1. New Meter installed at my home is running very fast. Even when home was closed for full day, 24 unit was consumed when only inverter and Fridge were running.

2. For this new meter I had to pay Rs 7350/-

And on top of that, electricty department cut the connection when no one was at home. And with no intimation.
It was restored when I did some fact finding and showed them the payment receipt.

3. The bill amount is very high for last 1 month as high as 5000/- Even though consumption has reduced drastically. Earlier average amount used to be 1000/- only.

Meter need to be replaced and I should get back the extra amount charged and I should be adequately compensated for the harassement faced.

    I feel sorry to complaint against people who steal eletricity in gopal nagar , sanjay nagar area bareilly this all act is being done in night time , people take a long wire and directly use main line infront of their houses. This is happening on the main road of gopal nagar. By this all person who are using valid connection feels problem because fluctuation comes.

    First and foremost i like to sorry to complaint against people who always upon the Poll to shuffle their wire one face to another face in Ikram Nagar colony Loni (Ghaziabad) without line men or authorized person. This all activities are done in night time people always change their face. If voltage is low due to which on the poll every day, i would like to say 2-3 time in a day fault is done on the poll by this all person feels problem because fluctuation comes.

    Electricity department has been provide the box for 10-12 connection and locked boxes but now situation is with the boxes all boxes has been destroyed on poll and all concoction (wire/Cable) is plunged on main line directly.

    Please take it very seriously and get the action against such people who always create a problem with the Main line.

    My complaint doc. no. 14406 was resolved promptly. But not fully. We citizen of the area are requires to fix at one sodiam light (high mast light) in front of C-81, 82, 83 Ramprastha Colony, Ghaziabad.

      I am a resident of Rama Krishna Colony, Model Town (W), GT Road, Ghaziabad. Past few months we are suffeing of low voltage problem (dim light). Already most of the time there is no light, and even when it comes, the voltages are very low. Even Inverters not charged and none electrical appliances get works.

Last few months voltage in the row opposite happy world school L-iii 59 to L- iii/ 72 has been experiencing very low voltage and high voltage fluctuations. While voltage in other houses in sector D is good, voltage in the row containing these 14 houses is very poor. May essential electrical equipment dont operate because of this low voltage and fluctuations.
      Right in the heart of the city, such pathetic power situation for many months now is unexpectable.

      Request to please look into it and get the problem resolved.

            The Authorities Concern
            Dear Sir
            This is to inform you that I have shifted to this location on last 16th Aug. 2009. The voltage in this area fluctuates between 110V to 270V. I never find it stable continuously for even 5min at any voltage level during summers. My 26 years old Kelvinator Fridge never faced this type of fluctuation & got damaged during these fluctuations. I had to purchase another fridge. None of my electrical appliances are working properly here. Please look into the problem & arrange to rectify before my new fridge goes bad.

              Mr. K.K.Tripathi o[censored]ttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, Allahabad of Bai Ka Bagh Division is taking bribe from citizen of Bai Ka Bagh area specially from old and aged person in the pretext that their electric load is less than their requirement or some other reasons. During last week (15.03.2010 to 19.03.2010) he had taken several thousand rupees.

              It is my very sincere and simple complaint that at Balrampur House Mumfordganj Allahabad practically everyday there is rostering of light for hours together. On asking from BELI ROAD substation there is never a satisfactory reply and the usual reply is when our officer will let us know we will switch on.
              My only complaint is when it is scheduled for roster why not it is being informed by news paper or else let the staff of sub station know the dates of rostering and time for how many hours, so that consumer may make alternative arrangements.

                WPRWA has been seeking since the past 6 months explanation on how ASSOTECH sold 6636 KVA to all 1BDR + 2BDR+3BDR + 4BDR flats whereas it only had 2941 KVA of sanctioned load.
                We also wanted to stop the collection of FIXED charges on 6636 KVA while paying for only 69,000 (approx) to UPPCL whereas collecting nearly 2 lakhs violating ELECTRICITY SUPPLY CODE 2005.
                Now UPPCL has vindicated our stand. more than Rs a lakh per month is being cheated in the name of fixed charge + almost 1.30 crores collected in the name o[censored]PPCL power connection
                We are keen to now see the reply to the show cause and then take appropriate action against them.
                WPRWA demands the transfer of the BULK meter in the name of WPRWA forth with and refund of extra FIXED charge and interest on fixed charge and 1.3 crores.
                Ms ASSOTECH has to also immediately hand over the 1.3 crores for WPRWA to get the total load sanctioned from UPPCL and provide power at UPPCL rates

                UPPCL is bulk supplying power to Assotech/Absotherm ( builder and his associate)who controls the distribution to the actual consumers (residents/club/cabana/windsor street shops), and collects the charges through a pre paid meter with out providing any detailed bill/receipt with break up of various charges. The amount used to recharge the meter is deducted on various accounts - not only towards the uppcl charges but towards fixed maintenance / common electricity/ gas etc. He can programme it to deduct any amount on any account with out any permission from the consumers. Even after written request no reply is provided. Most of the time the DG Set is found running and the charges are exhorbitant. One has to see to believe the realty. Consumers are mad eto suffer beyond imagination. No one seems to act to protect the rights .

                How UPPCL is allowing a private party to distribute electricity? Has Regulatory Commission given permission to do so? or is it a violation of regulation?

                  Hi,

                  My name is gaurav sharma and I have a house in C Block Ramprastha since last 4 years. I have been facing serious problem with my electricity bill, everytime, UP board sends a bill without even taking reading of meters, I have already paid a bill for some 400 extra units just to settle things and make next time bill follow the right amount but to my surprise, they come back with extra bill everytime, looks like there is no end to the same. Whenever I go to submit bill to the office near Suryanager polic station, they just tell awkward bill and ask to go to Vaishali office. Mr. Junior engineer is least bothered to even talk and the last option that remains is to settle the bill through line man by bribing them and they get everything done to reduce your bill. It is a real sad picture and true harrasment. My humble request is to tighten the people sitting in office so that they understand their responsibility as well.

                  Dear Sir/Madam,

                  Connection No-047702 and Book No-4021

                  I have been facing serious problem with my electricity bill since last two years. Every time UP electric board sends bill without reducing amount which I have already paid.
                  Under registration of a contract (deal), have paid Rs. 1000 on dated 25/01/2008 for which book no is 072693 and receipt no- 20. After that have paid 10091 (ten thousand and ninety one) on dated 30/01/2008 for which book no-007721 and receipt no-37. That time with mentioned payment, I had cleared all my dues but surprisingly in next bill my dues was as it was and bill amount was Rs. 25446, even I have paid Rs.11091 and cleared all dues.
                  Since then till today there is no deduction of above mentioned amount in my electricity bill and due this I am not able to pay my bill. My bill keeps on increasing and I am helpless. Have complaint many times to subdivision and district officers but they keep on replying, in next bill it will be correct. I am listening same sentence (next bill will be correct) since last two years and there is no end of the same. I have tried all possible efforts to get rid of all this but it didn't work and problem is as it was. It’s a real sad picture and true harassment.
                  It is my humble request to take necessary action to resolve above issue. I shall be highly obliged.

                        My self Trilok Singh S/O Sh Naresh Pal Singh(Contact No. [protected]) is a resident of Vill Bandaheri, PO Beerakheri, Distt Saharanpur(247341).
                        The transformer located near our resident has been moved by local SDO and according to the information he has been paid a handsome amount for that by the owner of land where the transformer was there.
                        We are facing a lot of problems as we are not getting proper electricity volts for home needs, we are bound to take supply from 250 mtrs from our house as my sister was not able to do her study.It has been three months since we last use our any of home appliance and no one from the local sub division is helping us.
                        The complaint was also lodged on helpline number.Please do the needfull as it is just like a humiliation for us.

                        from past 10 years i never get the full supply, full voltage for which i`m authorised.apart from that when ever transformer get faulty no body comes to change or rectify the fault.we villegers collect charity from home to home for new transformer.authorised conections are very few but whole village is using elecricity in free of cost.i`cant raise my voice because i have to live in that locality but this electricity board people are sleeping they never given a surprise inspection for electricity theft.now dayscondition is that fom past one month transformer has been removed because as per electricity board a new transformer of more wattage has been sanctioned to my village as on dateits not get fitted and electricity board people keeps on telling that it will take another one month.now childens are facing problems in their studies. the most corrupt electricity board in india.

                        Uttar Pradesh Electricity Board — Wrong installation of meters and transformer

                        UPSEB did connected our meters through transfomer without any MCCB. They had taken directly from transformer output and the distance between meters is 100Meter. If any fault occuer then no triping device is avialble due to this reson the cable, meters or transformer can burn. So i reuest to you kindly instruct to UPSEB for action on this matter before any misshappening.
                        This complain is very positive because i[censored]PSEB any delay in retification then any misshappening can occuer like as fire.

                        We live in 'Ratan Esquire', Chunni Ganj, Kanpur. The electric maintenance in this area is really very bad. There was no electricity from midnight of 18/19 july 2010, and it could be restored only in midnight of 19/20 July, 2010. It is not that only lower employee, who do not attend complaints, I feel that the customer complaint redressal system is not at all a culture in UP electricity dept. I visited the sub station here and could get the number of AE(SDO), Sri Ashok Kumar Yadav. When I called him, he just said that it is being worked on and switched off the phone. After this he did not pick his phone. This was, when the problem was already around 18 hours old.

                        When this could happen in a city like Kanpur and in a prominent locality like Chunni ganj, we may well imagine the plight of other places and it shows just how much do they care for their consumers.

                        This area is particularly prone to faults. Like again there is no electricity since around 19:30 and we do not know the duration for which it has left us.

                        During the recent storm the electricity could be restored here only after around 76 hours.

                        And the KESCO says that Torrent should not come. Well they can not be worse than KESCO.

                          Dear Electricity Board Head,

                          Myself Dinesh living at 5d/1 chak dondi, naini , allahabad-211008.
                          The electricity poll is falling at my house premises at i have many times given written complaints regarding it. i have a copy of same but no steps have been taken yet. once it falls it could damage around 2 lakhs worth of demolition. many times we have complained but no answers to it.

                            Subject - Complaint about the Electricity Board.

                            Respected Sir,

                            I am Devendra Swaroop Mishra, resident of Village- Kandhesi Pachar, Bharthana, Dist-Etawah. Connection detail are mentioned in the last of mail. I have been panalized for the illegal use of domestic electricity(Being used in Photocopy machine shop). So i am charged for 30K as a saman charge and there is a FIR in the police station and they did a fine of 30K as a saman charge .

                            I am ready to pay that amount on 30K of saman sharge but the clerk is asking me for dpositing the amount on 1.6Lakh. I am clueless about that much of charge of 1.6L. Because of this problem UP police has arrested me once (Police want the reciept for the Saman Charge but Clerk is not ready to deposit the same). Now please suggest me how to proceed.

                                I have a house in Indira nagar which is on rent for the last 8 years. It has just come to notice that our tenant has not paid bills in the last one year or more and the bills have mounted over 1 Lac. However, the tenant does not have a problem as he is having an illegal connection which he has himself confirmed.

                                I would like to know what is the procedure to launch a formal complaint and have the illegal connection removed as soon as possible.

                                  I would like to bring to the notice o[censored]ttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. I am having domestic connection in Tronica City Ghaziabad.

                                  I am unable to rectify my problem for last 3 years situation o[censored]PPCL in this area is worst. UPPCL office is located in Indrapuri I request if some senior authorities can visit the office and investigate the situation no one take care of their consumers whereas we are customers. So far I had used only 150 units for which I had already paid around Rs.10, 000/- still outsatnding shown is Rs.18000 I dont know how to resolve the problem whereas no one in UPPCL is resolving my problem

                                  I suggest just see the services of BSES offer in Delhi nowadays everything is online then why UPPCL is not doing it.

                                  3. They are not sending the bill to homes neither they have fixed place from where we can collect it.

                                  Government is changed but still there is too much corruption in Offices.
                                  Maximum gov. employees are donkey...
                                  I went ketmai power house (Dist-Fatehpur, Tehseel-Khaga, Block-Dhata)
                                  There was no Gov. employee, I asked for J.E.?
                                  There were only brokers.
                                  When I asked for connection, they told me to deposit Rs.2000/ for 1KW.
                                  When I asked for Receipt, they replied for Rs.1310/-only
                                  According to them, Customers have to purchase Cable for connection from the market and deposit Rs, 200/- for installation also.
                                  Due to this reason, villagers avoid to take proper connection.
                                  I am very much disappointed due to such kind of officers who is taking such kind of amount from poor villagers.
                                  Most of peoples are ready to take connection (approx. 95%) but due to corruption they go through electricity theft.
                                  I request to UP-CM, Pl. take a strong action against defaulters and I believe we can generate a huge fund via connections and monthly electricity charges.

                                      Every day around 7 p.m. the elsectricity in my house dips so low that fans, light etc refuse to work proprerly. this was brought to the ntioce of the authorities who found that the electric line feeding the area has a faulty earthing system. DESPITE REPEATED request the same has not been rectified for almost a year. Patients, children at home are having an agonising period at home. STUDENTS CANNOT STUDY. SOMEBODY HELP

                                      This is to inform you that it has become a regular feature of Power Failure in our sector 34 for the last couple of years. Now it has become unbearable as the failure normally takes place in the late evenings/ night. It is not that your people donot attend to power failure and even i have been talking to your SDO Mr B M Sharma on his phone no[protected]
                                      who is spending nights at power sub station at Sector 32 to rectify the problems faced by us.We have no complaints and your SDO is totally dedicated employee of your company.

                                      Inspite of all his efforts we fail to understand as to why the power tripping / OCB failure take place, probably substandard material/workmanship of your technical staff may be the cause of power failure.We dont mind schedule cuts but frequent faults erupting in the system is a cause of concern.
                                      Thus we request yourself to arrange a proper inspection of the sub station and ensure uninturrpted power supply to your consumers .We are paying thousand of Rs as electricity charges but totally dissatisfied with the service provided by your department in this sector.
                                      Your department is also loosing revenue by not adequately proviiding power and causing discomfort to the consumers.

                                      We do hope some positive action will be taken at your end to help the consumer and your own department in a way to earn better revenue.

Gautam Budh nagar) of every time because my village is big and power supply is very poor & 2 small Transhformer on 25, 000 population and power line is very poor .and power line is no change, when eletric come in our village (30-40 years). And and we paid bill & we have connection since 30-40 years. BUT power is not comming in my house & we recived a 25, 000 bill by the foult o[censored]PPCL Greater Noida but i have all bill recipt @ I pay the correct bill. AND PLEASE, YOU TELL WHY NOT I COMMING GOOD POWER SUPPLY IN MY VILLAGE KALONDA, our family and my villagers in very maintly tension after pay bill, AND KIND YOUR INFORMATION SOME VILLAGERS USE THE ILLEGUL POWER AND NOT PAY THE BILL and use water moter, tv, cooler etc. WE PAY THE BILL & I HAVE POWER CONNECTION SINCE 30-40 YEARS(WHEN POWER COME IN MY VILLAGE)

                                      This is to inform you that it has become a regular feature of Power Failure in my village (Rasoolpur Dasana NTPC, Teshil Dadri, Thana Jarcha, Distt. Gautam Budh nagar)due to old power line fault and bed service from power supply we recived only 8hr power in a day

                                        Complaints - electricity theft

                                        Hi,
                                        I would like to inform you that the houses near "a-61, awas vikas colony, sanjay vihar, meerut road, hapur-245101" are illegally using the electricity in their houses at night from the pole with the help of illegal wires.So i request you to please check and take immediate necessary action....
