[Resolved]  University Of Madras — Provisional certificate/Degree certificate not issued

I am a student o[censored]NOM IDE (A15332UCM6002), Chepauk, Chennai.

I completed my B.Com (Commerce) course in 2019. After dropping an email to The Director in Aug 2020, asking for dispatching all the documents since my course was completed, they shared the final year marksheet and course completion certificate. My original provisional certificate and degree certificate has still not been issued by the university.

After sending multiple emails to the Director, Registrar, Certificates department and Spot Study centre, there is no response. All phone numbers posted by the Institute are non-existing/ invalid.

I wish to obtain my degree certificate at the earliest.

The university took a total of 45 days for processing my application. During this time, only the emails to the Director and Spot Study Centre were helpful in bringing my issue to notice. It is next to impossible to obtain updates from the university. I wish they responded to my emails after payment at least once to know whether the University has actually received my documents and payment. They did manage to send the degree certificate in a sealed envelope with minimal damage. Please visit the university website for the forms and send them via courier. Postal letters and documents will be the only mode of communication for students outside of Chennai.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I have not received my original degree certificate yet. I had made payment for the same on the online portal and sent the documents on 6th April via courier. I have tried reaching out via email requesting an update multiple times but still no update yet.

Kindly issue my degree certificate without further delay.
