Airtel 3G Data card (prepaid) speed was initially 5 Mbps shortly after buying it for Rs.999 from Croma. After a few days, speed is down to 236.8 Kbps.
Airtel is not delivering what it has been paid for. Email to Airtel remains unanswered.

Airtel - Pl refer to following from Airtel :

Your request has been acknowledged. Your reference no. is PR[protected].
We will get back to you in 2 working days.Please provide this reference No. for any future correspondence related to this enquiry.
Inspite of airtel saying that they would revert in 2 days, there is no response from them. Very poor service.
It is now proved that Airtel is not sticking to it's commitments. I have wasted my money already, my advice to those who are going in for data cards -

DO NOT EVER BUY AIRTEL !
Still no resolution from Airtel.
Airtel service is terrible - you advertise for 3G service but are unable to provide it even after you have taken money, you should refund cost of 3G device. ref my complaints PR[protected] PR[protected] PR[protected] PR[protected] dtd 20 apr 2012 and PR[protected] dtd 28 apr 2012.nothing has been done.Latest complaint number is PR[protected].dated 14 May 2912.
Airtel service is shocking !!!

    Hi,

    I am using airtel prepaid connection from 2005. From 2nd March, 2012; I have started receiving unfamiliar calls from different numbers. On 02/03/2012 at 03:51 PM from [protected], on 17/03/12 at 08:49 AM from [protected] and yesterday from [protected] at 10:23 PM. First two folks were saying that they even received a call from my number and ranted them, but truly I didn't. Yesterday's called made me frenzy. He called me at 10:23 PM and start farting me without any reason. I don't know the guy. Please do some necessary steps; I have to clamp down on it in a distinct way otherwise.

      When I applied for the broadband connection on 26th september ,the application
      no was TBLR 256893. The airtel agent Vijay Kumar(DS1192019) took the rental
      aggrement and a cheque of 999 rs. That 999 rs is deducted from my account but
      after three month i told lots of time for refund amount because they did not provide broadband connection still now and I raised
      lots of complain..No one took any action.

      I raised a complain for refund amount of 999.
      Complain no :9305612 ( date : 25/12/2011)
      Application no TBLR 256893

      They told that there was a miss match of name between in the application form and my airtel account [protected] .
      But when i applied for broad band connection I gave then the voter ID card and My name was clearly mentioned in voter ID card.
      How this is miss match of my name.

      I want to get back my 999 rs.

      I raised lots of complain for that but they are telling the miss match of my name.
      I attached the scan copy of my application form.

        Dear Sir,
        I have a postpaid connection from Mysore, Karnataka and the number being [protected]. I have been using this connection from past four to five years approximately. I work for ICICI Bank and have an official connection for which the bill is paid by the bank.
        The number [protected] is being utilized by my wife. The monthly bill from the first month I got the connection some wherein 2007/2008 till the month of Jan 2012 is on an average of Rs. 400.00 and a maximum usage of airtime I have paid Rs. 700.00. There is an ECS facility that has been linked to my salary account that clears month on month without fail.
        I write this mail to express my grievance that has not been solved by the Nodal Department SR# 42445561.
        1. To the best of my knowledge I had not expressed any interest in activating GPRS on the number [protected].
        2. There is no intimation and information of activating GPRS by Airtel. I gave a call to call center to find out how GPRS was activated? I got information that the same was activated on13.01.2012 without my knowledge or my request to activate GPRS. When questioned about the same the answer given by the call center executive was - "GPRS has been activated by the back end team and probably it has been activated as it is free on your number." I know nothing in this world comes free!
        3. I have been billed for an amount of Rs. 14419.88 ps., the break up being Rs. 12746.30 for 1243 MB for GPRS usage for just two days 19.02.2012 and 20.02.2012 (which has not been utilized by me) and Call charges of Rs. 66.00 plus the monthly rental of Rs. 249.00 for which the total is Rs. 315.00 and tax of Rs. 1341.88.
        4. My credit limit on the number [protected] is Rs. 2200.00. My question is why was I allowed to be billed tillan amount of Rs. 14419.88. Why was the number not blocked from the services when it reached the credit limit?
        I honestly express that the use age of GPRS that has been billed on my number has not been utilized by me. Probably this should be a SCAM by Airtel to penalize for no fault of the customer. I request you to get your team investigate on the below mentioned points.
        i) Why was GPRS activated on my number as I had not expressed any interest to activate the services?
        ii) Why was my number NOT BARRED from the services when the usage exceeded my credit limit of Rs. 2200.00
        III) Investigate in detail on the usage as the number is being used on a low end handset Samsung SGH - E250.
        iv) Can anybody use 1243 MB of GPRS in just two days on Samsung E250 handset as I am ready to handover the handset for your investigation.
        I hope I get justice as I am being honest to quote that I have not enjoyed GPRS services. I request you not to debit the amount from my bank account through ECS until the investigation is done.

          my mobile number is [protected] and the company is Airtel..
          since i have difficulties with the network and Internet problem i opted for portability in BSNL,
          then i got a call from airtel, the number is [protected]....
          the person asked me why you want to leave airtel network....
          i told him that i have network and Internet problem then he told me that we(airtel) can solve your problem and don't leave our network....
          i think that they would solve it... but the problem is not solved and nothing done from airtel....



          after that i again opted for portability from airtel to vodafone.....
          i filled up the form in vodafone store at anand on date[protected] and the time is 5:40 pm between 5:50 pm....
          since that time i got total 6 calls from the mobile number [protected]....

          i am totally disturbed with their service and they constantly calling me like hell...

          today on date 18-3-12 i again got call from airtel([protected]) that why you opted for portability....
          i described the person that i have network and Internet problem and i want to go in vodafone network....
          the person cut the call.....



          again 3:11 pm i got a call....because i am totally angry at that time i told him that i don't like airtel service and he threaten me that if you not speak politely i may cancel your form ....



          if a person disturbed me all the time and how can i speak politely.....
          if my number [protected] is not portabled to vodafone then i prefer the court.....
          i have enough proof and even recording so airtel cant tell me i am wrong....
          otherwise i preferred to buy a new sim card of vodafone if they cancel my form....
          not even mine but my 4 family members used airtel and i may changed all their airtel sim cards and replaced them with vodafone....
          just wait what airtel is going to do... and then i proceed to next step....

            I have bought 42" LED TV, 2 month back. I opted for 'Airtel HD Recorder' considering it has good technical features.

            I would like make you guys cautious as I am experiencing very poor service from Airtel digital.

            It was painful experience, I hope you won't go through same.
            .
            I have been calling Airtel every day 5 times regarding a pending new installation after paid in full 4 weeks ago but the response is very poor. No response by email. The call centre gives me a standard answer to get back to me in 10 minutes - promised at least 30 times - but no single call is received until now. Stay away from Airtel DTH.

              I am having fixed line line connection[protected] with broadband and IPTV connection . TV hangs on when ever I receive call or give call from this connection . Message " waiting for Signal " appears. I have to shut down complete system , the restart it . This probelm is coming from 05.03.2012 onwards.Many times Airtel engineers visited my place , But of no use , problem still persists. I have contact airtel customer care officers on 198 , every time I get false promises . Pl help in resolving this issue

                i have analysed on 13 march, 2012 that my balance is reducing during everyday by 1 rupee. therfore i contacted airtel customercare they told me that i had activated cricket update scheme on 24 december ,2011 for which everyday rupee 1 has been deducted ......while i have not activated that scheme and also not received any cricket message..... so i want my money to be refunded from 24dec to 14march.......

                I have done a recharge via airtel money an airtel number but by mistake the recharge was done on wrong number. When I contacted Airtel fro the same, they said that the balance will not be refunded.

                    Dear Sir,

                    I've purchased an Airtel Digital TV set top box with antena on last March, 2011. The monthly package was Rs. 320, after one month we got a sms from the co. that the connection has been disconnected within two days, after two days when the connection got recharged for Rs. 320 we got a message that Rs. 10 has been deducted from your balance . It wasn't understood by us that when Rs.10 has been deducted from the package , the balance of Rs. 310 will be treated as normal balance. As a result the connection got disconnected within 8-10 days after the recharge. Again we've made a recharge of Rs. 100, and at the end of the month again a recharge of Rs.100.
                    We went to the nearest Airtel Customer Care where they were unable to help, this is happening for the last 5 month, approx .amount of Rs. 450 was paid for the cable connection & I'm not able to watch the TV for the full month.
                    Now, my question is Did I asked them for giving the service of 2-3 days which is payable?
                    What is the funda of deducting the money from a prepaid account?
                    Who have informed the customer that the money is going to be deducted?
                    Whose responsibility is this to inform the new technology like Digital TV?
                    Now they are informing all the inner rules & systems, and asking for the set top box & antena which is my property only. No body bothers from the company when we're really in such a trouble, now they are sending several sms thru-out the day and calling several times for the minimum recharge of Rs.150, as we're not recharging our connection from december 2011.
                    I need the solution for the above matter, please do favour for us.

                    Air tel prepaid mobile number — deducting balance amount for subscribing chargeable service without informing

                    Dear Sir,

                    I have Airtel prepaid mobile connection for past 5 yrs (appx). My Number is +91 [protected]. For past one years balance amount is deducted for unwanted chargable service which I never activated.I have complaint various time to Air tel Call center but no solution is provided. Inspite of requesting to deactivate all chargable services from number, but have never deactivated and amount is frequently deducted from my balance prepaid amount. Recenetly a service is also activated where Rs 1/ is deducted continuisly 2 days for "saiBaba subscription service from airtel you have been changed Rs 1/".
                    Later i complaint to airtel then they said the same will be deactivated, but on next day Rs 5/ two times deducted again and msg recvd "You have been renewed fro SaiBaba subscricption service from air tel. You have been charged Rs 5. Get latest games at http://gclub.in/ea".

                    Please do needful as i have tied to request/complaint to Airtel.

                      Hello,
                      I just want to confirm what is customer service as per you all, is it torturing your customer as well the people who have been contacting your customer on the given personal airtel mobile number, OR is it understanding your customer's concern when sincerely been informed to your authorities about the delay in payment due a medical emergency faced by customer in their home town.

                      Now the reason why i mentioned all this is because i have been receiving calls from airtel corporate collections dept with regards to my payment due for the number [protected]. I never wanted to default in the payment but i had no other choice this month. I was held up in a family medical emergency which required me to give my full attention towards it. I had sent an email to the concerned dept informing about the delay as i am waiting for the funds in my account which will be done by 1st of April. Despite of informing this, executives from airtel corporate collections dept has been calling my friends to whom i used to converse from the above mentioned number and have been threatening them stating they will disconnect their numbers as well and later i started getting calls from your so called hired executives stating "you should have cleared your dues in bangalore and not in kerala, you don't have any better job in kerala" these kind of rude statements were made against me by the executive who failed to answer my question about his name. This is heights of torture speaking to a lady over the phone so rudely. YOUR CONNECTION MIGHT BE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD BUT YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY PATHETIC. It's not customer service ... its torture service, its harassment service. I have my sick mother with me who had to listen to all the talks your corporate collections executive gave me over the phone which has hurt her real bad in this ill state of hers.

                      I never said that i will never make the payment and abscond, i have only asked for more time to make the payment and this is what i as a customer get for asking and requesting sincerely. Kindly trace the call made by your executive on the 17th of March 2012 between 7:45pm and 8pm and Kindly inform who ever that Smart guy is to behave himself properly when speaking to a lady and not to harass people calling them at odd hours and speaking about the payments.

                      If you raise this concern about how many of your customers are being ill-treated, Harassed, Tortured, i'm sure you' find a huge number of people raising the same concern. All i am asking is time till 1st week of April for the payment.

                      Airtel/Mobile Services — Harassment for payment

                      Dear Sir,

                      I have taken 2 new connections from Airtel: [protected] & [protected] after surrendering my 4 year old connection [protected]. When i discontinued the old connection I myself called up 121, got the amount outstanding & paid the same.

                      Sometime after, outgoing from my new Airtel nos ([protected] & [protected]) were blocked saying that I have not cleared my dues on my surrendered connection. I ask for the last bill which I had not received as I had discontinued, but it was never given to me. I start getting payment reminder calls at least 4 times a day on both nos. Both my outgoings are blocked & Airtel holds me to ransom as I'm still on Airtel. So I put in a disconnection request for these two nos.

                      I get a call from the retention department, the person clarifies that I have no dues left & says that I shall receive an apology letter from Airtel within 7 days for harassing me for payment & requests me to retain the connections. I comply & retain the connections.

                      Recently, when I'm on roaming, outgoing is being blocked on my [protected], saying that Airtel does not have all my documents, whereas I have submitted all documents to ClassicJMD guys who came to give me the connection. Outgoing starts once after 3 days???

                      Secondly, now I receive a legal notice from Airtel, once again, asking for Rs. 405 for the discontinued connection [protected].

                      I believe, Airtel will continue to harass me in this fashion if I stay on Airtel services,hence, I want both my current connections to be discontinued, I don't want to use Airtel services.

                      i am swapnil somwanshi student of computer engineering using airtel friends prepaid services from last 3 years.The original plan for airtel friends was 10paise calling within 5 friends with daily reduction of 50 paise and 10 paise calling to other airtel numbers in happy hours(3-5pm and 10-8am)

                      but, now they have changed the existing plan for airtel friends plan and charging customer reduction of 1rupee per day.The existing plan should not be changed by the company.

                          * I don’t know why this kind of culture you have.
                          * From day one I am facing wrong communication from your people.
                          * I take connection from Airtel Relationship M/s Kundanlal Communications.

                          * He (Mr. Ashok) commit to me that Call Conference Changes need to pay only first month then after will never impose to me. But every month adding in my bill.

                          * Once I was register a complain for the same but nobody care of that.

                          * In first week of February 2011 I did request some changes in my connection at M/s Kundalnlal Communication(Airtel Franchises) from Mr. Sunil (Executive in Showroom).
                          * I request to change Rs. 125/- Per Month plan and stop or remove Call Conference and SMS Pack.
                          * But yesterday on 17th March 2011 I visit your same store and confirm me that both pack still active and its charges impose in my bill.
                          * I spoke to customer care on phone but he told me that no any request for the same.
                          * I spoke to Mr. Ashok (Sales Executive at M/s Kundanlal Communications) and another Girl Executive to resolve this issue then bluntly both replied that they can’t do in this because this is customer bill and payment issue and have to pay.
                          * I paid my outstanding Rs. 138 after reducing the SMS pack and Call Conference Charnges ( Rs. 98+90= Rs. 138) or Rs. 326-138= Rs. 138.

                          * I clear to M/s Kundanlal Communications that I will not pay any amount which is impose on my bill because of your fault. You please pay against your fault in my bill or do some provision for this dispute. From my side my bill is clear and I will not pay now against this bill.

                          * Very sorry to say which is true nobody in Airtel I saw customer friendly and always find their attitude just like any typical govt official.

                          * Now I decided to leave my airetel connection ([protected]).
                          * Kindly stop or disconnect my connection immediately after completing current month bill.
                          *Kindly adjust my remain adjustable security also in your bill and whatever amount will due that pay or deposit.

                            Dear Sir,

                            As you can find in trailing mail, I had Landline phone from Airtel [protected] booked on 12/01/2010 for the company I was working for.
                            As this company is shifted to another location in Goregaon, we had requested to shift the phone.
                            For 2-3 months phone was not shifted, and later communicated by Airtel that due to technical reasons it is not possible to give line in the new office.

                            We were charged for this 2-3 months, when phone Phone was physically disconnected. I had informed about same to Airtel Executive about the same(Mr. Rajendra Yadav).
                            Again in April 2011, I had received phone call claiming Airtel Lawyer, telling me we are serving notice for non-payment of bill.
                            Again I did the follow-up and communicated by mail to Airtel about the same and finally on May 11. 2011 I received a mail from Airtel saying that issue is resolved.

                            In between after 3rd May 2011, I had no communication mail or phone from Airtel.
                            Again yesterday I received a phone call in very rough language claiming Airtel Lawyer (From Number [protected]) saying I need to present in court. I was trying to explain him the situation, which he refuse to listen.

                            This is harassment, when the issue is closed, you have send the mail to me the same, why it is not cancelled from your records.

                              I am Sigamani from Kanchipuram, Tamil nadu (Airtel Broadband customer).

                              I do not have any late payment caused by me on my airtel broadband payment.

                              There were three occassions on which late payment fees were made, that is due to the problems caused Airtel themselves.
                              For these three occassions, I am not at all responsible.


                              On one occassion, the Airtel outlet (AVM Telecom) vacated their office from Kanchipuram.
                              I searched for where to pay the bill and finally the airtel official (Mr.Rajesh) from chennai came and collected the amount on 24-Aug-2011.

                              On the other occassion the bill is received on 16-Sep-2011, then I made the payment on 19-Sep-2011.
                              This month(Sep 2011) also no one came to collect the money.
                              Finally, Airtel mobile recharge seller told me to approach Kamatchi Amman Communication for broadband related service.
                              There, they accepted the payment and didn't give the bill.
                              They said they will pay the amount through online, so they said they wont give any bill.
                              But, they signed and put the seal on the airtel broadband statement and handed off to me.

                              After that, an airtel representative Mr.Balaraman comes to my home and collecting the amount.
                              During october 2011, he came late to collect the amount. It is not a mistake from my side.

                              If Airtel wants the payment before the due date, then open a airtel designated outlet where I can go and pay it directly.

                              For the issues like late collection of amount by Airtel agent, delayed bill sending and vacating the office without prior notification, I wont take any responsibility for paying late payment fee.

                              Herewith, I furnish the details of Payments I made from Jan-2011 to Mar-2012 for your reference.

                              If you look at the above details, till AVM Telecom office was in Kanchipuram, I went directly and made the payment promptly.
                              After AVM Telecom vacated the office, no one told me where to go and pay it.

                              On August 2011, AVM Telecom is vacated without any notice.
                              So, airtel representative Mr.Rajesh came and collected the amount. Its not my mistake.

                              On September 2011, the bill is received on 16-Sep-2011 only. There was no information on where to go to pay the amount.
                              I finally enquired and found Kamatchi Amman Communication to pay it, where they are not giving bill.

                              The Airtel collection agent came late on October 2011.
                              So, its also a mistake from Airtel side.

                              I am always willing to pay the bill before due date.
                              If you want payments to be made before due date, tell me where should I go and pay the bill, where they are ready to give me a signed copy of receipt/bill.
                              Please analyze the above details and revert the late payment charges (Rs.303), otherwise I dont have any other option than closing Airtel Broadband Connection.

                                airtel dth customer care people is troubling me alot
                                i am not getting chandana , udaya varthegalu kannada channels i complained them they told due to some satellite problems its happening and remedy is to change the direction of the receiver and they also told that its free of cost but after lodging complaint one fellow called me and he told that he will change the direction of receiver but i should pay him 200 Rs/-
                                Its not the matter of money but c care people is telling something this fellow is arguing some thing i am really get troubled from these people
                                that's why i am planning to lodge complaint against them. pls help me

                                  Sir, this is to apprise that Airtel Customer Care is not responsive despite several calls and they even charge for the same. I have tried calling many times but they have not responded but amount has been deducted. The amount that is being charged for Rs. 1 per local call despite per second billing.

I have faced too many problems, one of which is still not resolved. I call to CCE everyday and they just say 'complaint has been forwarded and will get resolve in 24hrs'. My problem is I had recharged for 38rs on 31st Dec 08 and the scheme is local calls airtel to airtel will be 40ps/min and other mobiles 1rs/min. Its being 12 dys I am getting charge for 1rs/min airtel to airtel. I have to call them everyday to ask for refund, I get refund amount but how long I will be getting charged for 1rs/min. I am now realy very fed up and I need to meet the higher athority.

                                  Please can anyone assist me regarding the above issue I would be very thankful.
                                  Hi my name is Abhishek, and i have two Airtel nos([protected]; [protected]) both registered under my name (Abhishek S Jadhav) or under my father's name (Suresh K Jadhav). Out of the two nos, the no [protected] is used by my father and it is a prepaid no. I am complaining because my father does not use the phone much but his balance is getting deducted for the incoming messages for some service named "CRICKET NEWS". My father or I never activated the service.
                                  I always do a recharge of Rs. 205 every month wherein i get the full talk time, but now a days that balance gets over within 2-3 days as i receive around 20 - 30 msgs from the same service every day. Fearing that i switched off my handset but the same thing happens once i switch the mobile on. I am using the other no ([protected]) and i am actually very happy with the services provided by Airtel as this no that i am using does not have any issues. Pls look into the matter at the earliest as i do not know how to switch off these premium services from the handset.
                                  Hoping you will do the needful at the earliest.
                                  i am getting charged for past 7 months for roaming, where as before leaving bangalore i confirmed with airtel associate and changed the plan to roaming and she confirmed me that i will not be charged incomming calls. this kind of service is so annoying. i need refund for the entire roming charges.
                                  would prefer to get a solution regarding my issue

                                    Dear, sir/madam subject to above airtel broadband often user first took 899 unlimeted plan used for 8months but iwas not able to pay as the bill i was getting around rs 1350,i requested for cancelation but they reinvited for a new plan ie, 649 plan with 20% discount,but still iam getting bill with rs 1030/- per month.iam fed up with airtel people i want to cancel airtel broadband connection immediatly.

                                    i was using airtel broadband connection & i had send a mail to airtel that plz cancel this connection on 17/06/2009 but they doesnt take any action & now they r saying that u will be charge upto 13/07/2009

                                      We refer to our letter dated 18th March, 2011, in which we had clearly mentioned that we are not using your Airtel PC Secure and are receiving Bill for the same.

                                      Last year we had paid the same for avoiding the disconnection of our internet connection, but again this year the same thing happened.

                                      We had already lodged complaint on 9/02/2012 Complaint No. 11432664 and on 16/02/2012 Complaint No.11686800 and again on 18/02/2012 No. 11863878 at your Malad Interface Customer Care Dept. , but nothing happened. We were been assured that we will be receiving revised bill for the same, but nothing happened and we received next bill with the same outstanding amount.

                                      We hereby enclose Deutsche Bank Cheque bearing No. 834047, dated 09/03/2012 for Rs.3,024/- payment for Bill No.[protected] and for Bill No.[protected] under protest to avoid disconnection.

                                      Kindly treat this at earliest and waive off your Airtel PC Secure amount, failing which we will be compelled to take legal action against you, which please note.

                                      airtel/internet connection — wrong billing

                                      I have been using airtel internet connection for last 5 years and my average bill comes to be Rs 500-750/-..but my bill of the cycle 26/09/2009 to 25/10/2009 has come Rs 2326/- .whereas my usage was normal..
                                      i spoke to the customer care and lodged a complaint and also mailed my concern to the zonal officer...but they are saying that i have used so much of internet...they have shown more uasage and frauded me with the wrong bill and they are compelling me to pay the wrong bill...
                                      i have encountered a lot of inconvenience and mental torcher and i have been cheated by AIRTEL..
                                      i request the consumer forum to intervene and stop the harrasment which i have been facing...
                                      I have using the DSL line from Airtel Broadband Services. We have paid 100% amount for 1st Six Months. Before renuation time, I personally went to Airtel HO at SG Hiway and kept the request for the plane migration to 899 / month. Then also they have generated the bill for renuation for further six month for the amount of approximate 7800.00 without any confirmations. They have already changed my plane to 899 / Month and disconnected my line saying that you have not paid the bill amount. I have personnay visited to the HO at S G Hiway for more then 7 time, every time she says that first your wait for the next amended bill from Airtel and make necessary payment. because at present I am disconnected from DSL and I am suffering a lot. I have to search for the other service provider and I have to take an action against Airtel. Please sagest me what action I should take against Airtel?
