My post paid airtel mobile number is [protected]. I work in Cisco Systems Bangalore. I requested to convert my connection from corporate plan to personal plan. I gave them the Sale deed of my purchased flat as address proof. The airtel people read the incorrect address from my sale deed and did address verification on the same wrong address. Of course I was not found at the wrong address and hence they deactivated my connection permanently. I went to the airtel office but they said its my fault that I gave the wrong address proof and they can't do anything.

The sale deed was made on 1st October 2008 and it says my name with my permanent address (that is in rajasthan) and the currently residing address (the wrong address where I was earlier living at that time and later I moved to the actual present address where I am living now which was written inside the sale deed and not on the front page). The airtel guys doesn't even know how to read a Sale deed and took the current residing address written on my sale deed as my actual address and did address verification. I didn't do anything wrong and still my connection was deactivated and those guys say that its my fault.

I don't know if giving a complaint here will get me back my connection or not but still its my responsibility to let all people know of the my problems and how stupidly airtel guys work.

its your mistake and you got to take the responsibility………….

i guess i have to post a comment stating what happend to me and the worst experience with airtel coz of your internal mistake………. it is ongoing process till your terminate useless staff of yours and stop sucking customers money coz of your mistake.

i dont grow money nor i cheat ppl like you do…………. forward this mail to your managers for having developed worth less rules which are sopiling customer willingness to go for your connection…………………. andk also for having useless staff

Hi,

My name is sunil and i have got a free airtel simcard on purchase of mobile
from basaveshwarnagar MobileStore, on 26th of feb 2010 and a currency was also
added to this number same day.

I have submitted my DL as address proof and provided the photo, signed in the
forms, now airtel ppl say that the address is not matching.

Presently this particular number is cancelled due to address verification
failed. Now the number is in the name of Krishna murthy or krishna kumar not
very sure about his name and his address.

Today I went to airtel outlet regarding the same issue, they said nothing can
be done and they told me i need to contact the person from where i got the SIM
card. Then i went to mobile store and got it confirmed that the documents were
submitted to airtel.

Now i have no other option and called airtel many times and spoke to :

1) Sneha

2) Anusaya

3) Parthasarathi

all are flour supervisors, every one are saying that SIM card should be
purchased only from airtel outlet.

In this case

1) why are you selling airtel SIM in retail on foot path, in front of shopping
malls and other areas…… are they fake ?

2) if the documents provided at the time of submission is correct and the
currency is added to my number then how did the documents got manipulated ?

3) as a customer what else can i do, i have gone to verify why this happened at
airtel outlet and gone to shop from where i got the airtel sim and spoke to the
person who accepted the documents and they work for Airtel, called customer
care many times……

This is purely your mistake in handling the documents and process that you
follow is also shows that you want to eat away customers money and there is no
one to assist.

They say that they will give 30 days time to submit the documents and they have
terminated the connection on 17th of march……. all these days i have been
trying to converse for solution and today they say that “nothing can be
done”…..

What happened to my SIM card and the Currency that i put on this
number………….

The documents from mobile stores was handed over to Airtel employee
Santosh([protected]) and here after the to airtel… so non handling of
documents is happening at your end.

Its not just my issue at mobile stores but many customers are facing this
issue. People are showing their dissatisfaction towards the processing and the
procedure.

My question is till the time the customers documents are confirmed they will
not activate it, but after confirmation only they add currency…… when there
is such a stupid act which took place at your end, why cant you return our
money……

now my documents is miss used…… i dont know who is using my documents for
their number….if it is wrong hands then you are responsible…

I want my money back and i want the connection too… if not this number, some
other number will also be fine.

numbers from other operators to airtel, saying that this is the best….. but

    Dear Sir,
    I am using Airtel prepaid connection with prepaid ISD calling card recharged
    on[protected] MRP Rs 2200.00 as per terms it is expected to be valid upto[protected]
    During my stay at Rajasthan from[protected]night) to[protected],I was not provided
    with any service thro' my caling card.On my return to my home at Chittaranjan (STD
    Code-0341) West Bengal I could utilise my calling card upto[protected] morning
    and from evening I am getting strange feed back of taking more time than permitted
    to enter my account number of calling card each and every time I am trying to utilise
    my calling card.Since it is important to make international calls I have to call from Airtel prepaid
    account from the same mobile number (VERIFICATION BY AIRTEL FROM OWN DATABASE IS
    MOST WELCOME).By the way I am paying more than three times than the rates charged
    when I call through my calling card and also losing the number of days of my validity
    .

      I have an airtel landline and i've been receiving calls from no [protected] either this is a saudi arab no or a number on found on this link http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/21932/page/2 some shweta sharma. No one says anything when i pickup although you can hear the person on the other side and then it says your call has been put on hold i've never bothered calling the number back! This is becoming a nuisance now as the frequency of calls have increased in the last month! Please advise!

        Sir,

        It is indeed surprising to note that a company as reputed as Bharti Airtel is presently engaged in cheating its customers by sending false SMS assuring of Internet service, free talk time, various types of promos covering value added services and many other services.

        On 08/01/2010 I recieved an SMS to recharge my mobile no [protected] with Rs 98 and avail free internet service for one month. I immediately accepted the offer and recharged my mobile with Rs 98. After recharge I got the confirmation from Airtel that my recharge is successfull. But when I tried to avail the service I was not given access to Internet. I contacted Customer Care immediately and got the reply that no such recharge has been done by me. I asked them why did you confirm back that Recharge succesfull. They said they do not have any record in respect of this.

        Is it not cheating case? Bharti Airtel Customer Care is indeed horrible. Now it is clear that Bharti Airtel has a bunch of hypocrats who take pride as being able to reach anywhere in India & uses SAHARUKH KHAN as their brand ambassador. Bharti Airtel has a well thought out plan that they will make good amount of money by cheating poor villagers in ths manner because they can not go to consumer forum to raise their voice. Now media has to be activated immediately before Bharti Airtel ruin the poor villagers of India.

        the same thing happened today i recharged with rs 98 on my mobile no. [protected] and got the confirmation of recharge but the service was not activated..

          15 rs has been detucted by wrongly claiming that i have selected comedy junction service but i never dialled any cal to opt COMEDY JUNCTION i hav a recieved a msg from 543212 and 15 rs has been detucted . i dont want this comedy junction and you are forcing me to avail this type of services. If no action has been taken by you to stop such practices I have no other alternative except to submit a complaint to TRAI. You should immediately disconnect and credit the deducted amount and appolozise for your wrong practice.My Phone No:[protected]

            On 08-01-10 night 23.06 hours rechared my mobile by online prepaid recharge through ICICI Bank.Immediatly amount debited form account but till now it was not done by the company.from the morning i am tring for customer care but no on attending the call.So please book case against the company in falure of services.
            i also have the same problem. i recharged my airtel prepaid mobile ([protected]) online from pnb net banking. the amount was immediately deducted from my account but i didn't get the balance in my mobile. i've been waiting for 2 hours now. help me as soon as possible.

              Myself buy LG LCD TV in August 2009 with free Airtel set top box. In this scheme Airtel promises 6 months free subscription from activation date and date of activation was mid September 2009.But I have sorry to say you that my servises has been suspended from 5th of Jan 2010, however my claim is till end of Feb 2010.                 Dear Sir,
                As per above mentioned subject I want to told you that I opt an advance Rental for the two year plan on above said number but after 15 days I call in your customer care centre & request for change this plan into AIRTEL Freedom 249 Plan in which call as per .1 paise per second. & adjust advance rental plan on prorate Basis But on that Your Customer Care Executive refuse that this is not possible. But after a weak I recd a call from your Customer Care Centre & they told that They have changed my plan as per request & Advance Rental Plan has been adjusted on prorate Basis.
                But when I Recd a Bill from Your Side I shocked to See that Airtel Deptt has not been reverse advance Rental as per Prorate Basis. Then I Call In your customer care but they refuse it.
                I want to know about that if firstly they refuse that this reversal is not possible then I agree & no phone call made on this matter. But this Plan is changed after then I recd a call from your side then why I bear for that charges

                If you don’t reversal then I have no any option to make a complaint in Consumer Court

                Your action in this regards will be highly appreciated.

                Airtel — re : rental

                dear sir,
                I R.SURESH with airtel mobile no [protected],[protected],[protected],[protected] (total 4 connections) was offered with free rental on plan ra 19 cug 300 but just after few days the post paid plan was converted as ra 19 cug 199 with monthly rental of Rs 199 which i feel is arbitrary and i felt i got cheated . Hence i demand that all the above connections may be cancelled forthwith. any further communications can be done on [protected].

                  Airtel — joke pack not getting unsubscribed

                  my no. is [protected]. I have been trying to unsubscibe a joke pack from last 5 months but all in vain. everytime i get lot of reference no., assurances and apologies and sms format for unsubscription but nothing works and on 16th of every month Rs 10 are deducted from my balance. this time i got sms from 64611010 that i have been renewed for SM_103_SMS_SUBDELSMS on airtel IVR. Now the worst part with airtel is there is no option to talk to customer service executive but recorded message ask to sms ur query to 121 and your problem is never solved. has airtel got no money to employ curtomer service executives or they are least concerned about their customers?

                  I have 5 Airtel no's for my family. So far this problem occurred in three of my nmbers.

                  I CALL AIRTEL A CHEATING BRAND. if this happens once, then i can agree that it may be technical.
                  What this cheating brand going to get with such activity while brands like DOCOMO, IDEA, BSNL are looking for the benefit of customers.

                  This unauthorised joke activation creates tension, anger and wastes lot of time.

                  BETTER CLOSE THE BRAND 'AIRTEL' if you cannot cope with the technical development. thats far better than creating such problems to the customers.

They merrily inform you: 'Welcome. The service is started.' You frantically sms 'STOP STOP STOP'. They say they cannot process that. And they start deducting money wuith the regularity of a pendulum clock.
                  Why should the subscriber be asked to 'STOP' an unsolicited service. If he want he can sms 'START"
                  I don't know who runs this company but it is a shame that such a 'big' man should stoop to the level of a streetside pickpocket. And they do it better than any Fagin or the Artful Dodger.
                  It is like stealing candy from a child.
                  But at the end of the day I can't understand why I stayed with Airtel for as long as I did.

                    Iam gangadhar and used airtel prepaid sim no:[protected] . these no call rates of Airtel to airtel 30 ps/mn, other mobiles 50ps/mn.last 15 days i accepted one call of special 5 jone rates to your friends. On that time call rates are changed all call rates was 1 rs/mnt. so i was unsubcribed that offer but the rates are not changed.please give the old rate pack.on this no special offers wasn't recharged.so i faced problems, So please give the sollution to above said complaint

                    customer care no 121 is not supported only 123 is supported.

                      i have postpaid connection with the no.[protected] from 5 months.from the begining i have suffered lot.firstly inspite of CUG connection i have chrged for internal calling and till now i have not get any waiver insipte o[censored]r customer care executive,at bharti house ahmedabad, have forward the msg.And there is now matter i have shown in the last two bills that i have not been refunded the activation charges which should be refunded by you per month Rs.100.there is another quary is i have charged Rs.500 for just 44 mints show plz reply me how it all were happen.

                        This is to inform that i have lost my Mobile SIM Bearing mobile No [protected] anywhere in train from tambaram to maraimali nagar. But unfortunatly i have not get any chance to Block the same due to that simcard purchased by payment collection executive by submitted his proof. now i could not able to trace the guy where he is. Now i am ready to give a written letter regarding this. Please provide me a solution to get a new sim in my proof.                             Dear Sir/Mam
                            I have a Airtel connection for Punab Region No [protected].Which was with me foe the last five years.I have taken validity till Decemder 2012.Suddenly last year i moved to delhi as i got transfered to Delhi.As i not use my number for around 3 months when i check my sim it got broker.I contacted on cm care for the issuance of new sim but i got shocked to know that the number is transfered to another person.My issue is
                            1.How can you transfer it without consuling me.
                            2 As i have paid for valadity which is till 2012.how can you deactivate my number.
                            I request you to kindly help me out to activate my new number.I shall be very thankful to you.

                              I have been airtel customer for the past 3 years.
                              Always I think Airtel gives the best customer service. That why I also got Airtel Broadband connection too.
                              But, Now a days I have some problem with their service.
                              Without my request, they activate friends chat service and immediately charged Rs.30pm.I call to customer service and they said this service is activated becuase of your request. I said i dont need that service atall and request them to deactivate immediately.
                              They promissed to deactivate the service. But Again I charged Rs.30.
                              Again I call to Customer service, Again they give the promise.
                              Later I make a call to confirm the status, they said that the service still in active and again they give the promise to terminate.
                              After that I have charged Rs.10 for 10 days regarding this friends chat service. This time i got more angry and make a call to customer care and express my angry mind. They terminate the call.
                              After that they activate Hellotunes immediately and charged for Rs.10 for 10 days to revenge me.
                              If i not getting proper action I decide to go for Aircell now and shy to said as airtel customer.
                              Today most of the connections are closed because of poor service.

                                Sir,
                                i am vijaya deni working as a deputy jailor in central prison, visakhapatnam and using airtel prepaid connection with number [protected] for last 8 years. Recently on 20th december i have recharged with Rs.401/- for getting 1000 airtel to airtel minutes and 400 airtel to any GSM sms. i have received the above amount and using it. On the same day i have recieved a message from airtel that i have been given 30 airtel to airtel free minutes for using Rs.125/- talktime in one day as privilage on 22nd all of sudden my airtel to airtel balance of Rs.878/- has been cancelled and the message balance only remained. On 23rd december i have given a compliant at about 3.30 pm regarding my balance with request number [protected], the cse told that its not their duty and it is the duty of technical support people and they will call me and rectify the problem by 28th december. i gave another complaint on the same day with request number [protected]and the cse told the same story. On 24th december afternoon i received a call from tech support and they told my recharge details is not available with them and advised me to contact customer care once again. Then again i called the customer care and the cse has connected my call to the supervisor he told that my problem will be rectified by 29th december with request number[protected]. Then i kept silent till 29th and on 29th december at about 11-30am the cse mr.Jagajeevan babu with out listening to me he told that your problem will be rectified by 4 pm today and disconnected. i made 2 ,3 call s that day the response is same. Again at aroung 3 pm i received a call from tech support people and they promised that my problem will be rectified by 5 pm today. Then i waited till 7-30pm but nothing was done, again i made calls to customer care and spoke to mr. vinod, cse and he is not giving correct information i have requested him to transfer the call to his supervisor then mr. venkat, supervisor spoke to me and told that it will take another 48 hours and your need not call next time for this same problem and it will be rectified by 31st december with request number [protected]. but nothing was done. On 31st again i made calls to customer care and asked me to connect to the supervisor they just keeping on line for some time disconnecting the call. this was happend twice. Again and again i made calls to them then supervisor Srinivas came online and said that your was not rectified and it will take some more time and i have to wait till monday that is on 4.1.2010 then i requested to transfer my call to him manager then mr. pavan kumar, manager came in to line and told that your problem might have been cleared by this what happend i dont know i will check call you back and your problem will be rectified soon i will take this problem with highest priority. Then i have waited till 7-1-2010 because of my busy schedule and made call to customer care again and spoke to mr, suresh and and requested him to connect me to mr. pavan kumar, manager he kept me online for 15 minutes and disconnected the call. Again i made call and spoke to mr. kiran cse he also asked me to be online and connected to escavation manager shahin spoke to me and proper response was not there she simply told that your problem will be rectified and pavan kumar is not in the office and she told that she will get back to me by pavan kumar within half an hour. but till nothing was done. Hence i am forwarding this message for kind perusal and immediate action. Because of this i am unable to wish my friends and relatives for christmas and new year, and the validity of the recharge will alos expires by 19 th jan 2010. Hence i request to kindly take immediate action on airtel and to instruct them to solve my problem and extend the validity period from date of first compliant to date of rectification time (more than 15 days). That may be included in my validity of that recharge voucher.

                                  Hi Sir,

                                  I have been charged with Rs 30 for Audio Movie pack which I have never subsrcibed for. It is not abt 30 Rs but airtel is giving me such services with out asking. Also when I tried to stop the service it is not reaching to the destination Via Online replies.

                                  Also, whenever I try to Call up Call Centre, either there service is down or they are not able to find the details.

                                  Please advise.

                                  Now days i have been charged without my knowledge by different service prescribed by Airtel. Last month Rs.70 after complaint to call centre, I got only Rs. 20 refund for Airtel Radio service pack.

                                  Again this month Rs.30 for Audio Movie pack which i didnt activate, for that i given the complaint, This shows their mistakes by Known.

                                  Please advise as a consumer

                                    i have seen many times customer service of airtel is not upto the mark.on 8th Jan i was trying to send mms,but some how it was not sent may be because of network problem or any other reason.then when i checked my balance,it showed 20 Rupees deduction from main balance and when i tried to call customer care number,no option was available to customer care executive.this is something not acceptable from the company like Airtel.it was also happend earlier but i did not complain.now it is too much,so i had to complain.

                                    I HAVE A AIRTEL BROADBAND CONNECTION WITH ACCOUNT NUMBER 14566993 HAVING TARIFF PLAN 599 Rs. NOW I CAME TO KNOW FROM SOME OF MY FRIENDS THAT THERE IS ONE MORE PLAN OF Rs. 499 HAVING DOUBLE SPEED AND DOUBLE NO OF CALLS SO I CALLED YOUR 121 SERVICES FOR CHANGE IN MY PLAN. SOME OF MY OTHER FRIENDS ALSO DID THE SAME. THERE REQUEST WAS ACCEPTED AND THEIR PLAN WAS CHANGED. BUT MY REQUEST WAS REJECTED REQUEST NO. 30753450 AND FIRST THEY ACCEPTED MY REQUEST AND SAID THAT IT WILL BE ACTIVATED IN 3 DAYS BUT NOW THEY ARE DISAGGRING TO IT??? WHY IS IT SO???WHY IS YOUR COMPANY NOT STABLE ON ITS COMMITMENT???? PLEASE ANSWER?? I WILL NOT HESITATE TO KNOCK THE CONSUMER COURT FOR THIS.

                                      Dear Sir/ Mam,

                                      This is to inform you that me Mr. Vishwanath Roy gifted this no.([protected]) to my sister n she was using this no. since last 2 years, but have never faced this problem, of not receiving the Bill on time. But since last 10-11 mnths she is not getting the bills on time. We have complain abt the same many times to airtel, bt all in vain. Everytime they come up with a new excuse, but they admit thet the fault was 4m there side.
                                      On the contrary still they were bothering my sister by calling up every day in every hr, inspite of our informing the same that we have not received the Bills n now we need a waiveoff of Late Bill Chrgs which is around Rs. 50-Rs75 per mnth.
                                      But no action has been taken on the said. More over they have cancelled my registeration once b4 n even now. This cancellation was done two mnths back from date, n again today they came to my place with the oustanding. While conversation with them abt the same they are threatning me that if i dont make the payment of till date then sever action will be taken against me & now they are openly saying that what ever the reason of not receiving the Bills they dont care.
                                      Hence, we humbly request you to kindly look into the matter & help us.

                                        I am from Chennai and a long time user for AIRTEL. Occasionally I have to visit Bangalore and so require national roaming. ie. I must be able to receive and make calls without interruption.

                                        In the past, I had problems. Even though Airtel is a big national player with all India presence and in Karnataka too, I could not get the comnnection. When I took my complaint to the Airtel office in Malleswaram, they told me that I have to contact Chennai Airtel office. THIS IS THE FIRST COMPLAINT. ie. not responding to customer and disowning responsibility.

                                        Yesterday (07/Jan), I had to be in Bangalore for a planned visit. So day before yesterday (06/Jan) I went to the local Airtel office - in Chennai, before my visit - to confirm that national roaming is available and I would have no problem. They confirmed that national roaming is available and I would have no problem. But the same problem occurs again. ie. no connection. It is very emabrressing and I lost time and opportunity. This is the second complaint. ie. PROMIING BUT NOT PROVIDING SERVICE IN OTHER STATES - WHEN OTHER PROVIDERS ARE ABLE TO DO SO.

                                        Even i have the same issue with my mom's number. She is using a Airtel postpaid and whenever she comes to Bangalore, there is no connectivity in her mobile. Roaming should automatically get active, but why this issue is often occuring. Please check the issue. If this continues then there is no use of having a mobile in the emergency case.
                                        I have the similar problem. I reside in Srinagar and am using airtel number [protected]. I am a frequent visitor to Delhi and other north Indian states. Recently on a visit to Delhi my number didn't work.
                                        Previously I was using an Aircel number that worked throughout the country.
                                        Please let me know what am I supposed to do to get roaming on my number. Otherwise I have no option but to switch over to some other network.
