I have requested for mobile number portability of my vodafone number [protected] on 20th August 2014 at Shop No-24, No:66, YES YES Arcade, Secretariat Colony, Ambattur, Chennai-600 053. on the same day at 7 pm i got a call from the aircel care ambattur from the person with whome i registered for portability stating that he missed the porting code and asked for it, so messaged him that.
when i went for porting at the customer care it took nearly 20 min for just to register, and the person who did that was chatting with all the female co workers there. i was little frustrated when he started flirting with the staffs there without filling the form. i tolerated since in need to complete the port and move out of there. i dont know how they employ these kind of people.
1. I got a message from aircel on 21st aug 2014 evening 5:11 pm that port in request for the mobile number has been initiated with VT117184.
2. On the same day 21st aug 2014 at 5:17 PM i received a message from vodafone that they have received my porting request.
3. On 25 aug 2014 6:11 PM i received a message from vodafone that my porting request has been approved and they will communicate the porting date shortly.
4. on the same day 25th aug 2014 at 9:28 PM i received a message from aircel that my porting request is approved and will be activated at 10:37 the same day
5. at around 11:30 pm or so my vodafone network was down so i switched the sim to which they gave me when registering.
6. the new sim which was inserted did not select aircel network. i tried to manually search and select it but no use. tried to restart the phone still the same.
7. in the morning 26th aug 2014 i called the help line and selected MNP option and the people who spoke does not know what iam speaking about and i was bounced couple of times and finally one person said that you have landed to GPRS department and for this issue you need to get in touch with the customer care as we cannot do any thing. it took 6 calls and nearly an hour of my time to find this info
8 so i called the guy who already called me since the only number that i had was his number.
at 11:55 AM i called him and explained my issue he asked me to message my mobile number since he was on the way to the office. at around 6:09 PM i called him to check the status, he said to reboot the phone and check. i did that and still my sim showed "Emergency Calls Only"
9, called him back at 8:18 Pm and informed the same he said he will check and get back to me.but i have not received any call from him the next day.
10, so i called him at 12:10 pm noon on 27th aug 2014 to check the status he said that he is out and will call me back but have not heard from him
11. at aroung 5:15 PM i tried calling him but there was no response, he did not pickup the call
12, today at 2:56 PM i called him again asking him that my number is down for nearly 4 days and when will it be resolved he said that he will check and get back to me. now the time is 10 PM and till now i have not received any update from him.
Iam sure that he is a very poor seed in the organisation, i should not have believed in him that he will address this. since iam constantly on the move iam not able to go to a customer care and file a complaint, is there some one from aircel WHO ACTUALLY WORK can fix the issue and make my number work.
