I am a customer for ABN AMRO freedom credit card and i have that card for like last 3 years ...recently i had one of the worst customer service experiences as on my freedom credit card there is one of the offers that if i buy a cell phone on that card i can convert that amount into 3 months easy interest free installments, which i did and i bought a fone by swiping my card...but before i swiping my card i called customer services TWICE to confirm that weather that particular 3 months easy installments scheme is on or not and is there any other service tax or educational tax or VAT for conversion of that amount in 3 interest freee installments and BOTH THE TIMES i got the same reply that yes there is no such charge ...advisor said once you swipe your card for purchase of the handset, , , after 2 days give a call and convert the amount and the needful will be done...i was very specific to this as i had some previous issues as well with my card...out of sudden after i called 2 days after the purchase to convert the amount to customer services and the advisor tells me that there would be a charge for 150 rupees as service tax, i objected why was it not told to me before the purcase while i called twice to confirm the same thing and i was not kept in the loop ...advsor hided the info about this and they charges me the service tax...i want to complain about is that y the advisor, i would say both the customer serice advisors dint informed me about that when i asked because i did that transcaction as per that scheme with no charge which i was charged ...lately...its not about 150 rupees AS ITS NOTHING TO ME but i feel shamed by such customer service and supervisor at customer services who are rude and the way they speak is absolutely threatening...the supervisor call shahzad says that do wat ever you want but the charges would not be waived off so i feel pity as after being paying all my bills always on time what i get in return is this!!
To whomso ever this concerns please look in to this as its cheating customer s without giving them proper info and further it leads to frauds from companies!!
SUPERVISOR CALLED SHAHZAD WHO WAS A BIT RUDE, NOTHING PERSONAL AGAINTS HIM BUT THE AFDVISOR WHO DIONT GAVE ME INFO, I THINK THEY SHOULD NOT BE SPARED, AT AAB AMRO CUTOMER SERVICES.

IN MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER [protected] BILL FOR THE PERIOD FROM 18.02.2008 TO 17.03.2008 AN AMOUNT OF RS 4000/- PLUS 494.40 SERVICE TAX HAVE BEEN DEBITED ON ACCOUNT OF PREMIER CLUB & SUPREME EXPERIENCE OFFER ON 27.02.2008, I REQUESTED ON TELEPHONIC CUSTOMER CARE CELL OF ABN AMRO CREDIT CARD CELL FOR WEAVE OF THE NON-UTILIZED AMOUNT. A DOCKET NUMBER FOR THIS COMPLAIN WAS GIVEN TO ME 2207 AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE REQUEST WILL BE SOLICITED WITHIN 7 WORKING DAYS YOU HVE NOT TO PAY ANY AMOUNT AGAINST THIS BILL. BUT, IN NEXT BILL THE SAME AMOUNT CARRIED OVER AND DEMANDED TO PAY FROM ME, WHEN I IGNORED, I WAS ASKED TO DEPOSIT THE CURRENT UTILIZED AMOUNT OF RS 5795/- IN CASH, I REQUESTED TO PAY BY CHEQUE ONLY IMMEDIATELY BUT THE BANK IGNORED AND THREATENED OVER TELEPHONE FOR RECOVERY THROUGH RECOVERY AGENTS. I HAVE PAID THE UTILIZED AMOUNT BY CHEQUE NUMBER 714536 DRAWN ON PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK ON 24.04.2008 RS 5795/-NOW I REQUEST TO PLEASE WEAVE THE UNUTILIZED AMOUNT DEBITED TO MY ACCOUNT AND I WANT TO SURRENDER THIS CARD ALSO
