I recharged my airtel number [protected] on 29/11/2012 by rs 200/-, Balance was 175/-. On 30/11/2012 my balance was nil, I called the customer care number talked 2-3 times, they never provided me any acceptable answers and after that no one attended my call. I recharged again on 01/12/2012 by 200 got 175 balance. This time, on 02/12/2012 morning, it again is showing around 2 rs balance. I've no services activated and no internet as my mobile does not support internet. I've all the sms that show my balance cut by various services (all came on 02/12/2012 morning) that I've never asked for. For the first time when it happened, I didnt thought of anything. But now as it is happening 2nd time, I definitely want to file a complaint in consumer forum court. I've decided to give 2 days time to remit my balance till 10am by 04/12/2012 after which I'LL have to go to consumer court. I've all the customer care calls recorded and service messages.

AirTel Mobile service people are the masters in playing mischief with their customers. I just click the ebill option @ prepaidweb.airtelworld.com and got message after that on my mobile that you will be charged Rs.50 for bill.. but they should mention this before click option at their website.. and after that i contact customer care executive on 25th march 2012 at 121 which is again trying to be highly smart by giving reasons that were not related to my query/issue and they disconnected my call... Now this way AIRTEL charge their customers for contacting customer care??? and when customer care people is acting like this than what else we expect from AIRTEL. My suggestion to AIRTEL is to stop making all those fools making advertisement on TV/RADIO or improve your services instead & stop looting customers like the way you charged me by unfair means. I forward this to TRAI and every web forum so that others may knw how AIRTEL play mischief and i decided to go for MNP.

        Can tolerate this anymore

The service of airtel digital tv is pathetic after making a payment and waiting for 3 days and even after my reminder for installation these people haven't even tried to call and ask for a schedule for installation. For payment to purchase the digi comp i was contacted every 15 minutes and was asked to make the payment through online even though i insisted on cash on delivery. Now that I've made the payment, they have not taken even a single step on contacting me for further assistance. Its clearly seen that they are only interested in money making and not on service.

In case of prepaid recharge voucher a consumer is credited talk time after deduction of processing fee and service charges. For example a customer pays .100/-for recharges, his account is credited for Rs. 88.66 deducting processing fee Rs2.00 and service Tax Rs9.34. Now if this consumer has a auto renewal facility for CLIP SERVICE which has a monthly rental of Rs.30/- per month including processing fee and service Tax, His talk time value is deducted by Rs.30/- directly. Thus he has to pay processing fee and service Tax service TWO TIME for a single service. This matter shall be looked into and direct the all the telecoms service providers to stop this Unfair Trade practice.

            Airtel — UNFAIR TRADE PRACTISH

            Dear
Sir, I am pijush kanti bera, a student of Institute of company secretary of India. My permanent address is Vill- Deuli, P.O.- Kalasbarh, P.S.-Sabong, Dist.- Paschim Medinipur. PIN-721467.

My brother-in-law susanta kumar paul has bought a mobile with a lifetime connection from AIRTEL. He has a caller tune & wants to deactivate it. Today, Sunday, August 17, 2008 he came to my house for deactivation, in that time It was unknown to me the number of customer care executive, or canceling process.

I think that, when it activated then a massage must come to his mobile, and I open the inbox. I found that it was activated on 8th august, 2008. So I fell that I will cancel it on or after 1st September. (Because it remains for one month with the same cost)

I am seeing a massage send from 543211 on 8th august, 2008 which has written as under—
“Dear customer, congratulation, your hello tunes has been activated. Call 543213 to listen to full songs (toll free, subscription Rs 30/mon).”

By chance I dial the number 543211 because it comes from the number and I was reading by scrolling the page, also the two numbers was confusing.

Without any response it ended automatically and deduct the Rs 3/. Still I had no complain. It was my mistake that I call wrong number.

Then I call 543212 to listen full song which is the caller tune / hello tune of the mobile. (According to the massage)

It instructs me to press 1. When I press 1 it stopped and no answer then I press the red button and come to the main menu. With in some moment we receive a massage

“ We allotted you to listen music for 10 minutes or dedicate your friends with the cost of Rs 10/” (this is may be not actual words) we do not listen the music or do not dedicate the music to friends, we just delete the massage and see that the balance is o.k. After sometimes we found that, it already cut the Rs 10/. Lastly we found that it was a on demand service, it takes money by writing toll free.

According to sec 34A(3) of MRTP ACT this is an unfair trade practice.
According sec 34B(a) any individual customer (susanta kumar paul) can filed a complain. I pijush kanti bera doing the whole action so I am the witness.

We apply to you, please inquire about this matter. According to sec 48C we demand Rs 10, 00, 000/ fine in cheating of Rs 10/.
            That is all your honor.

Every contact will be at [protected] (p. bera.)

Air Tel/ Post paid connection — Unfair Trade Practice

My mobile no. is [protected]. I stay at Mumbai, and one of the premium customers for the last 3 years.
Today I was given a shock when I had made an STD call to one of my relatives no. [protected], who has a hello tune of 'Lafzon main', and after disconnecting the phone call I received a message from Airtel no.6787 that "You have been charged Rs. 20 Your callers will now hear 'Lafzon Mein ' as your Hello Tune. Call 543213 toll free and listen to full songs at Rs. 30/mon" .
Immediately after receiving the above message I called the customer care no. 121 and enquired for the same.I was amazed when I was told that while I had dialled my relatives no. I had pressed star button of my handset, and this is the reason why this hello tune was activated. But I had not dialled even once any star button. But the executive was not willing to listen to me and asked me to go for a detailed procedure to deactivate the above tune. I argued as to why should I take such a pain if I had not asked for any such activation, neither had i SMSed nor had called for the same. After this argument he immediately disconnected the phone.
            The call reference no. is[protected].
This is a clear cut Unfair Trade Practice followed by Airtel, and a case of harrasment.I am just the one person who is complaining and I dont know how many customers have been fooled by Airtel.
I need your attention for the same and would request you to take immediate action against them.

            AirTel — unfair trade practice

I had taken two airtel postpaid simcards from airtel executives that had come to our house for promotional offer wherein i was promised an assured gift thru a scratch card which were supposed to be sent via courier. Its more than two months and various emails and customer care calls to airtel, i have not received any positive feedback from them. nobody, the customer care nor the airtel gallery people have a single clue about it although i have their official receipt mentioning about the offer. airtel has been dillydallying everytime i contact them . It seems they dont intend to provide the free assured gift which is my right. the funny thing is, today i got a call from them telling me to contact the executive personally who had come to my house ! this is a classic case of 'unfair trade practice' by airtel. Any suggestions for further course of action are welcome. thanks.
Hi, any mails for the above complaint can be sent here. thanks!

            AirTel — UNFAIR PRACTICE

This is pertaining to IPTV Service of Airtel.
            1) I was promised that there is no relocation charges and IPTV is available in Indirapuram area. Now when I shifted here, after 21 days of research Airtel informs me that the same is not available as their cable is choked. In this case why they should not be refunding my Rs 4000 + service tax charged for the same.
            2) I even requested them to install DTH in lieu of this but they say, their policy does not permit and it is an outsourced service.
            3) Their call center executives are not well educated and are not well informed also. Different executives say different things on the same issue. They drop the call. They misbehave.
            4) The Phone nos of appelate and nodar.ncr is always busy and if you are lucky to get them, you would be put on hold for more than 10 minutes to frustate you so that you only drop the call. If you are well determined, they would say your email is not available. I experience the same with one Mrs Harpreet or something sitting at Appelate.
            5) When the model of communication in nodal ncr or appelate is email then why their resolution does not come in writing. I requested for written reply for one Mr Khanna of Appelate, he declined to provide me the same.
They have become horrifying with their growth and some one needs to look in to it. One of my friend even tried to approach Mr Mittal to update on the issue but it seems he too is busy and his email id is not available.
            Hemant.

              Dear Sir/Madam,

While taking a new Broad Band connection from Air Tel I was promised that a PC Secure facility(Anti Virus) comes free with the new Telephone- cum- Broad Band Connection.

To my surprise I was charged for the same.

A complaint was lodged through Telephone with the Air Tel Support Team to Discontinue the Service. Which was promised within 24 hrs but not done.

Again at the end of billing period I got the bill for the PC Secure.

This time, on 29 Feb 12, to be precise I started forwarding written complaint but their response had been wishy-washy.

I had requested them to confirm the following:
              (a) Was any phone complaint was lodged on this issue in the past to discontinue the PC Secure.
              (b) Confirm the PC Secure was discontinued from 01 Mar 2012 as promised on the written complaint lodged on 29 Feb 12.
              (c) I will not be charged any money since the discontinuation of service for which a written request was made on 29 of Feb 2012.
              (d) Why it is being renewed again and again when I do not need the service as I have my own Antivirus installed on my computer.

There is no clear cut response on the issue, though matter has reached to Nodal Officer Air Tel.

              Regards

              Airtel Broadband — non-deactivation

I have lodged a complaint with the airtel for deactivation of my broadband connection and it is a week now. But alas!, as I was already warned by my wellwishers, these people are NOT deactivating/finalising the bill for the reasons best known to them. Every time they are coming up with some silly advices like why shouldn't i give it to somebody else or why dont i get it transferred to my new place, etc. It seems that they are somehow trying to timepass and cross the monthly billing cycle date so that I can be loaded with a fresh bill. Greedy, aren't they?????. Huh,!!!!!! but poor tricks..... It's really a shame.

I took unlimited data plan from airtel. 699 for 2 gb . after which I will be charged 2p/100kb . After using 3.435 gb (Rs.1000) , it will become unlimited and speed will drop around 200kbps-1.1mbps. But I am getting no more than 20 kbps even after using it just for 2 days. Even after calling customer care 5 times and making a round of airtel shop in city center , salt lake , the problem still persists.
Something like this happened to me before with mts cdma connection . I was lied about the speed .
But this time I thought its AIRTEL , so I was confident.
Nevertheless, let down by such a huge company. May hell break loose on you guys.
I saw on my airtel that my charges till now is rs. 3200. How is it possible for an unlimited connection?

I am using Airtel prepaid connection since last few years. My mobile number is [protected]. But with the kind of services Airtel is providing these days,I doubt their(Airtel) interest in retaining customers.I don't understand a bit that why AIRTEL always deducts my balance without my consent.Recently, I had a balance of around 100 Rs or so and daily some amount is deducted. Finally, the balance has come down to rs 3. And this is not a one time incident. This has happened lot of times. Now i don't even feel like recharging my mobile, afterall what's the point, you guys are masters of deducting the amount. When I called the customer care guy today, they say that some "INDIA Tweets News pack" was activated.I don't understand who in this world asked you to activate this. The Complaint number the customer care guy gave me is COVWC[protected] (Dated 24th March 2012). We have called customer care guys zillion number of times, but for no use.

Now let me come to one more interesting part, just a proof that i am not exaggerating .As i mentioned earlier, this has happened many times. I have complained about this to even nodal officer of kerala. I dropped him a mail and told about automatic deduction. The mail was dropped on 19th june 2010 .Reference number was [protected] and complaint number was[protected].And it was told to me that it wont happen again. But this has been happening EVER SINCE then and REGULARLY till date. That time i thought it was one off incident, but this time i am not taking it lightly.I NEED MY MONEY BACK ASAP,and also be assured that such deductions don't happen in future.

                          thanks,

Airtel Prepaid Connection — Unauthorized deductions

I have an Airtel Prepaid Connection which I took long back. I have been experiencing the problems o[censored]nauthorized deductions from Airtel. Every now and then some value added services have been getting activiated on their own and getting the charges deducted from the balance amount. I am totally fed up with such problems and even after giving instructions several times that I do not need any value added services, still some or the other schemes are getting activated. I definitely feel that it is the modus operandi of airtel to deduct amounts from its prepaid customers as there must be thousands of customers like me from whom such charges have been deducted. Another interesting area I have found is that airtel has even stopped toll free services for takling complaints and each call to the customer care dept is being charged. Another way of making money ?

I would like to know the following :

                          1) How such things can be stopped and what is the way out as the complaints to airtel is not getting any relief.
                          2) Tried many times to get in touch with the team leaders of airtel customer care, however could not do so as the people at the call centre just put the line on hold and after some time getting disconnected.
                          3) As to when the number portability will come to effective as I am seriously thinking to switch over to some other mobile service provider.

Airtel users who are experiencing such problems may please give comments.

                          Regards,
                          An Airtel User
Pl. ask the airtel to stop with immeadiate effect not to deduct money towards sms for live cricket scores and film news etc on my mobile no: [protected]. These deductions are unauthorized.

                          AirTel — Unauthorized Deductions

Don't click any of the ads in phone apps, Airtel will deduct 99 rp within 2 seconds and say thank you for downloading hungama games. I'm not sure if the fault lies with the app maker, but airtel deducting money without the subscriber confirming the purchase or even informing the subscriber that there is a cost, is highly unprofessional, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Thanks Ranga. I got a call from Airtel Customer Care representative yesterday morning. I asked him about the amount refund and he told me that "Technical Service Team" will look into it and will update me in 24 hours. But it's more than 24 hours now, and I have not received any update on the amount refund. I am looking forward for you quick response.

In the space of last nine months, on my wife's Airtel mobile number[protected], there has been three instances o[censored]nauthroized deductions. I took up with Airtel. on 21st Feb. 2012. I want to move to another network. But till date it
was not done. I continuesly following up with Airtel Customer care but
they are not responding. They rejected my request saying that there is

I have requested porting of my Airtel Prepaid number [protected] by sending PORT [protected] to 1900 at around 1 AM, January 20. I haven't received my UPC yet. I checked with your customer care executive, and he replied that it will be sent soon. But till now it has not been received. Please follow up and send me my UPC soon.
Please note that I have logged this complaint at around 9:15 AM IST on January 20
Got it now after sending SMS again, still it should have been sent after first SMS itself, I spent additional 1.50 Rs - 1 Re for SMS and 50 Ps for speaking to your executive. consider this complaint as closed

I have opted for mobile number portability for my cell no
                            [protected]
I had generated the port code on 20.1.11 around 8 am
My form is rejected by Airtel on the ground that the required port code is needed to be generated after 5pm on 20.1.11
I applied for MNP on 20.01.2011 and received UPC code on same day but till 01/2/11 they did not completed the formalities from AIRTEL without any reason. After discussion till nodal officer there is no solution from any body.

                            AirTel — Number Portability

I am an old consumer of Airtel, now I want to change the service provider with the help of number portability.I send the request to 1900 and get the UP ID (AA162498) code ,and submit the documents to another service provider BSNL.After few days I got a sms "Your port In request for Mobile Number [protected] has been rejected by your service provider due to legal reasons". Later I contact to Airtel customer care they people says we don't have any rights to stop you to move another network provider.BSNL people says the old service provides not permitted to leave you. Now my UP ID was expired, again I send a request to 1900 to get a new UP ID but still i didn't get.
                            Hi,

Please do not worry... kindly wait.

'Airtel Presence' will soon come and 'Paste' a ready made answer here.
I am umesh singh. I am using airtel connection of no. [protected] since from last five year. I want to port my existing number to uninor for that I had submitted the mobile no portability form and purchase the new uninor sim card. On the 5 Feb 11 ( Saturday) at near about 8:30 Am i received the call from the airtel and the conversation between him and me is below:

CCE: sir may i know the reason why you want to switch your number?
ME: i don't think that i need to explain you as i am not alone to port my number, you had lost lot of your customer.

CCE: on which network you are porting your number?
                            Me: to Uninor.

CCE: why sir? they have the high call rate as compare to our network.
ME: but they don't deduct the balance as you are deducting even when i don't use the service.

CCE: sir i will stop all the service message and the caller tune (i think only airtel have the modern network that can activate the caller tune itself) on your number then no balance will be deducted?
Me: but i had already purchase a sim card of the uninor.

CCE: thats not the big issue i will resolve that.
                            Me: How?

CCE: i will refund the Rs 50 on your number and that is the price of the sim card.
Me: but what about the other things because of that i loosing my balance every day?

CCE: i will activate Don't disturb service on your number than don't receive any promotional message.
Me: ok but what is the guarantee that in future i will not face this kind of problem. it should not like that just after 15 days the problem will start again.

CCE: sir don't worry about that it will never come in between beside that i will also offer you the special call rate i.e. 1p/2Sec.
                            ME: for local or STD?

CCE: for both, local as well as STD.
ME; and what is validity of that, for one month?

CCE: no sir its the life time. for the lifetime u will get 1p/2SEC for the local and also for the STD.
Me: ok. tell me the final thing what i will get if i stay to your network?

CCE:sir i will refund the Rs 50 and beside that you will get the call rate of the 1P/2Sec for the local and the STD.
Me: ok for that what i have to do?

CCE: for that you send the message to CPR [protected] to 51619.
ME: than how much time it will take to activate all this?

                            CCE: just 48 hr.
                            Me: 48 working hr or.........

CCE: from the time you send the message, the 48 hr is calculate on that.
Me: ok than i will do that.

then at near about 11:00 Am i sent the message CPR [protected] to 51619 in reply of that i receive the message from the airtel for thanking me stay at the largest network provider.

till now the above things are not activated so in regarding this i talked to their customer care executive on Monday 7 Feb 11 and i was completely shock when he gave me the reply that the offer told to me was over on the 6 Feb 2011. then he said to me that i will give your number to our senior and we will back to you in the next 24 hr.

NOW my kind request to airtel is that at least proceed my request of the number portability so that i can change my no. i am cheated by this airtel and always i am loosing hear.......
i think i had committed biggest mistake by choosing airtel.

                            Hi,

I have applied for MOBILE NUMBER PORTIBILY from IDEA to AIRTEL (MOBILE NO: [protected]) on 21/01/2011 and i was told that it would be done within 7 days as per TRAI RULES AND REGULATIONS. Today is 10/02/2011 and my no. is not yet completely transferred to AIRTEL. Outgoing calls are active but incoming calls are inactive. I have called to the MNP HELPLINE NO. = [protected] but there were not able to provide me clear instructions and i was told that my ID's has been rejected from IDEA. I went to IDEA CUSTOMER HUB as well but they said that there is no rejection from there side. Everytime, i called in AIRTEL MNP HELPLINE NO. = [protected], i was told that i will get a call within 24 hrs or 48 hrs, but i have nver received any call from them yet.

I also went to your AIRTEL CUSTOMER HUB at ALKAPURI, BARODA several times and there the manager HARDIK told me that there is some technical problem instead CUSTOMER CARE kept saying that my ID is rejected from IDEA. HARDIK was not helpful. He said all this without even checking my account. 3- 4 days before, i visited your AIRTEL CUSTOMER HUB at ALKAPURI, BARODA regarding same problem and the associate SWATI took my issue. She said that i would need to resubmit my documents again as the UNIQUE PORTIBILTY NUMBER which i generated before was facing some technical issue. I submitted the documents again and i was told that the incoming calls will get activated within 2-3 days. But the service is not yet activated on my phone. My IDEA COMMECTION (with same no. = [protected]) is also active. I can make and receive calls from my same IDEA NUMBER. I want you to please take proper action on it and get my issue resolved within 24 hrs.

This is the last time, i am requesting you to take action on it and if my problem persists, I am ready to file a complaint with the CONSUMER FORUM as I am protected under the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT of 1986.

The consumer complaint will be at your cost and expenses, and I will seek compensation for the mental agony caused due to the deficiency in your services.

Bharti Airtel Limited — Mobile Number Portability

I am using Airtel No. [protected] as corporate connection under Post-Paid Scheme. DVC issued letter to Airtel as per terms of contract to seggregate my number from the CUG scheme with immediate effect and accede to my request of porting vide UPC No. AK531768.The said letter bears the number EDCON/CO8OMN/Mobile/829, Dated 02-Feb-2011. In pursuasion to the advice of DVC to Airtel for exiting my mobile number from the CUG Plan of Airtel and request to Airtel for accedeing to my request for porting, vide above UPC No.AK531768, I wrote mails after mails but never received any concrete reply. However, they called giving me misleading informations like they have nothing to do except the new Service Provider who will do every thing. Then on 8-feb-11 I received a call that due to my outstanding balance of 0.78p the porting can not be done. When I approached Airtel that this was their regular practice to adjust the balance paise with next bill, they agreed 0.78p as not an issue and said they have not rejected the request on this ground.
Airtel did not tell any thing about my request for porting out the number but always gave vague and irrelevant reply. On 09-Feb-2011, after I got SMS from 1901 ,I could know that my request for porting has been rejected by Airtel on grounds of outstanding payment. This was not true because all the payment against the raised bill was cleared by me on 07-Feb-2011.
When bI contested over phone, bAirtel said that I need to make the payment o[censored]nbilled amount too otherwise my request for portiing can no8t be acceded to. Without going into any dispute regarding the payment o[censored]nbilled amount, I made extra advance payment on 09-feb-2011 itself to cover the unbilled amount. but I still found that their server was showing outstandiing. When I asked them to clarify, they said adjustments will be done only after the bills are generated.
As on 09-Feb-2011 my outstanding( billed+unbilled) was NIL and I brought this fact to their knowledge and requested for expediting the process of expediting.
I had also communicated with new Service Provider (BSNL) regading these developments. I was assured from BSNL that they will activate the new SIM within 3/4 days as the issue of outstanding has been cleared to the satisfaction of Airtel.
Airtel too agreed over phone, that there was no more any issue regarding outstanding and then over phone they started asking why I was going to leave.
Though this was my personal choice,I stated the facts. This being the corporate connection concerned officials of DVC were in regular touch with Airtel. Airtel seemed reluctant and though never said 'no', they secretly rejected the porting request on ground of outstanding (which was not trueb) which I could know only through the SMS from 1901.
When it was proved to Airtel with documents that there was absolutely no outstanding on 09-Feb-2011 and even today (11-Feb-2011b), it was my apprhension that they will harrass me by rejecting on some other ground and to my surprize, within just 2 days of gap when it was proved that all the payments including unbilled amount are clear, it was very surprizing to receive another message from 1901 (BSbNbL) of rejection by Airtel on LEGAL ground.
So even after constantly pursuing Airtel, they always kept me in dark and never gave appropriate reply to any of my a good numbers of mails. Even till now Aiirtel has not intimated anything to me about porting .It's only from the msg I received at 5b:50 pm today (11-Feb-2011) from 1901, I could know Airtel has cited LEGAL as the reason of rejection. I do not know what's legal about the porting when DVC has already instructed AIRTEL to seggregate my number [protected] from the CUG PLAN on 02-feb-2011 (exit from bundled scheme) as per the arrangement of seggregation with Airtel and I am just pursuing the matter as the benficiary.
I feel very much harrassed and have kept records of all the communication made with Airtel. The concerned official of DVC also have been requesting the concerned officials but their dillydallying attitude has crossed all the limits and generating a feeling of hatred amongst the users of Airtel who are being harrassed like me. How can one private organization indulge in such unfair means for harrassing but can they hold on customer by this harrasment to customersb? It is there fore requested that the needful be done by Airtel immediately without fabricating such reasons whichh are absolutely not true.
the same thin happen to me. my no. is [protected]. porting id is AX572387
                            Dear sir/madam,
i am a airtel customer since 2003. now i want to change my mobile number to other networks. i did complained customer care 09-feb-2011 at evening. " They told me, you're not eligible customer for mobile number portability. Because, You aren't cross 90 days.so, we can't change mobile number portability to your number".but, i used this number from 2003. So, why i can't my phone number to other networks.

                            my name: R.M.MOHAMED GHANI.
                            my phone number : [protected].

please, kindly inform to me, what i did to change my number.
I have asked for Porting my number [protected] for porting to Tata Docomo network due to major network issue. We have 7 airtel connection at home and we have been complaining to Airtel on the network issue for over 2 year now. With the number portability I thought my problem will be solved. After all the formalities Airtel comes back and tell me the number cannot be ported because its a corporate account in my company name. They are out to trouble the customers...
                            Respected Sir/Ma'm

I am Nishant Potdar, customer of Airtel and my mobile no. is [protected]. Due to cheap performance of Airtel I wanted to port out to Idea Cellular. For that I have been completed all the formalities on 21st January, 2011 at Idea Cellular Gallery, Bhandup (W)Mumbai78. Till date my sim card is not port in into Idea, After taking lots of followup form Idea and from Airtel I came to know that this is technical issue from Airtel.

before 1 week Airtel guy mail me to resubmit all the required documents at gallery and I've done the same. now there are telling me to again visit to Idea gallery for Port IN procedure. I'm ready fed up with airtel.

Please resolve my issue at the earliest. Here I am also attaching all conversation held with Airtel for your kind consideration. Please go through it.

                            Thanks,
                            Nishant Potdar

I already filled the form for Port in into Idea and paid Rs.19/- to obtain new sim card from Idea cellular on 21-01-11, then let me know why should I pay once again to new service provider when I already done the same procedure before. This issue is from your side, so whatever expenses will occur you'll have to bear.

We understand from your previous interaction regarding the unable to port out to idea for your airtel mobile number [protected].

We completely understand your concern and sincerely apologize for any difficulty caused to you.

At airtel, we value our customers and regret their concerns. However, we assure you that, we shall take all necessary actions to ensure that the same is not repeated.

We regret to inform you that the UPC code has been expired since you have send the request on 21-01-11.

Hence, we request you to once again send the MNP request to initiate further action in porting out.

For your reference, the MNP procedure is mentioned below:

¿ Generate Unique Porting code (UPC) by Sending PORT < Space> and your <Mobile no> and send it to 1900. E.g. PORT 9810XXXXXX. Charges of SMS are applicable as per tariff plan opted by you. You will receive an auto revert message from 1901 giving an 8 digit alpha numeric unique porting code along with an expiry date.

¿ Once UPC obtained, you have to approach the new service provider of your choice and obtain CAF (Customer Application Form) and porting form.

¿ Submit the duly filled CAF and porting form along with requisite documents (Photo Id Proof, Residence proof, 2 photos, last bill copy in case of postpaid number and Pan card / form 60 ) to the chosen service provider.

¿ Rs.19 fees (As defined by TRAI) need to be paid while submitting documents.

¿ Please note the above exercise is to be completed before the expiry date of mentioned along with the UPC.

¿ Obtain new SIM card from the new service provider.

¿ New service provider will take 7 days to process your Port-In request. (Sunday is non working day). During this process, you will be able to use your mobile phone as usual.

¿ New service provider will keep updating you via SMS on the progress made and intimate the date and time of porting on your mobile phone. Replace the old SIM with the new SIM provided after the specified date and time. There will be a black out for only 2 hours and the same will be communicated to you through SMS.

We further like to inform you that once you have chosen to move -out you all current benefits of rate plan applicable on your number will be withdrawn. Since SIM Card will be changed, you will be required to move contacts to new SIM card. Also after port out in case you wish to come back then as per process you cannot shift the operator before 90 Days.

Please note that customer can withdraw the porting request within 24 hours of applying. Airtel as an organization believes in providing customer satisfaction. We earnestly hope that you will reconsider your decision and provide us with an opportunity to serve you again.

                            Dear Sir / Madam,

This is Eric James A from Bangalore.

                            I am an existing AIRTEL customer " +[protected] ".
My Complaint is that i want to switch over to TATA DOCOMO.
I had received a message on[protected] stating " Your Unique Porting ID is AX213549 and the expiry date is[protected] ".

My request was successfully registered on the same day.

After two days that is 18-02-11, I had received a message from TA-1901 stating that "your port in request for mobile number +[protected] has been REJECTED by your service provider due to LEGAL REASONS.

I have contacted the customer care (121) representatives (had to wait a lot to speak to an executive directly) to find out what the legal reason is and they that we are forwarding your call to our senior executive and then the call gets disconnected.

I even called up Tata Docomo customer care ([protected]), where i was informed by them that they were happy for having chosen Docomo and said that Airtel had rejected my application.

Well i did get a call from airtel customer care[protected] on[protected] at 10:30 am. i did tell them that i'm no more interested in airtel (due to a number of reasons) & have decided to switch over to docomo.

I have even raised a complaint (CMBNR[protected] on[protected] at 09:10 pm)regarding the same to airtel.

Now i have a few doubts,

Firstly will this transfer happen ? if not, then will my number be still active?

i do not mind getting a new simcard, but i would be happy if i can retain the same number.

Please resolve my problem as soon as possible.

                            Awaiting Your Reply.
                            Regards,

                            Eric James A

Bharti Airtel / Mobile Service — Mobile Number Portability Code Not Issued

My Mobile number is [protected](Pre Paid), I am using this number from last 5 year approx, from November 2010 I ma trying to change my services from pre paid to post paid but I refuse three times from Airtel Outlet at Laxmi Nagar by saying that we are not able to do that because of customer identification process is going on.
Now I am trying to get portability code, I have been send around 52 messages and 8 e-mails regarding generating the portability code but none code have been issed to me.
I interact with thier Customer care on 198 on 27th January and brief my above
said problem, and Mr. Vinod form Airtel said that it is an Technical problem
and this will resolve by next day at 4:30 pm (Request Ref.
                            No:-CUNRM[protected]) , none of a solution I found.
On 31st January 2010 I again talk to Ms.Sakshi and she is not able to answer
my quarries so she transferred my call to Ms.Harinder and she again promised
me that after 72 hrs you will get the Portability Code (Request Ref.
                            No:-CUNRM[protected]).
Mr.Salim Hasmi (Appelate Officer) called me and brief me about thier technical problem and assured me that problem will rectified by 17th Feb 2011 but problem is still pending.

Airtel Mobile — Porting out of my number

I have been trying to port my mobile number for the last 14 days.
I requested for porting out of my mobile number[protected] last Saturday, 12
Feb 2011. Since then I have not received any follow up or confirmation calls.
Below is a summary of my calls to customer care numbers

                            1. Saturday, 19 Feb 9am - I was told that Airtel does not have any records of
my requesting for porting out. On contacting the target operator, I was told
that Airtel processing was holding up the documents for further processing.

                            2. Saturday 19 Feb 3pm - I was told repeatedly that my request was in progress
and that my number would be disconnected the same night. No action was taken.

                            3. Sunday 20 Feb 9am - I was told that my request was in progress and would be
disconnected. No date for switching off was given. The operator also told me to
retain my number. This is after I informed her of all the trouble that Airtel
customer care had put me through for a week.

                            4. Sunday 20 Feb 10pm - I was told that the request takes 7 "business days". I
believe it was 7 business days since the request was placed (also, why wasn't I
told this on my previous calls?). I was informed that porting would happen on
                            Tuesday 22 Feb.

What on earth is happening here? Today I received a call saying that Airtel has some technical difficulties!! I believe Airtel should be sued since they are clearly violating Government rules that state that once the porting request has been placed, it has to be complied with within 7 days.

Can someone help me out with the next higher authority I should complain to?
                            Dear All,

My self Swapneel, I am resident of Mumbai.
I am using airtel’s 2 postpaid connections under CUG Scheme ([protected] ). Calling from any of the number to another was free as per the CUG scheme and I used my connections under the said plans around a year’s time. I have paid somewhere around 10,000 for bill of both the connections in a year’s time.

                            My plans is as below
1st Number: 99 per month rental + 70 rs pack (30 ps airtel to airtel + other calls 50 ps)

2nd number: 199 add on plan (only intra calling free for 1st number & cal rates is 50 ps for all local calls)

I am only paying rentals of 300 rs which is much more higher in today’s condition

I had lodged a complaint regarding unsuitable bill plans to airtel’s customer care many a times, but to no solution I received till date
                            .
I also went to airtel relationship center for best plans; they are unable to understand my requirement & fail to provide me any best plans. Each & every time only customer care executives promises false commitments & force to to retain connection with AIRTEL.

After Number portability comes I have immediately applied for portability ina Feb month 18 feb 2011 & I have received MNP code. I have applied for MTNL’s prepaid connections. I have submitted customer application form & PORTING form along with my photo and residence proof.

I am interested to purchase below plan of MTNL prepaid.

" SIM 10 with First Recharge Coupon 62-Sakhi Plan"

                            Key Features :

                            * Unlimited Call to two Dolphin/Trump mobiles
                            * Host of freebies
                            * Attractive Call and Data Charges
                            * Free 3G activation
                            * Life Time validity

Suddenly after 3-4 days I have started receiving calls from Airtel’s telesales regarding the porting of my postpaid numbers. I have explained them my concern about the bill plans & poor customer care team’s issue.

Airtel rejecting my porting reason without any justifying reason.

I have suffered a lot despite my sincerity in paying the bill on time. My genuine request has for porting the airtel postpaid connections to MTNL had been turned down without any justifiable reason.

Requesting all to intervene in this case & help me.

                            Regards.

I had tata indicom connection. I wanted to change it to airtel through MNP scheme and for same i applied on 2nd of Feb 2011. I was issued new airtel sim and told that within 4-5 days airtel service will be started. But it didn't happen and moreover my tata indicom service also was stopped. I contacted that there is technical problem in new sim and after updation of name new sim will be issued. And that took 1 month and after one month new duplicate sim was issued (charged rs. 50 for that). Was it my fault that there was technical problem in sim. I was without any mobile service for one month.

And moreover when i went to Airtel office at Phase 3 B2 Mohali for getting duplicate sim, they were behaving like they are oblising me.

i don't have any hope that anything willl be done with my complaint. But pray god that something better happen this time. so kindly look in to matter

My mobile number [protected]. i have applied for mobile portability. i want to change to loop n i submited code as well as all the papers, identity proof etc. it was said that after 8 days it will get into loop but now its 16 days but still airtel are not cancelliing my card. i m sure its problem created by airtel bcos without their cancelation loop cannot provide their service. this is not for the 1st time airtel creating problem for me. there r many deductions from my balance, no proper network, high cost, etc r the reason of my protability. pls take the action soonn or else it can affect ur goodwill. pls do it as soon as possible. i have went even to airtel gallery n also called customercare they r cutting to calls n blaming loop service. but i m sure the problem is created by airtel many of people said that airtel is not allowing them to cancel their service. airtel goodwill is already going down. pls solve the problem as soon as possible.

Because I want 3G and also because of network problems with Airtel, I wanted to port out to Idea with my same numbers.

I requested 3 times with the procedure of port out, but every time, Airtel rejected it because of some or the other reason.

First time, they said "because the numbers are in CUG, it can't be port-out"

Then, I went to the Airtel office (Paldi, Ahmedabad) and talked to Mr. Sameer. He asked me to fill two forms and sign them. Then he assured me that now there would be no problem in porting out.

After this, I sent the port out request 2 times and still the customer care people are telling that my numbers are still under CUG and cant be ported out of Airtel.

Also, after I filled that form to shift my CUG plan, they have automatically closed my GPRS plan (99rs. for 2GB) and they have charged around Rs.2550 for data usage... if they are changing my GPRS plan, they should inform me atleast by sms... so that i can stop using the internet on it!

Every time I call their customer care 121, they are giving totally different answers... please get me a resolution!
I contacted 121 customer service... and they are telling there is no resolution available.

Please dont post such irresponsible messages Mr. Rakesh
AIRTEL is a total gunda when it comes to serving customers.

I had 4 connections where I requested MNP and they keep rejecting requests on all the numbers on one pretext or the other since last 4-5 months. I am so fed up with them now that I have decided to take new connections rather than live with them just to save my number. I believe that whoever really needs to talk to me will find me some way or the other.

WILL NEVER TAKE ANY NEW AIRTEL CONNECTION EVER.
My mobile number is [protected] , I want to swift to Vodafone.
I have sent several messages to 1900 with PORT [protected] and have got no response other than calls asking for why you are shifting from airtel, we provide such good service. HUH ?
Please help me out, or else I will have to go to consumer court regarding the same. This is really disgusting!

                            yes, thanks
Thanks sir, My sim card is working.
I have requested to portout from AIRTEL, but they are not following TRAI rules. For retaining they are simply cancelling request with out informing to the customer.

I would like to have necessary action on AIRTEL people.

They simply charging more money and there are lot of hidden charges in AIRTEL.

                            AirTel — MNP Portability

                            Airtel rejecting my MNP application
I am using airtel no [protected] (AP) for the last 5 yrs . And i want to change my mobile operator Through mobile number portability from airtel to BSNL.
And i went to BSNL show room and i submit my id proof and porting charges.

But i receive a message from BSNL that Airtel mobile operator reject your porting . Because of Leagal reasons. Actually in my case there is no Leagal obligation with Airtel because mine was an individual normal prepaid connection. they are simply delaying my complaint . Actually MNP is a customer right. but here airtel is denying that right for me.
I am really going through hell with airtel with whom I had requested to port in from Idea. Both my mobile connections are out of service and both my mobile numbers do not exist. Even after being corporate mobile connection, nobody is bothered to get the problem rectified. I have been constantly calling and following up airtel. Gradually the resolution time is increasing from hours to days. The problem reference number I have been given is 39013748. Everytime I have felt that even supervisors be it Gagan, Nitish or Puneet kumar at their helpdesk are not even bothered with the customer grievance. Irony is that you cannot even go back to your previous mobile operator as you have to serve a company for atleast 90 days. No rule has been made for these mobile operators if they fail to do MNP on time. Its only me who is suffering the overall loss.
                            Useless operator
                            Hi,

Even after repeatedly writing to Nodal officer, as no one heard my complaint at Airtel helpdesk, I am not even getting any reply from the Nodal officer on this issue.
According to TRAI (at their web site)

                            Abstract below
                            CHAPTER 3 Abstract

                            7. Redressal of Consumer Grievances by Nodal Officers.------ In case a consumer is not satisfied with the redressal of his grievance by the Call Centre, such consumer may approach, by a letter in writing, or through telephone, or web based online filing of complaints or through short message service or through other electronic means and any other means, the Nodal Officer of the service provider for redressal of his grievance:
Provided that a consumer may, in emergent situation, approach at the first instance a Nodal Officer instead of a Call Centre and the Nodal Officer shall redress the grievance.
                            9. Time limit for redressal of complaints by Nodal Officer.----- The Nodal Officer shall redress the complaints of the consumer within ten days of the registration of the complaint under clause (b) of regulation 8:
Provided that complaints relating to fault or disruption of service or disconnection of service shall be redressed within three days from the date of registration of complaint under clause (b) of regulation 8:

I have even sent this to Nodal officer but still not getting any response from anyone except for the standard email that has been sent to me about someone would contact me if I provide my contact number at [protected]@in.airtel.com.

Now even look at that, the call reference number that I mentioned in my previous post already has my contact number that Airtel is asking me. This means no one has even gone through the call reference number before replying me over my post because had they looked at the details, they would have certainly got my contact number.

                            Bravo Airtel!!!

                            Deepak Sharma
Forgot to mention, not even once I have been contacted by Airtel, even after giving my contact details after their reply on this post.

                            Hi,

My issue is still not resolved and today is the last day for porting id getting expired. I spoke with Mr. Sunil Kumar on Sunday afternoon and he asked me to make a payment of Rs300 (Unbilled amount was Rs286) by Monday. He promised me that he will send NOC to Vodafone by Monday night. I made a payment of Rs300 on Monday but nothing has been done from airtel so far. When I called up airtel on Monday night, executives told me that I still have a balance of Rs.23. This happened when I didn’t use this number from Sunday night to Monday. This is totally ridiculous. I am a old customer of airtel and I have done all payments promptly till now. Today, Tuesday I called up customer care min 8 times (Called from [protected]) to talk to Mr. Sunil Kumar but no one transferred the call.

This is to inform you all that if porting out is not done by today EOD, then I will not make even single rupee payment against this number and I will disconnect all 5 airtel numbers.

I have also filed a complaint in consumer court for this issue.

                            Thanks and Regards,

                            Dear Sir/ madam,

This is Vijetha working in Oracle India. I have a serious issue with Airtel services when I applied for mobile number portability. I want to switch from Airtel to Vodafone for my number [protected] since our company has contract with Vodafone. I applied for portability long back but still its not done. Every time I call customer care, I get different process and procedures. I am fed up calling customer care for this and I don’t know what to do.

I have cleared my outstanding amount, changed corporate plan, I have submitted documents to Vodafone 20 days back. Vodafone says there is a problem from airtel side. Today one of your executive told me that it will be done in 7 working days. I will wait for exactly 7 working days from tomorrow. I will not bear any more torchure from airtel services and I will disconnect all my airtel numbers including broadband. I will go for some other service provider.

This is totally ridiculous. I look back for positive service.

                            Thanks and Regards,

                            AirTel — Mobile Portability Number

                            Dear Sir,
I have applied for mobile portability number on 24th Jan 2012. My number is [protected]. I wanted to shift from Tata Docomo to Airtel. Each time I talk to customer care of Airtel, they never give a proper reply. Sometimes they say the issue is with Tata Docomo, sometimes we have not received you request or sometimes it will take 4 days.
Yesterday, I talk to one of the executive of Airtel, he said that it may take 2 months or even an year to get transfer, people have applied since 2 & 1/2 months & still they are waiting. Still they are waiting . Twice I have generated Unique Portability Code.
If this is the way Airtel works then I am sorry to say I am very much disappointed with there service & response & also for going for Airtel.
I wanted to know if there is any way to lodge a complain, if it is please send me the procedure.
                            Hi Khanshahab,

We have received your complaint and we will ensure it is resolved soon.

I wanted to shift from tata docomo to airtel. I had applied for mobile number portability on 20th february 2012 in the airtel relationship centre in the electronic city branch. I had submitted all my documents as well. they told me within 7 working days i will get the porting message. no information cam from their side. regular calls, they dont lift the calls. I again visited teh centre on 2nd march and i was told after half an hour to one hour waiting and status checks that back end has entered the porting code wrong and i need to generate it again and wait fro another 7 working days. I again generated teh code and waited for 7 working days . but till 15th march again no confirmation. they have stopped responding to the calls as well. I visited the centre again and they say that back end has again entered the porting code wrong, i need to generate it again and wait. this is sick! the staff there doesnt know how to talk, if the customer is talking, they either walk away or dont respond. they dont have proper information. they make me sit for hours for status checks, why? because back end people are in meeting.

i am very disapoointed with the service. never expected this unprofessional ism from airtel

Have applied for mobile number portability for 12 days back. Had got a call from my existing service provider Airtel 10 days back. Their network is pathetic. They have not yet released my number. I have very poor connectivity at my residence, while all other network connectivity is good. The committed days of number release is 7-8 days. There has been no response from them.

I had applied for porting and talk to Airtel Executives. They told me procedures and applied on 25/10/2012. Many times ur executive offers me different CUG plans but I refused to accept because I am not intersted in AIRTEL connection. I can submit my papers on 01/11/2012 in Vodafone office.

On 03/11/2012 I received a massage in which they wrote me due to subsisting contractual obligation porting request rejected.

When I can talk to customer care in Airtel they told me please send us one mail from your office (LIC) . On 05/11/2012 our S. Branch Manager send a mail that please exclude above said no. we have no objection. After sending mail I talk to your executive they told me within a day or two days we will port out your no. But on 06/11/2012 they told me sorry we can not port out because this no. is CUG no. When I can pay my all bills from my pocket and no. is on my name from more than 5 Years. Please port out my no. as early as possible.

                            regards

Hi, my husband applied for mobile number portability from Aircel to Airtel about two months back when he was approached through an Airtel agent ([protected]). He even provided my husband with an Airtel sim and said it would be activated soon. One day, Aircel deactivated my husband's number that he should only contact Airtel going forward regarding his number portability. The agent then took the sim number from us and assured the number would be activated within a day. Even after contacting Airtel customer care and the Airtel authorized agent, the number portability does not seem to happen at all. The customer service provided by Airtel is very bad. We even visited the Airtel head office at Santhome but the response from the Airtel people was that the agent never submitted the relevant papers. They are authorizing some random persons as their agents and it’s the customers who are suffering at the end. The least is we expect is the customer care to contact and provide updates for the customers but all they ever do is find an irrelevant answer and then cut the call. We expect the customer care from Airtel to contact us at the earliest and fix this issue. My contact number is[protected].
I had applied for Mobile Number Portability. I am sick and tired of Airtel Customer Care telling me that they will "arrange for a callback". I just want to get to another service provider.

                                    Dear Sir/Madam
I am a subscriber of the Airtel Digital TV DTH service. My subscriber ID is [protected]. I changed my base subscription plan to Ultra HD 6 months on 24 March 2012. In the channel list for the same the official website mentions 'UTV STARS HD' whereas it is not available for viewing. Also I subscribed to a Topup named Zee HD sachet priced at Rs.0 from the website whereas I was charged Rs.7+tax per month for it.Only after complaining the company cancelled the subscription. Before I changed my plan the website mentioned the channel WB twice in English + and WB topup each. Whether the company had been charging me for the same channel twice, I am unaware of. But such irresponsible and insincere attitude reveals the nature of the company. I believe my Right To Accurate Information about services I consume under the COPRA has been violated and the company should be penalised for it and my money should be reimbursed.

I've taken Airtel 3G card in September 2011 with the confirm speeds in the location I resides. From day-1 I was not able to use the services as the signal strength was very low. Even after repeated complaints the problem didn't got solved and I asked them to close the connection.

Now they are harassing me saying I need to pay the bill even if the services were not available, and telling me that you will be taken to the court. This is ridicules and shows high headed of the company.

Please let me know what should be the next steps.

Hi I've been tracking this request from 1.5 months now; I'm still receiving payment calls without resolving my issue.

I'm not able to use the USB dongle and won't pay any amount till I get this issue resolved.

If you can not provide the services at my location please cancel my subscription and let me know how can I get the amount I've paid for the dongle.

OK. I've not used the data card except checking if the issue is fixed and I don't expect to receive a bill for services not used as it's not usable.

Please suggest what's the way for getting my bill reverted till this issue is resolved.

I'm not able to use the services as it does not work in my home. I've opened a
service request 40505977 which is not yet closed. I'll not be paying any bills
as I'm not able to use the services.

I've already escalated the issue but still not resolution happen till now; I
want to get refund of the cost I paid for the USB dongle.

Hi I've bought Airtel 3G dongle around 1 and half months back on the
assurance that it work in the area I live. It's Serene County, Telecom
                                      Nagar Gachibowli, Hyderabad.

From day-1 It's very slow and unusable even for VOIP calls! I've already
logged a complaint around 1 month back but no action has been taken yet. I
called customer care yesterday also without any action!

Also please let me know how to surrender the connection as I won't be
continuing this connection if the resolution is not made for this.

This is regarding the following complaint numbers

I have repeatedly complained to airtel executives that we have a severe network issue in our home. In fact, there are multiple airtel subscribers in our apartment complex facing the same issue. There is absolutely no network inside the house (ground floor). I have even taken signatures of 10 different subscribers from my apartment complex and sent the same to Airtel

Their technicians have visited the site 3 times and have tested the network and agree that there is no coverage inside. Inspite of that, I have emails from nodal officer regretting that nothing can be done about it and that the network is acceptable
