Dear Sir/Mam,
I have purchased a Laptop from Arihant Mercantiles, Kolkata on 1st January, 2010. I face problem on this after using nearly 1 month. Then I give it to the service center AFORESERVE COM LTD., C. R. Avenue. Room No: 13, 1st floor, kolkata-12 on 05/02/10. They said that you will get back within 7-10 days. But still now I don't get any response from them. Whenever I call them, they said that you will get it within next week. I talk to Mr. Koushik on 3th March (I called him before also), and he said you will get it day after tomorrow ( i.e. on 05/03/10). But when I call him today, he was out of office and from there someone said that he is on Holiday and he give you wrong information regarding availability of parts to be replace. Again I called to the service center about it and they said may be he (Mr. Koushik) give you wrong information but you will get it on Wednesday (possible).

    This side Avtar singh from Ludhiana.my son Mr. Gurwinkle singh was studied in newzeland on 2006 to 2008.now he is study in banglore.He have purchased Acer laptop model no. ACER ASPIRE 3620 from newzeland wide serial LXAA[protected]EkS00.problem is this that laptop parts needed to
    replaced are LCD panel, dezel,hinges,brackets.Your services center of
    banglore is recommended above these parts will change.My son many times visited
    to your service center in banglore and called up so many time to your's helpline no
    but all invain.I request you to help the repair of laptop in any condition so that
    my son not to face further problem in future also avoid inconvinence in studies
    If you have any old acer laptop which is working fine that we can afford from you
    in favour of my son's laptop and some money we ready to pay.Kindly help to a
    student which is climbing his ambition without any problem.waiting for your

      acer aspire 5738z notebook — notebook malfunction

      I had brought an Acer aspire 5738z laptop from GHG Softech, e-mall, Kolkata.
      The laptop keypad started malfunctioning from the very next day. I had to replace it. Just after one year, when the warranty period expired, it started malfunctioning again. Now it has become a headache. My question is... "Do most of the acer laptops behave in the same way??"

        i purchased an ACER laptop from Singapore in feb this year. It stoped working in sep.

        I contacted local service centre, they told it is the problem with mother board. i contacted

        the cosmercare for international warrenty service.They are telling that, I must have a

        work permit for singapore. I am a seaman I dont have any work permitt for singapore.

        What should I do?
        ACER is the worst company in terms of providing services, they just sell the product and do not worry about customer complains after that...
        On13th May 2011 i had logged a complain on acer service station contatct number - [protected] request number[protected] as half of my laptop screen had turned white in colour and i am unable to view the data.Although my laptop is under warrenty still past one month I am chasing the entire team and service centre at Andheri .I had made numerous calls but of no use. sent mails on acer.[protected]@intarvo.com on 6th June and another on 10th June,but this is of no use. non of the person is replying to the mail.

            ACER monitor — not providing service

            i have complaint agst. my Monitor which i have taken in last month that Model No. G195HQ, Serial No. ETLK20c0050130E0dd4003. your service centre is not providing support to us. last day i have talk to Mrs. Shukla over phone[protected] and she assured to solve our probs today but now no one use to talk with us as well as to solve our probs.
            i am very worried to face the problem from Monitor Model No. 6195HQ serial No. ETLK20C0050130e0dd4003. because i have taken it for last month and we are facing problem and your calcutta based authorised service centre not providing the proper service to us.
            I am facing the same problem with my monitor. The call center guys diconnect the call. They are not giving service. I am from mumbai. ETLN70C[protected]C4000 is my monitor's serial number.

              i mohammed sameer purchased acer laptop ASPIRE 4736 a month before and i suddenly notice a mic problem when i was gone for voice chat, i come to know it has problem, i can listen the opposite persons voice but he cannot listen my voice properly it was so damaged voice cant understand any thing .i have gone to service center also but they also cant understand the problem.ihave done all the following things which i have told to do
              1.i formate the laptop
              2 i installed mic drivers from net
              3 i have gone to service center thrice
              now tell me what should i do to get it done .and i was very upset with your service

                Dear all.

                i bought a laptop Acer Aspire 5738 serial no LXPAK0X00492414E442000 on 03rd of october 2009. there is a cut mark on the carry bag. and i have shown the cut marks to the dealer .(Johar Computers, sec 15, Chandigarh, India. they are holding the Acer point franchise). after 2 months even they have not changed the carry-bag. for last 2 days they are not picking the phone even. his phone no is [protected].

                i am feeling very frustrated,i do not know what to do now. i am a research scholar in chandigarh. i am hardly having the time to trace back the complaints, and Johar Computers is not co-operating to change the bags. i do not know how and where to make the complaints about this

                    Hi All,

                    Firstly I am very new to this forum. But I found this site very informative and great help for consumers like us.

                    My issue is with Acer Laptop (Model: Acer Extensa 5630). Everyone should be bewaring because there's an Inbuilt Problem with this particular model. Service Center people accepted verbally but denied giving and written.

                    Problem is with LAN Port/ Motherboard/ Design (I am not sure about the exact problem). All the owners of "Acer Extensa 5630" please check your Laptop. Whenever your Audio is on (Music, Movie, TV, etc) and if you are trying to connect to Internet through LAN (As i haven't tried WLAN, am not sure if same problem occurs) you can hear the strange sound & Flickering in Monitor while LAN is trying to acquire IP. Same strange sound and Flickering happens when you plug-out the LAN OR simple if Internet is gone while Music is still on. It can also cause Hanging of your Laptop, as my system used to hang some time when used to some heavy/multiple program.

                    Actually I purchased "Acer Extensa 5630" Laptop on 3rd October 2009 and found above mention problem in that. I handed over laptop to service center on 11th November and after that they made my life complicated. In brief, no time frame to resolve the problem, no response of my phone calls (Not only from Service Center but also from Toll Free All India Service Center), no response of my mails, etc. etc... Once the service centre people accepted verbally the problem and said it common with this particular model and nothing to worry, when asked the same in written they denied it. They were simply not able to solve the problem.

                    As they have a tendency to give false promises and not responding to customer’s query. On 16th November they promised me solution by 18th November, which as usual never happened. I got frustrated and started running out of option so, on 19th November I mailed them and asked for the solution in another 24 hour and in this particular mail I mentioned it very clearly that if not I will left with no option but to go to consumer court but sadly they even didn’t bothered to respond to that mail (no phone calls, no email).

                    On 21st November the call center people (All India Helpline No) gave me another set of email id and promised for prompt reply, I believed them and forwarded them the email but sadly no response (no phone calls, no email).

                    Before going to consumer court i.e. on 24th November I thought let try to find the solution again, I called All India Helpline Number but there was no proper response.

                    So, finally on 25th November I decided enough is enough and filled the case in Consumer Court.

                    Case No.: 2768, Bangalore Urban, Consumer Forum.

                    Now after getting notice from Consumer Forum they started calling me and started saying they have the updated driver now, bring your Laptop we can resolve issue now.

                    Here, I am still not sure whether they have a real solution or not or this just another lie but after going through all these I do not wish to have their product at all. Please guide me as I have mention in my Prayer at Consumer Forum for refund of money, how to prove my point as I don’t want to hire a Lawyer for this case. In my appeal to consumer forum I have submitted a copy of those emails.

                    Please guide me.

                      A month back, i bought a Acer Laptop from Modern Computers Chennai (AshokNagar Branch). I face the following problem,

                      Video files and audio songs are not playing properly in both dvd mode and hard disk mode (Hard disk mode - copy the entire dvd contents in to local hard disk), I am using VLC player and Window Media player,

                      If i am playing songs, it give acoustic sound.

                      If i am playing any video files, it should get stuck and play and produce acoustic sound

                      I tried this for more than 50 Original DVD's, but still i face the same problem

                      i contact the acer customer serice, they immediately change mother board, but still i am facing the same problem

                        Hi,

                        I bought this laptop Acer Aspire 4736 (T6600 Intel core 2 duo) few months back.
                        I have installed XP in it and I don;t know why there seems to be a problem with the machine.

                        If it is running for some time its processes abruptly become slow... even if it is not runnin anything which required a lot of memory or CPU.. Even if there is no process running in the background the whole system stays like this and will not get back to normal if i donot restart the system.

                        The graphics respond slowly, the players start singing songs as if some old creepy record which has gone really slow and bad is playing.
                        The only way to solve this for me is to restart the computer... which i cannot keep on doing every now and then. I haven;t seen this problem anywhere in any laptop and I'm sure its not virus or anything.
                        I am fedup of this problem coming every now and then. Anybody has any idea. Please share.

                        i agree with you bro.same problem here.it kinda annoying actually.until now, i really dont know what causes this kind of behavior.it is still a mystery
                        Sasme problem. I have recently bought acer 4736 which comes with pre-installed win 7. Apart from win 7, I have also installed win xp and while I am in XP, it behaves the same way, gets very slow after some time. any solution?

                          i purchased acer 5738g with nvidia geforce g105m graphic card.while playing games like NFS HOT PURSUIT,PRINCE OF PERSIA etc it shuts down within 15min of playing game.
                          dude even mine is also the same u cant really question about that .even for me it used to shut down, but i heard that wen u use a laptop cooler or some thing to cool ur lappy ur temperature really falls down and ur system wont shut down

                            I am a satisfied consumer of Acer aspire 5738 notebook, but when i install Windows7 in to my computer i forgot to partition my drive. So i lose my some important Drivers and Softwares, They are :
                            1-NVIDIA Gforce G105M graphic card driver(CUDA 512mb)
                            2-ACER ARCADE DEULUXE Software
                            Without these drivers i cant access my computer properly. So please consider and give me suitable advises for get back these drivers. Hopefully , Boby Mathew.Kerala

                            Acer acer computer windows 7 — software and computer

                            I bought this package in 2010 for my partner who is recovering from cancer ( and now has other possible bad health issues) 1n the first twelve months I have had to have a second hand replacement printer and two new hard drives . And that was only after I took on Comet with the help of the local press . Now after a power cut i have used my downloaded backup discs to reinstall the computor. Now it saying copy of windows is not genuine". I have spoken with Microsoft and Acer, the best I got was to part with £51 pounds to purchase install Disc(s) from you.I have had 18months of grief with this computor , would you be kind enough to help me with this ,Im unemployed.
                            A one off breakdown is reasonable but not the problems ive had with it

                              I am myself a dealer in Electronics and had purchased below mentioned Acer laptop (Travel Mate 5730) from you which is still having LCD problem since purchase date .The problem started with in the same month of purchase Date . I have visited service center thrice with Case ID [protected] and OL:[protected] ,which took months for spare part (LCD) as per Newtech services . Now again i am facing the same problem from last 15 days . This clearly indicates that i have received a defected peace and has a pernial problem .. Since i use this for my shop database and MIS , i am losing business .Therefore i demand Acer to replace this peace with a brand new acer

                              acer/ travelmate5730 — screen defect

                              I, have recently purchased a acer travelmate 5730(sl.no.LXTQ20C[protected]A02000, MODEL.N0 .MS2231) but now there is a display problem.When i turn on my system instead of a normal boot screen a white screen appears with colored vertical lines, the os runs normally behind the screen, nothing is visible.When i restart my system it becomes normal.

                              Acer Travelmate 5730 — Requesting replace of defected laptop

                              Dear sir,

                              I have purchased an acer laptop from 'Genuine Computers, Bagga Market, Rajkamal square, Amravati, State: Maharashtra' (on date 10th Mar 2009).
                              The laptop specifications are:
                              Model code: ACER Travelmate 5730
                              The issue with this laptop is, it's screen blinks such that one can't view the picture.
                              This is the third time I am facing the same problem even after two repairs.
                              This happened within 5 months since the date of purchase. And because of this I was not able to use the laptop properly.

                              I think the laptop I purchased is defected, because even after two repairs from acer service center it is giving the same problem again and again.
                              I want the laptop is to be replaced instead of repairing the same piece again.
                              I hope you will take this matter very seriously and will help me by taking some action.

                              Acer Travelmate 5730 — Bad Bad Product

                              Bought Acer Travelmate on 31-3-09 and it had problems when I first time booted it. The cusrsor jumped - uncontrollably, screen went blank, speakers were bad, and the scrolling facility of the touchpad did not work. I spent next two months practically at the Acer Service Center. Mother board, display, touchpad, etc. were replaced, drivers were reloaded, HDD was reformatted and .. settings were changed several times. The laptop was sent to the Company HQ too. Nothing helped.
                              The worst was yet to come.
                              The laptop was replaced with a so-called new one. And, magic !!! The new laptop had all the problems which the first one had. My nightmare was yet to end. The customer sercice manager of Acer blamed me for the problems. After another 2 months, he reluctantly agreed to replace the laptop yet again.
                              The third laptop had all the signs of having been repaired earlier. I refused to accept it. Finally, after much fighting and struggle, I was refunded the value less VAT and value of extra 2GB RAM.
                              I would caution all to exercise caution.

                              Acer Travelmate 5730 — Screen Problem

                              When start laptop at some angle screen becomes white with line. Please let me know if there is any solution or some one repair this.

                                Complaint for Desktop Not repaired by Acer Company and Service Center

                                I am from abhishek sales corporation and I purchased Acer Desktop last year in December. I got some problem in it d its LAN and DVD writer is not working properly last 20 days continuously. I had looked compliant on dated[protected] to Acer Customer care support they referred to our Support centre next day service engineer visited my office and said DVD Writer need to be Changed. After one day he came to my office and said your Compliant has been canceled because your desktop is out of warranty but I feel that one month left being out to warranty. Now system is break down and they said we con’t do anything. Pls guide me in this matter for further action. I'll be very thankful to u guys.

                                ACER DESKTOP — without concent changing the bank account

                                Dear..

                                This is bring to your notice, that Bajaj Finance has cheated us, They took my two cheques of different bank account after 5 bouces i get to know that they have changed my bank account.

                                Now, i need to close this loan, nobody is supporting, neither telling us what amount to pay. and charging more.. they kept my name on CIBIL i had paid all amount and i havae the receipt..

                                I have purchased one desktop of acer from Arcee( Nerul).6 months back.Facing multiple probles of hard disc,mother board,cd drive.From last one month it is not working.

                                ACER DESKTOP — 145-50411 WE2152/40 CPU TAKEN FOR MOTHER BOARD REPL

                                I had a boot on problem with my ACER DESKTOP which is on extended warranty. On registering the complaint (no. 889), the cpu was taken by service personnel and even after 3 weeks, the service request is not yet handled. Every day I am being said, the part is not available.

                                Acer — DESKTOP & keyboard

                                Sl.no AWI45GD002B0821783E is not working properly. It is out of service since yesterday,and this product is under warranty period up to 16/03/2014. And another keyboard sl. no.[protected] also under warranty period.

                                  I bought an acer netbook(MODEL AOD250) on 31 oct 2009. The next day i found that the machine hangs if you try to play songs. When i took the machine back to the seller ( Its acer distributor located in Aundh, Pune) they said its because of virus, so they formatted the machine and reinstalled windows. But the problem persisted, then i was told it has some problem with the speaker. The machine was connected to external speakers and even that could not help. All this Cleary showed that the machine has a problem with the underlying hardware.

                                  I asked for a replacement as my machine is only a week old and i have not paid for a new netbook and not for a repaired piece. The acer dealer is not listening to me and is instead putting the blame that the machine has been mishandled and she disconnected the line showing no interest in looking into the matter.

                                  Now its almost 10 days that my machine is lying with these people and my work is held up. I am doing a consult project for a US based firm and any delay in the delivery would affect my revenues as well as my client relations. I would like acer to bear all these costs as they gave me an unreliable and faulty machine.

                                  Dear Sir/Madam,

                                  I have purchased ACER Laptop Model 4736-Z bearing sl no- LXPFZOC[protected]E11601 and another identification no as BT[protected]C165B204 on[protected] .(copy of proof of purchase submitted) And the laptop was working fine till[protected] when to my surprise it refused to boot and I had lodged a complaint with customer care vide no[protected] and have subsequently handed over the laptop to you, later i was informed that the laptop had developed issues with mother board and as the laptop is in warranty would be replaced and i have patiently waited till 7-9-2010 when the laptop was handed over to me .
                                  Adding to my agony the laptop, after replacing the mother board again refused to load the os on[protected] and i have again lodged a complaint with ACER Customer Care vide no[protected] and have again handed over the laptop to you on[protected], now to my surprise your competent engineer first identified the issue to be hard disk and later after 2 days changed the version stating that the issue lies with the mother board .
                                  Since then i have been regularly following up with you regarding the status of the said laptop and further as per your advise have also spoken to one Ms vinoda on[protected] on[protected] and she promised to keep me updated about the status of the laptop by evening 6.00pm, which as usual she failed to respond to me and when i tried reaching you by 6.30pm on[protected]/[protected]/[protected] i was informed by your staff that you have left for the day .
                                  And today i.e[protected] have spoken to Vinoda on the above said number and she has assured me of fixing the issue with out confirming the date.
                                  Could you Please be kind enough to explain me, "how can the mother board develop issue with in 5 working days after replacing it, and if so what are the quality parameters ACER india is following? " now i am afraid about what would happen when i receive my laptop is the BIG Question which still stands unanswered.

                                    I purchased a Acer brand Laptop Model no. 4530, two months ago from your shop at Wanawadi, with reference from Mr. Rajiv Geol who is the Regional Service head of a reputed mobile brand, and one of my acquaintance Mr. Shakoor Ustad from M/s Sharp Travel ( Nana Peth, Pune ) who know the owner of Data care Mr. Mhaskeji since last 20 yrs.

                                    I am your first time buyers of Acer brand, whilst the initial purchase experience was good but was let down by a major fault in the set. Previously was using Dell 620 and was satisfied with the product and the onsite after sales services.

                                    The sequence of the problem is as follows.

                                    1) First complaint dated 01.09.2009, No.[protected]……………this complaint was cancelled because I have was on business tour and could not attend the service centre in time.

                                    2) Second complaint dated 08.10.2009 No.[protected]………..Here major fault was diagnosed and Main board of the laptop was to be replaced.

                                    Nature of Fault:- The laptop charges till 91% and then stop charging even though the adaptor is on, then the lap top works for 1hrs on battery and gives indication for low battery ………and shut down even though the adaptor is ON. I have to again restart the laptop and then the charging starts……..all the time I have to do this after every 1 hr…I am fed up with this fault. And this fault was shown to Mr. Rao from New Tech, Andheri ( E ).

                                    Since the fault was diagnosis at as major fault that too within 1-months of purchase, I request nothing less than replacement with a packed piece and additional warranty. Attached is the Job card for your kind reference.

                                    I own an acer aspire 5920 am so damn pissed with the utter disregard of ethical compliance with Acer that i cannot pen down in words.
                                    One month into my warranty expiry, imy laptop screen began to show problems, i contacted acer customer care & they gave me the no. of the nearest service centre of acer in DC Delhi, when i showed them the problem they initally made a reply that possibly the invertor issue has cropped in resulting in this mess.
                                    A week later they informed me that it was a problem with the entire LCD & that they need to replace it for 15 thousand bucks.I was not willing to pay this amt. so i took it back frm them . When i showed my Laptop toa lcal vendor who repairs Laptops, they informed that the service centre people had messed wid the entire system & not only had replaced The LCD but also damaged the Fl & some internal ckt on purpose, I was bewildered with this response& when i saw the evidence i was supremely convinced as well.

                                    I intend to sue acer for this pathetic attitude of their's in a matter of days
                                    I already have the necassary documentation supporting this fact, If there is no action taken i Intend to go to any lengths to get justice
                                    My dearest request to all & every indivisual PLS DONT BUY AN ACER LAPTOP ...horrible customer service & Xceptionally bad service centre people who have ruined my money, time & sanity for such a simple issue...i intend to get to the bottom of it no matter what

                                    ACER AS 4530 — BREAKDOWN OF LAPTOP - NOT ATTENDED

                                    I had purchased Acer AS 4530 Laptop about two years back. Recently there is problem of "No Display". I have approached M/s. Acer Technoloties, authorised Acet Customer Service Centre for repairing the same. The Laptop was delivered to them under Chalan No. 6037 on 15/10/2010 for repairing. On 18/10/2010 it was informed me that there is problem with Processor and same is required to be replaced. They have submitted quotation for Rs. 7200 + 5% Tax vide email dated 18/10/2010 for my confirmation which was confirmed by me immediatelhy.
                                    Thereafter it was informed to me that the processor will be obtained by them from their Banglore Office within a weeks time. Subsequently it was also informed to me that the said part has been dispatched from Banglore. However today i.e. on 03/11/2010 it was informed to me that said part is not aavailable.
                                    I am surprised to know that such a intarnational company is not providing after sales service promptly and putting their customers in trouble for weeks together.

                                    Till today my laptop is not got repaired and even I get back my laptop unrepaired, how I can confirm and assures that my laptop and internal parts have not been removed / replaced by inferior quality parts because I can not start my laptop and check whether is working properly.

                                    I requests to suggest any remeday and how to proceeds against Acer and also with their customer service centre.

                                      3 Months delay in problem rectification

                                      Hi,

                                      At our company (Zunotech Infosystems Prvt Ltd, Chennai) we have purchased 17 Acer monitors which are still under warrantly. On 28/07/2009 we registered a complaint ( No.[protected] and[protected] to report a montior display problem. Till date the problem has not be rectified. There is no timely communication from their Service Agents, and each time we have to do the follow ups. Their Service is Horrible....

                                      i have the acer aspire 5573 series laptop . in the starting of second year my laptop power button stopped working. so i have showed it to the Galaxy infotech meerut. to fix the problem. they took it to the acer authrized service center at meerut. they informed me that they have changed the whole chip to fix that problem & charged Rs. 1050. for that. but after 8-9 days the same problem occure . at that time i was in kota rajasthan. where i show my laptop to a computer guy which tells me that they haven't change the chip. totaly fraud.

                                      I am vipin, i bought a acer desktop one year before at Kaithamukku, Trivandrum, Kerala. Three months later a beep sound from processor and no display on monitor. I reported to the authorized service center, a service engineer came and clean the RAM, it began to run, two months later the same problem rises within the warranty period.RAM replaced, MOTHERBOARD replaced, after that completely dead.
