Airtel Broadband — Billing and Shifting

I had shifted my residential premises and requested for connection to be relocated. Airtel did honour that in a few days time after receiving all documentatins. Unfortunately since 6 months i had been trying to get the address changed so that i can receive bills on time and nothing happend. I escalated to their escalation dept., but everytime it was a blanket promise that the bills will reach the same day and apologies... frustrated i disconnected. On top of this after disconnection, i got the bills and the courier representative was showing faces to my family which is the most irritating part. If companies cannot take care basic address update i wonder how they will handle technical problems!!!! God Bless Airtel!!

Hello Sir/madam,

I applied Airtelbroadband connection on 22nd June 2010. but due to unavailability of connection in my area, the technical person has conformed that not possible to provide the connection on 2nd July 2010.
Then i called to customer care and place request for refundable, as per your Mr.Sathya has given ref.no[protected] for the compliant sand had committed that the money will be refundable with 7working days.
After 7days i once again called to customer care Mr.lakshmi and she enquired all the details and put me in hold for 10mins. again i called to the customer care mr.Madhu and attended and given the compliant no 34977834 .
After few hrs i once called to conform my compliant no, but mr.sowyma has attended and she is telling that compliant not relevant to refunable. then shen ahe taken the new compliant no[protected].

Today one person from Maruthi infotech centre called me and said the connection is not possible, after 1hrs one fellow called from customer care and said that connection will be done tomorrows,
what is going on i dont. i thought airtel will be good . but you spoiled the customer expectation.
If this continued in my case, then i will take legal action on this.
Kindly refund my amount 2000 as soon as possible

Airtel Broadband — Narottam Tiwari

Last monday I applied for the Boradband connection through justdial and they quickly connected my call to someone called anand..... and fater his call he said after his call some other people may ring you up for the connection and in that case u will not give ur any details and address.. so i did so... soon after that i received a call from Narottam Tiwari regarding the internet broadband connection.... he said I am directly calling from Bharti Airtel.... so I said of this this is my addres.... you come and completed your paper formalities... as per our telephonic conversation he reached my home after half an hour of his last call..... he explained all details and filled his form and collected a rupees of 1000 from me for the scheme of Rs. 899 airtel unlimited plan... and he said in 48 hours we will give you the connection but it is now 5 days have been passed yet they havent done anything and they are not picking up my calls.... is this the way your airtel company works..... I feel really shame for this sir..... If their will be no response in 2 days I will complaint to the consumer court....

Airtel Broadband — Negligence and incorrect details to take connection

Airtel agent came to my house and given the details of 2mbps unlimited internet connection. Then he collect RS250 ,my address proof and ID proof then he informed me tomorrow within 12 o clock you will get the connection. They gave the connection after 3 days. When they came to connect that agent he told you have only 1MBPS Speed, when I asked he told to check with the customer care. do not worry inform them and within 48 hours your plan will upgrade to 2mbps.then the next day they called me and told that we can’t give 2mbps that is only for regular customer we can give only 2mbps limited connection for you. After some time one guy called and informed the bill detail then told after downloading 15GB then your speed will be 256kbps.They provide all false information to make us to take the connection, when we ask why you are trying to cheat the customer they telling SORRY! I'm Shivangi Nagar. I stay in Faridabad and i have taken Airttel Braodband connection (Scheme #49/- Plan) in the month of May 2010. During that time an Airtel person had come to activete our connection which is on my name. Now due to some reasons I want the account to be tranfered on the name of my husband. Please suggest how to go about this. The person from airtel had promised us that he will help us in transfering the account on my husband name as he has all the documents with him which we had given on the time when he came for form filling. Now that person is not picking up the call and it seems he has disconnected his number. His no. is [protected]. If you can posiibly tell me his new number I would be grateful and also please suggest the procedure of transferring the account from my name to my husband's.

Airtel Broadband — Refund amount not received

Hi,

I have requested for a new Airtel Broad Band connection and my request number 1038223.

I have paid my 3months rental in advance as well.

So far I have not got my connection. For almost 3 weeks I am calling customer care center and till date no proper response.

I spoke to various executives and I have the conversation details too. I have the complete recording of all the conversation

After series of attempts finally got an update mentioning that new broad band connection to my location is not possible and they will refund the amount with in 1 working week.

Its been almost close to 8 working days and I have not got the refund cheque

Its been totally disappointing to see the customer care executive reply to the calls.
Can some Airtel representatives in this forum look into my case and update me properly ?

Airtel is such a big headache, the service given by the customer care executives is pathetic and the seniors over the executives are more . They are so disgusting that they will make you cry but will never provide the solutions.

I have been calling Airtel from last 7 days consecutively, 2 times in a day, first of all it is a pain to get to the customer care as the IVR will [censored] you completely but you will not get an option of how to reach the customer care executives, but if somehow you are lucky enough to catch hold of anyone of them, they are so big dumbheads that they will put you on hold and would come back after ages.

I have an airtel broadband landline No.[protected], i want to get it shifted to a new address, i had filed a complaint with the customer care on[protected], complaint No.[protected] and these [censored]s said that it will get shifted to your new address within 3 working days, i kept waiting for 3 days but i didnt get any call from these [censored]ers. When i tried reaching them again after 3 days, they made me call them twice a day as they used to say that our [censored]ing sevors are down and we will not be able to resolve your query as this time.

And they have been giving me wrong complaint Nos and telling me that our illiterate technicians would surely give you a call today . Its been 7 days today and i have not got any call from them.Everytime i call these duffers they ask for all the information again, i dont understand what kind of system and management are they living in that they have to note down everything again and again.AIRTEL SUCKS BIG TIME !!!

Now today when i again spoke to one of the untrained customer care executives Ms Gayatri.She again had no information regarding what i am talking about . This aitel broadband connection belongs to my office, and i have been into losses from last 1 week just because of these people who dont even desreve to be in their jobs and are taking the salaries for no reasons. i asked her to connect me to their supervisor, she didnt do that and tried to show that she is smart enough to resolve my problem, i provided the complaint no. thrice to her and after putting me on hold for 10 minutes, she came back and said the complaint No. you are giving me is incorrect, we request you to call us again with the correct complaint no. i mean what kind of ridiculous behaviour is this . what are these people getting paid for if they cant find the call logs related to my no.

I insisted her to tranfer my call to her supervisor, he came to the line, such an unprofessional person, he didnt evn bother to tell his name, was a complete and was continously saying to call back with the right complaint no., he didnt pay attention to what i was trying to tell him and he disconnected the call.
These people dont pay any regards to their customers and behave like they are the puppet holders and we, the puppets will dance under them as to whatever they say and so.

Aitel Authorities, if you are reading this, take an action on these customer care executives who have came across my calls, by listening to these calls as they dont deserve this job and ruining your name .

I dont know when my issue will get resolved, because i have to face these illiterate people who dont even know what they are saying everytime i call them .I WOULD SURELY NOT RECOMMEND AIRTEL TO ANY OF MY NEAR AND DEAR ONES AS AIRTEL IS A PAIN.
I would myself would like to get rid of this connection as soon as possible, i would surely take the matter to the consumer court if you people ask me to pay you the bill for this period when i am not able to use the service because of your fault .

Airtel Broadband — Harrasment

I keep getting calls from Delhi Court reagrding soem legal action and unpaid bills. I have written to [protected]@airtel. in but no response. They keep threating me. When i got o Office they dont issue the hard copy of the bill. they tell me that 5500 is pending. But now, when i go and check in the office they are not ready to give hard copy of bill. And lawyer is not listening. What is all this..??

Airtel Broadband — Disturbance

I am not a Airtel broadband user,but my neighbouring hood apartment are airtel broadband users.The airtel had fixed their broadband box on my wall.It is a big disturbance for me.We have planed to reconstruct our wall,so we asked the airtel person who came to repair the box to remove it from our wall.we have asked them several times to remov,when they come they are saying that they will make the changes within days but their is no change for months.So please do the necessary steps for helping me.

Airtel Broadband — taken money in advance and then not providing service at all

I took a broad band connection,from airtel,they took INR 500 from me while istallation,promising me that the money would be adjusted in my up coming bills.
The plan included o[censored]nlimited interrnet connection and 500local calls free,non of the above mentioned was given to me,after two days of instalation,the telephone line went off and the internet never worked.
I complained to th ecustomer care dialling 121,they gave only false promises and after that,threats.

Same here. I fully support you..they just give hollow promises & nothing more. I have received bills even after getting the account cancelled & requesting the same couple of times over the phone...useless executives & their team leaders

This is prasad and I had applied for new airtel broadband 7 days before. One of Airtel executive approached for new connection and his name is Abhishek. He came to my place then I told him to check about port availability and connection. He spoke to his authorities before me. Finally he concluded line is available and you will get your connection in 2 to 4 days. Then I waited for the next day then I have been calling him continuously finally he picked my call and give his manager name to contact him. His name is vishwa. Then I spoke to him he said I will get my connection in 3 days. On third day again I have to call him. He said he will check with technical team. Next day again I called him he said he already spoke to the manager will give me update. Next day when I approach him he said he will give me technical department number you can reach him. I believe his name is suresh technical manager, when I called him he said there are no ports available. Then I have called visha, he said he will speak to suresh then come back to me. He never gave a call. So again I called suresh, he said he will check on it then give me call. He never did. Eventually I am approached to Technical lead Wajeed his number is. He also said he will check then come back to me. After 2 days I have called him, he simply replied we don’t have connection availability.
I have waited for 8 days for all these process and no benefit, time waste, money waste and unnecessary tensions.

I had applied for a connection on 4th Sep on the promise that I will get the a connection by 6th Sep EOD. Otherwise I would have gone for Tata Photon.

I had expected a delay for a day or two, but after calling several times and being assured that the connection will be done in a day I realized that I am being taken for a ride. My neighbours who too have applied for the subscription a week earlier that I are still waiting for any word from Airtel.

After doing a simple google search typing Airtel Broadband Complaints I found several links depicting complaints from many.

And this is prompting me to register a complaint. I don't trust Aittel to deliver my connection anytime soon. Given the way they thwart people's efforts to get transparent view of the status I sincerely wonder what would be the quality of their service.

And seeing so much of angst amongst people, I want to cancel my request and for for something else.

This looks like a fraud and i wonder any regulating authority is monitoring it.

Airtel Broadband — bills

i m gaurav kumar singh. i was the customer of airtel broadband[protected] . i requested for the disconnection of the service , as i had to leave the room on 05/07/10) so i called at customer care and asked them to suspend the connection(request no. 1086750) on 5th july and i went to my hometown.
but when i returned again i got a call from airtel customer care on 11/08/10
that i had a bill of Rs.3500/= . when i asked them about the my request they says that service has been resumed again because their agent verified that mr. gaurav (thats me ) had asked them to do this on the same address ,so they resumed it again but that was'nt me . that day also i registred a request for disconnection (request no. 1161767). but yesterday again on 17/09/10 they called again and asked me to submit the bill of Rs.4500/= , when i asked them they again said me that u had reqested for the change of ownership but i have not asked such thing.
they were blaming on me itself.and said that recovery agent will forcefully get the money from you.
that was my problem i want to it be solved because of it i had a lot of problems.

Airtel Broadband — Re : Plan

Hi all,
I am using Airtel for more than 3 years and being a valued customer Airtel has changed my plan from 2MBPS to 512KBPS without any intimation.I am paying bills every month with out fail.I called customer care on saturday and i was promised that resolution[protected] will be done before same day 13:59:07 and i called at around 13:30 and i spoke to a girl rep there and she hung up the call on me.I called again and i reached same person i think and she gave me a fake complaint # 45201459.I came to know about this when i rang them back in the evening cuz i was expecting a call from Supervisor which the Girl promised me.The issue started from 7th October 2010 to till date and I AM NOT GOING TO MAKE PAYMENT FOR THESE MANY DAYS.
I was promised by Airtel that 2MBPS for 100GB and there after 1MBPS. according to Airtel Fair Usage Policy.
Please look into this case consumer court and protect consumers like me.
I dont have any recomendation nor i dont have any political power/money. so please help me in this.

Airtel Broadband — Refund of Amount

Hello,

I recieved a call from Airtel - sales division (or one of them to whom it was outsourced) for a broadband connection. I mentioned that I have applied before but got a response that there is no connectivity. Over the phone Airtel Sales folks assured me that they had connectivity and sent their sales person to collect the cheques from me on 07-Oct-2010.

I paid INR 1000 for 4 Airtel Telphone Lines and INR 500 towards 1 DSL connection. I asked the sales man again if connectivity is present. He called someone and confirmed to me that connectivity is present.

On 09-Oct-2010, someone called for verification of address and it was done. Now on 12-Oct-2010 - I see that my cheques have cleared the bank account and I get an SMS from Airtel informing their so - called - regret that they cannot provide me the connection as they do not have connectivity.

Checking for connectivity is part of "operational cost" and you should do that BEFORE you collect amount from your customers.

Its amazing that there is no co-ordination between your tech team and your partners/.sales team. I would request that you refund the amount to me latest by 15-Oct- faliling which please pay an interest of 10% per annum on the amount.
