I had booked a bus ticket (Sleeper Berth - Berth nos. B2,B3) from Chennai to Vellankani on the 11th Februray from Universal Travels. It was a 11:25 PM bus from the Koyambedu Bus Termnius. ( Bus Registration Number ending with 9177 )

The bus had a problem with the headlight and it was not functioning at all. How can the managment send such a bus without a headlight for a night journey?? The bus was halted at several places and for some point of time one of the passenger was showing his cell phone light to drive a bus ( what a ridculous situation !! ) When we contacted Mr. Anbarasu @ [protected] who works with the travels he said that it would be like that only and disconnected the call and there was no response from them. When we tried to reach them they were either disconnecting our call or they would not respond to our call. The bus was halted a few kms away from Mayajal and a good smaritian lorry driver came to our rescue and told the bus driver (Mr. Devaraj) to drive behing his lorry. We proceded till Kalpakam and the bus was put to a halt in one of the tea shops over there. This happened at 1:45 am early morning. The driver of the bus could not proceed without the headlight and the bus was halted till early morning 5:45 am. When we again tried to contact the managment there either no answer or they were speaking very callously. This is irresponsibitlity from the side of the mangement. After collecting a fare of 920 rupees for two passengers and staying away without responding is really stupid. How can the management act so irresponsibiliy ??

At 5.45 am the driver of the bus bought a torch light and with the help of another 3 passengers from the bus the bus started to move slowly. A funny thing was there was no cleaner in the bus !!

The bus went till Chidambaram and the driver found that bus was running out of diesel. He had to get permission from the so called irresponsible management and after getting approval after 10 mins that bus proceeded to the diesel pump and the bus collapsed without diesel in the middle of the road. The driver tried pouring diesel and the bus would not start due to the air lock. All the passengers were irritated due to the delay and the situation all of them were put into. All the passengers had to take another alternative mode of transport to reach their final destinations paying money from their pocket. When we tried calling these people in the morning there was no reply at all from them.

Why should we pay for all these?? I would want a full refund of my ticket cost and the cost of my travel from Chidambaram to Vellankanni.

I request all of you to never use this Travels ever in your life !!!!!

    I booked a ticket from Ernakulam to Pondicherry via Universal Travels - While booking the ticket it mentioned AC coach adn they charged 650 per head and while boarding they gave a a non ac bus which is not worth for 300 to travel in that bus... and when i call the customer care on[protected] they speak as if they dont know what is happening and asking me to contact the local office, not sure why they have customer care !!

      Hi all,
      I am living in bangalore from last one month and my native is Chidambaram, Usually my travel fare for airbus in Universal is 400 Rs.But the travel peoples in Bangalore are charging 600 Rs for the week ends.And also they are torturing the passangers by the name of special busses, They do have online booking which is not working and they are not considering the online tickets.

      Why dont we have any rules and regulations for the travels..If we have who is controlling it..?

      I dont have any problem while travelling from my native on the same bus, This Bangalore agent is charging peoples more and torturing us.

      Call this number and enquire for Chidambaram ticket for this week end : 25535923

      and also just visit their boarding point on week ends.

      I dont know where to express all my feeelings and also I cant afford with this kind of money minded peoples.

      Refund

      Booking & Ticket nos:UNI1495804 & UNI1495851

      I was booked the ticket on 11/05/16.

      But both the tickets are not confirmed.

      Kindly cancel the tickets & refund the amount for the same.
