passengers hear and there. 8. There are 60% chances that you will board in wrong bus and need swapping somewhere. 20% chances that you will completely miss all UTS buses along the way. (In out of my some 8 Journeys 2 times Swapped, 1 Time missed the bus completely, in all 8 Journeys the bus came after some 1:30 Hrs of mentioned bus Time.) 9. It is worst that swapping may happen near Pondichery also. 10. As earlier mentioned that there won’t be any office rooms available, you need to sit near drainage and be good food for Mosquitoes there. Your eyes will be paining by seeing buses one by one for min of 2 hrs. 11. When you board, there will be already more than 2 passengers already fighting with the driver or attendee. 12. The attendee and Driver themselves will be fighting in some cases, also with CMBT officials. 13. These attendees and Drivers are very keen on accepting passengers and luggage’s without prior booking on the way to make money. So this will cause in between quarrels and delays. 14. Cabin will be full of passengers and luggage. 15. They will collect 400 (say) as bus fare from advance bookings, but along way u can find peoples (who didn't book in advance) boarding at just 300 or 250, even 200 in some cases. Many decent services like Rathimeena or Parveen or SRM don’t do these cheep business rather they will run the trip with half filled. 16. UTS attendees and drivers will get down at many places and try to sell unsold tickets, like fish market. So you can't sleep until it crosses last boarding point or till all seats and luggage rooms are filled. 17. Since they already delayed the Journey for about 2 to 3 hours, they will run like hell on the way. They don’t care about pits and falls, they won’t use breakings wisely. It will be more like riding in Share Auto in a bad road with full of passengers. Any how they will be some 1 hour late at the drop point. 18. Buses are managed very poorly. 19. Main prime motive o[censored]TS s luggage services, so at the top and luggage room it will have more and so that it will stop in many drop points along the way. There in drop points workers will make noises and you will be getup for sure. 20. They won’t hesitate to stop one service when advance bookings are less and will ask passengers to board in another bus in different available seats. 21. They will run many buses towards south and after some place they will combine two buses into 1. 22. Worst part is when you called some customer care number, they will give one more number, he again will give some other number, and they will say within 5 min I will call you. But they won’t call you when you call again they will say, bus is on the way, please wait. Sometimes they won’t accept call from your number again. Need to call from a different number. 23. Customer care numbers (They say it is call center number) are foolish and they are just sitting in a single (CMBT) office and they will give number of another person sitting next to him. So people will hear busy sound or need to call some other person till they got their bus. 24. If you booked ticket on-line then many UTS office people won’t give proper response to you. In some occasions when there are no people to board in that location, then they will close the shop and go home, won’t accept any calls there after. Simply they have very poor Planning and Co-ordination with money and luggage carriage motive. Not customer friendly or expecting customer satisfactory. My best advice when there are no seats in other services available, then please come by government bus services or take one day leave and start from next day.
                                    1 Star itself is huge for this service provider.

                                      I have booked ticket from kottaipattinam To Chennai (ECR way) for 10th Nov (Diwali day). Bus time is 8.15pm but bus arrived by 9.30pm and driver said sit in any seat which is free we will shift you to the actual bus shortly which seems its not a actual bus i booked. The are picking up all routes in one bus. few passengers are standing.

                                      After 1 hour travel they have shifted to another one bus. The bus condition is too worst. They again started pick up passengers who are not belongs to this route. In the morning 6am next day, bus was parked some where near Chidambaram - vayalur (near Bhuvanagiri). The said accelerator is not working.

                                      We shouted and asked customer care to arrange us a bus immediately. No response from them. again we called and told we are going to complain to police, they replied that ok go to police and we will get bus from police station. What a reply from this stupid bus service.

                                      After long time they told another one spare bus is coming from karaikal. The bus arrived at 9.30am (we were waiting on the road since 6am). Again the bus has some other set of passengers boarded already and we find some seats and shared.

                                      finally we reached pondychery by 12.15pm with 3rd bus. and reached chennai 3.30pm

                                      SHIFTING BUS TO BUS IS VERY WORST FOR TRAVEL AND WHATS THE PURPOSE OF BOOKING TICKET AND SELECTING SEATS.

                                      If in an emergency doing shift of passengers from bus to bus is ok... But UNIVERSEL TRAVELS always doing this way only.

                                      PLEASE AVOID UNIVERSAL TRAVELS

                                        I booked 2 tickets to Coimbatore from Tanjore for a Universal Travels bus scheduled for 11.00 pm. The bus did not come even by 1.30 am. When I tried to call the given numbers but did not get any property response. They left us stranded on the street in the middle of the night.
