Airtel Broadband — Billing and Shifting

I had shifted my residential premises and requested for connection to be relocated. Airtel did honour that in a few days time after receiving all documentatins. Unfortunately since 6 months i had been trying to get the address changed so that i can receive bills on time and nothing happend. I escalated to their escalation dept., but everytime it was a blanket promise that the bills will reach the same day and apologies... frustrated i disconnected. On top of this after disconnection, i got the bills and the courier representative was showing faces to my family which is the most irritating part. If companies cannot take care basic address update i wonder how they will handle technical problems!!!! God Bless Airtel!!

Dear guy’s need to talk must to consumer endorsement an AIR TEL

Really its good experience and dejected on AIR TELL call center treatment I was face the same problem several times in the AIR TEL, but as specially yesterday night unknown reason’s their cut down my balance package.
nd I did a call n number of times in AIR TELL customer care near by Chennai office and the some r call is also recorded due to proving their quality. No one not response and also not care about their own customer even the superior officer also not response, in fact im the 5year AIR TEL customer, If their treated like in the protocol’s how the customer will believe the product on AIR TEL I don’t know…

AirTel — Broadband bills

This is to Inform you that my name is Maninder singh and I am putting up in Gurgaon , few months back I was in Faridabad and now I have been relocated to Gurgaon (some 6 months back). I was using airtel broad band connection while I was in Faridabad under the a/c no.[protected],its been 6 months now (I don’t even remember my phone number-this A/C no I got from your message only) since I have not used my connection now I would like to tell you what exactly happened
1) Initially I used to ask your call center executives that I want to disconnect my connection. There was no positive response and they kept on insisting that you pay and one of agent will come and will ask form you’re the disconnection application it took 3 months and their agent came and I paid 1900 rupees despite of I not using your connection.
2) Some agent of airtel came to me and I paid those 1900 rupees and I wrote a written application to him that I want to disconnect my connection –he said you write on the plain paper your work will be done and then he went back with my application.
3)3 months after this I get messages from airtel and phone calls that you need to pay your airtel bill –why the hell (pardon for my language) should I pay as I have not used it for 6 moths then I have written an application to you also-the same thing I said to those people who called me and the response was like –Pls tell whom you gave that application.
4) How do I remember to whom I gave that application- my answer would be I gave that application to airtel-that guy was a representative of Airtel?
5)Why don’t airtel have this database that who was the agent who received my bill last time and can tame that guy for his poor work and why they are taming there customer on this.
6) This is so genuine that I payed for 3 months despite of zero usage because of my own genuine nature, but things have gone really up and now this is taking a heavy toll on me.

Airtel Broadband — Very slow net speed

I have airtel 512 kbps plan but i'm getting only 128 kbps .it has happened twice before but it gets restored after 2-3 days but this time it is not . please help me !

I have a broadband connection from last year recently i shift my room afterb that i got slow speed problem my modem not giving fulll strength signal as in my old room i compaint about that but your technisuion are not solve it yet have bill this month . I will not pay this amount till my problem get resolved .

Airtel Broadband — Delay in shifting and not being transparent

Dear Sir / mam,

[protected] I have requested a shifting of this number on 02-Jan-2011. But till date it has not been done. 15-Jan-2011.

The problem is you ppl are not telling whether it is possible or not.

Means shall i wait ? What will be the waiting time ? Whether is possible or not ?

If it is not pssble please let me know.

Airtel Broadband — Story of rude and shameless immature response from airtel customer care

On a real sad note I am writing this complaint but I have been left with no other option.
My account no is 15143422. I am a living in Bangalore and using the airtel broadband from last one and half year. I got the[protected] as landline number in August 2009.
I changed my location in Dec2010 from BTM to Koramangala and transferred my broadband also. I got the new number[protected] on 5th Dec 2010. From that day I am facing so many issues and I raised so many complaints, more than what I had never done in the last 1 and half yr.
First I didn't receive my Airtel landline bill and I filed the complaint#41092832 for duplicate bill. After that also I didnt receive any bill and I called the customer care for the status of my complaint. I came to know that the comaplait had already been closed without confirmation from me.
But I raised another complaint #41447326 for duplicate bill again. And luckily I got the bill on 6 Jan 2011. And the mentioned no on my phone bill is[protected]new no)
I tried to pay the bill online but came to know about one more issue.
1) At half of the places in database still my no was [protected] which is my old no and at other places it was [protected](new no).
Because of this I was unable to pay my bill online. So I raised one more complaint #41677000 for syncronization of database and not able to do the online payment (as it is still reflecting the no under Ankit Srivastava and by easy bill payment it is showing not a valid number) on 7th Jan 2011, 8 a.m and whose resolution time was 8Jan 2011.
On 7th Jan 2011 when I returned from office, my phone was dead.
And on Saturday, 08th Jan I got a phone call from customer care for the resolution of complaint. He told me that my no is[protected]old no). I narrated him that I transfered my phone and got new no and whatever he is referring that is an old number. Then he asked some stupid questions from me. 1) Is the transfer of line has been completed? 2) And who gave you this number? I explained him this is why I raised a complaint to synchronize their database. and also told him my phone is also dead and raise another complaint #41883374 for my dead phone line. He replied that I will get back to you and never received a phone call from him.
From the last one week I am receiving a call from customer care regarding complaint #41677000 and I am narrating the same story but no one is properly working on this.
I am fed up of this whole procedure and customer care is disturbing me in my office also but not resolving the problem.

I never received any call for my dead phone complaint. But my internet was working.
The real problem started today (16 Jan 2011 ) afternoon when my internet got disconnected. I called the customer care , and the story that follwed was more hilarious as well as frustrating. The lady who attended us , Lingamani, first refused to accept that the number for which I have been registering and complaining about doesn't belong to me and raised another complaint with the complaint #41995158 for the situation, that is our phone number is mismanaged and it has been dead for the past week and the internet is also not working. Besides this, the tone and the handling was utterly immature, where firstly she tried to put the blame on me for not getting the things resolved before and then putting the blame on the lineman people for not attending the complaint earlier. Also, she gave an ETA of 6:18 PM IST of 16th January 2011, i.e. today evening by 6:18 PM. In the meantime, she did told, rather challenged me many a times that do whatever you can or want to , we won't do anything else. In a sense challenging us to goto court if we want to. To top it all, after some 5 minutes we got another phone call from the Airtel people itself saying that because of non payment of the bill our connection has been disconnected permanently.
Now I am not able to understand who is responsible for nonpayment of bill. Is it me who raised a complaint for the payment or airtel department who didn't resolve it. Instead of that they disconnected my line.

Airtel Broadband — Unhealthy Practice!

I have observed of late that the company airtel has been following a very unhealthy practice...!It is using its market popularity and base to harass its consumers.
I have a broadband connection by airtel from the last 5 years.The term unlimited means its limitless and airtel cannot put caps on it.It violates the contract since the plan base is changed by this policy change.
I feel that this policy, under the garb of “fair usage” seeks to essentially place limits on ‘unlimited’ plans and is one that will wipe away all your goodwill in the market in one fell swoop. this is a tremendously regressive move towards Internet usage in India. As it is, it’s a shameful situation that our country, which is world-famous today for its Information Technology industry, has some of the slowest broadband plans in the world. While the world is upgrading to Gbps connections from Mbps connections, Airtel and other ISPs are still content in feeding the Indian consumer Kbps connections, and now believes that it has to even degrade those outdated plans. To add salt to the wound, policies such as “Fair Usage Policy” now seek to drive the last nail into the proverbial coffin and seal India’s fate to be technologically inferior to most other countries, including other developing nations.

Airtel Broadband — Unnecessary hassle and calls for customer care

Dear sir,

This is state about the very bad customer service provided by the AIRTEL BROAD BAND.

I have taken broad[protected] in the month of august.The sales team executive sold the plan of 599 and promised to install within two days but to the height of nonprofessional we have to wait for 15 days for the installation and the same was done after regorus followup's and there also he install the plan of 799 with a promise that he will rectify it in a month or so.but after follow ups and calling we are not able to get the plan as promised.We stopped payment and the complain was simultaneously raised and from the collection department the deal was compromised for the waiver for 400 rs/- and letter on the surplus amount given by me.

The settlement was made with the collection department executive Mr Vikas at Noida.

The follow ups continued for the collection and daily 5-6 calls were made from various airtel offices without having knowledge of the actual status.

This is very painful to explain the same scenario time and again

Kindly act and do get me compensate on the same.

I am really sorry to say Airtel calling itself as a brand is not really bothered about its customers. In fact, i have been calling to 121 from last 18 days, i always receive a message in my mobile containing the service reference numbers but i don't receive any response calls.
I m fade up of following airtel. My bills payment never gets delayed ever. We are so helpless that we can't do anything except calling 121........

Airtel Broadband — duplicate billing

I paid for a broadband scheme from Airtel in October 2010 and I was entitled to broadband services for one year. I paid in advance and no other payments were to be made. From the very next month, they started sending me bills and harassing me over the phone saying my bills haven't been paid and they were going to cut off my connection. Imagine my shock the next month when they said I owed them nearly Rs 10,000!

What has happened is this: they have registered two numbers to my address. I didn't ask for it - I wanted only one connection and paid for it with the advance. However, the bills that come to me come from another account number - [protected] - not mine and every day, I get calls from the airtel people in Bombay and Pune saying that I have not paid my dues. I have paid till next October so if they have registered a number wrongly to my address, it is their fault, not mine. The people who call are either so stupid they cannot understand or they've been told to harass me, thinking I will pay.

All I have asked them to do is this: if there is an account and number like that, why don't they call and find out who it belongs to? I've told them it isn't mine. Or is this some kind of fraud Airtel is perpetrating to collect more money? Either way, it sucks!

Airtel Broadband — Unable to send emails while using Airtel broadband

We recently had Airtel braodband installed in our office. We find that we can not send emails ( while we can receive emails) while using airtel broadband. At the same time, there is no such problem while using MTNL broadwand or Reliance. This problem pertains to email in the format """[protected]@companyname.com"""

Finally when Airtel engineer came to check the problem, he told me that I have to subscribe to a 'Value Added Service" (Sic!!!) called 'Airtel relay' by paying Rs. 49/email id!!!!! plus taxes.

This is ridiculous. If the basic purpose of sending and receiving emails can not be completed using an Internet connection.

Airtel Broadband — Speedway below what I subscribed for

Hi .. I got my internet connection yesterday. 2 Mbps plan. I have not been getting surfing or download speed for over 512 kbps .. mostly it is around 200 Kbps to 400 Kbps ... I called in today and complained and ran a speed test with the agent. He was not satisfied with it either and raised a ticket. The service number is : 43463690. It was supposed to be done by this noon. I got a call from the technician and he started arguing with me saying if you are getting 2 Mbps on ncr.airtel website then its not our problem ... and I was so if that is giving me 2 mbps speed but I can't browse any other websites .. its not your problem? I can't even play a single youtube video without it buffering ever few seconds. This is not the kind of service I am looking for from Airtel and I better have my subscription cancelled if this is the level of service Airtel has to provide. I can not watch any movies either. I have gone for unlimited plan with 2 mbps speed on my Airtel Land Line number:[protected] .. I called in for the second time a few minutes back and explained my situation again and asked to talk to a supervisor .. i was put on hold for 15 minutes and then got hung up on.

Its a shame to see such a level of service from Airtel. I used to boast about Airtel giving a good service to people. I guess I was wrong after my experience.

Airtel Broadband — Billing Problem

Hi,

I had a airtel DSL + landline[protected] connection with Rs. 799/- pm unlimited plan. I have applied for shifting of connection as I was moving to new rented house. The new house is just one street away of the previous. I have raised a shifting request on Nov 16th. While raising the shifting request I was told to carry all the equipment to new house. The connection was given at the new house. But, not activated. After many calls, I was told that connection at the new address is not feasible due to unavailability of ports in that area by the hardware engineer of that exchange. I have told the same guy to terminate the connection and take the equipment back. He said yes. So, from Nov 16th itself I don't have a connection at all. But, I used to get the bill after every month. I have raised the concern over this. For that, they said they will rise waiver and I don't need worry any more. The billed amount kept on accumulating and reached around 2500. Then they started reacting. Some body from airtel came to my house asking that they will reactivate the same number (all of sudden, connection is feasible at my new address) and give discount for future too. But, it did not happen. I have called up the airtel customer care several times and explained every thing that happened. Few of them said we will raise a waiver. Few of them said they will raise a waiver. Few of them told me to pay some discounted amount. As I was told that I will get the new connection if I pay par of the amount, I did that too (Paid charges for the used period on pro rata basis + Rs.639 extra). But, strangely they started telling me that ( which they never told in the past 3 months) you have to pay 60% of the charges atleast with in 30 days of the bill due date, as you have not paid it with in 30 days waiver got rejected and you have to pay the full amount. Absolutely different from what the other executive told. Mean while, some body from AirTel bill collection department came to my house and behaved like any thing, said we will send you legal notice and left.

All this story is happening from last 4 months and really really got frustrated to the peek. AirTel knows that I haven't had a connection at new address and there is no usage from the old connection. Even then they are playing with me. They just want to hole the pocket of the customer. They are just acting as computers (which takes a command process with out any thinking) not as humans. Even when I tried to explain it, they were talking to me as an IVR, not as human executives. I would really thank any body who can help me out in this regard.

Airtel Broadband — Deactivation of my broadband/ landline bearing no. 01204270531

I have been using your services (Broadband) since 2008. In September, 2010 i installed your IPTV service also. However since then i have observed drastic increase in the bills sent by you and infact there is no record of my last pay ment made in January, 2011though i have the reciept of the same. Therefore, i contacted your executive on 04.03.2011 and requested him to de-activate my connection bearing no. [protected]. In view of the above situation you are requested to de-activate my aforesaid connection on urgent basis.

Airtel Broadband — Re-installationof Broad Band to my New Address Never Done

This is to complain that I have been a faithful Customer of Airtel Mobile Broad Band and Digital TV since so many years and I never expected so much of trouble from their end. I had a Broadband connection from them

I shifted my location within the same colony and placed a request for re-installation on the new address, after I place this request I made 1000s of call to the engineers who called me up and the cutomer care but all I got is reference numbers and callback confirmation. I was completely harrassed by Airtel Broad Band deaprtment as after so many calls and request they gave me no Broadband inspite of being there old faithful customer. I called them Finally and asked them if they want to give no Broadband to me they should better disconnect as I cannot pay a bill for using nothing. instead of taking any action,they disconnected my broadband. Also everytime I called customer care they just use to put me on hold for 15-20 min and disconnect my call.

I was so happy with Airtel services but after this experience I am very dissapointed with airtel. Please help as I need this connection with my original offered plan back. Thanks!

Airtel Broadband — SPEED SCAM, CHEATING

I am writing this mail with a feeling of extreme dissatisfaction and I feel cheated for the kind of service provided by Airtel broadband.

I have a 4 MBPS connection (upgraded from 2 MBPS in Dec 2010)

Today I checked my speed and it shows 0.5 MBPS. This means I have been paying 2000 rupees a month for a service that probably costs 500 Rupees.

Dear Sir,

I am Raisuddin want to inform you that i am using[protected] Airtel Broadband from last two months, after several complaints nobody look after the same nor anybody come out to resolve this problem.

I am using this connection but speed is very very bad always not able to download anything, always disappear pings, connection broken problem. From the first day i lodged many complaints no.44124774 they always told that the complaint no. will be same and we will send the engineer to solve this issue.

Whereas i always give payment on time but unfortunately Airtel people not giving me proper response and respect as a valued customer as they said.

I am always feeling PAIN when browsing the internet, i am using new computer with new internet cables and modem.

I think Airtel people are very cleaver and greedy they only want to sell the connection and dont want to look after the problems of the customers.

Please help me to rectify this problem, if they are not able to solve the problem than i will not pay a single penny to them.
