Hi,



I have ported from BSNL to Airtel postpaid ([protected]) using mobile number portability facility (MNP).

My number was converted to Airtel postpaid on 19 Sept, 2012 and since then I am facing the problems.


My phone worked for a few days and on 22, Sept my outgoing calls are barred. I contacted on Customer Care and was told that the address verification had failed and therefore services had been stopped. I asked the reason for failed address verification but was told that system is only showing failed status.

I fail to understand the reason behind this i reached Airtel customer office ( Swagat Communication, Jodhpur ) from where i purchased the postpaid sim and submit ID proof , photo. They told me that your address verification is negative; instead no one came from airtel for address verification in my home. Then they sad ok i will resume your outgoing calls & they do it and also sad airtel boy will come to your home for address verification. i also booked online complaint for this whose no is PR[protected] which was not yet resolved..

Again after two days they stopped my outgoing calls then again i reached airtel office and sad about this then airtel boy said that the system will automatically stopped your outgoing call and then they rectify this and my outgoing calls starts working.



But again after 2 days this time outgoing as well as my incoming call was barred(mobile shows sim rejected) after this I went to the airtel office several times but they were not at all supportive and neither their customer care helpline DID anything about it. Sometimes they said your address is wrong or sometimes they said your address is out of our service area. I gives some examples of airtel postpaid users which far away (5-6km) from my home address then they said we can't help you.



I said if my home address is out of your service area then you will told me when i purchased the sim and submit the document then they said sorry sir

My cell number is in wide circulation with my clients, colleagues and friends and any change in number will have adverse professional consequences for me.

Please look into the matter urgently

My connection has not been restored despite repeated attempts with
Airtel customer care department.

AirTel — INCOMING & OUTGOING CALLS BARRED

Dear Sir/Madam,

I’m to say that my incoming & outgoing calls has been barred on 29th September.
My mobile number is [protected]
You people not even gave single prior intimation that you want to verify the address.
My birthday was on 30/9/08 and you had the blocked the number on 29/9/08.
You just think about it what was my position.
You want to verify the address so I again submitted the documents in Sec07 Rohini, Delhi Branch on 1/10/08.
But till now i.e., on 7/10/08 my number is not active still its blocked.
The people who are working in rohini airtel branch does not know how to talk with customers.
I’m an working person, U just tell me as I have to go again & again for verification & how many times I’v to submit the documents.
Nobody come to my house for verification.

So please do the needful & active my contact number with in oneday.
I[censored] r not able to do them I’ll fwd the same mail to TRAI also & consumer forum.

airtel/postpaid — barred outgoing calls

This is Jaideep Nayak from India. I've been using Airtel postpaid connection for the last 3 months. They had barred my outgoing calls due to a slight delay in payment for the previous month. fair enough. On sundat the 8th of Feb 2009 at 9.45 AM I made tghe payment and got an acknowledgement in the form of an SMS. After thet I've called up theirCustomer care 6 times and every time there has been wrong information been given. My outgoin calls have not been activated even after nearly 24 hrs. I even talked to a manager once who soundede sleepy at best . This is just outrgeous to say the least. So much for being the biggest Telecom company in the country.

iam using airtel services since 3 years suddenly on dated 28.07.2009 on the particular day without intimation without any message airtel people barred my mobile phone for reverification of my documents iam using service since 3 years iam using only one pre paid service of this airtel how come they dont even inform is that not thier responsibility to inform or they simply taking customer for granted iam totally felt bad for this service my mobile no is [protected] plz take an neccessary action against airtel

Airtel — outgoing calls barred automatically

Dear Sir,
My self Amit Yawalkar, i was purchase a airtel sim card at 24 of july and submit my all the documents to the dealer. But suddenly from yesterday means 6th of august my all outgoing call has bared, i am not able to make outgoing calls and the error coming during the outgoing call is "your document verification has not complete thats why you do not make outgoing call. Its kindly request to service provider that i attache my identity documents now.
And please help of this document start my outgoing call.

Airtel — Outgoing barred then Incoming barred

I purchased a sim(subscribers identity module) on 4th of nov. 2010 and submitted my documents that day itself. Then just the next day my sim was activated. After few days my outgoings were barred, then i re-submitted my documents in airtel showroom at Indiranagar,bangalore. They told me that my outgoings will be activted within 48 hrs . but still it wasnt activated, i called to the customer care they told me to re-re-submit the documents . I re-re-submitted the documents on 19th nov 2010,within 10 minutes they activated my outgoing calls. After few hours then my Incoming calls were barred. I again gave a call to customer care they are now telling me to re-re-re-submit the documents

Airtel — All incoming and outgoing calls barred

Sir,

I am an Airtel customer with mobile number [protected]. I have migrated from postpaid to prepaid. I have submitted all the required documents for migration. After 3 days of activity all my incoming and outgoing calls were barred. Even the incoming and outgoing messages were barred. I have raised a complaint with the customer care and it is 3 weeks now. They didnt resolve this issue. I was fed up calling the customer care. they say that all the settings at their end were fine and they have asked me to do some settings on my mobile. I have tried those settings but in vain. Since my incoming and outgoing messages were also barred, I cannot use the mobile number portability. Is it possible to send an SMS from a different number? If I call customer care different people will attend the call and they ask me to give them some time. My alternate contact number is [protected]. Are these people avoiding mobile number portability by disabling the incoming/outgoing messages/calls? Can you please suggest something to retain this number? Thank you in advance.

The issue is not yet resolved. I was out of station and could not follow the chain. Thank you for the initiative but its already one month. Please do it immediately.

Airtel — reg : Barred incoming and outgoing calls

This is to your kind consideration that my Airtel prepaid number: [protected] (New Delhi) has been barred that to both incoming and outgoing call facilities while iam on a business meet to hyderabad, on visiting Airtel customer care office again and again in hyderabad i am in a situation that iam helpless as these guys telling me to go to delhi customer care from where you purchase the sim, this type of issues should be taken seriously, i request to airtel authorities to resolve my problem as soon as possible

    i took a airtel sim with number [protected] in the month of august , and it is now showing unregistered sim ,i have submitted all documents twice , now talking to the dealer he says i have no clue,the distributor is not answering calls , i have distributed the number to all my clients and without phone it is a big problem with no one adressing the problem.

    I have been using an airtel prepaid number ([protected]) since 5 years. In between for 3 months i stopped using it as i had to go to another state for pursuing my Post Graduation. On 11th Dec 2011, i started using the same number, after working properly for 4 days, it stopped working since 16th. As i did not receive any prior intimation or message from air-tel regarding my number deregistration, i used it for my bank accounts and PAN card which i opened in past 2 weeks. Now airtel people are not giving proper response for my query and I'm being told that i will not get my number back even if I'm willing to use it regularly and pay new activation charges.
    As per their rules, they have the right to block my Sim for not using it for 3 months, but why was i provided service for 4 days and even my recharge was accepted during that period. During that period, as i was not informed about the deregistration, i used the same number for my personal accounts from where i may get security code or important data.

      Slow Airtel 3G Dongle Internet Speed ...

      Myself Vipul S. B., for last two days I am getting very slow 3G internet speed (upto 90 KBPS)on My Airtel 3G Dongle No. - [protected] where as before that I was getting upto 3 MBPS (average of 1.5 MBPS) I was highly satisfied by Airtel's Service and speed. I faced the same problem on 1st July 2012 and after submitting complaint in www.consumercomplaints.in it took 13 days to solve the matter making numerous calls to airtel Customer care and their representatives. I request to Airtel to solve this problem at earliest possible time or else I have to take legal action against them.

      I don't want to be harassed again and again by customer care and delay in solving complaint. As I am an IT professional and my livelihood depend upon internet work please look after this matter as soon as possible or this time I will have no option but to take legal action as well as migrating to another 3G Operator.

      I hope you guys at Airtel will solve my problem soon.

      Hi m from Silchar(Assam)
      U will b astonished at my 2G Airtel internet situation.Few days earlier I used 2 get Speed of 450-560KB/S(nearly 5.5Mbps) only betwn 5Pm-10Pm(Evening), after dat it comes fixd to 10KB/S(80Kbps), constant at dis particular digit.But it again nw became fixd at 80Kbps(Anytime).There is no fluctuation in Speed, whether it is Early morning or late night.I wants to know from any Experienced reader What type of Situation it is and how comes technology as such.I too study Communication, But i never came across such situation

        My balance got deducted on 4th of October saying tht i have downloaded games and surfed the net.My Rs.378 got deducted on the same day.I didn't get a proper reply from the Airtel customer care,not satisfactory at all.I didnt download anything from my cell nor i surfed the net.I hav unlimited internet broadband at my place so there is no need for me to download anything from the net.My card is a government card so i will go to the higer court for this bad treatment.5-10 rupees is ok but you have taken my 378 rupees which is a big amount.As i can see on this site there are lot of complaints against Airtel.Please take a strict action against Airtel.This cannot be tolerated.my number is [protected]
        without inform me,they started cricket pact.every day they chage for it from 5th march.how they can start a service pact without telling costumer?Manytimes they have started a many services without asking me.there are 10065 complaints againts airtel.why dont u stop them?ther are lots of complaints so please do some action.

          i request for the mobile portability from airtel to other operator,
          next day,airtel operator call me and and told not to port the no for next two months and for that two months they gave me 200 local and 100 std min.,
          but when the bill generated these minutes didn't compensate.
          then i made call to customer care and complaint a request for this, but they told these minutes are not compensate in ur bill.
          The complaint no for this request is 46033166.

            airtel activated facebook 20 service on my mobile a month ago. this service is useless for me. it has been renewed 3 times and i lost total 60 rupees. i tried to deactivate service by calling 121. but reply comes "sorry, currently we are unable to see service activate on your mobile"

                pl. refer my c.id. no.[protected] of airtel digital tv and refer my complaints nos. 23929684,23994462 &24293823 of dtd. 20.09.12,21.09.12& 27.09.12 and the finaly reference of senior supervisor of exclation deptt. transaction i.d[protected] and transaction i.d. no. 24513789 dtd. 02.10.12 i got the assurance to get my set box set right to day by evening and i was given some tel . nos. [protected],[protected] by sms from airtel digital tv but no one attended the cal and the whole day gone and no service engineer attended my faulty setup box so far.

                kindly do the needfull to penalise the airtel digital tv who is forcing me to be out of world for last 15 days and least bother to attend this setup box problem.Every time when i talk to cutomer care no. i get the answer taht your problem will be attended in next 24 hours time and every time a different person is attending the call due to which customer is facing problems and when it is requeted to talk to senior person they keep on holding on phone for more than 1/2 an hour time and no connection is made to talk.
                please do acknowledge the problem of mine as it has become difficult to be out of touch of the world now.

                Airtel Digital TV Setup Box — Frequent reception failures

                I am a Airtel Digital TV Customer (Id[protected]. My compliant reg. frequent interruption (on every 5 Minutes) in receiption of signals is not yet attended even after elapsing 5 days of reminding daily basis (Serv. Request No.4409702 of 8th Nov'2010). Airtel's Customer Care is very very POOR and providing hopeless service. Probably they find joy in the sufferings of their customers. Hence, my only advise to general public is to THINK TWICE OR THRICE BEFORE GOING FOR Airtel Digital Connection due to bitter experience.

                  I am not using the TEL NO 45025148 for two years but still there is call from AIRTEL for the outstanding bills. I have paid all the outstanding bills. I donot know what to do do. The Airtel customer Service says the phone has been disconnected in month of JAN 2012, but still the bills are raised again and again , month after month. pls let me know what to do.

                    Dear Sir,

                    My name is R.Madhankumar am residing at coimbatore. Am holding airtel mobile services from 2002 same number [protected], on a cug with [protected] my father and [protected] my wife(added a year back), under supersaver cug199/- plan. Airtel broadband service landline no: [protected] and Airtel digital.

                    Last month they have levied a one time charges ofRs.300/- in father's bill.When checked with customer service person named Shoiab of 13th September 12, said it is activation charges. As it is a long time holding number when crossed checked he said he will raise complaint for reversal of charge and asked to pay the balance and gave service no:45849279. In spite of me saying this should not reflect in my next bill which he also assured.

                    But again in this month previous balance of Rs.300+charge of Rs.97/- if reflecting. When checked with customer service person Mr.Satish he said on checking " Sir that call No.45849279 is closed stating the charge is because of shifting of Account no.

                    My question to him was
                    1) where is the shifting of Account number arises when this no is held for more than 10 yrs?

                    2) That beeing the case is it not required for the concerned department to revert back to customer check explain or take his concern and close the call?

                    for which he siad that is different department and he is not aware of it.

                    Similarly my monthly broadband/landline charges is raised without taking our concern.

                    Am planning to cancel all my relationship with Airtel.

                      Hi,

                      This is regarding my call to Airtel customer care few days back regarding activation of GPRS plan on my postpaid connection. The executive shared a plan of INR 199/- - 2GB and offered me the same plan in INR 149/- to which i asked that what if i activate this plan in 2-3 days and he agreed by saying this offer is valid to me and i can call back anytime to get it activated. But when i called the customer care after 2 days to get it activated they denied of offering any such plan to me which was really shocking and when i discussed the same with oneof their senior authorities they told me that the executive offered me this plan by mistake which was totally as he was lying to me. I am really shocked with Airtel's behaviour on this as i have been their loyal customer since 4 yrs without aby delayed payment. Kindly help me in resolving this issue.

                        I am Paramita Bhowmick,user of Airtel 3G net connection.I am using this connection for more than 5 months.It promises you to give 3G speed,but it is not worth of paying 1000/- per month.I use internet for various purposes,now I can hardly do anything.Last month on 26th september I paid the bill,&hoped to see a improved network connection,but when I clicked on usage 2 days later,it was showing ''Your approximate 3G Data usage as on 28/09/2012 is 6144 MB''. it is totally ridiculous. It is getting worsre day by day.I tried to attach some screen shots of the network speed,but the network is too slow to be attached.What kind of service is this?& Customer cares are just good for nothing.

                          I am working in Indian Railways Organisation at Bhusawal in Central Railway. and sim/mob. number [protected] is provided me by Railways as CUG. There are the two value added services i.e. 1. DESI TASHAN & 2.SUB CONTEST, have been started since long by Airtel; which were never requested to activate. Sincere Efforts were made by me and Competent Authority of Railways, but it is very regret to state that till date the said value added serveries have not been stooped and nor the amount is refunded in respect to sim/mob.number- [protected].
                          Sir you are once again requested to stop the value added services and refund the amount recovered against the same services.

                          Sir, I am also using the another sim/mob. number --[protected] of Air Tel; which is also forcely active by value added services i.e. CONTEST PACK, for which I was never requested to activate. I hereby request u to stop the Value Added Services and refund the amount recovered against sim/mob. numbers i.e. 1] [protected]. & 2] [protected]. and never restart in future.                                 Sir,

                                This is the 4th remainder to you about your airtel digital tv for my id no.[protected]-validity up to Nov 6th 2012. The complaint is no view of all channels and the error code shows as 4 which please note.

                                Already I made complaint 4 times to your customer care [protected] but there is no response and they are telling hold the line to check then after a minute the line was disconnected. Is this your customer care? You are insulting the customers and If you did not activate the tv channels within 12 hours I have to complaint to Consumer court.

                                  i have submitted all the documents required for re-verification of my mobile no [protected] at local customer care on 21st sep'2012. But on the 29th sep'2012 night, my sim got rejected suddenly. on 1st october 2012, i visited the local customer care at Namrup,Dibrugragh. After that my service resumed but all my remaining balance along with GPRS balance become zero.i also worth mentioning that i have life time validity sim whose validity was upto 2025 but now validity reduce to dec'2012 only.

                                    I have trying following up with the Airtel Team - Ahmedabad S.G. Highway for CUG cancellation and Portability, with respect to same i have done several verbal communication and visit to the above store as well, after taking so much of follow-up i have given a written application on 20th Sep 2012, however there is no responce from the Airtel Side with respect my request

                                    I would request you to please intervene and help get the same ASAP

                                      Hi,
                                      On September 17th using mobile number portability option i switched from tata docomo to Airtel. From then onwards i am not getting incoming calls to my mobile([protected]). I tried to call 121 number of times(till date i tried nearly 200 times but i was able to speak with them only twice or thrice).

                                      So the customer care people are saying that i didnt submitt any proofs. But i did that on the day i took the sim. Any how as per the request i re-submitted them again to the dealer. Even after submitting the proofs i didnt get incoming.

                                      I hate this customer care number. It is giving number of options but not giving me an option to speak with executive.Now i got a chance to speak with him and this time they are saying some technical issue and logged a complaint. Complaint number is CPIUC[protected]. This was registered on 24th september and it was intimated that it will be resolved in 2days. Till now i dont have any response regarding this complaint.

                                      Now i visited Airtel office at Asilimetta junction,Near sampath vinayagar temple,Vishakaptnam. There after taking the token and waiting for nearly 1.5 hrs , i got a chance to speak with the representive over there. She asked me the problem and i explained here then she said it is a technical problem and they are logging the complaint and it will be resolved in 48hrs. I asked her for acknowledgement and she replied that they dont provide any acknowledgement.I am waiting for nearly 4 days but the problem is not yet resolved. One thing i dont understand is if they dont provide me any acknowledgement how i can say that i complained about it.This is really really worst.
                                      Its been so long and i am missing number of important calls.
                                      So i would like to file a case against airtel regarding this according to consumer protection act.

                                      AirTel — Not receiving incoming calls

                                      Not able to receive INCOMING Calls from other airtel mobile phones. OUTGOING is working,
                                      When others call me at AIRTEL mobile number [protected] they get message "INVALID NUMBER"

                                      Please sort out this problem. I have launched complaints with both Delhi and Punjab Customer Care Centre.

                                      Tata Docomo, Airtel — Not getting incoming calls from Airtel

                                      Dear Sir/Madam,

                                      I am Anirban Mete, my mob. no. is [protected]. I ported in from BSNL cell one to Tata Docomo on 29/01/2010. Now there is no problem on outgoing calls, but I am not getting incoming calls from any Airtel no and from any Reliance no.

                                      I am complying about this issue in Tata Docomo. and the reference no is NWK[protected].

                                      Tata Docomo, Airtel — SMS service scam

                                      My maid is illiterate. She was getting a lot of SMS messages on her phone. On checking, we realised that she has unknowingly subscribed to messages for which she would be charged. How it works is a message flashes on your phone. If any button is pressed, the service gets activated. She unknowing had subscribed to three such message services for which she was paying Rs.4.50 everyday. She is a person who does not earn much, and to be cheated into getting such things is not fair. Like her, there must be millions of illiterate people who are getting cheated by mobile service providers.
                                      I ported my number- [protected] from aircel to airtel and i have no network on aircel, which means my number is ported . I inserted my new airtel sim card . i have full network there but im not able to make any calls & no incoming calls as well. I can only contact 121 . They say wait for 7 days???

                                      Does it make sens, to wait for a week. I never knew number portability creates such a hassle

                                      I am in sales job and i incur loss without phone.

                                      I have submitted all documents to airtel relationship centre
                                      Please advice

                                        Im using airtel for the past 4 yrs.. unnecessarily my account balance was detucted and they activating any VAS(value added services) i called to customer care and informed about my problem but very poor responce i got.. i m very vex in using airtel operator... so please i request you to tak necessay actions regarding the problem..

[protected] and get balance of Rs.102 on 23/06/2015 .i have not make any call or downloading on 24/06/2015 the balance shows nil after complaining customer care executive. she told me about 100 Mb data used in yours number please justified me the data cost and which plan get extraordinary charge to another network without service it deducted please consider the matter my alternate no -[protected]
