I purchased Airtel DTH changing from Tata Sky thinking it would be great also Airtel provides more tamil channels and now I find myself in pathetic position, when Tata Sky was installed, I never knew there is something called activation since everything was automatic, smooth and fast, the moment it was installed it was working beautifully, Airtel was such a disappointment I purchased through sales agents from Customer Care, the moment they sold me the connection I could never call them back, my number was blocked as well. The installation happened after 2-3 days, then after 3 days it is still not activated, I made endless calls, everytime I was promised that someone will call me back, mails will be sent to higher tech teams, the activation happens within 4 hours etc, but nothing happened.
I bought HD connection, I was told since I was a postpaid Airtel customer I would get HD box for 2299/- and get 1 month south economy sports pack with lifetime free Tamil channels. Impressed with this I made a regretting mistake, if Airtel could not fix the technical problems since it is already too late for a TV connection pls refund my money and take the dish and box I could at least use my existing Tata Sky connection.

Airtel — discrimination in service provided
On dated 5th of January 2008 I have received a message from Airtel Info that my all locals calls are only @1Rs./minut. Subsequently I have inquired from 12131 they also confirm me that now my all locals calls are @1Rs./minut. But when I have made a call to our friend who is a local number I am charged @Rs.2.25/minuts by your company. When I enquired today i.e. on 22.01.2008 from 121(customer care) Mr. Vipul, Executive of your company stated that I am using an another scheme which 37 recharge which reduce my STD call rates. Hence, the scheme provided by Airtel i.e. all local call @1 Rs/minute has been deactivated as I cannot avail two or both the schemes at a time.Now I state that when I scheme is provided by your company to all the customers using bundle handset officers without charging any money/rent I am also eligible for the above scheme even after using the deferent scheme because for another scheme I have paid Rs.37 extra inspite of all other customers.
I also state that if your company has prescribed any such terms & condition/restriction as discussed above is not fair with me and these types of terms & condition makes you services discriminatory and arbitrary.
