This is not the first time, I am complaining about a problem that I face constantly, again and yet again.
However this time it went overboard.

I bought an ACER laptop in October 2007.
Since I have started using it, I realized that it overheats itself. So much so, that it is impossible to even keep it on the lap and use it.
I have given it for servicing to ACER umpteen times. And it comes back with no difference what so ever.
From July 2008 to November 2008 I have been so troubled by this whole experience.
Your service to the customer is so bad, I can’t even begin to explain.( I am starting to detest) ACER
I once got my laptop back with the keyboard not working, the mouse not working. I had to arrange for external keyboard and mouse to be able to use the laptop to access important data.
It seems that you have no regards for anyone else’s time or convenience or peace.
To co-ordinate with the dealer, the service executive for constant updates and constant follow ups has been a mental torture, believe you me.
I will go to the level of saying that I was traumatized by the whole thing.
And the worst part is even though I have somehow managed to get my laptop back, it is still the same and overheats drastically.
After spending so much amount of money, all I get is a horrible product and even horrible service and practically snatching away my peace and sleep.

I do not know how to can take the consumer for such a ride.

I would like you to answer some questions for me please

Is this some kind of a joke?
If yes then is your sense of humour so bad?
Do you think you are the only player in the market to do what you like?
Do you think the customer is a fool?
Do you think the customer has no other job in the world other than to first get harassed and then complain and then follow up on the complains?
Do you think you are going to be able to compensate the customer for the time loss and the mental stress that you cause to the customer?

I shall await your response till the 4th of December 2008.
I better be compensated well.

I do not understand that in this age of social networking, and constant communication, how you let customers get so dissatisfied. Please understand that bad word of mouth can lead to severe damages.
If I do not receive satisfactory response, I am sorry to say, that I will have to take help of the media. And this you take it from me, that the media will help.
I will be forced to write product reviews on review sites. And well the power of google, and internet...well what can I say..
Negative publicity is not good publicity I hope you know that.
See, the thing is that please do not take me wrong. I do not wish to spread the bad word unless I am awfully forced to do so. And please do not take any of this as empty threats.

Also, I think you should stop proclaiming that you are a good company because according to me neither do you offer any functional benefit (horrible horrible horrible horrible product), nor any emotional benefit (don’t even get me started on that- I am already so stressed out by the customer “service” that you have “provided” )!!

I would like my issues to be PERMANENTLY RESOLVED -Or else, I am sorry to say, I would have to take drastic steps such as taking Acer India to court. I will soon be sending my lawyer with a legal notice.

This is not the first time, I am complaining about a problem that I face constantly, again and yet again.
However this time it went overboard.

I bought an ACER laptop in October 2007.
Since I have started using it, I realized that it overheats itself. So much so, that it is impossible to even keep it on the lap and use it.

This is Gyanendra Yadav, working with Government of Madhya Pradesh, as State MIS Manager in a project.



For my project, I bought a new ACER Aspire4530 laptop on 9th May 2009, Banglore and right after one week the laptop is not working properly like recording audio, webcam is not functioning, and CD ROM makig noice by shaking etc.



I have raised ticket[protected] on[protected] and was told to fix the problem at the nearest Acer service center. I went on[protected] with my laptop at "Compherals" Acer Service Center located at langford road, banglore .



Service center id (ACCID) - COM080 and they have given me a job no. 2241 on 24-06-09 and ask to collect the problems fixed laptop after two days.On reaching to the service center on 27-06-09 I was again told that to come after two more days i.e. on 30-06-09. On contecting "Compherals" I was told that there is a problem in motherboard and they are going to replace it so they are waiting for part from ACER since 10days.



On reaching this day to "Compherals" I was told that my laptop is repaired and ready to collect, when I checked for the problems which i had raised a ticket those are not solved. They did nothing with laptop except wasting my valuable time. I m badly need my laptop to complete one of my important projects.



I would like to know is there any way to handover my laptop back to the acer so that I can opt for other brands ...

Acer is the worst when it comes to after sales service. Also Acer is well-known for its defective products and never makes an effort to improve. Most customers get carried away by its low pricing. But its better spend a little more money and buy a better products of a better brand. Even I own an Acer Ferrari 4003Wlmi. I bought it for Rs.1 Lakh and spent Rs. 35000 in 4 years, only for repairs... even the Warranty extention would cost just a few thousands lesser. But there is no point as the service providers of Acer in bangalore are hopeless. For my horror the Motherboard is out of order now. If i intend to get it repaired i have to go through a lot of metal agony running behind the service provider to repair my laptop. Its better to trash this Acer stuff and buy some other laptop. I will never make the mistake of buying an Acer product again.

I purchase the acer laptop acer aspire 5920 from synergy information management pvt ltd. jayanagar, bangalore on 5-8-2008and on 5-8-2009 it had some problem.I took it customer service centre in bangalore COMPHERALS IN BANGALORE .THE PHONE IS 41526018/19/20.There the call co-ordinetor found that mother board problem and told me that it has to send it to chennai they will replace it and will be given to u within four days.I dont know what goal mal they did they gave me back after ten days and told me that to charge the battrey for 5 hours after going home and discharge.I did the same way they told.Now the laptop is not all working.Shall I Take this matter to consumer court or let me know your reply as eary as possible. Yes priyanka. I agree with your posting. I have the same problem with my acer aspire5920 laptop. I bought the same from computer gadgets, bangalore. now it is dead. Problem with mother board. Once i visit the acre service centre and they told me to change the motherboard without checking the laptop. Its realy horrible... Please friends... dont buy acer prodects in yor life...

I tried a lot to my level best, by installing drivers. My book problem wasn't resolved.

ACER the biggest headache one can buy..thats what me and my friends have faced..after i bought this laptop i have tried many a times to getthis problem solved..my screen turns black suddenly and i have to switch off my laptop before i can work again..this problem started a month after i purchased my laptop..the service centre in mangalore is horrible.. they got some part changed but still the problem persists..i'm so fed up that now i dont have any energy left to go and get it checked...the problem with my friend was her motherboard was giving her problem so the service executive again in mangalore got her a new motherboard for Rs.10, 000 but recently we came to know that a new motherboard was never installed instead the old one was repaired...DO YOU THINK WE ARE FOOLS...this is the last time i ever bought an Acer product.To hell with your making our life easier...its making us more and more busy and infuriated as well...if you cannot make your customers happy you may as well shut all the centres and stop making the gadgets...THE SERVICE CENTRE AT PVS CIRCLE MANGALORE IS A BIG FRAUD...BEWARE ALL...

I am ajay saini from delhi, i am using accer lcd 18inch.After 5 days one spot on display automaticaly & after 2 days it. become big & two more spot on screen.I complaint on your coustomer care & my complaint no. is[protected], but still after 20 days no response from your side i am talking with your cst. care executive but he says we can't help you any more & he cut the phone without any reply.Plz. tell me clearly otherwise i will go to consumer court.
What the above customers claim is absolutely true. I made a similar mistake of going for acer lap top. It worked well for 3 months and had frequent hanging problem. Once though shut down properly.refused to boot up next day. I tried my best it did not. Since it was under warranty period i took it to the authorised Acer clinic recommended by their Delhi office. They asked me to come after 2 days saying that it is OS problem. When I phoned up they said it is rectified and under Observation. Next day Iwas told that it is ready and I was asked to collect the laptop. In the presence of the service personnel it did not boot and the engineer told me that now it is hardware problem and hard disk is to be changed. and was asked to come after 4 days.

The behaviour of the personnel sounded equally arrogent and not even polite. I plan to put a sticker on my car " Beware. Please do buy Acer computer. Their service is horrible".

I truly agree every aspect of this mail. I still curse myself that I bought an Acer Aspire 5580, in September 2007, for 42 grand in Hyderabad. The dealer is Mr. KV Rao.
The dedicated service center is near Swarna Jayanti complex, Dhanaraju Apts, near Ameerpet, Sanjeevareddy road.
The servicing charges have come to 8000 rupees now and will be more as it crashed again after not more than 6 hours o[censored]se.

IT SUCKS !!!

I've tried to use good english, but Acer dosen't understand it.
Even my system overheats itself, and that is the least of the problems. It started screwing up about 6 - 8 months after purchase. I have serviced the thing 3 times in the warranty period. There is a long list of issues and I'll state it all, even if it fills up the server log space.

Just after 5 months, the lcd screen gets permanent dark spots, trust me, no rough handling, and they say they wont replace that.

From day 1, the system becomes a HOTPLATE after about 10 -15 minutes from start-up.

The so called 1.3 mp Webcam, just takes low quality pics, worser than my old 2006 model cellphone, From day 1 if I try to use it as a webcam, or take a video, there is a message - ' webcam is not connected '. I've tried installing the drivers & software umpteen times, from the driver disk provided, and Acer website. I tried with other OS as well, no go whatsoever. Also, the camera connection goes off for the low quality pictures as well, every time u turn it around gently as instructed. The service people don't even pretend to hear this problem. That's more than Pathetic.

The graphic card screwed up twice in the warranty period, got fixed just for a while and is still a problem.

The power button was replaced after about 8 months after purchase, and again after close to one year, got charged well 2nd time.

From the beginning, I have to turn on power before I start the system, or it dosen't detect power, the charging light does not glow, until I restart again. The battery backup time is hardly 90 minutes.

Coming to the main issue, There have been many instances of total system crash, and that is still the problem. If I turn on power button, there are just some white lines appearing on the screen, That's it !!!

The first time, it was on warranty. The second time, the servicing is done and I'm charged well, the third time as well. The fourth time, the serviceman said that the motherboard is gone, and i'll have 2 replace it, which will be 14, 000. Most of the companies give a 4 year warranty on motherboard, not acer. Then I speak not kindly to the serviceman, he considers, charges me 5600 rupees for nothing, gives it back after about 2 months, where he says it was resting in Bangalore. Now, that is criminal. The same way it crashed again after 2 -3 months, I took it to Hyd again, service charges about 600 Rupees. The total charges just for servicing it have come down to about 8000 and more.., excluding travel charges. I didn't use it for sometime as i am working in a different location. My sister started using it, then after 5 times o[censored]se, not more than about 5 - 6 hours, it has crashed again. The same white lines on LCD.

The WORST part is the Customer Support, both online(Acer Website) and On Call. I have sent complaint mails umpteen times, and there is not ONE response mail till now. When I call up my dealer, he just talks for the sake of it, hangs up before I complete, dosen't pick calls.
I guess Acer Corporation here, or everywhere, does not value it's customers right after the purchase is made.

I wish all o[censored]s could pool up and take up the case to the consumer court for necessary action as acer dosen't respond anyways. I don't know about courts and cases, but I will be following up now on the double.

With Reference to the model a complain launched at the toll free number wrt. To the CASE ID:[protected] and the laptop was send to Jaipur service centre. The mentioned problem was songs were playing very slowly and a message was being displayed as hard disk replace in windows 7 and Windows XP got corrupted so many times. This problem also verified by me Devendra Ochani owner of Aakash Computers, Ajmer, but the Jaipur service centre returned back the laptop saying that they had reset the hard disk and there is no need of replacement of hard disk (as per their statement). Note: It was done in the month of December 2010. After a week the customer again came back with the same problem. We again called up Mr. Dinesh Pathak and told him shall we lock the call again but he refused me from getting the call lock by assuring that they will resolve the issue as earliest and told me You just send the laptop and we will replace the hard disk as we have hard disk in the stock. So we send the laptop by courier on 13th Jan 2011 and its delivered on 14th Jan. 2011. We again called up Mr. Dinesh Pathak on 15th Jan. 2011 (Saturday) and he said it is a holiday speak to me on Monday morning. When I called him on Monday near about 4 pm. In this communication again he assured me that I will replace the Hard Disk and send you the laptop by today’s courier. After 15 minutes of this communication he again called me up and told there is not same hard disk as I replaced earlier. First of all when he communicated that he haven’t changed the hard disk how it changed in second time. Second thing who authorized him to take company’s asset without any call no. There are also so many que. Which I want to raise on integrity of Mr. Dinesh Pathak. Mr. Dinesh called the customer and told him that Aakash computers changed the hard disk and called me by saying that customer has changed the hard disk. Another que. Is that this is a systematic service centre of a reputed company then why we received the laptop without seal after repairing from service centre? Why we haven’t received any repair note by stating that what part has been changed or repaired? Nobody can prove verbal statements. Mr. Dinesh Pathak received the Laptop on 14th Jan., 2011 and I got revert on 17th Jan., 2011 when I called him when part was changed why don’t he reverted on priority? Finally he return the laptop to my address which I have received on 19th jan 2011. I have also spoke to Mr. Bharat on toll free No. then he suggested me to mark a mail on this id.
Company will loose its image in market if this will be continued by such people of service center doing work like this and leaving us without proof what work has been done in the laptop and again when the problem arises they deny for warranty. Why cant a the person put a seal on the part (hard disk cover) to proof that this part has been repaired / replace by company’s service centre. Now my simply request with you kindly consider the case and resolve my problem by replacing the Hard Disk of this Laptop on priority.

My name is Ajay Kumar Singh .I had bought ACER Aspire one d257 model in Dec2011 from Diamonds Computers, Sanjay Place Agra. My Acer notebook is Creating problem from starting onwards after purchasing from 20-25 day. its battery after consumption of 65-70% ( i.e. remaining of 30-25% of charging) automatic goes switched OFF/Hybernate mode. when i try to switch ON again it does not get ON. when i Plugged ON for charging then it is able to switched ON and at that time Battery Shows 5-6% Charging. i have visited 5-6 time Service Centre Digital Care Agra (UP) for this problem and still visiting but problem Still persists. Service centre is telling that they have replace Battery but Still problem persists.MY current CASE ID :[protected]. i am getting frustrated by going again and again. kindly replace or Change my Notebook.

    Dear Sir / Madam

    I have purchased acer aspire 4520 approximate 9 months ago. Last 4 months there is a long list of problems being faced.
    Its adapter, mother board, power board, even the dvd writer is being replaced. I am at horrer how all this happened that to in the time span of just 3 months.

    Not only this there is display problem. I have visited the centre in Ludhiana many times which is 50 kms from my home. But this the person there named Balwinder, Incharge said me that he is out of station and cant handle it.

    It is very pathetic that the company is not worried about the customers.

    I request you to please solve my problem as my studies are suffering because of it.

      "we apologize the inconvenienve, but windows did not start sussesfully.a recent hardware or software might caused this"

      then i tried to format my system with windows xp cd then also some error showing

      make sure any hard drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer,
      and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct.this may involve

        i had purchased acer aptop model name is extansa. my laptop is in the warranty period. i had admit my complaint of the switches and the battery backup problem in the local acer service center in aurangabad, maharastra 3 month before. But there is no action taken by the local service center and the main service center of the acer. now there is another problem created one month before in the laptop is that the dvd drive is not working properly but i am suspicious to again add this complaint because of delaying. so sir i request to you please attention on my complaint and try to give 3 month extended warranty on the battery and another parts of the battery.

            my aspire 4720z powers on only on a gud day, once its on, it works smoothly, then suddenly it goes off even tho it has 2hrs batt left. then it wont power up for days again. im very unhappy for im in jhb south africa and no one here is able 2 assist me.help

              i am using acer extenza 4620 laptop
              the main problem is that its power on button doesnt work properly
              i have given it for repair a month ago
              it worked for few day neatly, now it went down again
              i am also using the same model, and i have also provided by icfaitech hyderabad,

              actually this problem is coming bcoz the power button is just above the fan, due to which dust get deposited there very much, and so disabaling the function of power key.
              i am using acer extenza 4620 laptop
              the main problem is that its power on button doesnt work properly.often it work when we give much stress on the power switch .what is the problem

              Acer is world stupid and cheater organization, its so simple its rate are low but approx equivalent to others, I was using acer laptop acer extensa 4620. Now i am switch to hp.

              Care full acer is know all problem and all new system have same problem.

              i think there will be videos in youtube how to set power button problems. some rust wilb used to form below the power button because of our fingers wetness.

              after opening the laptop take off that rust with keroscene/petrol by scratching it with some narrow& flat surface. then keep it as it is and check it wil work..

              I'm using the same lap, which is not switching on properly. I read your above posts friends. This is not about for dust contamination, because In 4620 model Switch is in top right corner &amp; cooling fan is in left corner, then how it could be contaminate.

                Basear had purchased LCD Projector around 10 months back, from 1st day itself overall approach of dealer was bad.
                In the month of sept projector stopped working, we gave the machine to Raisurana & Sons the authorized partner of ACER in Jamshedpur.
                He assured that projectore will be OK within 15 days, now the dealer is asking for Rs.20000/- agains the repair even the machine is in warranty period.
                I am amazed with the rude & fraudlent character of the company.

                  I m a very upset customer with the way I was treated by ur staff.
                  I bought a acer aspire laptop 5310 on 1st October 2007.(SN. LXAH20CO167341F83A1601).

                  I m facing issue with the battery as it drains out in 10 minutes.
                  ON 25TH SEPTEMBER 2008, I called you Customer service [protected]. I was told that in 5 working days a technician will be sent at my place and I was assured that as I m calling within the warranty period, the battery will be replace free of cost.
                  But unfortunately no one came to replace the battery. After that I called multiple times and no one helped.
                  I will not pay for the battery cost as i called within warranty period.

                  I was very happy with acer prior to this experience.
                  I had recommended 4 of my friends to buy acer.
                  Now if I dont get the battery replaced free of cost, i have made up my mind to lodge a complaint.
                  I have my cousin working with newspaper and she has suggested to share my experience and write an article abt my experience.

                  If i dont get help I will be forced to take a step.

                    I HAVE BOUGHT A SYSTEM ACER 4530 FROM AUTHORISED DEALER ON 18.10.08 FOR RS.31000/- AND STILL THE SYSTEM HAVING VERY SLOW SPEED IT TAKES 10 TO 15 MIN TO LOAD AND THERE IS A JOKE THE SYSTEM CONFIG IS 2GB RAM AND 160GBHDD. I TRIED CUSTOMER CENTER FINALLY GOT DISAPPOINT. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM, PLEASE GUIDE ME TO REPLACE THIS SYSTEM OR LEGAL ACTION
                    AND I STROGNLY RECOMEND DON'T GO FOR ACER PRODUCT.

                    Ask them to replace and even if they dont agree then u have consumer form.coz u have paid for it.some ppl will say that u shldnt go with legal actions however u can ask for damage from d company.And especailly make afford to take it in writting, coz it will be written proof for u.

                    i am using the same product from last 3 months. its a gr8 one and price tag is good compare to other manufacturer of the same configuration . i am able to run high end graphic games, dual boot and visualization software till now i don't face any problem with my system. it is fast compare to my friends Compaq machine. you should re install the OS from the recovery CD provided with the laptop. may that will solve the problem and for free and worthy anti virus download avast home edition it is free of cost (just you have to register you email id for code)

                    Don't loose heart .There is no problem with system.Primarily I believe the system came with LINUX preloaded and you loaded Xp or Vista later.
                    Case-1-If yes then check if you have a proper antivirus or not, if you don't have an antivirus first download AVAST and install on your system, create boot time scan which the antivirus asks for, by default after first installation .Restart the system and let the antivirus scan the system and try curing all infected files found.If it doesn't help check in task manager that any program is using more processor time(processor usage) then needed.
                    Case-2-If no(Vista preloaded) the check if all the drivers are installed properly or not.Then try the first step(mentioned before).
                    If nothing helps then take the Laptop to the service center or retailer, don't tell them the real problem, just ask them to Power on the PC them selves, just tell them that the PC is not booting at times and ask them to check if there is any problem and act as if you don't know anything about the problem.
                    Make sure you are using a genuine windows or else the customer care or the dealer will not help you.They'll just say that if you use a genuine windows the problem will be solved.

                    Please learn some basics of PC hardware and trouble shooting. The more you experiment, the more you learn, trust me, I have seen people using lappies for 5 years without a clue of what OS they are using.I'd assume that you know that much at least.And before going to the customer care gain a minimal knowledge of you hardware so that if they ask some thing then you can save your back.
                    I have helped my friends buy ACER 4520 and 4530 both and believe me the Games which my 1.5 GB 64 athlon 128MB grafix card couldn't run, these laptops were able to run pretty smooth.I loaded both the notebooks with loads of customisation tools which use lots of system resources and make windows vista look like outdated old model OS. I played NFS Most wanted and NFS Carbon at highest specs connecting the laptop (4520 model and 4530 was even better) to my projector .

                    I just installed XP on my acer 4530. I got all drivers installed and run. But still 1 hardware under PCI has "processor" with yellow flag saying driver not correctly installed. Im not sure what driver it preferred as all drivers are installed ( I think).
                    and then when I installed avast the system wont accept.it just stop wont continue with installation process. tried installed AVG. installed ok but it not working ok cause it treated most of my exe files as virus. I found winamp and webcam exe file missing and some dll files also missing after AVG caught them and treated them as virus and put them in its save placed.
                    please anyone help me?

                    If there is any hardware problem sure you can get it fixed .the laptops usually comes with at least 1 year warranty .As somebody said in this post above i seriously doubt that some marketing rivals are on loose.
                    As with the configuration i think its the best one (for gamers) available for cheaper price.i am looking forward to buy this laptop.Lengthy system boot times can be caused by the following reasons.
                    1> the loading o[censored]nwanted windows services,
                    2>many programs getting initialized on start up,
                    3>or due to virus or Trojan infections,
                    first problem can be solved by disabling unwanted services(search the web on how to disable services.. its easy).uninstall unnecessary programs to increase boot speed .scan with Trojan hunters like a-squared or Avira.
                    only this much can be the cause on software side.
                    if your laptop is making heavy krrrrr..!! krrrrr..! sound it must be hard disc problem which can also apparently slow down the system.get it fixed from the vendor if you thing the problem is with hard disc, as it can only get worse..
                    Though I dont have a good opinion on Acer, they make lousy laptops and customer care is pathetic (all due to 2 year long experience). I read good reviews of the Acer 4530. I recommend like others have said, a thorough check using Avast antivirus, check for driver updates. I hope you get this rectified. Best thing would be to take it back to the place you bought it from.

                    i disagree. i have an aver 4530 laptop and it never dissappointed me. It runs fast and runs all the applications i need. i can even play nfs undercover and run adobe photoshop cs4 flawlessly. maybe the problem is how you use your computer. your notebook may have an infiltration. and another is that HP has a very bad customer service and the lenovo notebooks are very expensive for a very crappy spec.
                    I have also 4530 I m satisfy with it. It perform very good task like gaming, Animation Design with chief cost.
                    Other company can not provide this configuration at this price so it is best for high graphic application.

                    i bought same laptop at Rs. 30500, last year, i came to notice that the left speaker is not working properly, i took it to the service center they approved that the speaker is malfunctioning and i take the laptop to the dealer and belive me they at the time replace and give me the new laptop. And the laptop is working fine till now. And its better and reasonable than other laptops, and it is very worth to me because i njoy many latest game on it... :)

                    my problem with my acer 4530 is with regards to its camera. it malfunctions. i recently reinstalled it with the suyin driver provided at the acer euro site and after installation, the camera worked. however, after i reboot the system, it no longer works. so, i tried reinstalling it but the same thing again happens. what do you think is the problem?

                    Look, 4530 in me was very great enough for gaming and also 3D rendering, i've upgraded my 4530 into 4 GB RAM, and it run smoothly, and i think it's rarely cheap enough for it's specs, unless the problem of webcam that i can't fix till now XD

                    Acer PC — unsatisfactory performance of Acer PC

                    i bought an acer PC package comprising (1) CPU IE3460 (320 GB) (2) monitor 19" W TFT (3) Zebronics Power UPS U-101 (4) Zeb 10 (HMV H/P Basic from Dotcom Computer, Shanti Colony, Chennai on 10.7.2008. The sound system was finally installed on 20.10.08 by another agent VB IT Care as the CD supplied along with the PC was NOT READING. The technician installed sound with his CD.

                    Just after warranty period of 1 year (this is not mentioned anywhere but only mentioned orally) is over the PC started giving problems. It started switching off suddenly without warning and will restart only after sometime. Since Dotcom's charges for service is higher I took the machine to my regular service centre (they charge only Rs.100 against Rs.350/- by Dotcom). It was found that the 'fan' had packed up and I had to replace the same. I wrote to Acer but they refute the charge but hide under the warranty provision.

                    A few days it was found that the UPS is working properly. It switches off when a power failure occurs and does not retain power even for a few minutes. I wrote to Zebronics who advised me to bring it to their office which I will be doing tomorrow.

                    Since few days the DVD drive started giving problems. it does not read but also creates terrible noise.

                    I have also alerted the Tamil Nadu Consumer Helpline.

                    I wrote regd letter to Acer and sent email messages to Zebronics. Is it necessary that I send copies of letters and emails to 'Dotcom Computer' from where I purchased the PC package? Pls advise

                    I bought an acer Desktop (complete Package) from PSS Pace Support Services, B-04 Indradeep Complex, fizabad road, Lucknow-226016, The system was installed properly at A-1127, HAL Township (New Colony), Lucknow-226016.
                    But sound system was not working, I comlained and comlain was attend by BIPS SYSTEMS LIMITED, Finally he change the Mother Board, during changing the mother board the USB Port was short and there was 3 paen drive damaged. I told the person but he aws not care. 2 pen drive damzed by the BIPS's person.

                    After all I was Comlain dated 11/03/10 for USB port. and complain No. is[protected]. there was a blunder mistake of communication. The person who attend the complain dated13/03/10 told me that there is a complain of KEY Board. He brought a Key Board with him. So that My problem is as it is. he just return witout slved my problem. there is a wastage of time both.

                    i have been using acer 4530 for last one year and i haven't had any problem so far.
                    I have installed XP SP2 and all drivers were loaded by the person where i bought the laptop. all buttons and hardware works very well. i had installed NetProtector Antivirus. It is cheap, fast and effective. Don't go by brand names in antivirus.
                    1) Long startup time ?
                    Remove all usb and SD cards as well as the dummy card inside the SD card slot. The dummy card is used to cover the slot from dust. But remove it when you start ur laptop.
                    My laptop startup time is less than 1 min !!
                    2) If desktop has loaded, but can't see icons?
                    Remove all unnecessary startup files using
                    http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/
                    It is not anti virus. But, it will show all files that are being loaded at the start. remove unwanted.

                    Acer — bad performance of product

                    i have purchased acer latop model travelmet5370
                    from day one onwards it is harrasing/not functioning well ,
                    when i complained the same , the service enginner explained that you have to habituate for the product then you may feel well and explained better way though toll free service.

                    however i have booked a complaint about screen problem
                    nearly 20 days gone still i am waiting for spares .

                    This is to inform you that i had purchased the laptop ACER 4530 on dt.24.10.2009 from your dealer M/s.Netline Infotech,527-R,First Floor Front,City Tower,Model Town,Ludhiana. vide there Bill/Sr.no.2296 Dt.24.10.09.Now from the last two months my laptop`s battery backup is almost nil & it starts with direct power only.Sir,I have already lodged the complaint to your dealer but i am sorry to say that i have not received any single respond from the dealer.Sometime I think that my deceison was wrong when i had purchased the laptop from this dealer.

                      Mine is ACER aspire 4530. The problem is the same as yours. Acer as a company is very poor at giving service to its customers believe me my laptop started giving problem from the first day of purchase!!. Naturally it was under warranty terms & agreement. I applied for the replacement and to my shock the new replaced speaker also stopped working after a week. I then applied for another replacement; The company did not respond for 2months after which I decided to move to consumer forum and gave them a notice. The company promptly sent me a replacement speakers. This time the new speaker was defective as well. Then they said a Technician would come personally at my residence to replace it. On may 13th 09 my laptop Shut done while i was woking on MS excel and is completely DEAD. The technician came to my place to replace the spaekers but Im in no mood to change the spakers now. I want a Total replacement of the model.
                      Im currently building up a case against acer and its regional manager of north Bengal. These people should be behind bars for cheating consumers and selling Products that don't meet the quality standards as specified by the law.

                        I wants to inform you that i am totally dissatisfied with the service of the acer.The service they are providing is pathetic i had my laptop in warranty and have faced problem twice after purchasing it from mumbai. I have purchased my laptop from "VIJAY SALES, PLAM BEECH GALLERIA MALL, NAVI MUMBAI".
                        then have faced problem of DC BOARD within 4 months of puchase i m student in delhi so staying here itself in delhi i have approached service centre in lajpat nagar" K-42, DIGITAL SOLUTIONS CETRAL MARKET, LAJPAT 2, NEW DELHI".They replaced my DC BOARD.
                        Then i have faced problem of "MOTHER BOARD & DVD RAM" they have replaced my mother board and dvd ram but my laptop is with service centre from last 22 days they have replaced my mother board twice till then. still when i bought my laptop tommorw and again facing then lignings all over screen and nothing is coming on the screen accept ligning.They asked me to call up and then come to recive the delivery but once they pick up the call they say your shipment have not yet arrived kindly bear with us and we will inform u after 2-3 days they doin this from last 22 days and yet my laptop is not serviced properly i have personally visited them 7 times in 22 days and yet my laptop problem have not been solved i have my warranty got over and i am helpless in this concern what to do next
                        my wastage of time and money is on hype in order to visit them after every consecutive day. i am not understanding what to do next. still they have asked me to change my mother board on tuesday or monday the shipment of mother board comes from banglore and they are saying its problem in courier which comes from banglore due to which mother board is getting damaged evrytime they are not using quality products and making the life of consumer pathetic .

                        I have just purchase a new ACER Laptop Aspire 4720Z... The notebook worked fine for a month, then .the DVD Drive stopped working. A week later the battery showed signs of getting discharged immediately. Took the notebook to the service center in Andheri (Mumbai) where they replaced the DVD Writer. For the battery I was told I have to download some applications and then the battery would work fine. It's been 3 weeks already I have downloaded the application, but the problem still persists. When i contacted the helpline number, they said, someone will get back to me in a week's time. It's more than than 2 weeks now and there is no sign of that phone call.

                        The service centre says they cannot touch the laptop until they get instructions from the service center.

                        Now being a customer, I would like to know... HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO SOLVE A COMPLAINT. If this is the pace at which Acer is operating, I am sure you will go down in history for the slowest customer support provider... !!

                        in this case i can say that, Many Companies give 1 year Warranty but they fail or avoid quality service.
                        If your Purchaing Accer Laptop which is less costly as compair to HP and Dell or Compaque.

                        That mean you are not looking for Quality Service and Product but Product which is cost effective, in this case it is bound to get bad after sales Service from company to reduce Cost for Company.

                        Many of Service Centers are run on Franchise Base and company dont handle or see how they give sevice to Customer.

                        to get things work in time and Proper, don't see or use warranty given by company. Simple Cont any good Laptop Repair Shop or Person.

                        Wow such a ridiculous service by acer in the Czech Republic. I have 4270 which it should be good notebook price for this notebook is 1500 $ which is not cheap. After 2 years and 3 days this mean after warranty with 3 days computer start to be stupid. Not working well. As usual I contact the service and first question is are you in warranty period or not I said I'm not so they told me I have to call for the normal line not toll-free I asked for the number, when I tried to call answer was this number is not exist. I went back to the lady and I said Please please do something, finally she accepted my request. First wave after 10 days the notebook is back. They said HD+optical device coast was 320 $ and the cover for the HD wasn't well closed. Windows with different language than it was even if I'm it expert as we expect Acer service I should know what is inside.2 Days and I return the notebook to be fixed. This time was fast only 4 days. Seems fine, another 2 days and the same problem this was since 10-04-09 until now the problem it's not fixed yet. During this period I have to check from time to time and with each phone call they said we are waiting for spare pare and we don't know when it will come. One of the nice guys there talked to me that they fixed badly and I can write request to return for me money back. Smart guys there they said after I wrote to the CEO of the acer company they are able to give me what I had paid for the service and immediately I will have my notebook not repaired or I have to shut up and wait. I wrote too many complaints but nobody acts positively. So I don't recommend to any smart person to even think to buy Acer for all above reasons. Just make sure of the brand No acer any more even if it will be for free. I hope one of those who take care of this company to read this and takes owner ship to react effectively on my concerning

                        I purchased a new ACER Laptop Extensa4620... it worked properly for a month, then .the DVD Drive stopped working and battery backup became very low upto 45 minutes. I complained to costumer care for both problems.they people register my compaint with case ID is[protected] and case reference no 2444.they accept complaint only for DVD not for battery backup.For Battery problem they told if backup remains less then half an hour then only they will register backup complaint.while at the time of purchasing company tells for 3 hours battery backup.

                        While they told some instructions for raise backup and i followed them but still problem is there.For DVD problem i took service center in Laxmi Nagar Distinct Center-Delhi on 03rd Augest 2009.They people told me to replace DVD Drive within 3 days.now more than 10 days are already past.I contacted to them for 5-6 times but they took so many excuses like : concerning person is not available, He/She is busy in some other work.. so and so.No proper response.
                        I am still suffering if they want many months or years then tell me clearly or tell wheather it is possible or not from their end, but why they are hanging me so long.

                        Now, according to me ACCER IS MUST STOP PROMISING TO PROVIDE SERVICE AFTER SELL BECOZ ACCER IS POOR AT THE TIME OF MANUFACTURING AND SERVICING.

                        I purchased an acer aspire 5740g on august 23rd 2010. It cost me 43, 990 inr. earlier this year in may 2011 i extended my warranty uptill 23rd august 2013 at the cost of 4000inr.
                        My laptop suddenly stopped working on 20th october 2011 and i gave it to the acer customer care : Reverse technologies andheri(E), mumbai on 26th october.
                        they informed me that motherboard has to be replaced and placed an order for it on 26th october itself. now its been 18 days and they keep giving excuses as to not having the part and ordering it from abroad (taiwan). if they do not have a replacement motherboard in india then should i not be entitled to a replacement laptop? whhy should i wait 25 days just to replace a part which they have claimed they don't have with them?

                        i would really like to file a case against the acer customer service. please help me on the procedure and people facing similar problems or who have faced earlier could also please lend some suppport.

                          i have purchase acer desktop from kanpur(up), for my lucknow office and make the full payment on 11th of september 2008, they dispactched me the desktop but there is two major problem in the desktop one is screen display is not proper and the mouse is not working from the first the, i have launched the complain to the acer service center on 16th sep. 08, and till now they never solve my problem and my complaint no. of acer service center is[protected]
                          i have purchase acer desktop from Kottakkal Pentron, for my kottakkal office and make the full payment on september 2008, they dispactched me the desktop but there is two major problem in the desktop one is operationg system is not properly installed and the hard disk connection shows error sometimes in working from the first time onwards, i have launched the complain to the acer kottakkal office, Pentron- but no responce, and till now they never solve my problem. So kindly take necessery actions against them

                            My laptop is purchased within a year. Since long the DVD writer provided with the laptop fails to read most of the DVDs which our another computor can well read. though I have tried to contact the customer service many a times no one is responding. About 10 days ago, once some one responded but he told me to hold on and till 15 to 20 minutesI got no reply. But when I contacted their services centres once in Bhubaneswor and once in Kolkata, the reply was they need a complaint number given by their customer care. But when the customer care is not atall responmding me though I have tried to contact them saveral times, where from I shall tell the customer care climpalint number. The service centres are not providing me the required service. My study has humpered a lot for the negligence of the company. I thing it is now effecting my carrier. Sitngent action is prayed for such lapses by the company.

                              Cheated deal, defective piece, reluctant, irresponsible, pathetic staff & dealers

                              Dear Sir,
                              My name is Aradhana Tomer, I brought an acer laptop, model number Aspire 4710 in the month of October 2007 from Y2K system, Laxmi Nagar. Just after 2 months of purchase my laptop started to have some problems. While working screen and everything shut down somewhere around 10th of January 2008. On contact with service centre since it was in warranty period it was said that mother have gone defective so needs to be replaced. When laptop came from repair my husbad played a CD, was seen that voice is improper, again on contacting service centre one more new thing, sir speakers are not working, needs replacement & were replaced total time taken for all this almost 15 days.
                              After some days again while working screen gets off totally white, on asking anything the answer is everything is working fine when it is in service centre, we do not know why it is not working at your place, this thing happen thrice in a month.
                              In month of June 2008 while starting the computer (switch on), screen is not coming visible- again service centre people said to me that it is working fine here, we do not know why it is not working at ur home.
                              Now it is almost 4th time in a month when the laptop is given to the dealer for repair for the same problem.
                              It is a small question can anybody imagine how much time this problem trouble shooting & solving can take – almost 20-25 days of the month but the problem still going on till today.
                              This is the value for the money which people invested, invested, trusted & expected from Acer.
                              When u purchase an item dealer promises u everything but in reality there is nothing like it. They promise you for standby laptop in the time of service & repair which they never provide. Only speaking, hardly helping.
                              What till now I experienced about Acer is, keep busy urself busy by standing on dealer shop with this defective piece of laptop & wait for Ur laptop to get repaired as soon as u get repaired again after 2-3 days send it back to dealer for repair.
                              I just want to replace this defective piece, if this will not happen I will be bound to take a legal action against Acer. Because before Acer Laptop my “Life was easy but Acer make it Busy.”

                              I bought acer laptop model number 4710 in october 2007 from one of the authorized dealer of east delhi after few months of purchase it start to show problems. as the laptop in warranty period I send it to service center they said the mother board have got some problem they took almost 15 days to get it repaired after that its speaker gone, it is almost fifth time in last 9 months that i had send it to service center for repairing, each month it have got some new problem, and when you talk to dealer he never take me or my problem seriously. i had invested almost 40, 000 rupees in buying that system, since the day of buying i am facing problem each day. In fact, on the contrary, the said machines have now become totally useless as most of the times, the said machines completely out of order.

                              10.My client states that, when my client tried to contact you for informing you about the malfunctioning of the aforesaid machines and asking him to replace the said projectors for the same being within the warranty period, you have tried to shed your responsibility by stating that, the said since the said machines not functioning properly they are required to be replaced and that, No.2 of you only can give you the replacement and that, now No.1 of you do not is not supposed to do anything with the said machines.

                              11.My client states that, my client was greatly surprised by your said casual approach. However, still my client persistently tried to convince No.1 of you about the malfunctioning of the said machines and complain about the hardships faced by you, however you gave no response to the same nor took cognizance of the said complaint of my client. In fact, you have asked my client to get the same repaired from Bangalore directly.

                              12. My client states that, my client has carried out a series of correspondence regarding the subject matter with all of No.1 of you and also there are exchange of various correspondence between No.1 of you and my client, however the same has no results to my client.

                              13. My client states that, No.1 of you were under the legal obligation to repair the said LCD projectors of my client with utmost care and sincerity and to the satisfaction of my client, however, by your act of flatly refusing to carry out any repairs and asking my client to directly get the said machines repaired from Bangalore you have showed a casual approach towards responsibilities of repairing and/or replacing the said machines and deficiency in rendering the services to my client who happens to be your consumer.

                              14. In the light of the abovementioned facts and circumstances, my client hereby asks you to replace the said machines with a new one failing which you shall be required to compensate my client with Rs.25, 00, 000/- towards the loss and hardships caused to my client and Rs.10, 00, 000/- for the loss of reputation of my client and Rs.15, 00, 000/- towards mental agony caused to my client due to the non-functioning of the said machines.

                              15. My client states that, my client has further instructed to call upon you that, in case of your failure to replace the said machines with the new ones or pay the amounts as mentioned above towards loss and hardships and for the loss of reputation of my client and towards mental agony caused to my client, my client will be constrained to initiate file necessary complaint before the State Consumer Forum against you, entirely on your own risk, as to the cost and consequences of the same, including the cost of this notice, Rs.5, 000/- which you may please note.

                              sir i purchased a laptop on saturday,[protected] and then i came home, when i used my laptop on 16-08-09 then i found the the "L" key of the keyboard was broken.

                              so on 17-08-09 i went to the shop from where i have purchased the laptop and enquired about this matter, they asked me to go to the service center, and when i went there they said me that i have to pay Rs500/- for the replacement of keyboard which originally came broken to me by ACER. so as being a customer of acer i want assistance in this matter, and i am pretty much disturbed by having a defective laptop in my hand.

                                I purchase ACER TM 5002 AMD 64 bit.befor 1.5 years.
                                I replace during warrenty period Battery, Speaker, DVD Writer
                                can u think how many time I visited service center?
                                Now problem with main board and main board not available with service center
                                Some how if they manage mother board they charge Rs.18000.00
                                How I spend Rs.18000.00 after that much problem?
                                I request to all never think to buy any ACER PRODUCT.

                                  I have acer 4520 there is a problem with my sound which went off by itself
                                  its still under warranty. I had taken my laptop to Ashtech infotech Pvt.Ltd. and i was told that my motherboard needs to be change which will cost me 13500+ service charges which is 1600.
                                  one thing i din't understand if there a problem with my sound or soundcard why the hell the motherboard needs to be change and that also within warranty period.

                                    hi, first of all i am bit curious and wonder how can posting a complaint on this forum help!!!
                                    any way i am an optimist, just hope for the best,
                                    ok then, i purchased an acer laptop nov-2007.initially there was problem with the screen, the screen would turn blank white intermittently which i used to solve by pressing the sleep button(fn+ f4).there was no other problem then.
                                    now recently i installed win xps2, (previously had vista).and my audio is totally dumb.when i tried to fix it going to devise manager i only succeded in getting an error message statting unable to start the device(real tec hd audio) i am unable to install audio driver, !!!
                                    i can see a windows logo similar to an update logon in front my audio device in devise manager, so thought some updates may be the cause . thus deleted all the updates 93, you know thats a hard work..
                                    but even then my audio didn't work.
                                    at the day end i was disappointed an decided to have a treat and saw hancock on the web, yes with out audio!!!
                                    any one who had got a satisfactory solution after siting yoour complaint here

                                    when my system is running suddenly the screen turned in to white color and lines on the white screen vertically.and at that moment the program is running, but the screen is stand in white color
                                    I would rather suggest you contact tech - support! I m sure India is booming because of these so called "call centres"! So why don't we use them!

                                      I have given my acer laptop to digicompindia which is located in banglore on 02/02/2008 having problem with USB drives.For this they have replaced it with new component of cost 2500.And they gave my laptop back on 22/03/2008 with shutdown problem(Fee : 3700 Rs/-).When i asked about the shutdown problem they told me to reinstall the operating system then the problem will be solved. But that did not happen. When i tried to install operatig system it is not loading. Then again i approached them with this problem in hyderabad. They fixed the previous problem and came with a new issue i.e. keyboard keys not working properly. When i asked them about keyboard problem they said that they are not responsible for the problem. The only thing i want to say is that their service is so poor and before giving the laptop to them every thing was working fine. But now the total condition of the laptop is worst.

                                        Iam reseller in my home town mannargudi.I bought 19" ACER Lcd monitor on 29th May 2008 in Chennai (south india) for my client.I Saw one white dot on the screen and immediately complaint it in ACER Mumbai call centre on 30th may.The executive ask model and my address of my home town and he will try to solve my problem within 24 hours.After 2 days also there is no response from the call centre.Then i call again call centre.he said sorry for inconvinience & infrormed me ur LCD monitor is ready for replacement. pls come to chennai serivice centre & contact[protected] for replacement.

                                        Then i go to chennai (about 350Kms far away) and call service centre number.They informed me to contact my dealer.Again i go to meet my dealer S.K computer. He was ready to replace my monitor But he wants to cancel my complaint from mumbail call centre.he also talk to mumbai call centre Executive Mr.Pawan.Mr pawan talked to my dealer he cannot cancell my complaints so he will arrange service person to service monitor at customer home.Again i informed my home town is far away from the city.he talked to my dealer never mind i will arrange a service engineer to repair or replace ur monitor on ur home. then i come back to my home town and wait for more than two days.
                                        Nobody was come.I call again mumbai call centre again.The executive ask me to go Redington Madurai.they will repair or replace it.im angry and fight with customer executive.he said sorry soryy u must go to redington madurai for repair or replacement.Now i give my LCD monitor to Redington madurai and waiting for more than 4 days for replacement there is no response.I spent more money for traveling.

And after few days, in display different horizontal and vertical color lines are comming and also tool bar is merged with all colors. I am looking forward for the servicing.

                                        I have bought a Computer Monitor from your dealer Micropoint computers, Mavelikara Alappuzha dist Kerela on 21-02-08.its model number is ks16arvgk/xtp.and its seriel num is AR15HHAPB15171.size 38cm.As the monitor is not be clear and im not able to use it from jun 28 and i hav called up the dealer on the same date.they take my monitor for servicing and returned it to me on july 12th as it have 1 year warrenty... they returned me the monitor with the same complaint.on the same date they have taken my monitor and till the date they havent given back my monitor.they hav given me a second hand monitor instead of mine. As i went to the dealer to enquire about the complaint and status of the system they behaved me very badly...as im waiting for this for such a long time if my monitor is not replaced with a new one or if im not getting my own monitor wqithin one weak i will directly go the consumer court and file a complaint regarding this.

I have a bad experienced in using your product and I have already registered my complaint about the TFT Monitor on Monday 21st September, 09 on your Helpdesk (complaint #[protected]. The engineer also came to see the defect and he told me that this TFT Monitor is going to be replaced within 2-3 days from date of complaint registered. I am also unable to get the proper response from Customer care about replacement of my Monitor. It is now Saturday which is already 3 days ahead from date of commitment.

                                        RT outsourcing is worst to provide the support

                                        i got 15" LCD monitor which got a defect that it displays colors differently
                                        for green it displays red viceversa and also it got 3 horizontal lines and images are blur i called customer care in delhi

                                        and they told my call will be attended by service ppl in chennai(RT outsourcing) they ame and told its defect so they will replace monitor and itmay take ten days

                                        and after 10 days they came and telling you got scratcheson monitor so we wont replace scracthes are very minute and i even sent pjhoto copy of my monitor to them but they repeating the same and forcing mr to close the case

                                        i dont want a replaced monitor but i just want to get my monitor repaired

                                        Ri repeat dont ever again think of buying acer monitor they got worst customer care and support team
