I received a call from abn amro bank -card divn -delhi, {10 mts back} that my card has been upgraded to Platinum card, & there is no fee or charges for that..
Later, again I received a verification call from the same abn amro bank card divn delhi, saying that if i opted for the offer i need to pay up Rs.3000/-!!!
This is Cheating...!!!
Please do some thing...I donot want my card to be upgraded then...

    Dear Sir

    I, Jatinder Lamba, settled all my dues as discussed with your employee and received a settlement letter dated 22nd Feb. 2007.

    Serial Number : NR 8202
    Ref : NBA[protected]

    My Credit Card number : [protected].

    It was settled in Rs.24000/- in two installments.
    Initial Payment Rs.10000/- and balance rs.14000/- in April'07 as discussed and written in settlement letter.

    I paid the amount as per the commitments but till date I am receiving the calls from the collection agencies.
    I have sent the fax to your collection agencies many times.
    I showed the settlement letter to the executives whenever any one comes to me, but no one turns back after seeing the letter, rather a new person or new collection agency turns up with the demand of payment on behalf of abn amro.

    I have been mentally harassed by the collection people and i am tired of telling them that I have settled the payment.

    So kindly look into the matter. I do not want any disturbance in my life from the collection agencies on behalf of abn amro credit cards.

    I have issued a cheque (Indian Bank) on 1.08.09 for my ABN AMRO Master credit card, but it is not debitted from my account till now. Please process it as early as possible.

    ABN AMRO - Credit Card — Calls for payment harassing

    This is a strange thing -- I have not used this credit card -- they issued a free card as I'm a member of a Club, the following year they sent a billing asking for annual fees, , I called their customer support and as per their advice cut the card and dropped it in their ATM box... 3 or 4 years back.

    Till date they call me and harass me for payment - I don't know why initially I have explained to the people that i have never used your card, but now it is irritating. they even call home and speak rudely to the ladies at home.
    So kindly help me with this situation - I do not even have the Card No.

With respect to this i want tostate that i hav also recived same type of notice by Advocate, MR JITENDRA K. Zha on 20/9/2007 but iwant to state with regret that the said matter was settele by Bank Collection Officer, Mr RANA ROY In between MAY2006/ JAN2007 Who was working with Pune Branch but he could not manage or get&forward to me clearance leter from his concern authority since till today though repatative fallow up with him at his Pune Fatima Nagar branch now he might be transferd to their GURAGOAN or any other branch.The concern should give me his detail trace or ask him to rember the case history&should stop these mental harassement to arrange clearance certificate& to stop further gugallary activities.In addition to this your high court advocate canot given his &your contact preson phone nos.SO GOD SAVE ME from this.

      Greetings:

      I own a ABN AMRO credit card. There was a call from ABN AMRO stating that I have a preapproved loan of 50000 rupees and the repayment for this is 2500 rupees (approx) including 160 rupees insurance, so totally within 2700 rupees (approx) for 24 months. I refused the insurance, but was told that it is compulsory for the loan security purposes. I did not get any loan from them, but the insurance amount alone got deducted from my credit card account. I called the bank and enquired them, but was not given any proper reply. I told to cancel the insurance, but was told that cancellation charges of around 450 rupees will be deducted. I am losing money for no reason. I was literally cheated. I think I have been trapped for insurance using the loan scenario. Please look into this.

        Respected sir/madam,

        I would like to bring it to your kind notice that as per the RBI guidelines no bank is authorised to resort to harassment of any consumer through recovery agents (third party).

        Inspite of the above mentioned the ABN AMRO bank has voilated the law by sending two recovery agents at my doorstep at 8:00 pm, yesterday[protected] demanding to clear the credit card dues.

        Inview of this it is to inform you that I do not hold any card from ABN AMRO and the credit on this card is not in my knowledge, even though if the bank is holding me liable for the credit dues I therefore demand some significant proof from the bank against which the credit was exhausted by me. Moreover, I have not been receiving any credit card statements duly from this bank on my permanent address for the last 10 years now.

        All the details would be submitted and presented by me in person if required by the concerned authorities. However, at present I would request the authority to please look into my case and safeguard my public image which is being destorted and damaged by the bank. Thanks.

        ABN AMRO Bank Credit Card — CREDIT CARD DUES

        Sir/madam,

        I had taken a Freedom credit card of the ABN AMRO Bank no XXXX XXXX XXXX 6170 valid from 03/07 to 03/09 but they have upgraded my card without my permission in ABN AMRO Gold card xxxx xxxx xxxx 6947 and closed the freedom card A/c.

        So they have levid upgradation charges for ths same, when i have not paid the upgradation charges to the bank they have charged me the late fee for it.

        After the complain to the customer care executive they have reversed the Upgradation fee but not the late fees.

        Every month they are charging the late fees and the amount is stands on Rs 2008.

        Plz look into the mater & help to settle the A/c and close the issue with bank.

          I had availed a Personal Loan from ABN Amro during 2004, had some issues with last few installments. Eventually during Oct' 08, their Recovery Team came up with a Full & Final Settlement for 10000/-, which i agreed instantly & settled by DD, which was also mentioned in the F& F letter given to me by the Executive. For the last 15 days i have been receiving calls from Delhi no. stating that an amount of 25, 000/- is pending. When i mentioned that i am in receipt of F& F letter from the bank, the guy informs me that the letter is only for Prinicipal amount & not for the interest portion. When i tell him i cant help him, he tells me that he would send the collection guy. When you get a bit irate on the line to him, he threatens saying that he would publish my name in CIBIL, which would tarnish my image. Funny that there is no Site, where we as citizens who have sincerely cleared our outstandings, can Blacklist these banks. Someone can tell me how to handle this situtation.

            I am having ABN AMRO Freedom Card. I noticed that one transaction has been made to Make My Trip which I never proposed to do.

            The whole story:
            Some days before I got a call from a person on behalf of Make My Trip. I was informed that they are giving some offer and to avail that offer, I have to contact the MMT. After that I received a courier with one voucher saying some offer worth Rs. 6500/-. It has been mentioned there that if I want to avail this offer then I need to call MMT to a Phone Number.
            In this whole period of time I never called MMT or any person of either MMT or ABN AMRO bank. Today I got one message(sms) saying that, "Your card bill of Rs. 5515.00 with due date 27/07/2009 has been sent & will reach you in next 7 days." After that I checked my cards online account and found that one transaction has been made to "MMT Money Saver Fee" which I was not aware of.

            ABN AMRO Bank Credit Card — Make My Trip Transaction

            I am having ABN AMRO Titanium Card. I have noticed that one transaction has been made to Make My Trip which I never proposed to do.I put a compliant for this issue (Compliant No : [protected]) and the response from the bank was not good.

            Some days before I got a call from a person on behalf of Make My Trip. I was informed that they will send a MMT voucher and a scratch card.Till now I did not get the MMT voucher or Scratch card.So without receiving the voucher or without getting my confirmation the money has been paid from my credit card account.

            In this whole period of time I never called MMT or any person of either MMT or ABN AMRO bank to avail this offer. When I checked my cards online account and found that one transaction has been made to "MMT Money Saver Fee" which I was not aware of.
            I have been debited in my credit card a/c with Rs. 5000/- on 26.04.09 for the Money Saver Offer. I also have been issued offer voucfher no. AADH 5301612 valid for 7 months. When I approaached makemytrip.com fsor booking I was told the voucher is not valid. Kindly clarify as to why slince I have alaready paid the amount through my ABN Amro CC. I feel there is fraud going on.
            I strongly agree with Sagesh and I have faced the same situation as Mrs. Prabha M. I have not received any prior notice or call for such a scheme and all of a sudden, I see MMT Fee of Rs.5, 000 + S. tax charged on my bill. When enquired (Complaint No. [protected] dtd 23rd July) i was told the concerned team is not able to be reached and i was told that a call back has been arranged. Also when i mentioned that my due date is just approaching, I was told to make the payment of bill less Rs.5, 515 which was towards MMT fee.
            On 25th July, i received a call and was informed that I have agreed to such a scheme and I would have already received a voucher. I informed them that I have not received any voucher and in the first place I have not applied for the same. And the response to this was RIDICULOUS..!!! I was told that since the voucher has been purchased by them on my name, I will have no choice buy PAY. I was told that ABN will reduce Rs.1250 from the Rs.5, 000 fee and i have no choice but to pay Rs.3, 750. The tone of the customer service lady was rude. When i informed her that this is not the way you talk and force the customer to pay, she hung up the phone. Pls advice what needs to be done in this case, as i am not very well used to credit card operations and frauds...
            I strongly agree with chandra kanth. I've also got the same kind of issue as mr chandrakanth had. Pls. help me. what should i do.

              There are several mail sent by to ABN AMRO credit card division and they are avoiding me to speak directly and they are harassing my parents and harassing my family with all unethical words they are cheating the customer badly in the name of settlement.

              There is a person call prasad number is [protected] or [protected] or [protected].

              When I sent a message to the support department they are not ready to listen to my problem but they are asking me to pay the money and I strongly believe that the bank is also encouraging this and making it as a regular practice.
              Please me the how to get this problem resolved.

              I have started getting calls to my parents home in my native that too on the middle of the night and you people are harassment has started in a bad way and they are already sick and even after me giving my contact number and change of address several times I have been ill treated and harshed by the bank purposefully and they are not contacting me directly and every time they are calling my parents and irritating me even after me telling them repeatedly.I have mentioned in all my mails saying that I need a chennai contact person where I can go in straight and get this problem sorted out but no one is ready to do it and I have been cheated by this bank third time in the name of settlement.

              And my parents are been thrown with all kind o[censored]nethical words and rough talks by the banks.

              I have been repeately saying that I have done the payment as per the schedule which MR.Prasanth has informed me and please check with Mr.Prasanth and get back to me on the matter.
              I have atlast asked him he has told me clearly and there is no out standing and since its a year end the Service request will not be approved and once its been done he will be in a postion to close the card that what is been intimated to me.

              I think this is going on in a loop and no one from the bank side is taking any initative to address this issue in person on the phone and solve this matter. Only written communication is going on. I dont understand the confusion behind it.

I asked customer care for the reversal and i got only 200rs reversal and when again in the next month i gave a call at ur customer care they ask me to pay the amount which is reflecting in the statement u will get the reversal in the next statement I have paid the entire amount which was reflecting in the statement but i didnot get any reversal on it. And then in the next month i deducted whatever late payment charges applied to me and i have done the payment of my EMI which is of 4362 and from that month each and every month im asking for reversal but i didnt got any help from ur customer care only im getting calls from ur collection team
                And Im not going to pay a single penny of late fee in my loan amount I want the reversal of all the late fee which is been applied to me because after that i have never done any kind of late payment to u
                And in this month also im facing the same problem i havent received the statement till the date and my due date is on 6th of every month

                Abn Amro Loan — EMI Penalty after 2 Years !

                Hi,
                The worst ever experience you can have with a SO called multional bank. I had taken a personal loan in Dec 2005 and kept on paying regularly all the time. I missed one payment in Jan 07 and they called me to inform that the payment is missed on ECS, i deposited the money immidieatly and asked them to confirm. After my loan got over in Dec 2008 I asked for a NOC for which i came to know that i was suppose to pay a fine for the missed payment 2 years back !! No one informed me at that time neither i go a letter stating what amt I have to pay.

                When i called to complain i had the worst exp with their call center agent where i was even denied to lodge a complaint and not allowed to speak to a supervisor.

                Please take my advise and never ever deal with ABN AMRO BANK in your life. In case you do DONT EVER CALL THEIR CALL CENTER.
                ABN AMRO is the worst bank anyone can dream of. Not one staisfied customer till date. I had some horrifying experiences with them dealing with the Home Loans. Started off with 7% and in a year and a half it was 13% (Yes, amlost double!!) and during the same time I heard new applicants being offered @ 8%.

                Such things can happen only in India, that in spite of repeated requests by the public no action has ever been taken to curb such irregularities by the banks.

                More reasons why banking with Nationalised banks is the best bet!

                  I had taken a credit card from ABN Amro Bank on 26.8.2004. the card number was [protected]. It was supposed to be a free card. but after one year they had charged renewal fees i.e, the annual fee of Rs. 500. on seeing this in the statement i had complained to the ABN Amro Bank customer care and informed them to cancel my card immediately. the complaint numbers are[protected] and[protected].

                  But they have not cancelled the card and been sending statements to me asking me to pay the amount which i have refused as i am not using the card. I have paid all the amount for the transactions i have made in the 1st year. and there is no amount pending from my side.

                  I would like this to be resolved at the earliest.

                    You are simply turning a blind towards the fact that I had dropped this cheque on 2nd May 2009.
                    I had paid finance charges in the past a well, so I am not against finance charges but Yes suerly I will not pay due to no fault of mine.

                    I would suggest you to give some kind of receipt to the customers who drop the cheques so that such arguments can be avoided.Anyways you don't want to reverse - tell me how to deactivae the card...????

                    Note - I stick to my decisssion of not paying the extra charges I've been talkin about so shall only pay whatever balance is applicabe at the time of cancellation.

                    The reply from Ms Sarita Pacheco indicates only the standard operating procedures of the bank which we all know.

                    Seek clarification on the following:

                    1.) When you clear your cheque drop boxes daily then how the cheque dropped on 2nd May got cleared on 13th.

                    2.) Why the retail charges from the statement dated 17/05/09 were not reversed along with the late fee. Had you done that there would’ve been no previous balance, so no question of late fee in statement dated 17/06/09.

                    3.) The late fee, retail charges and over limit charges in the statement dated 17/06 is all due to the previous retail charges not waived off along with the late fee.


                    I am looking for a resolution not a copy and paste process note of bank.

                    Let me know my new outstanding after reversal of all charges and in case bank fail to do so I shall pay an amount of 41398/- + service taxes before next due date to settle the accounts.

                    Let me make it very clear that any new extra charges levied due to the previous accumulated extra amounts will not be paid by me.

                    I am even ready to surrender my card in case you don’t have a way out – But it would definitely be rooted to bitter customer service experinece which I will share with others.

                    This is the first time ABN AMRO BANK has hard-pressed me to use readdressal - level 2 facility to get my issues sorted with the bank.

                    Apparently I’ve been using ABN credit card for over 2 years and not even once I had to face any kind of service issues. However there were few instances where I was falsely promised rewards as a part of some promotions but that’s alright as long as I am not being charged for something which I had not asked for. Another thing I like about ABN is the ease with which I can access my online account.

                    Just for your information I have been very regular with my dues and you may notice that on most of the occasions I have paid my dues well in advance or have even overpaid many a times.

                    This particular case has disappointed me as a customer: I’ll explain statement wise
                    STATEMENT DATE DUES CHEQUE DROPPED ON AMOUNT REMARKS
                    [protected].8 2/5/[protected] The cheque was dropped at Big cinemas, Pune, cheque drop box 4 days prior to the due date but due to the negligence of the bank got cleared late
                    [protected].12 NA NA Bank charged late fee of (650/-) and finance charges (1139.3/-) which I am not ready to pay because the payment was made in time and therefore no finance charge should apply
                    [protected].7 NA NA Bank reversed late fee from previous bill (650/-) but did not reverse the finance charges from the previous bill which was promised and on top of that charged another late fee of (350/-) along with new finance charges of (967.9/-) and the worst part is over limit charge of (600/-) which is again no fault of mine because my total spend on card for that month is only (41398/-) which is within my credit limit of (42000/-), over limit is due to the previous reversal not done and the new extra charges




                    From the shown events I can only understand that the Bank is choosing customer’s money over the loyalty.

                    Let me reiterate that I am not going to pay the followings:

                    1.) Finance charges in 17/05 - 1139/-
                    2.) Late fee in 17/06 – 350/-
                    3.) Over limit in 17/06 – 600/-
                    4.) Finance charges in 17/06 – 967/-
                    5.) Any service tax charged on the sum of the above


                    Please reverse these charges and send me revised charges to be paid before next due date.

                    P.S – I did not even receive my statement dated 17/05/09 on my billing address

                    iam srinivas and using abn amro credit card from last 2 years, realy i ashamed to used this card, bekas their caustomer service is very very poor that never seen in my life like before, whenever we are giving complaint or request they are not following instead giving false promises, if we ask any query to 5 time to call centre then u will recieve 5 different answers,
                    while iam closing the card i asked the cal centre they said u having outstanding interest of 40 dhs, then i again called evening on the same day then they said 60 dhs , then i went sheik zayed rd branch, they u have to pay 80dhs to close the card, then finally i paid 100 dhs to close of my card.
                    wng i asked the rep. when u will reverse the money if i pay excess amount then they telling we reverse this amount after 3 months with ur requst

                    my statment due date 3.07.08 but still abn amro bank received the cheque 10.07.08 after the due date,

                    However, now getting the next statement today, we were charged a late fee plus finance charges.

                    I called Chase and spoke with two customer service reps.

                    They both told me there is absolutely no way that my fee and finance charge would be removed.

                    I explained that this has NEVER happened before and that I thought it just good business for a

                    company to give the customer a break given the circumstances.

                    I explain that I have already paid, call up the customer care and register a

                    complaint the executive says that every thing is ok and he will forward the request

                    and things will be settled.

                    Are u running bank or doing some mafia activites of sucking human blood(money). We are earning money by our hardworker and paining ourselves. So each paise is very important to us and we have all the right to ask you.

                    But your customer service persons putting charges against us for their mistakes.

                    I hope this mail is being read by a person who has good soul and know the customers value.

                    Pls take necessary action against this complaint and reverse the charge which was stated in my account statement.

                    This is bring in view that i have been receiving several calls from your Noida collection dept that i have a due of late payment charges of my due emi of easy cash loan for the said month of nov/dec/oct as per the each caller who have been calling me on my cell.I need to know do they not have the correct statement thru which they call me.Each one comes on the line with a different statement.1- late payments charges and 2 - late emi for month of jan and partial emi. Please let me know which is actually correct.As per me i have duly paid the emi each month before due date in much advance and i have the said records also.I had received the DD with the covering letter in the between 15th and 18th october and no where the emi date was mention for the first emi and the date cycle and bill generate date and before when i must pay.I have communicationg with noida coll whenever i have received a call to give me correct info which they are not able to give.I have been completely harrassed 10 times a day in my routine work time as different personals call up and i have to tell them the same story again and again.I had called up the pune local centre also with the help of your branch in MG road also but did not get satisfied help.I want to know that when i received my disbursed cheque on 15th oct and i dropped the first emi 28th oct which got cleared on 8th of november am i to be blamed for late payment charges for that.This is the same query which i asked the caller to which he said that they have merged with some other bank and hence it was delayed, so is this my fault.the same repeated for the next emi.I ask you for your assisstance to please solve this issue at the earliest as i am fed up, cause i am a genuine customer till date with good banking relations.My EASY Cash Account No : [protected].

                    My credit card Account No [protected] - cash payment not credited to my account till date - Ref no - Req .no - [protected] / 05.11.2008,[protected] / 20.12.2008, [protected] / 31.12.2008, I have made cash payment of Rs2500/- receipt no - CHBSAI 12260 / 19.11.2008 issued by your collection agent M/s. BSA Infomedia Chennai - 600 024. The collection agent wrongly entered the credit card no [protected] instead of my credit card no [protected]. Since the name and address in the receipt was correct, the credit card number was not verified. After verifying the monthly statement dated 17.11.2008, it was noticed that payment was not credited. Despite of my regd.letter and several requests to the customer care, the payment was not reverted to my account.Hence i request you to kindly revert the payment of Rs 2500/- along with late fee of Rs 650/- and overlimit charges of Rs 600/- which did not arise for which the payment was made within the payment due date
                    Our card is free from annual fee.However the entire outstanding is on account of complete non-waiver, thereby card is unused. Please reverse the charges & send us the revised statement so as to facilitate the use.
                    I made a purchase of Rs.1099/- on interneton 27-4-09 but did not receive any statement or message regarding date of payment etc. and could not pay the amount in time. Bank forwarded the statement after levying the charges etc. I contacted on customer care and was advised to make payment of Rs.1155/- and promised to remove all the chrges.I made the payment and same was confirmed by bank on11-7-09 But still I am receiving the calls from the bank for payment and I couled not the card because of this dispute. I am still receioving the calls to make payment. Pl look intto the matter remove all the charges as promised earlier and unlock my card No.[protected]

                      Iam a abn ambro bank credit holder. my abn ambro bank card no [protected]. I pay excess payment paid to my abn ambro credit card in feb 2009. after that i was not use that card. last month they (abn ambro bank ) send a statement you pay our anual fees of credit card. i was not pay the anual fees because of my son admited in hospital due to fever on last month.
                      The abn ambro bank send a second statement with panalty fees. they abusing me that you pay anual fees (PAYMENTS) other wise we put your name in CIBIL . Then I went to bank and paid Rs. 1547.79p. I paid as per their statement and i contact their customer care no repsonse.

                      TOTALLY I FEEL ABN AMBRO BANK CHEATED ME.

                        Hi,

                        In 2005, I took the Credit Card from ABN AMRO, every month they started including some amount as one or the other charges, finally after 3 months, I made the last payment and while making it I had cut the card into four pieces and gave it back to them along with the cheque and a letter. They encashed the cheque but did not send me any acknowledgement for the card.

                        Today, on 26 June 2009, a person called from ABN AMRO and said that I owe Rs.6500+ to them. I told them that I had not bought anything with that card, he said that those were the charges. When I explained him that I had sent the card to them he said that do you have the NOC. I said that unless they send it I cannot receive it. He siad that it was my problem and on a very rude tone he said that unless I pay the dues he insisted putting my name into the defaulter's list.

                        These kind of rogue banks are using RBI's name to Blackmail the people. Something needs to be done on these kind o[censored]seless banks which has only one ATM in the whole of Bangalore.

                        I am also facing the same problem from HDFC Bank.

                        I own a card from HDFC Bank till year 2004. They send me a renewal fee in monthly statment. I called them and informed i am not interested in to continue this card any more. Phone banking officer guide me to pay the dues minus renewal charges and cut the card in small pieces and throw away. I did so as informed.

                        Now after 5 years I got a call from HDFC bank and they informed I am owning Rs. 4500/- apprx on my card. I shocked after hearing it and explained the situation to him. Bank officer said you don't pay full amount and invited me for a sattlement, which I denied and asked for last card statment. According to bank officer since the card is now blocked they do have statment, and their system can show only last balance. I am getting threatning calls every 15-20 day's regarding the dues. Every time i asked for a statment which they are not providing to me. They are now abusing and insulting me on phone and telling me if i dont pay the due they will put my name in defaulter'slist.

                        I request RBI to look into this matter.

                          On behalf of this credit card I got a call from your side to take a membership of good Life program.

                          They commitment me to lifetime validity of this loyalty card but this is valid still 06 jun 2010.

                          They commitment me to 35% discount on electronic and electric items but none of the outlets in Chandigarh.

                          How i avail the discount?

                          He committed me a lot of offers but when i received kits and found all committed were wrong.

                          So, I want to cancel my membership and revert back my money in credit card.

                          I have got a call form your side she talked with me very rudely and said this will not be cancel.

                          This is to confirm you that I have a Gold credit card of your bank. My card no is [protected].last month I do some purchase one is amounting rs 29, 697/-in the name of digital park new Delhi and second is online purchase a tour product on bank behalf. some one call me on the behalf of abn amro bank and says that you are a gold card holder of the bank and valuable customer banks offer u a holiday package and says that package is valid till 9 months and u pay for this package only 5460/- if you are not use this package the amount is not dr in ur account and they also says that u will received a letter and a from on the behalf on the bank when u want to use this package just fill this form and then u pay the payment .I tell that executive this purchase show in my card statement in next month he reply u ignore that transaction pay this amount when u used this package.
                          They sold me that package with wrong commitment and all fake. when I received my statement the amount is dr from my account and when I speak to cust.care officer fist time they told me u should pay this amount in this month, and there is no offer to pay this amount when u use this services and they register a complain against this holiday package and arrange a call back from the company who sold me that such type of package clear all this thing .after some days when no one call me I again call to cust.care and tell whole story the executive ahilya commit me the amount should be cr in your ac with in 10 days and u please pay the rest of money amounting 29000/- but after 10 days the amount is not cr in my account so today I call him again and they again tell me you should pay this amount in this month, and there is no offer to pay this amount when u use this services. The complaint no. for both discussions is[protected] and[protected].
                          This is very shame on bank who tab with such type of fake company who cheated the customers. So I remind u last time to sort-out this problem and take Ur 29000/- payment as early soon possible.

                            settlement of card
                            i was using credit card of ABN AMRO bank no. and because personal promble i cannot pay regularly the amount but before i was paying regularly the amount .suddenly the bank had ask me pay full amount .
                            On many occasions i paid the amount in cash,
                            i wrote letters and call to cuomter center also to bank but nothing happened.i also requested or closure of my card and the bank intern requested me for not to do so.

                            after 6 months now one fellow from teh bank employe came to my home ask for payment after i told hem i reday to pay ammount & he have given me settlement copy letter he ask me to pay rs .5000 imegately i have pay amount he said me after one month u have to pay rs .23000. i also paid rest amount after one month & now i have call from ABN AMRO bank your due amount is around Rs.23, 000 more. and
                            previous they had give me letter of settlement of that amount only. he ofered me to settle it for Rs 280000.i had got aletterdated from the bank in which they ofered that i can pay in 2 or 3 intallemnts and employe said its ok u can pay with 3 intallement also i have paid amount within 2 intallement full amount they also they r calling me & at home given hersment to parents also.

                            surpresingly when said to bank they call ok we seening to it after that also ABN AMRO, they denied for settlement they have made with me ...
                            i am writing to CIBIL as i want to expose all the tatctics of ABN AMRO bank and its employees

                              Ok…so here I start a long story which started in Mar07 and just shows the pathetic state of affairs in ABN Amro bank and the pain, anguish and trouble a customer goes through due to stupid banks (to be read as ABN Amro) and appalling call centres of these banks

                              It all started in Mar07 when I had no clue that one transaction with the bank will make my life hell for the following 2 years. In Mar07 I decided to use the ABN Amro credit card to book US air tickets worth Rs 125, 000 (till date I repent doing this transaction with ABN Amro).

                              In April 2007, I was travelling for pretty much the entire month. However, I decided to make an early payment (10 days before the due date), knowing that the amount was big and wanted to ensure that the payment does not get delayed. I was in Gurgaon then so decided to call up the customer care to figure out if I can make payment in Gurgaon without much problems.

                              I spoke to a customer service executive, who surprisingly didn’t know the wherabouts of any ABN Amro ATM centres where I could drop the cheque. I informed the call centre person that I resided in Mumbai and if I make a payment in Gurgaon would the outstation cheque would take longer to clear. To this the customer care executive promptly replied that the cheque would take the normal 3 – 4 working days to clear despite being an outstation cheque.

                              Finally from some other sources I was able to find a ABN Amro ATM and deposited a cheque therein. As I turned around to leave the ATM centre, there was a board therein which stated “OUTSTATION CHEQUES TAKE 21 DAYS TO CLEAR”. I was stunned. I called back the call centre and this time round the other executive mentioned that outstation cheques would take 21 days to clear.

                              Just a day before the due date I landed in Mumbai and called the Mumbai call centre and gave him a background of the entire incidence that had happened and asked him a way out. To this the smart (pun intended) executive replied that why don’t I deposit cash payment of Rs 125, 000 so that I don’t have to make late payment fee. I was shocked the hear the same and informed him that we are talking of few lakhs here and not thousands. He again suggested that I make a cheque payment of the same amount again and after 2 months the bank would refund a DD against the excess payment made. I again reminded him that we are talking of few lakh of rupees and I don’t intend to fund the bank with my hard earned money!!!

                              Finally I agreed to cancel my earlier cheque deposited in Gurgaon. Make an immediate cash payment of Rs 6, 500 (minimum amount) and drop a cheque for Rs. 118, 500. All this, I did at 11.30 pm in the night to undo a [censored] up the bank did in the first place.

                              In this intermediary period, I had received a call from the bank to issue a titanium card if I purchase a holiday package worth Rs 4, 000 (call World Is Yours offer) promoted by ABN Amro. I had initially agreed to the same (this was before the devastating call centre experience). Post my experience, I called up the call centre and informed that I do not intend to buy the World if Yours offer. To this the executive informed that then I would not be eligible for a Titanium Card. I gladly agreed that I do not need the titanium card and the World if Yours offer. He asked me to cut the new credit card once I receive it. I did as instructed and hoped I had seen the end of my experiences with ABN Amro Bank. However, it wasn’t to happen.

                              I saw my next statement where the World if Yours offer charges were charged and not reversed. I called the call centre again and they mentioned that I would have received some gift vouchers and I would have to return the same for the charges to be reversed (I still wonder why the initial conversation on cancelling my titanium card had no reference of the same!!)

                              I informed them that I hadn’t received any gift vouchers…wrote mails for the same ….and they finally agreed to reverse the charges.

                              I saw my next statement to see some Rs 900 being reversed and the balance amount o/s and interest and late payment fee being charged on the same. Thereafter started a series of call which hasn’t ended till date.

                              I called the customer care frantically over the next few days to figure out the same …explaining my case and what had happened. Surprisingly, no customer care executive in ABN Amro notes anything in the system about the call with customers…coz everytime everyone calls and asks the same questions without absolutely no background of the case….Basically they take it for granted that the customer has all the time in the work to answer and explain it to every of their pathetic customer service executive!!!...who is bothered about customer service here!!!

                              Over the past 2 years, I have explained my case to around 30 – 50 customer service executives. I have asked them to provide me with an email id so that I can send across my credit card statements to show that all payments against my purchases have been made and the amount o/s is only towards the World if Yours offer (plus interest and late payment fee on the same) which I have not utilized.

                              I have been asked 100s of times to make payment….the amount o/s is small and I can make the payment…but I believe the question here is of principles and not of the amount involved. Why should I make payment for an amount I have not utilized?? I have asked the customer service guys several times for an email address where I can email the credit card statements which shows that all payments against my purchases and cleared and amount o/s is totally towards the ‘World is yours offer’ which I have not used and has not been reversed fully. But no one has ever provided an email address or even a fax number (not sure if they really want the problem resolved)

                              I have a year back cut and thrown away the ABN Amro credit card and have vowed to myself never to use any services of the bank

                              Today I use credit cards of 6 other banks and trust me all these banks put together have not been able to match even 10% of the frustration and anger caused by ABN Amro (we have a clear winner here, don’t we!!!).

                              Even today I receive calls from ABN Amro call centres an collection agents…threatening me…lol
                              In a last ditch effort I ask the bank to please have a look at the credit card statements and free me of the trauma and ordeal I have been going through over the past two years. Hope someone in the bank has some brains on their shoulders and some heart to think about the customers…

                              I completely agree with you regarding the pain of being an abn amro cust.
                              Its true they do not record anything, this needs the attention of rbi.
                              I completely agree ... I have seen some of my friends struggle for months together for similar issues, especially the fraud about travel vouchers. They just do not disclose complete information at any point in time.
                              ABN AMRO cc is a night mare to me as of now . I never used the card they issued me and they got no details o[censored]sage even but reflected a bill of 14800/= and are brainstorming on a lot of things.What insidious unscrupulous beings . Feel like i 'll hoot down the person right through the head. They ate my money and still sought for more.

                              I lost my patience, my sleep and above all my health with these sick guys.

                                Likewise you I am also not agree with you. For your loan amount you are charging the interest but for my payment it has no value. Regarding pre-closure charges you should have

                                It is fine that you are the member of CIBL but you should not put wrong information or incomplete information to the CIBL. For my case I would like to draw your attention to the fact that your executives have misguided me and I will not be penalise for your executives fault.

                                It is fact that you are here for cheating your customers only. For any outstanding amount you used to make all possible initiatives for collecting the amount but for customers know how you are not at all interested to do any favour.

                                Again I am asking you to close my account by adjusting all the payments which I have already paid otherwise I will be compelled to take legal action against you as I have already paid you all the dues. More over that you can not charge debit note over debit note - it is criminal offence.

                                Please find the attached statements for loan account number [protected] for the month of December 2007 and June 2009 and you will find irregularities of your accounting. In the statement of December 2007 it was clearly mentioned by you that opening balance was Rs. 38, 533.59/- and Payment received by you Rs. 38, 534/-. That means you have received all of your payment to be payable by me. After that no dues should be claimed by you. Also in that statement you have mentioned t0tal payment due was Rs. (-)32, 800.39/-. On enquiry your customer care executives informed me that that amount was excess amount paid by me and would be adjusted in the monthly bills. At that time I could not understand what your intentions for sending such statement were. After that in every month you have calculated your dues with interest and for my payment you need not think for any interest.

                                Now come to the statement for the month of June 2009. In that statement you are claiming that Rs. 8568.36/- is outstanding for the above mentioned loan account and is required to be paid with immediate action. Is it not a malpractice from your end? It is needless to say that you have appointed some notorious people in the name of customer care executives who don’t have the ethics how to behave with the customers. Most of the time your customer care executives are not picking up telephones after waiting for long 10 to 12 minutes. And if they picked up the phone then they don’t have any correct information to provide us. And about your collection agents they are so irritating and have nothing to do except harassing the customers. I have informed them about the irregularities of the above mentioned account but they have done nothing except the irritating languages. Not only that after so many discrepancies you have dare to report against me in the Credit Information Bureau about my outstanding – which is to be sorted out after settlement of the said account.

                                Now tell me what do you want? Will you regularize the discrepancy with immediate affect or, shall I sue you in the court for regularizes my account and will also claim for the compensation for the mental harassments.

                                I am waiting for your early reply.

                                  I was using ABN Amro Bank's Credit card 6 years back, there was a mistake from their department like somebody else has swapped my card and they have added that amount to my account, naturally that was not accepted to me so i refused to pay due amount unless & until bank accept their mistake & deduct those charges from my account. but as usual they have never showed courtesy to resolve this problem. they extended the courtesy by charging me late fees on due amount, Because this was not my fault I tried contacting the Bank but they offered me vague answers, I requested them to show me Pay Slip, as per the commitment i received Pay slip but with Someone elses Signature. I immediately informed the Bank to prove this mis-understanding. one Mr. Anish Gupta, promised to settle the account. there was not a proper communication from the bankers end after that, meantime Recovery department was continually calling me & using Bad Words. So I had settled all my dues by paying full & final amount around 3 year back by cheque, accordingly one executive came to my office & gave me settlement slip against Cheque.

                                  I was bit "Happy"? that i don't have to face vulgar calls from Bank after that. it was there mistake at all but they were not at all ready to listen & understand ! i Lost that battle...

                                  But Again last 3 years, every month Recovery Department people from Delhi branch are calling me up for more payment, account was settled by their executive only but these people are asking for more money. If i don't pic-up the phone then they call at my Home number & use Bad Language. this time i have decided to fight against this & take this matter to Consumer Court.

                                  THERE ARE PEOPLE IN ABN AMRO BANK who are acting as agent & making false promises in the name settlement by asking you to make payments by cheque and cash. BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                  Such people are blot in the name of ABN AMRO. If people orgnize and ABN AMRO COOPERATE such scams will be unearthed
                                  But perhaps ABN AMRO is not interested in this because they have already charged people by way of interest @3.25 PM. You know what is the bank rate for this.

                                    i am having a credit card of ABN AMRO bank cardno. [protected] from last 4 to 5 years which i was using frequently and also there was no issue about the payment from my side all the payments were made promptly. but For the last year or so i dont know why suddenly i was not getting the payment statement from the bank which on many occassions conveyed to the customer service of the bank and every time an assurance was given to me that i will get my bill statement, also i had given my e mail so that bills can be sent thru mails but bank has not looked in to my request. still every time i was honouring the bank by making the payment whenever suddenly the collection man used to appear for collection. After some months one Mr. Mohit Kumar (Mob. no. [protected]/[protected] an executive from collection cell approached me and told me to settle the amount if i am not getting my bills on time. As i was fed up with the bill statement issue, i decided to do as advised by shri. Mohit kumar, he asked me to give 3 cheques of Rs. 1859, Rs.1900, & Rs. 18241. totalling to Rs.22000/- as settelement amount, which i had paid thru 3 cheques numbered 461972, 461973& 461962 for. Rs.18241, Rs. 1859, Rs.1900 . for which a receipt was given to me & Mr. Mohit kumar has told me that i will receive my settlement letter as soon as the cheques get cleared, All the cheques were cleared from my Account but till date the bank has not issued me my settlement letter.i have tried to contact the banks representative mr. mohit kumar but he is neither responding not taking my phone, and the collection persons have again started calling me and harrassing me for payment and when asked about my settlement letter they are not responding, where as every time some or the other person from abn amro bank calls me and again i have to explain everything to every body. this is a mental harrassment to me. you are requested to kindly look into this matter and help me in getting my settlement letter and get relief from the harrassment meted out to me from abn amro bank officials

                                    i have talked to shri. Rohit Malhotra of New Delhi collecting office also, they are asking me to wait for 2 to 3 months for getting settlement letter or else they are saying you go to the branch and talk to them. This is cheating with customer that one person collects the money in the name of settling the account and later on customer has to run after the bank. I am being cheated by the bank officials. though i have not received statment for a year or so, i was paying blindly, i have stopped using the card since may 2008.

                                    ABN AMRO CARd — Non receipt of Bills and charges

                                    I had taken a Card No [protected] for the same I did not receive the bills and was being harassed by Claiming department for the Payment.
                                    I had requested for the reversal on card and I am still following up for reversals since long.Now few reversals have been declined again.

                                      I HOLD A CARD NO. [protected] OF ABN AMRO BANK, LAST YEAR SETTLEMENT WAS DONE FOR RS. 19500 IN SIX INSTALLMENTS, BUT THE LAST CHEQUE BOUNCED, AND SAME WAS PAID IN CASH ENSURING THAT ACCOUNT WILL BE SETTLED, WHICH WAS NOT DONE SAYING THAT THE SETTLEMENT GETS VOID. NOW ON 06.02.2009 I RECD A CALL FROM DELHI ( RITIKA AGARWAL HER MOBILE NO. [protected] & OFFICE NO.[protected] STATING THAT A HAD AN OFFER OF RS. 18110 ON MY CARD WHICH I CAN AVAIL BY PAYING MY DUES OF RS. 14, 000. I AGREED TO THE OFFER SHE DID A FAVOUR AND SAID ME TO PAY RS. 10, 000 TO SETTLE MY ACCOUNT AND GET THE BONUS OFFER WHICH I PAID ON 07.02.2009, NOW WHEN I CALL HER SHE DOESN'T PICK UP THE PHONE AND SOMEONE PICKS UP THE PHONE AND STARTED GIVING BAD WORDS TO ME. I DON'T NEED ANY BONUS FROM THEM, I ONLY NEED IS ACCOUNT CLOSURE LETTER SINCE I HAD PAID ALL THE DUES AS AGREED, PLEASE DO THE NEEDFUL

                                        Dear Sir/Madam,

                                        This is with reference to my salary account number 1299052 which was started on 20th Dec’06. I am using the debit card for the same and the bank has deducted the debit card charges + service tax on 4th April 09.
                                        I had words with other employee and they are not paying any charges for the debit card.

                                        I am wondering how can a bank deduct debit card chages from me only??

                                        It was happened to me and my colique also. We are working in a BPO company, and the bank has deducted debit card annual fee from me and my friend. What i did was i have reimbursed that money by reward points(300) but my friend get the debited money in different way, he send an mail and asked them as how its possible to charge the debit card annual fee for my salary account like that, then after a couple of days it was credited into account. Actually i dont know this way, then i realised this and now i have sent an mail and awaiting for reply.

                                        Thats the improper rules happening in ABN. So you can also mail them or call to customer care and ask them to reimburse the debited amount.
