Even though I do not received any reponse from customer care,

STOP USING THESE STUPID BANK CREDIT CARDS.

ALSO - KEEP RS. 1000 AS ADVANCE PAYMENT, THEN THEY CAN NEVER CHARGE U ANY LATE FEES.

ALSO, WHEN YOU MAKE PAYMENT, CALL THERE CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE AND UPDATE THE PAYMENT DETAILS.

ALSO. TALLY YOU BANK ACCOUNT STATEMENT WITH ABN AMRO / ICICI CREDIT CARD STATEMENT, THEY ALWAYS UPDATE DATA AFTER 3-4 DAYS. THIS WAY THEY CAN CHARGE MORE LATE FEE AND FINANCIAL CHARGES

ICICI Bank Ltd. — Un-wanted Charges

I had a ICICI current Account from 2006. After 2006 I check my statement and found Debit Card annual Fees 100/- +ST and Cess 2007 and 2008 same charges coming from bank. and 2009 i got 275/- when i call to customer care but not get the proper reply from customer care. I am using HDFC from last 7 year but HDFC is not getting this type of heavy charges. Please check and do the needful.

I work on a Cruise Liner. 9 months back before i could leave for my trip. i had asked ICICI Bank to convert 32,000 rs which i had due on my credit card to be converted in 6 e.m.i so that i can pay it conveniently for which they readily agreed. after 6 months when i came back i realised that they had already deducted more than 37,000 rs from my account and on top of that when they did have anymore cheques to withdraw anyomre money from my account, they kept sending me credit card statements where they had added 5,000 rs onto my bill and they kept adding 600 rs every month on to my account saying late payment fees. I was all confused when i sent an e-mail to the bank manager. He said that i will have to pay the money no matter what. I refused to pay them the money. Now they have sent me a mail saying that i have to pay them 6,600 rs anf that they have already informed CIBIL and RBI to blacklist me. I just dont know what to do. I do not want to be known as a defaulter but tat the same time do not want to pay that money. can anybody tell me how to deal with this situation?

    Subject: Credit Card Grievance

    Hi,

Please find required information for CC & revert asap to close this
    issue.

    Name: Arun K KK
    Credit Card # [protected]XXXX

I had very miserable, frustrating moments with ABN Amro Bank for my Card # [protected]XXXX

During the months of September, October & November, 2008 I received unsolicited calls from ABN Amro Credit Card department requesting to avail a Holiday Package worth INR 4500/- and I have been phone stalked on numerous occasions and bugged me all the time to subscribe to the package, while I was traveling, at home & at office. After several warnings on not to call me, they have not heed to my words.

ABN Amro Credit Card agents even convinced me that once subscribed they would send a brochure which contains all necessary information regarding various options included in the package. They even assured me that if I'm not satisfied with the package they would refund the amount with out any charges. Sheer out of frustration and compulsion I had to subscribe as there is always an option to deny the proposal.

I informed ABN Amro Credit Card Agent that my account would go over-limit with this transaction and informed to wait until the due date, despite that I was charged on the same day.

I have not received the brochure as they promised that it would take no more than 7 working days. When I called the Credit Card department, they transferred to another team which takes care of promotions/ offers. The agent said that they cannot ship the brochure until they do not receive the Credit Card payment for that transaction (INR 4500/-), however, I said that when you have already debited INR
4500/- from my card how come you cannot ship the package, after arguing, I insisted to cancel the request and suggested to revert the transaction. To my utter surprise the agent denied me of doing that
and he claimed that the transaction was placed purely on your request and approval, so they cannot cancel the transaction. The agent was very harsh on me during the call and when demanded, he said that even his team leader or any superior cannot revert the transaction, however he suggested to payback only INR 1500/- and they would charge INR 3000/+ towards cancellation charges & other charges (said they have already paid to concerned Holiday Package Vendor). I outright denied the option and warned them I will not be able to make any other payments towards my credit card; however they did not care much.

The irony is INR 4500 was debited, as per the agent transaction is complete and the package would each in 7days. And I really wonder why they were waiting for my payment to be made before they could ship the package?

Realistically speaking, they should not have hold back the package.

I had literally miserable experience and they have made false promises and cheated on me.
On due date, 27th of November, 2008, I received a call from[protected]‏ threatening me to make the payment immediately and started saying I've involved in fraud and misuse of the card. I would like to get an explanation on what basis you judge I've committed fraud? There was a third person who was on the call, who entered while I was insisting for explanation to cool off things. Good that I've recorded those two calls which reflect how good your Hindi speaking Agents work for you and I've ample proof to show case the *customer service* offered to the customers. And I've a call which would make ABN Amro Bank accountable for and I need an unconditional apology and compensation for pestering. I would submit these call recordings to appropriate authority, if no resolution offered.

    My key objectives:
    * I need an explanation on fraud & misuse of the card
    * I've committed as stated by your reps. And what basis you judge a transaction as fraud ?
    * Revert the transaction of 4500/-.
    * Cancel all the overdue, and interest charges levied starting from that transaction date.

    Regards
    Arun

ABN AMRO Credit Card — HARASSMENT & FALSE PROMISES

    Dear Sirs,
I am T. SASI KUMAR from Hyderabad, with ABN AMRO CREDIT CARD NO. [protected]. I have been a loyal customer since so many years. In the recent past I have observed that the behaviour of the persons is very embarassing, humiliating, harassing and highly irritating also.
Usually I make payment by cheque with in the stipulated period. In the event of delayed payment the late fee, etc. would be charged. This is a regular practice, which I am aware.
In the recent past the persons are making false promises like waiving off the late fee, interest, etc. and are collecting the cheques and these cheques are also deposited very late, not promptly. As a result once again the late fee, fiance charge, etc., everything is being charged. Why should they make false promises?oN 23RD DEC'09 PAYMENT OF 10, 000/- IS CREDITED AND ON 29-01-09 PAYMENT OF 6, 500/- HAS BEEN CREDITED.
Immediately from 1st Feb'09 the person introducing himself as RAHUL some times, Rajesh some times, Mahender sometimes, have been calling from Chennai. Why should they chase me like that? Am I a thief, am I a Cheat or am I running away? Why they are harassing me so much?

I am getting calls from Chennai office[protected],[protected], [protected], etc., and Hyderabad office some times[protected], [protected], etc.,

The persons do not turn up at the time of appointment given. They come as and when they please, and make heavy pressure. On[protected] a person by name Mr.Kumar Yadav came to my residence without any appointment or prior permission. Only when the family members said that they would lodge a police complaint, then only he had gone away. On 22nd Feb'09 when a person who introduced himself as MR. Mahender called from Chennai my wife had informed that I am out of station and would be back in 2 days. Totally on 22nd and 23rd Feb'09 till now totally 5 times they have made phone calls to my residence and have been abusing my wife. I am taking this very seriously.
I am getting so much fedup, that I want to give up and say GOOD-BYE to ABN AMRO CREDIT CARD.
Let them waive off the late fee charges and the finance charges, I would go for some loan and clear off for one time settlement and would say GOOD BYE ONCE FOR IN MY LIFE TO THIS CARD.

I request for the help in this regard for which I SHALL BE HIGHLY THANKFUL TO THE CONCERNED AUTHORITIES.
    Regards
    T. SASI KUMAR
I fully agree with you and support that they should not misbehave like this with family members. It is very bad on their part. They should be dealt with sternly. They should not harass the family members that too when the concenred person is not available. They shoud not come without prior permission and it would amount to tresspassing. You can lodge a police complaint. When your record shows that every month you are making payment, this type of harassment is not to be tolerated at all.

      Dear Sir,

I received a promotion call from ABN AMRO marketing executive that they are giving a gift voucher or coupons for 30% discount on makemytrip tours, and they said that this will be charged as and when we use. But they have debited an amount of Rs.5000.00 in my card which was not intimated to me on 29.03.2009. When I knew this I immediately called the customer service and checked and I told them the fact, now this is arguing with me that i have given the confirmation to debit, but I am very sure that I did not. He offered me a discount of Rs. 1250 on that amount and said it will be reversed. Which I dont want to accept. Apart from this they have also put a overlimt charge for the amount 600.00. This is absolutely a fradulent practice and I never expected this kind of double standard.

Now i need to file an official complaint on ABN AMRO where they claim that they have my voice recorded, which is not true.

How do I proceed, Please help.
All promotional sales calls should be banned or compulsion should be made for confirmation in writing for commitments made while selling the products. All banks and Insurance Company's are taking undue advance of the lapses in the system.

        Dear Sir,

I was an employee of ANB Amro Bank, Narinam Point Mumbai. I Joined ABN Amro in May 2003 and resigned on June 2007. My initial emp code was 6359 and later on it changed to 10254.
After asking about my pf account no to my employer they informed my emp code is my pf account number and the amount has been deposited to PF Trust of ABN Amro Bank.

Since then I am continuously following with ABN Amro but they are not showing interests to return my PF; I have submitted pf withdrawl forms twice to ABN Amro but no reply has been given.

Few days back I called ABN HR and they informed that my notice period balance is due as I left the organisation with lesser notice period. Here I want to inform that I left the organisation as my reporting boss was not supporting in my business and wanted my resignation.

        My question is
        1) Can ABN Amro hold my PF amount against my Notice period balance due?
        2) I resigned ABN Amro as my boss created mental pressure to resign then why Notice period question arrissing to pay PF balance?

Request your strict action against ABN Amro to release my PF dues.

        Regards,

ABN AMRO Credit Card — Late Payment charges without any purchase

          Hi,

I had a new ABN AMRO credit card delivered to me, as i had lost my old card. The charge for issueing the new card was Rs.100.

Firstly, i was not informed about this nor did i get any call from the bank regarding my payment pending, and when i called them to close my Easy Loan on the card, i get to know that apart from the loan amount i am supposed to pay another Rs.1758.74 , which they are charging me as the late payment as i did not pay Rs.100.
So, i am being charged around Rs.450 per month as the late payment on the Rs.100 that is pending.

Request you to advice in this regard.

          Regards
          Manoj.
          Hello

You should have enquired about any charges yourself.I am sorry but you would need to pay all the pending dues.

          Thanks
Even i have been holding an ABN Amro Credit Card from past 2 years and have never faced such issues. If you call them up and explain scenarios asking for a reversal, they are always glad to reverse the finance and the late payment charges. It has happened with me personally.

ABN AMRO Credit Card — Wrong Late Fees Charges Debited

Late payment fees levied on my above card in Feb '10.

The customer care officer claimed non-receipt of payment inspite my confirmation that the cheque was dropped within the due date. The same cheque was later sent for clearing in April '10, showing misplacement initially by the bank.

Bank is refusing to reverse the late fee of Rs 409.62 and finance charges of Rs 97.49.

The details of the cheque are given below for your ready reference -

          1) Cheque no.155103
          2) Dated 18.1.10 for Rs.500/- Drawn on Vijaya Bank, Alipore Branch, Kolkata.

Now a days, they are saying me that I have some dues and I need to pay, then they will cancel. Actually, I am not getting that why I will pay my dues when I haven't used that card after my cancellation request(24th Feb 2006). This same question I asked them but they informed me that all dues are only due to late fee. But I want to inform you some points -

              1. On 24th Feb 2006 I requested ABN Amro customer care executive (by phone and mail) for canceliation of my credit card. But my call was dropped in between and after that I tried 2/3 time then also same thing was happened. Their repsentative asked me about reason and many other thing, I informed her about my problem but she was unable to give me any information. Then I sent a mail to ABN Amro card services.

              2. In March first week, they called me on my cell phone and at that time again I told them that I want to cancel my credit card and also asked why the other amount is coming into my bill, but that person was unable to give me complete information.

              3. In March I paid all due bills as I requested for cancellation on 24 feb, then again in April new bill was generated, then I called them again and requested very gently that "please cancel my card", and then after also in April I paid bill. Then I felt they are not hearing my voice, and I have to take an action.

              4. I went to ABN Amro bank branch at MG Road, Pune and asked about my request status but they told me that for credit cards queries, I can contact them through phone-banking only. And really at that point of time I was totally tensed that why I had taken credit card, I pormised my self not to take any credit card in future.

              5. In April Mid I called them again, then they told me that for cancellation you need to cut your credit card into piece and drop that in drop-box with signed application. And according to there instruction I did. But after one month they informed me about my dues of April and May and wanted that I will pay. Then I respond them that I already sent you cut card with signed application, and asked them "How are these dues came?". And they informed me that they didn't get any cut card. In this case what can I do, if they are not getting any envolope from their own drop box.

I have all proofs of whatever communication I did (all mail and written communications). They are using rough language and mentally harashing me. I am completely in pathetic situation. Please help me.

ABN AMRO Credit Card — Credit card non cancellation

I have cancelled my ABN amro credit card No.[protected] on[protected] through letter in Banjarahills Branch, Hyderabad, AP. and got ther acknowledgement on xerox copy of the letter. In that letter I mentioned to cancel my card and health insurance which I paid for 5 months.(Mandatory is only 3 months). After that everymonth they are sending bills with penalties and fines. Now they are harassing me and thretening me that I am going to face bad consequenses if i will not make the payment. Everytime I am asking them to send the statement. If i spent a single rupee other than cancelled insurance I will pay. but they are not sending any statement. Please stop harrasing me otherwise I will go to consumenr forum with credit card cancellation letter.

                Dear Mr. Trivedi,

This is in reference to your email dated February 25, 2009.

We express our inability to offer you settlement on your card as well as loan account.

We wish to inform you that we have reviewed your case and have observed that although you have been making the payments for the transactions incurred by you, the payments on the account have not been satisfying the outstanding balance on your credit card and hence there is an accrual of finance charges.

Please note that late fees are levied due to non payment of at least minimum amount due within payment due date. The finance charges are levied due to non payment of total outstanding within payment due date.

We express our inability to reverse any charges on your card account.

We would like to inform you that total outstanding on your card account is Rs .41, 817.09.

We will like to inform you that Late Payment Fee is charged if either there has been no payment or a payment less than the EMI amount is received by the payment due date.

We will like to clarify that the easy cash loan was offered to you at an emi of Rs.4, 679.00 . This formed the tad on your account. However since we did not receive the payment of the amount due, late payment fee has been levied resulting in an increase in the TAD.

Since the subsequent payments have not satisfied the total amount due this has further lead to the levy of the late payment fee.

We express our inability to reverse late fee on your loan account.

You may also quote the reference number:[protected], in case you need any further clarification on the above resolution.

The same thing applies for me ... first they charged Rs 5500(approx) for the same reason stated here, then I talked to them ... but in the next statement they added the late fees and service tax ... then again I talked ... they reversed the service charges in the next statement retaining the original amt and the late fee ... again I talked ... then they revised it ... retaining the late fee in the most recent statement.
                    My card no. is [protected]
This has been going on for the last 5 months. Most horrific thing is - I never applied for the scheme, yet they charged the amt to me !!! This is continuous harassment.

Even after the involvement of RBI to control the recesion problems, banks like ABN AMRO still taking attitude to make suffer the cutomers.even after giving lot of directives from Finance Ministry to the banks, we find that the banks are still not reducing the home loan interest rates.

Though SBI PLR as at 1st Jan 2009 stands at 12.25%, ABN Amro Bank is still maintaining ABN PLR at 12.75% . Please mkae aware about this facts to all cutomers, so that people should aware this fraudness of banks

This is true. ABN AMRO home loan rate is very high compare to others bank.

Intially ABN AMRO offers low INTEREST RATE to attract customer. Many hidden condition in loan agreement. Interest rate increased whenever they like to increase.
Never come down easily. Customer Relationship Manager is not upto expected.

Beware of these fact before taking loan from ABN AMRO
Yes. Even today (mar 2010) the floating interest rate for the existing customers is 12.25% when all other banks are offering in the 9% range.

                          Beware of such private banks.
I agree even in 2010 the rate of interest has not decreased and there is no provision of reducing the interest rate either. Many banks are offering schemes to convert the existing home loan at lower interest rate. Its very frustrating, these banks are big time cheaters and frauds. RBI should take action against them.
ABN AMROs grievance redressal page sucks. It keeps on throwing incorrect entry and the page has been created to frustrate the consumers. I tried 15 times but could not enter one grievance. OMG... is this the way these companies work... horrible. http://mail.abnamrobank.co.in/gr/grievance_redressal.asp
I completely agree with whatever mentioned in the prewvous posts. I deeply regret my decision to go with ABN Amro (which is now RBS). The interest rates are way above normal rates and there is no ONLINE facility to know how much is pending/paid. Last week, I went to prepay some portion and I was just made to stand for 30 mins waiting, writing cheques and answering their questions. They did not even have a seat to offer (Bangalore, UB City branch). On that day, I had asked a simple question on how many installments are pending. They franatically searched for 10 minutes and came back and told that "We will get back to you".

Take over by RBS has not changed anything. Infact, it imade customer experience worser
I totally agree to your point. RBS Bank is doing daylight robbery. .They treat customers like stray dogs . I happened to go to their looting department (officially named as home loan section ) for preclosure of my loan . I had to STAND for AN HOUR for my turn (There are no chairs !!! Poor bank officials should be treating their guest at home in similar manner for they know only to loot !! ).

The only time I have seen them talk politely was when there executive approached me to go for the home loan with them .
At RBS Home finance section you will only find some mechanical roberts who does'nt understand anything about interst (infact they are trained to pretend so) . They have only one response for any querry "NOT POSSIBLE" .
Friends, if you have self respect and value for your money never ever go in for any sort of relation with RBS

                              Dear Sir/Madam,

Few years ago I used Abn Amro bank credit card. I made the payment in time but due to the bank mistake they credited my payment late. the result of this was that they charged me interest & late payment. but I had made the payment in time & that was not my fault & I sent many mails to bank to the bank but received no reply.
Then there collection guy started teasing me & to get rid of them I made the payment.
Now that was not my fault & even then I made the extra payment & the bank has given my name in cibel default list.
You can check I had a lot of card & I made all the payment accordingly.
Plz sir look into the matter.

I have been provided with incorrect and false informantion regarding your 4 seasons offer by ABN AMRO bank and my consent for understanding of the offer was misutilized as my consent for accepting the offer. I was even told that this offer is valid in places like Mumbai and Delhi, but when I checked it with the bank's site it was completely different from what was told on the phone.

I immediately called the customer care (date 06/02/2009) about this foul play and repeatedly asked NOT to charge or commit this transaction on my card. Despite the assureance from the customer care that no charges will be levied, I am charged with offer price.

Even worse was when I called the customer care to enquire regarding the charges, I was informed that there was no request placed for the cancellation of the charges.

The same case happened to me in last month when one of the representative of ABN AMRO BANK called me & misguided me & forced me to take the benefits of the offers of Rupees 9900. When I confirmed the recording of the call & charges he gave me assurance that not even a single rupee will be debited from my account. So I made the transaction & they have deducted the money of rupees 9900. When I called to cancel the transaction they were refusing the same. But I promised them boss you will call me & return my money with sorry.

After that I mailed to RBI(Reserve Bank of India) on [protected]@rbi.org.in & [protected]@rbi.org.in on the above mentioned mail ids So I got the response from the RBI & they have assign one man MR. YASHWANT AMIN who was dealing with RBI on behalf of ABN AMRO BANK in the ahemdabad region. So he immidietly took the action & I got my money back within 1 month, So friends remember har dady ka ek dady hota hai. Bank is not like chor BAZAR.

So make familiar with the banking system & get your money back We are not earning our money to for others.

i had a card and got a settlement of 115000 for the credit card, this was for 6 monthly installments. i could not pay the last installment of some 20000. then after a month on an agency called info services representing them come and tell me that the balance amount is converted to EMI scheme and then pay 11000 for 4 months. i paid three months, then i got suspicious and asked this guy (Prashanth- prop) for a written commitment stating that with the last installment my account comes to a close. then this never happens and he kept saying trust him.
then i managed to get the nos of some ABN guys -direct and they confirm that this is and nothing like this is going to happen.
now they said they are applying for a fresh settlemt and the mena time the agent is harrasing me for min payment and the bank has no clue.

                                    please suggest

Sir in the year 2006 I was offered this credit card by telemarketing guy of your bank and I was told that this card is absolutely free and no charge like joining fee or annual fee will be charged. But after receiving this card and on the first stated I was charged of joining fee and taxes. So I called your bank and asked them to discontinue my credit card I was asked to return the cards back by cutting it in four parts which I did. After that I use to still get the monthly statement so I again request to your bank as I was not using by credit card as I was discontinue . I was promised that it will stop and no dues were left. But now after 3 year I have come to know from cibil that I have some outstanding with your bank on my above credit card. So on 18/11/09 request no.[protected] to send my my latest statement as I have not got the statement for last two year and even request your executive to settle down my due so that I can payoff and have a n.o.c. from your bank to submit to cibil. I was told that I will receive a call in next four day. I waited for four day and as I didn’t receive any call I called back o 23/11/09 request no.22428451 I was told the same thing to wait for four day. But I didn’t revise any call .than I request again on 27/11/2009 but same result so I called today i.e. 4/12/2009 request no. [protected] and I have been asked to wait for two more days for the phone call. I will request please. Please let this be the last time. I want to settle my due as soon as possible so that I can get an n.o.c. from your bank. So that I can have clear statement with cibil.
Hope my request will be process as early as possible with positive results.
                                    Regards

                                      Dear Sir,
I have received a Credit Card of M/s ABN Amro Bank in the month of April 2007 and after that in any months I not received any statement of account, and I have the due amount against the amount as stated by the customer care in each and every month before the due date, But always lodged the complaint at the time of payment to the collection Ececutive as well as the Executive of Customer Care.
In the month of September 2008, it has come to my notice that I may collect the statement through website of the Bank, and then I collect each and every month the statement of my Credit Card.

To see the statement from July 2008 ( Before July 2008 statement were not available in website ), it has found that there were so many liabilities debited into my Credit Card Statement without any consent of the concern matters as well as for against that liabilities the finance retail charges, late payment charges, overlimit charges as the case may be were also debited in my account. The totral unwanted amount comes to Rs 19435.14 ( From the period July 2007 to Jly 2008 ) plus I want to know the facts and figures from the first bill April 2007 to June 2007 as I have not seen the statement of account of our Credit Card. After repeated request an amount of Rs 4, 973.20 was reversed and the balance amount comes to Rs 14, 461.94 is still pending for reversal.

About more than 25 letters were being sent to the Customer Care through e mail as well as through Courier also, and in the last, I have decided not to use the credit card in near future from December 2008, about two or three calls daily received on mobile and threading me to pay the amount and in reply when I asked them to send the statement, they always said I have to use only verbal discussion instead of any written reply.

It is requested that you may enquire and asked to ABN Amro Bank that he may send me the copies of Statement from April 2007 to June 2007 as well a prejudise necessary action to solve this problems may be made at the earliest time, so that I may not be harressed more by the Bank.

                                      Thanking You,

CREDIT CARD COMPANY IS VERY VERY VERY IRESPONSIBLE
This is a common scenario with ABN AMRO credit card service. I've used ABN AMRO credit card in 2006 and retured it to the bank after paying full due amount and tearing the card.
Next year i.e. in 2007, they issued me a fresh credit card wihtout asking me. I retured that card without using it. Now they are saying that, there is a due amout of Rs.8600 (Rs.695 of purchase and interest on that from 2007 till date). Now they are calling me every single day.
I've also tried to contact their regional office but there is no response from their side.
I would suggest everybody not to take any credit card offer from this bank. Rest is upto you.
