This is in reference to Airtel Number [protected], for which all the bills have been cleared. But repeatedly calls are being made stating that there is an outstanding amount of Rs. 1696.00 on this number.
This started when one of our employees left the organization in March, this number was allotted to her and the bills were paid by the company. We made a request for surrender of connection in March and were told that there is an outstanding amount and without clearing that, the services cant be stopped.
After the generation of next bill, services were stopped and Airtel people started chasing us for Rs. 4147.20. Out of this Rs. 4147.20, Bill for Feb - March was Rs. 2451, which was paid after the bill generation. Still we were being bothered for Rs. 1696.00.
We checked our internal records and past bills and found that this bill dates back to the usage for the period of 8.10.11. to 7.11.11 and the same was paid on 30th November 2011 (Cheque no. 399645, Bank of Maharashtra, Issued on 22nd Nov 2011).
We sent a mail to Airtel stating that this payment has not been updated in their records. We have sent them the bills for last one year alongwith Bank of Maharashtra statement showing the payment details.
But Airtel people and the settlement party seems to be a bunch of fools, thrice we have mailed these details to them, still a court notice has been sent to us.
This is not enough, they sent a person for collection of payment, who was rude and pathetic. And apart from this we are constantly getting calls and those who call up are lacking mannerism and understanding.
One snapshot showing the bills on the rightmost column, cheque number and cheque clearing date has been attached with this complaint.

Airtel — Bill for Mobile Service being sent even after closure of connection
Hi,I have a serious concern the way your billing department is working.Airtel connection for number [protected] has been closed and all pending amount has been cleared.
All my communication with Airtel customer care ( [protected]@in.airtel.com) has been registered in the e-mail chain which has with sub-line 'CLOSE CONNECTION FOR [protected] [|BAL|[protected]|[protected]|]' ,which can be retrieved by Air-tel Customer-Care Personal (if anyone is seeing this post).
However couple of days back, I got a mail from Airtel with a new bill for the month of May 2011 (refer 3rd attachment).
I really don’t understand how an corporate Airtel account remain active even after request was placed long back (19-April 2011) and all pending amounts are cleared (see attachment 1 and 2)? Is this the way your long term customers are treated these days? ( 3 years with Airtel, with Broadband, DTH, Landline, 2 cell connection-- I had for my stay in Bangalore since last 3 years) This is not acceptable.
Please see to this ASAP and provide proper resolution.
