Dear Sir /Madam,


I am Shrikant Chopade working with a MNC company ,Iam using Airtel Prepaid service for mobile .
few days back i got some fraud value added service by company which is explained in detail below


i have not requested or submitted any message to the company for the hallo tune services which is activated on my mobile & a big amount deducted.i asked for the evidence or record of request sent by me to the company but they don't have it and denies to refund the deducted money to my account,
i was unaware about it and company don't have any record that i am using this service,
this is complete blind and fraud business by Airtel network.

Airtel Prepaid — Charged for service not used

I received 2 SMS on 5/1/2011 at 22:31:10 and 22:39:43 from my mobile service provided viz. AIRTEL informing me that Rs. 15 /- each has been deduced for using services namely ACTIVE DEALS and SUBNOBAD.I have never used these services hence I called up there helpline 121 and informed them. The person who spoke to me was Mr. Anand Jadhav who politely said that nothing can be done if the amount has been deducted as it cannot be credited back. I insisted that I need a complaint number which after a long wait was given to me which is 5808845. I asked him where next can I complaint to which he said nothing can be done and disconnected. Kindly help me.

10-03-11 when I go to sleep at night i check my balance and when wake-up in the morning. I have check my balance again and found that a sum of Rs.20/- deducted my account without any reason. with a request to you refund my amount of Rs.20/- at the earliest. My mobil no. [protected] I loved in Yamunanagar, Haryana. This happen with me so many times. its not fair you doing with customer.

    I had a Airtel postpaid mobile connection [protected] that belongs to Assam circle and was in roaming in Mumbai, Maharashtra circle from 27/03/2011 and stopped working since 03/03/2011. Inspite of giving repeated complaints at both 121 and Airtel relationship centers the problem has not been resolved yet. I had even written a mail to nodal officer at: nodalofficer.[protected]@airtel.in but he/she did not even bother to reply.

    Therefore I wish to terminate my connection and seek compensation for loss of business and harassment.

    AIRTEL MUMBAI-POSTPAID — DISCONNECTION OF SERVICE WITHOUT INFORMING

    I Shailesh Gaikwad having AIRTEL postpaid connection since last 4 years. My no is [protected].I am regularly paying my bills .on 26 August 2009 I received call on other mobile no to continu the service. I asked the Executive that my cell is working.He told me that it is dicontinued from 19th August 2009 for not using our service and paying only retals every month.I replied that i am paying the bills regulary I am having other connection so i am not using the same but the payment for rentals is on time.He then replied that they thought that you are not intrested in using our services so i replied that i never told you to discontined my service .I wanted to know how AIRTEL can do it without giving any written communication.

      When I recharge my mobile, automaticaly Rs. 30 have been deducted from balance during the last 4 - 5 months.
      I talk several times to the customer care executive, but unfortunately some service packs yet to deactivate.

      so please look into this mater at the earliest for the deactivation of all the unwanted service packs.

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        I have a airtel connection with number - [protected].

        I went to New Delhi on 17.01.2011 from West Bengal near about 1.00 PM and after 4.00 PM outgoing calls are stopped from my number. then after reaching new delhi i complained to customer care (121) for this problem on 18.01.2011 near about 5.00 PM (complain no - [protected]) but they couldn't help me, then i called to Nodal Officer ([protected]) on 18.01.2011 near about 5.30 PM and they told me for waiting upto 20.01.2011 at 6.00 PM. On 20.01.2011, i received call from nodal officer on 20.01.2011 but they couldn't solve my problem and told me for wait. From 26.01.2011 my Incoming call is also stopped and due to this i have faced many many problems from 17.01.2011 to 05.02.2011.

        On 03.02.2011 i came back to West Bengal but my number still not working so i again complain to nodal officer ([protected]) with complain no.[protected] but he is also told me for wait some time.

        finally i have to recharge again the lifetime power for reactive of my service on 05.02.2011.

        for this problem i was mentally harassed and also used to contact with any person through Public Telephone.

        Now i am fully decide to complain at Consumer Court for a reasonable compensation for all that problem.

        so please do the needful as earliest.

          Hi, I am an Airtel customer for 2 years. My no is [protected]. But I was sick of the service and decided to change to BSNL using MNP. I gave request to bsnl on 4/3/2011 by filling out a form. They processed the request and after that I got a call from Airtel offering some new plans but I rejected it and confirmed my change. But strangely, I got a message from BSNL stating that the port in request was rejected by airtel due to UPC (Unique Porting Code) Mismatch. Today (10/3/2011) I went to the bsnl office and checked the code they had entered and it was correct and valid. They said Airtel might have done fraud. So I contacted the senior officers but they said, first I have to disconnect from airtel. Then only they can do something. So I tried to contact the customer care. But for months I have been blocked from the customer care.(Its their policy against customers who complain). So I was unable to contact them. I got the number of Airtel nodal officer in kerala from TRAI site and called it. It played a sweet music and nobody answered. Same was with the Appellate authority. What can I do? How can I give myself a complaint to TRAI? If any of you Airtel people are reading this, please note this. I am studying in a college with 2000 students. And you are going to lose a lot of customers...

            I never download anything from airtel provider before this..I want my money back since rs 99 is a lot of money..pls return my money back..

              i hv logged a complain on 20/06/08 regarding network but till the date, my complian is havent solved, after that i hv made sevral complain but all the time i was misguided, i dont know what i am suppose to do.

              AirTel — network related

              I am using my airtel prepaid connection since the airtel lanched in kashmir . but i am not satisfied with its network as a am not getting proper netork in the area where i am actiually residing . i made many complaints regarding the same but all in vain and i have recieved many calls from airtel customer care, they always assured me that the problem will be resolved very soon. now the only option for me is to change the network operator. i also tried for MNP ( Mobile number portability ) for which i have been asked to make call on 1900 for UPC, i got the information from IVR that we will contact you within 6 hours . but i did not recieve any call from their side.

                My trouble started once I bought the Sony LCD.

                First the sales person at Big Bazaar, Cosmos didn’t mention on the additional Rs 1000. Opps!!! Why should they highlight that the product is costing Rs 1000 more? Now when we have to shell out Rs 1000, don't know why is it called free. You don't buy a HD box to put it your showcase. Don’t know who to blame here: Sony or Airtel. But sure, none would like to touch that topic.

                Then the sales man promised (do these sales person know the meaning of the word: Promise) that the HD box will be delivered along with the LCD. I didn’t get it and I was not surprised considering the previous experience of Rs 1000. Now the delivery person said that the Sony personal would be delivering the Airtel HD. Now the Sony personal (mob [protected]) asked me to contact Airtel to get it.

                Now stuck with Airtel. I have browsed through the site to get the voucher online, but no use. Tried the toll free no: 12148, same result. They said they will call back within 10 minutes. 10 hours past…still waiting. This is despite the fact that I am a Airtel post paid customer for the last 6 years!!!!!

                BTW the Sony website says: ‘Sony shall not be held responsible for Coupon activation issues or related services, all disputes have to be directly handled with the Digital TV service provider.’ Good Prediction!!!

                Requesting all to avoid this offer as it would create big headache running from pole to pole.

                Is this an automated reply...A search in this database would yield lots of such standard reply from Airtel. It would be great, rather than spending your time in this website, u guys spend some at ur CC.

                I will be posting screen shots of the number of time I have contacted the CC, once I get my mobile bill. That will show how much "CARE" is shown by the "CUSTOMER CARE".

                airtel hd — Lies to sell HD box

                I was having poor information on HD channels. I was not knowing about HD and channels.
                I was soccer fan, So I wanted to purchase 40" TV along with HD channels. So I started enquiring on HD setup box and channels. Reliance HD sales guy clearly told we only sell one HD channel remaining all are not HD, but have more clarity with some other feature. When enquired TATA also told same.
                When enquired Airtel They told all channels are HD at same price. So I decided to go for it as world cup games started also thinking about future. So I purchased 40" Sony Bravia and Airtel DTH.
                Airtel DTH promised me install in 2 days. To my horror they installed in 5 days. I lost 2 of my fevorite German and Argentina games in time. After 5 days they installed. When I saw channels all are in normal range. I did not see much clarity.
                When enquired they said 5 times clarity than cable channels !!! Not High Definition !! when called call centers for reason they told you have to setup for High definition in setup box. I did setup the same. I saw little better clarity. To watch channels in 40" I had to keep it stretch mode from 4:3 to fit into 40" in 16:9 mode. Though my wife liked it. I am electronic engineer knows this not the way to watch channels. It looked all persons fatty and blobed faces.. I know for sure It was not High Definition (1920x1080) .
                For me it was not much difference to me watching Airtel channels in 40" in high definition more except it is in bigger screen.
                I enquired call center again after knowing it is not high definition channels, Then they told me shocking news, There is only ESPN HD channel now, later they will introduce NG and Discovery and it will continue so all channnel one day wiill be HD !!!! To my horror they told I had to pay another 100 Rs per HD channel.
                I then realized sales guy lied to me.
                I checked there site again to verify that it mentioned better clarity and ESPN in HD offer till ESPN games are over. I again enquired about the offer then they told It is available you can watch game in HD. Which was not. It contiued till end of Soccer World Cup. I checked every day ESPN HD channel, it mentioned paid channel. I watched only world cup closing ceremony in ESPN HD.
                I really loved to watch that game in HD in 40" somy bravia. I then realized the this is HD. not the one I watched regularly.
                Once world cup is over I hated Airtel som much for that I missed HD for there less informing/cheating sales guys to sell there HD setupboxes at higher price with higher monthly price to watch same clarity as normal DTH.

                I am sharing this experiance to not to get fooled by Sales guys.
                Don't purchace more than 32" TV as it is not worth as there are no HD channels india. Except National Geographic and Discovery. 40" is worth only for HD channles.
                Dont purchase HD setup boxes till all channels are in HD.
                If you keen to watch NG and Discovery and very few (2-3) in HD then ready to pay 350 + 100 + 100 .. for each channel ..
                First of all don't purchase Airtel DTH they are all liars...
                They give all ad that 5X clarity with Karina..dont fall for it... It is just bull...t clarity..

                Same is case with 40" tv sellers. They sell with there own DVD player with HD movies. atleast 40" tv can be used watching HD dvd's (!!)
                Still airtel HD is not competative with other HD providers.They are very slow in introducing new HD channel.we are ready to pay any extra charges.what for ADTV is waiting to introduce more HD channels
                This is true. Airtel is the cheating company in India. They have grown by cheating people (experianced with mobile service as well only Broadband service is good in Airtel). They will give false information while taking connection and about offers etc. Customer service is pathetic and the quality of HD is also low comparing with tata sky. SD quality is too bad I think Airtel compresses the content a lot before they broadcast.

                Guys, My advice is please go for TataSky. They will do genuine business not promise more than what they can do. I have compared the quality with Airtel and it seem quite good both picture and quality. And moreover heard that Tata will share their profits with Charities.

                My collegues (and net reviews) have advised about Airtel service and quality but I have ignored because of number of 14 HD channels but am regreting now. My advice is never go for Airtel for any service except for broadband.

                We do not encourage these kind of companies. My sincere advice is to avoid Airtel.

                  I have been trying to call to Airtel customer care but they are not picking phone and some time 121 no does not work and facing the problem...Once a call connected to customer executive then I explained my problem then she told me to wait some time, having hold 30 minutes despite call has been disconected and now I have been trying to customer care....
                  Now Bharti Airtel is not providing service properly.... now time has come to change....

                    I purchased Airtel DishT V connection on dated 21 Feb under the exchange offer ,Offered by one of a distributor named : Saini Electronics but he sent a guy for the installation of the same but didnt provide any bill for the amt taken rs 1000/- for installation,now the connection is not working ,i also made complaind to the customer care,they are also just giving the fake communications for the visit but no one visiting to check it,plz get it check done otherwise i will go to consumer court for the further action...

                      Hi,

                      Am using airtel prepaid no: [protected] for the past 3 years.

                      I registered for DND on 19th Jan 2011.

                      But still now am receiving more than 60-70 sms per day from Airtel.

                      I made complaint to Airtel Customer Care, Nodel Officer and wrote a mail to [protected]@barthi.in.

                      But none of them are taking care about my complaint.

                      Really Airtel customer care is not taking care about the customers.

                        i'm mahesh with mobile no [protected] i gave a complaint regarding balance from my account on 8 march 2011, my complaint no is [protected], later i tried to call u many times but my mobile is not getting connected to you. as well i dint download any game until unless its free. and also u activated some other service without contacting me. even though its free for trial version till 10 march. i want you people to stop the web service which was activated on 8 march and credit my balance on my mobile. i wish you resolve it by 12 march.
                        i'm customer for airtel from last 5 years as well my family. even i'm thinking to jump for your 3g service. if you wont resolve it i will switch to some other network provider.

                          Hi ,

                          I have got airtel broadband connection for past 2months ,landline
                          number [protected] .
                          I am shocked and surprise of the broadband services provided by airtel
                          with frequent disconnection of broadband and landline signal form the
                          day one to till date i got this connection .

                          I have registered various complaints from the day i got this
                          connection.This was fixed temporarily for that time.
                          During the past few days i have logged many complaints almost every
                          day but till today no service engineer visited my home neither anyone
                          bothered to call me and find if my issue is resolved or still
                          persists.
                          I am sure if any lapse in payment from a customer is found by you
                          ,service provider will suck the blood of the customer till he pay back
                          the outstanding.I want to question you ,is this not the
                          responsibility of service provider to see what is the latest status of
                          the customer after the complaint logged?
                          I am surprised to see this kind of service from one of the leading
                          service provider in India to have this kind of miserable staff with
                          them that too in city like Bangalore IT HUB,i am afraid what would be
                          the kind of service in district/town /village?

                          This issue is not fixed till date.
                          I have done few escalations also and requested to restore the services.
                          I am incurring a huge loss in by business day to day because of this issue.

                          Please take my request to escalate against the culprits of the staff
                          responsible for this inconvenience caused to me and see that is issue
                          is fixed ASAP.

                          And also wave off my rental paid till date .

                          I might have to publish/proceed this issue in every legal manner, if i
                          am not finding a appropriate response from airtel on the issue.

                          Airtel — Frequent disconnection of broadband causing loss in business

                          This is a recurring issue. I am a stock broker and require broadband for running my business. There have been recurring problems from airtel broadband. The connection keeps disconnecting frequently, and during business timings. This causes a lot of discomfort and irritation to my clients.

                          I had emailed the customer care and demanded compensation about 2 months back. They assured me that this will never happen again. Now, again, in a span of 25 minutes, the broadband disconnected 4 times.

                          So this time, I have had enough and am demanding compensation from them.

                            Dated[protected] requested to PORT my RIM number ([protected]) to Airtel (RV9EBTIM), So I submitted all required documents to M/S Jakir Enterprise ( Rural Distributors of Airtel, Bethuadahari, Nakashipara, Nadia) after few days of submission my number is successfully ported. But now my number is stopped working due to not receiving of documents and M/S Jakir Enterprise ( Rural Distributors of Airtel ) closed their business with Airtel. I ask customer care for solution of this problem they said please go another distributor and submit your documents again.
                            I want to know, Why I shall go to another distributor and why should I spear my time and money for their fault. Please take necessary steeps into the matter and oblige.

                              I would like to register a complaint against Airtel India with the consumer forum on account of the following

                              1) The blackberry charges have been levied without consent or prior approval. Airtel agreed that this was done without my knowledged but so far has not reverted the money which they charged (Rs. 4022)
                              2) After having pointing out this aberration/discrepancy not been able to adjust the amount until full payment is made
                              3) Not responding properly to the email communications asking for the adjustment amount or to the question about how the blackberry service got activated . i mailed their 121 several times, got no response.
                              4) Threatening with legal action and rude behavior of some of your company /designated associates
                              5) Un-necessary and uncalled mental harassment of relatives. phone records were scanned to take out the no. of my relatives and they were troubled unnecessarily.

                              I would like to know what right does Airtel has to contact my relatives on its own. I would also like to know how Airtel got hold of the # as it is a violation of privacy norms in my view. On top of that your associates/designates are also guilty of rude behavior and threatening language. Would like to point out that my sister got multiple calls from the #[protected].We believe what has been done comes under the preview of a criminal offence.

                              This is when we have been following up with Airtel even after we did not get response to our questions before we could proceed with any payment or get assurance about any adjustment . We followed up with Airtel Customer support Mr Kiran K and spoke with Anu from Logics Agency. They were kind enough to admit that the company had done a mistake , that the money would be adjusted and there is no reason for anyone from Airtel to be doing what they have (Threatening and mental harassment of the relatives who are completely unconnected with this business)

                              Please understand that these are very serious allegations that your company needs to answer. From my end all I can say is that this whole episode has left a very bad taste in the mouth of a loyal customer who has been with airtel for more than last 10 years and wanted to do so in future ( the very reason why this # was transferred from my husband and we wanted to continue the service without using it while moving short term onsite to US)

                                This is regarding the AIRTEL Hyderabad number I have ([protected])

                                I called up Airtel Customer Care on 9-March-2011 @ 9:46 PM regarding the Bill Payment and GPRS.
                                I paid the bill from Airtel Net Payment and then i got Airtel Netbanking Response "Sorry! Your payment has been cancelled. Please try later" however The money got deducted from my saving accounts.

                                Secondly, I had a GPRS plan of Rs. 99 earlier which I got cancelled some 20 days back and I had a doubt that I was still being charged for that.

                                The agent took more than 9 minutes to tell me
                                1) the bill gets reflected only after 24 hrs
                                2) the GPRS plan is no more active

                                and we had a major argument over this on the phone.

                                After 1 minute of the call got over, I got a call from [protected] saying that "I am calling from Police Station and u just misbehaved with the Airtel agent". I knew that it can't be possible for a POLICE to call because of that so I just disconnected the call.

                                Since then I am getting abusive SMS from the same [protected] number.

                                I kindly request the AIRTEL to train their representatives and DON'T THREATEN THE CUSTOMERS.

                                  On March 3rd at 11:18 PM, while I was sleeping, Airtel sent a message saying "Thanks for downloading MCPACK from airtel. You have been charged Rs. 75". I happened to check this message in the morning. I don't even know what is MCPACK or how it landed on my mobile. When I complained customer care about this, they just sent me an sms saying we can't provide waiver as it was initiated using wap service. If not for wap how will it be downloaded onto my mobie, other than PC connection (which I didn't do). That was the most dumbest reply. The complain was that it happened without my intervention. FYI, there is no one else in my house to access my mobile without my knowledge. Please act on the complain, regarding MCPACK, most commonly found on internet. Hope to see the refund.

                                  Now this is crazy. Now I am charged Rs. 99 saying that I downloaded "Now Get Naughty PlayGirls summer pack @99". I am not even using that phone often, i never even visited any website or enrolled for any service, now why am I being charged. Last time, when MCPACK charged Rs.75 for no reason, I didn't care, but now I am going to email you at this address [protected]@airtel.in, please take care of it orelse I will forced to officially lodge a complaint.

                                    I've submitted Number Portability Request in order to switch ([protected]) to Idea network. I've been getting reasons from Idea that Airtel is giving non-sense reasons just to delay the NMP process evenafter paying the dues. I've generated Portability code multiple times, but still no success. I know Airtel is losing 5 years old customer but they should have thought of this earlier when I raised concerns over network coverage 100s of times. Just now I've receveid an SMS from Airtel saying "Kindly sms CPR to 51619 to cancel the porting request.>Is there any way we can lodge a formal complaint against Airtel thru TRAI etc... ? please advise.-

                                      Dear Forum,

                                      I have a airtel digital TV,
                                      My digital TV account no is:

                                      Since past 4 days I am not receiving any reception through airtel set top box.
                                      When I tried to get through their customer support I was not able to get through the toll free no 12150. It was only until I dialed through the tolled no [protected] that i got hold of somebody.
                                      I dont remember the name of the agent as the call was forwarded 3 times.
                                      Finally the person who answered my question quickly responded that there will be reception failure till 12th March due to Sun out age.
                                      Before I could probe further the agent Hung up.
                                      I again tried calling the Toll free number 12150 and was not able to get anyone. Then when I tried to call on the tolled number, the call connected the agent put me on hold and the call got dropped.

                                      I checked the airtel digital TV site and did not find mention of any Issues the customers could face in reception due to Sun outage (see attachment). My neighbor has a TATA Sky connection and is not facing any issue due to sun outage.
                                      Also if I dont get reception for N number of days why should I pay for that many no of days and am force to make a payment on the next due date?

                                        This is i regards to my Mobile number [protected]

                                        its a Land line phone which is like a wireless handset from last two months
                                        i am not able to use it.

                                        The Problem was one day suddenly it asked for pin number which i punched

                                        in wrong and then it asked for PUK number so i called customer service

                                        from My sisters phone, the advisor asked me to remove the Sim from my

                                        landline phone. which i knew i should not bcoz it have charged me in the

                                        past some RS-250.. i told him abt the same.. he said dont worry its fine.

                                        i took assurance from him and then i removed the Sim. later when i put the

                                        Sim back ..it just displayed Emergency, again i called up the customer

                                        care. this time they refuse saying they dont handle landline query and i need to

                                        go to Airtel gallery. which i did later in a week .

                                        at the Airtel gallery in vasai west near station, they said there is a

                                        charge again for the same amount and suggested me to convert it to mobile

                                        phone, i said i can not convert it to mobile phone as all my numbers are

                                        store and i was pretty happy the the landline scheme,

                                        i told them disconnect it as i am not able to use it and dont want it as

                                        mobile number... and now i have got a bill for Rs-276. without using it

                                        and the too when i have asked the to disconnect.. i am tired going to the

                                        airtel gallery.. please get it is resolve. i would love to keep the landline

                                        as it was working before but not ready to pay the charge and the bill for

                                        which i have not used.. its not abt the money its abt the principles

                                        Hoping this will be sorted out and wait for ur reply
