my acer aspire battery expired and i am also feeling head ache may be radiation.What a poor quality?
my acer aspire battery is also expired. & the most big problem is that there is no easy approachable service center near kota.

Acer — Faulty Service

Hi,

This complaint is on Acer desktop computer service. I had an issue with a brand new Acer PC and a INHOME technician came home to fix the issue While doing so the technician broke the front panel of the PC which i did not notice and realized it the next day when my Pc started making weird noises,When i called Acer support to notify this issue. I was not believed and was told i have to pay as it's a physical damage . Why should i pay for something which is not done my me. I also told them if we catch hold of the technician we will know the truth but nothing was done. Hopefully i get a resolution from this forum, as i have been neglected & cheated by Acer.
I purchased Acer Aspire 5738 about 18 months back and my battery is out of order for the last 3 months.It sorry to point out that in such a short period the battery will have to be replaced. Who will purchase ACER lap tops if your Quality is so poor?

    hello,

    i purchased a laptop from METRO BHANDUP WEST.IT WAS GIVNG ME FREQUENT PROBLEMS SO I HANDED IT OVER TO THE SERVICE CENTER AT ANDHERI AND THEY TOLD ME THA THE SCREEN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AS IT IS DEFECTIVE.THEY TOLD MY WIFE (SHE HAD GONE TO HANDOVER THE LAPTOP) THAT THEY WILL REPAIR ANS HANDOVER THE LAPTOP IN 5 WORKING DAYS.

    HOWEVER,IT HAS BEEN 15 DAYS AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN ATTENDING OUR CALLS NOR ARE THEY GIVING ANY FEEDBACK.

    SIR,PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT SHOULD I DO??SHOULD I DRAG THEM TO THE CONSUMER COURT??

    AND NOTHIG BETTER IF YOU CAN HELP ME FROM THIS SITUATION.

    THESE ACER PEOPLE ARE MANIACS....KINDLY FIX THEM PROPERLY.

    Acer Travelmate — Acer is worst brand

    I purchsed Acer Travelmate, it started shutting down automatically after 1-2 hours. When shown to service centre we were told that it is heating and we should replace motherboard. I later faound that it is a design problem with Acer Laptops. Please stay away from Acer.

      i purchased acer laptop model 4710 in 2007 from indu computers jalgaon. 1 st year there is no problem in it. besically the use was is very limited but then whenever i am going to start the laptop first the screen become white and nothing is there on display. so i consult the above said dealer, and he told me that it is cable which connects screen and base problem , so he adviced me to change it. i paid him Rs. 2500 for it anf after one month he changed the cable. but again the problem is persist. even the person from Indu computers told me not to shut the laptop multiple time in a day. this is is the mostr disguting advice given ever. i sincerely advice not to buy acer products and even dont buy any product from indu computers .

        My name is Shashidhar and am working in IBM India Pvt Ltd.Two months ago I had purchased an Acer 23inch Monitor and it stopped working after a month I purchased then I called the customer care and logged an issue for the same (Ticket #:[protected].They replaced the monitor and the replace monitor is an OLD one and the display on this monitor also does not work properly so i called up the customer care again and they said they cannot open a ticket and I have to contact the Area Service Manager at[protected] and speak to Mr.CK.Rao. I called this number they took all the details and said they would investigate on it and they they did not get back to me I had to call them again and then they said they are re opening the above ticket again and the monitor will be replaced in another 1 week its been more than two weeks now and they still dont have an update on the New Monitor and whenever i call them they say we have not received your monitor yet. This is Very in convinient and if anyone can tell me how to proceed with lodging a complaint in Consumer Court I would appreciate it.

          i purchased my acer aspire 5920 laptop online from argos ltd on 08/04/2009 and on 30/09/2009 it stopped working .it has disk read error in it. i phoned acer technical support on the no.[protected] and they asked me to fax the receipt of laptop which i purchased online. i faxed them the copy of label which i got from the bag of my laptop when i got it delivered to my house as i had only that proof of purchase because when you buy something online you don't get receipt for that. they said that we can't do anything without receipt.now i went to argos and asked for receipt and they said they dont have receipt as it was purchased online. what should i do now.
          the aquaguard is not switching on
          your system of lodging complaints on interent is ABSURD. WHO WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT OTHERS PROBLEMS. SIMPLY SOLVE MINE. USELESS WASTE OF TIME AND EXPECT THE COMAPNY FUNCTIONS SAME WAY EVERY WHERE.

          one day, when i was uninstalling my avast antvirus then after uninstalling it get restarted and after restarting it when i log on my personal account then after it was not working.so, give me suggestion towards this and help me in getting my laptop free of any problem...
          May be your windows is damage and reinstall your windows.

            Dear Sirs,



            I do not know what I should describe Acer poducts....but I have a compelling reason to denounce their worthiness.

            I purchased an Acer Aspire 5536 from the Croma Mall at Bangalore on 29 Aug 2009, customer no : 9016904, Laptop Sl No : LXPAW0099320CB182000 and believe me, I have had a torrid time with the system getting disconnected immediately after connected to the LAN.

            You may want to know that I have been making numerous calls to the call centre, as well as the local service centre and a complaint no was assigned to me with Reference ID :[protected].

            Let me take you through the sequence of events, so as to correctly portray the actual deficiencies :

            1. I reported the matter of lan getting disconnected after I came back to Bangalore sometime aroud 16 Sept 2009. Till then I was not using the new laptop, as i already have a company laptop with me, which I work from home without any trouble or lan problems.

            2. The call centre each time was addressed by different people, each giving different solutions :
            - First they said that the Atheros driver was to be uninstalled and I had to download the LAN drive from the acer service site.
            - Second, they said that you will need to uninstall the Ethernet driver too.
            - Third person said that you would need to follow certain steps to get to the problem....the telephone got disconnected and after multiple attempts, there was another person that said you would need to go to the service centre.
            - The closest service centre being the Carlton centre on the Old Airport Road, I did go there.
            - They checked and said that the McAfee was to be deleted and this could be the reason for 2 antivirus software conflicting with each other on the system...
            - I came back and again had the same trouble.
            - Again i called the call centre and they said that they cannot do anything.
            - I went to the Croma shop, disgusted with the product. There the gentleman said that he would reload the O/S once more and that I will lose any saved information. I agreed and he did that and handed over the laptop to me.
            - It again had the same problem and I again called the Chroma guy.....there was a promise to call back, that never happened, despite me calling some 4 times to Croma.
            - The next day I called again and they said that I needed to go the service centre. I called the call centre and they repeated the same thing.
            - Again I went to the service centre, who asked me to load a mozilla (non explorer), which they said was better...
            - This was done and I again tried to check the same at home. No improvement.....again the LAN used to get disconnected.
            - Again I called the service centre and asked them if they could resolve the problem.
            - They asked me to lodge the laptop with them for a day or two to check out and then call me back.
            - After 2 days, they called me up on 25 Sept 2009 and asked me to take the laptop, as it was perfecctly fine.
            - I asked them what they had done. They said that they had re-installed the BIOS.
            - I came back to find the problem unresolved.
            - Since it was late in the evening, I called them the next day to inform them.
            - I requested them to call on a service guy to check out what could be the issue. I agreed to port the service rep and did so today (26 Sept 2009). He came in and said that it could be because of the proxy settings, that should not be clicked. I am not a software or a hardware specialist and hence I said that I have not configured anything myself. All I needed was my internet to work and nothing else !!!!!!!!!!!
            - The computer wa sworking then for about 30 mins, when I presumed that the bug was repaired. I dropped the service rep at the place.
            - Again when I came back in the evening and logged on. It was working for 30 mins without interruption, so I confirmed to the service centre informing them as a matter of curtesy that the laptop was working fine.
            - As luck would have it, the bug appeared immediately and the LAN again hung. The problem persisted and I called the service team there. They said that there was a holiday on Sunday, as well as Monday and that the service engineers had left the evening, so anything could be actioned on the coming tuesday (29 Sept 2009).

            I have purchased this laptop on 29 Aug 2009 and have not had a single day (forget even 1 hour) of internet disconnection....

            I demand, given this extreme mental turmoil, as welll as prolonged agony that this be esclated to whoever is seniormost in Acer India and appraise him of the defective product line.

            I am compelled by circumstances to discard this laptop, not for the lack of any service assiatance, but for the fact that this product line is defective and should be discontinued immediately in the larger interest of the customers.

            And, just in case you thought how did I type this message to you, I am doing so from another laptop, where the connectivity has / will not fail, as I type, also from home.

            It is sad how companies are unwilling to accept their defective product lines are are making customer run and be at the mercy of their service engineers, who can do as much as they can in their limited technical knowhow/experience.

            I too am disappointed wit acer's very poor dealership. I took ma Acer 4710Z laptop fr servicing in Salem to SS tech which s authorized service center n salem, Tamilnadu. I was greatly frustrated by the way those servicing engineers treated me. Despite my lap nt deliverd on time, harsh words were used upon me. I want some soarta action 2 b taken on thm. We customers r nt tat much unworthy. Damn!

              I buy this model 5730 Acer TravelMate. From the 1st day i am getting problem with my LCD Screen. That is whenever i move my laptop's Lid the whole screen is getting white color. I can't see anything then. After 10 to 12 time restart my Lappy(Laptop) this problem is solves temporarily but After some time the Lid is moved and the screen is white.

              Now the complaint is that, i call acer customer care for servicing of my lappy. They give me a address of a service center. I go and give them my lappy. They said that "We want one week to solve the problem" but today is 21th day and they are not able to solve my problem. I call them. They says that we are not getting LCD screen from upper stage so we are not able to solve your problem. They advice me to call again to the Acer Customercare Delhi Branch. I call them .
              Now They want more time. They says that the Screen reached at Khidirpur Dock but they need more 1 week to upload the Screens.

              So please give them a strong reply as soon as possible.

              I have same problem...
              Hi,

              I have bought ACER TRAVEL MATE 5730 and facing problem with white screen initially, i called up the customer service and went to the service station they repaired it but again same problem so i called all of the customer care guys and they assured me that they will change the LCD as this is the problem of all 5730 LCD..But when i left my notebook there for LCD replacement they didnt replace it instead fixed the problem and told me that the LCD is replaced.After some time again same problem started am so frastrated about this product that i would not advice anyone to buy Acer laptop as the after sales service is Horrible..

                    This feedback i,m writing on this forum, as no one at ACER Service centre -RMS Technologies Pvt. Ltd.,HYDERABAD (Im not sure about the correct name hence I,m providing the Contact no[protected] has helped me during last 15 days with my laptop problem, nor extended any help in contacting correct person to express my frustration with ACER. I logged a call on 31st Aug9 about CD Drive/Keyboard problem in my laptop Model(Travelmate 3212NWXMi). However no one attended to my call till 5th Sept9. Finally one engg attended to my laptop on 5th and changed the CD Drive. it was assured to me that within 3 days the keyboard ll be replaced. However its been more than 15 days since i have given my complaint but no action has been taken on my complaint. I,m not able to use my laptop at all as I can't even enter my password. There is no response from the ACER Service centre., and the staff is very rude, no one seems to take customer seriously. I make several calls to Mr PRASAD, incharge, but he is never bothered to even receive my calls. whenever someone attend to my call they say only one thing, part is coming from bangalore. Im a marketing executive, and without laptop, i,m feeling totally helpless, missing important activities, not able to do my job on time.

                    What pains me is the attitude of the in charge(Prasad)/coordinator(Subodh) etc, as they just not at all bothered about helping the customer. I have not got any confirmed info as of now from these people about my problem getting solved. With this feedback column i want acer to take strict action against such service centers, which makes the customer feel so frustrated, and forced to think, why on earth a brought a ACER LAPTOP.

[protected] was stolen from my home, 6, shivkul no.1, kulvaibhava nagar,achole road, nallasopara east thane, theft was happend on 25.08.2009 when my wife dipti was in kitchen to prepare hot water.my wife dipti pandey has complained( I300) to nallasopra police station, dated on 25.08.2009.                       Dear Sir,

                      I have received one Laptop ( Sr.No. LXTS80C0018410AFA91601 ) from ICFAI Management Institute Pantnagar as I was the student of the same Institude.

                      My Laptop has occured a problem of dispaly is not proper from 3rd week in the July'2011. I have logged my complaint at your customer care, Delhi against your referance ID[protected] Contact person Mr. Vibhu ).

                      Mr. Vibhu has advised me to go nearest service centre at Haldwani where contact person is available ( Mr. Vinod Joshi cell no.[protected]. I have submmitted my Laptop at your Service centre to Mr. Vinod Joshi. Mr. Joshi has not responded till one month regarding my complaint. After one moth Mr. Joshi has told me that your lap top an not be repairable, you can take back your laptop as it is otherwise I will be thrown your Laptop into the Gutter.

                      After my humble request Mr. Joshi said that I have no time to repair this type of Non sence Complaint. He has also mis behave and abuse me. He has taken my signature on blank paper and return my laptop as it is. vinod josi already drunk vine also .

                      You are requested to you Please advise me that what should I do further. If you are not giving me statisfactory reply within next four or five days then I have no option to file a legal case in consumer court against Acer India

                      I have purchased one acer laptop only 20 days back from your snap deal.com.
                      My order Number Is 84029362 acer 5560 laptop . Order By the name of My.
                      Ashish Sinha .The payment has been charged through credit card.

                      i am very much dissappointed with the laptop.Firstly your customer care
                      executive told me that linux is only a kind of sotware installed in the
                      laptop . It will work like a normal laptop and windows are there in the
                      laptop. But when the laptop delivered to my home it was just like a box for
                      me . Nothing is working in the laptop Due to the linux is installed in the
                      laptop. And its an opaerating system not a software. So because of that i
                      was unable to use it. for the whole day .
                      Next Day i had a word with snap deal exe. again he told me you have to
                      install windows in the laptop.untill and unless you cant work on the same.
                      Its not done at all...

                      i have faced many problem again n again in these two days. Next day i went
                      somewhere to install windows to my laptop. In that i spend around[protected]
                      rs.
                      After that i saw the free accessories which has been given with the laptop.

                      i had to replace my acer aspire keypad a week ago under warranty. the service centre did replace it with thorough examination. But right from that day my battery is not giving me a good backup and my laptop is making the plugin-out beep SOUND intermittently.so i went in thr and submitted my laptop.they figured out the problem ehich was with the battery . but they said they cannot change it since it is not original!! nw could that be !! i went to a service centre the first time, so thr r no chances of losing my original battery !! i strongly feel that they have deliberately or by mistake have changed my battery !!now how shall i go bout to get my original battery! if my baterry was not original wen i have submitted it, they should have informed me right away . is there any way out ?? pls help !!

                        I purchased a acer laptop a month ago... White line started appearing on lcd screen during the loading of operating system. When i contacted technical support found that its an hardware issue and a component has to replaced for rectification. As suggested gave my laptop for service on may 2nd to digital solutions acer's service center which is located in lajpat nagar. I was informed that it would not take more than 3-4 days for repair.
                        When i called up on 4th, found that its still not rectified and would take 2 more days to recieve the component..
                        When i start following up on the day committed a female () answered the call and informed that i'll have to wait until lthe component arrives and the laptop gets repaired and they are not resp0nsible for that in a sarcastic way.

                        I called up call center several times to complaint on the same and none of the agents () have not updated the conversation and i had to under go the problem explain procedure to every agent () that i interacted with about the issue.

                        Till now there's absolutely no clue when acer () would give me my laptop from service.

                        With regards to the issue mentioned above...

                        I got the LCD Replacement Done on 5th of October through Digitech Services Pvt Ltd. Since there was lock issue pending, the same was rectified on the subsequent day. Since then i dint use my Laptop.

                        Yesterday being 8th of October, am surprised that Laptop is behaving the same way it used to happen earlier. LCD goes white and screen flickers continously with Vertial Lines while i move the LCD while operating the machine.

                        Am surprised to see the kind of Diagnose that your service Center do despite of the problem re-occuring every time.

                        I neither would like to waste my time by interacting with you guyz again and again for the same problem which you guyz are not competent enough rectify the issue despite of highlighting it several times.

                        With reference to the Blog posted over the net, i had recieved couple of calls from other Acer Users seeking the resolution of the problem since they are using the similar model and experiencing the same issue.

                        Every time i've given this Laptop for repair, they've kept it Min. of 15 Days to return back the machine...

                        My Sincere request is to take this Laptop back and refund the Amount as i've completely lost complete hope on ACER...

                        Plz dont make an attempt to convince me.. since am totally PISSED OFF by ACER SERVICES...

                        Trust me i would never recommend people to buy this laptop ever again...

                        This is to share my Personal Experience about that ACER's Customer Care, and and want to say that its services SUCKS all the consumers. It has been around a month that i purchased a new ACER ASPIRE 5738, and finding that it is not shipped with Vista X64 applications and drivers, complained about it.
                        Since then till now, i had tried complaining/ contacting you via all the means provided by you, but even this simple driver and application problem can not be solved by your support center...

                        i am sorry to say that a company that doesn't cares about its customers, and is so obsessed by its products (as can be seen from all your websites which talk only og the machines and not the human experience out of it), ACER is sure to be doomed.

                        I am saying this not only as an unfortunate buyer of your product, but as an MBA- MArketing, and as an avid technology user/ reviewer/ blogger.

                        This is to bring to you kind notice that I purchased one Acer Travel Mate 5730 Notebook for my daughter on 1st March 2009 vide invoice no VLC[protected] from VCL Infotech Pvt Ltd Janakpuri New Delhi 110 058.

                        My daughter has been facing problems with the screen since the day it has been purchased. I need a replacement to this effect. How can students work with disturbance. I have complained about it several times, but to no effect from your side.

                        Every time I got it repaired it continued with same problem from the next day onwards. My daughter is in Jaipur and cant be bothered with this laptop to work and keep going to complaint centres every now and then. When ever she could make it to delhi during her holidays, we have tried to get it repaired but of no use at all. Today the system does not work at all.

                          PROBLEM-screen regularly fades out within 5 minutes of its log on...n it becomes really difficult to continue the operation in such a manner...i got this laptop from my college IIMR but now its out of warranty period jus bcoz of negligence n delay from your side...but i sincerely hope that i'll get my laptop repaired asap & with min repairing charges.

                          My self sumit gandhi, i have purchased acer laptop ASPIRE 4520 serise before one and half year. my laptops battery backup reduce from 2.5 hours to 50 minutes.                             sir i purchased a laptop on saturday,[protected] and then i came home, when i used my laptop on 16-08-09 then i found the the "L" key of the keyboard was broken.

                            so on 17-08-09 i went to the shop from where i have purchased the laptop and enquired about this matter, they asked me to go to the service center, and when i went there they said me that i have to pay Rs500/- for the replacement of keyboard which originally came broken to me by ACER. so as being a customer of acer i want assistance in this matter, and i am pretty much disturbed by having a defective laptop in my hand.

                              Dear Sir/Madam,

                              This is to bring to your notice about the pathetic quality of service offered by one of your authorized service centers COMPUTER INFO. TECH PVT. LTD. Pune. 4 months back I visited this outlet as my laptop Acer Aspire 5100 was having over-heating problem. The service center personnel told me that they will have to get a new Temperature IC to fix this issue and they will have to reload the OS. Total cost would be 3000 INR. I agreed to this as I needed my laptop urgently. I was promised that laptop will be given to me in 4 days time. It took 12 days. When I got the laptop, CD-ROM, Function Keys and 2 USB ports were not working. I am pretty sure that this was not the condition in which I had given this laptop to your people. I called up these guys to enquire what they have done to my machine and response was very rude.
                              I was out-of-station these 4 months and I visited them today again to get those earlier issues fixed. No one seem to recall anything and there was no info in their database (Not that I expected it to be there). I have asked them to reload the OS in one of the drives. There is some lady there who keeps on insisting that I buy a new CD-ROM and a new Anti-virus and many such things. When I told her that I am not in a position to buy them now, her reply was shocking, 'Then you will get your laptop with viruses'. I am sure there is no virus in my laptop. They plan to plant one in my machine if I don't by an Anti-virus from their shop. This is ridiculous. I hope something can be done about such people. Its not possible for every individual to go to a Consumer court.

                              I will advise everyone to think twice before they plan to buy an Acer laptop as service quality is exceptionally bad.

                              Acer service @ India is not poor but worse, I gave a My machine on 9th Sep 2010 and till date 8th Oct has not been rectified. Not only me I found many of them has the same status sa you see on the forums.

                                Dear Sir,

                                I had purchased a acer laptop Model Number PM5720 through the Electronics Corporation of India (ELCOT) scheme for students on 24th Aug 2008. After using the system, I found that the battery power is draining very fast and does not stay for more than half an hour. On 12/07/2009 I approched the customer support service centre "Ever Excellant Services", Kodambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, who after checking the system have said that the battery is not working and hence they will replace the same as the laptop is covered under warranty within one week. But since then, they have only one response for me, "the battery has to come from Bangalore, so please wait".

                                Here I wish to say the the distance from chennai to bangalore would be around 400 KMs and means of transport between the two cities is excellent. Only the way things are handled by Acer's support people are not as Excellant as they claim to be.

                                I have been waiting for the battery for more than one month. After investing so much money on the lap top for my education, I am unable to carry it to school and I am heavly affected because of the behaviour of Acer's support people.

                                I also feel that may be Acer is ignoring my complaint because I had bought the same through Student's scheme of Tamil Nadu Government. Or I don't know what the problem is with Acer.

                                Please ask the Excellent Services to Worst Services, Chennai.

                                My battery does not get charged, but I was recommended by acer technical support team to upgrade the Bois, the doubth I have is that will the upgradation of bois will effect any of the functions of my
                                Model No : Acer One. Since I belive That upgradation of Bios is related to the ROM of the machine so
                                Once upgraded I will not be able to Downgrade it.

By 16 Oct I found the battery was not charging, On 22 Oct 09 the laptop was given to ACER service center at JANAKPURI. Now after 15 days thety say the received a battery from Bangalore as replacement which is OLD and also non functional. This is what Great ACER is... and they hope they will survive fleecing / cheating people... God help them!!!

                                      I bought my daughter for college a top of the line Acer Aspire laptop. The first year, everything was good. Starting year two, things started to malfunction. First the camera (trip one), then the heat sink/fan (trip two). Since my extended warranty was about to run out, I wanted to have the left side USB ports replaced (not working) and DVD drive replaced. Trip three yielded a non working USB ports upon return. Another round trip to install current drivers for the USB ports at ACER.They must thing I am stupid. Another boot up, STILL yielded no USB. I suggested back on trip three that the motherboard needed replacement. Back to Texas again. New motherboard this time and new battery. Thought I was done. Five days later-dead-nothing-nada. Back to Texas again. ANOTHER motherboard with new keyboard and battery. I have to be done now, right? 10 weeks with out my laptop so far, and thousands of FEDEX miles traveled . I gave my delivery guy a big smile yesterday with my laptop in hand. NOW the battery will not charge. ACER tells me that the battery is NOT the problem. I will TELL you the problem. ACER techs are sending out faulty machines without repairing them professionally. I had my lawyer draft a letter demanding a current top of the line new replacement laptop with the same features I had before. Let's see if ACER live up to their name and takes care of me and stand behind their products.

                                      My laptop got lines on its display and took the piece to get serviced by the authorised service centre situated in cochin - edapally. My cd drive also didn't read dvd's written by me so i mentioned it in complaints. Firstly i have been used to sell and service PC's so i know the reasons for the complaints and asked the prices on local stores. Now the game starts after 2 days i got a call that the display is not working. As the cutoff switch of my laptop was a little loose it happened once before and i correpted it myself. I asked them whether the laptop is running or not and they said it is running so i told the factor of lcd cutoff switch to them and they told they will check. Then i told about the firmware update of the dvd drive as it is the reason for the complaint as i used to rectify it myself for the customers but while searching for the firmware in net the cd manufacturer is telling the firmware could only be gotten from acer itself as the model UJDA760 can't be bought from outside as its only sold with acer laptops (thats why i have to ask the service guy for the firmware).The most funny thing is the service guy is asking how one can update a cd drive's firmware he hasn't even heard of thing like that even a fresher in harware know about this. After 1 day i made a call to them them and they are telling its the problem of motherboard and it has to be rectified from bangalore. On the next day i went there and on morning they told they have sended the motherboard to bangalore and i went to the service centre on evening and asked to call the service guy and he told he has send it to bangalore. I explained the things to how rectify things and whats the real problem is and its not with motherboard, while speaking he told me to wait a minute and got inside. Now he was coming with my motherboard ( think man he told he has send the motherboard to bangalore ) .I told him to fuse the cutoff switch (that will remove the cutoff feature though for the least i don't have to bother about it anymore). After that i told how to update firmware of cd drives and he is asking the ways (he didn't know any thing of this). After 2 days that today they call me and told the display is now working and they made it by drying the laptop motherboard (am i a dump i know about pc's man) and they told the display lines is the problem of lcd and it will took 13500 rs to be get rectified (outside price of lcd on local stores is 6000 for chinese lcd and 9000 for original acer lcd). Then i asked about battery they told 5500 rs (outside price of battery on local stores is 3000 for chinese and 4000 for acer original). Now the comedy is the laptop is in the same situation as i have given the girl is saying "Sir the service charge is written on the slip (ie given to me on the day of submission of laptop)"
                                      I told i will come tomorrow and hang up the phone. Now here guys the service charge written is 750 rs. why should i pay the charge as they haven't rectified any problems on asking for firmware they are saying they asked there senior authorities and they didn't know about it or don't have it. and also they have made my cutoff switch messy due to careless removal of panels ( though i admire it was loose and should have told them to take care while working with panels). Tomorrow i am going there and going to have a written letter over all procedures and moving it legally.

                                      i am the same guy who posted this complaint the whole drama is settled by just removing the 750 rs. head of acer kerala one buddy name vinod got into act and checked all thing. Even he also told me that the firmware couldn't be gotten. For everyone's knowledge lenova is giving firmware for the same model dvd drive to there customers.

Since my extended warranty was about to run out, I wanted to have the left side USB ports replaced (not working) and DVD drive replaced. Trip three yielded a non working USB ports upon return. Another round trip to install current drivers for the USB ports at ACER.They must thing I am stupid. Another boot up, STILL yielded no USB. I suggested back on trip three that the motherboard needed replacement. Back to Texas again. New motherboard this time and new battery. Thought I was done. Five days later-dead-nothing-nada. Back to Texas again. ANOTHER motherboard with new keyboard and battery. I have to be done now, right? 10 weeks with out my laptop so far, and thousands of FEDEX miles traveled . I gave my delivery guy a big smile yesterday with my laptop in hand. NOW the battery will not charge. ACER tells me that the battery is NOT the problem. I will TELL you the problem. ACER techs are sending out faulty machines without repairing them professionally. I had my lawyer draft a letter demanding a current top of the line new replacement laptop with the same features I had before. Let's see if ACER live up to their name and takes care of me and stand behind their products.

                                      Vanaf 30 september 2009 probeer ik mijn Acer Aspire One ter reparatie aan te bieden via tel.[protected]. Helaas moet ik konstateren DAT mijn telefoonkosten, heb al 12 keer gebeld, behoorlijk oplopen maar het resultaat is nul komma nul. Veel beloftes worden gedaan, maar ik wacht nog steeds. Ook zijn de mensen die ik aan de lijn krijg slecht Verstaanbaar en geven de indruk DAT ze niet weten waar ze het over hebben. Ik heb al een RMA-nummer maar krijg geen ups-label en geen telnummer van de Desbetreffende koerier. Ik vind DAT er een onderzoek moet komen naar het personeel op de klantenservice en Tevens wil ik mijn geld terug voor het Onnodig Moeten bellen naar 0900 nummers. Mijn laatste stap is dat ik nu verwacht van Acer DAT ik binnen 24 uur geholpen wordt, is dit niet Het geval dan acht mij De noodzaak mij te wenden tot de klachtengeschillencommissie en daarnaast Radar in te schakelen dan de barre service van Acer.

                                      i completely agree. we should file a suit against acer company. case for frauding its customers. they just know to loot people.

                                      I had purchased acer laptop 3 years back and after 5 6 months i was not able to see the screen properl. The screen used to be full white and i had to restart the whole pc. Recently I had given it to reliable computers in vile parle mumbai and they said that the problem was with the IC and they charged 5500 from me telling that they have replaced the ic with a new one which i dont think so. it was fine for 2 3 days. then later i was facing the same problem. I talked on the phobe with them. they wanted to take my laptop gain but i refused as i dont trust them anymore. I wanted them to repair in front of me which they refused. I need a resolution for this as i feel they have cheated me. I want strict action to be taken against them.

                                      really the quality of acer notebook is really worst...i brought it in june after two months curser strat hanging thn its start sounding bfr start...really bad exepirence...never go for acer ...

                                      my name is githesh,im a health worker,i bought a new laptop last year march 1st.there for the warranty of my product ends this month.now im really fed up because that the laptops mother board got a serious complaint after 13 days from the end day of warranty,i think that this is a way of them to sell laptops..too bad...sir i am a below average man and i don't have enough money to pay.please help me sir only 13 days are over please i beg you sir
