acer computers are worth . i got one for xmas ,crashed two weeks later .acer cant even help . plus from shopnbc sold me an old model. can you say lawsuit.

    I purchased a Laptop of Acer Aspiron Model no.5052. I had not used the Bluetooth on that for last 4 months since i purchased. One day I needed it. It did not work. I uninstall & reinstall the OS that there may be a skip of OS. When I complaint this issue to Acer. They said that this product does not have the Bluetooh where at Nehru Place Acer showroom salesman told it has it just to sell it out. Even button of bluetooth is there on the Laptop. They are saying "It may be the button but bluetooh is not there". It is an open cheat to customer. I am feeling cut off my hands. What should I do?

    I too have a similar type of acer aspire laptop that, does have a physical Bluetooth(BT) button.
    But it does not work. Some models have inbulit BT option and some dont. I asked about this before buying the laptop.

    Well, I would never worry about this. Becuase the inbuilt BT u want, will obviously work with Win XP(assuming). Let me tell u the inbuilt option of BT connectivity in XP SUCKS, u have to manually push files to transfer to BT device from XP and worst thing is that, user can send only 1 files at a time.
    YES! 1 AT A TIME.

    Its better to buy a USB BT dongle from NPlace install the software with it. Commonly IVT Bluesoil comes with most BT dongles. Its very user friendly n simple. It would cost anywhere from Rs. 150 - 300.

    Try it, it'll make BT conectivty an ease for you.
    i'm purchase the acer laptop before 6 month
    in this laptop lan card is not working
    boss i have purchased acer 4710z laptop from janakpuri outlet. First i got problem while shutting down the windows.
    and second problem occurs when insert a dvd/cd in DVD drive.
    it read sometimes and sometimes its power doesnt shows.
    i am a working guy..i have to visit to customer but due to this bloody i have to take lots of tension while burn the documents...and i visited to janakpuri district centre service centre...they were behaving like the .. according to them this is a hardware problem and i have done this thing...means they dont want to solve my problem and were showing their frustation to me. Means they didn't want to do the needfull to me...I am sorry to say it but acer can't make the life easy but it can make your life puzzled and painful...
    I have just purchase a new ACER Laptop Aspire 4720Z... The notebook worked fine for a month, then .the DVD Drive stopped working. A week later the battery showed signs of getting discharged immediately. Took the notebook to the service center in Andheri (Mumbai) where they replaced the DVD Writer. For the battery I was told I have to download some applications and then the battery would work fine. It's been 3 weeks already I have downloaded the application, but the problem still persists. When i contacted the helpline number, they said, someone will get back to me in a week's time. It's more than than 2 weeks now and there is no sign of that phone call.

    The service centre says they cannot touch the laptop until they get instructions from the service center.

    Now being a customer, I would like to know... HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO SOLVE A COMPLAINT. If this is the pace at which Acer is operating, I am sure you will go down in history for the slowest customer support provider... !!

    I am using acer 4730z (aspire), the sales person told it is perfectly compatible with linux, But this big bull is not ready to install linux in it .customer support for it is rubbish.

    I'v purchased acer aspire 4730Z which have built-in bluetooth but at the time of installation o[censored]tility sortware it shows "NO bluetooth device connected" and later when i press the bluetooth key from keyboard it says" No device detected", can anyone give me the solution?
    Hi my name is Parag.I'm an Engg student plus an Animator.I own an assembled desktop and Acer aspire 4520 Laptop.My desktop workstation which i've been using for last 4 years never had a single piece of problem n still working good... But since i bought this Piece of S*** Acer 4520 laptop ...the problems regarding da laptop r unstoppable!!! After purchasing laptop it worked fine for good [censored] 2 weeks!!! after that my laptop had DISPLAY PROBLEM!! It was like i always needed to tilt down the laptop display in almost 20 degrees from keyboard to see the display on!!! I took it to Service center.THey took 20 DAYS to repair it!!! After this wen i brought my laptop back from the service center !!! not long !!!just a day after i've got my display repaired i had another problemS!!! My laptop battery never charged, Speakers never worked, card reader stopped working!!! The customer care guy told me the battery problem can resolved in few minutes, about card reader he told me that i dont have a good Antivirus Program, he only assured me of replacing the speakers!!! HEY PEOPLE GET RID OF THIS ACER SH** !!! IT WILL GIVE ONLY PROBLEMS PROBLEM N PROBLEMS!!!ACER LAPTOPS R FAILED TO SATISFY THE CUSTOMERS!!! MY FRIENDS ALSO HAD THE SAME [censored] PROBLEMS!!!     I am very much agree with the above complaint. The worst laptop are Acer only and no other can be as bda as Acer.

    I appeal to all who are thinkng to buy Laptop or Desktop, do not even think of buying either Acer Desktop or Acer Laptop...
    My acer Aspire 5630 got some problem And even service station guys not able to resolve it. From one trustworthy service station I got information that Acer has withdrawn this series because of Motherboard problem and unfortunately my laptop has same problem.

    Just bought acer 4730z a month ago, as of now im not seeing any problem with, quite satisfied. I upgraded it to 4 gig memory. I find it very fast, work well with Vista, but I downgraded it to XP since i dont have a licence copy of vista and it will expire after 30days. Now im using XP. I find the specs are good, Bluetooth working well, Wifi, no problem so far, Ive already formatted the HDD i think 5 times, coz im experimenting on Different windows OS like vista, vista black edition, and Windows 7. worked well on all OS. Find the keyboard classy and soft to touch. I red lot of forum about bad things about Acer, but so far im not seeing any problem with mine though.

    I had purchased Acer Notebook Model No. -4720z (S/N - AL 80C0077430CA2A2500) from M/S Microsys Computer, Hari Niwas Complex, Patna, dealer of your company on 07.12.2007. The performance of the aforsaid laptop was satisfying, but a serious trubble shooted out on August 2008. The basic problem of the laptop was of the display which regularly blurred and my work use to be hampered. On contacting the microsys computer Patna, i informed them about the problem and taking it easily Mr. Sumit promised me to get the laptop down to patna and he would see in to the matter but after submmiting the laptop to him he kept the laptop with him for about three month and convinced me that the laptop had been repaired and it could be used without any hinderence. The efferts of Mr. Sumit was in vein and my laptop remained in the same condition. Later on I filed A Case Id No.[protected] dated 03.12.2008 regarding the spoilt laptop which was on the warranty provided by the company.
    The lapto is still at Microsys Computer, Hari Niwas Complex, Patna and they have not delivered the serviced laptop to me and they are demanding additional charges which I am not going to pay. Insted I shall be knocking the doors of consumer forum if the laptop is not given to me in working condition within 15 days.
    I hope you look in to the metter immediately before I take a leagel step against the dealer M/S Microsys Computers Patna.

    Acer — Wants Refund or Replacement

    This is My second Acer laptop I bought . Now i Feel I had done a big mistake buying it.The First laptop had issue in first week . I was patient, taken the computer to service center, got the motherboard replaced .Few weeks after the second laptop i had bought also dead . The laptops are not even 2 months old. Both are dead. I was so patient that i took the second laptop also to service center . they replaced the motherboard. I was happy as the computer was fixed. But that didnt last long. 3 days after the motherboard was replaced the computer dead again. I called the tech support Spoke to a lady . explained everything. The call got disconnected. Fine . I called again..spoke to a tech, again explained about the case. I am really disappointed by the computer. I only want the refund for the computer. I asked about the refund, the tech doesn't understand anything, I asked for a manager. He said he don't have any manager. At last he said he will check for the manager..came back on line said he wont be able to connect to manager & then disconnected the line.Called again spoke with tech . I lost all faith in your computer. The Worst service i in my Life. I want the refund for the computer or give me a new computer. I wont accept anything Less than that. Its period.Your computer is a piece of crap. I am also complaining about the worst service got from your Company in consumer complaint Forum. I will go all the way i can to inform about this to all .You are going to lose your customer if this is the service which is going to give for the customer. This would be the last acer of mine & I will also make sure Every one i know also doesn't buy your computer.
    i have bought acer laptop 4730z, withing one month, the monitor's side is rubbing with keyboard side, the mouse button is dislocated, bent downward and most of all, i have been trying to register my complaint on-line (bsnl toll free), the number is not working for the last few days, other number have disconnection problem due to that i am unable to register my complaint (trying since monday 7 days before now)
    very very cheap service and i am surprised to see the poor quality of the laptop

    acer aspire4520 — laptop having lots of problems just after the expiry of the warranty

    i have purchased this laptop (aspire 4520) in nov 2007 and had a warranty upto nov 2008. just one month after the warranty expiry the laptop started giving problems. its dvd player stopped working and freqquently its sound used to go off.
    now the condition of laptop had deteriorated further and laptop gets switched off automatically and does not switch on. this clearly shows the spurious spare parts used by your company. now the warranty has expired and outside the repair cost is very very high.
    this not only gives a bad name to your company but also i feel tht i have been cheated. i request if something can be done from your end so tht my laptop gets some technical support from you.

    Acer Aspire 5738Z Portable — Product quality and Service Issues

    I bought this laptop 5 months ago for business purposes. i needed a portable as i am required to give presentations to clients everyday. i noticed that the up and down arrow keys were hard right from day 1 but couldn't take the time out to visit the acer service center. Now only 4 months later the battery died suddenly and the keypad despite regular upkeep is causing problems. i gave the laptop to the service center on the 5th of november. they kept it for a day and returned it saying that the battery and keyboard would be replaced within a weeks time. it's been a month since then. my work has suffered a lot and they are not even close to resolving the problem. i esclated the issue to Ms. Sonia at the acer corporate office in delhi and asked for a refund or a replacement as per the manufacturers guaranty, and lo behold they are now saying that the battery has arrived but still no news of the keypad. As a consumer i thought our law and constitution afford us some protection at least however this doesn't seem to be the case here. Not to mention the no. of times i had to call them and the amount of trouble and loss i had to incur just because i trusted the company and the product. i was about to get a hike in my salary due to the business i had done in the recent past but ever since the laptop battery went dead the business went slack and i lost it. I am glad that i still have my job. I want a refund or atleast a replacement as i dont trust this machine no more..

    acer aspire 5738z — the monitor's display is not working

    Acer Aspire One Series-Notebook — No Display

    Hi,

    I am krishnakant. I purchased Acer 4250 laptop in 2008. In first year only DVD ROM was replaced. In second year speaker failed and there was no sound. Also battery died. In third year (2011), motherboard failed. They are asking Rs. 12000 for repairing it, which I can't afford after spending 27000 on purchase. My suggestion is never go for Acer laptop else one day in next year you will regret for it.
    The Acer laptops are useless and of worst in quality. Don't go for their price tags.

      I had heating issue with my Acer Aspire 5052. I took to Service Center at Lajpat Nagar in Delhi, India; It took around 10 days to repair. Although It was not fixed. They said that AMD processors exhaust fast & heat quick, which is not true that I know it is a AMD has fixed it years ago & heating issue of AMD is history now. Now I got issue with DVD-RW on its. I gave my laptop to the service center on 31-12-07 & till today I am wainting for it be fixed.( around 12 days ). They are saying that we have informed Acer they are not sending the spare part. I don't know where is Acer is..

      Acer — Faulty DVD Drives

      This is in regards to the problem that I have been facing with my DVD drive on my Aspire 3000 machine.
      I had the original drive replaced a year after I bought my laptop from Acer as it didn’t read CD’s or DVD’s anymore. However now 18 months later the new drive too isn’t working and it is really a serious problem if DVD drives that Acer is installing can’t even be used for 2 years at a stretch especially when your warranty is only for 12 months on replacements.
      Please let me know how I can go about getting this sorted out as this problem with the DVD drive is the main reason that I may not be able to ever buyer Acer products in the future.

      Acer — Poor Quality materials are used as accessories

      I bought a brand new Laptop from a Acer Showroom in Jayanagar Bangalore, though my friends suggested me to go for HP, Dell and other brands I chose Acer thinking that it has branches all over and for any servicing it will be comfortable.

      I was wrong about my opinions, the company had given me one year Warranty, soon after 12 months the 13th month my DVD ROM stopped detecting any CD's that I put in to it. After a month I had a Serious problem where the metal support which is provided inside the body as a rim broke internally. When i approached the service center for the repair they are asking me to pay RS 15, 000 towards the repair charges.

      I asked them to keep the system and pay me the money back they asked the laptop for 7000Rs. There was not proper hospitality in the service center and very rude when you ask for any compensation as long as you are ready to pay they will be happy to serve you.

      I have paid RS 45, 000 towards the laptop. I am really pissed off with this laptop and I am not in a position to buy a new one or spend any thing more on this sick laptop.

      Acer — submitting complaint

      i have an ACER lap..i was working with it for the past 1 year..recently my lap got into some problem because of which i cant get into the system..it displays boot sector error and it prompts me that this error is because of the software which is installed recently..but i haven't installed any of such kind..what am i to do..assist me..
      I bought a brand new Laptop from the Acer's auth.Dealer in mumbai, though my friends suggested me to go for HP, Dell and other brands I chose Acer thinking that it has branches all over and for any servicing it will be comfortable.

      I was wrong about my opinions, the company has given me one year warrenty.
      from the first day when i started to use the laptop white disply appear on display lcd screen.

      I went to their service centre at andheri(east) and they repair for the same but after 3 days the same problem started again,
      i took the laptop again the service centre on 5.05.09. and they told me that they will replace the part part but till date they didn't replace that part i called at service centre but they told me that the part not yet come.
      I have paid RS 35, 000 towards the laptop. I am really pissed off with this laptop and I am not in a position to buy a new one or spend any thing more on this sick laptop
      Wow such a ridiculous service by acer in the Czech Republic. I have 4270 which it should be good notebook price for this notebook is 1500 $ which is not cheap. After 2 years and 3 days this mean after warranty with 3 days computer start to be stupid. Not working well. As usual I contact the service and first question is are you in warranty period or not I said I'm not so they told me I have to call for the normal line not toll-free I asked for the number, when I tried to call answer was this number is not exist. I went back to the lady and I said Please please do something, finally she accepted my request. First wave after 10 days the notebook is back. They said HD+optical device coast was 320 $ and the cover for the HD wasn't well closed. Windows with different language than it was even if I'm it expert as we expect Acer service I should know what is inside.2 Days and I return the notebook to be fixed. This time was fast only 4 days. Seems fine, another 2 days and the same problem this was since 10-04-09 until now the problem it's not fixed yet. During this period I have to check from time to time and with each phone call they said we are waiting for spare pare and we don't know when it will come. One of the nice guys there talked to me that they fixed badly and I can write request to return for me money back. Smart guys there they said after I wrote to the CEO of the acer company they are able to give me what I had paid for the service and immediately I will have my notebook not repaired or I have to shut up and wait. I wrote too many complaints but nobody acts positively. So I don't recommend to any smart person to even think to buy Acer for all above reasons. Just make sure of the brand No acer any more even if it will be for free. I hope one of those who take care of this company to read this and takes owner ship to react effectively on my concerning

      Acer's Aspire One — Very poor service and no irresponsibility showing by the company.

      Dear Concerned Persons.

      I have purchesed desktop machine from Croma, Gurgaon Ansal Plaza, G-Block, Palam Vihar, Gurgaon, Haryana. Serial number is:- LUS570B1809080B5AB1601, Model Number is :- Aspire One D150-0BK.the case-id given by the Acer Company is :[protected] I have submitted my laptop to the ACER'S Authourised service centre PERFECT SERVICES at Laxmi Nagar on 9th June 2009 on tuesday. They had told me that the Mother Board is Faulty and need to be change. They had told me that they will order for the motherboard next day. And my laptop will be repaired in 3-4 days. But today it has been completed 10 days but my laptop is not repaired and infact the motherboard is not reached at service centre. When i have trace out the status from the service centre they are saying that we are helpless and we can't say about status. After that i have follwed the acer company then they are also saying that they can not halp me. My company is going to fire me. I and my company is very unsatisfied for the very very poor service giving by the ace company. So please check my laptop's status immediately and please reply my back.       If nobody will take an action on my complaint then i m also going to follow the procedure of CONSUMER COURT Tommorow, and also will publish my complaint as article in the media, news paper etc., whatever i can do.

      Acer's aspire one series — very poor service and showing no responsibility by the company

      Dear Concerned Persons.

      I have purchesed desktop machine from Croma, Gurgaon Ansal Plaza, G-Block, Palam Vihar, Gurgaon, Haryana. Serial number is:- LUS570B1809080B5AB1601, Model Number is :- Aspire One D150-0BK.the case-id given by the Acer Company is :[protected] I have submitted my laptop to the ACER'S Authourised service centre PERFECT SERVICES at Laxmi Nagar on 9th June 2009 on tuesday. They had told me that the Mother Board is Faulty and need to be change. They had told me that they will order for the motherboard next day. And my laptop will be repaired in 3-4 days. But today it has been completed 10 days but my laptop is not repaired and infact the motherboard is not reached at service centre. When i have trace out the status from the service centre they are saying that we are helpless and we can't say about status. After that i have follwed the acer company then they are also saying that they can not halp me. My company is going to fire me. I and my company is very unsatisfied for the very very poor service giving by the ace company. So please check my laptop's status immediately and please reply my back.       If nobody will take an action on my complaint then i m also going to follow the procedure of CONSUMER COURT Tommorow, and also will publish my complaint as article in the media, news paper etc., whatever i can do.

      What are the ways that we can file a case againt Acer and give the comapny a good lesson .Let them also understand that people are spending their hard and soul money the company is accountable as they are selling the poor qality of goods and making people fool, they should give back the money with penalty.please check and revert back.

      Acer laptop aspire 4720z — Poor service - infact worst service

      Customer service at call center as well as service center is worst. No one cares for consumer. They insult you too badly. Service center took 2 months to just check my problem. Took money from me to formatting but did not format my laptop. They misplaced my charger too. Engineers to manager all are liers. I will never purchase any acer product and never let others. Its my mission now. I have stopped 3 friends to purchase acer laptop yet and will try to increase this number.

      I have problem in my adaptor and its not workin properly as well as it also affects the laptop which was ensured by the service center engineer . It was bought 31st jan 2009 and since it is in the warranty period
      and therefore it should be replaced by a new one but I have been provided a used and a repaired adaptor in place of that and that also with 1.5amp as the adaptor I have is of 1.6 amp . On complaining neither they are taking any actions and also they behaved so disgust. I dont think that any one might be ready to buy if this behaviour remains with the customer and I would strictly complain to have some action on the engineers of "AFFORE SERVE SERVICE CENTER OF PATNA ", which is situated in exhibition road Patna.So, I would request you to take some severe and strict action against this rediculous activity as fast as possible.I want my adaptor tobe replaced by a new one.

      Acer/Laptop — TOUCH PAD NOT WORKING

      The laptop was purchased on 28 july,2009 and from the very next day it was observed that cursor is not working properly.On clicking the the particular file the file does not open most of the time .On asking the dealer to please resolve the problem dealer says to go to the service centre and on asking the service centre people there is no problem in the laptop but still the problem is there which has not been resolved yet.I would like to request you please resove the same at earliest.

      I sent in my 6 month old FX6800 Gateway computer for repair. It's been gone for over a month. It has not been returned to me yet. I called several times and pointed out to them that they had said it would take 5-10 days. Their line is that the guarantee does not explicitly state a "time limit" for repairs.

      Folks, stay away from ACER/GATEWAY computers. It may look like a good deal - that is until you need servicing!
      I, too, have a had a problem with Acer. During warranty it would not turn on. I sent it in (four times); each time it came back in the same condition it was in. Now I am told that the warranty has expired and it will cost me to send it back in. What a piece of trash, equaled only by their lack of service.

      Acer — Poor quality of Laptops

      I have one Acer Aspire 4720Z. In just one year it has toubled me so much that I would never suggest anyone to buy an Acer. Its battery is giving so much problem that I cac't use it without power on. It has 0 min battery back up time. Its DVD rom is not working and making so musch sound as if there is CD is inside the rom even when there is no CD is in. Some time its keyboard stop working or some time its touch pad stops working, you have remove and then reinsert the battery to get touch pad work.
      Before I start I donot understand the aree, neutral or disagree selection. So i left it as it was.
      My acer laptop keypad went bad. I letter "R" broke off and was lost, Later the letter "Z" stop working. I contact acer a month before the manufacture warranty expired. I have a two extended warranty that came with the purchase. Now they tell since the manufacture did not fix it letter R they cannot fix the letter Z until the R in fix. Now the manufacture warranty has expired a couple of month ago. Now I'm stuck with a laptop I brought a year ago that the some of the key letters does't work. No more Acer for me and I will spread the word to others donot but acer. By the I purchase this for ShopNbc online.

      I purchase a new acer aspire 5738z laptop on dec2,2009..and the touchpad is not working properly from the very first day.. i went to the service center in sec 44 chandigarh.. and it the worst service center that i have seen in my life.. they dont know how to talk to customer.. and they doesn't know about latest laptop features..

      Acer Laptop — very poor service

      the service provided by acer is the worst...i had to leave my laptop at digitech service station gurgaon for more then 3months for repair...they never give any feedback,no calls,no intimation...you will have to go20 times to get your problem rectified..not at all satisfactory service...

      CPU is not working. When we plug and switch on, it sparks inside of CPU. Maybe its problem in SMPS coz current not shows in CPU.

      earlier there waz a prolem with the tap and battery and also water leakage .The guy came on time and repalced teh parts but next day the problem of leakage started again and again we put a complaint against it
      some one came and slove the proble but it did nt goy completely slove again next day same problem of leakage problem had put a compalint on their toll free number as well as on the number of their tata which is alwaz not reachable.
      but yet no one had come across to slove the proble now despite of having pureit in my company i cannot store water fro drinking in it.

      Acer Laptop — Poor Service

      Dear All,

      I have given my Acer laptop for service dated on 22.12.09.and till date on 19.01.10 the laptop has not been considered and repaired, after a long discussion also the service engineer answers roughly and doesn't commit time to deliver the laptop. I would request you people not to go for Acer products as they are the worst after sales service providers.

      1. Web cam is not working.

      2. The bios batter is not working properly. This is not able to save the data.

      3. One hinsis are making noise.

      4. The battery backup is 20 to 25 minit.



      For these issue I have complain and they generate a case ID the case id is ACER:OL:[protected].

      The Technical person from Acer Customer center Pune tell me that this have problem in Main board. The order for new part and on last Saturday they have changed this part and tell me that your laptop is working ok you take it. I have received it but when I was working on it then the system not able to charge and not able to start. So I again call the technical person ( Shaker from Acer Customer center Pune) the tall me that submit the laptop, so I have again submit the laptop for 9 days.

      They again order for new part and the case id for that is 11310-56. When I visit the service center for collecting the laptop, I found that the laptop has my previous board complains is romance same in my laptop. The fit old board and gives me wrong information that the part has been changed. And the web came also not working and the battery status I don’t know. The technical person gives me excuse that the part is repair. And I have changed the part. But the problem is still there. And if the same part require only repair so why the order for new part and if the received new part so why the fit old one.

      This is not good thing sir.

      I also want to renew my warranty period but if you period me service like this so how I trust on your organization. This is my last hope if you able to help me so please otherwise in my contact no one will buy any product of acer brand. And I also go in consumer cort because I am not able to to anything the behavior of the person which is working in the costumer care is not good I have not any other choice.

      Yep, I purchased a Acer Aspire Laptop (Win7HomePrem) back in Dec 09. When I blew the OS up, with a crappy utility (my fault), I then realized that the recovery disks were never recorded to DVD.

      So, I figured, just go and buy the recovery disks. Well, I did, paying extra for 2-day shipping and when they were finally delivered and I attempted to perform the recover, I noted that it after disc 3 (of3) was finished, it prompted for a FORTH disk.

      Well, I won't go into details here, but just suffice to say, I will NEVER buy another Acer laptop again! WEll, at least their lower end units, WITHOUT purchasing the extra warranty.

      Acer sent me a second set, but refused to ship it expeditd or refund my 2day fees, when I asked for it. They have no way of taking care of customers. You get put over to India and have to get by their level/tier one techs that simply read off troubleshooting flow charts!

      After THREE sets of discs, all of which were sets of 3 discs (besided the 2 system and language discs) and ALL PROMPT for a DISC 4!!! Nobody at acer would believe me!!! I had to finally convince them that it was NOT a hardware issue by installing a RETAIL copy of WIN7HomePrem and proving all was fine and that they needed to readdress the recover disc for my particular model of laptop!!

      Well, longer story shortened, the lower right control key popped off and I couldn't get it back on... so that got them to finally issue a RMA!

      I am extremely disappointed with the customer care service provided by Acer Computers. I received my computer back today after its second visit to the repair centre. It would not start as there was no hard drive in it. The situation now is that myself and the technician at the local computer shop are 99% sure that the hard drive was in when it first went to be repaired now over a month ago.
      Initially I bought the product from a reliable shop and within two months it started going into sleep mode. After this happened 3 times it did not start up at all. I took it back to the local shop where the technician informed me that it was a hard ware problem and so would have to be returned to the manufacturers. He transferred my information off my hard drive onto another computer. I watched him replace the hard drive and seal the unit up again. I can remember the situation very well.
      I tried to return the computer to Acer in early January. DHL did not turn up on the first scheduled day and did not call to explain why. I rearranged the pick up and the computer arrived with you on 14th January. I was told it would probably take a week to resolve.
      After two to two and half weeks, I emailed the customer service department. The email bounced. I tried again and after a week of not receiving a reply I tried to call. I have still not had a reply to my email.
      The first time I called I was told Acer were waiting on spare parts and I should continue to wait. I called again a few days later and after getting fed up with the same phrases being read from a card I asked to speak to a manager who quickly decided that I shouldn't have been waiting for so long. He told me he would call me back within three days but when he did I was out and he did not leave a message on my machine.
      I called again and was told that the computer would be back with me within 3 - 7 days. I asked why the manager had not called me back and it was it explained that he had. I left my mobile number this time and asked for the manager to call me back the next day - he did not.
      The computer was returned from Acer last Thursday and still had the same problem. I called Acer again was told that nothing could be done other than send the computer back, the manager at the Indian call centre told me the same so I finally insisted on being put onto someone else. I spoke to Jo in Plymouth who seemed particularly disinterested in the situation. She suggested, if I was not happy with the computer, I should take it back to the shop I bought it from. She said she would send details of how to get it back to Acer, which she did, and details of how to complain, which she did not. I returned her email asking for the email address of where to complain - not realising it was the same email but she has still not replied.
      I wrote my first letter of complaint and was told that I would hear from Melanie Knight in ‘about 10 days’. I have also asked to speak to Ms. Knight on the telephone but she is always too busy to speak with me.
      As I have said above I now have the computer back but not working. I phoned Acer to ask what the problem might be and they could not help. I had to go to the local computer shop to be told that the hard drive was missing. I rang Acer again, and spoke to Jo again. She was again spoken to in a patronising manner. She claimed must have been taken out when I took it to have the hard drive copied because the machine could not be tested properly because the hard drive was missing. As I pointed out though if the machine had been tested properly on its first visit they would not have been able to test the machine and so either the hard drive was mislaid at their repair centre or it was not tested properly the first time it was with them. I was told that they did not need the hard drive to test it properly but that raises the question as to why they needed it the first time but not the first. Is the testing inconsistent? There was no note of the hard drive being missing the first time it was with them.
      My most recent conversation was with Rick who stated that it was no longer their problem and they were no longer prepared to help with this matter. So I am left with a laptop and no hard drive. The local shop have scoured there place and there is no sign of the hard drive there.
      I think you would agree that the overall level of service has been very poor, not just from one area of the Acer business. I have repeatedly asked for help as I run a small business and this has caused a lot of extra time, expense and stress.
      I have had to wait in on four occasions now from 9 - 5 each time for collections or deliveries from DHL. This means I have to cancel teaching work and so lose money.
      I have spent approximately 4 hours on the phone at different times which stops me getting on with paid work
      I am struggling to do my work on a very old, slow computer which results in me spending more time on each piece of work and having to wait until 10 - 11 p.m. for this computer to be free for me to do my work.
      I am always met with the same attitude that 'there is nothing you can do'. Well in my business that pathetic attitude does not hold water. There are things you could have done but chose not to. They could have arranged for a local company to supply me with a temporary computer, compensate for any inconvenience, replace the hard drive at no cost, or actually do what you say you will do in the first place.
      Please advise as to whether you think you will be able to help me in this matter. Thank you for your time.

      I have bought a Laptop (ASPIRE 5740) on April 16, 2010, and after that i had word with "PRAGYA" she told me that you have to pay 4400Rs for two years extended warantee. I had made a payment on April 28, 2010. After that every day i followup for the same but i have not recived any confirmation, everyday i callup customer care but i have not recived any resolutoins till now, Daily your customer care excutive commit a call back to be but no one call me. I told the same issue to Himanshu and when i again called up he was not picking my call.

      I have Acer Laptop in warranty period, i have battery problem but company said that the battery is all right and ask no for replace so what is further step ?

      on10th may, 2010 i gave my acer laptop aspire 5920 at your authorised service centre located at chenoy trade centre, with a problem that the charging was not happening continously/ consistently, there was breakage in the power supply to the laptop.

      at the time of submitting the laptop the system had gone dead. was promised delivery in one day but i got it back after three days.i was charged Rs. 5500/- on account of some motherboard fault which i paid without any hesitation.

      there only on checking the system, the charging problem was ok when checked with their adapter, but i found the system operating system was giving some errors, the speakers were not working properly and the system was not getting shut down. when asked the incharge why all the problems she very promptly replied you format your system everything will be fine with a clear intention of putting the whole responsibility to me.

      also my system was used to do some of their personal work, to be precise burning of a DVD with certain pictures and videos, which i checked only when i came back home. as advised i formatted my system and reloaded the drivers.
      1. Still the problem of the speakers was not solved.
      2. also noticed was that the body panel of the sysytem has been disturbed, it is not closing smoothly.
      3. and the same charging problem still persists even after payment 05 5500/- .
      4. certain drivers are not working properly after several attempts of installation like the LAN drivers.


      with all these complains i called up the centre and informed the lady incharge there that i amstill having problems and as i am out of station for a 10 days, i would come back and show it to u. she again replied that they have just worked on the charging problem and not done anything else and asked me to reformat the system. anyhow on coming back to hyderabad ivisted the service centre again on 01st june 2010 and subsequently. but there no one is ready to agree that they dint sort out the problem and are now stating some new errors in the hardware and software.

      all these problems were not there at any time before the system eas given to the service centre.

      also numerous attempts to meet the head/ manager of the centre have goen waste.

      i request you to kindly look into the matter requiring utmost urgent action and help me rectify the system back to normal functioning and see into the matter over unnecessary payment taken from me.

      Acer — Monitor problem

      I have purchased 3 nos. of Acer brand monitor and all under warranty till date.But all the 3 are in problem with the display,once we registered the complaint with Acer, their service personnel visited and claims that these are all physically damaged and not covers warranty.
      Which is not a physical damage at all.Because the liquid is leaking inside the display and it is moving all the areas of the monitor, if it is damaged physically,it should be in one point only.Kindly help me in this regard.

      We have supplied 5 laptops to a customer which is a non-profitable social organization. all the laptops having different type of issues like wifi not working drivers support for xp , adapter problem ,external monitor(projector) port not working etc. The call center is sheer waste. they repeat only what has been in their policy not bothered about the customer issues. it takes hours to get them online and you have to repeat your entire history several time since the call disconnects very often. Never going to buy acer products here after

      My acer laptop Aspire 4736 started giving me ample of problems .i stronly discourage everybody to boycott acer products as it is simply not worth having a problematic product. i have barely used it. i contacted the vashi service center to solve my problem of fixing the HDMI port . all they did was increase my blood pressure. after ample of calling and shouting and getting insulted at by the service people, i got my laptop back after a month. after a week my sound port started giving me problems and then subsequently my laptop stopped charging.i then contacted their andheri service center as the vashi one proved useless. they took the laptop kept it for another month . i tried calling and tried to follow up on the status of my product but they wouldn't answer the phone. finally after two months i got my laptop back only to see that the fix was temporary. the charger port has again stopped working and they have also damaged my screen. they have stretched this and now my warranty has also expired. i have tried contacting them but to no avail. please avoid acer itis the worst.!!!!

      First the battery of the lap top was replaced by your service center.
      Second time charger was replaced .
      Again third time the charger was replaced.

      Every time your service centre personal had informed me that i will receive SMS very shortly and giving me the Serial No of my complain and the address of Service Center.
      However after the lapse of four days so far I have not recd. the service log in reference no.
      Today at last when I became angry with your personal who had attanded the call on the same toll free no. than only he he had given me ther complain no. which is as follows:[protected] dt. 21-9-10.
      Sir now you can your-sel[censored]nderstand the delay taking place in providing this basic information.
      Now How much time more your Acer MUMBAI office will take in replacing the said non-working lap-top charger.
      Further please note that the speaker of this lap top is also not working properly.
      Secondly battery back of time is now 10 min (that is only after a use of 2 and half year) and that too after one time replacement of Battery by your Service Centre.
      It seems that some bad quality spares are being used by your Service Centre personal.
      Please look in the matter and see that the proper service is given to Your Valued purchaser of LAP TOP here in INDIA.

      If I had seen this little earlier I would have been escaped by the right royal rape of ACER. I bought the ACER lap top which crashed, Machine is lying idle for more than a month in there service center. Third rated and shame less company they do not have any conscious and business scruples. They take end user for a comfortable ride.
      i gave my acer 4753z aspire battery to service centre in guwahati.it has been more than 1 month but still then when i call up da service centre they always reply it will take sometimes.thank god it is not a motherboard, if it had been a motherboard it will take more than 5 years to replace.i hope and pray that 1 day the concerned authority will read my message and try to rectify their problem.

Since then there hasn't been any positive response from the service centre & they had not returned the adaptor to me. Moreover they had shown that I've received the adaptor. I want that some strict action should be taken against them.

      I had purchase a laptop on 25 August 2011 And I found one of my speaker is not working from very first day.

      I had booked a complain for acer keyboard not working on 1st of october. On 4th of october engineer came at my office because the product was in onsite warranty.
      Engineer told me parts will come in 3 days and some one would come back and fix it.

        This is MIMLY DUTTA , i had bought my laptop of the model ACER 3684 - N W X C i bearing the serial no. LXAZLOCO337140D16L2500 from SIMONY SYSTEMS AND SOLUTIONS PVT LTD , GUWAHATI on 14.07.07. But at present i'm not staying at GUWAHATI as i'm studying at ORISSA. So provide me the solution to my problem and also the information about the nearest dealer or service centre as soon as possible. Now the problem is that on turning on the laptop , no files or icons and drives can be accessed and even a sound comes when we place it on a desk or plane surface , while if we slightly tilt it or bend it , the sound doesn't comes , so how long can one hold it in such posture and do any work .         I have purchased an acer laptop from Vele Peripherals, 48/167, Sivananda Colony, Coimbatore. As on when they receive the cash from me they (acer) shouts back even on my first call nor turned up to see what is wrong with my computer. I dont know how they are going to survive in India. Maybe because they must have thaught they can fool all indians..
        Recently I've purchased an ACER Aspire 4720 having Serial No. LXAMP0Y[protected].

        After using the same for 2 days it was suddenly throwing a problem and regarding that I've logged a complain to ACER customer care vide complain ID[protected],RMA-D8611716. The first problem was that the system was constantly being hanged in each and every startup and it is to be restarted. But after restart it's again hanged. After that the problem is been solved by formatting the drive against the cost of my valuable documents. Then a second problem has occured again regarding the USB port malfunction and after complain they again provided me the same complain id and convinced me to chage the mother board. Now after changing the mothr board the Laptop is not getting started atall. So now I'm in a real fix that what to do with this kind of service quality and material what ACER is providing. Please help me regarding this.

        I have a strange problem with my acer 5571. Sometimes after startup there is no sound from the headphones. No matter how many times I restart it after that the sound still does not come out of the headphones. I had my mainboard replaced for this reason during the warranty period. However a month after the replacement the problem has resurfaced. Now my warranty period has lapsed and acer service is not entertaining my requests.

        Hi, I have Acer Aspitre[protected] laptop and I am trying to format it. I go to the command prompt and type formar C:, it keeps teeling me that this utility shouldbe runnung in elevated mode. What should I do. I always get a message telling me "Begining dump of memory", my laptop infected with a virous thats why I need to format it. Then I can put everything back to my laptop.         Company : ACER, Product : Laptop 5920 — Replacement Under Warranty

        I bought a ACER Laptop 5920 (invoice no.4123 dated 26th May'08) from Acer's authorised dealer from Dehradun"Comp Care". It worked well 13 days and after that it's display went off.

        I took the Laptop to ACER service center at Bareilly and after 3 days they told me that the problem is in "inverter port" and they have to import it from Bangalore. After 9 days they told me that " no no. the problem is in LCD." and now they have to import this part also which again may take SEVERAL days.

        So overnight from Bareilly I brought the laptop their shop after the shopkeeper told me that the problem would be solved in 2-3 days but it did not happened.

        Then they told me that it will be repaired by 20th June. Again I came all the way from Bareilly to Dehradun and they showed up and told me that now it will be OK by 24th but as usual it didn't happened.Then they told me that even we haven't received the part yet and delayed it further.

        No proper response has been observed till now and they are not even picking up the Phone.

        Acer- Aspire Laptop — Dealer ruining laptop

        My laptop's DVD burner was not working. I took the same to High Tech Computers, Bandra, Mumbai, India. They asked me to keep the laptop for the day to fix the problem. I did the same for 4 continuous days. And at the end of it, they somehow, managed to ruin the laptop completely. It does not respond to any action currently, and shows up lines on startup.         I have just purchase a new ACER Laptop Aspire 4720Z... The notebook worked fine for a month, then .the DVD Drive stopped working. A week later the battery showed signs of getting discharged immediately. Took the notebook to the service center in Andheri (Mumbai) where they replaced the DVD Writer. For the battery I was told I have to download some applications and then the battery would work fine. It's been 3 weeks already I have downloaded the application, but the problem still persists. When i contacted the helpline number, they said, someone will get back to me in a week's time. It's more than than 2 weeks now and there is no sign of that phone call.

        The service centre says they cannot touch the laptop until they get instructions from the service center.

        Now being a customer, I would like to know... HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO SOLVE A COMPLAINT. If this is the pace at which Acer is operating, I am sure you will go down in history for the slowest customer support provider... !!

        I purchased an Acer ferrary a year ago and paid around $3000, last OS disc, so the laptop drive crashed once and I order a set of recovery discs from Acer, but they sent me Norton ghost image, instead of OS or an OEM disc.
        the ghost image disc worked once but again had the same problem which laptop won't boot and complain about missing system 32 file which only can be find on original disc, I called them several times wasted my time and put lots of charges on my cellphone bill, even sent tones of email but didn't get any results, Acer technical support department really suck they even don't have enough knowledge about computers. they just playing game over and over.

        i gt an acer aspire laptop from jamshedpur, from an acer dealer on 19-06-07. the system was problem free for the first 8-10 months after which it started giving problems, notably battery backup and formatting.

        i am a student currently based in vellore. last year my power button also started giving me a lot of problems. i had to hold it down for quite some time before the system starts. i went to a qualified acer service centre in vellore (fox plus computers as seen in the acer site). the people there were very rude, and made me run a kot of times before giving me my laptop back. and evn whn i got my laptop back, the button was still not working hw it used to. after a lot of argument and literally shouting, i was charged rs 500 for doing practically nothing on the laptop.

        and the latest problem, my screen cracked, without falling once. i was playing a game on my system when i took a break for 10 minutes. when i resumed i saw my lcd scrren had cracked, which gradually spread.

        i am not going to the fox plus somputers again because they dont know how to behave with customers. its ironical taht acer prides itself on delivering excellent customer care. i found it pointless to argue afetr a time. things had gone ugly with the service centre people shouting that i was accusing them of thieving and cheating the customers.

        please help, i am in a predicament. i sent a mail to the acer people without any reply being sent.

        acer 4720z — getting hanged

        hi i'm using acer 4720z for past one year.now i'm facing new problem like the system getting started normally and we can run any application, everything working fine but after 5 min its getting hanged ..even if i press ctrl+alt+del its not working.i cant able to shutdown the system .. i directly switched off the power.again if i start the system for first 5 min its working normally and again hanged..please provide me the solution???????????

        Hello I bought the aspire4702z one year ago and untill recently it has worked fine. I can no longer turn the laptop on, at first i was having to press the power button for twenty minutes untill it would turn on now it wont turn on at all. Is there something I can try to do my self or am I going to have to bring it somewhere to have someone work on it.

        i have purchased the acer laptop model ASPIRE5920, at the time of delivery only the delaer took three to four attempts to load the acer drivers from acer driver cd. when i tried to start the coputer in safe mode is is not starting in safe mode. while working a blue screen comes saying problem occured and system restarts. there are problems from the first day
        when i talked to delaer he has not given answers satifactorly, he reformated the pc 3/4 times, tried his expertise still the problem exists. i am very unhappy with acer laptop.

        I would like to bring this to your kind attention, that I purchased my
        laptop on 1st January 2009 from vaibhav solutions, Carlton towers Bangalore
        for a price of INR 30, 000 with S. No. LXARE0C0198422B46B2500 and I
        committed the biggest mistake of my life, Upon using it for just 20 days I
        started facing problems with my machine. This is a clear indication of how
        a branded company like ACER is making fool of innocent customers by giving
        them some stupid machine which starts behaving in a strange fashion in just
        20 days of purchase.

        Since the inception I am continuously in touch with the call centre guys
        and with Vaibhav solutions centre and seriously tired of their excuses.
        It's been five times in five months that I reported some or the other
        incident to them and still they are not able to fix up the issue

        I had bought Acer LAPTOP ASPIRE 4720Z last year. For first year it was working well, but as soon as its warranty expires, it started troubling me. It was getting turned off immediately after booting. I showed it to the dealer, they said it is because of overheating. They did some cleaning and then it was working fine again for a month or so. But from last one month again, if i starts virus scan, it is getting too much overheated and getting turned off again and CD drive is also not working. Its tray itself is not coming out, as it is disconneted while they did cleaning.

        As a customer, i would like to know, why we people are buying this laptop, for our convinience or for troubles.

        This is for your kind information that the laptop has one year warranty. Already 4 days are over without the laptop, it effected my work a lot. The delay in service is a major problem. Many of my friends shared the same experience with me regarding the service of acer. Because of recommendations of one of my friend I have opted for acer, else I had gone for other company.         Acer Aspire Laptop 5610 Series — Overheats and shuts down suddenly

        This laptop is 2 years old and overheats and shuts down suddenly! Tried using a cooling fan. Technician in IT dept. worked on it numerous times--cleaning vents for dust, deleted and reinstalled entire desktop...it spent more time in the shop than at home the past 6 months. Nothing helped.
