Airtel Broadband — Billing and Shifting

I had shifted my residential premises and requested for connection to be relocated. Airtel did honour that in a few days time after receiving all documentatins. Unfortunately since 6 months i had been trying to get the address changed so that i can receive bills on time and nothing happend. I escalated to their escalation dept., but everytime it was a blanket promise that the bills will reach the same day and apologies... frustrated i disconnected. On top of this after disconnection, i got the bills and the courier representative was showing faces to my family which is the most irritating part. If companies cannot take care basic address update i wonder how they will handle technical problems!!!! God Bless Airtel!!

Airtel Broadband — intolerable as usual

Dear Sir,
Airtel continues to give very poor broadband connection although we pay quite a high amount for the broadband. The company will never improve.
Why do you shame yourself like this? why not give your customers a little better service. We are not asking you to give us a connection as fast as what you get ibn other countries but at least a decent speed? Cant even watch a serial without buffering and stopping for 100 times in a 21 min!
Can you ever improve your service?
I am not at all satisfied with airtel's response. Even after I have described every thing crystal clear, I did not expect the same response. From Nov itself I did not have connection. But, I was been charged till date by airtel.

Airtel Broadband — Inflated and Overcharged Billing

I have an airtel broadband connection (account number[protected]. I am sick of their billing. My plan is 1099, but I am getting a fixed bill in the range of Rs. 1550 every time from the last 6 months. Every time they add something or other to make the bill of 1550 like 2-3 downloads of antivirus, gaming downloads etc.
This is just ridiculous and fraud.
I am a software engineer and I am the only one who uses this connection. I know what a download is and it can never happen by mistake. But this issue has been consistent from the last 6 months.

I have complained so many times but to no avail. They just say they will rectify it next time. Their customer service is never helpful and all they say is we will waive off Rs. 100 (after they have overcharged me Rs.400)
I am not the only one as I can see on this good site that so many problems are facing this problem.

This is my last warning to them, otherwise I will switch to another broadband company and will never ever use their service again.

Airtel Broadband — waiver not given

one agent came from airtel broadband and i asked him to download antivirus but i told him to down load that antivirus which is free of cost and he also said to me yes i will downloading that antivirus which is free of cost,and in my bill i was charged 400 rs for that antivirus,that not my fault and i will not give single money for that,i m using 3 connection i will disconnect all if i will charged for that,so pls give me waiver of 400 rs for that..

still not any weiver given to me they are saying to me pay 400 rs otherwise i will disconnect your connection thats not fare and their way of talking is very baad...

Airtel Broadband — Termination OF Services

Consumer Complaint Team,

It gives immense agony and anger to bring to your notice, that Airtel customer services is absolute hopeless and irresponsible. Having experienced the horrible customer centricity of Airtel wasn’t enough for me; I ended up taking their services again. Here, I raise my voice again. In spite of having notified the customer service for discontinuation of Broadband Services on 08/02/2011 04:00:06 PM, today on 16th April 2011 I sit here sending this mail to you.

I don’t understand are these person/people/human(Bharath Kumar & Veena R) sending the mails on behalf of an organization like AIRTEL, or bunch o[censored]neducated, uncivilized & irresponsible who have no other work other than sending standardized COPY/PASTE replies to customer?

When I overpaid one month’s rental in advance to the account in intention to close the account and notified a month before disconnection on the 8th February 2011, for which I have received a confirmation as well. Mail given below:

That's the company’s Nodal Offices response, completely automated, scripted and standardized. It is almost like several patients approaching a doctor for several problems such as fever, cold, cough, stomach aches, headaches, heart attack, etc; he got only one medicine for all as it is the only medicines name the doctor knows. Airtel Broadband — after disconnection charging the bill

they told me that your complain is not registered properly they disconnect only phone system not broadband.

Please support for this.

according to this plan call charges are 60p/min, but you are charging Rs 1.10/min. Pl. clarify this confusion.

it is brought to your kind notice that i brecd one call from ur collection centre for payment which was due on 28 march and i paid the payment in cash vide their receipt no.5934871 on dated 10.04.2011 for rs.1500 but in spite of payment made my phone was disconnected on 26/27th april,2011, when i approached to your airtel counter at pusa road, they informed rs.3128.00 are due to be paid, i deposited Rs.2000.00 vide their receipt no. ca10449826M dated 27th april, 2011 and paid Rs.1132.00 vide their receipt no.ca10450146M dated 27.04.2011 by cash. I am sorry to mention that I paid cash and three receipt are from airtel but my my connection was disconnected and activated next day after my repeated requests, I would like to ask the refund of my over payment or be adjusted into my new bill.

Airtel Broadband — Ref no: 10936474

Hi,,

I had cancelled my broadband connection in order to take the Airtel IPTV connection. However, the Airtel retention team member called that they would offer me a better plan at a lesser cost and i could keep the connection..

However, I explained him that since I was taking the IPTV from airtel i was not needing the connection. But this man insisted that he is going to put my cancelled connection on 205 plan which will be weaved off after 1 month if I continue to use the IPTV. So, i said ok.

This is when all problem starts. After the 1st month o[censored]sage I see that airtel sends me a bill for 205. I spoke and explained about the weaver with lot of pain because the phone agents are real dumb!! They have not idea of what a customer speaks.

After this I have waited about 2 months and I called today. After 27 mins of call i was informed that the amount is waved off, however it has been deducted from my refund amount which i am supposed to get after cancellation. On insisting more explanation, the line is disconnected by the agent. I was surprised that they DO NOT KNOW the meaning of weaver as the money is disconnected from the refund i am yet to get after 3 months of disconnect.

Can someone from Airtel look into this and do something?

Airtel Broadband — There is no or low connectivity

The broad band connection on my phone no. 41651799 is not working properly. The msg says'No or low connectivity".

I tried contacting Airtel customer care executives a few times on 11th May 2011. After punching necessary keys on 121 & 198, got a recorded message"All lines on this route are busy. Try calling later" and the phone got cut.

Airtel Broadband — Lack of Informing extra charges

To the concerned person,

The airtel service "impatience 799" for 2Mbps broadband has cost me a bill more than Rs 5000!!!! because the customer care centre did not inform me the extra charges for surfing n browsing .... they only mentioned so n so charge per MB beyond usage limit..... they never mentioned for surfing n so its obviously assumed that it is for downloading.....

The connection never warned about exceeding the usage limit of 5Mb download .... not even a pop up on my computer screen .... its as good as robbing the customer off their money! .... i used to get a pop up for the unlimited plan before ... its weird and sly to warn for the unlimited plan n not bother warning the customer for the limited plan.

And if i call for asking to change the plan in two days.,... the customer care executive didnt know how to handle it and he said "your voice is breaking... please call back later" ....

I do not wish to waste money .... please change the plan as soon as possible or cease my internet connection.

Airtel is seriously making fool of there customer from past 7 monthos i have been facing billing problem as per my plan night usage is unlimited for me but these people are charging the night usage everymonth it has become a new job to call the cusotmer care and get the waiver, 3 times i called Appellate officer even they are not interested in solving the issue, if any one using the airtel and paying the bill amount blindly you are making a big mistake as there has been a lot of forgery happening in the billing please be care full shame to see a company like airtel do these kind of things shame on them customer care is and even the management

Airtel Broadband — No Service. No communication. Broadband down for 6+ days

Airtel was good in Service.. but seems like Airtel is sold to BSNL.

I have a complaint raised on June 2nd Night, The issue is not even checked or attended from last 6 days.

I have recalled airtel to inform "no action" atleast 8 times.

Airtel is loosing its position as a great service provider.. They dont understand people are paying a premium price to get the service & not because of the branding :-)

This is a bad indication of Airtel getting into a normal Indian company mode - of less service more money !

I am furious that escalations don't work - no intimations, no apologies etc, , ,
